today's funky frog of the day: the garlic toad (Pelobates fuscus)!!!!!!!!! they're also known as the spadefoot toad. their skin coloration and pattern can vary based on where they're located - their habitat is quite extensive, ranging from western asia to central europe! also, they have soulful eyes.

i fry three cloves of garlic and suddenly feel like a michelin star chef

What is your muse's favorite food dish? Are they able to make it themselves?

Kiragi chicken! Which is basically marinated chicki nuggets. He can make it but he's impatient when it comes to the cooking part and often gets hot oil splatters on his hands and arms.

The chicken turns out good tho.

Jiraiya also likes pickled garlic but canning ain't an option for him and last time a jar exploded where he secretly stored it which pissed off a few people as he did not tell them he accidently made a pickle bomb in their office. Usually hits up the local market for a small jar when the craving hits. Goes crazy if he can find hot pickled garlic as that is a rarer find.

141 and Chinese Food

Just a thought: British 'Chinese' always looks whack, and kinda sad? For having colonized damn near everywhere and stolen like three worlds over worth of stuff --like why's their food always the most bland, unseasoned stuff??

Tf you mean 'toad in the hole' and its lil sausage guys in a bread? Black pudding?? Not what you think, not even pudding I don't think.

I'll literally never get over the fact that Yorkshire pudding is a whole firm bowl thingie and is in fact not pudding.

All their foods are pure deception, I swear.

Like that's poutine without cheese and some chicken balls sir. Anyways, my rant about food aside, cause I sure as shit ain't no Gordon Ramsey or Guy Fieri--back to the vision.

All I can imagine is the 141 not knowing about North American 'Chinese' and when they find out about it, their lives are changed.

Permanently.

There's times when they're on a mission, and Soap will just groan, sliding back in his seat cause goddamit he wants that good good food. He wants honey garlic ribs, lemon shrimp, the sweet and sour pork, crab rangoons. He wants it all.

Then Ghost (along with the others heavily agreeing in the background) reminds him just how utterly gaseous and unbearable he is after, always holding his stomach and whining about eating too much. 'If you eat half of an all you can eat buffet, you're going to have stomach troubles Johnny boy.'

Of course Ghost was loosely joking. I can imagine the lot of them rolling into a joint and clearing the place. Like Ghost, Price and Soap alone would be a force to reckon with. Roach is trying to keep pace but bug boy only has so much room and ain't no where near like them. And finally Gaz, who is just there like 'get a normal fucking plate, it's not going to get up and run away christ'.

The rest couldn't help themselves just much as Soap. The group making sure to only go eat it when they knew they were able to go straight to sleep after. The first time they had tried it, they had to run right after, not fun. Them all passed out was the inevitable end anyhow, a frenzy of piranhas before they became hibernating bears.

Then it would be months again before they would be able to get their sticky lil hands on it. Trying to convince Price to just let them touch down sometimes if they were flying over for a quick bite, he never would.

"We have Chinese at home." is absolutely what Price says, being the strict Dad while if it were up to Ghost, fun Uncle, he'd allow it.

"Noooooooo...." Soap somewhere off in the distance probably, poor man just wants something other than the dreary UK food.

when she's eleven, harry's twelve, and tom is an immortal shard of soul? no.

when she's thirty, harry's thirty-one, and tom is back from the dead for some reason? absolutely. after all, why shouldn't ginny be allowed two orphans, as a treat? and why shouldn't tom be allowed two people who are clearly less good-looking than him to pay him attention? plus, two quidditch players will definitely be willing to do all the work, allowing him to achieve his true form: undying pillow princess.

but - in reality - we all know which way the power dynamic actually lies: tom and ginny are both harry's subs. let's hope that their ability to jointly write a poem has improved since the 'his eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad' days.

there has never been a man with a more flagrant daddy kink than barty crouch jr., and we all know that he threw himself onto lord voldemort's lap the second he arrived in his first death eater meeting. the dark lord advised him that he'd be physically chastised if this behaviour continued. unfortunately for him, that was exactly what barty wanted to happen.

the reason it burned out hard is because lord voldemort also has towering daddy issues. he is even forced to reveal what his real name and background is in an effort to make barty understand that sometimes he'd like to do something other than put on a double-breasted suit and pretend he's come home on time to attend a birthday party. (for example: 'hello son, i've come to pick you up from the orphanage' role-play.)

barty literally couldn't give less of a fuck. lord voldemort is not sorry when he gets turned into a soulless husk.

quirrellmort

lord voldemort - overcome with joy at being back in a human body after a decade - doesn't think through how awkward the aftermath of this will be, and spends the first night he's attached to quirrell's head directing him in a... let's just say... exploration of his anatomy.

quirrell is so pathetically suggestible that - from that point onwards - he can't get off unless the dark lord is talking dirty to him. but can you imagine how cringe trying to speak sexily to quirrell must be? (hey baby, what are you wearing? a turban which smells of garlic?)

voldemort simply pretends not to have heard when quirrell brings this up. unfortunately, all this does is make quirrell want to talk about his feelings.

lord voldemort is not sorry when harry kills him.

flopping. lord voldemort hates wormtail, because he betrayed a man to whom he would give his affections: james potter.

[seriously, he is a simp for james. there is no other explanation for why he insists that james fought him bravely when he turned up on halloween when we canonically know that what james actually did was run into the hall without his wand and then fall over.]

but don't worry. wormtail is getting some god-tier hate sex out of snape.

i'm going to answer this lightly, on the assumption that this triad is consensual.

tom sr. is getting thrown out of the bedroom within seconds. they're lesbians.

Ostara

Ostara lines up with the Spring Equinox, this year falling on March 19th.

Being the last festival in the dark half of the Wheel of the Year, the spring equinox represents revival, rebirth, and resurrection. A common theme here is fertility, with the earth being fertile for life to spring from the ground. This is continued through us and our magick as well.

A common practice is spring cleaning. Creating a physical space that reflects our mental state. If our space is cluttered, then typically, our minds are too. But don't declutter just because it's a common practice or because it's Ostara, declutter to allow space for spiritual growth.

During Ostara we are coming out of our dormant stages of winter, it's important to revisit any goals created during Imbolc and follow through with them. Identify the habits you've started and see how they align with your goals. Do you need to motify any of them? Create or erase them?

Many gods and goddesses are worshipped during this time, coming out of winter to rejuvenate the earth, such as: Eostre, Pan, Triple Goddess, and Persephone (Kore). Some other associations with the Ostara are the hare, toad, cat, owl, fox, daffodil, borage, bluebell, wild garlic, jasper, serpentine, citrine, and lapis lazuli.

This year, unfortunately, I'm busy with work, so my Ostara activities will take some days.
