Headcanon for MHA

This a headcanon about what I think what the guys from My Hero Academia would smell like.

First off I would like to start with our (and mine) favorite senpai Shota Aizawa (Eraserhead). We all know that this man would smell of coffee but not that gross musty kind. It would be like a cafe. Now I have seen that he would have a sandalwood scent but I see him have more of a black licorice scent, with a hint of cotton.

Now on to the resident bird brain Hawk (Keigo Takami). People say he likes chicken and having a bird of pray quirk he would. So yes you would think he would smell like chicken but I think differently. I have heard she smells of cinnamon but I see it more of pine. (That was help from my kids). I see him spending his free time in the forest.

Up next is everyone's favorite burnt marshmallow Touya Todoroki (Dabi). Now I have heard so many things from cigarette smoke to campfires. Some I agree with and some I don't. To me is think it will being a campfire with cinnamon.

The feeling came as a surprise to Jaehaera, as she'd watched the dark haired beauty speak to her white knight. It wasn't one she often felt -- she was quite sure she'd never felt it -- and it made her... what did it make her feel?

It was a feeling akin to watching someone play with her favorite puzzle, when she had been patiently waiting and looking forward to solving it all day. Or, perhaps someone had used all her favorite paint, and her chest filled with the heavy feeling of... what?

...no. But that didn't feel right. Not that feeling. Because Garrick Cargyll was not a toy, or a puzzle to be solved. He was her friend -- her dear protector. The only person in this world that understood her, save for her brothers. Understood her, at times, even in ways that they could not. Her fear, and hopelessness. And Jaehaera understood his -- fingers grazing, then lost to a sea of screaming people. The birds fell, and the sea boiled. The sky burns, the hawk still flies -- but the search for his flock is foiled.

Jaehaera blinked, hard. It wasn't that feeling, either. The phoenix had risen. The princess wasn't going to lose her knight again. He was High Commander -- he was here, and so was Viserys, and Jaehaerys, and the dragons.

Was that been the feeling? Fear of loosing him again? She knew she wouldn't -- so why had him speaking to the woman made her feel...

She was determined to figure it out.

"You needn't be so sad, my lady," she said on a sigh as she found her way to the dark beauty, dreamy expression kind despite the conflict growing within her cloudy head. There was an aura about the other woman -- a sort of sorrow that clung like a sheen over her milky skin. It was almost as if Jaehaera wasn't talking at all to the dark beauty -- but the strange thing that settled around her, that wasn't actually a thing at all. "Nothing ever happens the same way twice."

But then she was speaking again -- this time, unmistakably to the dark haired woman, as if she hadn't even said anything before. "Are you friends?" She asked, her head tilting, bird-like. "I haven't had the chance to meet many of Lord Garrick's friends."

She hadn't had the chance to meet much of anybody -- between Aunt Rhaenyra imprisoning her, Daenaerys lying to her. Isolating her. Silver bird in a silver cage, pinioned wings and broken things.

Haera wanted to know -- but why did she want to know? What did it matter? Why had speaking with Garrick caused it? She could ask Jaehaerys, but... he was off speaking with his new subjects, kingly and bright and radiant. She wouldn't bother him, not on his great day -- though she longed to stay by his side, and Garrick's by her's.

"I -- oh." A deep blush ripened upon her porcelain cheeks. She'd been learning -- how to conduct herself, but when one lived in a million other worlds, the rules of this world often slipped away. "I am Princess Jaehaera. I hope you feel most welcomed here, lady...?"

She trailed off, blush furthering as she realized she hadn't even asked the other woman's name. Her fingers twitched, and for a moment, she was suddenly uneasy.

Fem February: Black Canary

Ahh, DC Comics, my forever home, it feels like, where fandom is concerned.

And specifically my beloved, the incomparable Dinah Lance aka Black Canary? WHOO HOO.

Black Canary has been through many changes, and I may have given away the answer by naming 'Dinah Lance' instead of 'Dinah Drake', as to who my favorite is. Even still, WHICH Dinah Lance is my favorite?

Justice League: Year One may have come LATE on the scene, but it codified the Justice League Origins that had been in play since Crisis had concluded. Wonder Woman had not been a founding member of the League — Black Canary was.

This Black Canary is short (5'4" was her most often given height), young (at 19 she was the youngest founder), dealing with mommy issues (seriously, Crisis's changes set Mama Canary up to be a difficult stumbling block in Baby Canary's growth), and she was the 'well the JSA did it this way' voice on the team.

This particular version did not contradict the one I'd been following even longer, the one fleshed out by Mike Grell. But ASP! HE MUTILATED HER?!

Yes. Grell stripped the Canary of her voice, put her at death's door, and then, over the course of 75 issues, showed her growing into a new kind of tough while putting her through hell at Oliver Queen's side. The reason I still prefer The Longbow Hunters concept for Dinah is that she OVERCAME GRAVE ODDS and is still committed to being the best damn vigilante she can be.

That said, I keep the pre-Crisis story of her being Roy's savior. I don't see a conflict there. I keep the Gotham-born, grew up on the West Coast implied by mixing the canons she's present in. And, most of all, these make a wonderful cocktail shaker that delivers the penultimate Black Canary:

Birds of Prey Black Canary.

All of Justice League, all of Green Arrow's solo book, even her mostly-panned solo miniseries evolve into the woman that takes Oracle's offer to fly under the radar and kick ass, take names, and make the world a little safer. I faithfully followed the original miniseries and one shots, then the first series of the book through so many artist and writer changes with absolute delight and glee. She was older, she was jaded, she held her ground, she was selfless when it mattered, she cared…

Just. Everything I needed in a woman that was at one point in time considered to be in the top ten of DCU's martial artists. (Richard Dragon, Cassandra Cain, and Shiva are all considered better than her. For a time, the jury was out on if she or Connor Hawke was the better, and Tim Drake was up in here during that era. In at least one issue, Batman says she is better than he is.)

I love, adore, and worship the woman that Dinah Lance was between Crisis and Identity Crisis, considering her my end-all, be-all favorite of that character.

(Honorable mentions to the animated TimmVerse Canary, but TimmVerse got a LOT of my faves perfectly. And the spin they took in the Birds TV show was intriguing, but there, it was Mama Canary that stole my heart with her brief appearances.)

One of My Favorite DC Superheroes

Black Canary ( Dinah Laruel Lance)

Going of Mostly NewEarth and a bit of Rebirth ya'know if I go back to golden Age/Sliver Age it'll get messy. I might use it certain panels if i know its Dinah Laruel Lance

I love this l legacy street level hero.

She is the second Canary difference between the first is she has a metahuman ability of a sonic scream.

She's came a long way. Her father was a cop and her mother was a the first Black Canary. Dinah and her mother used to argue when her mother was villiante Justice Society Of America crime fighter that didn't have time for her. But somehow became a hero oh, the irony lmao.

Green Arrow LongBow Hunters:

She went through so much while investagating a missing person mixed with a cartle. She was kidnapped and tortured.

Dinah is looking better and eager to make them pay. Though Oliver says its too late. (Don't wanna spoil to much it's good story despite a few hiccups)

When Dinah came out of the hospital, she was still emotionally traumatized by the incident. She learned that she had lost her ability to perform her Canary Cry. Along with other scars.

After this, lot's things happen after that arc relationships ended, dealing with trauma getting better along they way, healing and self-discovery. What she's been through she still never gives up and keeps moving forward.

She kept training and bettering herself :

Trained by Batgirl, Wildcat, Nightwing, Wonder Woman, Connor Hawke, Mister Terrific, Richard Dragon and Lady Shiva. Many more

She's no slouch becoming one of the best fighters DC

Birds of Prey (1999) #61, #68, #74, #95, & #100

Birds of prey: Pretty fun run. A group of crimefighters mostly females but guys have joined to. Despite their ups and downs they would come back better than ever. Loved her moments between Huntress and Oracle.

Chairwoman in 2006’s Justice League of America. Cut short, I wish they were able to tell the story heard it was scrapped or cancelled.

I'll be honest I never really liked Green Arrow & Black Canary together. Never saw them as a iconic couple. So many issues with them as a couple. I'm liked, why are they together? Is it bad I want to see them be with other people.

When I read Green arrow comics is an okay hero to me has some good runs in my opinion he's has similarities to batman, only difference more altrustic and sarcastic but is more willing to kill and has killed. Green arrow & Black canary comics I'm just more intrested in Canary or other memebers of arrow instead.

Let them be with other people. I guarntee if another new earth or something happened lots a people wouldn't care. Example, it's the same with Batman & Catwoman though I love them together, I don't mind seeing them with other people.

To me, they worked well without each other. If they ever breakup again just because there not together anymore doesn't mean she's not apart of Team Arrow. Only three times I actcually liked them as a couple Justice Leaque Unlimted, Young Justice and Injustice.

Shiva & Canary they have a intresing dynamic. Clash of ideals yet they seemly to work well together. Shiva even suggested Dinah become her apprentice.

Gotham: Now, I know Gotham is more of Batman's. But irronically Dinah's father was a cop at Gotham and her mother was a crime fighter in Gotham to ( before batman's time). I feel like they should be brought up more in Gotham lore. Only time I seen it was in Harley Quin and the birds of prey

Deathstroke & Black Canary not a team up likely to happen but unusally fun while short. Just wish we had a Black Canary vs Deathstroke fight because she's grown so much. ( But this version Prime Earth seems more weaker than New Earth. PE seems to really a bit more on her canary cry) maybe next time.

Canary almost had another solo in DC robin round to me fair i saw alot intresting stories than this one. Still wish we got it though.

SO BASICALLY Fenris goes hunting for Anders (who was spared by this world state's Hawke) post-inquisition, and finds a freaking hermit hut. With a blond little hermit in it. Who is frankly disappointed that his new scraggly facial hair didn't fool Fenris at all. Based loosely on that one concept art from DAI that we all hated combined with that one lovely comic by fenhedislasa-harellan that we all loved JKFDLF.

SO. Fenris has magic. He does not like that he has magic. Sniffs out Anders. Anders is living off the grid and growing herbs in the woods. He gossips to birds like they're people and has a terrible beard.

They would then work together to figure out how Fenris ended up with new magic while also teaching him how to control it, and perhaps even use it to his advantage in combat (which would take a lot of debate and self compassion, not particularly in that order JKFDJKL). Stories of their pasts are shared. New perspectives are gained. Friendship is formed. Solas is bald and slippery as ever. Just another instance of me wanting to mush my favorite two glowstick boys together to work out their differences (and maybe even kiss a little? who can say, truly KDFJJKLDFJKL).

hello i bring you hybrid/species suggestions for empires because i am bored. of course every empire will have hybrids of all kinds but there are naturally certain hybrids that tend to live in certain areas. (i don’t really have ideas for false. i don’t have a good idea of her general vibe yet)

gem - phoenix (not my idea), butterfly (also not my idea), bee, dragonfly, ladybug, sheep, other bugs, probably any forest/plains animals

katherine - butterfly, bee, dragonfly, sheep, nature spirits, moobloom & mooshroom, fairies, various plains animals

fwhip - goblins (obviously), bats, spiders, various mobs/undead, sculk/wardens, lizards, centipedes/worms/similar bugs, various cave critters

sausage - literally everything and everyone, but natural inhabitants of the area are probably tigers, ocelots, leopards, panthers, parrots, chameleons

joey - axolotls, tigers, sirens/mermaids, various hybrids of all kinds from overseas

lizzie - sloths, avians, cats, dogs, bugs, plains/forest animals.

joel - various birds, your favorite mythological creatures, moths/butterflies

jimmy - snakes, lizards, cows, hawks, australian wildlife, spiders

shubble - frogs, herons, otters (😉)/muskrats, fish, various amphibians, cats (witches!!), misc bugs, misc lost hybrids looking for a home

pix - no area-specific species/hybrids. pix doesn’t seem to really have an ‘empire’ as much but pix’s area (or the Historian Society (i made this up)) is also a refuge for lost hybrids. there are beings of all kinds here.

scott - FUNKY LIL MAN. magic creatures like dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, stags, etc. also nether bois like ghasts and striders. basically, strange/magical.

What's everyone's favorite creature?

That Depends on if you mean by “Creature” haha! We’ll be broad on this answer and give one from the commonwealth and one from the world surrounding them!

Uli has a huge weakness for Horses, he loves to sit in the grass and watch them roam, most of the wild Hylian horses recognize him as the “Hylian who brings us free apples!” Aside from being terrified of monsters he actually finds Lizalfos terribly interesting to watch from a distance, he has several sketch books full of scribblings about Lizalfos. As for Creatures of the wider world, Uli loves Blue whales and Beluga whales, they are some of his favorites to learn about, and see if he decides on taking a ship to other parts of the world. Though it isn’t often as he gets horribly sea sick.

Nabora LOVES Sand Seals, they are her favorite Gerudo Desert Native Creature she interacts with Daily, though she can approach them in the wild without them fleeing immediately, she much prefers to watch them roam uninterrupted.The world has many Mythological creatures that she finds endlessly interesting, and when she has access to the Internet she is quite swiftly down a Rabbit Hole of Creatures in the regions she visits. She simply cannot Choose one! As for animals she was in love immediately when she learned that there was a snowy equivalent to her Sand Seals, she loves Walruses and really developed a love for Elephants.

Vallo likes most any Bird, He isn’t all that picky, Song Birds, Herons, He’s always a fan of the Hawks native to Hyrule, this carries over to the outside world as well, Secretary Birds, Penguins, Ostriches, he really enjoys watching any bird he can see and will gladly travel to see them in the wild if he can.

Viri loves Gorillas, he thinks they are absolutely the BEST animals outside of Hyrule. Any Ape or Monkey is absolutely tops on his list of creatures. The now critically endangered Faron Woodland Monkeys are some of his most beloved, but they haven’t been observed in the wild in Generations.

Rika has a real soft spot for Sea Lions and Seals in general, they have such fun personalities and behaviors that watching them sun bathe on the Glass Beach gives so much free serotonin. She’s also developed quite an interest in Griaffes and Cheetahs.

Tuto Loves the little Fireproof Lizards that skitter about Death mountain, and has an interest in Dragons, but still remembers a time when he was young when a Dragon would eat Gorons.

Idli has more of an interest in Bugs than most critters, she loves bees and Dragonflies, Watching she has a tank of Snails in her home that she maintains Meticulously because she loves them so much, they are all named.

Rutelia doesn’t think much about creatures though she likes the sounds of Ducks in the area, their silly little walks and funny noises make her want to hold them and listen to that noise all the time. The first time she encountered a swan though was really traumatic.

Cirrus loves The Skyloftian Loftwings, but also has at least three Remlits, though the first time he saw a wild hare on the surface he was deeply intrigued by them, and then he discovered that Hares and Rabbits are a whole separate thing, and he’s been fascinated for years.
