this is a doodle I made a few days ago of rouge introducing shadow to lady gaga’s music lol

After catching up on the episodes I missed while on vacation, here's some notes on ep. 6 and 9 🍷🐈⬛
I didn't take any screenshots or notes for ep. 7, 8 or 10 so I can only assume that nothing stood out to me, the subs explained everything, or I was too busy lol
Disclaimer: not a native Thai speaker, still learning 🙏
Ep. 9 (going in reverse chronological order again)
This is endlessly amusing to me and exactly the type of shenanigans I love to see in my vampire media! During Songkran, it's customary to pour water over the hands of elders (รดน้ำดำหัว /roht naam dam huua/) to show respect and ask for their blessing.
You can read more about Songkran here @recentadultburnout and here @songkranfest 💦
1) รุก (/rook/ = advance, be on the offense) sounds like 2) ลุก (/look/ = stand up), especially because /r/ is often pronounced like /l/ in colloquial speech, so that's the joke (มุก /mook/ 🤓) here
The vamps on this show all speak ridiculously formally like all the time and generally all use the pronouns ฉัน /chan/ (= I) & ท่าน /tan/ (= you; respectful) so Pun suddenly calling Somchai มึง /meung/ (= you; impolite) means serious business! Sidenote: Somchai calls the nosy auntie มึง /meung/ too at the very end of ep. 10
Ep. 6
Y'all this Natalie Portman allover-print dress still haunts me in my dreams
3) ฉันก็ต้องชอบคุณ เอ้ย ขอบคุณน่ะ -> ชอบคุณ /chaawp khun/ = like you vs. ขอบคุณ /khaawp khun/ = thank you
Her name is Kamsai แก้มใส but Pun calls her Kamsuai แก้มสวย here -> สวย /suay/ = pretty
