"do you think i'm stupid, owen?" you hissed, quickly standing up from his couch and grabbing your jacket, not bothering to put it on quite yet. rage was flowing through your think veins, your hands tightened around your phone and if you squeezed just a little bit tighter you might just bust it.

"no- what? no, no you're not-"

"then why did you think i wouldn't find out? listen-" you took a deep breath before you would break something, "i know we aren't official, i know we're just fuck buddies, but it would have been nice to know. that's all i'm saying."

"you know y/n i don't understand why you're mad, you're right we aren't official!" his words seemed to sting. sting more than they should have. he was right, both of you were right; you weren't official. the closest thing he had done to taking you on a date was taking you to mcdonalds when the both of you were hungry at two in the morning and he paid. but still, they stung.

"do the girls back home, the girls you talk to so often, do they touch you like i do?" you asked, making direct and cold eye contact with him while he stood towering above you, but not intimidating you at all. "think about that, and maybe you can find out why i'm angry or not."

you slam the door behind you as you walk out of his apartment, down the hall, and toward the parking garage. it's not until you realize when you make a couple of turns down the street toward your own apartment that the emotions you. tears fall down your face, tears of both anger and sadness roll down your hot cheeks.

in reality you'd get over it, because in reality the tears that are pouring out of you aren't worth it. the man you're crying over, isn't worth it. but that didn't mean it wasn't real and it wasn't painful.

This is a drawing I did in 2021. It was my first digital drawing, so I didn't understand things like layers. I remember finishing it and being really proud of myself, because it was the first time I had ever really tried at art.

This is a picture I drew today, in 2024, only three years later. Looking at the pictures helps me realize just how far I've come, and inspires me to do better. I hope it can inspire someone else as well, whether it's to do art, or something completely different.

6. how long did you/ have you been planning?

Somewhere between 2 days and 7 years!

No for real, it's hard to tell. For example, Undeserved went from vague idea at seeing the prompt list to fully written in less than three weeks (I added a few more chapters later), but in theory his backstory already existed as part of Glass Shards, just way less detailed.

Meanwhile Glass Shards was done in a single month with very little "planning", just sprouting from some "what if" daydreams.

On the other hand, some projects have been in planning for like 1,5 years now and no progress, hmpf, while others have been in a lowkey "oh I wish I had the motivation to work on that" stage since like 2016.

8. what are some words to describe the aesthetic?

Thorns: Bioluminescent plants / thorny thickets / tree sap and fire / a peaceful valley / giant trees / flower petals

Glass Shards: a cheap inn room / the beach at sunrise / holding hands / old scars / a long road through fields

Nuisance: a pile of coins / misunderstandings / fancy clothes and canes / against the law / why me?

Undeserved: a vast steppe / a dark dungeon cell / chains and blood / a noose / no way out
