been a hard day for brendon urie likers not because panic is over (i’m happy for him and loved viva and think it’s a perfect note to go out on) but because few of the jokes i’ve seen are funny and most of them are mean >:(
From watching the VMAs I found out Panic! At the Disco was making new music again. So I was listening to one called “Don’t Let the Light Go Out”, and the literal first lyric of the song is: “Stare at a wall that’s told a thousand tragedies” - and immediately I thought to Taylor’s little blurb announcing Midnights, specifically the line: “We stare at walls and drink until they speak back.” I know this isn’t something that just TS has touched upon, but talk about the timing of it all!
Here’s the first full verse of the PATD song, just because I think it has some similarity:
"Stare at a wall that's told a thousand tragedies
Holding a hand that's loved every part of me
A lady comes and tells me that I've got to leave
Right away everybody is the enemy
Deep breaths from the room where I watch you lie
Any beat from your heart gets me through the night
You're my love, you're my death, you're my alibi
Say this isn't good-bye"
“Stare at a wall that’s told a thousand tragedies
Holding a hand that’s loved every part of me
A lady comes and tells me that I gotta leave
Right away everybody is the enemy
Deep breaths from the room where I watch you lie
Any beat from your heart gets me through the night
So today on my run i was listening to panic at the disco and it occurred to me that some of the songs fit with wibar pretty well and uh yeah (camisado+wibar virge is what started the whole debacle although not everything fits nicely) also i love your writing keep up the good work ok byeeeeee
*listens to this song* oh yeah im definitely receiving the vibes you're putting out rn

i used to be very into patd but some of the stuff he said a while ago made me personally kinda uncomfortable so i fell out of it a little ^^' but i guess i liked the death of a bachelor album
also i listened to set it off when i was younger cause it made me feel cool and i liked that album with partners in crime on it
but over the past couple years my taste in music has definitely,,lightened a lot. as in now i listen to mostly taylor swift lol
