Ch207, Spoiler pages with fan translation

These two pages have been fan translated (badly, lol), but the gist might be about right.

Finny thinks again to destroy Doll, but he's distracted by Theo reminding him about the approaching staff. Finny doesn't attack Doll or try to grab Snake. He turns to run with the students. I still don't know if he's going to attack the approaching staff or beg for help first.

I also don't know what the snakes are contemplating. Perhaps they decide to get rid of Doll. Perhaps they decide to attack the approaching staff. Maybe, if Snake is really dead, they leave the scene behind and slither away. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But here's the biggest problem with Finny and the others leaving Snake (or his body) with Doll. She could ask Undertaker to turn him into a bizarre doll. Even if he's not willing to support their cause, it might not matter. He could be turned into a basic bizarre doll and presented to our earl (and Finny) later, just to make them feel more guilt for his death. It would be in our earl's best interests for Finny to not leave Snake behind, regardless of whether Doll gets destroyed...

...baby. 👀 😆

Edit: I personally hope the snakes paralyze Doll and escape with the kids. Then Finny and the others think to set the horses free and burn down the barn, which would completely destroy Doll (and Snake) along with the body parts and the killed staff. Can't make bizarre dolls of bodies burned too much....

Vegas won 6-2 over the Ottawa Senators and I felt like it was a good game, despite having a few turnovers and worrying moments at times.

Eichel getting the first goal in the first shot on goal was great and he even extended his scoring to 10 games which is a franchise record for the VGK!

My tv froze for a few minutes and when I turned the game back on all I saw across the screen was that Marchessault got a goal 😂

I hope Hill is able to return at some point better rested because I hated seeing him have to leave so early. You could tell he was frustrated as he got off the ice and it was sad to see him admit he couldn’t do anymore for the night.

I think Thompson did really well tonight but I was worried about him as well because the announcers of the game said he was slow to get up at the end of the 2nd period and that he looked like he was in pain during some plays. We really don’t need more goalies out with injuries and I just hope he’s okay.

It was fine, she was fine, nothing bad would happen. At least that's what reverberated through Zedaph's head for the past month since she'd moved in with Tango.

The two had managed to find a half decent apartment, one that even allowed pets, which she was thankful for even if neither of them currently had any.

But there was something at the back of her mind, bothering her constantly; Tango wasn't happy.

Which could be simple, there could be many reasons for Tango's unhappiness, but Zedaph was (at least among close friends) sometimes notoriously bad at overthinking things.

So here they stood, the sheep busy taking on her part of the chores – Tango had forgotten to fold the laundry for a full week… again… – in the living room while the netherborn cleaned the dishes in the attached kitchenette.

“Hey, Zed… do you– do you ever feel like you don't belong in your skin?” Tango says cautiously.

“What do you mean?” Zedaph asks, though something pulls and sounds so familiar to her ears. A feeling not yet said or revealed in full.

“Just– I don't know, like your reflection isn't yours? Not like– well maybe…” They go on. “Like you don't fit. Your body is wrong but like in some ways it's right.”

And there it was, bright as day and now left out in the open on a hanging thread.

She stood from the couch, walking over to Tango. “What exactly do you mean, Tango?”

They threw their lip, placing a plate onto a rack to dry.

“I don't– I don't know… that's the problem…” They say shyly. “You– I've been thinking about when you first came out to me and it– it almost sounded right but– but I don't– being a ‘man’ doesn't feel right… but neither does being a women…”

Zedaph places a hand on Tango's back then moves the other to his chin, forcing the netherborn to look at her.

“Everyone's feelings about gender are different, Tango.” She says gently. “Sometimes– sometimes it isn't even one to the other. Sometimes it's both or neither or everything under the sun.”

Tango blinks, confusion then crosses their face slowly as the meaning digs deeper.

“Wait, that's an option? Those are options?”

She can't stop herself from laughing at that, it’s well meaning but–

“I don't have to be either and no one told me?!”

“Yes?”

They back up, hands over their face and screaming like something's been released from their soul. A form of pain gone, replaced by confusion and some type of joy.

“Tango, Tango, are you okay?” Zedaph says through laughter.

“I'm just– I'm happy… I guess…”

“Good.” She tugs lightly on their hoodie. “Because I need you out of this.”

“Wow, at least take me to dinner first.”

Dec 17 - ran four loads of laundry, preparing to pack stuff to go down to Toronto for 2-3 weeks. Also did a little cleaning, mostly things like breaking down boxes and getting some loose recyclables into the bin.

Baked some hamburger buns to use up a couple of egg yolks leftover from cookie making the other day, and then served hamburgers, oven fries, and steamed veg for supper.

Anyway, here're those same pages, but all nice and clean. I will get to a page that was somehow left out of the translated spoiler before, though.

Oliver just isn't the sort to resort to killing so easily, which is odd, since Layla/Al is.

Artie doesn't trust Susan to actually help them. She would either stab them the first chance she got and/or send them walking right into a trap (like snipers). So, it made sense to just kill her.

Lighting Overlay 2.0

Lighting Overlay 2.0 is an overlay to create fake shadow on your sims to sort of simulate a more realistic lighting in The Sims 4! I made this overlay CC to improve your screenshots aesthetics, not for gameplay, CAS genetics, etc!

This version is basically a standalone updated version of the first Lighting Overlay. Compared to the first version, it's softer, darker, and blends better. This version also only affects face, neck, a little bit of chest area, and won't affects outfits!. So, it'll be compatible maxis match and alpha outfits!

This version can only be found in Makeup category! It's makeup sliders compatible!

By default, the color of the shadow in the color version is blue/purple-ish. You can use the hue slider to change it into any color!

I highly recommend using the makeup sliders to reduce the white edges by maxing the saturation slider and lowering the brightness slider

Every December, we have a chance to see one of our favorite meteor showers – the Geminids. To help you prepare, we’ve answered some of your most commonly asked questions. Happy viewing, stargazers!

These radar images of near-Earth object 3200 Phaethon were generated by astronomers at the National Science Foundation's Arecibo Observatory on Dec. 17, 2017. Observations of Phaethon were conducted at Arecibo from Dec. 15 through 19, 2017. At time of closest approach on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. PST (6 p.m. EST, 2300 UTC), the asteroid was about 6.4 million miles (10.3 million kilometers) away, or about 27 times the distance from Earth to the Moon. What are the Geminids?

The Geminids are caused by debris from a celestial object known as 3200 Phaethon striking Earth’s atmosphere. Phaethon’s origin is the subject of some debate. Some astronomers consider it to be an extinct comet, based on observations showing some small amount of material leaving its surface. Others argue that it has to be an asteroid because of its orbit and its similarity to the main-belt asteroid Pallas.

All meteors appear to come from the same place in the sky, which is called the radiant. The Geminids appear to radiate from a point in the constellation Gemini, hence the name “Geminids.” The graphic shows the radiants of 388 meteors with speeds of 35 km/s observed by the NASA Fireball Network in December 2020. All the radiants are in Gemini, which means they belong to the Geminid shower. Credit: NASA

Why are they called the Geminids?

All meteors associated with a shower have similar orbits, and they all appear to come from the same place in the sky, which is called the radiant. The Geminids appear to radiate from a point in the constellation Gemini, hence the name “Geminids.”

When is the best time to view them?

The Geminid meteor shower is active for much of December, but the peak will occur during the night of Dec. 13 into the morning of Dec. 14, 2023. Meteor rates in rural areas can be upwards of one per minute this year with minimal moonlight to interfere.

What do I need to see them?

As with all meteor showers, all you need is a clear sky, darkness, a bit of patience, and perhaps warm outerwear and blankets for this one. You don’t need to look in any particular direction, as meteors can generally be seen all over the sky. If you want to take photographs, check out these helpful tips.

Do you have any advice to help me see the Geminids better?

Find the darkest place you can and give your eyes about 30 minutes to adapt to the dark. Avoid looking at your cell phone, as it will disrupt your night vision. Lie flat on your back and look straight up, taking in as much sky as possible.

What will the meteors look like?

According to Bill Cooke, lead for the Meteoroid Environment Office at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, “Most meteors appear to be colorless or white, however the Geminids appear with a greenish hue. They’re pretty meteors!” Depending on the meteor’s chemical composition, the meteor will emit different colors when burned in the Earth’s atmosphere. Oxygen, magnesium, and nickel usually produce green.

YOUR STORY

As a faering, you should want to keep to yourself. Your home is a safe haven where your dragon kin people reside; a place of true neutrality. There are no allies to the Midlands, nor are there enemies. Your people simply are, and this will not change.

But you were never one much for rules, were you? With whispers of a certain prince in the Northlands allegedly receiving death threats from your docile leader, Cirrus, you could only slip away into the depths of the North to go see for yourself. It's so hilariously outrageous that your peace-loving ruler has such rumours teeming about them.

You did not expect to find a bounty hunter bleeding out from her abdomen. And most of all, you did not expect her to know you by name, even through her raggedy breaths. And most of all, you did not expect her to have leads on the one you seek: the Northern Prince.
