The Vally of the lost
This is basically my idea for a massive crossover of a lot of @toaverse au’s
Many of the casitas in different universes are interconnected and have ways of sharing memories
In most universes the madrigals are a good and loving family
Unfortunately in others some members are cruel and abusive
So some of the casitas who are forced to watch their favorite Madrigals suffer because of an entitled village and so called family members plan prepare and bide their time
This all comes to a head when one of the casitas collapses
It rebuilds itself in a world where non of the madrigals survived the raid and the Encanto does not exist taking its favored madrigals with it
The other casitas then abandon their worlds merging with the first casita and taking their madrigals with them as well
It’s pure chaos and confusion as everyone tries to figure out what happened
In the shitty Pepa au most of the family lost their gifts cause casita took them and then gave them to the family members that deserved it
The other casitas like that idea and copy it
They eventually calm down and start talking about their respective worlds and what it was like
Basically like a giant bonding/group therapy session
They all have some trouble at the beginning with expecting people to act like their counterparts but they work through it
Found family but it’s better versions of your actual family
The village gets started when yellow butterflies start leading refugees of la violencia to the vally

How about a Papa Bruno AU where Dolores is his daughter instead of Mirabel? With Dolores gift they could easily be the cursed side of the family that the towns people hate
Anon, are you trying to get me to cry?? :(
The townspeople obviously didn’t like Bruno to say the least, that much was obvious.
Well, everyone except Ozma, kinda.
When Bruno told her her fish would die, she decided to do something about it, and put her fish in a bigger bowl so the animal could actually swim in it. As a result, it subverted the vision!
Ozma was quite happy, and told Bruno about, wanting to throw it in his face that he was wrong for once or something. But Bruno was quite stunned, but happy for her!
Ozma didn’t expect such a positive reaction from the guy, especially given what she heard from the other townspeople about him, but oh well.
Over time, the two grew closer, and unexpectedly fell in love.
No one, the townspeople or the family, saw that coming, but they were happy for him, even the ones that didn’t like Bruno that much.
Ozma and Bruno eventually married, and it wasn’t long before the former was expecting.
While they (and everyone else) were happy, Alma said that she hoped the child wouldn’t be given a “curse” like Bruno.
But he and Ozma ignored her, and focused all their attention on the baby. Though they sometimes worried about it…
But one day, on August 31, their baby was born, a girl who they named Dolores.
The whole family was happy.
Though the new parents still had that worry of her gift inside their heads. They didn’t want her being treated like a burden or curse, and maybe possibly leave because of it. But they would always reassure their daughter that she would always be special to them, gift or no gift.
If anything, Bruno hoped that his daughter would get no gift, instead of getting a curse like him…
Despite that, those first 5 years were the best of the green family’s lives, until Dolores’ ceremony arrived…
That night, the girl walked to her door, touched the candle, and touched the doorknob…
Then, the 5 year old girl could hear whispers, too many whispers and voices for her to process…
She bursted into tears, covering her hurting ears…
Bruno and Ozma immediately swept in, and tried to calm Dolores down while telling everyone to shut up.
It was a disaster…
From that day on, people started treating Dolores just like her father….
She’s seen as “the second curse of the family”, the one who could easily be overwhelmed…
Lolo got bullied a lot by her peers. They’d scream at her just to overwhelm and to try and deafen her, intentionally gossiping about her knowing she could hear them, etc…
The family wasn’t any better…
Alma would avoid the girl, looking at her as if she’s a pest, or walking away from Dolores when she approached her, or straight up ignoring her…
Pepa would get snappy at her niece, telling her the family couldn’t talk about anything private or personal anymore because of her. The weather woman didn’t care if her niece got overwhelmed by her thunder or storms because of this. Who’s that girl to stop them from making noice?
And the rest of the family (aside from Bruno, Ozma and Mirabel) would kinda just say a few words to her before doing their own thing, not bothering standing up for her…
And it didn’t help that Dolores couldn’t keep secrets, or spill things she heard in town…
Even worse, Alma and Pepa would blame her…
“You’re lying.”
“Stop trying to stir up drama, Dolores!”
“María and Manuel’s marriage is ruined because of you.”
And don’t even get started on the townspeople…
“Look! There’s curse number two again!”
“You like hearing people “having fun”, don’t you?!”
“Stop overhearing us, freak!”
And much more…
While Julieta’s and Pepa’s families were known as “the blue family” and “the yellow family”, Bruno’s was known as “the cursed family”…
Dolores’ (and Bruno’s) treatment continued for 11 years…
And in those 11 years, Bruno and Ozma stood up for their daughter. They called out the family for their behavior, but Alma always dismissed that. They comforted Dolores whenever someone insulted her or was mean to her for no reason, but it would always continue…
Yes, she heard Alma and Bruno’s conversation after Mira’s ceremony, and heard her papá destroy the vision. Dolores swore to herself to not tell anyone about it to keep her father out of trouble…
It all came to ahead when Dolores was 14, when she was really struggling to keep the major secret to herself. But it was then that Alma said something Dolores wouldn’t forget…
“You’re only hurting this family with your lies, Dolores.”
That sentence broke the girl…
It was then that she decided to leave. Everyone would be happier if she wouldn’t be around anyways…
Besides, that way, she wouldn’t risk spilling her papá secret…
That night, Dolores packed her stuff, and left Casita, heading to the jungle…

I'm not sure if you know much about Steven Universe but...Diamond au?
Alma is basically white diamond (The supreme Diamond basically), or should I say, Magenta diamond?
Pepa is obviously yellow diamond, Julieta is blue diamond, and Bruno is green diamond.
The grandkids are kind of...young diamonds? (I know in the show it's canon that Diamonds and crystal gems don't age but I'm switching things around for fun.)
So, young Diamonds are typically minded from underground places and it's extremely rare to find one and even rarer to find six.
(So, in the ground they're technically like babies in stone. There's no certain way of knowing when a Diamond will be born so you kinda just have to...wait.)
Isabela was born first, then Dolores. 2000 years later, Luisa was born. 4000 years later, came Camilo and then Mirabel. 10,000 years later, came Antonio.
Like in your Giant siren au, the diamond madrigal adults & teens are huge with Antonio being the smallest. But he's just as tall as the average adult.
Roles -
Magenta (Alma) is the leader and in charge of establishing Gemkind's identity. Yellow, Green, and Blue, holding second-tier status, oversee Home world's military and culture respectively. The grandkids are charge of throwing celebrations for the achievements of the other Diamonds.
In this au the adults aren't addressed as mama/Tia/Tio/Abuela they are just addressed as their colors. Same for the grandchildren-
Isabela = Violet
Dolores = Red
Luisa = Purple
Camilo = Gold
Mirabel = Teal
Antonio = Bronze, cider, Mikado, or apricot (I'm not sure which one to choose from.)
The husbands in this Au are pearls. And yes, they still love their big wives.
Pedro = Sandstone (color) pearl
Agustin = Oxford blue pearl
Felix = Honey Pearl
Are the grand-diamonds spoiled? Yes, they were cute as diamond-lings so how could the older diamonds not spoil them? Are the grand-diamonds still sweet? Also, yes.
That's all I've got for now.
I think the way the “children" are determined by like?? Which couple digs up the lil Diamond. Dunno 🤓
Pedro might be cracked???
Gave them actual diamond cuts 🤭 if you have more go ahead and hand it over (even tho I know nothing abt su)
Tumblr media
ALSO!!! I LOVE WHEN THE MADRIGALS ARE BIG AND ARE BIG OB SMALLER MADRIGALS❗❗❗🤓 My favs, one of my favorite aspects about Giant Siren <33

I came this close to giving up on José and just drawing his Green Bat persona. In the end I gave him a flute because I thought it would be cool if he had a super ability involving music.
Panchito is slightly Zorro inspired and I totally stole his neck thingie/cloth from @ch3shire-rabbit's Dolor! AU

hey And, how is Dolores checking Bruno's Room in the papa Bruno au going?
Not well.
~~~~~~
“Our house is falling apart, Dolores. I could not care less about the fact that one of you might need to switch your wardrobe to green right now.”
Dolores turned expectantly to Luisa.
Her other cousin shrugged. “Honestly, you guys are being so dramatic about this. Can’t you let this go? It’s been ages.”
“Need I remind you that you were equally, if not more, dramatic than we were literally a few hours ago?” Dolores questioned.
“Look, we’re kinda saving a miracle here, prima.” Luisa huffed. “We don’t really have time to help you find your stupid birth certificate. Some of us have bigger problems. Why would either of us know where that is anyways?”
“Is it not with Abuela?” Mirabel piped up.
“What?” Dolores snapped.
“Abuela keeps all our documentation. The little locked cabinet, bottom left drawer - it is not particularly organised—”
“You’ve seen it? Our birth certificates? What did they say?”
“I saw my birth certificate,” Mirabel corrected, uncomfortable under Dolores’ gaze. “But, if I had to guess, that is where the rest of them would be. You remember when Camilo started claiming I was adopted eight years ago and that you would send me back for not getting a gift? Mama got my birth certificate out to prove I definitely wasn’t going anywhere.”
“What a bitch. I hope I hit him for that.” Luisa muttered.
“You broke his arm twice, actually.” Dolores retorted.
Luisa nodded. “Ah, good, good.”
Rolling her eyes, Dolores headed for the door.
~~~~~~
Isabela and Dolores caught each other in the hallway. They stared for a moment in silence.
“Did you find anything?”
“How did things go with the Guzmàns?”
“Well,” the older answered. “Abuela is rearranging a more private affair to prevent someone from ruining it again. I brought some empanadas, his nose is fixed and he forgives me; it’s not my fault the magic is acting up.”
Dolores removed her hand from the nursery handle, approaching Isabela as they walked downstairs together.
“Did you find anything or?”
“Oh. No. I didn’t find anything of use. Apparently Abuela keeps all of our birth certificates locked away in some cabinet.”
“Did you check there?”
“I only just learnt the information. And if Abuela is going to be giving anyone the key, it certainly won’t be me.”
Isabela stopped Dolores from walking.
“You want me to ask her?”
“You are her favourite.”
“And say what? It’ll be suspicious. I’m not getting involved.”
“You are already involved, Isabela. All of the adults know we are trying to work it out. Abuela probably does too.”
“I’m not getting involved.” Isabela insisted, stiffly. “Abuela would tell me if there was something I had to know.”
Her cousin pulled away after that, heading off to inform her parents about her news.
Dolores thought for a moment.
There is no point in trying herself. There is really nobody else Abuela would even consider giving the key to.
But fortunately there can be another Isabela.

Ok I know you’re really into the owl house right now but I was listening to my nostalgia playlist and I wanted your opinion on a thought I had.
Which MLP character(s) would be the Encanto cast’s’ favorites?
See I was listening to What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me and I noticed some similarities between the Mane 6 and the Madrigal Grandkids. So like in a True True Friend Dolores would be Twilight, Antonio is Fluttershy, Camilo is Pinkie Pie, Luisa is Apple Jack, Mirabel is Rarity, and Isabela is Rainbow Dash so instead of weather it’s plant life.
Which also got me thinking who is everyone’s favorite pony? For Example Pepa loves Rainbow Dash. While Julieta likes Celestia. Dolores would be into Cadence and Twilight maybe. Antonio can relate to Fluttershy and Camilo would find Pinkie Pie funny and relatable. Mirabe would probably enjoy Twilight’s journey but love Rarity’s sense of style. Luisa sees a lot of herself in the Apple family especially Apple Jack and Big Mac. Then Bruno would adore Luna. Not sure about Isabela’s favorite.
What do you think?
(I'm still into Encanto, I'm just secretive about it)
I actually talked about this on my Instagram stories a WHILE back. I definitely agree Mirabel would enjoy Twilight's journey. Weirdly enough though I think her favorite would be Pinkie Pie? (Her main motivation is trying to help and spread joy to others)
Ofc Antonio's favorite is Fluttershy and Luisa's is Applejack (she might also like Fluttershy, but she mainly relates to Applejack's tendency to overwork herself)
I actually think Isabela's favorite would be Twilight because she relates to her need to be perfect. She might also like Rarity for similar reasons, especially after the Punk Rarity scene
Dolores's favorite is DEFINITELY Cadence. They're both so lovecore. And Dolores would project her and Mariano onto Candence and Shining Armor
Camilo thinks Pinkie Pie is funny and Rainbow Dash is cool (she has weather powers like his mami) but he says Chrysalis is his favorite because she's a shape-shifter. And to annoy Dolores.
As obvious as a choice it is, yes Bruno's favorite favorite pony is Luna, and he relates a lot to her as well. Of the mane six, his favorite would be Fluttershy because he likes how she's the only one who gave Discord a chance.
I've brainstormed an Encanto MLP Au before too. The Triplets are all different types of ponies. Julieta is an Earth Pony, Pepa is a Pegasus, and Bruno is a Unicorn. Bruno also has green magic like all villains in the MLP universe, which adds on to everyone being scared of him.
I also imagine Mirabel is the only one in her family who never got a Cutie Mark (until after the events of the movie?). This image is basically her and Bruno:

Modern Celebrity AU Headcanons
Because I'm writing a thing for it and it's on my mind.
The triplets' matching tattoos were Julieta's idea; they got them when Bruno moved back to New York after the accident.
Casita is exactly like Casita, maybe a little bigger, and is located between Malibu and Santa Monica. Pedro and Alma built it not long after their wedding, and Alma is convinced it's alive and/or haunted by Pedro. It was damaged slightly in the Northridge Quake not long after Los Trillozos broke up.
They don't have their gifts but they KINDA do? Like, following Julieta's recipes is guaranteed comfort food, the weather tends to reflect Pepa's moods, Bruno gets deja vu a lot (and may or may not have prophetic dreams), Isabela has a green thumb, Dolores has perfect pitch and echoic memory, Luisa's as big and buff as canon and a natural athlete, Camilo...see below, and Antonio bonds easily with animals. Oh, and Mirabel is fashion.
Camilo's a VERY good actor; their big breakthrough role was a Tatiana Maslany/Orphan Black-style one actor with lots of roles situation and they killed it. They can morph their voice and mannerisms in uncanny ways, almost like a shapesifter!
Bruno has a tricky relationship with his elder nieces because he was at his worst while they were growing up, and eventually they were old enough to figure out why he did what he did. When he came home after the accident it took a while for them to trust him, but things do get better.
Meanwhile Camilo and Mirabel and later Antonio took to him right away, and their acceptance helped him a lot in his recovery.
Felix was a session musician who worked with Pepa on her first solo album, "[insert storm-related title here]", and fell in love with her. They had a whirlwind (lol) romance culminating in a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. Some jackass whose name rhymes with Schmuno went on a bender and missed his flight. The delayed ceremony took place as a hurricane came ashore.
Agustin is a lawyer. IDK how h and Juli met but they eloped. It was amazing.
Luisa is a Olympian (living the dream!). Do no ask me her sport I go back and forth. Probably some kind of track and field.
Bruno is on record stating that, if a movie is made about his life, Lin-Manuel Miranda is not allowed to play him.
Asks open, feel free to request elaboration or ask about other aspects of this 'verse.

Hair and brain
Coily hair took a lot of effort to bruch And siblings are siblings notherless
Cracked au
"Oh, mama! Did you know that Tío Abuelo once burned down the kitchen to make Tía a wedding cake?" Beatriz babled happily, dangling her legs as Dolores kept combing her dark coily hair.
She had to admit that her youngest was always pretty fond of history. Either from listening to her older siblings or cousins of varying degrees of kinship doing their homework or just asking for some stories from her mother's past, Time traveling was probably a pretty fit gift for her. At least now, Beatriz won't ask for twenty stories per day.
Braiding curly hair is such a terrible thing to do. Dolores can only hope that both of her daughters will soon be old enough to do it themselves. Dolores had enough troubles with doing her pineapple already. Well, at least Gael was old enough not to need any assistance in this matter.
"He set his own sleeve on fire!" The young girl announced it with all her excitement, and Dolore winced from screaming. "Sorry, mami," Beatriz mumbled quickly, realizing that she said it too loudly.
The woman sighed, patting her daughter's head. "Don't worry, mija, it's okay." She whispered, separating Beatriz's thick hair into wisps. Well, Dolores couldn't say she didn't expect this from her Tío Agústin. It would actually be way more surprising if he didn't end up hurting himself that day. Or any other.
Beatriz continued to tell what was going on. "I tried to call Bisabuela, but because they couldn't see me, it turned into a blaze." The woman had to admit that it was great information. Everyone knew that her mama caused a hurricane on her wedding day. It's good to know that Tía also had something messy that many years ago. "And Abuelo... —Ouch!" The girl let out a short cry as the comb clambed up onto the knot in her hair.
"Lo siento, are you okay?" Dolores muttered worriedly, throwing a quick look at the clock on the wall. Oh, well, it's usually the time when Gabriela wakes up...
She closed her eyes, focusing on footsteps that were getting closer at a trotting pace.. Well... Three... two... one...
"Mama, it's my turn!" Her middle child demanded, breaking through the door, making Casita click it dalles resentfully.
Beatriz almost jumped off the chair. "No, mama is combing my hair now!" She exclaimed, crossing her arms confidently as her hermana ran down the stairs to get closer to them.
Gabriela threw her hair into the air. "No, you've promised to start doing my hair firstly today!"
Dolores sighed. "Gabi, you have to wake up earlier for that," Beatriz giggled, showing her tongue. "Bea, no," Dolores demanded, making both of her daughters go quiet. Gabi was a big sleeper, barely managing to wake up by school time most of the days. Not like Dolores could actually blame her, being an early bird was inherited from Tía Julieta's side of the family, not theirs.
A moment later, Gabriela stared at her mother, green eyes sparkling with pleading. "Mami, please!" A moment later, she added. "I'm the best student in my class!" Honestly, she was probably the best in the whole school.
Beatriz scoffed. "You're just good at remembering." Dolores couldn't say it wasn't true; Gabri's gift has definitely helped her in educational order. But that's just how their lives were. No one could blame Gabriela for her ability to memorize everything she once heard.
Dolores sighed and stared at both of them strictly. "Girls, if you won't close your mouths, I won't bable either of you. You'd just have to stay disheveled." This threat was enough for them both to stop, now turning their attention to her.
Gabriela crossed her arms, looking like she was a teacher getting ready to scold her student. "No, mama, how many times did you say that if I don't do this, then my hair will have a lot of knots?" She looked down, counting on her fingers. "More than forty-nine in the last two months!"
Oh, yes, having a child who can remember every word you'd ever said to the smallest detail feels so bizarre. Especially when this child had such a fair conceit of herself even before getting her gift. Dolores chuckled, patting Gabriela's shoulder. "Ah, sí. You're such a clever little girl."
Gabi nodded confidently. "Of course I am!" Her face brightened with a huge smile.
"But I'm still smarter!" Beatriz interrupted her, displeased with losing her fair share of attention.
"You're not!"
The younger girl scoffed, shrugging a little. "You can remember only what you've heard! I can know anything that ever happened!" Dolores tried to pit her palm forward, hoping that this would stop both girls, but they ignored her, keeping up with their usual argument.
Gabriela rolled her eyes, chuckling a little. "But it takes too much time." Their mom couldn't help but think about the times when she and Camilo argued about which gift would make it easier to cheat on exams. Okay... arguing about who's actually smarter was probably way better than bragging that you could break the rules. Oh, what a good time it was, back when things were so easy.
Dolores sighed, shaking her head with a slight snigger. Yes, those two are definitely siblings.

La madre silenciosa au
How many kids does Dolores have in total? I know as of right now she has five; Camilo, Mirabel, Antonio, and the two siblings she and Mariano adopted.
Oh, and do Cami, Mira, and Tonito see the younger two as siblings or sabrinos and sabrinas?
She currently has 35!!
1- 17 year old, 4- 15 year olds (including Camilo and mirabel), 2- 13 year olds, 2- 11 year old, 5- 10 year olds, 5- 8 year olds (a set of triplets included), 2- 7 year olds (including the green girl Dolores and mariano newly adopted) 8- five year olds (including Antonio, Alejandra, Cecilia and Juancho) 3- toddles and 3 infants! (Including a set of twins and the green boy from the two siblings)
Well Camilo and mirabel see them as younger siblings while Antonio sees the girl as older sibling and the boy as an younger brother!
I didn’t design the other characters yet, neither did I even have anything for them but I would love it if any of you all would want to help with it!! Like as creating any of the children with your own ideas and own designs, backstory etc. :D

Madrigal Kids (minus Antonio because I JUST COULDN'T GET HIM TO LOOK RIGHT)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Originally tried putting them in their film clothes, but eventually decided to screw it and do a modern AU
Annoyed with myself for not being able to find the right body type for Lusia
There was no option for green glasses so I had to give Mirabel gold ones
There were also no options that looked right for Dolores' hair so I put it down
Other than those nitpicks I LOVE THEM

Mama Mirabel AU but everyone just raise Antonio!!
Pepa and Felix just had Antonio and there very tired, pepa more so.
It’s now a game of hot potatoes with the new baby!
Julieta and Agustin are the first people to help take care of Antonio. Julieta like it because it gives her a reason to leave the kitchen, it’s been 10 years since she held a baby and it’s so nice. She gets to sleep and play with the baby and when her anxiety get the better of her about not healing the town, not cooking, baby Antonio just babble to her
Dolores and Isabela are the second
So on down the family chain
Everyone in the house has so many damn issues that they think “man this baby can fix my/our problems”
Isabela take care of Antonio because he’s a baby and he the first person in a while that smiles without any hidden motive and he see her as a person, not as perfect or as the next heir to the family
Dolores takes care of Antonio (and Mirabel) because we’ll, everyone is busy and Dolores at first took care of Mirabel since the rest was busy then when Antonio was born she and Mirabel took care of him “together” (it’s just Dolores but she let Mirabel help)
Luisa raises Antonio and it nice because that means she didn’t have to work, didn’t have to lift any donkeys or stress or have to carry so many rock that she sometimes things she die because they can crush her on day. Being with Antonio is calm and quiet, she can act silly and childish
Camil takes care of Antonio because it’s his job, his only 10 yet he learning how to be the town’s babysitter and what better way to practice is to take care of his brother? When Camilo has to watch the other children, Antonio is there next to him, fallowing him like a little duck.
Mirabel is just like the mama Mirabel au
Alma also help raise Antonio, it’s been a long time since she held a baby and a part of her wonder why pepa is too tired to watch her son? (She don’t think about how much she pushing her children to be better, to be strong. She doesn’t think how much it hurts to hold onto something that is so fragile and is independent on her, when was the last time she hug her family? Held them close as she comforts them?)
Felix and pepa obviously take care of their son, it just what it’s a 50/50, (ok it’s just Felix more of the time but it’s alright). The yellow parents love their son and it make them happy how much he’s grown
Bruno is the last to help raise Antonio, mostly at night. He come out of the walls and into the nursery and just watches the baby. Telling him stories and all about the cracks. He hold Antonio and the two walk around the house or something if the weather is good, outside
When Antonio is a toddler and started talking it’s a man house we’re everyone is trying to get Antonio to say his first words to them. It only after Antonio says his first words that the family realized that hey! We are all basically raising Antonio individuality! Hmmmm weird
Antonio calls every mom and dad. Or for the kids sisters and (brother for Camilo).
Bruno comes out of the walls because Antonio keeps asking for the “green ghost” and when ask he just tells the family about a man in green who visits him at night. The family is obviously, freaking the hell out about that. It’s only when Dolores finally spills the bean that Bruno comes out, and before anyone can do anything Antonio launches himself at Bruno and hug him and calls him “ghost dad!”
Family then comes together and have a big family talk and the cracks get fix and it’s all good and happy. And when Antonio gets his gift the family all yell and scream and excited, since the family is not king being perfect or working themselves to death they just act normal or as normal a magical family can be.

Since you said Mariano was still engaged to Isabela in the Green Dolores au, I can't help but wonder how that looked from an outside perspective, like Mariano sometimes being caught coming out the jungle, and then just one day just straight up disappearing. And just imagining Alma and/or Isa finding out the man she picked for her to marry ended up running away to be with the "cursed" grandchild and had kids with her, is just hilarious to the petty part of me 😂 Like, oopsie, the "perfect" man you picked out for your "perfect" grandchild actually didn't want her at all and instead ran away to be with the "cursed" grandchild you put down, outcasted, and were glad was gone, guess that plans down the drain 😂
Exactly!
Some townspeople noticed Mariano near the jungle sometimes, and often wondered what he had done or why he was near that area.
But one day, the lad just disappeared.
Alma and Isa (and Pepa for good measure) were quite confused where Mariano had gone. They didn’t see him anymore in town.
Señora Guzmán also wondered where her nieto was, but then she disappeared as well. What was going on?
Isa and Alma freaked out. No! Where did Mariano go? Was the engagement over?
Isa secretly hoped for the last question to be a yes…
But Alma insisted on the engagement and future marriage. And decided that, if Mariano showed up in town again, he and Isa were to be immediately wedded.
It took 5 years for him to show up again, but not alone…
He apparently had a woman and two children. But that woman wasn’t just anybody, it was Dolores…
Alma and Pepa were furious…
“You puta!” Pepa yelled, thundering all over the place, enraged at her favorite niece’s engagement being ruined. “You did this on purpose, didn’t you?!”
Alma however, kept her word.
“Since you two aren’t officially married, Mariano is going to marry Isabela.” Alma said sternly, as if her word was law,, glaring at Dolores. “You and your bastards can go.”
Seeing the love of his life get upset at those words, Mariano wanted to tell that old woman off, but he could do that later, as something happened.
The townspeople protested against the matriarch…
“No!”
“Let him marry the jungle lady!”
“They have children! Let them be wed!”
Mira and Antonio agreed as well.
Even the animals supported this! Of course they would!
Wether Alma caved in or went through with Isa’s marriage was the question…
Unfortunately, Bruno and Ozma were still in the walls, so they didn’t see their daughter or their son-in-law or nietos…

Beach town au
Ceremonies are a celebration, but the actual BIRTHDAY is deemed much more important. Gifts are a constant, but birthdays are special. They exist to celebrate that you actually made it this long.
Mirabel does get a gift in this au but I’m not sure what yet. I just know it’s something that has to do with creation.
Shells are used as currency, but some shells are left on the beach in case some sea creature needs it. As well as that, when baby turtles are hatching from the sand the villagers make sure to protect the lil dudes until they get to the water. It’s a tradition Pedro and his wifey started and everybody just hopped on board.
Dolores’ gift is something she can turn on and off at will. I saw someone have this theory and I stick with it. There’s no way in god's green earth Casita would give a gift of super hearing without giving her a choice in whether she can turn it on or off.
Now, Julieta’s food is truly loved but her shaved ice and paletas (Ice pops) are a must have. Especially during the summer. She doesn’t use her gift all that much unless it’s an emergency.  So, she has no problem setting up a cart to give out summer treats and such. (But her family always get first dibs)
Mariano and Dolores are getting married soon! It’ll be a beach wedding of course. The dress won’t be too big, seeing as it’s a little toasty in Encanto (I mean, people can do it but it’s going to be a hot wedding day if they do). Traditional wedding dresses in Encanto are sheer and short or with a long mermaid tail look but thin.
Oh yeah, Isabela is a certified surfer (all the madrigals are) but she likes doing it more often.
LETS GOOOOOOO
Shells as currency is so cool. <33 I mean, it’s an island, currency being shells isn’t obviously an issue 😭 ALSO THE BABY TURTLES I’M CRYING 🦈🦈🦈 everybody hoping on board is so silly.
Love this au sm <3333 I like how the birthdays are way more important than the gift <333 like it’s not a ceremony, it’s a birthday celebration. I imagine the gifts are just viewed as some present by the candle/Casita. W Casita for letting Dolores’ gifts being a choice 🙏
I think?? They would still wear white/gold on their birthday, but they do that so that whoever’s birthday it is can stand out. Not that it’s hard to tell. Their birthday parties are always beach parties; I think Pedro and Alma gift them their first surfboard on their 5th birthday, cause they see them as old enough to start learning how to surf lmao
Tumblr media
W Isabela and Julieta. Isabela has way too much fun in Isabela when she’s surfing. I also think she’s one of the main ones to help Antonio’s learn how (besides Mirabel), and I think she also insisted on teach Mirabel and Camilo when they were little.

Sunlight on the Windowsill
For @themiserablesmonth Day 13: Sun.
E/R, modern AU. POV Outsider. CW: Implied/referenced alcoholism.
Read on AO3.
The name that the shelter gave the cat was Dolores, which was certainly not the name she would’ve chosen for herself, but after a few months living on the streets, she would have let them call her just about anything in exchange for a warm place to sleep and as much food as she could eat.
When she was taken to her new home, her human tried a variety of different names on her, but none of them stuck, and he was forced to admit that she was just a Dolores. She liked her human, and his cluttered, untidy apartment. She liked that he hummed to himself as he got her breakfast ready in the morning, and that he always sought her out when he came back home. She liked that he always kissed the top of her head before going to bed at night, even if the kiss smelled strongly of the brown liquid he drank far too much of.
But what she liked most of all was the wide windowsill that overlooked the street below. Mainly because every afternoon, when the sun started its downward descent, it bathed the windowsill in warm yellow light.
Which made it the perfect spot for napping, and watching the world go by below, and watching her human as he got up to things he tended to get up to in the afternoon, which mostly involved smearing various colors on a flat surface she wasn’t allowed to touch (she’d learned that lesson the hard way).
All in all, she was fond of her human and her life, which was about all that a cat could hope for.
At least until one day.
When the man in red showed up.
The man in red had a name, just like her human had a name, but just as her human could no more figure out a better name for her than Dolores, she could think of no better name for the man in red than just that.
She didn’t like the man in red.
For starters, he failed to give her the proper due she was owed as the cat of the household. “Oh,” he said, when he had first seen her. “I didn’t know you had a cat.”
He didn’t offer her a hand to sniff, or even a gentle pat on the head before making himself right at home on the couch.
She had shown her disdain by sulking in her patch of sunlight and glaring at him through slitted green eyes.
“I don’t think your cat likes me,” the man in red said to her human, sometime later that afternoon.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” her human scoffed.
The man in red shot her a somewhat narrow-eyed look of his own. “Didn’t you say she likes everyone?” he asked, somewhat doubtfully. “Even Bossuet, who has horrible luck with animals?”
She perked up slightly at the name, because she did in fact like the bald man. He, of course, offered her the proper deference, not to mention little bits of food whenever he came over, which placed him in far higher esteem than the man in red.
Her human glanced at her thoughtfully. “Maybe she just knows him better,” he suggested, giving the man in red a playful sort of smile. “Which just means you need to start spending more time here to win her over.”
She strongly disagreed with that plan, but her human, it seemed, had other ideas.
Of course, no one could ever accuse him of having good taste.
The man in red became a near permanent fixture in the apartment, and with him, a litany of issues that disrupted her daily routine.
First, he moved the couch in front of her windowsill, effectively blocking her access. Luckily, the back of the couch made a decent enough sleeping perch as a substitute, and had the added benefit of putting her within claw’s swipe of the man in red whenever he got too comfortable.
Then, the red hoodie that had earned his name suddenly started getting tossed on the back of the couch, right where she wanted to sleep. She also turned that into a positive by turning the hoodie into a blanket, even if it meant having to breath in his scent (her human seemed to enjoy it. Her, not so much).
Next came an ultimatum she could not believe her human would acquiesce to, exiling her from her rightful place sleeping on her human’s bed. “I’m sorry,” her human whispered to her that first night as he picked her up to set her outside of his door. “He just wants some privacy, I think. I’m sure you’ll be back in before you know it.”
He may have been sure, but the man in red had some kind of hold over him, and she found her exile becoming far too permanent.
She didn’t speak to her human for a week after that, and made her feelings known by delicately depositing a hairball directly on top of his favorite green hoodie.
All of that may have been forgivable, given enough time, but then, the most egregious of all – the man in red got curtains.
At first, she watched the flurry of activity with mild curiosity, but when they moved the couch back into place, she realized to her horror that her patch of sun was gone. “See?” the man in red said, tugging her human down onto the couch with him. “It’s so much cooler in here with the curtains, right?”
“It definitely is,” her human agreed, and it took all her self-control not to yowl her displeasure.
Still, Bast helps those who help themselves, and there’s a reason cats have claws.
“Your cat destroyed the curtains,” the man in red said incredulously the next day, as she lay in her usual spot in the tiny bits of sunshine that managed to filter through the shredded curtains.
Her human huffed a sigh. “Why is it always ‘your cat’?” he asked. “She has a name, you know.”
“A stupid name,” the man in red muttered, examining the curtains more closely.
“You’re welcome to try renaming her,” her human said, petting her under her chin, “but in that case she’s welcome to pee in your shoes.”
She purred in agreement, though he really shouldn’t give her ideas like that.
Still, the shredding of the curtains engendered a tentative truce. During the day, she still spent most of her time with her human, and at night when the man in red came over, she gave them both a wide berth.
After awhile, though, the berth she gave them grew wider, as it seemed they couldn’t go one night without shouting at each other. The shouting always got worse whenever her human drank a lot – she tended to spend a lot of those nights cowered under the bed.
Sometimes, on those nights, the man in red would leave without spending the night. While she was always happy to reclaim her rightful spot on the bed, she couldn’t help but notice that those nights, her human didn’t sleep well, if at all.
And a lot of those nights he spent crying.
One day, a great many humans came over, but not, seemingly, for anything fun, or for a celebration. She stayed hidden for most of it, but even from her spot under the bed, she could hear raised voices, and shouting, and then some crying, and then—
Well, not quite silence, but far closer to it than before. In fact, the only thing she could hear was the very soft sound of someone crying, but a different someone. Not her human.
She tentatively stuck her head out of the bedroom to see the man in red sitting on the couch, his head in his hands. He looked up as she padded toward him. “Oh, God, I forgot about the cat,” he said to no one in particular, hastily wiping his cheeks before reaching down as if to grab her.
She was too quick for him, though, dodging his hands to sit just out of reach, wrapping her tail around her paws as she stared up at him, wondering why he was here and her human was not.
He sighed and slid off of the couch to sit on the floor, drawing his knees up to his chin. “Look,” he started, his voice sad and strained, “I know you and I haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye, but—” He broke off, huffing a sigh. “Jesus, I can’t believe I’m actually talking to a cat.” He scrubbed a hand across his face before looking back at her. “Grantaire’s going to be gone for awhile, ok? He’s…well, he’s going away for a bit to get some help. So I know you didn’t exactly choose me, and I certainly didn’t choose you, but we’re stuck together for the time being, alright? Which means for his sake, we need to try to get along.”
He looked at her almost as if expected her to say something, which she obviously didn’t. After a moment, he sat back up on the couch, and she returned to hiding under the bed, emerging only when he got out wet food for her dinner.
Obviously her human hadn’t told him she only got wet food in the mornings. Not that she was complaining.
That night, he went to bed early, pausing in the doorway of the bedroom to glance back at where she lay on top of the couch. “Goodnight,” he said, closing the door after himself.
Not even five minutes later, the door opened again, just a crack. “Just in case,” he told her before retreating to the bed.
She didn’t immediately follow him in, preferring to wander in on her own time. But eventually, she snuck into the bedroom, jumping up onto the side of the bed normally occupied by her human, breathing in his scent.
Evidently, the man in red had the same idea, as he slept with her human’s pillow clutched in his arms.
She curled up next to him and closed her eyes, telling herself that her human would be back the next day.
But he wasn’t. The man in red hurriedly fed in the morning before telling her he was going to work, and then she was alone. The day seemed almost unbearably long without her human for company, so much so that when the man in red let himself in that evening, she didn’t even bother hiding like she normally would, instead sitting and meowing a greeting.
“That’s new,” he said, more to himself than to her. “I’ll bet you miss Grantaire, right?” He sighed, reaching down to gently pet her between her ears. “So do I.”
That night, he didn’t even bother pretending to close the door to the bedroom, and she waited even less time before following him inside.
They fell into their own kind of pattern, slowly getting used to each other in a way they hadn’t before. He bought her fancy treats and gave her way too many of them, and she eventually greeted him at the door like she used to greet her human.
One day, he came home from work early, and she woke up, curled in her usual spot on the back of the couch. She yawned, but before she could get up to greet him, he had already made his way over, reaching out automatically to give her a skritch under the chin. “You like that spot, don’t you,” he murmured, rubbing one ear gently between his finger and thumb. He looked carefully at the sunlight dappling her coat through the shredded curtain before saying slowly, “I’ll bet you like the sun, don’t you.”
Without warning, he crossed over to the curtain, yanking it down in one quick motion, flooding the room with sunlight. He sat down on the couch, tipping his head back to just rest against her side. “I like the sun, too,” he told her. “I think you might’ve had the right idea about the curtains in the first place.”
She responded by purring, and bending down to attempt to groom his curly blond hair.
Not too many days after that, the man in red picked her hope and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. She squirmed out of his arms, glaring quizzically up at him. “He’s coming home,” he told her simply.
Sure enough, her human walked through the door soon thereafter, and she darted through the man in red’s legs to greet him at the door. Her human beamed as he picked her up off the floor. The man in red rolled his eyes affectionately. “I’m trying not to be insulted that you said hi to the cat first,” he said, but he was grinning still.
“You got to come see me in rehab,” her human pointed out, cradling her against his chest as she purred and tried to rub her face against his. “She didn’t.”
“Fair enough,” the man in red said.
After her human set her down again, he and the man in red sat down together on the couch, silhouetted against the sunlight streaming in. She considered going to her usual spot, but decided it again, instead clambering to sprawl across both other their laps, purring contentedly.
Her human stroked her head gently, marveling at the way the sunlight dazzled in her whiskers. “Dare I ask what happened to the curtains?” he asked.
The man in red shrugged. “We decided we liked it better in here without them.”
“We?” her human repeated.
“Dolores and I.”
Her human shook his head slowly. “You two are quite the pair now, huh.”
The man in red gave her a few scratches at the base of her tail. “Well, we found out we had some things in common.”
“Like?”
“For starters, we both love curling up in the sun,” the man in red said.
Her human considered it. “Fair.”
“And for another, we both really love you,” the man in red said simply. “And at the end of the day, we decided that was all that we needed.”
Her human’s expression softened. “Well,” he said, leaning over to rest his head against the man in red’s shoulder, “took you both long enough.”

I need more of the Steven Universe AU purely to see what everyone's fusions would be like. The triplet's fusion would be so freaking awesome, any of the sibling trio fusions would be a terrifying powerhouse, I want the sibling fusions, I need to know what the fusion of Luisa and Mirabel would be like, the fusion of Mirabel and Antonio would be so adorable, and I want to find out which Isabela fusion would be the most chaotic/destructive/unhinged, heck, give us the fusions of Alma with each of her kids and grandkids, it would be a great opportunity for visual representation of how her pressure and expectations negatively impact each of them. I bet it would take people a solid minute to realize Julieta and Mirabel had fused, Mirabel is so much her mama's clone you don't notice the difference unless you're paying close attention or know them really well. Please, PLEASE give us more, I even have ideas for the rest of the Madrigals gem types. Pedro would be another Diamond, if Alma's a Diamond then it would make the most sense if Pedro was one too, he's likely been shattered. Pyrope definitely fits Dolores and Camilo is absolutely an Orange Spinel, Antonio should be Tiger's Eye. I think Lapis Lazuli is best suited for Isabela, beautiful and upper class yet extremely powerful, and Mirabel could be a defective Bismuth that doesn't have the muscle of a normal Bismuth and can't build to save her life, expressing the natural creativity of her gem type through unconventional means and making up for her lack of brawn with brain
I’m so glad you’re enjoying this AU!
Firstly, I should say that not everyone fuses. I have to vaguely follow SU’s plot, but…
The triplets (or, well, mainly Pepa and Bruno) did secretly fuse when they were first made. They frequently caused chaos and got intro trouble, partially why it then became so taboo. It was already viewed as bad, but knowing what damage could be caused to the perfect empire… it became a lot more of a serious offence.
Some of the siblings/cousins haven’t fused together, so I’d need to know who you wanted to know about specifically.
And none of the parents have fused with the children.
Luisa and Mirabel are oddly enough quite like Sardonyx as a fusion. Luisa shares a lot of traits with both Garnet and Pearl, and then combined with Mirabel, I’d be lying if they weren’t oddly close to Sardonyx. In saying that, they could also be Garnet herself - a lot of Luisa and Mirabel’s interactions are akin to Ruby and Sapphire respectively. However, they are also very anxious together, so take that as you will for their fusion.
About the Madrigals’ gems, here is the updated list:
Antonio - Tiger’s Eye (I absolutely love this idea! It fits so well)
Isabela - no idea
Dolores - Rutile
Luisa - Amethyst
Camilo - Yellow Spinel
Mirabel - Sapphire
Julieta - Blue Diamond
Pepa - Orange Diamond
Bruno - Green Diamond
Alma - Pink Diamond
Pedro - Botswana Agate
I’ll happily give information for whatever people ask for!

Hello, I'm back! With another drawing. This is Julieta Madrigal from the Walking Dead AU, an Au made by @toaverse.
The Walking Dead Au is one of my favorites Aus( Others being " Bruno Ghost Au " " Green Dolores Au " and of course " TheTwoSeers Au"), but I'm not exactly sure why. I was never very interested in the " The Walking Dead " series and never went so far as two episodes into the game made by TellTale.
So yeah, I don"t know why, I just do. I even got close to trying to write it, and then I wrote less than 1/3 of the first chapter and gave up.
I do have a little bit of understanding of where the story would go( the idea I have is a little bit different from the original Au) and I would love to explain a little here, but I'm tired, I'm spent too much time in this drawing trying different styles and all, and now I just want to post it and move on.
Still, I may talk about it in another drawing( or I'll just edit it later). Yes, I have other drawings( they're not ready though ). I actually was planning in making drawings for every Character, but even if I don't do, I still have at least two drawings I intend in finishing.
So yeah, that's it. Hope you liked it, and I see you in the next post. Bye~
