want soup? here’s soup!  the best soup!
after eating this for a few weeks my elbows and knees are no longer rough.
you need:
two pork thigh bones (like fist size pieces, if there’s cartilage on it’s a bonus) (organic bones are better)
4 chicken thigh bones (if there’s meat and skin/fat still on it’s a bonus)
thumb-length chunk of ginger root, sliced (scrape off the skin with a spoon first bc chinese medicine says you should)
[edited to add now I usually add both 黃耆 (huáng qí) and ginger root to the soup to boost my overall wellness and energy levels]
1/4-1/2 cup rice wine or any 25% or above alcohol (can skip if you don’t have, but it’s better with)
1/4 tsp salt
4 quarts water
throw everything in a 5 quart pot, and boil it up for 4 hours on low low heat.  watch it while you bring it to a boil first so it doesn’t boil over, (annoying!) then turn it down as low as possible for the 4 hours.
pro tip! if you need to leave the house but it’s not done cooking yet, make sure it’s been cooking WITHOUT opening the lid for at least a half hour, then you’re good to just turn it off and leave it on your stove safely, it’ll be sterile as it cools down.   when you come back home just resume cooking.
or! let it cool all the way down and pack it into boxes/bags for your freezer so you’re not faced with squeezing 4 quarts of soup into your fridge.
when it cools down it turns into solid jello, it’s amazing, all that gelatin is just straight up nutrition for your bones joins organs and skin
[edited to add that how 'solid' the jello is actually depends on the bones you've used that day, sometimes it's just thicker but very liquid when it's cooled, but that's ok it's still good for you]
I feel so nourished after having a bowl, even when there’s nothing else in it, but when you eat it you can add like dried seaweed and meatballs and spring onions and it’s so. good.
or you can add quartered tomatoes and quartered onions and pieces of meat
or you can add eggs and green veggies and spring onions
add it to anything to make the food more nutritious

Cantonese soup called 排骨莲藕汤 “Pork, Lotus Root & Peanut Soup”. It’s easy to make and has many health benefits such as boosting immunity, digestion and blood circulation. All you need to do is simmer pork bones (blanched with ginger beforehand to remove impurities), lotus root, raw peanuts (soaked for 3 hours or boiled for 30mins beforehand to soften), 1 dried octopus, 3 dried figs, 2 ginger slices and water (enough to cover the ingredients) for 2 hours.

Cold Remedies - SOUP!!
Cold Remedies – SOUP!!
We all lead busy lives, and as a Realtor I am always rushing to point A and B, compiling reports, previewing homes and obviously meeting clients and customers! Many of our clients have young children and of course many of them have the occasional sniffle. I have personally found that if I make soups, and have them on hand, not only do they make an easy light dinner (if served with a salad) but…

Video by the Catalan recipe blog lasofregida on Instagram. The song is "No fer tant" by Guillem Roma.
In autumn, it's very popular to eat soups like this. Here I'm calling this a soup because it's what it's called in English, but in Catalan we usually make a difference between a soup / sopa (broth with things in it, usually pasta and can also have vegetables and sometimes some meat) and what we see in this video which we'd call a cream / crema. A "cream" is made of vegetables and is made into a homogeneous creamy liquid.
In this case, La Sofregida is making one of the most common "creams" for autumn: squash "cream".
I'll add her recipe under the cut.
Squash cream (crema de carbassa):
Ingredients:
Squash
Leek
Scallion
Water
A sprinkle of olive oil
Salt
You can also add carrots or a potato and some cheese that melts easily, and mix it all in like the other ingredients.
Preparation:
Place the vegetables in a pan and add a sprinkle of olive oil and salt, then slightly stir-fry the vegetables to bring out the taste.
Add water to boil them for 30-40 minutes more or less, until the vegetables are cooked.
Mix it all with a blender to make a homogenous soup, and serve!
When you serve it, you can add a bit of Iberian ham or bacon on top. Enjoy!

Healthy Food and Drinks (NOT Deco) for The Sims 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As requested by @hergoldenlife I converted a bunch of food and drinks from the Somik&Severinka Healthy Food Delivery Set. I transformed them in some "easy to cook" frozen food, keeping the original tray. Sims will cook them like the Dinner Tv Food; they will come out from the fridge in their box or in a frozen state (for the soups) and sims will heat them in the oven or microwave. The Oatmeal Porridge doesn't need to be heated so sims will directly eat it. Drinks can be served or drank alone (like the juice can), while food can't be served to other sims but only eaten alone. Everything is low poly.
These food and drinks have their own fridge menu named "Healthy Food" or "Have/Serve Healthy Drinks" so it's easy to find them. You can choose what food you want or not, you don't need to put everything in your folder if you don't like something.
In the .rar you will find: Steamed Salmon and fresh Vegetables, Omelet with Vegetables and Grilled Zucchini, Grilled Tilapia and steamed Vegetables, Grilled Steak and baked Red Pepper, Oatmeal Porridge with Berries and Nuts, Broccoli Soup-puree, Mushroom Soup-puree, Pumpkin Soup-puree with Seeds. Smoothie with Banana, Blueberry, Kiwi, Raspberry, Strawberry
DOWNLOAD HERE
If you want other food from this set let me know in a comment here ^^
