Wrote 3k of a hurt/no comfort mcd Lokius fic. This bit is less hurty, so I've picked it to post.

“Mobius, if I don’t make it back, I, uh,” Loki says. “You’ll make it back,” his friend reassures, determined confidence in his voice. “Right, but when I use this thing,” he explains, looking back up into Mobius’ eyes and holding up his time stick, “I might not make it back…” The rest of his words hang in the air as searing horrible pain grips him. His limbs jerk, being pulled in a myriad of directions all at once, stretching him thin into almost nothingness. Things around him blur and whisk by, like flickering through pages of a book. Colours blend into one, a hot white glow burning at his core while his atoms disassemble, shifting through time. He’s pulled away from him, from Mobius. The faint clatter of the time stick he’d been holding hitting the floor rings through the whirlwind within him, tugging at his heart. If only he had a few more seconds, he could’ve told him.

Omg, the way that I have been a fan of Loki since TDW, and then even R*gnar*k I enjoyed at first solely because it was new content after years of waiting for more of the characters. After the hype went down for it being new content I began to see the flaws and it made me sad to see what the characters were reduced to. And then when the Loki series was announced I was so excited about it, Avengers era Loki and all, I thought we were going to get him acting like how he did in TDW or a mix of that and the first Avengers but no. And the fact that I had a hyperfication of Loki for years to the point that my entire family + friends were aware of it, only for it to be pretty much squaahed by the series, which I didn't even finish s1 and only watched 1 scene from s2 cause my brother was watching it and I was walking past him in the living room. It just makes me so sad because I still love Loki but I love his version from 2011-2013. I mean he was more Loki in the surprise Comic-Con thing TH did than he ever was in a series supposedly about his character, but it is not about him at all. Sorry for rambling, I just needed to let this off of my chest. Thank you for being a safe space for people to talk about 2011-2013 Loki era. How I miss the complexoty of his character and his costumes too + TH's more subtle acting work as the character.

I know exactly how you feel. When r*gnar*k came out, I had hope when the movie started but left the cinema with such mixed feelings. On one hand, it was new content, but on the other, it was SO out of character. It made me ask myself 'is getting crumbs of what I cherished worth it, when it is followed by utter disrespect?' And my answer was clear. They blew up Asgard for shock value, when it had enourmous potential. I get that ragnarök is supposed to be the end of everything, but the way they executed it felt so wrong and ungrateful to the story.

For that reason, for the disappointment I felt, I didn't think the series would be worth a watch. I didn't think I'd watch it but I gave the first season a shot this year and didn't even finish it because I was actually disgusted. I wish disney/marvel would just delete it at this point. Like a bad sketch that you crumble up and throw away. Act like it never happened.

We have this saying in Slovak that goes along the lines of 'stop when it's at its best' and I feel like that applies perfectly in this case. The 2011-2013 trilogy was the peak. It will forever be the only story I will accept from them.

Anyways, I hope you have a great day/night wherever you are. Stay away from the series, they don't deserve the access to the story. It's not theirs anymore. They are writing a poor fanfic.

im just so lost half of the time like I feel like we're going in poorly explained circles plot wise. and I would be totally okay w that if I felt like Loki in the show is Loki ??? spoilers for s2 but even when they try to make him behave like Loki it feels like a poorly written fanfic in a sense ??? but I legit cant tell if thats how Loki would behave or not bc the show just jumbled up my idea of him completely. its a classic case of the writers not knowing the character they're writing bc .... this isn't Loki. sure hes had some changes and some differences to make him behave differently but from the first episode of s1 he was just off. and its taiki waiti's fault one hundred percent.

the loki writers felt like they were writing ragnarok loki during his silly moments and not post avengers (all full of rage and vengeful and sad) loki and they just started wrong.

and the fucking self cest. its so out of place and weird and not explained at all ?? especially in season 2 when loki and Sylvie meet up and everyone around them r all like "what a complicated relationship" "thats what happens when u have a relationship w urself" AND NO ONE SEES A PROBLEM W THAT ???? THEY HAVE THE SAME FAMILY ????? their relationship is just annoying and a nuance at this point, because believe it or not: loki truly didn't need a significant other. if him n Sylvie had like a "oh its me but worse in ways" bond that would've been phenomenal. I would've ate it up and wrote essays on the way they would've behaved w each other.

but nooooo.

anyway moral is: the loki show is non-canon loki to me but i continue to watch bc im desperate

Hello! I'm navigating the hell of academia and as im waiting for friends who have the application process figured out to get back to me, why not answer this lovely ask :) thank you for asking me btw i love to give my opinions about stuff :)) under the cut bcs its probably gonna get long... hugs! <3

i mean.., its silly. not to say stupid but like, it very much shows that its a ya novel. i wasnt expecting much, given that i wasnt invested in it since i havent read the books or anything, but its just... silly and cliched. the writing choices are very much in like with ya literature, there werent any surprises or plot twists that i havent foreseen at least a bit in a way, and its a good show to like, semi watch when your brain is foggy and you need sth to rest your brain bcs you dont need extreme brainpower to follow it, or much brain power at all if im honest.

i have absolute beef with the completely insane way that language was butchered, alongside slavic naming conventions. it grates on your brain when youre familiar with it, so thats a minus. on the other hand, i didnt like the worldbuilding around the shu - you choose a fake russia to be the center kinda good guys, and you choose a vaguely mongolian-chinese resembling guys to be the villains. there was no nuance to the racism, and from what i understand, the author is american, so i dont get why theyd even write about these things without bothering to do even basic research. idk if im explaining it well, but that pissed me off.

i like the crows? kaz is hillarious, as are the rest, and all ive been hearing tells me they are the best part of the series. i figured out nina and matthias are also crows, or will become so, so thats cool. love their "priest witchunter falls in love w the witch" story, it very much reminds me of illya kuryakin and napoleon solo from man from unkle, and im a sucker for that. cant wait to see more inej and jesper too, they are literally the most interesting part of the show.

alina is a typical chosen one protagonist, tho her and mal are cute. i liked ben barnes more as prince kaspian. im thinking (and friends told me), that he gets babyfied and uwufied by the fandom, whichis honestly expected. imma browse the fanfics to see if theres sth interesting but im not holding my breath xD hes just... basic wannabe antagonist villain. loki wannabe xD idk.

anyways, it was fun to watch it and to bitch about it, imma do it again when s2 comes out probably, if i dont forget about it by now. its not a very memorable series for me. im more excited for a single episode of tatort saabrücken than i am for this tbh xD but oh well. i'll take whatever holds my attention (broadly speaking) these days :)

Another fantastic event courtesy of the fine folks over at  @tonystarkbingo  !!   I got a blackout plus (28 squares), thanks to four adoptables, and completed all but one of my original squares.    I wrote  27 fanfics/chapters of fanfics (two squares towards the same work) for a total of  23,250 words!

You have nothing to apologise for <3 Thank you so much. There's been so many times I've thought 'oh shit no one likes my writing, its depending too much on the canon, its not interesting enough, its too wordy, I don't use enough short sentences'. I will still think like this, I'm a perfectionist and I get disheartened seeing other fanfics because the words seem to flow so well whereas mine don't.

How I've gotten so many readers but no comments also is a big factor in my insecurities, I'm not giving up on my writing though because primarily its for me, but I hope that people like you out there exist (by that I mean people who enjoy my fics, I am so so sorry you are going through depression)

AU IMAGINE: Everything is the same with episode 3 of Loki...but it’s Darcy and Loki. But could you imagine:

• The bickering between Loki & Darcy while trying to catch a variant

• They sit down together & get to know each other’s past with some flirting on the train

•Loki serenading Darcy in Asgardian

• Loki ends up convincing Darcy to sing with him and they nail a 90s hit because Mobius definitely introduced 90s music to Loki

• Drunk Loki and Darcy smash in the bathroom as a bonus because of all their pent up sexual frustration for each other

• Mobius gets them back at the TVA and makes them have explain what went down when they teleported away to catch a variant and why they failed but they also explain that the TVA is bad

• More could be added to this plot as seen fit

What is left behind

There wasn’t much to say of it The young agent tapped his fingers on his desk out of utter dis-amusement.

He had first come to the TVA on accident well him and his siblings. Yet at this moment he was alone doing the usual degrading desk jockey work. Work that wasn’t meant for him…. He was the oldest. He wasn’t unknown at the TVA either. He was fairly popular for a desk jockey.

However the Agent in question always had a sense of humor that drew people to him. Not that he gave 2 shits. He doesn’t live for the approval of others or even the TVA. He was only here ,because his siblings still were and they hadn’t gotten a way out yet. …and mark him he means YET.

The desk he sat at was fairly boring for a cubicle. Especially as he and his siblings had come to the TVA with limited to no knowledge of Earth stuff. Earth is a rather cocky dimension as it loves to horde the attention. The TVA was annoyingly Earthcentric… which was odd of an office monitoring all of time and space. Earthling looking cubicles. Earthling looking chairs, Human Cartoon looking clock lady, Human magazines.

“Agent L!! Agent L! Your never going to believe this… You know Mobius??” One of the other agents rambled.

“uh Mobius m Mobius? about yay high? Obsessed with himself needs to be the center of attention at all times while still sticking to the goody two shoes perfect Bureaucrat act…. Yeah I know him sanctimonious ass if you ask me…” Agent L rolled his eyes.

“Your never going to believe this but he’s taken a pet Loki variant!” The other agent exclaimed in a loud whisper.

“Come again Charlie? Im really hoping I didn’t hear you right.” Agent L frowned.

“No you heard me right Mobius has a pet Loki variant and I figured you might want to know.” Charlie answered.

“Damn straight I want to know. But more importantly what the hell is Ravonna thinking?… I gotta go talk to her. Thanks for the heads up Charlie.” Agent L tapped him on the shoulder….

“Rennslayer it’s me open up.” Agent L started.

“I figured I should expect a visit from you sooner or later.” Ravonna opened her office door.

“This is a whole new kind of stupid.” Agent L crossed his arms.

“I know.” Ravonna responded

“Then why the hell are you going through with it?” Agent L interrogated.

“I trust Mobius.” Ravonna replied.

“Famous last words…. Mobius is a showboater who wishes he was a jet ski. Yet you trust him to reign in and keep track of a LOKI VARIANT?.” Agent L pursed his lips.

“ I know it must be hard for you but you need to trust me.” Ravonna replied.

“Trust you, Trust Mobius, all whilst nobody trusts us….” Agent L threw his hands up in defeat.

“I get you know him well…. But…” Ravonna started

“But? But ? But what Mobius know his variants and knows him too. Clearly not…. Because if he did he’d know he was barking up the wrong tree.” Agent L questioned.

“You sound like her.” Ravonna chuckled.

“You of all people don’t get to talk about her especially right now….Let me ask you this how do you think he’ll react knowing his Wife dies brutally on the sacred timeline? You think he’ll sit down and be a good little doggie for you to send on fetch missions try again.” Agent L wondered

“If we continue to show and threaten him with reset.”

Ravonna stated calmly.

“Oh? like I did when I found out?” Agent L

Seethed.

“You were a different case younger more reckless…and even then you eventually fell back in line.” Ravonna smiled.

“ Whatever Rennslayer just don’t come bitching to me when he escapes…. And actually don’t come bitching to my siblings either. You and Mobius made the mess you and Mobius can figure it out.” Agent L left slamming Ravennas door.
