Okay so it's kinda glossed over often but Danny becoming the Ghost King was kinda a big deal for the greater universe. He's the new king of an entire dimension of the afterlife which makes Jazz and Elle the princesses of the Infinite Realms. Unlike previous kings he doesn't just stick to his plane, but rather he meddles in the living world. In the eyes of the players of the universe that means that getting an alliance with Danny is very valuable. No one wants to be gauche and send wedding alliance paperwork while none of the royal family are open to courting so everyone is watching and waiting.

Not knowing about the intergalactic interdimensional political Damocles sword hanging over her head Jazz moves to Gotham, meets Jason, and starts flirting with him. The day after their first official date Jazz wakes up to 37 letters from potential suitors. Danny woke up to several hundred letters about setting up discussions for marriage alliances. The Justice League is suddenly dealing with a shit ton of envoys from various planets all trying to get to Gotham. Bruce is pissed that his city is being targeted for reasons unknown. Jason is pretty sure that he's going to shoot someone by the end of this. Jazz is considering eloping to Vegas.

I desperately need a fic with a 'fake lovers' trope but where they don't fall in love.

For example

Ginny x Dean

Where Dean x Seamus is the actual ship

But Ginny wants Harry to be jealous, and Dean wants a way to forget about Seamus.

In the end Dean x Seamus start dating after Seamus gets upset and confesses.

Ginny gives up on Harry. Harry realises he likes Ginny after the fact. Maybe they end up together in 6th year, maybe not.

Canon compliant as much as possible but also not at the same time. Iykyk, I don't even know tbh

When will the day come when someone writes a Danny Phantom, Scooby doo, and Shazam (DC Captain Marvel) crossover?

I want to see a story where the mystery gang investigate a string of phantom thief burglaries that turns out to be an actual phantom stealing back their old belongings to resurrect their ancient and evil master from the dead to bring the world to rot, which leads them to Amity park to catch the phantom at their next heist and accidentally catch Danny Phantom instead. Hilarity and shenanigans ensue. Danny Teams up with the Mystery Gang and when the last heist is figured out to happen in Fawcett City in their famous museum district, they set out to catch and stop the phantom.

By the time they get there, signs of the magic/supernatural ritual is taking place and ghosts of all kinds are rising from the ground in Fawcett to wreck havoc. Luckily, Billy Batson, AKA, Captain Marvel just got out of school and ready to help these weird teens kick some evil phantom thief behind.

When it's all over and the day is saved, Danny earns a position as a member of the JL thanks to Captain Marvel vouching for him, and the Scooby Gang are now consultant detectives for the JL whenever needed.

FFXIV Romance Novel Challenge (Cora/Seiryu)

VillainValntine over on Twitter organised an #XIVRomanceCoverChallenge to create a fake front and back cover parodying those romance novels that we all know and love. This is my first entry featuring Cora and Seiryu!

The fake blurb reads as follows: (also in the alt text)

Kinda want this. For the cuteness, for the drama, for the angst. The character exploration.

Like, I doubt Arthur is gonna be any better than Lucius if his son gets a Malfoy pregnant. Arthur is already rather harsh towards Percy in the books for all that I know.

I Can't Remember the Title

I read a synopsis for a book and I cannot remember the title. Does anyone recognize this book? I really want to read it.

It's a historical romance. The heroine was in an unhappy marriage and her husband dies. She does not want a mourning period to interfere with her sister's coming out so she puts him on ice and tells no one. Then his twin brother shows up and reveals that he is the actual duke (?) and his brother stole his title/identity.

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

"A story doesn't need a theme in order to be good" I'm only saying this once but a theme isn't some secret coded message an author weaves into a piece so that your English teacher can talk about Death or Family. A theme is a summary of an idea in the work. If the story is "Susan went grocery shopping and saw a weird bird" then it might have themes like 'birds don't belong in grocery stores' or 'nature is interesting and worth paying attention to' or 'small things can be worth hearing about.' Those could be the themes of the work. It doesn't matter if the author intended them or not, because reading is collaborative and the text gets its meaning from the reader (this is what "death of the author" means).

Every work has themes in it, and not just the ones your teachers made you read in high school. Stories that are bad or clearly not intended to have deep messages still have themes. It is inherent in being a story. All stories have themes, even if those themes are shallow, because stories are sentences connected together for the purpose of expressing ideas, and ideas are all that themes are.
