This soup is sooooo good! It really puts me in the spirit for yule, and the ending of fall, into the transition of winter. Stir in a clockwise motion to bring cozy vibes into your houses atmosphere and dance to some winter songs to release stagnate energy from a days hard work! P.S. Yule Log Cake recipe coming up in a few day so look out for that !
1 large butternut squash
1 large yellow onion
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 red pepper
2 cloves garlic
Salt and Pepper
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 sweet potato
3 cups chicken stock
Sprigs of thyme and rosemary
2 (28 oz) cans whole tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 375 F. Cut your butternut squash in half and scoop out the seeded part. Do the same for your red pepper and sweet potato. Brush with olive oil and season with the spices listed above. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
2. In a deep large pot, cook your onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent. Transfer that into a large food blender and add your tomatoes, pepper, flesh of your butternut squash and the insides of your sweet potato. Blend until very smooth and transfer back into the pot.
3. Add more seasoning to taste, chicken stock, and your sprigs of thyme and rosemary. Bring to a boil over high heat. Then turn it down to a lower heat, cover, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
4. Serve with grated parmesan, toasted bread, and laddle into bowls. Enjoy!

I heard people on Tumblr like soups.
Probably the national soup of Romania if there is one.
Comes in a lot of variants, all of them sour. This is Ciorbă de legume (with vegetables)
The reason I'm never going to understand why there are people who drink Sauerkraut juice. That’s an ingredient, not a drink!
Best served with a jab of crème fraîche
Normal amount? Never heard of her. You either make none of it or enough to feed your neighbors too.

Easy Menu Ethnic Cookbooks is a series i stumbled upon at 3 am because I can't sleep which teaches easy recipes and they also have a book with vegetarian options. If you want to learn more recipes from your country/continent/heritage or just want more variety in your life, read one of these books.

Uchihas as Soup
Madara- french onion, you either love him or hate him. There is no in between.
Obito- loaded potato soup, very bad for you but absolutely a guilty pleasure.
Shisui- chicken gnocchi, higher quality but classic taste.
Itachi- chicken noodle, classic, a safe choice.
Sasuke- tomato. No explanation required.
Indra- vegetable soup. The blueprint.

Soups are good and your characters should have small re-usable containers that let them carry around pre-made soups full of healing herbs that allow your characters to recover from damage sustained on their adventure.

Autumn is Soup Season, Baby
Hello - I've said before and will say again, I am obsessed with autumn. And one of my favorite parts of the cooler weather (in the Northen hemisphere at least) is soups! I love a soup, I love a stew!
Thought I would share my fave recipes, all vegetarian (and can be made vegan). If you have any go-to's for fall, please share!
Spiced Chickpea Stew with Coconut and Turmeric
Also known as 'The Stew' this has become a fast fave of mine - love a chickpea, and this is a great way to use up random leafy greens! Can also add carrots! (I know not everyone can access NYTimes, happy to send the recipe through in message).
Green Curry Lentil Soup
Yes to all the legumes! And sweet potatoes! This uses a thai curry paste as a base, and it adds such great flavor. About to try making this was squash for the first time this week!
I mean there's obviously a thousand minestrone recipes out there, but I like this one, because it gives you a lot of veggie options. This is my let's clear the fridge out recipe - it's easy to sub in whatever veg you have and a great way to get rid of the stuff that's starting to wilt or get a bit squidgy.
Spicy Black Bean Soup
I love beans! Seriously! This soup is also stupid easy to make, but I do play around with it. Sometimes I leave out the carrot and celery, sometimes I add a can of chopped tomatoes. I will also recommend the world's easiest black bean soup recipe, which is to just... blend some black beans and salsa! And heat it up! Delicious, full of protein, and easy.
Hope you enjoy and pls send soup recipes!
PS - I am aware that Bon Appetit has come under a lot of fire for racism and discrimination - I actually have this recipe saved in a google doc so I avoid the website, happy to send it through in a message. And similarly I know that Alison Roman has also come under fire for appropriation of her recipes.
