Today is the day of the funeral so I won't be on as much...

Below are some pictures I took at the wake yesterday (1/2/2024) for anyone who is curious...

He was a veteran, loving father/grandfather/Great grandfather, and above all else... He gave out three peppermints to people with a smile on his face and goodness in his heart ❤️

Yes, my grandfather is... Was a veteran. He will get a veterans funeral today with the gun salute and all.

Not every veteran gets this privilege and it is sad 😭

My children even started to cry when they realized he was gone... (Until everyone showed up then it was like they were on sugar crack 🤣) but they livened things up for a while till we had to go home... Even the funeral directors appreciated my children's lively attitude.

If you're wondering why he gave out ONLY 3 peppermints well, he was a Christian man who gave out the peppermints as a reference to the Father, the son, and the holy Ghost... With the white representing purity and the red representing his blood. Don't worry, he never pushed his belief on anyone as he believed God was the only judge... and if you believed what you believed then God should judge you for what you believe, if that makes sense. As long as you are a good person then you had no problems with him.

He only wished kindness and good faith for people~ everyone in the community called him "The Candy Man" (in a good way).

And he only gave the candy to adults as he wanted to teach children never to accept candy from strangers, only your parents as the parents are to be responsible for their children.

If you have read this far I appreciate your time and I will try to be on tomorrow (1/4/2024) in the afternoon... I just didn't want y'all to worry and keep you updated without upsetting y'all. It is a sad time for me and my family BUT it is also joyful... He is home and no longer in pain.

and how he knew when she strapped that bomb to herself in Batman (2016) #100 that he had to go after her because she was going let herself die in an attempt to end Joker's rampage for good but that she refused to physically do it because he didn't want to her Kill him and he told her that so she's found a middle ground

"We don't need to end it this way. He needs to be locked back up."

that she'd rather die than keep living with his presence in the world haunting her, haunting Them.

That if he did choose Joker, she wasn't going to disarm the bomb herself.

"Honey. You're talking to the wrong girl if you think he's not dangerous locked up in Arkham. It's like I said. That's not good enough for me. Not anymore."

the way he yells for her as she leaves.

"You're only going to get to one of us in time, Bats. Who's it going to be?"

"Harley!"

the way the two men stare at each other in the way they have so many times before, in those moments when Joker stayed or prioritized their fight over her. the way he knew Joker loved the thrill of it all and thought it was funny, thought there was No way Batman would leave him and that this game had to end as according to the rules. And that Batman would do so, he would follow the rules and save him. The way he immediately assumed Batman would choose him, choose his life and choose to stay and disarm the bomb.

And how Batman didn't do that. How Batman walked away from him, leaving him to die or escape or whatever, because He was choosing Harley and her safety and prioritizing her life over him.

The way he stared him in the eyes before choosing the woman Joker had always left to die over him. The way that it was always Him, it was never a question if he would choose Batman over her, but when faced with that type of scenario, Joker is the one that gets left behind to die.

The way she literally woke up in the hospital instead of them having a scene just outside after he removed it. because she didn't intend to live in one of the two options. the way the bomb probably did go off to some capacity because you don't just end up in the hospital knocked out for a week.

Him saying that he's glad she's okay, after everything they've been through, this war and Everything else. and the way he didn't brush off her concern

"I'm glad you're okay."

"Are you?"

"I had to bury my father again today. I did it with my family."

Fun Madness fact: Only one ATP Engineer ever (as of now) throughout the whole canon series has had a deagle. It was in 9.5.2.

For perspective, out of the 38 armed* ATP Soldats, 3 of them had deagles. Out of the 127 armed* ATP Engineers, only 1 had a deagle. This makes sense.

*armed meaning having some sort of weapon. Thus, those who had no weapon were not in this total appearance count.

She jogged forward, eyes briefly scanning the bodies as she passed.

She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw an inky black trail among the crimson. And she felt her blood go ice cold.

An unfortunate truth was, an average of ten percent of victims of these genocides were Hellborn. Those that could not afford to live in the other Rings, or even in Hellborn only settlements like Imp City. Either the Exorcists couldn't tell the difference, or didn't care. Perhaps a mixture of both.

Demons are demons, after all...

And it looks like she might find another example of this statistic...

Another fun bit about the Exterminations? Most Exorcists were notorious for playing with their food. Not just in chasing their targets, but finding increasingly cruel ways to end their lives.

She took out the kit she was carrying, bandages and guaze being snatched up as she hoped the empathic link with her goat bois would bring them here.

She started with the shoulder, putting the gauze over the bloody socket and hurriedly winding the bandage over it while being careful maneuvering his remaining arm out of the way.

If it weren't for the threat of the blood loss, she would have cleaned the wound first. Infections were a bitch down here. But right now she had to do something about the bleeding.

She hoped her hands were steadier than she felt...
