[ fr my last post before i'm gonna be probably off social media for ~1 week bc my screen time is scary😭(read bambi's digital minimalism post) and you should too. i'll be back tho and if u need help u can always ask lol ]

since its the weekend, for the next week i am recommending you to use this one week to the fullest. so here are things u can do and make the next week a "productive" week where get ur stuff manifested. ur most likely gonna manifest everything within a week. actually likely within 3 days but get ur mindset together we arent caring abt time alright <3

tips for my affirming girlies:

-affirm when doing mindless tasks

-whenever u think of the desire, literally saturate ur mind

-repetition!!!!! makes it crazy fast even if ur doubting

-dont waver. stay consistent with new story.

-no need to count # of affirmations or set a timer(but do so if u want)

-its completely okay to think negative thoughts. they have no power. just don't accept them/persist in them bc u know u have ur desire alrdy

-don't worry abt how u word ur affirmations. ur subconcious aint dumb

-affirm while watching youtube vids(sammy's 10 min method)

full credits to blushydior for these (from "how i manifested my dream life with extremely hard circumstances + how you can too") - loop umbrella affirmations throughout the day - at the end of the day affirm: “i kept all my thoughts in check today. i didn’t waver once. my mind is completely saturated with the new story.” - use a bracelet/lockscreen/sticky notes as reminders to affirm/saturate ur mind - do not be consuming any loa info(don't overthink/overcomplicate/question ur ability) -if u doubt, think of life as a blank canvas and u just gotta persist

-u have it or u dont? be consistent and stick to new story and be it

-literally just dwell in ur desired state cuz thats what u identify with from now on

-might not be natural at first and thats normal, don't stress abt that

delet ur social media seriously and just apply. persist honey !! idc if ur doubting or have 0 belief bc its ur reality and u can change it any second. and also take care of ur life in the 3d too. do NOT ever neglect urself ever just for the sake of manifesting.

So just finished watching the ep so review. Spoils ahead:

So the episode was ok to me, solid 6/10 one of the better episodes which since this was supposed to be an "extravagant" ep why does it got better quality than the main eps, idk Viv has her moments like this ep and other eps its a train wreck in writing ect.

Mammon worked on my nerves, from design to his movements, personality ALL of him was annoying, which props for an annoying Villian but its Villian I never want to see back again and he's hinted for some sort of return.

Side tangent: Mammon is like the how many-ith Villian to get a return ep/hint at one. It was 1st cherubs, then dorks, then stella/ice twink, striker/crimson now Mammon & according to the leaked storyboards a ghost guy that tries to talk IMP into off-ing themselves... its a flipping lot and cherubs & dorks seem to be forgotten dispite dorks knowing & having hard evidence they exist, flip Viv chill it with your Villian of the week cos its way too many now.

Anyway, Blitz didn't need to be in this ep besides the flashback. Ozzie got him to talk Fizz out of being Mammon's puppet but ultimately Ozzie spoke him out of it & gave him courage to quit/confront Mammon. Even Blitz being a bodyguard/killing people for Fizz could've been any imp. Blitz is starting to feel like Steven from SU, in every ep even tho the ep doesn't need him/ the episode surrounds topics a wee child shouldn't be in (i.e Lapis trauma dumping on Steven & he a child isn't really equipped to handle that situation).

My fave part of this ep was Ozzie and Fizz. Ya'll I legit prayed Viv wouldn't mess these two up and my prayers were answered. Absolutely a joy these two were. Fizz especially what a darling. Loved that small scenes with him and the deaf imp child, l dont know sign language but it looked genuine animated and was just sweet moments.

From their interactions, Fizz's panic attacks/self doubt felt & were genuine... I felt that as someone that has panic attacks from high stress on my studies/life. It was just handled well. Fizz feeling less than and needing to prove himself from 1. his past 2. his appearance, that accident affected his self image/worth so much (why I felt him forgiving Blitz was too hastily done but I digress) & 3. him doing this Mammon contest still to gain/earn Ozzie's love for him cos Fizz believes Ozzie only sticks around because of this fame Mammon gave Fizz. Ozzie finally saying what he loves about Fizz was lovely, wanted that in the 1st ep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Their song was... I didn't like it BUT the message in it was beautiful. Lastly Fizz saying fuck you to Mammon from the courage/strength Ozzie gave him was a nice send off... also Ozzie saying he loves Fizz ah ngl that made me smile agh I just love them. I want to see them more than the Stolitz show but thats only a wish. Props Viv, you get 1 brownie point not messing this up.

Last findings, the ep was bloated as hell my soul Viv please stop cramming so much in an ep, this one is 30 mins long & yet still felt bloated. Pacing was a motherfuka damn it was bad & the swearing was jarring (its a Viv written ep I don't expect any less but still gonna point it out) and the comedy wasn't so prominent in this ep, Blitz/Mammon gave some comic relief but in the best and worst ways:

The way the VA delivered this line "to be fucked" made me laugh, the line is cringy but the delivery lol gold

Aand Blitz, my soul shut the fuck up & get out this ep. Last ep & this one he said something so agonizingly cringe I pulled my face

The world of HB is legit American hell or earth just painted red since Fizz named all these places in America just "hellified" where his fans come from.

And very last, congratulations Salem glad you got the cathartic send off you deserve from working under Viv, truly fuck you "Mammon" indeed :) also glad they credited you this time.

hi, firstly, i love your art so much!! fengqing make me so weak ;-; secondly, do you have any tips for lack of motivation/fear of failure? like that feeling when drawing seems scary because you’re not sure if it’s going to look the way you want it to or it’s hard to get yourself to produce something just because drawing is difficult?

i think that if you are not motivated to draw, there's no point in forcing yourself just to produce something, because pressuring yourself will just make you stressed. i think you can get more motivation in many ways, but you should just give it time.

for me, even doing something unrelated to drawing can give me motivation/ideas to draw!! for example, if i go shopping and i see some cute outfits, or a nice cafe, or i went somewhere fun with my friends, it will make me want to draw my fav characters doing it too hehe🤭🤭 in any case, you dont have to feel bad about not drawing. not drawing for 6 months can seem long, but its nothing in comparison to all the years that you are alive 🫡🌟

for the avoiding failure part, you can consider that a drawing doesnt ever have to be finished. one secret about drawings is that you can fix them how many times you want and you can spend months on one drawing if you want !!

i think it's the best thing to accept that you will never nail a drawing in one try. if the arm looks wrong then it just looks wrong and you can just draw over it again. if the face looks bad then you can just erase it and redraw from scratch how many times you want. in my case, i will absolute have like 60 layers of sketch before i colour lol

me duplicating my layer and redrawing each part until i get it right (2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2) etc. etc.

you can't fix a thing without putting something down on the canvas first so i say just draw it however. then you can see what looks bad and fix it one by one. just work towards making it look the way you want it to.

i often post a "finished" drawing, and then come back to it months later and redraw some parts and post it again. i just think it's nice to think that you can always decide that you can still work on it!! my drawing is a dear plant that i grew myself by watering it and giving it sunshine over the days. 🌿

for a concrete advice, i would say to look up references even for things that you think you know how to draw.

it gets soso more easy when you stop relying on your brain waves to hallucinate a picture onto the canvas. if you don't know how to draw a hand holding a phone, just google "hand holding a phone stock image" and then copy the position!!

i drew both of these in under 1 minute ↓

seeing the reference pic made it easier to identify where is mistaken, and helps you improve the drawing easily.

it doesn't have to look exactly the same as the ref, but it helps you visualize better.

ALSO!!!! i will never stop recommending "PureRef" to everyone!! (a software to paste all your reference images to have them on your screen while you draw) !! you can move around the little board window and no need for a second monitor 🌟✨

in any case, keeping yourself interested in a lot of things will also make it easier to find reference pictures (by searching more precisely) + have more ideas/inspirations to draw!!

in think overall you should just let let your interests take you where they will.

anyways, you know this like trope (does it even count as one?), where like person A keeps on dreaming / thinking this particular "imaginary" person not knowing that that person actually exist?!? and then they just like run into them at somewhere where there isn't much time to like plan i guess? example, person A is about to miss the last train or something when they just walk past this person and be like, wait a minute, isn't that person who i kept dreaming / thinking about??? :0 and then person B is just confused cause why is person A acting like they've met before ykwim? so like that but it's the scenario where skz members keeps dreaming/ thinking about this person they don't even know existed and then actually running into them one day in a really "rushed" scenario lol

Am I Dreaming?

scenario: he can’t stop thinking about you, and the worst part is, he doesn’t even know if you truly exist. with the number if people he sees everyday, its hard to remember names or faces, but out of nowhere, you appeared in his dreams. weeks have gone by, and you are there every night, a face without a name, without a voice, still, a face that he longs to meet. a face that he longs to memorize and learn more about. a face of someone he thinks would change his life, if you truly exist. for weeks, you are in his dreams, to the point that now wherever he goes, he looks for you. in crowded rooms, in quiet coffee shops, even in the crowds at his concerts, he’s always looking for you. after a few months his hope slowly drifts away, leading him to believe you are simply part of his imagination. one random day, he’s rushing around with the rest of his team, Stray Kids, trying to get through the crowd of fans outside of their show, and back to their hotel. fans swarmed the front doors of the hotel, and they are pushed inside, where you are waiting to simply leave for a meal, which proves to be impossible with the number of screaming fans outside. how you managed to book a room at the same hotel as Stray Kids is a shock to you, but seeing what they are going through right now, you quietly sit in the lobby, not wanting to make them more stressed than they already must be. finally, the group manages to burst through the doors, practically stumbling through the lobby, as the hotel security does their best to keep the fans outside. that’s when he sees you.

Bang Chan

Chan would be counting his children, when he sees you sitting in the lobby. you are reading something on your phone, trying to ignore the curiosity of the commotion that is unfolding right in front of you. he would finish what he needed to do before approaching you, shyness evident in every movement, but confident enough to approach a complete stranger.

“excuse me, im sorry to interrupt you, but have we met before? this may be weird, you just look very familiar…” he would say, trying not to startle you, or make you uncomfortable.

“I dont think we have… im y/n.” you say with a gentle smile.

its the smile that makes him realize you are the person from his dreams. he would introduce himself, and try to have a conversation with you, before being pulled away. before he leaves, he would make sure to get your phone number, saying that he would love to get to know you more over a cup of coffee. i feel like he would want to text you right away, but he waits till a few hours passed before asking for your room number, emphasizing that its not what you think it is, but five minutes later there is a knock at the door, and when you open it, you are greeted with chocolate covered strawberries, and a note that says “surprise, I hope you enjoy, can’t wait to talk with you more”. I think it’s safe to say, you were swept off your feet immediately, even after the rather rushed introductions.

Lee Know

oh goodness, this man is upset. he loves his fans with his entire heart, but after a long day, he wants to simply enjoy a quiet area, reading a book that he has been putting off for a while now. when he stumbles through the door, he keeps his composure very well, though it is evident that he is not in the greatest mood with all of the commotion that he just had to make his way through. he sees you as Chan is doing a head count, making sure that everyone is accounted for, and he simply cannot take his eyes away from you. I don't think he would approach you right away, but when you catch him staring, and give him a smile, he might finally walk over and start talking.

"Im sorry, I don't mean to stare, you just look really familiar."

"That's okay, im y/n"

the two of you would have a very light conversation, mostly him explaining what was happening outside, and what all the commotion is, and then Chan would drag him away. Lee Know would ask the person at the front desk to send chocolates or some sort of dessert to your room, with a note that tells you to meet in a specific area of the lobby to talk some more. hes really not sure what this feeling is, but he simply cannot bring himself to stay away from you. from the first interaction, he wants to talk with you for as long as he possibly can, even if he has to risk getting into trouble.

Changbin

Changbin would simply stop functioning the second he sees you, but contrary to Lee Know, I think he would approach you rather quickly. he knows you are the person he has been dreaming about, but he doesn't want to come off as weird, so he would gently ask if he has met you before.

"excuse me, have we met before?"

"I don't think so, but im y/n! its nice to meet you!"

he wouldn't have too much trouble, and lucky for him, he happened to be wearing a shirt that accentuated his muscles (hehehe hes totally trying to flex without being obvious about it). rather than being dragged away, he would ask why you're in the lobby in the first place, and would offer to escort you wherever you are going. when he finds out you are trying to go get food, he immediately takes you to the concierge to order, and goes on his way, leaving with your number of course.

Hyunjin

Hyunjin gets so nervous omg !! you would catch his eye, and he would just stare at you for a minute trying to connect the dots. when he does, he refuses to make eye contact, though you've already caught him staring. you would probably have to initiate any sort of conversation with him, but once the two of you start talking, he would get even more nervous.

"are you okay? your cheeks are flushed.."

"y-yeah im fine, just feels like we've met before..."

"i don't think we have, but maybe in a past life"

the two of you would start talking about theories about past lives before Chan walks over and pulls Hyunjin out of the conversation. he would ask for your number very shyly, but would spend the rest of the night texting with you about anything and everything (cute !!)

Han

Han completely stops functioning, but unlike Changbin, he wouldnt approach you at all. he would be a nervous wreck the entire time, even after you start a conversation with him, cause honestly you would have to approach him first.

"are you okay? youre staring quite a bit..."

"y-yeah"

"are you sure?"

"y-yeah"

poor baby, he really doesnt know what to do.... Chan has to literally drag him away… once he comes to terms with everything he would probably freak out about not getting your number and totally embarrassing himself… creds to Channie for getting your contact info for him, cause if not he probably would have never had the chance to speak to you again…

Felix

Felix would have no issues walking up to you. he’s sociable, but there’s no doubt that he’s nervous !! he does a fairly good job at hiding it, but the blush that dusts his cheeks, and the shy tone he speaks with totally gives it away…

“hi, i’m so sorry to bother you, but could you tell me your name? i feel like we’ve met before…”

“i don’t believe we have, but im y/n!”

please give him a gentle smile, it’ll warm his heart and calm his nerves a little bit. honestly he might not approach you immediately, as he wouldn’t want to bother you in any way, but once he decides, he sticks to it, and carries out a very gentle conversation, ending up with your number before anyone has the chance to pull him away. 100% sends you some sort of dessert with a super sweet message on it, while texting you for the rest of the night.

Seungmin

when Seungmin sees you, he would be so shocked … like big puppy eyes activated, as he tries to remember where he has seen you before. once he finally makes the connection, he would approach you. on the outside he looks confident, but honestly he’s freaking out on the inside.

“hi, this might sound weird but i think ive seen you before… can you tell me your name?”

“oh, i’m y/n! i don’t think we’ve met before though…”

he would want to get as much information about you in the short time that he has, and wouldn’t have any troubles asking for your number, but as soon as he walks away, his breath becomes heavy like he was holding it the entire time… fake it till you make it right ?

I.N.

sweet baby angel would NOT approach you. he would pull one of his hyungs aside and point you out like “hyung, she’s the girl that’s i’ve been dreaming about!” would do his best not to stare but he just finds you so mesmerizing. whoever he pulled aside would probably be the one to walk up to you first.

“hi, my friend over there thinks he knows you from somewhere … could we get your name by chance?”

“my name? y/n… but why doesn’t he come talk to me if he thinks he knows me?”

with that, his hyung would convince him to go talk to you, and as nervous and shy as he might be, the two of you would hit it off pretty well !! as he gets more comfortable, before being pulled away, he would get your contact info. i think like Chan he would wait a little bit before messaging you, so that he doesn’t come off as weird or anything like that, but the two of you would talk about literally anything and everything for the rest of the night !!

Your Birthday was in just a few weeks, you didn't really plan on doing anything to celebrate, maybe invite Mingyu and all your other friends over but that was it. "OK! I'm thinking the Maldives!" Seungkwan perks, across the table from you "You must've lost your mind Boo Seungkwan" Minghao scoffs, taking a bite of his food. You, Hoshi, Seungkwan, Minghao, Joshua, Wonwoo, And Mingyu were all sitting done at one of the campus's diners, eating your lunches, When Seungkwan started pitching birthday party ideas which you declined, as all of them were either out of your comfort zone or just borderline impossible "Seungkwanie. Let's be reasonable" You chuckle a bit "Besides I dont wanna do anything crazy" Though you tried to get Seungkwan to shut up, his mouth just kept on going, coming up with the wildest plans. "You know, I have a beach house over near Daegu if you guys want to stay there for a few days" Mingyu suddenly speaks up from across the table "YES! OMG YES" Seungkwan basically jumps up from his seat, causing everyone to break into sudden laughter "Are you sure we can use it?" You ask once the laughter had died down "Yeah of course! We dont use it that much anyways" He shrugs and you end up agreeing. You hurry up and finish you lunch before hurrying back to your class with Joshua. On your way back to your class, your phone is blowing up in your back pocket, which you pull out to see a bunch of text from, once again, Jaemin. You don't even bother to look through the thousands of text messages he sent you, you just let out a shaky sigh before pushing your phone back into the pocket of your sweatpants "The dick still bothering you?" Joshua asks "Yeah, he's back at it again for some reason" You shrug walking into your class. "If he keeps bothering you, you can tell us, you know?" Joshua tries to reassure you "Don't worry, he'll stop in a bit. He was like this when we first broke up anyways" You say, taking a sit at you desk, and Joshua doing the same.

You had finally finished all of your classes for the day and was walking home when you spotted a familiar figure in the distance "NINI!" Seungcheol's warm voices calls out and you pick up your pace just the slightest to catch up to Seungcheol "What are you doing here?" You say with a grin once you finally reached him "I dont know, thought I'd stop by" He shrugs and the two of you begin to walk "How are you?" He asks "Good, and you" "Same thing here" He smiles back. The two of you walk until you come across a convenience store "Want anything?" Seungcheol asks, entering the store with you following "Nah, im ok" You reply, taking a seat on one of the plastic green chairs. After a minute or two, Seungcheol comes back with 2 cups of shin ramyeon, water, and chocolate flavored nini's. "Cheol you didnt have to.." Your heart melts as you see all the things the man had brought for you "Its nothing please, You always used to get hungry after studying, so I assumed you would be hungry after all your classes" The man sets all the food on the table and takes a seat across from you before the two of you dig in. "I was wondering, I'm having a birthday party this following week over at Yeongildae beach, and I want you to come" you ask "Yeah, of course, I've been wanting to go the beach anyways". A little bit of excitment tingles through your body, and you can't help but smile a little knowing that you'll be able to hang out the Seungcheol once again. Seungcheol leans back in his chair and you begin to open the box of nini's "Remeber when we went to the beach together?" Seungcheol speaks up. You feel a small sense of nostalgia as you think of the past memories Seungcheol was referencing "How could I forgot, I had so much fun that day" A warm smiles covers your face, as your mind relives the moment "I think I still have the polaroid's we took of our sandcastle" You giggle at the memory of you and Seungcheol struggling to figure out how to work the new polaroid camera you were gifted. Chuckling, Seungcheol nods "And when we got Ice cream but you kept dropping them, we bought like 3 ice cream cones" "I dropped it once" You roll your eyes at Seungcheol's sarcasim and he laughs "God your mom was pissed off though, we got sand all over her car" He shakes his head in amusment remebering how your mother had scolded the two of you "I dont even wanna remember it" you chuckle. "Thanks for inviting me by the way, I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun!"

-------- one week later ---------

After the night, you and Seungcheol stay in touch through text and you continued you life as you would had usually. You were out for lunch with your friends at another restaurant on campus, when you phone went off again. You had a bad feeling about the notification that you had just gotten because, surprise! It was Jaemin. Your expression changed immedatly after reading the text Jaemin had sent you " Y/N I'm outside come out." you immediately whipped your head around and there he was, just standing there with his arms crossed, staring right at you "That son of a bitch." Yunjin mumbled, also noticing him. Your entire friend group turned to look at Jaemin but he didnt seemed bothered "You got to be fucking with me right now.." You let out a sigh "I'll be back" You get up from your seat, feeling the eye's of your friends still on you as you walk out. "Jaemin what the hell are you doing here" You confront him "Why won't you respond, I’ve been texting you all week” Jaemin says, hint of annoyance in his voice “Because I told you I don’t want to see or talk to you ever again, so leave me alone” You roll your eyes and turn around to go back inside but he grabs your wrist “LET GO OF MY, WHAT THE FUCK!” You shriek, immediately pulling your hand away from him. Your friends had rushed out of the restaurant at this point and were all behind you “baby..please just listen to me” he whines “get lost.” Mingyu says in a stern voice “you don’t wanna be with a girl like her! She a fucking whore! I saw her with another guy last week” Jaemin yells at Mingyu, his ears turning red from anger. “ Were you fucking stalking me?” You scoff in disbelief, realizing he was talking about you and Seungcheol at the convenience store. He was about to say something but was cut off by Wonwoo “You fuckin creep, just leave man.”

Jaemin let’s out a rough sigh before storming off, finally leaving you and your friends alone. Mingyu puts his hand on the small of your back, as some sort of comfort you assumed "Yea, im good. That kinda freaked me out though" You let out a shaky chuckle "He's fucking stalking you Y/N, you need to report him to the police" Yunjin speaks up, the others agreeing with her "He'll stop, there's no point. If it does get bad, then i'll report to the police." You say "I'll be fine" Your friends exchange some sort of look before changing the topic to lighten the mood.

You had arrived home and you were backing your bag with Minnie, who was also going to the beach house with you. The plan was to go today, and stay at the beach house and saturday and sunday. You were helping Minnie pick the clothes she wanted to pack when the front door bell rang. "Ill get it" You get Minnie as you rush off to the door "Seungcheol? You're early? You opened the door to see Seungcheol in front of you. He was wearing a white shirt topped with a beige varsity jacket and a pair of light blue jeans "You look nice" He says, ignoring the questioned you had just asked. You were wearing a jean skirt with a navy blue halter tank top with your hair in a claw clip "Thank you, but what are you doing so early" You ask again, moving out of the way so he could enter. "I finished packing early so I thought you wouldnt mind me stopping by early" He shrugs, taking a seat on your couch "Thats fine right?" Seungcheol asks and you nod "Yeah I dont mind, I'm almost done packing, hold on" You rush back to your room to finish packing when the door bell rings again "you gotta be kidding me.." You sigh "I'll get it" Seungcheol calls out from the living room. You hear the door open and hear Seungkwan and Hoshi's excited giggles. "MINNIE, Y/N! LETS GOO EVERYONE"S OUTSIDE" Hoshi's voice booms through your small apartment "ok, you dont have to shout, this is a small ass apartment" You sigh, entering the living room with your bags "I'm so exciteddd!" Minnie chirps, as I shut and lock our apartment door. "I have so much planned" Seungkwan giggles, running over to the van that was parked infront of your apartment complex. "Hi." Mingyu waves to you, a dumb smile playing on his lips "Hi Mingyu" You wave back, Placing your bag in the back of the van. You enter the the van and sit in the middle of the third row, both Seungcheol and Mingyu besides you. Joshua's driving with Seungkwan in the passenger seat and Hoshi, Yunjin, and Minnie in the second row. Minghao and Wonwoo chose to be isolated in the back, probably so they could sleep the entire ride to daegu. "Everybody ready?" Joshua asks and everybody shouts yes before Joshua begin to drive. Seungkwan immediately connects his phone to the aux before blasting music, beginning a karaoke session. You, Minnie, and Yunjin sing Nonsense, Yes, and?, Kill Bill, what makes you beautiful, and so many songs before letting Seungkwan and Hoshi the chance to sing the songs of there choice. You lean back in your seat, sweating just a bit because of how much energy you were putting into your singing "Do you want some water" Seungcheol asks you, noticing your panting state "Omg, yes please" You watch as Seungcheol pulls out a smaller black bag from under his seat and unzips. As your watching him search his bag for a water bottle, something catches you eye "You still have that" You point to the side pocket of the bag which had a slightly beat up cherry keychain hanging from the zipper of the pocket. Seungcheol chuckles once he realizes what you were referring too "You thought I would just throw it out?" He asks, cocking an eyebrow "I dont know, thought you would have lost it by now" You shrug "Here" He hands you a water bottle and you give him a small smile as a thank you before chugging down your water. "Did you get him that?" Mingyu suddenly asks, a werid sound in his voice "Uh yeah, when we were kids I got him that for his birthday" You smile softly, thinking about how happy 7 year old Seungcheol was too get some crappy keychain from you. Mingyu lets out a salty "hm" before looking back to this phone. You go back to singing a bit later and play some Valorant with Wonwoo for a little before you got tired and decided to take a quick nap. "WE'RE HEREE!!”

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!

the comic is cancelled. you probably already assumed that since i havent posted anything about it in a while but yeah the things dead now lol. mainly because i dont care much about omori anymore, the comic sucked, and it was too much effort. i feel kinda bad about leaving you guys in the dark for this long tho, so i thought id go ahead and include all the scrapped stuff for the comic that never got finished

while i was writing the comic i started a google doc that laid out ideas i had for future pages. heres that if you wanna know how the story ends

it was written over several months and (most) things are in order of where they go on the timeline not when i wrote them so it might be a little hard to follow

also some art i never posted

(at least i dont think ive posted the last one)

i quoted not liking this comic as one of the reasons i stopped so let me explain that with a list of things id change about this if i were to remake it (which i wont)

remove the swearing that was so stupid

make omori mute (and probably use sign language)

omori does not express fear or stress in-game, thats sunnys job. quit it

he also does not cry and generally shows emotions (even the big ones) in more subtle ways (which i think i was trying to shift towards later in the doc) idk why he was so emotional all the time

literally everything about how i portrayed omori actually that was all just awful

the panic attack scene is fucking embarrassing i have no clue what i was thinking. im so sorry for writing it like that i did 0 research beforehand

make it shorter why did i think that would work out

id probably just make it a fic, comics take way too much outta me compared to just writing things

it does not need a big epic ending and probably shouldve ended not long after they escaped black space

the romance is horrible but thats the foundation of the comic so idek what id do about that

stop making everyone talk like therapists 24/7

and yeah it has a lot of problems but i still do care about this due to the ammount of effort and love ive put into it, i just cant and dont want to continue it

so yeah thats where this story ends ig. i had a lot of fun along the way, and thank you so much for all the support. bigger thanks to that one sunflower discord server (if you came from there you know which one) for being my main motivation and support throughout this journey. sucks this comic never got to see its full potential but im relieved to finally lay it to rest. the blog will stay up for archival purposes but i will not continue the comic any further obviously. the ask box will remain open if you wanna say anything or if you have a question about the story or whatever. thanks for reading.

do you have any tips on how exactly to practice art? everytime I ask for art advice everyone always says "practice" but idk what to practice first! do you have any strategies for learning how to draw something? do you do excercises? and if so how do they work?and are there any beginner mistakes I should look out for and change specifically?

thank you so much! im ok w answering! i dont want to speak as if i am an expert on how to draw things in general as i am learning as well and definitely am not completely learned, so i might not be the best person to ask since im not very professional w my art as I do it as a hobby (and I can only speak on mostly digital cartoon matters) but i reallly hope to try and help u out even a lil ! im really happy that you’re eager to draw :] I wish you so much luck muwah muwah

i also hated when ppl told me “just practice” and i dont wanna inflict tht on u EITHER LOL but also thats just what i ended up doing for awhile but i tried to find some things to help ^_^

tips for practice: My number one rule is that practices should be challenging but still fun, I know it can get frustrating trying to redraw a pose over and over trying to get it perfect. And over time it rlly is all about muscle memory, the longer you draw the more your eyes will pick out specific shapes in everyday life and convert them into its own vision of them! or at least its good to look at life that way, try to pin point key shapes and stress less on details in practices. after you look at key points, THEN you can go over what you have and draw in and over it to make it more “complete.” To stop practices from getting too stressful I recommend starting out drawing what you want a little more simple looking than ur desired finished product. This helps eliminate the pressure of everything not looking “perfect” and keeps your art more loose and fun. Doing this a few times is gonna get ur brain to recognize patterns in art and how things look/flow in anatomy and such. dont get stuck in ur own head abt perfecting everything to the point you either 1) give up bc ur not at a level capable of it being 100% “perfect” or 2) focus so much on making it perfect that you end up saying the work looks “wonky” or stale in dynamics, So while I do think studies help, don’t get too lost in them. I always practice with media I enjoy too, whether it’s characters or fashion I enjoy.

Strategies learning to draw something: people get mad abt this one but I think tracing reference photos is great. its been awhile but When I tried learning to draw hands better at first I would trace them then put the traced image to the side of the canvas, then try and replicate what my mind saw as its most important angles and aspects. Same for clothing folds/hair/etc! I think it’s maybe not the best idea to trace the ref and use the tracings as is, because you learn more from tracing it then trying to replicate and simplify what u learned into the style you’re working in. Find what shapes you like from them and don’t over detail it. you may have to go by eye and think “what parts of this ref photo should i simplify to fit my style” and for me, its usually adjusting the length of the torso and then the limbs by associations. i dont recommend feeling like u need a reference for every art you make though, its ok to let ur own head try out its own sometimes too while trying to learn this, see if it remembers any call bad from the past referenced sketches! over time ull remember where everything goes more, these days i rarely kick myself to use refs but im sure they still would help to use, but figure drawing simple blobby figure in a bunch of random poses was a big thing i used to do as well to get better at full body art + overall dynamics (still does this). also paying attention to silhouettes is great

Exercises and how they work: I WANNA HELP U SO BAD BUT to be honest, all the works on my blog ARE exercises! i rarely actually do finished pieces, if u scroll thru my posts ull notice most r sketches. i usually just fill up a page and call it “warm ups” then i get attached to some of them, take a few, and just line them up pleasingly on a smaller page, then color them in (or sometimes fix the lines to be more clean too). im not rlly a person who “exercises” to practice, it more so happens from just me drawing a lot for fun as a hobby! but i really should. i will tell u this has humbled me a lil i need to start practicing too 😭 LOL but a good exercise is to look at what ur inspirations do, and study it. Make a collage and write out what you like most abt their styles/what u want to gain from them. For ref Here’s a page I did awhile ago when someone asked me abt my insps:

i also look at fashion magazines and as well as anime figures and take insps from that sometimes with learning cool poses and compositions to convert into my own things

Beginner mistakes to look out for: its hard for me to pin point “mistakes” beginners make, as sometimes we cant avoid all of them or even notice them, progress comes from growing out of old ways. some mistakes are even the foundation of ur future amazing cool style! but i think some things to look out for could be these, from my own old art experiences

Hands were the first thing I learned bc i liked drawing them. I don’t know if that is the best way to go but I think it is smart to practice sooner than later, here is a lil guide thingggyyy wingyyy from awhle ago

i see beginners shy away from drawing signs of age in people, sometimes adding too much detail on an older person in cartoon art makes it look weird, so i try and hit the key markings on ppls faces of age.

Too thin of lines. sometimes its a stylistic choice to use thin lineart, and it can look amazing ! but sometimes it can flatten an image if ur not familiar with its flow. im not saying use thick line art, but more so to keep in mind the weight of ur strokes, adding depth with a thick thin combo of line art can do SO much for the simplest of pieces. heres a visual from a while back when i talked abt my brush + more abt lines:

but if ur desired style is thin lineart that is cool too! tbh it was just harder for me as a beginner

sometimes artists think they need to do full lineart for everything and then hate how it looks compared to the sketch, do not fear i will introduce u to my bff: painting over a sketch, extractinging the lines, then calling it line art. i only do this sometimes but its a fun exercise-ish thing to do in a pinch. example:

finding what shading fits ur art. sometimes ill see ppl starting out who have a style thats very simple, but they use a very detailed rendering process on it. this is not something id ever police of course, art is each persons own choice! And it CAN work. It can be so cute! but sometimes mixing two very contrasting mediums of art can throw off the “put together” look of it. i use to abuse the airbrush tool thinking it made my simple style look super cool and detailed, but looking back on it now those pieces looked a little off, having such a simple style have somewhat more realistic shading. dont get me wrong the ability i see ppl use rendering like that is so insanely talented! but i found cellshading to be a good match for cartoony art like my own. a tip i learned way too late abt that is rather than shading each layer by color picking a darker color, instead use a clipping mask over the entire art (above line art too as I color my lineart) and lasso tool the areas u want shaded + fill it w a saturated purple then set to multiply + lower opacity. also, sometimes coloring can come out chalky looking when u meant for it to be smooth and transitional, i think this comes from overshading and overlighting pieces without reason. pay attention to where the light source is, and focus on making the shaded and lighter areas nice shapes that cover the necessary areas, then u can add additional shading to the smaller details of what should have a casted shadow/light

its good to spice up ur art now rather than later, focusing making ur art pop more w backgrounds will help ur coloring skills look better too! i dont mean detailed huge backgrounds, a small lil color pallet and design rather than a blank white bg. like this will make u feel better abt it or at least it helped me *sweats* yeah:

beginners tend to draw blank faces like “:)” but I think a good thing to do is try and get silly with expressions early on. It’s okay if the mouth hangs off the face cartoonishly with joy or shock, it’s ok if the eyebrows are super high in surprise.

tracing and pasting it as is (already said this but I’ve seen ppl do it a lot with hair styles and it makes it look alienated from the rest of the style) (final fantasy fans found critically injured) n if need a ref for a pose, using a real humans anatomy as-is doesn’t look quite right on a cartoonyish drawing. Shortening torso and legs usually comes out of this for me!

flip ur canvas i promise u it’ll be less embarrassing over time!

using guidelines for perspective and foreshortening is GREAT. Do it stylistically rather than realistically to add some groove to it...yay. Having silly perspective in art can make it look like a 10 so easily opposed to a normal front facing sketch. Look at cool poses from fashion magazines! Don’t be scared to draw something you don’t feel confident in conveying perfectly, this is why progress redraws exist :)

Drawing the hairline b4 u draw the hair is great, it helps u understand where their hair flows from, where it starts and stops, AND prepares u for drawing bald ppl. Also don’t make the head too big, the skull IS bigger up top, but sometimes I see an alien head affect.

Anatomy is an interesting mistake that beginners make a lot, but it’s one they find harder to notice! When I started out, all my art would be SO wonky, but I didn’t even realize it! It still happens today too! specifically though I see beginners struggle with the arms in this department. My advice is to try and measure them out and make sure they don’t go past the knees, and are the same length as each other when Unfolded. asking for criticism is hard but it helped me realize when i would make something bigger/longer than it should have been in my art, and stuck with me being able to go “oh... i see it LOL”

clothing wrinkles- do not over do it! Too many wrinkles and shading can look unpleasant and wirey- like a plastic table cloth all bunched up which isn’t exactly what ppl wear. pay attention to gravity too

yoooo so Ive read that one post about how you work with kids and I was like "omg literally same !" and I was wanting to lyk that even though some kids can be little shits, a lot of the time if youre patient with them, joke with them and, heres a big one, talk to them like theyre friends and not just kids theyll treat you wayyy better. I also know you said you work with first to second graders(at least Im pretty sure you said that) and I work with fourth to fifth graders so there probably is a difference. I thought youd wanna know just in case you needed advice or anything. My question is how has that been going so far? Like are you enjoying it, regretting it, that typa stuff.

( this is a long ass post that is probably too personal but i am honestly not vibing At All so i'm answering this honestly. you do not have to read this message, it is me bitching for several paras. :// </3 )

but i digress!

that is not to say that i dont love working with kids/teaching, but the particular job i work is not...totally within my wheelhouse and is not that fun for me...per say. also, as far as first and second graders go, 1, 2 and kinder are actually the grades that i want to work w/ the most! and are unfortunately the kids i get to work with...sigh...the Least.

my particular position deals mostly with middle school and high school students which is NOT!! what my teaching credential is in btw. so i am suffering, omg. please free uncle nina from high schooler hell.

i also took this job because i weenie hut jr'ed out of taking an Actual Teaching position at a school because i got really nervous ( bc kids in 1st grade have to read A LOT, like without context, they start at the begining of the year reading a level books and have to finish the year reading i level books WHICH IS A LOOOT OF LEVELS )

and that bc ur first year of teaching is the hardest year ( a lot of ppl drop out/quit ) i would fuck up bc idk what i'm doing yet and a bunch of kids would end up behind bc i didn't teach them how to read correctly. like, when i tell you that sitting here in the lounge typing that literally makes me want to cry like...that would Devastate me. :(((

but anyways, i am...trying to be chiller w/ the older kids. bc i came out the gate being Strict ( because no jokes, every other school i worked out the kids had to be HELLA quiet like they could not talk or be rowdy ) but i guess…the school i'm working at is not like that? and a lot of my coworkers...don't press the kids that hard? WHICH!!!

OKAY FUN FACT NO ONE TRAINED ME HAHA!!! they just dropped me in the middle of this goddamn school and were like good luck! so no one gave me insight onto the kids, where the classes were or how they were interacting with them...so...HSLDLSKH SIIIIIGH.

like i said though, i'm trying to chill more with the kids because HOOOOOLY SHIT SOME OF THEM ARE SO MEAN!!!! WHAT THE FUCK OHHHH MY GOD!!!! when i tell you i saw 17 boys on their phones, walked past them 3 times and only took ONE PHONE???? BECAUSE ITS LITERALLY MY FUCKING JOB????? and all 17 boys like twice as tall as me heckled the SHIT out of me??? :'((((

2012 has so much room for character analysis. And analysis in general.

I watched it when It was coming out on tv and have been rewatching it for the past couple months very slowwwllllyyyy. Shshsbbdd

Anyway I'm just getting nna ramble my analysis in your direction.

Starting with Mikey! Par tof the reason people sorta cling to Mikey I think is cuz like, splinter sorta ignores him.

It's this sorta odd thing going on where we have scenes like splinter telling Donnie to act more like Mikey cuz he's thinking to much and it's impeding his abilities cuz he's overthinking. Which, is an attempt to address Donnie's anxiety albeit in not the best way but it sorta worked?

Which means splinter is acknowledging mikeys fighting prowess. And that Mikey not thinking to hard and just doing is a good skill to be able to execute.

But ALSO, we get a scene of when the boys first got their weapons, and splinter tells everyone why they're getting what weapon, and why they'll enjoy it. Except Mikey. Mikey just gets nunchucks. Which, is dead ass the hardest weapon to wield there so what the fuck dude?

And Mikey is, so fuckin smart. His brain just in Canon goes too fast for him to remember words and shit. He's so adhd frfr

But Leo is dead ass the golden child. Like, everyone asked to be leader, cuz they are teen boys, but splints chose Leo cuz "he asked for it" and then instills all his ideals in him! He's treated like he's the best at everything and is expected to be the best at everything AND to care for his brothers. And he can only feels like he doesn't really have a life. Which leads into the whole Leo develops a crush on his half sister while not knowing she's his half sister nonsense.

Donnie is just, he's the smart one. He's stressed all the time, but also a. Fucking simp who is never reprimanded by his dad for how he treats april, which he really should be! Having mindmap of every possible way an interaction could go with her is creepy! And literally stalking her!!!! Donnie's also the one who deals with Timothy and he gets in trouble for it with splints despite not even wanting to be dealing with it himself. It's a mess.

Raph has just, obvious anger issues. And splinter does not address them in a healthy way frequently. It's a lot of, "just breathe" and Raph is just: "I want to punch someone or something yesterday."

OH and splint sets his brothers shoot him with plungers while yelling at him and roah like, has a whole ass panic attack. That manifests aggressively cuz raphs anger oh so obviously comes from anxiety. But splinter like never picks up on that.

2012 splints treats the boys like students more then sons ALOT. But also cares about them enough to do shit like, break brain control cuz he didn't wanna kill them ✌️

I could probably word that better but I'm still a little high on laughing gas rn cuz I just had a dentist appointment.

GIRL the fact that yesterday I was pissed after going on the discord server and seeing someone "being discouraged" because they had been doing the 10k aff challenge and "it was not working" and I was just so pissed. I was about to come to your tumblr and rant about it, but decided not to and then THIS comes up in my feed. That's exactly what I was thinking 😭 EIYPO at its finest.

You don't say affirmations to get something. It's not like you are putting coins (affirmations) into a vending machine (the subconscious) for it to give you a soda (your desire). NO! You say the affirmations to fucking UNDERSTAND that you ALREADY HAVE THE FUCKING SODA IN YOUR HANDS. And you say them so much that you no longer even question it, YOU KNOW THE SODA IS IN YOUR HAND. You're not fucking asking anyone or anything to give you something, waiting until it pleases to poop it out for you. YOU HAVE IT. Periodt. You don't need to check for results. I have a bed, I know there's a bed for me to sleep in every night, I don't keep checking 24/7 to see if the bed is there. I know it is there. I could be out of my house and not see my bed and I'm still AWARE that I have a bed. It'd be fucking STUPID to assume that just because I can't see it in the moment means I don't have it. Same thing happens with whatever it is that we want, our only job is to ACCEPT that we have it and to stop fucking wavering and checking.

ever since i've made that post a couple of months ago i have seen so many posts on both tumblr & twitter indirectly shit talking it? they'll be like "you don't have to say ur affirmations as reminders that's a limiting belief 😡😡" which, first of all, no the fuck it's not. please learn what a limiting belief is. but also, it's kinda just objectively true?

what do we know about manifesting? that the second you want something it already exists in the 4D, that its already yours, that creation is finished, etc. so in the period between it existing in the 4D and it being pushed out in the 3D, you say affirmations (if that's your method of choice). yes, you're saying your affirmations to get it to show up in your 3D, but you are also reminding yourself of what you already have in your 4D. i think these two things can definitely co-exist?

and it's so funny because everyone i've seen make a post attacking the saying that "affirmations are reminders" always say that you can affirm with the intent to get something, you don't have to view your affirmations as reminders. and it's like yeah agreed, but when in my initial post did i ever say you couldn't affirm to get something? if you reread it, i said "you are not saying your affirmations in order to “create” something" which is true!!! and completely different?? yes you affirm to get something in your 3D, but you are not creating anything. creation is finished. you say your affirmations to remind yourself what you already have in your 4D so that you can get it in your 3D. i dont know why it has become an either/or situation. and neither way is "wrong."

when i made that post i thought it would be relieving for some people to hear cuz when i had that realization i was like oh this makes things feel so much more natural and less stressful almost. i didn't expect people to make posts saying i was spreading a limiting belief 😭

another thing i've been kinda wanting to talk about in regards to this is how strange i think it is how weirdly competitive some people seem to get on tumblr? like if i say something that you don't agree with or doesn't resonate with you, i feel like there's no reason to make a post saying im wrong? when im not wrong? idk. like i will debunk actual limiting beliefs all day long if a blog is spreading them, but me saying "affirmations are reminders" is not a limiting belief at all lol. if you don't want to view your affirmations as reminders, then don't fucking do it. but you don't have to make a post about it lol

god this is crazy… totally forgot my advising appointment is tomorrow and now im finally getting around to choosing classes for my (hopefully) last semester. i basically already knew exactly what i wanted to/needed to take but its just really weird to be like. damn. no more opportunity to take the other stuff im also interested in but wasnt able to do yet

i have one class i absolutely Need to graduate whcih is my junior year writing class i already failed once. and very grateful the professor who taught it last time is teaching it bc he was just absolutely made to teach that class even if my struggle with writing plus going through a really stressful time made me fail it. so i know that has to be the focus of my semester and everything else is pretty much optional (could finish my theater or chinese minor but dont need to) and just so i meet minimum creditsso i should try to make them as least time consuming as possible

but the thing is the one other class i Really Really want to take is an archival studies intro class at another local college that im able to take classes at (whcih ive never taken advantage of before!) and its only 2 credits and i need at least 12 to be a full time student which means out of the other classes im interested in ehich are all 3 credits taking 4 whole other classes or two more 3 credit ones plus the huge 6 credit chinese one

and while id love to take chinese again i know that historically those classes end up consuming all my work time for the entire semester..

and also one of the 3 credit ones that im most excited for is a technical production theater class where you have to work 30 hours in the scene shop over the semester. which i love to do but also i know was a lot last time i had to do it (granted it was 50 hours for that last class but)

and that plus having to drive to the archives class and also wanting to do a really good job wrapping stuff up in my last semester at my student workers coop job and also maybe finishing papers for my incomplete fails is like. a lot lol

and thats not even getting into the totally unrealistic stuff ive at least somewhat managed to stop fantasizing about doing with my last semester

unironically i kinda hate how sonic feels and acts in newer media (specifically prime and a bit of idw)

rant/tangent time wooo

note: might be a bit unorganized due to this being on my old azz galaxy s7 edge lol

alright. So i just finished reading the idw sonic comics allll the way up to the the most recent side comic, Scrapnik Island #4.

So like, while reading the main idw comic i kinda felt like.. sonic was just kinda a dick near the end for no reason??? Like yeah hes mostly fine in the beginning but once we get to the point where people put these high expectations on him and hes basically under a lot of pressure (which i understand) but i feel like the way they are characterizing him is just :

"haha sonic doesnt care and acts on inpulse like a dick and doesnt recognize the shit hes done and is basically a little shit lmao he also is just kinda and idiot and seems to forget things on the basis of when it most convient for him !!!"

i didnt really feel much of it in idw until the later chapters, but it started to get prevalent when i was reading these in between me watching Sonic Boom. (The Show, which is my favorite outside of AOSTH.)

Now personally, i think Sonic Boom's charactasation of Sonic is probably the best one we have had in a long while. Although its a comedy, i like how sonic is aware of what's going on and takes into account what his friends are suggesting.

Like the episode where he does something that affects a citizen of the town, (minds going blank on what the towns name is lmao) and when his friends (and the other villagers) let him join the whole "talk about our feelings" club thing,

at first, he opposes the idea of apologizing saying that calling people "people" isnt bad, (ik this was played for jokes it still supports my argument.) they encourage him to recognize that what he did was wrong,, and they tell him to go apologize, and he does, albeit with a bit of "ok fine i admit it pls go away" but atleast he doesnt outright deny it or seem stupid for trying to do so and failing.

Thats my issue with prime, sonic just seems like an oblivious idiot who doesnt recogize how to read the damn room and listen to his friends when it matters most. He acts like a tiny child, which doesnt make sense to me, because hes been through adventures and times similar to this and for most of the newer media they dont wanna recognize sonics shortcomings and upbringings as a character at all??????? Like i think frontiers got it right with the story, and sonic who understood what was going on and stopped every once in a while to smell the roses and help his friends!

But in newer media outside of frontiers, it seems like sonic doesnt know how to smell the fucking roses every once in a while and stop thinking on impulse, like they are making him seem like he only acts on impulse, all the damn time, with no regards of what was or is being said to him or even taking it into account???

Like yes, we fucking get it sonic can sometimes act on impulse when hes in a stressful situation thats what makes him seem real, makes him seem human.

But, when you make him into this douche canoe who acts on inpulse all the time, disregards his friends when it matters most, and casually dissapoints them when ever he feels like it, or when it benefits him (cough cough the picnic scene in prime), i dont think most people would want him to have a good time, which im sure is the reason why most people, including myself, thought sonic deserved that punch from shadow. (who is great in prime btw, was okay in boom too but needed more time to flesh him out outside of 3 eps hes supper immature and i love him lmao) He's a dick. And i dont like him.

So, i hope to god they rewrite sonics character in prime s2 because he was unrionically just a giant fuckin dick instead of a snarky but caring 'anti hero' (like in boom) and that makes me really mad grahhhh

[also side tangent i dont hate prime (lemme make this clear) this whole sonic rant was just me nitpicking how sonic is currently in media outside of frontiers

ALSO ALSO SIDE TANGENT 2 HOW DID THEY FUCK UP SONIC SO BAD BUT GOT SHADOW ALL GOOD AND SHIT????? WHATT???? BRO THEY ARE POLAR OPPOSITE CIRCLE GRAPHS WHICH OVERLAP THEY ARE NOT THAT HARD TO MAKE SOBS INTENTLY]
