had a trainwreck of an in person consult for my sleeve tattoo yesterday only made better by the itty bitty yorkie shop dog adoring me and sitting on my lap the whole time.

#also chatting with my partner after ofc i felt so much better tysm chris ♥ #but yeah it was not great #it was supposed to be on friday #but she changed it last minute saying she was too busy can we do it the next day at 5 instead? yeah fine #kinda disappointing she didn't tell me in time to like do smth with friends i was invited to but had to opt out of bc of the consult #but whatever #get there early text her that i'm there. stand out side. in the rain. for 15 minutes. she didn't see the text. she didn't see me outside. #in fact.. she was in the middle of tattooing somebody. the client noticed me after 15 minutes and finally let her know. #she comes over all suspicious like. cracks the door and asks 'who are you?what do you want' #even after i say i have a consultation at 5 she didn't remember it was HER who had the consult. i had to rattle off all the details for her #to finally remember it was HER consult and say 'oh i completely forgot about that' #finally get let in and sit down and. she then spends the next couple minutes profusely apologizing to the other client. saying like #'ohhh im so sorry i completely forgot i had a consult scheduled.... i'll get this over with quick' which. well. :( #finally start going through it. she doesn't remember anything about the tattoo. not that it was a sleeve. not what elements were in it. :( #i wasn't expecting a sketch or anything but. even just having re-read the emails before the consult would have... been nice.... #after she does that she says 'oh we didn't really need an in person consultation' which is also. :( because she suggested it. #i get a whole like 5 minutes to rehash stuff we already went over in emails including her not remembering i'd put down a deposit AND we had #3 sessions scheduled already.... and it needs another 2 sessions which i wish she'd told me about because she's booked so far out my last #session might not be until. may. #i didn't even get to ask any questions! i wanted to ask! like does she use saniderm? (i can't have that on my skin) #does she want other things for a tip than just cash? about Robot Tenma bc I just wanna talk about his design

here's a general size comparison to Ochan

hes not too flashy as I normally would go bc I wanted to lean into the King Atom body so they look related obviously. I kept him in his usual outfit since it works nicely with King Atoms body with the buttons and all

Also, the reason why the robot body is bigger is bc the king Atom body is also a bit taller and I thought it'd be kinda cute if Tenma wanted to keep their sizes relatively the same. Living together with his son for who knows how many years I'd think he'd want to live in a suspended time bubble. Like nothings wrong. (except for...you know...)

Thought maybe Tenma thinks one weakness as a human would be showing or expressiong emotions to some degree. So I figured a completely solid face without expressions would suit the idea. But an overlooked part of the design is that his eyes still give him away. Like, he says nothing but his eyes betray him when things start to boil up

it's v importanT that his eyes are still expressive to some degree when something™ happens!

This isnt supposed to be that long of a post but just some 12 am thinking about a robot design. I'm pretty content with him atm, there's not much I'd want to change. A pretty straightforward and easy to draw design and what more could you ask for??

I just did some counting, and I wonder why I struggle so much with art fight every year, I can never make more than 30 drawings for it during the entire month

I mean just this last two weeks I've made 50~ drawings total, though I guess if you count only the final colored drawings it's more like 15. and I like making cleaner/colored stuff for art fight

I like to block out rough shapes and values before the final drawing so that I have at least a vague idea of what I’m doing lmao

With Star I wanted to focus on movement, and with David I was more concerned about maintaining his silhouette to an extent since it has a sort of “vampiric” feel to it with the collar of his jackets

my first ever animatic- and its gay lawyers. you know how it is.

siblings of mine who will see this! maybe dont watch yet? i know you guys havent seen the full trilogy and i dont wanna spoil it for you- i know i showed aloe the sketch version but thats bc i forgor and it also wasnt super legible so its fine probably.

a little bit of info about the process below, i guess?

this project was a bitch to work on, and yet i somehow made it in less than a month. i drew a rough draft on paper (ft: chibi phoenix and edgeworth lmao) before moving it into clip studio, where i dont have the ability to animate for more than a few seconds, so i drew each picture seperately, with 4 frames per layer, then slapped it into an editing software and cropped it so it was just one frame visible, then slowly matched the frames to the lyrics.

and then i decided "actually i wanna refine this more" and went back into clip studio and refined the sketches a lot more. and then i decided to color it. and that took a while. and then i had to replace each frame in my already edited version (that hadnt been exported yet thank goodness) and then i added subtitles.

this sucked to make but im like. okay with how it turned out tbh. im proud of it i think. i did get better at drawing these two nerds so- thats a plus! they change throughout the animatic because i made this over the course of a few days, and i changed how i was drawing them midway through, but i didnt wanna redraw them for some scenes, so the two frames before the last one look a lil wonky and the last frame doesnt match them at all but like its fine! i had fun and thats what matters.

i did it poorly but i did it. and thats what matters.

honestly this would change very little about them (including names i love them being girlies named Jon n Martin…) but here are some lil headcanons:

they/them lesbian Martin (yeah we’re openly projecting now what of it!!!!!)

Jon n Georgie started transitioning at the same time at uni and when Jon felt like she had to change her name, it was Georgie who assured her that it was ok to remain Jon

HRT did not affect The Voice much for Jon but she owns it and it’s sooooo sexy it’s fucking insane bonkers gorgeous. Martin has written no less than four poems about it (finding one of these in s2 may or may not have greatly softened Jon’s opinion of Martin)

Jon is hit a bit harder by concerns about her appearance after the coma, bc her head got shaved (goodbye beautiful gender-affirming hair) and she’s lost a lot of the weight that defined her figure. She gets angry at herself for even caring and it snowballs into her snapping at Martin at some point, but Martin, who’s Been There w body issues, reassures her as much as they can and takes her on a very nice trip down to Aberdeen to get some clothes other than Basira’s old athleisure wear. and after several hours of Jon being stared at starry-eyed by Martin and being told with soft awe “yeah you look incredible in that” like 500 times, she feels a lot better

bc i cant stop thinking ab himb....

i wrote this very impulsively so. yeah. theres a bit of horny towards the end, but theres also fluffy sweet things

• he learns of you being an artist when you find the time to create bloomic fanart.

• and you got endless showers of praise from him on how good it was (especially if the fanart included Xander)

• he just thinks its so neat. his artistic expression of choice is poetry, so he's not much of an artist when it comes to drawing.

• he can draw some basic flowers, but thats where his talents end.

• no matter your usual art media, buy gold (body safe) paint and paint his scars. kind of like how you paint the cracks of repaired pottery and such? except make it a vulnerable bonding experience.

• he has many scars all around his body from past accidents and gang related violence.

• i feel like he gets really insecure about them sometimes and worries theyll make you think too much about his past

• but seeing you turn them into something golden and beautiful with such ease and affection... gives him a new appreciation for those parts of him.

• he loves it even more when you connect nearby scars like intricate rivers of gold flowing across his body.

• make sure you fill the comfortable silence with lovely soft words of affirmation and kisses every now and then for the best results.

• absolutely call him your golden boy.

• the only issue is that he feels really bad for having to eventually wash them off.

• so take pictures and send them to him for just you two to hold onto ;)

• despite feeling bad about washing them off, he always feels so much better about his scars and body.

• and let him know this is exactly how you see his scars <3

• i feel like during times when you're not able to paint on him because of a late shift or something, he just looks back at the pictures and replays the soft memories for comfort.

• this is more towards the beginning of your relationship with him, when his insecurities about his past bothering you were the worst

• moving on from that, he is the perfect man to reference.

• he would find it so very funny if you ever complained about parts of him that are hard to draw.

• i could imagine just sitting there watching him work out and just... drawing the way his muscles flex and the way his body bends... dear lord those thighs...

• when you first did this, he immediately noticed. he didnt quite have the courage to ask if you were drawing him (after all, forms of art are very personal things)

• but when he sees you're staring at the sketchbook page more than him, he decides to take a break and ask you.

• not because he's getting jealous of the notebook. hes not a jealous person. the curiosity just takes over because the stares mean you're stuck on smthn or you're finished.

• and boy is he beyond flattered. flustered even.

• he's never really... thought much about himself. physically and mentally. so the fact that he's worth being sketched touches his very soul.

• if you're the type of artist who loves gushing over defined shapes and begin to ramble about the shapes that you love about him, his cheeks will be red and he will patiently listen to every word you have to say.

• as weird as it is to listen to someone describe his physical features with such passion, there's something special about the way you talk about it.

• especially if you suddenly realize what you're saying and get flustered.

• he likes feeling like art when its you. he loves the way you map out his body and turn the shapes of him into strokes of graphite poetry.

• .... he wouldnt mind if you drew him suggestively as well... so long as its for your eyes and his eyes only...

• of course there would be teasing about just how much you seem to adore his body, but never in a way that deters you from sketching him more.

• which, knowing Quest, his teasing quickly veers into horny territory. at the very least deep kisses.

• he says he just want to "give you more inspiration" and that "its his job as your muse"

• he definitely develops a fixation on your hands specifically. the way your hands trace his body delicately as if trying to memorize every line of him while making out with him on his lap.

• it absolutely drives him insane.

• the way his large hands encircle your wrist while his fingers press on your palms in bed. or when his fingers tangle with yours. and he can see you looking at it. memorizing every moment of it. of him. of the emotions tied to the image.

• that part he loves the most about your art. the pure emotion of it captured so perfectly

• oh yeah it definitely awakens something in him. especially if he finds you sketching those the next day peacfully at your desk.

• honestly i think you being an artist just changes the way he sees things. in the best of ways.

• he also finds himself massaging your hands absent mindedly while cuddling. and softly kissing them... they work so hard and he wants to take care of them for you.

• he is just so very happy to be your favorite muse.

IDK if this thing I keep hearing about Soap being an artist is canon (bc I don’t actually play any shooter games, including COD, I just like the fanart & HCs) but Shkretart’s recent Ghost art study made me think of the classic “draw me like one of your French girls” AKA for some reason, Soap (who’s already pining over Ghost) convinces his crush to pose nude for him. Maybe things get a lil bit heated (in a sexy way, not an angry way lol)?

it is actually canon! from the original games, soap kept a journal that had sketches in it with his entries, if you’re wondering where that whole thing came from

It’s never been a secret that Soap has a knack for art.

It’s something he’s proud of, always seeking to improve, and it’s hardly unheard of for soldiers to witness him tucked away in his corners on base with a journal, sketchbook, or some other medium scratching away at whatever comes to mind in those moments.

It's no secret, either, that he's talented for someone who claims he "isn't any sort of artist," and it's no secret at all that he has a preference for portraits.

However. However.

Though he isn't ashamed of it in any regard, nor is he any kind of prude, Soap does prefer to keep guarded his anatomy studies. For fear of judgement or something else, he isn’t certain, but they’re kept in a separate journal tucked under his mattress for when the time so comes for him to work on it again.

And currently, Soap’s begun to feel that pull again. A certain fascination, perhaps, is what lures him. Or maybe it’s the big, fat crush he has on his lieutenant.

Either way, he’s found himself unsatisfied with what he’s been able to draw of Ghost—from afar, masked. Clothed in too many layers for Soap to make sense of much.

(A lie. A complete and utter lie. But Soap has unreasonable wants, doesn’t he?)

The thing that sets him off is incredibly pathetic. But it forces Soap to finally muster up the courage to try and warm Ghost up to the idea of being drawn—studied—so Soap supposes he can forgive himself for being so hopeless just this once.

It’s post a sparring match. Soap still loses most rounds against Ghost, but he’d say he’s gotten significantly better in the time they’ve worked together. Even Ghost might say the same, if Soap were so lucky. But it just happens that sparring matches are usually when Ghost tends to wear looser clothing, and when he stretches his arms his shirt rides up, just enough for Soap to catch a glimpse of the cut of his hips, the lines of his abs, his trim waist. He’s known Ghost is fit, but seeing it has Soap itching for his pencil.

The first time he blurts out his idea, Ghost gives him a very firm no. Which isn’t much of a surprise—just asking his superior officer if he’s ever considered posing for someone to draw is a little too forthcoming, especially when it’s the first Soap has ever mentioned anything of it to him.

But then he keeps asking, hinting, persuading, until weeks after the thought strikes Soap, Ghost miraculously agrees to let Soap sketch him.

His body. The curves of strong muscles, the sharp edges of everything else. Long limbs, graceful in spite of the destruction they’re more than capable of. Gentle hands despite their scars, and soft eyes despite the hardened shell of everything Ghost.

Soap is nervous, to say the least. When the day finally comes one unassuming evening, when Soap is led to Ghost’s quarters like it isn’t some big deal.

And maybe it isn’t, but it is for him. So he’s nervous. Beyond unsure.

Ghost is hard to read, more so than usual. He seems almost casual settling into his room, untying his laces and placing his boots neatly aside. Shucking off his hoodie and dropping it unceremoniously on his dresser. Soap watches from the doorway, awkwardly hovering as the door clicks shut behind him.

Suddenly Ghost pauses, glances to Soap with eyebrows raised. He then looks to a spare chair tucked in the corner of the room and gestures vaguely before continuing his undress.

When his mask is unexpectedly tugged off, Soap finds his way to the chair before his knees buckle underneath him. This has to be a mistake.

He’s dreaming, surely. Ghost never agreed and Soap is dreaming and why would he ever get the opportunity to—

��How do you want me, then?” Ghost asks. Soap’s eyes snap to the lieutenant’s.

He’s lost his shirt now, too. Soap isn’t certain why he’s taken aback—it’s exactly what he had asked Ghost to do.

Ghost isn’t looking at him anymore, instead pulling off his trousers and leaving them in a pile with the rest of his clothing.

“Uh,” Soap says rather eloquently, “however, ‘s fine.”

Ghost’s brows are furrowed, his jaw tensed. But he sits on his bed anyway, crossing his legs as he stares curiously at Soap, like the interaction is nothing as he’s expected.

Which is fair. Because Soap had hoped it wouldn’t be like this, either. He feels stilted in his own movements, tearing his eyes away from Ghost to adjust in his seat and open his journal to a blank page.

“We don’t have to do this,” Ghost says—and why’s he asking that?

“That’s meant to be my line, LT,” Soap teases. His face is flushed, he knows it, but he has to summon what courage had got him here in the first place, if this is meant to be any kind of worth it.

Ghost huffs, shifting his position. His legs fall wider, torso lengthening as he straightens his posture a moment before splaying himself more openly, sitting back on his palms.

“Pretend I’m not here,” Soap says. He forces his gaze back on Ghost and clears his throat. “Or don’t. Jus’… don’t feel like you have to pose.”

Ghost nods. It’s awkward for them both as they’re blanketed by silence, but once Soap finally begins copying life onto his page, the tension begins to ease.

By no means is Ghost’s physique something Soap hasn’t drawn before—so it’s simple, tracing out the basic shapes. It’s mindless, and Soap hardly has to spare Ghost a glance.

It’s the marks and spots and scars that cause him issue, as every pencil stroke demands more detail, more accuracy, more studying of Ghost’s figure. What’s presented as is isn’t enough, so on impulse Soap ventures to move closer, to adjust Ghost as he sees comfortably fit.

He stops a tad too close, a hand outstretched and well within Ghost’s space. His journal as been left on the chair, fanned out and face down on the seat.

“Do you mind?” Soap asks quietly.

Ghost peers up at him through his stupidly blond lashes, dark eyes wide yet clouded over with something inscrutable. He shakes his head.

Soap is finally hesitant despite the permission. Ghost’s skin is warm beneath his fingertips. He’s too easy to manoeuvre, for being the man Soap has always known him to be.

But then Soap makes the mistake of looking back into Ghost’s eyes. Makes the mistake of flicking his gaze to Ghost’s exposed lips.

They’re too close, like this. Soap should step away and return to his sketches. He should be maintaining some semblance of composure even in spite of the situation, the circumstances.

But he doesn’t. And he can’t.

Thinking he’d ever survive something like this without breaking was a mistake.

“Johnny?”

With great effort, Soap retracts his hand. “I’m sorry.” He rambles, “I’m sorry. This is—wildly inappropriate, sir, and I never should have—“

Ghost seizes his wrist. Soap doesn't get the time to process anything before Ghost is dragging him close again, pulling Soap down to meet his lips.

Soap falls easily into his lieutenant. They slot together naturally as Ghost moves further back onto the bed for Soap to chase after, suddenly craving the sharp scent of gunpowder and whatever eyeblack Ghost had washed off prior to the entire encounter, suddenly wanting to taste every bit of Ghost's lips, his tongue, his mouth.

Ghost's warmth feels more inviting, now. The solidity of his body seems far less intimidating as it had only as a spectator. It somehow takes less courage to explore every dip and curve with Soap's hands as opposed to his pencil.

Ghost is everything Soap has wanted, here and now. And he hadn’t ever realized Ghost had felt the same.

It’s safe to say that Soap's sketches never get finished that night.

So i decided to repost the original sketches [plus one i thought was appropriate to put with these, since its got a butt i put it under the cut] and delete the cringe original post- since it didn't get any notes anyway- after cleaning them up/adding a block of color behind them [plus me toying with demon wwx's colors] so i hope you enjoy them!! “Clash of Immortals” / COI is an upcoming project I’m super excited about with Demon WWX and Angel LWJ. I use my own version of hell/heaven for this, allowing for lots of fun details and some creatures unique to my universe, including A-Yuan who is a “Garden of Eden” [not drawn yet].

Information i can share!

Demon WWX / Wei Wuxian - Demon type: A black-blue feathered “Captive” or “Fallen” - a type of demon caused by cutting an angel’s ascension short as they are being lifted into the heavens, caused by demons trying to prevent as many new angels from entering heaven as possible. This means originally he was supposed to become an angel, but his line was cut and he was dragged past hell’s gates, causing him to descend instead of ascend once he passed through the gate.

This leaves a nasty scar on his back from the hook used to pull him up [if ascended the hook will disappear harmlessly] and this is why they are also nicknamed "Hook Demons" as they will sometimes even go around with the hook still in their back, just filed down, because they are going through a vital area and can't be fully removed.

Angel LWJ / Lan Wangji - Nearly a white wing, shares a nearly identical wing color to LXC, His is white with minimal jade undertones; he has MANY piercings to compensate his abilities in order to prevent his body from tearing apart. He does however have a unique trait- two of his flight feathers [one on each side] are completely black [I will test this with his design so don't hold me to this]. After his descent heaven is a bit perplexed- they allow this type of movement but LWJ is a very important for heaven’s force of angels, as one of the most powerful.

Fun Facts ;]

When they see each other for the first time as angel/demon they bristle, [in my universe, angels and demons feel wrong when in each other's presence, even if they're very soft and sweet. It'd probably be a good mirror to how LWJ and WWX don't necessarily get along in the actual series when they first meet too.] but then it’s a cheery reunion- LWJ might be somewhat uncomfortable, but WWX tames the sensation more easily as he is nearly unrestrained in power.

Someone comes within 50 feet of A-Yuan and Wei Wuxian sends the person’s heart to their throat just by looking at them despite this being a bad habit he probably shouldn’t use around the "Garden of Eden."*

*original species invented which will be explained better in story, I don't wanna spoil too much

and then we have "BED" HABITS

WWX is aggressive as all hell with everyone else besides his kind [in hell anyway bc he doesn't like everyone's attitude] -not in an intimate way he wouldn't do anything with anyone else- but becomes tame with LWJ, it's like a switch gets flipped. LWJ is the growling demon in bed while WWX is the purring angel, despite their anatomy quite clearly showing otherwise; and let me tell u I love purring demons and growling angels

NO ONE believes him when LWJ says wwx isnt the aggressive one, thinking the demon is tainting their precious second jade despite wwx not having a choice about his demonhood. LWJ be like: we still husbands regardless of who's the more aggressive one anyway. Yes, I’ve just decided we’re still married no extra ceremony required.

Updated Q’s ref material hehe (felt this color for the fur lining of the slippers fit the overall design better)

The sketches on the bottom of the drawing depict a bust of Q with a mildly unamused expression. In the sketch at the bottom-left, he states ‘I don’t really like. absorb… half the things you say tbh’ to which H8 (off-screen) responds ‘PFF- Yeah, wonder why’. In the sketch at the bottom-right, Q says ‘No, I mean. on purpose’. The only response H8 can generate is ‘A.’ as Q continues ‘You’re really just. a broken record, usually’. End ID]
