This is very wholesome and sappy, so hope that's okay. I'm dosed up to the max on pain relief for this stupid cold I've managed to catch so I'm feeling extra simpy today.

The woodsy smell of pine intertwines with the scent of burning. You and JJ are the stragglers of the Pogues, sat around the campfire outside of the chateau. There’s a blanket draped over your lap to save your ankles from the skeeters. Occasionally, one lands on your neck and you bat it away. The two of you are sat on a chunky log. JJ has his pocketknife out and is cutting dents into the bark. He’s humming a Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s song under breath and you’re tapping your foot along to the rhythm absentmindedly. In your hand is a skewer. You’re roasting a marshmallow over the dying flames. Neither of you are talking. It’s not because you dislike one another. On the contrary, in fact. You and JJ are closer than sand and sea. It’s simply because sometimes words aren’t needed to keep a conversation; silence works better. That to say, when a thought passes your mind, you let it out into the summer night air.

“Tell me a secret?"

“A secret?” JJ asks, pausing his humming.

“Mhm.”

“What kinda secret? A good secret or a bad secret?”

“Good secret. Duh.”

“You gonna blackmail me with it?” he wonders. He’s still stabbing at the bark.

“Depends if it’s good for blackmailing.”

“Fair that,” JJ mumbles.

He sits up and looks into the fire. You pull back your skewer and inspect your marshmallow. Could do with a bit more on the edge…

“I don’t like peas,” JJ says.

You snort and look to him, returning your skewer to dangle above the flames.

“That’s not a secret.”

“Sure it is,” JJ shrugs, meeting your gaze. There’s a faint smile on his face. Eyes tired and lazy from the cannabis and booze. “Nobody else knows it.”

“Nobody?”

“Nope.”

“Not even John B?”

“Hell no, man,” JJ chuckles. You laugh too.

“But it’s not exactly a secret,” you remind him. “Just a fact.”

“Aren’t all secrets just facts, though?” JJ philosophises.

You roll your eyes. Bringing your skewer back to you, you lean down to retrieve a graham cracker from the packet resting by your feet, sliding the marshmallow atop.

“I still feel cheated,” you tell him, taking a bite.

You hold out the s’more for him to have a bite too. He doesn’t take it from your hold. Instead, JJ leans down and takes a bite, making you laugh.

“You tell me a secret then,” JJ says through his chews.

Swallowing your mouthful, you frown. “Why should I?”

“Tit for tat.”

“But I don’t really have any secrets,” you lie.

JJ throws his head back. “Liar. Everyone has a secret.”

“Like not liking peas?”

“Yeah!”

You laugh with JJ.

The fire casts an orange glow on his face. Outlines his jaw and traces the curve of his lips. Reflects brightly in his eyes, as he stares down at you. Something about it makes everything feel more intense, and you look away, down at your half eaten s’more. Taking another bite, you debate over your many secrets. Some are fickle and funny, like how you used to say goodnight to every single one of your named teddy bears (of which, there were many) or how you used to have a fear of animatronics and left a Chuck-E-Cheese crying your eyes out, at a childhood party. Others are die-hard, take-to-the-grave sort of things.

“A secret, huh?” you repeat, quieter now.

JJ nods. He seems to have mellowed out more. Extends his legs out and crosses them at the ankles. His cap has long since been abandoned, earlier in the night. You prefer him without it, if only slightly. It let’s you admire him as a whole. The unruliness of his hair and the defined youthfulness of his features. A gold rush that everybody wants to get their hands on but nobody can ever keep a grasp of. Impermanent like riches.

You look to him when you reply, perhaps watching for a reaction. “You’re my favourite.”

“Your favourite?”

“Mhm,” you nod. Pick at the crumbs of your half-eaten snack. Bask in the crackles of the dying fire.

“Your favourite what?”

“My favourite person,” you shrug.

JJ smiles at you. It’s different to his usual smiles – giddy and playful and mischievous. It’s serene and somewhat flustered, dare you say. Then again, the shine to his cheeks could be from the heat of the fire.

“Really?”

“Really,” you quietly chuckle.

Grinning now, he nudges his shoulder against yours. It’s sad, how after so much time in his company, it still thrills you with excitement. The way you feel about JJ is the type of puppy-dog love a person usually feels only once in their life. Typically in youth, when you’re too dumb to know anything else but idolisation. But what a thing to put on a pedestal, huh? Someone who looks as if they walked out of a sketchbook.

“You’re my favourite person too,” he says to you.

“Don’t bullshit me,” you snort, looking out to the fire. Your appetite has gone suddenly. The air feels thick.

“I ain’t bullshitting anybody.”

“Yeah right,” you say. “John B’s your favourite.”

“He’s alright,” JJ sighs. Looks out to the flames himself. You can only half see his face in your peripheral. “Just don’t think about kissing John B all that much, so I guess that makes you my favourite.”

Darting your head around, you take in his side profile. Your smile is gone. “What?”

“You heard me.”

“Well, I wanna hear it again,” you dumbly say.

JJ chuckles. He looks to you, chin help up high, confident and self-assured. But you know him well. Better than you think, sometimes. His fingers are tapping nervously at the bark of the wood the two of you sit on, side by side. Sea and sand: never one without the other.

“I wanna kiss you,” JJ privately tells you. “I think about it more than I probably should, to be honest.”

You’re face feels a little numb but something tells you that you’re smiling. Small and serendipitous.

“Now that’s a secret, Maybank,” you reply.

There’s the briefest flash of his smile as he chuckles, and the briefest dart of his eyes glancing to your lips, and then he’s leaning down to kiss you. The warmth it breathes into you is stronger than any bonfire you’ve borne witness to. The s’more is ditched in favour of you reaching up, cupping at his face. As you kiss, melding into one another the way marshmallow melts, there’s no worries of what might come next, or anxieties about what this means for your friendship. There’s simply the two of you, like always. Like it should be and like it was intended. Sea and sand.

Spitting thoughts out:

Lmao notice how there is stuff all over the downstairs and the upstairs hallways and staircases but he left the kitchen mostly clean? Same. Getting to food = important.

So it makes sense that they have multiple med kits and fire extinguishers because they’re a rescue family.

Cody seems to have a lot of dinosaur related little kid stuff so Dino kid confirmed.

He seems to be a big reader but Cody’s a smart kid so yeah we could’ve figured that. Also I bet Charlie has preached the need to get off the internet and do other things.

Makes sense that he has a lot of soccer balls because apparently it’s the family sport. Kade, Dani, and Graham have lots of soccer trophies. There was a whole episode about how Cody is bad at soccer.

Makes sense he has a lot of basket balls and baseballs. We see the family play basketball all the time and at the end of the soccer episode, Kade insists Cody try out for baseball.

You would think they’d have a shed or something to put all their sports stuff in??? Why have them inside????

Why the boomboxes?? I could see if one of them used to be Charlie’s and he gave it to Cody, but why two?

The magician hat and the trumpet are both call backs from previous episodes. I don’t remember exactly the trumpet one, but it was when he was trying new things for a lad pioneer badge or extra credit in school or something. Heatwave recommended martial arts but it didn’t go well???

The duplicate of the Teddy bear with the police shirt and the duplicate of the magician hat are clear accidents.

The moose hat is because the moose is the mascot of the team Kade was on.

Why the tuba? What’s with the water tanks? Cody has his own plant? When’d he make the Optimus head? That would’ve been cute to see!

Why the hell does he have so many rubber ducky’s?!?!?!???

“woo! show ‘em whatcha got, y/n!” ashley cheers from the barrel at the shooting range. you give her a quick smile before turning your attention back to the target-zone. after shooting all the targets and a bonus, you received 2 silver tokens and 1 gold token as a reward. “that was so cool!” ashley praises you. “couldn’t have done it without your encouragement.” you wink at her. “pfft, as if!” she rolls her eyes as the two of you walk up to the charm machine. you insert the coins and wait for your charm. out rolls a little gold ball. you take it and open it and inside is a little pink teddy bear charm. without hesitation, you give it to her with a smile. “it’s for you!” you smile warmly. “really?” she grins and you nod. “aw, it’s so cute!” ashley exclaims. “thank you, y/n! i’ll keep it with me forever!” she giggles and hugs you.

You wanted to try something new, you wanted to experience something you had never experienced, and you trusted Will with all your being, and you committed yourself to this man. He cared for you, loved you, Will was the one you went to for everything. You two had built this connection, and you had decided now was to try something new. You had done all your research on this topic, and you wanted to try an intense sexual session.

Your hands gripping at his arms as he thrusts rougher, and his grip turns dark. It wasn't that you weren't enjoying it, you were, but the look in his eyes startled you.

"TEDDY BEAR!" you scream, trying to push his hands away. You give another scream of the safeword.

Blinking a few times, he quickly backs away. Rubbing his head, he looks at you; you're sitting on the floor, your arms wrapped around your knees, and you look up at him.

"Oh shit... fuck... Baby I'm so sorry." He gets down on his knees after putting himself away and pulls you into his lap. Caressing you, pressing you against his chest, his head rests on your head. He picks you up, takes you to the bathtub, and starts the water, placing you in the tub. He looks at you. "I'm sorry." He whispers to you.

"It's okay, you... you scared me Daddy, your eyes got so dark." You whisper.

"I'm sorry. I am so sorry." He begins to wash you; carefully, his touch gentle. Kissing the side of your head. "You're safe. I promise. I won't hurt you." He tells you, reassuring you.

"I know, Daddy..." you say softly.

After your bath, he wraps you in a large fluffy towel and sticks you in your favorite fuzzy Stitch onesie, handing you your favorite teddy bear, and makes you his famous hot chocolate, with extra marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. He turns on your favorite cartoons and hands you some finger food and your drink. Sitting next to you, you curl up next to him and look up at him.

"Thank you, Daddy... Maybe we can try again tomorrow?" you ask.

Nodding his head, he smiles. "Of course, baby." He kisses you softly, rubbing his thumb across your lip, and holds you close.

Adrian chase fic part 5

Vigilante hours were over now.

Now, he was back to being regular adrian, with his regular job, who does regular things. Like go to the grocery store.

Back to cruising the aisles of the snack section trying to decide between fruit by the foots or teddy grahams. His cart mimicked what you'd find if they let a 10 year old shop for groceries.

Gatorade, doritos, hot pockets, pringles, ramen noodles, frozen burritos. There was no one to supervise him in the store, so he was going to eat like somebody who burns 5000 calories a night , because he probably did getting into fights with that suit on.

He walked every snack and junk food aisle like he was born there, eyeballing everything and leaving no box unnoticed.

He went to the dairy aisle, because he wanted to look at all of the cheeses.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, it was the vibration that indicated he was getting a text message, which could be very important, potentially, from chris.

He stuck his fingers into his pocket, fiddling around with the various notes and receipts in there, too. And somehow, in pulling his phone out, his wallet accidentally fell out too. Along with some paper that had been sitting in it.

He groaned to himself, rolling his eyes at the mild inconvenience. He bent down to pick it up, as he heard someone offer to help him pick it all up.

He barely noticed them, too busy focused on picking up his stuff. He muttered a quiet

“No thanks.” To them, waving them off.

He saw their legs as they stood there for a few extra seconds, before shrugging, and responding

“Alright, then.”

And once he had finally picked up the last of his things, he quickly stood up, and wiped his hands on his pants. After giving himself a small, satisfied breath in and out, he was ready to continue his grocery shopping.

But he wasn’t watching where he went, and in his first push, he accidentally pushed it into another cart.

He could hear whoever was behind the other cart pushing gasp slightly. And his stomach dropped when he heard that gasp, because it sounded very familiar

His hands became sweaty, and his mouth became dry. Suddenly, he forgot how to speak. He forgot how to talk to people, and how to act normal, apparently.

“Oh, gosh. Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. Im so sorry, are you okay, sir?” she asked.

But her voice sounded, different somehow.

It was calmer, somehow. She still sounded shy, of course, but she didn’t sound like she was in a constant state of panic. She sounded heavenly, almost.

“Um, sir?” she spoke up, Adrian must have zoned out for a moment, because suddenly, he could see her face, as she lowered hers to look at him.

He lifted his face up to meet hers, silently.

Would she recognize him?

Would she worry he was stalking her and get scared and file a restraining order?

Would she not even notice him?

But their eyes met, their faces examined eachothers, out here, in the jungle that is this supermarket.

Her eyes lit up at the sight of him, her soft, tiny face radiating with happiness, although she wasn’t talking now, either.

They stood there, dumbfounded, and shy.

“Its, um,” she cleared her throat, very, clearly nervous. “Its Adrian, right? Your name is Adrian?”

Her voice was even more gentle now that he'd ever heard before. And he’d heard it a lot. Nearly every single lunch break for the past month and a half had been spent in Her little café, sipping his drink and eating his lunch, pretending to mind his business when, discreetly, but sometimes not so much, he would just listen.

He would listen to the sound of her voice as she talks. The sound of her shoes gently hitting the floor as she walked, the sound of her fingers grabbing different things, and clearing her throat every now and again.

He would watch the way she glided across the room as she took orders, how delicate her fingers were writing things down, fixing her hair. How she’d use a pen to put her hair up if she didn’t have a pony tail.

He knew she was very shy, very quiet, and didn’t like talking about herself too much. Judging by her outfits, she seems to like bright colors, like pink, yellow, and white. She likes flat shoes, flower prints, and her favorite drink is an iced chai tea. She loves cats, and has a sweet little black one at her apartment that she loves.

And she loves growing vegetables, and has a few in her apartment as well.

The information hed been hoarding in his brain had flooded and rushed throughout him as he looked at her, but on the outside, he was empty.

He was a quiet, stammering mess

It wasn’t until she cleared Her throat again, oh so softly, that he was brought back into the moment.

“Um,” she blinked a lot, and cleared het throat a lot too. Maybe she has anxiety, or something. But that’s fine, he had his own problems, too.

“Im, um, I'm Louise.”

He was startled by the simplicity in her greeting.

After all, he’d spent what felt like forever studying her, observing her, listening to her and all of the different sounds she would make throughout the span of an hour.

And…. Here she was. Introducing herself as if it were just, another regular thing.

“Yeah, yes, im- my name, my name is Adrian. That’s my name.” he struggled to speak.

Her eyes were so soft looking at him, and he worried that she wouldn’t like him once she actually started talking to him.

But, suddenly, he heard a noise she does all the time. Its this, this tiny little huff. This little, brief exhale she does when shes about to smile, or say something.

“I, um, I don’t know if you recognize me,”

He could tell she was nervous, she fiddled with her fingers as she spoke and looked down a lot.

“Um, I work in the café you come to every day. And, um,” she struggled. Shes not very good at talking outside of work related things, but it made him smile listening to her. Her voice started to make him feel all soft and warm on the inside.”

“I just wanted to say hi, I suppose.”

She was looking at him differently than the way she looks at people when shes at work. She looked almost.. Excited.

“Well, Louise, I am very pleased to see you, not at work.” he joked, smiling softly at her.

“yeah,” she laughed nervously. “yeah, I um, I like it much better out here.” She joked, laughing nervously.

But oh dear god.

Shes adorable. Shes like a little kitten.

“Um, but I just wanted to say hi.” She cleared Her throat quietly again. She was so much more calm now.

She was so soft, and quiet, and nice and warm and inviting. She felt to him like she was exactly the kind of person he likes being around.

He couldn’t stop staring at her. He was absolutely melting the longer he was in her presence, the more she spoke to him. The feeling she gave him in the pit of his stomach made him feel like a pool of warm pudding.

“Hi Adrian.” He flustered out, his eyes still tenderly gazing at her.

But suddenly, a look of confusion swept across Her face.

“E-excuse me?”

She had that nervous face again, pure panic in Her eyes, but he quickly responded.

“No, I mean, like, that’s what you said. You said hi, and you asked my name, and um, you know,” now it was his turn to be nervous.

“Hi Adrian!” he mimicked her, lifting his hand up to mimic a wave Hello.

She let out a loud, relieved sigh, before smiling at him again.

“Oh, thank goodness. I was so worried you were making fun of me for a second.”

“What?! No! Never, I would never do that to you”

She looked at him, Her eyes were soft and kind on him as he just, stared back. His sweet, goofy smile was threatening to peek through the corners of his lips as they stood there, completely enamored with one another.

It must have been a minute while they were distracted, because the sounds of cars honking outside had brought them back to reality.

“Um, so I, um,” she stuttered, fidgeting her fingers again.

“Ill see you for lunch on Monday?”

“Absolutely!” he nearly shouted in excitement.

“Same time as always?” she asked shyly, her face growing rosy with a soft blush spreading across her cheeks.

And dear god, if he wasn’t a puddle on the floor already, her words and face had turned his body and insides into a puddle of melted ice cream in front of Her.

How could he resist Her? She has the most charming little demeanor of anybody he’s ever met.

“Same as always.” He smiled back at her.

And with that, she gave him a little wave and a smile, before turning to leave.

Before walking out the door, she couldn’t resist one last goodbye. She turned Her head to see his face, and let out one last little

“Goodbye, Adrian.” and he sighed, softly, before responding back

“Goodbye, Louise.”

And with their goodbyes, she wheeled past him, her smile from ear to ear as she walked by him, to the end of the aisle.

He could spot her from where he was, he watched her go the opposite way as he stayed where he stood, still im shock over the encounter.

He dazed out for another second there, his brain going absentminded as he got lost in his thoughts for a minute.

And Adrian, Adrian chase, knew he had an ooey, gooey, big, fat, gushy mushy crush on Louise, and he was okay with that.

Fatgum x OC: oneshots 1 Daddy and baby's day out.

Taishiro's wife Violet is exhausted from staying up with their baby, so the tender tank hero decides to take their little one to work with him, Not on patrol! their gonna spend time in his office, so mommy can have few hours of sleep. While there they gets a lot of familiar visitors.

"Ai-chan!~ you’re going out with daddy today!" Taishiro cooed to his two month old daughter as his wife got the baby secured in the carrier for him, unfortunately the carrier was a little too small on his bigger form, so it was gonna be Fit-gum today! or at least until they get to his office... where he always keeps extra food around in bulk, Tai's thoughts were broken by his wife handing him the diaper bag, while rambling about Taiga's naps and feeding times. "She's starting to roll, So try make sure she's on her back during a nap. If the formula is too hot- put it in the fridge for-"  

The blond man cut his wife off by pulling her close and kissing her on the head. "You don't have worry my little sugar queen, We'll be fine,  just worry about you today, Okay?" the red head blushed and tiredly mumbling "I love you." before going to their bedroom, the pro-hero waited a few minutes before Violet's soft snores reached his ears.

He carefully looked in their room Taishiro felt a wave of relief wash over him seeing his wife sleeping like a log, before looking down at Taiga her little yellow eyes looked up at him curiously before calmly settling against chest soothed by the rhythmic beating of his heartbeat, Taishiro smiled before double checking the that the carrier was secure before zipping his hoodie up half way and quietly walked out of the apartment.  

[At Fat-Gum's Office.]

Taishiro had Taiga set up in her baby swing facing him so she wouldn't get scared and think he left her alone, the tv was was playing some cartoon a low volume which seemed to occupy her little mind, the pro-hero enjoyed some snacks while catching up on his paperwork, occasionally Taiga would babble causing, the blond to look over making she was alright. So far the little bean looked confused as to why her dad's body seemed to be looking taller and rounder by the hour. Just then the office door swung open to reveal Kirishma walking on in, He was asking about his patrol schedule for the week, Taishiro told him to hold on a sec while he typed it out. when the redhead noticed Taiga in her swing.

"Ai-chan!~ are you and mama Gum visiting your papa?" the teen asked in a cutesy tone as he crouched down to see the little one better. Taiga babbled at him as Kirishima's red eyes surveyed the office confused not seeing his mentor's wife anywhere; nor did he remember seeing her downstairs. "Did Vi-san step out?" he asked curiously as it was rare for Violet to be far from the baby.

"Nope, It's just me Taiga today."

"Oh, is Vi-san sick or something?"

"Oh no, Violet is just tired, we've started putting Ai-chan to bed in her nursery now, and it's causing her suffer from a bout of separation anxiety. my wife has working to prove that we haven't left her alone." Fatgum explained regret was evident in his tone as he wishes he could've been home to helped Violet a bit more then just giving her today off!

"Hey I'm sure your wife understands..."

Just then Taiga started crying causing Kirishma to panic, he started waving random toys and shaking rattles to try and calm her down! Taishiro who was watching calmly saved what he was doing on the computer and went to check on his daughter. "What's wrong Teddy Graham?" he cooed picking her up, he checked her diaper, Nope. all clear! "Guess you're just hungry, eh? Don't worry Daddy got ya covered!" Taiga quieted and gave her dad bright hopeful eyes at the mention of food, causing Kirishma to chuckle at her reaction, Yep! this was definitely Fatgum's baby..

"Dang, Babies sure do eat a lot!" Kirishma exclaimed brow creased as he and Tamaki who had arrived shortly after him; were watching their mentor feed his daughter for a second in amazement. While most babies would normally have one or half a bottle of formula, Taiga however has about two or three... "the doctor think it's because of mine and Violet's quirks intermingling is causing her have a abnormally large apatite." Taishiro explained while resting Taiga against his shoulder gently rubbing his daughter's back until he heard a little hiccup, with that the blond sat her on his lap, as the redheaded teen absorbed this information, it made sense Both Fatgum and Vi-Shock need to consume an enormous amount of calories and sugar to keeps their quirks active...

Kirishma felt his teeth start to itch as he thought back to that summer when he first met miss Violet. watching the red haired woman straight up eating raw sugar cubes while she used her quirk like bug zapper on hungry mosquitoes. "What do you think Ai-chan's quirk will be?" Tamaki suddenly asked causing their mentor to pause as he thought this over he had absobtion, Violet was electric...

"Conduc-"  before he could answer Gang Orca (who is Taiga's Godfather) burst in to the office along with a very annoyed Endeavor following behind causing everyone to jump. "Where's my little pearl?" he exclaimed before taking Taiga from Taishiro and held her in the air causing her to babble and giggle while Orca cooed and awwed "and what are you two doing here?" Taishiro huffed at the two invaders.

Endeavor grimaced watching orca act like an idiot. "We were having a meeting when this idiot spotted your spawn from the restaurant window... " the fire user grumbled clearly annoyed as they listened to Gang Orca gush to Taiga. "Oh you're getting so big! and looking like Violet every passing day!" he exclaimed cuddling the two month old, her father had tight smile on his face while he and everyone else eyed Taiga and sweatdropped. From her blond hair to her yellow eyes, right down to her toothless Cheshire-like smile; they all thought the same thing.

Violet woke up with a start as she read the alarm clock on the end table. it was almost midnight?! Holy crap! she slept for 14 hours?! she's gotta make dinner! do the laundry!?… she gotta... gotta...Holy damn! she's really gotta pee! the redhead winced as she rushed into the bathroom to do her business, before groggily making her way out into the hall and crept to the baby's room and saw Taiga sleeping soundly with the radio playing a lullaby in low volume...

the redhead's brow as she listened to the woman singing it sounded familiar... Violet sucked in a breath as she realized it was her voice! Her husband must of made a recording of her singing... Why didn't she think about that? but how did Tai... or rather when did Taishiro record her singing?...speaking of which where was her husband?

Teal eyes surveyed the hall before noticed the soft glow from the tv coming from the living room, quietly the tall woman made her way over the living room to find Taishiro in his mid-body form sleeping on the couch; surrounded by snack wrappers and soda cans, on closer inspection Violet could see he had earbuds in and his phone was unlocked...

curious the Canadian hero gently took one of his earbuds out, and brought it to her ear and blushed when she heard her own voice singing "Highway to hell" in the shower! she looked through his playlist and saw he had whole bunch of recordings of her singing when she thought she was alone! Violet's face was almost as red as Kirishma's hair as she set the phone back down and went to put the earbud back, when her teal orbs suddenly met the mischief filled yellow eyes of her husband.

"How long have you been wake for?"

"Since I felt you fiddle around with my earbud, got scared I was going deaf for a second..."

"Sorry gummy, would you like me sing you back to sleep?"

Taishiro stared at his wife's bare legs peeking out from his T-shirt, which was big enough to be a dress on her, his eyes then focused on her exposed shoulder, her clavicle was begging to be kissed and decorated with hickeys. "Gum? are you still there?" the redhead was suddenly down into Taishiro's lap. "I'm not really sleepy...I'm in the mood for a different type of music." the blond said huskily Violet gave her husband a blank look before feeling his hand trail up her thigh... oh!

{after a quiet smexy time because baby in the house..]

Taishiro was back in his fit form, he had a dopy grin on his face as Violet was resting against his chest as they enjoyed some-post sex lollipops. "...Y'know" Violet hummed causing Taishiro to looked at her curiously. "What?" her blond husband asked asked while unwrapping another lollipop and tossing his old chew up stick in the trash. "That was pretty genius...making a mix-tape of my singing for Taiga." She said pointing her lollipop at him. "Oh I didn't come up that, Endeavor told me to do it." Violet gave him skeptical look Taishiro snorted. "I don't quite believe it myself, but it's true."

{flashback}

Endeavor and Gang Orca dropped in unexpectedly, Orca pulled his favorite uncle routine on Taiga and played with the baby until she threw up on him and Gang Orca awkwardly handed Taiga back to Fatgum and the two left. but, not before Endeavor paused stared at back at Taiga then at Taishiro with an unreadable expression. "Does your wife sing to your kid?" the large hero looked back at the fire user incredulously. "Urm..yes?" Fatgum answered unsure why the redhaired man was asking, Endeavor was silent before speaking back up "Make a recording and play it for the baby when it's time to sleep." with that Endeavor left the office.

[flashback end.]

Taishiro finished his story now on his fourth lollipop, Violet still had a rough time believing it. "I thought it wasn't going to work!" the blond said anxiously "I thought the second I put her down she'd start crying, but nope! She heard your voice and Ai-chan just settled down." Just then the couple were interrupted by the startled wail from Taiga's room Violet sighed about get up, only to yelp in surprise when Taishiro put his boxers on and lifted her up bridal style and her brought her to their room laid her down on the bed "Tai the bab-" her husband cut her off with a kiss and pulled away with a smirk. "No,no sugar queen, papa-gum got this!" he said with a wink before going to check on their daughter.

Stretch Lab is a company I currently work for. I am a Flexologist. They are a one on one assisted stretch studio helping people improve their flexibility, decrease their delayed onset muscle soreness, prevent injury, etc. 

Today is a bad day. Well to be honest this week has been a bad week. 

Let me Recap: 

I am a 29 year old personal trainer who just moved to Florida in July. I worked for Stretch Lab up in Connecticut for a while and loved it. I saw they were opening one up near my grandparents and thought, “now’s my chance to move to Florida and be closer to some family there” Taking my boyfriend of not even a year with me as he coaches tennis and Pickle Ball. 

Don’t get me wrong. I love where I grew up being on Long Island. It was expensive to live on my own there though. I loved Connecticut at some points too but in the end it wasn’t home. Florida right now does not feel like home either to me. I feel lost with no direction at this point. 

Yes I am a personal trainer. I went to school for it. Worked at a few gyms (Sportime, and Equinox). At this point in my life though, I don’t know what to do. I like training and helping people achieve goals and getting them back into shape and be healthier. How can I preach what to do when I don’t do it myself anymore? 

I’ve been in a rut I’d say the past 8 months now. Never feeling like I’m good at what I do, never feeling at home anywhere. (aside from StretchLab in Connecticut and Largo) My coworkers do make me feel comfortable and that I can be myself. Sometimes I feel like what I have to say isn’t important or someone else could say it better than me. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about even though I do. 

Anyway so this week has been extra rough due to it raining a lot. We are in our pre-sale season for StretchLab meaning our studio is still in construction. We are doing events outside most of the time. Rain equals no events which equals less pay. Instead of working, I’ve been apartment hunting. That’s an even bigger disaster due to decent areas being out of our budget and ones I do find we can afford, rent super quick to where it’s gone after my shift and drive home. 

Yes we are currently living with my grandparents and moving in with my aunt soon but I don’t like to be a burden on them so I don’t want to stay with them for too long.

So this tumblr was created so I can write down all my feelings, my nutrition, my exercises, my goals, everything related to my training journey. This is the most raw me you will find. Maybe help inspire people struggling like me out there and help myself in the long run be a better trainer.

Goal 2: work for Equinox and build a successful Personal Training Career ❌ (worked for a couple equinox’s one on long island which I loved but the commute was too far after a while and one in Connecticut which was not the same as Long Island, not as helpful and nurturing to new personal trainers)

Goal 3: .... no idea anymore what my goals are.

TJ KAPLAN-ALTMAN is a TWENTY-ONE year old SEVENTH YEAR at Age of Heroes Academy who looks a lot like CODY CHRISTIAN. HE identifies as CIS MALE and rumor has it they’re the adopted child of BILLY KAPLAN & TEDDY ALTMAN. They’re described as DETERMINED & FEROCIOUS and got into the academy due to their ability of EXPERT SHAPESHIFTING & SUPERSKRULL ENHANCEMENT. Their moral alignment is CHAOTIC EVIL. 

found in a pod in the space equivalent of a dumpster, tj was picked up by teddy and some how teddy did not throw him further into space - bless up.

tj is of skrull descent though after being biologically engineered to manipulate fire, absorb kinetic energy, and limited manipulation of force fields. he trained tirelessly as a child, training as a skrull soldier until the lab he was hosted in was raided and he was shoved into an escape pod with coordinates over 300 clicks away. somewhere between 245 and 300 clicks he lost consciousness and the pod fell into hibernation mode. its unclear how long he slept for but he awoke when his pod was opened by teddy altman. adopting his name, tj assimilated into the kaplan-altman lifestyle -- side eyeing the weakness love that the pair flaunted so shamelessly. with time he grew to want something like that, something like his parents had, though the skrull military training that hums in the back of his mind tells him to resist such an obvious achilles’ heel.

ABILITIES

skrull military training - hand-to-hand combat, though he was a kid ya dig so like he’s just extra pretty good at it now and he works diligently and took up mma awhile back so he still good.

fire manipulation - he can project fire from his extremities in ranging intensities, and create, shape, and manipulate existing fire/flames. as a result tj runs hotter than most but he cannot set his entire self alight like johnny storm. he has adept control of this skill from his training as a young child. 

kinetic energy absorption - tj can absorb kinetic energy, removing it from its source and then turn around and use it to enhance his own physical strength, speed, and stamina. as he takes on more hits he metabolizes it to his own advantage and that makes him an excellent field soldier. he absorbs energy not only from punches but also projectiles like bullets and physically based energy beams. ( * he discovered this later on, most likely once he was already at the academy. could be a funny, but not so cute meet-cute or something )

limited force field manipulation - he can create force fields around himself and those in his immediate area. his current radius is 10 feet in any direction. with proximity he can penetration other’s force fields or even break them entirely with focus.

shapeshifting - like any other skrull he can shapeshift, it ain’t special though as a kid he would test his abilities time and time again, turning into furniture or creepily large pencils. sometimes if a movie is particularly boring ( or just not what he’s into ) he’ll study the actors and take on their appearance.

the skrull can like, stretch and like, become rubbery or something. ya girl is not great at summarizing and we made it this far so like. we should be mcfucking grateful that i didn’t pull a graham here. im just being more thorough bc he’s a student and ya gonna see him all the time so ya gotta know what he be like okay. 

they can change size, fly, and mimic sounds and voices bc the skrull are like *pink panther theme plays* s p i e s 

back to tj now, he won’t tell anyone his real name so might as well call him tj. you can try to guess that’d be fun. but he’ll neither confirm or deny. i’d love a running gag where everyone assumes they know his name because one time his eyebrow did a thing when i asked if his name was toenail so i’m pretty sure its toenail or something like that bc at the end of the day im a fucking meme. 

PERSONALITY --

determined is just a nice way to say stubborn. once tj’s mind is made up you could show him a 74 slide powerpoint and he’d dismiss the whole thing. but if its something he doesn’t have an opinion of he’s pretty go with the flow.

ferocious - savagely fierce, cruel, or violent. he comes from a warrior race, fighting is in his blood though he only fights for what he wants and believes in. 

his moral alignment is chaotic evil and he has no respect for rules, other people's lives, or anything but his own desires, which are typically selfish. he has a tendency to be cruel when other’s don’t agree with him and its his instinct to lash out though with parenting his tantrum phase has kind of.. mellowed unless he knows his dads aren’t around to stop him. he absolutely does not mean well but he likes anyone who he thinks is along his same wavelength.

if you powered through this whole thing oh my fucking god, wow. ily but like... love urself, you know you can ask me questions at anytime. the only reason this is so extensive is so that i can refer back to this to refresh myself.  anyway, you know the drill, like this to plot and after work i will be hitting everyone up.

I Scream You Scream

When thinking of ideas for our daughter’s 3rd birthday party, she was on a major ice cream kick (I mean, what kid isn’t... but she was extra excited about it all of the time). So, ice cream party quickly became the theme. 

And, with her birthday falling on a week day and Sunday Funday on my brain, “Sundae Funday” just clicked and came together! There was already a gold letter banner for it and everything. Plus, it was nice having all of Saturday to get everything ready for the Sunday party. 

I pinterested the heck out of ideas to find what would really stick for our party. Ice cream cone centerpieces, a sundae bar with lots of toppings, and an ice cream cart were MUSTS from my research. 

Etsy came through with the best banners, printables (invites, signs, etc), and balloon garland kit (linked everything at the end of the post but also attempted to link throughout the post). 

There are so many fun ice cream themed ways to serve food. I found this great clear acrylic cone stand and served fruit in sugar cones. And, our sweet nanny made popcorn balls on sugar cones that turned out so cute!

Another Etsy find were the ice cream food tents that were a great accent to the decorations. 

The table centerpieces were a combination of a few ideas I saw online. The glass containers themselves were finds from our local Ross. (The gold bottom was not my favorite at first but I’m so glad I got them!)

Then sprinkles went in the bottom with a waffle cone for the flowers. Carnations and hydrangeas give a good ice cream scoop appearance and we added in some wild flowers to liven it up.

Not everyone will care so much about sprinkles matching throughout the party, but I was a bit crazy about the specific colors. So, I found a huge container of them online and used them from the cake to the centerpieces, etc.

Ice cream cone cookies and 3s were an easy cookie decision in the party colors... with sprinkles, of course. Ours were made by Paulie’s Cookies in Houston. They tasted as delicious as they looked!

And, these honeycomb ice cream cones were an easy addition to the party.

I really loved so much about the birthday party, but I’m SUPER proud of the ice cream cart. Unable to locate one to rent or purchase, I tasked my handy husband with making one. He bought the wood, I found the wheels, we had the umbrella, and I bought the letters (and lined them up ever so carefully). He knocked it out of the park!

The balloon garland kit was perfect for recreating this look I found on pinterest (we added in the lavender balloons to pull it in from other parts of the party) and the inflatable ice cream cones were one of the first things I bought for the party!

The ice cream cart photo spot was popular, too. And, thanks to the balloon garland kit I now can create a balloon garland with ease!

Since the kids would no doubt end up on the playset, it got a little ice cream party touch, as well. A mini ice cream banner was the cutest along with mini 3D cones. 

Our talented nanny also created the awesome balloon ice cream cone that she also knocked out of the park. She even managed to add balloon sprinkles!

It was SUPER windy during the party, so it was quite difficult to capture of a photo of the awesome ice cream cone balloon piece completely upright (its even on a sturdy metal pole...).

Two things: 

1) Who remembers the ice cream poppers/shooters (in my daughter’s hand below)? We HAD to have them for the party and the kids LOVED them!

2) The pieces on the floor in the photo below are frozen rose petals. I’d never seen anyone freeze flowers like this! Keep reading for who made that happen.

Scooping ice cream from tubs was the last resort for the party. My first idea was to rent a soft serve machine. Oddly enough, that was a difficult task (finding a company who rented one and would deliver it to our area).  Sharing this with a friend, she recommended trying a local ice cream store for catering.

So, I reached out to Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream. You know, the ice cream spot where they make the ice cream in front of you using science. Not only would that provide entertainment, but it would be one less thing I have to attend to during the party.

Sub Zero to the rescue! 

The owner was great to work with, and he had a great set up complete with science experiments for the kids like the frozen roses. Perfect option for a party!

For the Ice Cream Sundae bar, toppings were the hero. 

But, the set up included two “ice cream sundae” arrangements (white and pink hydrangeas bundled to look like ice cream scoops with burlap wrapped around the stems to look like a cone, and a cherry on top), the ice cream cups each child could take home with them, and our wooden back drop covered in vinyl sprinkles and finished with the “Sundae Funday” gold balloons. 

Toppings on the bar: Marshmallows, crushed Heath Bar (toffee), cherries, mini M&Ms, gummy bears, strawberry wafers, almond slivers, Teddy Grahams, strawberries, sprinkles, cookie dough, peanut butter cup, caramel, chocolate syrup, white chocolate syrup, and whipped topping. 

Clear scoops for the toppings aimed to keep little hands out of touching everything. No telling if that was successful, but they looked great!

Even though ice cream was the main attraction, you can’t have a birthday without cake. 

Sweet Marie’s made the cutest “ice cream cone melting” cake for our girl’s party. And, we ordered some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes from the local grocery store with white icing and added the cupcake holders and cherries to look like ice cream sundaes.

The birthday girl wore a tiara made of sprinkles (a little pricier than I wanted, but it was perfect) and a custom Cuteheads dress with the most perfect ice cream cone buttons on the back. 

The candle for the cake is simple a “3″ I found online that we put adhesive on and sprinkled sprinkles on to match the cake and other decor.

Oh how I wish I could take credit for the melting ice cream cone on the craft table, but I only found the idea on pinterest. Our nanny recreated it!

Rough instructions:  Inspired by Pinterest. We didn’t have specific instructions, but took brown butcher paper to make the cone and added a sheer tan ribbon for the lines. The white “ice cream” is a filler you would use when stuffing pillows or crafts for kids with pink table cloths (I believe we used the plastic ones you can get at any party store) bunched up around the base with craft pom poms sprinkled all over. The cherry is a bunch of sheer red fabric balled up with pink string making the little pink ball on the cherry and a cotton ball on top of that. Used a combination of hot glue and fabric glue to secure things.

In addition to the jump house, our playset, and the trampoline, we had a necklace/bracelet activity for the kids.. These ice cream cone charms paired well with the two sets of beads I ordered for stringing. 

And, the bean bag toss has become a consistent activity at our parties. It was painted with flowers for the first birthday, bubbles for the second, and ice cream for the 3rd. You’ll see the next iteration when I get our son’s 1st birthday posted!

For the adults, I found a fun ice cream champagne idea on pinterest and put my own (easier) spin on it. The post I found suggested scooping vanilla ice cream ahead of time and putting it in the freezer on a pan, which definitely helped get the drinks out quickly. And, we served them in fun gold rimmed champagne flutes that I also used for flowers on the kids’ table.

To make the ice cream drink, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the flute then pour champagne over it. Add a raspberry flavored drink on top... just a little more than a splash. We used the black raspberry Ice Water, but the original recipe called for a homemade raspberry sauce. I did not have the time for it, and the raspberry sparkling water was easy and delicious!

And, last but not least, the kids all went home with some fun ice cream themed goodies. The favor tags were a printable download linked here that was personalized with our girl’s name. And, the cellophane wrapped cups were printed with a similar ice cream cone as the signs and invite. Inside the cups we put ice cream pens, mini sundae shaped lip glosses, stickers, and lollipops.

Then we wrapped cellophane around the cups, tied it with ribbon, and added the favor tags. The kids also took home bath bombs shaped like ice cream scoops with sprinkles. My friend Beth (who owns Manor) made them and they were a hit!

It may have taken me a while to get this comprehensive post together for you guys, but I loved reliving every single detail. My last tip from the party is related to the balloon garland. 

Get a balloon pump for blowing up the balloons, use balloon tape, and enlist help for blowing up balloons. It’ll go much faster with help! And, the balloons will hold air and typically look good at the least for 24 hours. We assembled ours the night before.
