As a writer who is not participating in kinktober this year, but has a lot of opinions:

This is a gentle reminder that rbs and comments with feedback mean so much to writers. Likes are great, likes are appreciated, but like count isn’t a thing that we look at when we need to feel motivated to write, or need to feel like our writing is appreciated

‘X was such an in-character thing for him to do’ or ‘I really thought abc about the part where xyz’ or even ‘I really liked this’ go miles in motivating writers to pick it back up and continue creating content for you to enjoy, because they know it’s being enjoyed

Sincerely, a semi-writer who has continuously scrolled through rbs on old fics this week while trying to motivate herself to get back into writing by remembering ‘hey, people like my content!’
