quick sum: dad! jude coming home to being left confused why his girlfriend wont kiss him. maybe a chocolate kiss could solve his worries?

psa🗣️: had not seen dad! jude on the timeline for a minute so i wrote a small fic! this is not my best work so i'm sorry, but I hope you still enjoy ☹️🤍

“hi, my chunky man! you finally woke up,” you cood at your 9-month-old who yawned loudly and rubbed his eyes. he had been asleep since the match started, sleeping all the way through and not once making a sound. he cuddled into your neck as you fixed his loose-fitted jersey and brushed his curls back. he smiled when you repeatedly kissed his cheek and ran your hand across his back.

“someones’ still tired,” you said noticing him yawn again, walking out of his monster's inc themed nursery and into the kitchen where you were preparing the batter for your favorite cookies. you took advantage of his nap and cleaned around the house, playing music softly against the background as you picked up clothes, toys, and dishes lingering around. 

you pulled out a go-squeeze and fed it to zak, who downed it quick. after serving water in his sippy cup, you also put a small handful of the baby puffs and sat him on his toy mat where he watched his dad on the screen being interviewed. “dada!” zak squealed, pointing and made grabbing motions at the tv with his chunky hand. “that's right. dada scored again! can you believe it?” you baby talked watching as he showed you his four front teeth. 

you quickly changed the channel and put on his favorite cartoons, going back to the kitchen and grabbing an ice cream scoop, scoping out small chunks of the dough onto the parchment paper, often looking up to make sure zak was okay. before you put them into the oven, you placed hersey kisses in the middle, popping one, well more than three into your mouth. 

“smells good in here,” jude sighed, smelling the cookies and quickly setting his stuff down by the door. zak bear crawled over to jude, making the two of you laugh at his speed to be held by his dad. jude’s heart warmed at the sight of the small but loose jersey on zak, immediately crouching down and picking up the baby in diapers. 

“scored a goal for you,” jude kissed his forehead, and then felt your hands go around his torso, “and meant it for you,” he said leaning down and giving you a kiss on the lips. “so proud of you handsome,” you squeezed his cheek and went back to the kitchen, hearing the timer go off. “that's it? that’s all i get even after scoring a goal for you?” he joked, zak kicking his feet as jude followed you into the kitchen. 

“baby, you know i'm always proud of you right? plus i’m baking us cookies,” you said in an obvious tone, jude watching you grab the christmas mitten and pull the cookies out of the oven. “you listening to this zak? momma doesn’t love me,” he muttered, tickling his neck and then sides, your baby bursting into laughter. 

you cocked your head to the side at his comment, asking yourself inwardly if he was being serious or not, but knowing he was joking, two can play for two. after putting the cookies on the rack and letting them cool down, you also prepared hot chocolate, also warming up zak’s bottle so he can be feed after he ate his dinner. 

you purposefully had avoided and dodged three of his kisses, either pulling away from his grip, or moving your head to the side, jude giving you a confused glance everytime. you wanted to tease him a bit for the joke he said, but also wanted to prank him by giving him a hershey kiss. it's not that you were trying to ignore him, jude’s kisses felt like heaven, getting lost even if it was a small peck, but it was just a small joke.  

jude was upset, left wondering if he had done or said something before he left. instead of overthinking it like he always did, he played with zak, blowing raspberries into his tummy, and played with the small firefighter toy truck he had, mimicking the sirens and watching as your son died from laughter. 

jude looked over to where you were, frowning as your attention had gazed somewhere else. An hour and a half later, zak was fussy, knowing he wanted to sleep. jude grabbed his bottle and went to his room where he changed him out the jersey and into dinosrour themed pj’s, changing his diaper as well. 

he rocked him slowly, brushing back his curls and humming a small lullaby to sleep. “i hope you know you and your mom are the best things to exist in my life. although she’s mad at me for some reason and acting stubborn with me, i love her and you to death” after placing a small kiss on his chunky cheek, he set him down gently onto his crib. tucking the white bunny under his arm, and pulling the small blanket over his body. 

jude walked back downstairs, rolling his eyes at you. not only did he let his overthinking get the best of him, but he was now annoyed you were refusing to talk to him even after avoiding his kisses. he grabbed the remote and sat on the couch, different scenarios running through his head on why you would be upset with him. 

after scrolling through some comments on his latest post, he heard your voice call for him. “babe come here for a second?” you giggled inside, grabbing a wrapped hershey kiss from the bag, almost bursting into laughter as jude walked in seriously, with crossed arms and with a pout. “what a child” you thought. 

“i think i know why you are upset with me,” you attempted to sound resentful, but jude just nodded for you to continue your explanation. “i think it's due to the fact i haven't let you kiss me…” you looked away dramatically, shaking your head. you caged him into the countertop, jude becoming nervous at your proximity. 

all jude could do was stare confused, “do you want a kiss?” you sighed dramatically, playfully rolling your eyes, watching as a frown appear on his face, now leaning against the counter top. you ran your hands against his chest and then down to his biceps, goosebumps running along his skin as you leaned up. jude became tense for some reason, all of a sudden becoming nervous. 

his lips had parted, lips barely touching his, and you quickly placed the unwrapped chocolate into his mouth, letting out a fit of giggles as he cockily smirked at you. you ran quietly around the kitchen trying to avoid the 6ft tall man who wanted to catch you. when he finally did he grabbed you by the back of your thighs and sat you onto the countertop where you had caged him before. 

“woman? do you not know how worried i was? thinking  i had done something to you?” jude confessed still laughing and catching his breath, pushing back your hair and cupping your cheek. “i was scared you were going to make me sleep on the couch again,” he said, reminding you of the time he pissed you off and you made him sleep downstairs. later tucking back into bed with you.

“so you're not mad at me?” he asked shyly, wanting confirmation you weren't mad or upset with him. “no baby, i was just joking around,” you laughed, hearing a deep chuckle come out his throat. while he continued to cup your cheek, your hands ran along his sides anticipating his next move. “i hope you know that means you owe three kisses,” he said along your lips, kissing your nose. “four after the chocolate i gave you,” you reminded him. “that's right, four kisses you owe me.”

“well what are you waiting for?” you say timidly, becoming intimidated by his strong gaze. “i'm thinking whether you deserve my kisses or not?” he says playfully, observing the way you bite your lip and your hands pulling him closer by his back. “kiss me jude… i know you want it,” you close your eyes, breathing in his still present cologne. 

“that’s right, i do want it.”

his lips brushes against yours, your tummy fluttering at his needy but soft movements, jude’s hand coming from your cheek now to your hip. he tugged you closer, wanting to fill the smallest space that was left, letting a groan at the chocolate taste that remained in your mouth. he licked his lips, pulling away and chuckling at your pout, running his thumb along your now swollen lips.

“your kisses are way better than the chocolate ones.”

Mornings with Abby and your son are always eventful to say the least. Unfortunately for you the both of them are early birds, so any hopes you have for sleeping in are thrown out the window.

Most mornings at 6 on the dot, your son is climbing into your shared bed with Abby. Crushing your limbs with his tiny feet, stepping on your stomachs and weaselling his way in between the two of you for cuddles.

Though his disruption annoys Abby sometimes, you know she appreciates that special time in the morning when the three of you are cuddled up beneath the weighted blankets enveloped in one another’s warmth.

“Momma?” You hear your son call out for Abby and no more than five seconds later you hear her groaning and mumbling.

You’re however taken by surprise when you feel a strong pair of arms grabbing you from the bed and then a fit of giggles coming from your son.

“You really thought we were gonna let you sleep in mommy?” Abby asks as she wraps her arms around your torso and you sleepily groan into her chest.

While Abby gets your sons teeth brushed and face washed, you do your five step morning skincare routine and then settle your hair. Finally once you’re done it’s your turn to take over for Abby while your she readies herself.

After 10 minutes of bargaining with your son on what to make for breakfast, he’s settled for French toast and fruit. While you’re plating up his food, Abby’s making her way downstairs in a hoodie and sweats. You smile as she leans down to kiss your son who’s sitting on a stool, antsy to get his breakfast.

After you place down his little plate and walk around the island to get started on your coffee, you feel Abby’s hands on your waist. She’s holding you against her chest and kissing down your neck causing you to sigh.

“Where’s my breakfast mommy?” You smile at her, and then down at your son who’s engrossed in his fruit salad. You’d never grow tired of mornings like these, happy as ever with the two of them.

when you pull up to the security gate the guard is surprised to see you, but none the less let’s you in and quickly gets in the phone. As you pull up to the mansion you see you mother running out to great you. “My baby! You’re home! I woke up breathing heavily, tears staining my cheeks and Sam shaking me awake. My bottom lip quivered as I looked around, finally taking a deep breath as I recognised where I was and that I was safe.

"You okay, monkey?" Sam asked softly, his eyes showing how concerned he was. I gulped, breath trembling before the tears fell and sobs consumed me. His arms instantly wrapped around me. His hand flattened my hair as I sobbed into his chest. I jumped when a soft thud sounded beside me.

"Ow," Dean exclaimed annoyed. There was a silence filled with my sobs before shuffling made it apparent that Dean was getting out of bed. "Hey," He spoke softly, something he only did for me. The bed shifted slightly and I knew he was sitting behind me, I looked up confused when he stood up again. Sam looked at him confused. "It's wet," Dean shrugged to answer why he stood up but it only made me cry harder.

Sam and Dean bickered slightly as I wept into Sam's shirt. "You couldn't just live with it for two minutes?" Sam asked, hitting Dean's arm with the back of his hand.

"I just woke up, what did you want me to do?" Dean asked sarcastically.

"Be compassionate," Sam spoke through gritted teeth. I could practically hear Dean's eye roll as he groaned. I chuckled softly, moving back from Sam as he looked at me with loving eyes. I forced a smile, my eyebrows twitching as I tried not to cry.

"Alright, come here princess," Dean commented, reaching to pick me up from under my armpits.

"Dean," Sam practically sang his annoyance.

"Shut up," Dean scoffed, holding me close to his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. "Clean the bed," Dean instructed with a smirk as he walked to the table. I giggled as he grinned at me cheekily, sitting me on the table. "What happened? We were doing so well, 4 days without a nightmare," Dean's voice was filled with encouragement. I sniffled as he wiped my eyes. "Was it the same nightmare?" Dean asked softly, he knows just mentioning makes me cry. I nodded softly as my eyes filled. "Oh, baby," He comforted as he pulled me in to hug him. I wrapped my arms around him. He pretended to strain. "Can't breathe," His voice was struggling making me laugh. He chuckled as he pulled back, smiling at me as he moved some hair from my face.

"Keep doing it, monkey, maybe he'll pass out and we'll get some peace and quiet," Sam joked, I laughed as Dean looked at him annoyed. Doing a face Dean calls 'Bitch Face', Sam always tells him off for swearing in front of me but when he isn't around Dean's teaching me as many swear words as he can. I laughed as they bickered again. I smiled happy in the moment. It's times like this when I wish I had been with Sam and Dean my whole life, I've only known them for almost a year but they're everything I've ever dreamed of.

We have the same dad but a different mom. They told me their mom died when they were little and it helped me to bond with them because I knew they understood me. My mom died in a car crash when I was 5, that's what my nightmares are about. I was in the car but got out with just a few scratches. Dean's always saying my scars are cool and he's jealous of them. Sam thinks they make me more interesting. He had to explain it to me but he thinks that it shows character and strength. Sam and Dean have a lot of that. I wish to be like that when I'm older. Just like my big brothers!

People always think I'm one of their kids because of the age gap, Dean likes to tell everyone we're just best friends, and Sam then always says 'She's our sister, don't worry.' It always confused me a little but they say that they'll explain when I'm older. They say that about a lot of things. They say it about why they have guns, what their job is and why we have to move so much. Dean says we're touring America but I don't think that's true.

Their bickering stopped with a final huff from Dean. I chuckled as I watched him roll his eyes before smiling at me. "You know, we still have time," Dean practically sang. I grinned widely knowing exactly what he meant. He helped me off the table, running to grab his blanket while I ran to the couch.

"Dean, she's 10, she's supposed to be sleeping," Sam groaned.

"Hurry up and clean her bed then," Dean snarked back before jumping on the couch. He gave me the blanket, sitting with his legs open waiting for me. I giggled as I wrapped the blanket around myself and sat on the floor between his legs. He instantly started stroking my hair. I hummed happily while he worked the TV to put a random movie on.

We spent the rest of the night watching the movie while Dean braided my hair. He was getting better every day, he liked to joke that Sam was next but it hadn't happened yet. Once Sam finished cleaning my bed, he sat on the floor beside me, hugging me while we watched the movie. Dean was the first to fall asleep. Snoring softly on the couch, Sam and I had a giggle about it before Sam got me ready for bed, he picked out new PJs and helped me clean up.

"It's nearly been a year, have you decided yet?" He asked excitedly. I grinned and chuckled. Sam and Dean have been saying for months that we have to do something special when it's been a whole year since they saved me from my foster parents. They weren't terrible people but I wasn't part of their family. Dean's trying to get me to say I want to go to a waterpark he's been wanting to go to and Sam's telling me that I can choose anything I want. In all honestly, all I want is another day with them. There's nothing I feel like I'm missing out on and there's nothing they wouldn't give me or take me to so there's nothing I really want.

"I just want to be with you," I shrugged, smiling as Sam rolled his eyes playfully.

"Well, of course. We could go anywhere, do anything," Sam prompted hoping to find something I wanted to do. I smiled softly.

"We already go places and we always do fun things." I shrugged but Sam smiled a little sadly.

"Are you happy?" He asked, somehow the question felt easy, simple. I know they struggle to answer it but they're smiling more and more every day.

"Always." I shrugged earning a chuckle from Sam. He smiled at me softly as he moved some hair from my face.

"Let's get you to bed, you can sleep in Dean's," He chuckled cheekily. Scooping me up in his arms before carrying me to Dean's bed. He tucked me in, kissing my head before poking the tip of my nose. "Close your eyes," He whispered. I giggled as I closed my eyes. Sam stroked patterns on my forehead lulling me to sleep as I snuggled in closer to Sam as he sat on the edge of the bed. I smiled, sleep catching up to me as I knew Sam and Dean would chase away any nightmare. Nothing can beat my brothers, they're not scared of anything.

“Momma, can we get the tasty banana bread at the farmer’s market today?” Jack asked as he held your hand and walked alongside you, “I also want the blueberries they sell over there!”

“Mhm, we’ll get everything you want, buddy,” You smiled down at him and swung your hands together, “Daddy said he’ll meet us there, okay?”

“Okay!” Jack beamed brightly at you, “Will we eat lunch at the park?”

“I think daddy has enough time for us to eat lunch at the park, buddy,” You said as Jack nodded in response. Spotting Aaron standing near the entrance, you prompted Jack to spot his father, “Jackers, look, daddy’s there!”

Jack furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to spot Aaron until a smile washed over his face when he did, “Daddy! Daddy!”

Aaron smiled warmly as he welcomed his son in his arms for a hug, “Hey there, buddy. Ready to eat lunch?”

“Uhuh! Momma said we’ll buy the tasty banana bread and blueberries at the farmer’s market today,” Jack giggled as Aaron picked him up, “You like those too, right, daddy?”

“Of course I do,” Aaron smiled and held your waist with his free hand and kissed your temple, “Momma’s always looking out for us, doesn’t she?”

“It’s my favorite job in the world,” You grinned up at Aaron and leaned your head on his shoulder, “Besides being a kindergarten teacher. Don’t tell the kids I said that.”

“Maybe I need a kiss to shut me up,” Aaron looked down at you and laughed as you lightly pushed his shoulder, “Okay, that’s a no then. What do you want for lunch, Hotchners?”

“I want some fish and chips, daddy!” Jack replied as he wrapped his arms around Aaron, “I think momma wants some- daddy, look over there!”

You and Aaron followed Jack’s eyesight that led to a small puppy adoption fair at the middle of the farmer’s market, which caused the two of you to share a look of ‘Oh god, I’m afraid our son’s gonna ask for a puppy and I’m certain we can’t say no’.

“Oh, a puppy adoption fair, that’s cute,” You smiled at Jack and gently pushed his hair out of his face, “We can check it out after lunch?”

Jack pouted and clasped his hands together, “Can we please check them out now? What if they’re all gone after lunch?”

Aaron looked at you for a moment, wherein you nodded with a smile, and took a deep breath while nodding, “Okay, buddy. Let’s go check them out, huh?”

Jack squirmed while he got out of Aaron’s arms and ran over to the holding area of the puppies and screamed in delight as he looked over them.

You looked up at Aaron, whose arm was around your shoulder, while the two of you walked over to Jack, “You know, he’s going to ask for one, right?”

Aaron laughed softly and pulled you closer, “That’s why we have to play good cop and momma today.”

“You know I will literally banish you to the couch, right?” You glared at him and playfully punched his shoulder, “It should be good cop and daddy.”

“Momma, momma! Look at this one!” Jack exclaimed as he pulled you over to the fenced area, “It’s so cute!”

You kneeled alongside Jack and touched the puppy’s nose over the fence, “I hope they all get to go to good homes, don’t you think, baby?”

Jack nodded while smiling as he looked over different puppies, “We can give one a good home, right, momma?”

“Oh Jack, I’m sure we can but,” You looked up at Aaron who was clearly enjoying himself with his arms crossed, “Daddy’s busy with work and I’d be busy with mine, too.”

“Momma, please? Just one,” Jack mumbled as he hugged your torso and looked up at you, “I’ll help in taking care, I promise! Just like Mr. Pritchett’s word of the month: responsibility!”

“You sure there, buddy?” Aaron said as he gave Jack a pat on the head, “Momma might have a hard time if she takes care of the puppy all by herself.”

“I’m sure, daddy!” Jack nodded excitedly while his arms were still attached to you, “I don’t want momma tired, so I’ll help her! Please please please, momma.”

Sighing in defeat and smiling down at Jack, “Mmkay, baby. Let’s go find a puppy now, hm?”

Jack gasped and hugged you even tighter as he ran over to the other side of the fence, “Thank you, momma!”

“Guess it’s good cop and daddy now, huh?” You grinned as you stood next to your husband, “Plus, it’d be nice to teach him some responsibility, I had my first pet at his age.”

“Whatever you say, my love,” Aaron laughed as he pulled you closer by the waist, “We really can’t say no to our son, we’re weak.”

The two of you watched Jack with a smile on your face as he walked over to a puppy that was taking a nap in the corner. “Daddy, momma, look at this one!”

“Oh, I guess he used up all his energy for today,” You laughed as you walked over to him, “We could ask for assistance if you want to see him closer?”

As Jack nodded in response, you waved to a volunteer and smiled as she came over to the three of you, “Hi, my name is Aggie! How can I help you today?”

“Hi there,” You smiled in response as Jack held onto your hand, “My son would like to see that puppy over there if that’s alright?”

“Of course,” Aggie smiled and reached over to gently wake the puppy and gather him in her arms, “Scooby here’s a sweet one, quite shy. His parents were a Siberian Husky and a Golden Retriever, and he’s only 3 months old.”

“Can I hold him?” Jack whispered as his eyes shone bright while looking at the puppy in her arms, “He’s so tiny.”

Aggie nodded and gently handed over Scooby to Jack, who was immediately welcomed with a kiss on the face. Aaron laughed and ruffled up Jack’s hair, “Guess he likes you, buddy.”

Jack giggled in delight as Scooby goes on to give him more kisses, “I think he’s the one, daddy and momma!”

“We’ll take Scooby,” You smiled at Aggie, who went on to grab the papers to be signed, and gave the puppy a pat on the head, “Guess he’s meant to be a Hotchner.”

Aaron smiled and brought the three of you in a hug, “I guess we can take Sundays off to have a morning hike, don’t you think?”

“Yes! Scooby can grow up to be healthy if he goes on one,” Jack smiled as he kissed the puppy’s head, “He’s gonna be my best friend.”

Scooby barks at Jack’s statement and nuzzles up in his arms, which elicited a laugh from you and Aaron. “Oh, buddy, you don’t know how much you can get your daddy and I to never say no to you.”

“My lovely Hotchners,” Aaron grinned and kissed your temple, “Our little growing family.”

~~ Ideas for Carer’s Going Through Burnout ~~

• movie night with a small snack platter / take in that’s more snackish (maybe even feed your bab if you have the energy!)

• show and tell! have your kiddo bring their stuffies (or even other things) and have them introduce them, tell facts about them, or a story about!

• do virtual tours or watch zoo cams with them and ask them some questions about the animals/things they see! or print out any worksheets provided by the organization/for teachers

• tummy time / sensory play! this is a simple but fun time! get a plastic zip block bag and fill it with some paints, buy a tummy time mat, or get some sand for your little one to play with!

• coloring together

. . . burn out can be very hard for us carers! we know more than anything regression isn’t always controllable and that being there for our littles is always our top priority and there’s nothing more that we want to do, so when our energy gets low it tends to stay low because we tend to be hard on ourselves over it! just because our energy is low doesn’t mean you did anything wrong or should be upset because of it, we love seeing our little ones happy especially if we can’t be at the moment, you cheer us up soo much! and to other carers reading this, you’re no less of a carer during your burn outs, take care of yourselves and do your best! 🤍🔅

Au where baby Max is diabetic!

Christian and Toto decided to take their five-year-old Maxy to the Austrian Grand Prix, since he's be able to have Mick and Michael (yes, he's not a coma) around him. They made sure to watch Max's blood sugar levels before they even thought of getting ready, packed snacks, drinks and insulin and watched as Max has a hard time deciding what stuffed friend he wants to take with him.

It's not only Toto's home race (curse his Austrian heighty ass) but also Red Bull's home race, so both teams are giddy with the aspect of a good and fun home race (and the fact that their little chaos named Max would finally be at a race track).

Max, dressed in rubber boots and a raincoat, stands in front of his mountain of fuzzy, furry and round stuffed friends, contemplating what friend has the privilege to come with him. "I don' wanna leave you alone," he pouts while carefully tugging on his shark plush.

Suddenly, he gets picked up and lifted high above the ground, Toto had snug into his room and smiles brightly. "My little Spatz learns how to fly, how wonderful that is!" Both laugh and giggle, their mood could be felt all over the hotel room and the rain couldn't ruin it for them.

"Toto, don't drop him," Christian walks in, dressed in his Red Bull stuff and carrying the "Max Deluxe Bag". "We need him for our strategy, Ferrari might be on our butts and we need our secret weapon."

"Momma!" Max squeals and stretches out his arms towards Christian, the stuffed friend still tightly held. "Papa make me fly! I am bigger than you!"

Yeah, Max is higher up than Christian is tall, but if your husband and wonderful father of the little miracle is around 20 centimetres taller than yourself, it is to no wonder. "Oh, are you? Then I guess you are too big for a tickle kiss. How bad," he sighs dramatically and turns around for effect, only hearing Toto's and Max's shocked gasps in response.

A short moment passes and hurried tiny footsteps rush towards him, small arms holding onto Christian's pants while Toto's arms sneak around his waist. "Not fair," both whine and Christian laughs, heart feeling warm and full of love.

Despite everything that had went wrong or complicated in their lives, Christian and Toto enjoy moments like these in large quantities and qualities, their little ball of energy never seizing to amaze them.

The only thing that breaks the moment is a high-pitched bark and a young dog running towards Max, tongue already all over the boy's face and the happiness in Christian expanding all over to Toto. Yeah, their life together is perfect right now, in their hotel room in Austria, with their sun and dog and their love for one another.

As for headcanons, I would say that Lewis and Max often times get caught making out or just being super toothrottingly cute in private/team intern. They get scolded but never stop, so whenever someone sees them, they'll just ignore them.

With Christian and Toto, it's the same though, just in team principle style (and, to everyone's horror, s lot kinkier). Max always jokes around that Lewis is the vanilla version of Toto while he is the vanilla version of Christian.

Another headcanon is that Max is actually viewed as Christian's and Toto's son, so Lewis was super worried at first when Max and he started dating (all those super protective dads all over the internet didn't help). It was a surprise for him when Toto sank onto his knees and thanked him for finally shutting up their son about how mich he loves him. Max terrorised Toto with his crushing on Lewis while Christian just loves every second of it 😂
