A Post-series Owl House sketchdump. I’m sure to do more in the future as I get used to and memorize the new looks for them (and change it to age them up to go with Amphiba’s 10-year time skip vs TOH’s 5)  but here’s the first. 1. A shortened version of one of my incorrect quotes, Eda normally wouldn’t care about Lumity being intimate but Camila’s orders must be followed or risk her wrath. 2. A joke from a friend of Hooty serving Odalia the divorce papers since he’d give it to her in the worst way possible. 3. You can’t tell me that with the portal still open and weirdness coming through that Mr X wouldn’t’ve been called in to investigate and due to his recent dealings with the Calamity Trio he knows a better way to deal with otherworldly issues. 4. Gus and Vee teaching classes at the Wild Magic Uni seems like a cute idea. Gus has gotten a better understanding of human stuff but he still makes mistakes and Vee is there to fix it. Also Vee dealing with the Earth side of a exchange student program sounds cute.

Sketch: (........I don't uh, usually do these. When drawing)

(Fuelweaver and the lights were different colors from everything else to help it stand out from the tree)

Lineart: (I have only now noticed the branch in the terrorbeak. uh. It doesn't show in the final piece bc the terrros beak is layered on top)

Color: (but no lineart color) (mildly cursed) (half of the lineart has vanished. wonder why.)

Marisa Coulter

CW: nonconsensual medical experimentation, child death - she is intensely manipulative, even managing to leverage some influence over the goddamn church at times. she weaponizes her maternal relationship with her daughter in an effort to control her, and uses “mother’s love” as a way to justify her actions. notable shitty moments include sending magic spy drones after her daughter, torturing enemies for information on the whereabouts of her daughter, drugging her daughter into sleep for weeks to “keep her safe,” and kidnapping/overseeing experiments on other children that involve severing their connection to their souls. - Oh she’s terrible and so complicated. No qualms about doing evils to lots of children (luring poor children off the street to be kidnapped for a soul-splitting experiment that was likely to result in their deaths) But when she realizes the same thing is about to happen to her own child she snaps and stops the experiment. Her daughter hates her. She loves her daughter terribly but knows she is (rightly) hated. She’s allied with the evil church, not because of her beliefs but because the church is politically super powerful. Her daughter comes into her care later in the books and she drops everything to go hide away in the mountains with her daughter to keep her safe. But she also keeps her daughter drugged with a sleeping potion because she knows if her daughter wakes up she will run away. She loves her daughter but it’s in such an absolutely toxic way. The Doctor, Acro / Nikolai Colress

His appearance is based off The Vessel's outfit- which is funny to me, since The Vessel's outfit is inspired by canon Colress' outfit .. except he has more gold on him than white!

Notes:

Though these are his BW2 clothes, the cracked glasses and skin only happen after his battle with the Aspertia Trio, so this is like near the end of BW2, just before the battle at Giant Chasm.

The cracks on his skin are sealed through kintsugi, as it is with his Beheeyem.

Instead of The Vessel's angel wings, Nikolai's tailcoat is inspired by butterfly wings! He ditches the coat most of the time for mobility purposes- his turtleneck underneath has no sleeves.

His gloves are arm-length, and they're meant to conceal the cracks on his skin as well as his stigmata.

His binds on his arms and legs serve the same purpose as they do with The Vessel's- they're meant to keep him together and from breaking completely.

I keep forgetting his height, other than he's shorter than Blur/Blight N and Ghetsis- probably 5'6.
