I wanted to put together some of the moments Call Me By Your Name (2017) most reflects Maurice (1987), and I realized that there are soooo many parallels in not only certain shots, but in so much of the story.

Anyways, I think that E.M. Forrester would be super proud of Call Me By Your Name and the influence Maurice had on it.

Note: I haven't seen the second and third film in this study series, so I apologize if I have referenced something awful.

Color studies for Nathan Fowkes' Design with Color and Light course on Schoolism. Technically I'm not done with Creature Anatomy, but the final assignment is a finished illustration which is definitely not my strong point. I think my time would be better spent working on composition and other fundamentals to support such a drawing. Hence, the next course! This week's homework is to create twelve studies of masterful color by other artists. I'm starting with some stills from Filmgrab: Hotel Transylvania, I Killed my Mother, The Revenant, and Kiki's Delivery Service. I didn't notice how so many films are basically monochromatic, and how contextual color is. Each of these took roughly an hour.

(notez sur /10 ma publicité) C’est un site répertoriant de nombreux films et continue dans ajouter assez souvent. Il trie par films, réalisateur, directeur de la photographie ou costumier.e. Très pratique pour des études de couleurs et de composition.
