Card of the Day!

So, I'm not great with editing/design or with running social media but this is honest work so let's go! Take a deep breath and pick a card. If this is rock bottom, and you're there and still alive, things can no longer get any worse, and it is in that you must find your peace and fucking FINALLY start healing and moving up, after this defeat things can FINALLY start to get better, even if a small bit at time. You've survived the worst, now you live on to see the best start coming.

Card 2 - II of Pentacles

Multitasking. There may be a lot on your plate right now, as you're dealing with lots of things. It's the kind of day where you're in a rush with a long list of tasks to finish, you have to get things done and you wish the day extra hours to accomodate all of that workload. This is also true in a figurative way, you might be having to deal with lots of emotions all over the place. The depiction of this card is literally a juggler:

It's certainly hard to deal with such workload, so if one or two tasks go unfinished today, that's okay, just keep doing your best at it. If this card speaks to you in the emotional sense, dealing with ups and downs or with indecisiveness, the advice is to try and work through said emotions in a healthy way as they come and go. Be it work-wise or emotionally wise, the biggest advice of this card is to set your priorities and work through them in order from the most important to the least. This card can mean a fuckaton of different things depending on your life's context right now and in a collective reading like this it might be hard to tell in which sense it applies to you, but I'll do my best. First of all, are you being unethical, sneaky, or dodgy in any way? If so, the message is simple, stop being a bitch and go look for a ethical way to get what you're going for, seriously. On Divine Energy and How it Manifests

If we consider the fact that all things on this plane and beyond ours have a sort of energetic signature, some being lower or higher than others depending on its placement in the world, we can then know that we ourselves have a sort of energetic signature as well. Objects and places and other things also have an energetic signature that can be more purposeful to not be as high in vibrancy as well as things that have the need to be lower in vibrancy.

As humans, we can intentionally change our energy to be higher or lower in frequency. Just as a disclaimer, however, because there are people who are outside of this community in the New Age world who use vibrations to be a judgment involving morals and policing others to oblige to the world and how they see it. This is not whether or not something is moralistically superior or how far people are indoctrinated into their way of thinking. That’s not where we’re going here.

The term “vibration” is only being used as a measure of energy and not how superior something is or worthy of being brought to the Gods.

However, it is more often the case that using energy to describe things is because all things are made with energy and therefore all beings are also associated with using energy including the Gods. Similar to how when you walk into a room and suddenly have a feeling that is associated with it, you’ll find that the Gods also have feelings associated with Them which has no basis in morals or standards or stereotypes.

Now that that’s out of the way, in this post, I am using vibration as a way to illustrate how we go about connecting to the Gods and what we use to connect with Them in order to have the best way of manifesting Them within our homes and spaces.

What to look out for if you are seeking a channel from a practitioner and how to tell if they are really channeling or not?

To get an idea of what full body trance possession can actually look like reading, researching and looking for videos on how certain traditions handle this. ATR’s; like voudon with the Lwa and Yoruba practitioners with the Orisha, as well as shamanic practices esp in East Asia can be helpful to research and read about- look for videos on to see what an actually full body trace possession can look like. Some deities will behave differently though for example the northern tradition deities can do trance possession a bit differently. So if looking to understand this more those places are good to look at. But different traditions have different ways of getting into these states as well.

So there is not exactly a sure fire way to tell ( if they are really channeling or not)- especially  for beginners and/or if you are not viewing them either live or seeing them in person. Most often it comes down to how well you can sense the energies; if someone is truly channeling (deity level beings)(especially live) then deity or deity level beings energy can be felt through the person channeling if they are truly present. It’s a feeling and a magnitude (this also depends on how much the person is letting the entity "take over" but you should still be able to feel and sense( assuming you can energy work basics and your sense are somewhat open at basic level) - when a deity is truly present. With other spirits and thoughtforms it may be less obvious but deities/god-level beings have an obvious energy to them. This is if the channel is done live, not through like written form etc. Also listening to your (gut) instinct as a client is helpful.

It is commonly believed among layman due to Hollywood etc. that a persons voice, physical appearance or character must change. Sometimes the voice can change and sometimes the energetic overlay can be seen like in the hosts eyes for example. This is not a common phenomenon though and it depends on the host, the spirit and a variety of factors in between. Just because a host may not do this, does not mean they are not legitimately trance possession channeling- it is more likely at this level; that it may happen though. But often it does not happen and I myself have only witnessed one host have these phenomena physically in their channelings. Just because the voice may not change, or the eyes or energy body does not have a strongly almost physically present overlay; does not mean that the person is not legitimately channeling. So it is not a great way to tell the veracity or credibility of a channeling.

Another hint to help with discernment as a client is to do some background research on your channeler as it will give you a clearer picture. Some questions to ask of the channeler/host may be; Do they connect and have a good recent working relationship with the entities/deities or types of energies/entities you are trying to connect to? Do they ask permission of the entities first? What is the channelers record like? Any client testimonials? What do they mean when they say channel ( to make sure you are on the same page)?  You can also ask the person to explain how they channel- it doesn’t need every detail but a basic explanation of what is going on is good. Sometimes someone may be oathbound or some other legitimate reason, so check that to in regards if they don’t explain how they channel. If they cannot explain how it is done - then it is not likely legitimate. The act of someone channeling for a client it also involves trust and kind of “faith” on the part of the client- or suspending disbelief at least while the channel is going on.

It is also a good idea on the part of a client to ask the being/s for permission or if it okay to have them be channeled- sometimes the being may not want to be channeled. Also asking the being/s you want to be channeled; to guide you to someone who legitimately channels them (or beings/energies like them if "lesser"/unknown spirits) is also helpful and that They are happy to be channeled by is also helpful. If you know the being - you can read the energy of the person and see if it lines up. Also is the channeled/host telling you what you( ego/personality self) wants to hear? (not necessarily a good thing to have happen) Does it sound very (for lack of a better way of explaining) human ego focused?

Something to note though; if you were to try a “trick” question- ie something you know the entity knows but the host should not. A caveat with this is that - sometimes a person is not great at getting their ego out of the way and so what is " able" to be channeled or come through- can often depend on what the person themselves knows, ie because the conscious mind does not know the information. Then the spirit channeling through them is not able to convey through the person/host's energy what they want to say. This also depends upon how deep in trance the person is, how much the entity has chosen to “take over” and how much the host are able to let go.  This isn’t that uncommon either- as channeling an entity and allowing them to speak through you (and if using full body channeling) requires a great deal of trust (of both the person and the entity)- sometimes there are shadows, traumas, triggers or blocks in the persons/hosts system that does not allow them to let go – so it requires more effort. This does not mean the person is not channeling the being though. Since you as a client do not know what is going on internally them this isn’t a very helpful way to tell. So for this last part I wouldn't recommend using this method for discerning necessarily. Overall It is often more reliable to read the energy. I would also look at how you feel after the channel and whether it has helped you. if it has then I wouldn't say this question is so much of an issue. And if you can commune with the being who is channeled anyway- then you can check things in your own time as well.
