I’ve been outlining a fic for a while — a genderbend fix-it mash-up of several different DC continuities — and then I started drawing the genderbent costumes for the characters and I might not ever write the fic but I’m actually really proud of the drawings, so I’m posting them here (at least, the ones that are finished).

I used the same model for all of them, so the proportions would obviously be different.

This is Ricarda Jane Grayson aka Rikki aka Nightwing. I thought that it would make sense for her suit to sort of be designed similar to a leotard — and no, the material on her legs is not sheer, I have seen too many of those designs and they do not make logical sense for a superhero. I did make sure to do my best to include the fingerstripes because FINGERSTRIPES.

This is Jacyn Peyton Wayne (formerly Todd) aka Red Hood. Yes, she is supposed to have an actual red hood, but apparently I can’t draw that, so. I also can’t draw combat boots, so you get... whatever these black blobs are. I tried to keep the design as similar to the comic design as possible.

This is Timothea Jaqueline Wayne (formerly Drake) aka Thea aka Red Robin. I modeled her suit after several different versions of Tim’s suit, but as much as I like the crossed belts across the chest, it doesn’t seem practical for someone with... y’know... boobs. Also, Thea has fingerstripes because she’s definitely a Nightwing fangirl.

This is Duchess Thomas aka Duch aka Signal. I tried to keep her suit as similar to Duke’s as possible, but I struggled in a few places... also it is really hard to draw a symmetrical bat symbol. I think I failed at that here. And everywhere else.

This is Damia Wayne al Ghul aka Batgirl. In my AU, Damia outgrows Robin when she is around 16/17 years old and becomes Batgirl (obviously Babs, Steph, and Cass aren’t Batgirl here because they’re guys in this, which has caused some... complications that I’m dealing with.) I know that the whole reason Tim/Thea became Robin was because Batman/Batwoman needed someone to be Robin and keep him/her from crossing the line, but in this AU, Blythe Wayne aka Batwoman has all her kids and Barbara/Benjamin and Steph/Steve and Kate/Kurt, so on and so forth, to keep her grounded at the time when Damia becomes Batgirl, whereas Batman only had Dick — who wasn’t really speaking to him — and Alfred after Jason died.

So, I’m not sure if I’m even going to write the fic, let alone use this idea, but this is Catherine Wayne (formerly Row) aka Cathy aka Agent C. I had the idea that Cathy could later on become a hero a la Black Widow and call herself Agent C (a la Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter), so I based this suit off of Natasha’s suits in the Marvel movies.

So, that’s all I have right now. I’m working on Batwoman and the Supers currently, and I’ll probably post them sooner or later because I’m actually getting pretty good at drawing the s shield.
