I just saw that in a different post, not the one you are referring to. One of the gold stars was saying (in so many words) that the peace ring is an engagement ring, and she linked to posts that went more into detail. But left out the fact that Harry stopped wearing the peace ring last year. She's one that preaches 'never broke up/they're still together' so I'm sure there is an excuse somewhere, like Louis is looking after it. It's really ironic. By the way in the Harry wax work he is wearing the peace ring because he wore the ring on that day to the MP premiere, it wasn't randomly added. Interestingly I think that was the last time he wore it.

Hello! Here are the new traits that I have been working on. I have made 15 new CAS Traits 

How does this work?

Just like you would add any other CAS trait for your Sims. For reference, you can look at the photo and these are all the traits you would find in the game. These are compatible with all of my other previous traits.

Depending on what trait you use sims with the traits or sims around the sim with these traits can have certain reactions. It's just like how the traits work in general. 

Gamer: These Sims gain significant happiness and stress relief from playing video games, may become tense if they haven't gamed for a while, and excel in tech-related careers.

Romantic Idealist: These Sims dream of grand romantic gestures and true love, often getting mood boosts from romantic interactions but may become sad if their love life doesn't meet their lofty expectations.

Cuddle Bug: These Sims love giving and receiving hugs, gaining positive moodlets from cuddling with loved ones and pets.

Fairy-Tale Fanatic: These Sims are obsessed with fairy tales, feeling happy when reading or discussing them and often aspire to live out their own fairy-tale romance or adventure.

Baker: These Sims find joy and comfort in baking, experiencing mood improvements when making and eating baked goods.

tbf it would also be funny if val himself drew sexy alastor art to placate vox in an argument. he's done it so much he doesn't need to use references anymore. but dw this only applies to VAL so specifically val wouldn't need to commission lucifer after an argument with vox. but it's not like val would ALWAYS be willing to do a fully rendered artwork of alastor. you're right. vox would have to outsource. this is how lucifer's commissions still come into play.

alternatively, like a fool, vox tries his very best to pretend he is actually normal about alastor so he commissions outside sources in secret without consulting the other vees as if they don't already know because it's so obvious. this is where val gets to be the responsible one for once and step in at the monetary loss and just offer to draw for him sexy alastors himself (lucifer already got a lot of money from vox's commissions though)

beautiful and horny

I recently reread one of my favorite essays, Everyone is Beautiful and No One is Horny, and posted a bit about it here. The difference between "beautiful" and "horny" (between "hot" and "sexy," as my bestie @nexility-sims puts it) is kind of difficult to explain in the abstract. So instead of just complaining, I thought it might be useful for me to try to explain how I've tried to depict sex and desire in my story.

Suggestion One: use close-ups to demonstrate desire

First off: I think the key to making something sexy isn't to show someone or something that is visually beautiful. Sexiness isn't about aesthetics, it's about desire. It's very easy to show the audience a beautiful person, harder to make clear that they are desirable. Desire isn't about seeing a beautiful person, it's about looking at them and noticing things about them, specific things. Desire often carries a little bit of objectification with it, and that's okay -- the problem is when someone is wholly objectified, made into a passive thing, a receptacle for desire rather than a person who is themselves desirable.

In this scene, I have two close-ups that emphasize Vivi's backless dress (and Julián's touch). She's wearing that backless dress the whole time, but we don't really notice it until the camera calls specific attention to it by moving in close. The zoom-in on the second shot intensifies what is already present in the first shot, creating a sense of escalation -- it's the same thing, twice in a row, but there is a sense that tension is building. Please also note that Julián is bare-handed, but all the Armoricans are all wearing gloves.

So, to show that someone is desirable, you need to show what the other character is noticing about them. This is happily pretty easy in a visual medium! The entire point of a close-up is to show the audience what they're meant to be noticing: the listening device hidden in the potted plant, the smudged handwriting in a suspect's passport, the curve of the love interest's spine in her backless dress. An effective close-up helps the reader see the character as their love interest does, helps them understand why that character is sexy.

(This doesn't need to be entirely physical! Skill and expertise are desireable traits...a close-up of a chef's hands as they lovingly prepare a meal for their beloved can express desire, as could a shot of an athlete clearing the bar in the high jump.)

Suggestion Two: sex is a thing you do with your mouth and hands

As a wise man once said in an interview about one of my favorite video games, "the thing about desire is that it’s stronger when it’s not totally satisfied."

A wide shot where you can see someone's entire naked body is like 50% sexy. A close-up where you can see part of their naked body is like 75% sexy. A close-up of someone's hands as they tug at the plunging neckline of their evening dress is all the way sexy.

Anything that makes your imagination go into overdrive to fill in the details is automatically going to be sexier than something where you see everything.

(see also: William Ware Theiss, one of the costume designers for Star Trek, who said, "the sexiness of an outfit is directly proportional to the perceived possibility that a vital piece of it might fall off.")

I make use of this a lot.

In this scene, there's a lot of chest on display, but when Vivi makes a pass at Julián, we're looking at their hands and not their bodies. This is another escalation, her touching him instead of the other way around. We're seeing her take the lead, which is sexy!!!

In this scene, we get mouths and hands in a single shot. In a wide shot, this moment of him feeding her ice cream might read as cute, but removed from context and zoomed in to just the mouth and hands, it becomes sensual.

Suggestion Three: Linger in the moment, let us see the reaction

A lot of the idioms related to sex and desire suggest a loss of control. Arousal is "getting hot and bothered," having sex is "giving in" to desire. It's not enough just to show something sexy, we also need to see the effect it's having on our characters. Don't be afraid to show your characters getting flustered, stammering, getting caught up in the moment. I think that people are sometimes a little embarrassed about including sex and want to show only the bare minimum. They want it to be sexy, but they also want it to be over and done with. These two desires are almost always at odds with one another -- if you want something to be sexy, don't be afraid to linger in the moment. Show the action, but more importantly, show the reaction.

In this scene, we don't need to see any naked bodies (or where exactly Emily's put her hands). It's enough to see Freddy getting progressively more worked up as they make out.

It's especially sexy to show a person who is ordinarily very controlled coming undone.

It's not hard to understand why this was my best-performing post of 2023. Leonor and Andre, both very buttoned-up and in-control people, can't keep their hands off of one another. The facade slips for both of them, they need one another more than they need to discuss whatever important thing they were supposed to be discussing.

Suggestion Four: If you aren't fully comfortable showing sex, you don't have to

Not a ton to say here, but I think it's an important point to end on. If you feel weird and awkward writing sex, downloading sexy poses, and taking sexy screenshots, you don't have to include those things in your story!

Sex positivity doesn't mean everyone's fucking all of the time, it means everyone is expressing the amount of sexuality they are comfortable with. I exclusively wrote erotica/smut for nearly a decade, I am very comfortable including sex in my story. But if that's not you, that's okay! You don't need to include anything you don't want to.

A Random Observation That Didn't Fit Anywhere Else

If you have a scene that features naked or nearly-naked characters that aren't meant to be sexy, you can do the opposite of these things to avoid sexualizing them. Show them in wide shots, don't zoom in close to emphasize any one part of their body, focus on things other than physical reaction -- I've got this whole scene with Leonor in a swimsuit but it's not really sexy in the context. We're not leering at her body, she just happens to be wearing a swimsuit because they're at the beach. Even the physical touch and intimacy in that scene isn't particularly sexy, the emphasis there is on the emotions.

he takes the things she already was sure of from her arm

hannah just laughs before tucking the soy sauce bottle in her arm then looking towards the side

“can you grab that cooking wine for me?”

chenle reached for the bottle she was pointing to before she nodded

“this will do. also, just get the green onions. better too much than too little”

mark starts calling for them “yo chefs! chef curry! chef oliver!”

cut back to hannah who exchanges looks with chenle then shakes her head

“he catches me watching jamie oliver cooking videos ONE time…”

they walk towards mark who’s laughing

she walks past him straight to jeno, dodging mark's attempt to pinch her cheek while chenle lightly tells him off

jeno looks at her “do you guys need eggs?”

“just the dozen” she looks at jeno gratefully as he carefully places the eggs in the cart “thanks for not being embarrassing at all”

“you love us, hans” “whatever, markie”

she walked ahead with chenle to look at the meat cuts

she picked the best choices of the cuts chenle read from his list while chenle placed them into the cart and told jeno and mark what they were

chenle went off to get peppers and instructed them to get some makgeolli

“is makgeolli haechan’s?” “i don’t know”

hannah looked at them “it’s nana’s, but we should probably get some extra for hyuck”

when jeno said he felt chaotic, she gave him a deadpan look which made him laugh

while chenle was off on his own to get peppers, it cuts back to the three left behind

hannah looks in the cart

“jen?” “mm why?” “can you double check if these are the best of each cut then get the makgeolli? i don’t trust myself. i’m gonna go grab a few snacks”

there’s a cut of her getting bags of different snacks

back at the house when renjun was dancing jisung laughed

“noona would get high blood pressure if she saw you hyung” “she gives me high blood pressure”

back at the grocery, she walks over to jeno and mark to place the snacks in the cart, overhearing their conversation

“chenle, get the green onions please!” “okay, noona!”

she looks over everything in the cart while comparing it to her list while mark goes through the makgeolli

“red ginseng makgeolli?”

she looks up at him

“don’t even think about it” “should i buy this” “i know we call you makgeolli sometimes, but this isn’t it” “i want to see their reaction”

she facepalms while jeno laughs “no, they would yell at you”

she sighs when mark yells out “chef curry!” again then approaches jeno

she gave him a pointed look before walking back to the area with the makgeolli

chenle follows her after mark jokes about the ginseng makgeolli

after a mark and jeno get the spam and chenle meets up with them to bring the four of them together, it cuts to hannah

she puts two bottles of makgeolli in the cart, one big and one small

mark looks at her “wait what are those?”

“just regular makgeolli,” she told him, “the big one for jaemin to use and the small one is for hyuck and anyone else who wants to drink”

the three boys exchange looks before nodding

jeno fixes them in the cart “i trust hannah”

she smiles before realizing, “oh, but call jaemin still! i need to know if i got the right ml that he needs”

jeno nodded while mark started looking at drinks. she looks in the cart again

while jeno and jaemin are on call, she goes to get paper cups and paper plates then realizes they’re too high up to reach normally without dropping the stuff around them

she grumbled to herself “this is demeaning” while getting on her toes and slowly grabbing the things she needed

mark was smirking at her when she walked back to them

“i saw that” “shut up” “it’s like at home” “mark lee.” “bet you wish you wore heels today, huh?” “i will end you”

mark chuckled while slinging an arm around her shoulder and leading them to follow jeno and chenle

when looking at ramen, jeno asks her “any preference today?” “no, anything is good today”

she checked the list and smiled in satisfaction “everything’s here”

back at the house there’s a conversation about messaging images of the moon and getting into car accidents and workouts

jisung just “i did work out my lower body! hannah noona did her core in the gym with me!”

in the grocery, hannah looked at the three boys while they debated with an ‘are you serious?’ expression

“get the green onions”

jeno laughed and put it in the cart

while the three boys were at the counter, she looked back then at the boys

after she walks away, chenle goes “it’s like when your mom leaves you in line in the grocery”

she doesn’t see the debate the boys have again and mark putting the green onions back where they were displayed

but it shows her peacefully grabbing apple juice with the caption ‘blissfully unaware’

she gets back, and the items she’s holding are the last to be scanned and bagged

she moved to carry a bag, but jeno took it from her and placed it in the cart

when they walk out of the store, she looks at the sky and smiles while mark exclaims

“hans, look!”

she looks at the sky then looks at the camera “one of the few things mark and i take seriously when we’re together: when the sky looks pretty… wow, it’s getting colder”

she and mark take pictures while jeno and chenle load the car

back at the house when jaemin walks back in, jisung checks his phone

“noona texted! ‘jisung-ah, it’s getting colder, wear a hat if you go outside’ how did she know I’d go outside?”

his phone buzzed

“another message… ‘i gave the staff a beanie to give you’ wait, what?”

the staff handed him a beanie, and he looked at it curiously “how did noona know?”

later on there’s a clip of her parking the car and jeno (who’s filming her) just “look at her trying to look cool while parking” “shut up, samoyed” “yeah, yeah, open the door”

they laugh before she unlocks the doors. jeno gets out, circling the front of the car to open her door for her then going to the back to grab the grocery bags

she looked over the balcony and smiled at jisung

“what do you have there, ji?” “noona, we made the fire turn green!”

she walked towards them, letting jaemin drape an arm over her shoulder while she patted jisung’s head once she arrived

jaemin left them when jisung started showing hannah the pictures he took

back inside the house, there was bickering over green onions

she heard a bit of noise, so she went to check on them then heard jaemin going “we must have green onions!”

she looked confused as she walked in “we do have green onions”

it shows the three boys looking like deer caught in headlights with the caption ‘caught twice in 30 seconds’

haechan comes down and stands right next to hannah

“a little tense there, haeeun” “they didn’t buy the green onions that were already in the cart!”

when jeno holds up the onion saying they have onion, she and jaemin exchange looks before sighing

haechan rubs her shoulders while chuckling, pulling a chair to sit on then having her sit on his lap

“you're lucky i'm not in the mood to make you go back and buy ut yourselves today” she told mark and jeno before turning to jaemin. “i doubled the meat serving you asked for, i feel like 800 grams won’t be enough for us all”

chenle smirked when he noticed she didn't include him in her scolding

after a while of listening to their conversation, she got up and moved towards the door “i’m going to jisung”

mark followed her “wait for me!”

she walked to jisung then heard “jisung, i’ll cross this river for you”

when she turned around, she saw mark preparing to jump over the concrete floor despite jisung’s disapproval

“let him be, ji,” hannah waved her hand and kept walking, “he may get hurt, but it was for you”

“noona!” “what? you know we’d all let ourselves get hurt for you”

“she’s right” mark pitched in before renjun tried calling for them all to come back inside

“huanuo! get jisung and get back inside away from the cold!” “later, ge! we’re gonna spend some time by the fire first!”

she pulled mittens out of her pocket while mark and jisung talked about the ramen then placed them on jisung’s hands once he handed the pot to mark

mark looked at her surprised “since when did you have mittens?”

“i protect my kid” she smiled, letting jisung drape his arms over her shoulders from behind her

she listened actively while mark and jisung exchanged stories of the sky, lightly rubbing his gloved hands so they weren’t cold

mark looks at her after a while then closes his phone “let’s head inside. hannah’s nose is turning red”

“is not!”

jisung and mark laugh while cleaning up

then it fades out and shows preview clips of the next episode

Having a big frustration with the game director doin his response-to-the-reaction on a tweet because I had to dig through a bunch of sweatbaby reacts before finding the video itself on youtube. That sucks! Would have been great if like the tweet got linked on the youtube page or he posted the video on the youtube account.

For the most part, what he said was stuff I didn't need to have explained because Ive been paying attention to the high-level and drawing-back-the-curtain communications theyve done in the past. All that stuff about armor, I groked that on my own when I sat down and looked at all the armor sets in a 4 season year of destiny. The stuff about pvp modes made perfect sense to me, you got something new for skilled players and something to entice players who are scared of the crucible because of the skilled players. The stuff about how the showcase was filmed a while ago and the team is very busy working, that was some "daycare worker being patient with child because they knocked over their own juice" meme level explanation.

I am so ashamed and sad for my game's community that the literally destiny presidenty has to get on twitter to explain to grown ass men that the game is being worked on, and they aren't just sitting around waiting for us to complain about stuff and then tell us what theyre gonna do about it, like this is some fucking restaurant and joe is the maitre'd who's gonna go back in the kitchen and say 'Hey chef chris proctor stop making that delicious exotic weapon potroast and put some more maps in the goddam spaghettios I got a table full of screaming 11 6th graders out here' If he thinks this is the best way to handle the way the sweatbabys are behaving, that is the most sad and tragic commentary on this game's communuty.

I don't like that after years of consistent messaging about not overpromising on delivery, he straight up promised a map-pack that, based on what they've told us in the past, is gonna require a huge shift in resources. That's very worrying! I thought this kind of stuff was over! Great job aztecross et all! You got dad to turn the van around! Now who knows what's gonna get knocked off pipeline as a result. The later FS dungeon? A reprised destination? Maybe the next reprised raid?

If a destiny CM happens to see this, I'm sorry. I'm just sorry. You deserve better. Destiny deserves better. The Crucible deserves better. None of these pvp tryhards make Shaxx or Saint proud. They're just loud. I'm sorry y'all have to do so much to keep them from being deafening.

Hello hello! I am back (temporarily) for another astro obserbasyon. Again, the placements and aspects mentioned here may or may not resonate with some of you as you have to consider other aspects in your chart. With that said, here goes.

➼ If you want to see the magnificent minds of Aquarius people, look up Joan Pujol Garcia (aka Agent Garbo) and his story. I recommend Wendigoon's video about him (here) and if you want to see his birth chart astro.com has his birth chart (here). He is the blueprint for Aquarius.

➼ Moon in Scorpio as kids are always seen as "problematic" and "cold". Please don't say this, they get so much shit and for what reason? This is where their negative outlook of life develops. They also might get the "stop looking at them like that" a lot.

➼ Moon in Aquarius as kids are... they're not weird. They're actually "mature", in a sense that they're understanding. And just like Moon in Capricorn kids, they're also the type to know what they want and stand their ground. Not stubborn, but they know what works for them or not.

➼ Moon in Taurus as kids are fawned over. The cutest eyes I tell you.

➼ Mercury in an Earth sign or a natal chart where its 3rd House is ruled by an Earth sign (most water risings) has this type of "full" and clear voice. Take Vincent Price for example, who has a Ascendant in Pisces. His voice is not that deep, but it is a "solid" sounding one (he's also the one that got me listening to "Thriller" countless of times). Jimmy Stewart, who's Ascendant is in Cancer, has a speech disorder (stuttering) and yet you can still understand every word he says.

Miruko I imagine doing something like being a physical trainer or a professional boxer. Other jobs I imagine are a choreographer (with the way she moves, I bet she would make a great dancer) or just working at a pet clinic or store (of course, she would love working with rabbits).

Midoriya, he's still a student in the canon story, so he would be a student. However, when he's older, I think he would pursue a career that's fitting for his skillset. With that mind, he would be good at something like a researcher. Ooh, I also can see him pursue something in Arts. Like, a mangaka himself. He's a fanboy of heroes, so I can see him make a manga about heroes. (He can do a collab with Manga Fukidashi.)

Rock Lock, that man, I don't know why but I see him as a teacher. With how he uses his quirk, I feel like he would be a great math or science teacher. And as a teacher, he's the strict, yet good-natured kind. The kind that pushes his students to succeed because he sees their potential and if they need help, he'll help.

Okay, just like with Midoriya, Itadori is still a student in his story, so student. However, older, I can see him as an athlete. Which sport? Just any. I also see him taking on a career where he gets to help people. Probably does a lot of charity work in his career while as an athlete.

Funny story, I already have a Modern-Day AU fic where Sukuna is an idol of some sorts, does modeling and acting, yeah. Although, I can see him being a lethal chef.

Ooh! Miwa, at first, I didn't have a clue. Now, again, she's a student. Yet, my mind decided that she would be great at stunts. Motion-capture for video games, a double for movies and TV shows sometimes plays a background person. And let's thrown in a little voice-acting! Pit Babe ep 13 initial reaction

Okay let’s do the final photo review. Okay ep 11 10 12 weren’t for me but I think 13 was good. My initial rating has to be an 8/10. A very surprising 8/10.

I was EXTREMELY upset that the racing bl that I had been looking forward to was ABO I like race car driving in general so I really was said abo was gonna happen. However this show didn’t take ABO in the creepy ways I hate mainly the sexism and homosexuality of it all. Honestly it’s straight girl’s fantasy most of the time. As a lesbian I am turned off by the sexism and breeding 🤮. But Pitbabe was interesting and bearable idk if there are subsequent seasons will lean into those tropes but I hope not. I love the actor for Babe he’s extremely talented ep13 only cemented this for me. I really enjoyed JeffAlan, PeteKenta, and NorthSonic I thought they had a good amount of side character relationships. JeffAlan felt very natural and sweet. I loved the characters of Kim and Kenta just interesting. What I didn’t like was how clownery the plot was. It was a little cheesy hokey. I think the writing didn’t do any favors for Charlie either. Charlie is very V A N I L L A I don’t think it’s the actors fault. I’ve decided it’s writing. Although I think the motivation of Tony was cartoon villain the actor really brought the evil to life I enjoyed his portrayal of a cult leader really. Anyways let’s get on to the photo review

Babe in this scene is just chef kiss if people question can bl peeps act show them this. He’s hysterical to see Charlie again. I was worried Babe would just accept Charlie back or be Angry but this is better. You can see he’s hurt but so happy Charlie is alive and with him that Babe is healed in a way. Charlie was being weird but I think it’s the writing. So beautiful in his emotions omg.

Wow… the three of them beating up winner and NorthSonic uploading the video. So cool. Really these scenes had me sitting on the edge of my seat rooting for them. ALSO WE ALL KNOW I LOVE KIM. I’m on board with Kim being a third for NorthSonic. Kim is also very fashionable. He fits in perfectly.

I’m glad someone died. I do find it poetic and fitting that Way died saving Babe very full circle. I didn’t hate Way as much as everyone else. He was wrong for what he did but… I feel like he had the bones and the actor to make a compelling rejected love interest. I do think babe always cared about way in a true friendship which was beautiful.

Pete and Kenta bad ass bitches getting shit done. I think Kenta might legit be Tony’s child. Like biologically. That would be a good twist. I was said we didn’t get any PeteKenta reunion in the end.

Alan and Jeff are so…

Idk they have very high chemistry. Jeff really feels like a person who hasn’t been exposed to the real world really and he’s truly trying to comfort Alan. To be fair Alan has been through a shit ton but he does feel that pain and seeks comfort in Jeff. It’s very sweet even though we get the sexy scenes for them.

Quick note is way buried at the race track or something?! Why is his grave on his own?! Way’s ghost is going to be lonely…. It’s pretty but still.

The my kid is sick and so I need to sell him trope is sadly something I’ve seen before BUT!!!! I enjoyed the Dad’s acting he seemed really torn about it and he never ever gave up.

North Sonic’s contrast pants and hyping up Kim was perfect. Kim being happy to watch Babe and Charlie is very endearing. I hope Kim and Babe can be besties who push each other. I know Kim isn’t a special alpha but I like the dynamic of him being the best human? Idk. He’s 10/10 I love him.

How beautiful. I really loved this show and I enjoyed the ending. I wish Pete and Kenta had been there but I found this very beautiful and meaninful. Babe and Charlie crashing Alan’s intricate date so they can be found family couples together gahhh I really loved the family aspect to the series it wasn’t super loud or overdone but you knew Babe Alan North Sonic were truly family who added in Charlie Kim Jeff.

Anyways I had fun idk what I’m watching next. I need to catch up on 23,5 or I’ll lose my lesbian card hahahaha but I am quite busy. If anyone has a suggestion for what I should start on next plzzz tell me. Other people motivate me more than myself hahaha.

Last Part Next Part Summary: SMG4 and SMG3 have become a canon couple, dating should be easy according to all the memes SMG4 has seen. But dating your rival of several years is anything but easy especially when SMG3 villain past comes to haunt him. Tag: First love, First kiss, fluff, angst, emotional hurt/comfort, SMG3 has to battle some inner demons

Chapter 1 The Cooking Challenge SMG3 was relaxing in the guest room, since his new home is still being built and the dead memes are working on a party to celebrate the new lair he had no choice but to stay at his boyfriends castle. Now that was a strange thought for him, after years of trying to kill the man, years of trying to be like him and find his place in the world, here he is. A meme guardian, now with a found family to call his own, and currently dating his rival. If anyone told him years ago that things would end up like this he would shoot you on the spot.

As he sips his coffee he takes out his favorite magazine ‘redeemed super villains weekly’ after joining the crew he needed help adjusting to people, the magazine had so many tips and tricks on how to talk to people on the hero side it made it easier to get closer to the crew. Curious, he flipped and found what he was looking for, a chapter talking about how to date the hero you attempted to kill, he starts to read it only to be interrupted by SMG4 kicking the door open.

Startled, he spilled the coffee on the floor and stared bug eyes at his boyfriend “SMG3! I have come up with the perfect…oh uh sorry,” SMG4 let out a sheepish smile as he put the laptop down to help clean the mess.

Once it was clean SMG3 glared at his partner “What the hell! You know noon is SMG3 time where I relax with a nice coffee and a book, what is so important you have to kick the door down!?” SMG4 winks at him and shows his laptop with a list of locations, now that they were a couple he couldn't help himself thinking of all the adventures the two could go on. He also was already in the works of planning an announcement video to his channel about their relationship.

“I made a list of places we can go to, and I was thinking doing these couple challenges would be a good way to let my viewers know we are dating!” SMG4 looked at his boyfriend with eyes full of hope.

SMG3 looked at the list and scoffed “Best chef? Dress me up!? Where the hell did you get these challenges wikihow?” SMG4 awkwardly looks to the side “Uh…no?” clearing his throat he points to the list “Doesn't matter i did some research last night and i think doing these challenges can help us…well adjust to our new relationship.” He smiles softly at his partner watching the other man's reaction. SMG3 shook his head ready to reject the whole idea, just then his eyes lay on the article he was reading.

Looking back at the list he takes a deep breath “We all know im the better chef, remember Marty wanted my pizza recipe i doubt a scrub like you could do better!”

SMG4 lets out a chuckle “I remember you burning eggs when we were stuck together, I doubt your cooking is that amazing.”

It took one blink for them to be in the kitchen with a couple of ingredients on the counter, the judges for this challenge were Mario, Meggy and Tari. The food of the event would be spaghetti since that was the only way to get Mario to agree to join this. While the two guardians have trust issues with the plumber he was still their friend, them being soft for the man is why he is still here with them. That and him being the avatar they need to make sure their favorite idiot is safe from harm.

Meggy smiles “Alright ready boys? LETS COOK!” She hits the bell and the boys start cooking while the judges go into the next room. Making spaghetti is easy given how many times SMG4 had to make it for the plumber, he liked to call himself an expert. He turns to see how his competition is doing, only to freeze, SMG3 picks up two cans of beans and starts dumping it onto the pasta in the pot. Then he slices the tomatoes and starts making the sauce adding a huge amount of hot sauce, it was worse than any horror game SMG4 had to play through. SMG3 was humming to himself only to pause when feeling a soft touch on his arm “Hey…uh 3, you do know beans and spaghetti aren't really a thing together?” SMG3 scoffs and smirks at his partner as he goes back to cooking.

“You don't know the true power of beans, that will be your downfall scrub!” He gently brushes off his boyfriend's hand to focus on his cooking. With a shrug SMG4 goes back to making his plate, he couldn't help every once in a while look back at the other guardian seeing him make his strange plate.

The moment of truth was here, SMG4 handed a plate to each judge and watched them take a bite. He started to sweat, nervous about the reaction. Meggy and Tari took a bite giving him a thumbs up, he looked at Mario who ate the spaghetti so fast if you blink you would miss it. In fact after the girls took one bite Mario snuck up and ate their plates “Hey Red come on that was ours!”

“Mario was hungry!” was all he said before he started chanting he wanted more, SMG3 came out with his pot with a huge smile. SMG4 smirks at his partner “I got this in the bag, everyone loved my dish.”

SMG3 rolled his eyes giving the judges each a plate, Tair stared at the plate confused “Beans?”

SMG3 nods “Yep, it's SMG3 special Pinto beans spaghetti chili!”

Each of them took a bite, SMG4 was ready for all of them to spit out the food but it didn't happen. Tari and Meggy eyes go wide as they start eating the plate as fast as Mario, the girls start crying from how spicy the dish was but they couldn't stop eating it. He turns to his boyfriend only to get a shit eating grin from him, Mario jumps into the pot eating the rest of it showing who won the cook off. He couldn't believe it as he fell to his knees, slowly a plate appeared in front of him “I saved you a plate…uh not cause i want you to try out my cooking idiot! Just to show off my skill!” SMG3 blushes looking away.

He takes the plate slowly and takes a bite, he couldn't believe how amazing it tasted. He could feel the spice burn him as he started to get tears in his eyes, any spicer and he was sure he would be breathing fire and burn down their new castle. He turns, staring at his blushing partner and walks up to him “This is amazing 3! I had no idea you could make dishes like this…you're amazing.” he smiles softly at SMG3 taking his hand. They both look at each other softly before hearing a small cough from Meggy “Uh are we missing something here?”

Mario stares at the interaction “Are you two finally dating?” They both let go of each other embarrassed, they got so lost with each other they forgot about the others. Not to mention they still haven't told the crew they just started dating, with an annoyed sigh SMG3 took SMG4 hand and glared at their friends “Yeah we are dating, but if you tell anyone about this before we do i will kill you!”

SMG4 was surprised by the outburst not expecting that SMG3 would proudly say they were dating. He couldn't help but blush and stand closer to his boyfriend. Tari giggles “Aw I'm so happy for you two!”

Meggy nods “Yeah i'm with Tari it's awesome you guys got together, you two get each other so well! Also hard to take your threat seriously when you're so red in the face there 3.” SMG3 glares at Meggy “Shut it squid!”

Mario silently stares at them, it felt like a dream for the plumber to hear those words. After years of knowing them and seeing the two at each other, even seeing the event that happened in a certain igloo, he couldn't believe the day came that finally they were dating. Seeing how close they were standing to each other and holding hands, slowly a huge smile grew on his face along with his mustache “YIPEE!!! Finally Mario knew you two were gay for each other!” He runs hugging the two guardians.

Once Mario set them free the group ran up to SMG3 asking him about his cooking while SMG4 grabbed his camera, as he looked over the footage he noticed he captured a bit of the room SMG3 was staying in. Curious about the magazine in the footage he sneaks into the room while the rest was distracted, picking it up he sees a chapter called ‘How to date your hero’ as go goes over the chapter he felt himself get nervous.

“You can't…a hero and ex villain can never date…it will never work.” As he reads the line out loud he can feel panic rise in him, if SMG3 read this would he leave him?

He shakes his head, he needs to relax there is no way something in a magazine could separate them. He flips through the pages and notices all the notes written in it, he can feel himself panic again. If his boyfriend follows the magazine this intensely, what does that mean for them?

He jumps when he hears yelling outside the castle “MARIO NO!” Then an explosion was heard, without thinking he stuffs the magazine in his pocket and runs out to check on the crew. Once he runs outside he sees a very annoyed SMG3 “Mario i told you to stay away from the construction dynamite!” Meggy checks on Mario before turning to the upset man “Why are you even using dynamite to build a cafe?”

SMG3 rolls his eyes at her grabbing a dynamite “Because it's awesome and clears rubble away faster!” He gives the dynamite a quick kiss then shows the group what he meant. SMG4 couldn't help smiling seeing how happy his partner is, looking over his list of couple challenges he decided to change plans. Instead of focusing on the announcement video, he is going to focus on showing SMG3 how great of a couple they are. What could go wrong?

I am really enjoying the interactions with Vox Machina, its really cool to see how alive this world is, meeting old characters and seeing what they are up to and how they've grown in the past years.

And Percy and Ashton talking was *chefs kiss* The way they were both true to character, the way they both have trauma and are so similar but also have different take-aways from it

Pike's house!!! and Lady Vex'ahlia. I love them!! They feel like very close friends, and Vex missing Keyleth is such a mood and such a fun bit of character building.

Anyway, this soul trip is absolutely wild... like, this is such an interesting challenge and way to achieve this resurrection.

Hi! ♥ I hope you're having a wonderful time wherever you are!! I am here to sing your praises and ask some questions about your writing process! First of all, Witch Ways is such a great piece of writing. Every 5 minutes I'm like [origin character name here] would totally do this! or that's so [origin character], and twirling my hair, giggling like a 13yo with a crush. I can't help but be endlessly amazed at how well you write each character: the way you depict actions, feelings, analogies, etc., like you're aware of what's going on all the time and direct our attention toward the important stuff. It's all very cinematographic and painterly. And that awareness guiding our attention feels like you're shaping scenes with just enough detail, or broad enough strokes, that reading becomes really pleasurable, and not dense at all or like everything is up in the air. It's a perfect balance. Gale, as written by you, is *chef's kiss*. Also, an honorable mention goes to Astarion; your portrayal of him is so on point I'd jump at the opportunity to read anything you write with him in it. Chapter 11 has Astarion pull some emotional 3D chess stuff on Gale to make him open up about his relationship with Echo, and I think that is so ingenious! Another thing I've noticed is that you're really good at knowing when a relationship/character has had enough time in the spotlight and it's time to let other relationships/characters into the picture - all in a very natural and reader-friendly manner. And I'm a baby writer, but I know our characters/plotlines can only be as developed as we are experienced/well-read, in a way. Naturally, I've got some questions and they are as follows: 1) What are some of the things/techniques/approaches that help you with characterization/keeping characters effectively in character? I just feel like, you're so good at reading characters and knowing what they'd do next. Developing that skill probably took you time and effort!!! So, any words of wisdom, book, webpage, or anything to help guide me a bit through the process of acquiring the skill? 2) is there anything that's helped you become a better writer? Especially in terms of developing and maintaining this 360° awareness when you write (they should be doing that with their hands, they should be feeling this but also a bit of that, this is the right amount of [character/relationship], this explanation/description is ok and if I add more to it I risk being insecure/overly preachy, etc.) Thank you so much for sharing your writing!!! ♥

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really am having a great time writing this story and I'm very happy that people are enjoying it. The best general writing advice I can give is simply to stick to it. Don't get hung up on comparing yourself to other people. It can take a long time to find your own voice and it took me personally a long time to realize there isn't one "right" way to write. Writing is hard and you have to try and be kind to yourself. Don't be afraid to make mistakes or to get crit. I cannot tell you how much time I wasted being terrified of showing anyone my writing, when I could have been using that time to grow as a writer.

Specific answers under a cut bc I babbled on for awhile!

1) So for characterization, just play through every possible conversation you can have with a companion/npc. I look up videos for choices that I can't make (like late game evil playthroughs) and I have like a million saves before conversations, events, and areas that I might need to revisit. When I'm looking for a certain reaction (like how does Wyll talk to you if you're mean to him? If you're nice to him?) This is probably why I'm so comfortable writing Astarion, since I romanced him on my first playthrough and I got to see a lot of content for him.

So I load up a conversation with the emotion I'm looking for, and really pay attention to their speech patterns. Then, during writing, I do two passes: the first time I write out what I need from the conversation, then the second time (during editing) I read the conversations out loud and try to see if I can hear it in the character's voice. During this second pass, I change a lot of wording and inflection to better fit how a certain character speaks. Reading dialogue out loud in general is a great idea bc it helps you make sure you're writing in a way that people actually talk.

2) Workshopping helps so much. I majored in English so I had to take a lot of writing classes and just getting another set of eyes on your writing who can tell you "hey this doesn't make sense" or "hey I had to read this twice so it's probably not flowing how you want it to" can really, really help. Since having a ready workshop isn't always possible, writing fanfiction can help in the same way! Really anything that keeps you writing and practicing will keep you developing.

More specifically for picturing scenes, a lot of times I will have to physically do the things I'm writing so I can better see how to describe it. For emotions, I listen to music that evokes the same feeling I'm trying to write out. It sounds weird to say it, but study fiction and the stories you like. Think about why story beats landed how they did or what you'd do differently to flesh something out that you liked, but could have hit better if some things had changed. (I feel like we have all been watching a movie and gone "Why didn't they say/do [this] instead!") Editing is so important, so hard, and so (imo) boring but it is integral to getting the feeling in a scene right. You really can't tell if something is coming off right until you've gone back over it and cut down/filled out the parts you need.

Doing a warm up can help too, especially when the words aren't coming to you right away. Pick a prompt or think of a scene that you're really excited to write and give yourself fifteen minutes to just hammer away at that. In my writing classes, we always did a warm up for the first fifteen minutes of class and it can really help put your brain in the right condition for creating. Another exercise we did in writing class (which might help with the scene awareness) was taking a scene from a movie and writing it out in prose. It can help you pay attention to what movements need to be narrated and how to describe expressions/inflection.

I hope some of this helps! Unsurprisingly, it also helps to write stuff you have fun writing. Even if you think it's a trope or cliche or whatever, who cares! Write what you like. I started both of my big fanfics simply because I couldn't find the ship dynamic I was looking for in the pairings they feature. So if you write what you want to read, chances are there are people in the world also looking for it <3

Yet again, I did my live blogging in my notes app before dumping it here 🙃

Okay. I’m trying to put my thoughts together about episode 4, but this was highly emotional for me from the start.

First off, the way Mew’s instinct was like, “I’m not picking you up if you’re drunk,” when Ray was literally in the middle of a sxicide attempt broke my heart. He thinks he’s a burden and should just ‘leave’ and his ‘emergency contact’s first reaction is to basically treat him as a burden. Like, I’m so glad that Mew realised what was going on, but the fact that this happened and two years later his whole friends group (including Mew) still call him a drunken burden…that hurts my soul.

Khaotung’s performance broke me. That was a scene that was too realistic and a bit triggering. I had to pause the video and have a little cry because I was not emotionally prepared (which is silly because I should have known P’Jojo would call us out).

I think this also explains why Ray will drop everything for Mew; it’s not just because of his feelings, it’s because he promised to always be there, because Mew was there for him when he needed it most.

Oh no. Something feels very wrong that Ray let Mew wear the POOR BOY shirt. No, Ray. That’s for you and only you.

RAY NO. NO KISS MEW. BAD KITTY! THAT’S NOT ALLOWED. Although, at least he’s honest?

I’d like to use this scene as a comparison to Boston and Top, however; Ray was VERY wrong to kiss Mew when he was trying to sleep, but Ray dropped it after Mew warned him off. Boston NEVER backs off when Top tells him no (to the point he manipulated, coerced and gaslit Top into sex - sorry lads, I’m still not gonna blame Top for that completely, but it was a form of assault).

Top. A photobooth? Again?

Okay but Sand telling Ray to open himself up to new music and bands is literally a metaphor for Ray needing to move on. THIS FUCKING SHOW.

Boston, you trying to be careful for your dad’s sake is making me laugh like hell. The shit you get up to and you’re worried about a photo?! (Although I think this sets up a future episode with a photo or sex tape leak.)

Oh, this episode is really showing Top’s nasty side. The thing is, I genuinely believe he was becoming a better person with Mew by his side and Boston has poisoned him right back to being how he was. Ugh. My heart is shattering.

‘I have nothing to hide’ SURE YOU DON’T TOP. WE BELIEVE YOU.

So, Top is into the nose candy. Is it bad that I prefer him on drugs rather than cheating? (Also, is it bad I want them to show Ray doing cocaine? I feel like Khaotung would do a very convincing job.)

Aw, why was the TopMew sexy times cut short? We can see Top, Nick and Boston being nasty but not Mew, Sand or Ray? XD

Ray starting the episode with Mew as his emergency contact and ending it with realising that maybe he needs to move on is perfect and the flow of this episode is just *chef’s kiss*.

Oh this is a long one, it's half an hour long

I forgot to mention this last time, but Jisung's bright orange hair reminded me of Chenle's bright orange hair during Boom. I think it's the same shade.

Ok new situation presented by Haechan: What if someone you loved was involved in a very minor traffic accident? What would you say? Jisung: Was it your fault? Renjun: Are you okay? Jaemin: (1) Are you okay? (2) Do you know the insurance company's phone number? Jaemin once again showing he is the most practical adult ever lol.

Grocery store team still deciding on whether to buy the massive green onion

Apparently green onion parks are a thing??? What?? I want to go???? Are you allowed to chop your green onions from there??

Interesting that there's a small clothing section at the entrance/exit of the supermarket lol
