Over the past 42 years, Reaganomics has moved over 60,000 factories and nearly 20 million good-paying manufacturing jobs overseas.
It’s cut taxes on billionaires to the point they pay an average 3.4% income tax (when they pay anything at all: Trump, taking in billions, paid $750 a year for almost two decades).
Reagan’s policies destroyed the American union movement and stole $51 trillion from working-class people, putting almost every penny of it into the money bins of the GOP’s morbidly rich patrons.
The MAGA Party (formerly known as Republican Party) serves the interests of their right-wing billionaire donors/owners. The sham SCOTUS is bought and paid for - corrupted by the insane amounts of legalized bribery available since the destructive democracy-killing Citizens United decision.

The Media and Trump: A Dangerous Symbiotic Relationship
Tumblr media
The media and Trump have undeniably played significant roles in shaping the political landscape and the state of democracy. However, their relationship has been far from constructive. In this article, we will explore the reasons behind Trump's reluctance to join debates and the media's failure to challenge him effectively. Both parties have contributed to the erosion of democracy, and it is crucial to address these issues head-on.
The Media's Love for Sensationalism:
The media, like a train wreck, thrives on chaos and sensationalism. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a focus on the negative aspects of humanity, neglecting the importance of highlighting the good. This trend has been decades in the making, with the media capitalizing on the ideal time in history to sow doubt in the minds of the vulnerable and neglected. Government, business, industry, and individuals have all played a role in perpetuating this cycle in the pursuit of power, money, and control.
Wealth Disparity and Questionable Leadership:
It is disheartening to witness the immense wealth disparity in our society, with a small percentage of the population holding more wealth than 90% of Americans. This raises questions about how unqualified, unpatriotic, and questionable individuals have been placed in positions of authority and influence by governments. Both sides of the political spectrum are to blame for this, as Trump himself acknowledged the Republican party's susceptibility to manipulation.
The Power of Ratings:
Trump has tapped into the power of ratings, which has become the lifeblood of media and the root of all evil. While money may be the driving force, it needs the soil of ratings to thrive. The media has inadvertently fueled the rise of Trump and those who aspire to be like him. As long as his antics bring in ratings, the media will continue to air them, perpetuating the cycle of train wrecks. This symbiotic relationship has allowed Trump to make a mockery of everything he touches, further endangering democracy and our way of life.
The Need for Media Course Correction:
The media, in all its forms, could have been a true ally for democracy. However, it has chosen chaos, misinformation, propaganda, disinformation, deception, and manipulation over truth, justice, the rule of law, ethics, and morality. It is disheartening to see that the media has nearly given up on humanity. The urgent question now is whether the media can course correct. Can it challenge those who have declared war on our democracy? Can it stop the ship from sinking, a ship for which it has drilled holes?
A Call for Serious and Adult Conversations:
While getting Trump to the debate stage may provide some entertainment, it is essential to challenge all those who are destroying our country and democracy. Blame falls on both sides, and it is time for a no-nonsense, in-your-face conversation about implementing real change and improving the lives of all citizens. Foolishness will not be tolerated. The media and the American people are ready to meet any challenges head-on. It is time to act, and the choice is yours, America.
Conclusion:
The media and Trump have had a detrimental impact on democracy. Their symbiotic relationship, fueled by sensationalism and ratings, has contributed to the erosion of truth, justice, and ethical journalism. It is crucial for the media to course correct and prioritize the values that underpin a healthy democracy. Only through serious and adult conversations can we address the issues at hand, challenge destructive forces, and implement real change for the betterment of all citizens. The time for action is now.

Why We Need to Ban College Legacy Admissions | Robert Reich
Robert Reich
1 in 6 students at our country’s elite institutions come from the wealthiest 1% of families — but why? It’s not because they’re better students. It’s largely due to legacy admissions.

How to save money if you're living hand to mouth
Let's address the elephant in the room. A middle-class person's nightmare. Bills and more bills. Salary credited? Money debited. What are you left with? The Bare minimum to get you through the month, sometimes just weeks. Thanks to credit cards for saving us on rainy days. So, how can we make our financial situation work for us despite the odds? Let's explore.
Make a budget: You just cannot go on spending money if you don't have a budget made well in advance before the salary hits your account. You will always be in a dilemma that you have enough. The truth is - you always have lesser than what you think you can afford. Make your budget at the end of every month, a week before your salary gets credited. It will save you the decision-making exhaustion when you go shopping or plan that trip. Use Excel and let it do the math for you.
Cut all your expenses first from your budget list, and see if you can manage without them: Thought you can't go without a new pair of jeans? Well, imagine you had no money in your bank a/c. Does your life drastically change if you don't have those jeans? You'll thank yourself at the end of the month. Want to travel for a break every 3 months? Well, have you made a budget for your trip 3 months prior? No? Cut it off. I'm not saying don't take that trip, but you need to plan it better so that you know what you're getting into money-wise. By doing this exercise, you will exactly know what your most important expenses are like groceries to make food at home and not eat outside. Mixing and matching old clothes and not buying that new pair of jeans.
Freeze 10% - 20% of your money every month: Make an FD and just put your money out of your reach. You have to be strict with yourself. You may have to struggle initially but that will become a way of life pretty soon. You will feel more secure financially in hindsight. Rainy days - oh they come unannounced!
Keep looking for avenues to earn more: don't settle for average. Keep looking for a better job or a second source of income. You deserve the best! At the same time, don't get flustered, keep a positive outlook and continue to grind.
Gratitude: Thank the universe for everything you have. Pray for more and pray in the present tense. EG: I am Rich! I have all the luxuries in life! Thank you universe for all the abundance!! It's important to align your reality mentally and emotionally. What you think, feel, and say about yourself actually manifests.
Try these tips and if they don't work for you, try something else. You will learn more about how you function.
All the best,
xoxo

Vandana Wagle from Wagle ki Duniya : Breaking the stereotype of an Ideal Homemaker
Tumblr media
Vandana Wagle is the female lead of the Wagle ki Duniya: Nayi Pedhi Naye Kisse
Wagle ki Duniya is Indian television sitcom on Sab Tv that has captivated several minds. Amidst of the wholly overdramatic serials, this sitcom has some essence of simplicity with a lots of comedy and a show that binds the whole family. The show has several characters that are focused in each new story that lasts from 1 to maximum 5 days(normally stories end in 2-3 episodes). The show has also shown the dilemma of a woman from middleclass family.
Vandana Wagle’s character has several faces. One is of a dedicated mother yet she is not a perfect, flawless mother  She is like a volcano that can abruptly explode on others especially her rebellious naughty son. She tries to be calm and patient and work on her flaws. She wants to improve herself only if it is her mistake.
As a homemaker, her problems seem to be shown very perfectly in the sitcom. She is not an allrounder person still she tries to be one. She always upholds her self-esteem and never gives up before anybody if she is right. Like many mothers, she had made a decision to quit her profession for caring for her children. It was her choice and views her job as a homemaker with a very high self-respect. She in a certain way demands respect and credits for her contributions that the society never gives to a hardworking homemaker. However, in a way to reestablish her profession, she struggles a lot. She wins a cooking competition and from a very young age had a dream to be a chef; however, her attempts of establishing her career in food and catering business flops. She fails, she regrets and she cries. But she never gives up. Finally she has a profession that she enjoys to do.
She has flaws. She is not an ultimately perfect mother. She is selfless but she knows when and what to sacrifice. She has some anger issues that I can conclude, after few episodes having stories that concentrate on her. She tries her best to control her anger. She is extremely emotional and can empathize with other people who need help. She is a woman who can do everything for her family yet demands some time for herself, demands the respect that she deserves.

That’s true for so many people in the middle class, working class, and poor. There was a perhaps a path but if it’s still there, it’s a lot longer and harder.

People want to attain the “American Dream”...a dream that’s history for a vast majority of Americans.  When a family with two incomes can’t afford a decent home, there’s something very wrong.
In the 1970′s a family of six - father, mother and four children - could afford a three bedroom home with only the husband working.  I’m referring to my family and my Dad was a carpenter who also was - guess what - a card-carrying labor union member.
In 1981, Republican President Ronald Reagan fired 11,000 (insane right?) striking air traffic controllers. Replacements from the military, retired air traffic controllers and others crossed the picket lines (labeled “scabs” by union workers).
Republicans, greedy businesses and corporate interests began a smear campaign against unions and union labor. They used Reagan’s union busting tactics as an opportunity to spread propaganda and lies to convince Americans that all union workers were selfish and overpaid and the union “bosses” were corrupt.  Not long after, if union workers went on strike, businesses and corporations brought in scabs to replace them.  This crippled the unions by taking away their bargaining power.
And thus began the destruction of the middle class and the American Dream.  There was a gigantic sucking sound as all the profits and wealth got siphoned off to those at the top and it’s been going for over forty years.
That’s how we all got fucked by the Republicans and the capitalist pigs who to this day still own them.

The World Economic Forum's discourse, titled 'Shaping a Shared Future: Making the Metaverse,' sounds like more nonsense. The affluent will freely travel, leaving the less privileged to use virtual reality headsets to "travel" to the same destinations from their own sofas. "In many ways, it's actually going to create even more distance between those two people." These individuals ought to be sent back to where they belong-hell-because that's where they fit if they don't repent!

Overcoming Unprecedented: A Call to Action for Defending Democracy
Dear Followers and Potential Clients,
I hope this post finds you and yours in good health and high spirits. Today, I write to you with a sense of urgency and a call to action. Our democracy, our rule of law, and our way of life are under threat, and it is imperative that we unite in the face of this unprecedented challenge. I invite you to join me on a journey of enlightenment and empowerment through my SubStack articles, aptly titled "Overcoming Unprecedented."
Tumblr media
In the wake of the recent events surrounding former President Donald Trump, it has become abundantly clear that our democracy is at a crossroads. The incitement of an insurrection, the erosion of trust in our institutions, and the blatant disregard for the principles that our nation was built upon are all alarming signs of a system in crisis. How can a court acknowledge his role in inciting an insurrection, yet allow him to remain on the ballot in 2024? This contradiction demands our attention and action.
The Constitution, a document that has guided our nation for centuries, may at times be open to interpretation. However, when it comes to the threat posed by Trump and his followers, it is unequivocally clear. We cannot allow a man who has shown such disregard for our democracy to continue to hold power. It is our duty as citizens to hold our elected officials accountable and demand that they take action.
But this fight is not just about Trump. It is about the larger forces at play that have allowed him to rise to power and maintain a grip on our political landscape. It is about the corruption, manipulation, and deception that have infiltrated our institutions. It is about the fear that has silenced those who should be standing up for what is right. It is about the erosion of our values and the need to reclaim them.
Through my SubStack articles, I aim to shed light on these issues and provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and action. I will delve into the complexities of our democracy, the flaws in our legal system, and the importance of holding those in power accountable. Together, we will explore the path to overcoming this unprecedented challenge and ensuring a brighter future for our nation.
Tumblr media
I invite you to join me on this journey of enlightenment and empowerment. Together, we can make a difference. Share my articles with your friends, family, and colleagues. Engage in conversations that challenge the status quo and demand accountability. Let us be the voice that speaks truth to power and paves the way for a stronger, more resilient democracy.
In closing, I want to remind you that we, the people, hold the power to shape our future. Just as karma has a way of catching up with those who have aided and comforted the threat to our democracy, we too have the power to hold them accountable. Let us stand together, united in our pursuit of justice, and overcome this unprecedented challenge.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you.
Warm regards,
Tyrone Glover

Uganda Passes Anti-Gay Bill: A Perspective from Africa
It's a jungle out there if you get your information from the mainstream media, let's call them professional perception manipulators and they are relentless in pursuit of their mission to keep us misinformed. What a joke. The world is in the fast lane to the insane asylum, and that's insulting to the asylum. I wonder if I am the only one noticing what is happening in the world today
When I view this situation and apply some critical thinking that has since been long abandoned by today's society, rather let me put it as it is. It seems the West and by that I mean countries influenced by the five eyes agenda, reported by the media they control - America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada - call them what you will, the hypocrites, the bullies on this global sandpit.
Since, I made it a point to not engage with their propaganda, brainwashing machine to hear what the arguments on one side are, these days that's all you going to get. It is completely insane, it is clear manipulation, I am beginning to think that this is intentional to drive a specific agenda.
Let's balance this equation, hopefully, we don't get canceled… .
Recently, Uganda passed an anti-gay bill, and it has sparked a global conversation about human rights, democracy, and respect for individual freedoms. Some have criticized Uganda's decision, while others have supported it, arguing that it is a reflection of the will of the Ugandan people.
As an African, I believe that it is essential to understand the cultural, social, and economic factors that have shaped Uganda's decision. Uganda is a sovereign nation, and its people have spoken. It is not for outsiders to impose their values and beliefs on them. People need to understand that we all people believe what you believe.
Instead, we should engage in constructive dialogue that respects Uganda's sovereignty and allows for a diversity of opinions. We must recognize that democracy is not a one-size-fits-all solution and that different nations may have different approaches to governance and human rights.
Furthermore, it is important to consider the economic and geopolitical context in which Uganda's decision was made. Uganda has recently discovered significant deposits of gold, which could make it one of the richest countries on the continent. In this context, Uganda may be exploring its options for economic and political partnerships that align with its interests and values.
One potential option for Uganda could be to join the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), a group of emerging economies that are challenging the dominance of Western powers in the global arena. By joining the BRICS, Uganda could leverage its natural resources and strategic location to promote its economic and political interests and strengthen its sovereignty. It is time for the BRICS nations to improve trade amongst each other. My observation is that these countries have a lot in common, we might be old fashioned and in my opinion let us be stuck in our old school ways of thinking, we will be fine.
People do not fight over a mathematical equation, example, 2+2=4. I don't recall any nation going to war over this. But nations do go to war over their beliefs. And it is becoming clearer and clearer in my opinion that we have two very different belief systems at play. And hence there can never be any constructive humanity developing talks between these two belief systems. The old way of doing things works just fine for us and if a new technology comes along, we can use the new technology alongside the old one. Is that a crime
However, as South Africans, we have our own local issues to deal with, such as load shedding, the growing mistrust in state institution, the aftermath of the pandemic of which no one seems to want to talk about, while on the ground we are bury our loved ones after dying suddenly and how can we forget the economic instability. We must also recognize that our nation's history and context are different from Uganda's, and we should not impose our views on them. Instead we should applaud them for taking action in a democratic process where 387/389 were in favour of this bill.
Moreover, we must also acknowledge that the US, a nation that often lectures other countries about democracy, has its own issues with its election process and voting systems. Before criticizing other nations for their approach to democracy, the US must investigate its own democracy and address the flaws in its electoral process. Furthermore, we are moving away from using the dollar as the global reserve currency, BRICS is going back to real money, the current system is not working for us. The US can continue printing their money, we will watch from a distance stuck in our old ways.
In conclusion, Uganda's decision to pass an anti-gay bill has sparked a global conversation about democracy, human rights, and sovereignty. As Africans, we must engage in constructive dialogue that respects Uganda's sovereignty and recognizes the economic and geopolitical factors that have shaped its decision. We must also acknowledge that different nations may have different approaches to governance and human rights, and that we should respect people's opinions while promoting diversity and mutual understanding.
