I know it’s been said but make Zuko’s scar bigger you cowards! It should be at least as big as the hand that put it there.
I painted this digitally in infinite painter. The costume may not be very accurate as I was just referencing a picture of the actor.
[ID:
A messy semi-realistic digital portrait of Zuko as played by Dallas Liu from the Avatar The Last Airbender Live action adaption on Netflix with a much larger scar than displayed in promo pictures, closer to the cartoon’s dimensions. He has a high collar and his hair is tied up in his season one ponytail. He is lit by a yellow light on the side of his face without his burn scar and lit more dimly by a pale blue light on his scar side.

Lead pencil, colored pencil, marker, fineliner pen and white pen on printer paper, 8.5 x 11 inch.
This is a combination that I colored of two shots from the animatic in the most recent Sanders Asides episode, created by @rainydaysketches, @abdillustrates and @breigrace [Tumblr: breigrace] 😊
I started coloring on October 28th and finished earlier today. Sometimes, when I see outlines, I want to color the image in, and that definitely happened when I watched the animatic. I intended to choose between two shots, one closer to the characters and showing less below the table, and one from further away; I chose the latter, and erased Virgil and Roman, who blocked the scene a little bit on either side. Having printed it, however, I decided that I wanted to keep the greater resolution of the closer shot, and simply edited it on top, which also allowed me to include its background. The image that I printed first was helpful as a reference for the lines and to try colors. I usually choose the palette that I will use before coloring, but having chosen some colors, I got impatient to start and decided to choose as I went, after I completed the outline and smoothened the transition where the shots meet. This is partly because most of the coloring in this piece is original to varying degrees, and that’s new for my fanart (the only colors that I chose before are the backgrounds of the portraits that have them). I’ve found that it’s an advantage and a disadvantage, and that it makes the piece more personal: usually, I merely recreate an existing image, but here, I also invented aspects of it; not only the execution, but also some ideas are my own. Some of the materials aren’t, though, so thank you yet again to @caramelartgallery for letting me use her markers, a fineliner pen and a white pen, as well as for helping me to scan the completed piece. Swipe through for the two original shots.

This is Bisan Owda (@wizard_bisan1 on IG), she's a young journalist who's been documenting the daily life in Gaza, Palestine since before October of last year and continues to do so now, as her and her family have been displaced by Israel, her home and workplace destroyed in the bombings. If you don't already follow her, I highly suggest to do so, as she takes interviews from the local people in the refugee camps and provides a fantastic insight into Palestinians as a nation, their culture and the horrors they face under the Israeli apartheid regime in their own land.🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

i'm so, so excited to share this painting with you. i have officially been making art for 20 years, and i thought it would be fun to repaint the first digital work i ever made.
i have wanted to give up art so many times over the years. i'm tremendously proud of myself for sticking with it and improving as much as i have. i hope you're proud of me too! please be sure to zoom in to see all those details i worked so hard on (especially the rhinestones!!). thank you for being with me during my art journey. 20 years, 20 more 🖤

Happy wip Wednesday! I don’t wanna tip my whole hand so here’s just a slice of a Rudy portrait I’m working on in the lead up to roudise week. It’s not near done yet. Probably. I don’t know we’ll see.
I also included the reference (even though I strayed heavily from it) which is a photo by Jennifer Burk and free to use / royalty free on Unsplash. Not trying to say anything about gender here I just needed help properly achieving a child’s features.
This was done on infinite painter as usual with my little blocky portraits.
[ID:
A screenshot of the interface of infinite painter on an iPad screen. The canvas being worked on is a zoomed in portrait of Rudy Stieblitz from Bob’s Burgers done in messy bright colors on a light blue background. A reference photo of a girl with curly red hair is included in a smaller window with the photographer’s name “Jennifer Burk” and “Available for hire” written under the photo.

There's very little I enjoy as much as capturing queer love on film... Especially in a graveyard😍
