#my art #marinette dupain cheng #miraculous ladybug #miraculous fanart #style mimic #sorry for the @s btw #yall should go follow those artists if you dont already also #this was sort of inspired by a post the three artists on the top row made #i think they all got together and drew with one another #which is really cool #but i was genuinely confused because i mimic styles a lot #and ive seen others do it too so i was just like #wow they really know each others styles really well #until i thought about it and read their posts some more #style mimicking is really freaking fun and i think its really good practice #and a good way to explore other ways of doing things #like you really have to learn new techniques and get out of your comfort zone #also anna scribbles i could not find a recent pic of marinette in her main outfit #so thats the only marinette i drew in different clothes cuz i couldnt find a more recent ref of you drawing it #anna scribble marinette has privileges thats the others dont #but ye #i also threw my own style in there as a frame of reference to what me draw like #ive drawn marinette before just not in a loooong while #sabertooth walrus was the hardest for me to mimic cuz they have a broad range in their style #so its like which sabertooth do i wanna be in this pic #Buggachat has such a distinct style thats very clean and consistent which is amazing so they were easy #being easy or hard arent bad things either it also has to do with like styles meeting up with one another #buggachats and mine arent too too different in some shapes and aspects #so yeah itd be easier plus they drew marinette like 3 sec ago so i have more recent of a ref #as opposed to sabertooth who i have a recent ref of ladybug but not marinette so we got two diff styles in one

#digital art #artists on tumblr #illustrators on tumblr #original character #original illustration #sasha's art #this one took much longer than i expected it to because well. thats how things go sometimes #there was a time in my life when i was going through years of abuse and felt like i had no way out of that #this led me to become uncaring and reckless and i was very impulsive at the time #there was this big old abandoned hospital in my home town that was not that far from my parents house #by this point in life i felt like i had lost all relationships with people previously close to me and i was not making any new ones out of-#-fear but also because i was isolationg myself (unknowingly)#because i was a child i percieved exploring this building as doing something Unsafe and Dangerous (and i guess it was in the sense that-#-things could fall on me if i wasn't careful)#but anyway i decided going there was going to be my Safe Place #as abandon buildings seem to be so seductive to teenagers it turned out this place was already a popular hang out spot for many teens #so i decided my best course of action would be to sneak out of my room at night/ dawn and go do art at this place when it was safe from-#-other teens lmao #it made me feel Edgy and Cool and Dangerous (even though looking back this was one of the safest activities i was engaging in lmao)#anyways #i replaced all my close human relationships with an abandoned house at the time (maybe theres a metaphor in there somewhere but. i do not-#(-want to see it)#at the time the thing i wanted the most in the world was to die and this was the place it was supposed to happen #luckily i made a deal with myself for ten more years and this ended up saving my life #so i have many mixed emotions about this place. it was there for me when i was at my lowest and loneliest. it was supposed to be my last #a few years ago i took my two best friends there (hadn't told them this story then yet) and i had a wonderful day and felt Loved #it was a weird feeling to feel there #i decided not to take them into the house and i don't think i will ever go in again #but i am glad i had it back when i needed it i guess #i wonder if theres still any of my old art supplies hidden about somewhere

Now don't get me wrong, I love the wholesome idea of Bowser being protective over Luigi (or getting jealous if someone jokingly messes and/or flirts with Luigi), but wouldn’t it also be both funny and kind of adorable if Luigi's the more protective/jealous one between him and his 7-foot tall dragon-turtle boyfriend?

it's a freeing thing, being spiderman. super strength, speed healing, enhanced awareness, taking your fears and shoving them out the window, downdowndown from up on high.

a mask.

give a man a mask, yk? spiderman's sarcasm and light, quick wit pours thoughtlessly from his lips, evasiveness n fight like a buried memory-- confidence in his bones; one second miles is stammering over his sketchbook (edge to edge with his muse, page after page) n the next spiderman's mask is pulled on n he's high in the sky, whoops and cheers alongside his muse's full, deep laughter, dancing through the air, around each other, to the top of the nearest high rise.

spiderman's muse (in other worlds, they're called lovers, but miles- spiderman- the gwen he knows is from another universe n he wasn't "supposed" to be bit at all, so he'll take muse, he'll take best friend) joins him at the top of a spire, base plate barely big enough to hold their shoes n the wind whipping around them, neither of them feeling the chill (it comes with the second skin, with the uniform and the abilities-- it's learning to make your suit warmer)

they've taken the arm closest and draped it over his shoulder like usual, miles wrapping his own across their back, hand squeezing them closer, settled at their hip, a mere look at each other before they're free falling backwards, still clinging to one another, other hand out, air between fingers and mouths pulled taut into wide, toothy smiles. then miles is nudging their shoulder, hand poised for rock-paper-scissors, which they return in kind (oh, miles can almost see the smirk beyond the mask, knowing full well none of those three options will be used by his opponent), miles making a rock with his fist, a peace sign made in response. "peace over war, love," then they're webbed to another building, swinging into the bottom of their curve in the direction of downtown, for whatever spot the other spider feels like eating at, and on and on the night will run, swinging up, down, around n around, across alleys and the sides of buildings, through crowds n noise but always focused on each other, leading then following, following and leading in turns, twisting, spinning, leaping, falling, catching and climbing, over n over until the duo is on the roof of miles' dorm at 5 am, sitting shoulder to shoulder on the edge, masks off- sipping from two different cups n switching every so often, calm n quiet; existing with each other, spider n spider, miles n hobie.

(miles doesn't need his mask when he's with hobie; freedom is easier to reach, with them)

Y'know I really feel like Harry and Dave's relationship goes highly unexplored which is a shame because there IS quite a bit to explore, ESPECIALLY if you care about shipping. But as the game stands I mean, they must be aware of each other. Harry in fact definitely knows about Dave. I don't think he'd tell the fucking weird rotten bunny his terrible boss brought in IS the number one threat against Freddy's since day 1 but even so. Dave I don't think would see Harry as much more than A Phoney™ though, which is always more of an obstacle and way less of a person. Which is usually opposite of how Jack sees his often sole employee. Like, you get what I mean?
