My Top 10 Anime:

(I’ve only really watched romance anime so that’s all that’s on the list)

‼️ Spoilers Ahead ‼️ (I tried not to put too many)

Also just want to say before I start that I love the animation style of all of these shows, they’re all so beautifully done! (Didn’t want to say that for each review lol)

(Also I cried after I finished 5/10 of these shows 😂)

10. Maid Sama

Up first we have Maid Sama. This anime is a good enemies to lovers (for one side at least) story that has lots of humor as well as good characters. The ending did remind me of a typical rom com where it felt kind of abrupt but overall the show was very good. Usui and Misaki’s relationship is 👌🏽. I’d give it a 7/10.

9. Yuri on Ice

This was the first anime I ever watched. I had just started watching figure skating after the 2018 olympics (if you know you know) so I thought this show would also be a good one to watch. The end credit choreo is also based on a routine done by my fave ice dancers (Virtue/Moir pls come back)! I don’t remember much about this anime since it’s been a while since I watched it, but the storyline was really good and progressed well and the characters were also cool. Viktor and Yuri were also very soft 🥺. I’d give it a 9/10!

8. Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun

This anime is so cute! All of the characters are super cool and the show pushes the boundaries of gender stereotypes. ⚠️ Spoiler ⚠️ while the main couple don’t actually end up together, the overall story is very cute, humorous and definitely worth watching. The only downside of this show is that it’s so short! (12 episodes) I’d give it a 9/10!

7. Cells at Work

This show is such an interesting concept! It basically teaches you about the different processes your body goes through by telling a story. It mainly focuses on red and white blood cell and features many other different organisms in your body that help fight off various diseases or illnesses throughout the series. The platelets in particular are so adorable! The show has 2 seasons (as well as a spinoff with different characters that I haven’t watched yet) so there’s plenty of learning to be had! I’d give it an 8/10.

6. Orange

This fucking show omg! This show made me bawl during the finale! This show features 5 friends who meet Kakeru and befriend him. Throughout the series, Kakeru and Naho develop their relationship and secrets are revealed. The show does feature a dark theme, but it’s so good! At times Naho did annoy me with some of the things she did, but otherwise I thought the show was great! Suwa must be protected at all costs and Hagita is the MVP. I’d give the show a 9/10!

5. Given

This show is such a good example of LGBT love! It tells the story of Mafuyu who wants to learn guitar and three bandmates who invite him into their band. All of the characters in this show are great and the story is so good! I also like that it has a movie and an ova (that takes place at the same time as the movie) so there’s plenty of content to watch! I’d give it a 10/10!

4. Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku

This show is so cute! This one is different from a lot of the typical anime romances, it actually features adults with jobs! The four main characters have a super cute dynamic and their interactions are very funny. The two main ships are very cute, but I do prefer Kabakura and Hanako over Narumi and Hirotaka. They have an rivals to lovers story and it’s one of my favorite tropes so of course I prefer them! Narumi and Hirotaka are still adorable in their own way as well as Kou and Naoya (the other couple). This show also has 3 ovas (one of which came out a few months ago) that are super cute and definitely worth watching when you finish the main show! I’d give it a 10/10 with the only downside being that it’s too short (13 episodes)!

3. Kamisama Kiss

This is the most recent anime that I watched. It tells the story of Nanami Momozono and how she became a land god. It also features her familiar Tomoe as the main love interest. This show had a really good pace and was very funny at times. I also liked all of the side characters and the fact that show has 2 seasons. I would definitely recommend watching all of the ovas. There’s 2 after the first season and 5 after the second. The ones in the first season provide context for the beginning of the second, and the last 5 ovas complete the story of these wonderful characters! I’d rate this show a 10/10

2. Toradora

This was the second anime I watched after Yuri on Ice. It’s such a good show! I love the characters and the way that Taiga and Ryuji’s relationship develops throughout the series. Since enemies/rivals to lovers is my fave trope, those two characters are one of my fave ships period. This show made me laugh and cry and is definitely one of my comfort shows! The ending was good but I wish there had been more after it, but I was still satisfied! If you do watch the show don’t forget to watch past the credits on the final episode! I’d give it a 9/10!

1. Horimiya

This show omg! This show gave me all of the feels! I can’t describe how much I love this show. The characters are so well done and I love that they don’t beat around the bush and tell it like it is. The relationship between Hori and Miyamura is so special. I relate to Miyamura so much and definitely need someone like Hori in my life. Also that one episode is extremely funny (if you know you know). The rest of the characters are also loveable and the whole cast together is amazing! This show made me laugh, cry and feel about every emotion there is! I’d definitely give it a 10/10

The Good:

- AFO - Dabi conversation

(oh the irony of AFO calling someone specifically a cheap, disposable lighter in front of Touya, when he felt like one his whole life... pls Hori, don't make me a liar and give us LoV acting like friends moments before Deku swoops in and saves everyone)

The Bad:

Also, she just looks very generic, boring pretty... and lol, HK couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to perv a little and show her naked.

Also, Deku’s line about nobody being a villain for just a single crime - I kind of get the sentiment (though I have some issues, because crimes are not like potatoes, there is difference between shoplifting and mass murder), but also it made me giggle, because Aoyama betrayed them at USJ and Forest and also attacked Deku just now. That’s at least 3 crimes. UA should reinstate classes urgently and do some remedial math... 🤣🤣

MHA MANGA/ANIME SPOILERS

TLDR: me rambling about a possible future scerios for Kurogiri and some hc to go along with them kinda

Also pls note that everything I know about the manga is from synopsis of it bc I personally struggle to read manga (all the panels blur together for me and I can never tell what order the text bubbles go in and it's just a struggle bro) so I apologise if all this isn't entirely accurate bc it's prolly not lol

Man ok so I mentioned before that I've been thinking about Kurogiri a lot right

So I personally don't think Shirakumo is coming back. Like he will always be a part of Kurogiri and I think he will start regaining some of Skirakumo's memories and emotions, but I don't think his overall personality or appearance will change all that much. What I'm hoping for is that the doctors working on him are able to loosen some of his programming a bit, but honestly, the whole point of it would be to just make him safe to release as a civilian. I mean obvi he's been a villain throughout the whole series, but it's not his fault. He was literally forced to do all of it. He was programmed to take care of Tomura by any means necessary, and that he did. So I don't think he really deserves to be punished.

Okay so here is a possible scenario that I want to happen:

Basically Aisawa and Hizashi keep visiting him and talking to him and shit and the doctors and psychiatrists do what they can, and eventually he just gets taken into UA (under very close supervision ofc). He's really not violent at all unless he's directly ordered to do something by OFA or ig Tomura (as far as I know). I feel like Nezu would end up not only allowing it, but I feel like he'd be one of the first people to suggest it. As UA's principal, he'd feel a sense of obligation toward Shirakumo since the academy failed to protect him all those years ago. Hizashi would be on board immediately, but Aisawa would be more hesitant because he'd be fearful for the students. Nemuri would be somewhere in between, but I think she'd eventually side with Hizashi.

So yeah he'd be at UA and it would be very strange and he'd have a lot of conflicting emotions. He'd probably be high key having an identity crisis at this point, wondering which thoughts and emotions were Oboro's, his own, or just programmed into him. This would be particularly troubling to him when it comes to Tomura. A part of him would probably dislike Tomura as a person. He's rude, reckless, bratty, and immature. On the other hand, as I mentioned earlier, he was literally programmed to take care of Tomura. But still, after being with the kid for so long, being there through the good, bad, and ugly, and watching him grow up, of course he's going to care deeply for him. He'll never stop loving that boy like a son. The UA staff probably knows that, and all they'll probably be able to do is distract him. I think that Eri would take a liking to him since he naturally just kinda has that concerned dad thing going on, and he'd end up babysitting her or something. He'd probably also like Bakugo because he's like an angrier but less homicidal version of Tomura. I think that interacting with the kids would probably be good for him. Taking care of spitfire children would probably make him feel a little less anxious since that was basically what he did with the LOV. And then, yet again, you have another series of conflicting emotions. He'd miss the LOV terribly and he'd be worried about them. At the same time, he would grow to care about the people within UA.

He'd feel drawn to Hizashi, Aisawa, and Nemuri for obvious reasons, and them to him. But I think he'd avoid them at first. What's left of Oboro would always try to take over when they were around, and Kurogiri would find that both physically and mentally agonizing. And every time one of them looked at him, he'd sense that they were speaking to Oboro, not him. That itself would probably hurt, especially since he knows that he can never be Oboro again. There isn't enough left of him. There's a part of his own psyche that blends into Oboro's, who of course has his own emotions about the situation. There's not much of him there, but it's enough for him to feel. Eventually, though, I like to think there would be a point where Oboro's besties would start seeing Kurogiri as just himself, and he'd tentatively respond in kind.

Okay imma mention a major character death now

After Nemuri's death, he'd probably feel so, so horrible and upset and he'd take it so poorly. He's usually a pretty calm person, so people would be kinda confused since he wasn't nearly as close to her as Aisawa and Mic were, but eventually everyone would kinda generally realize that this dude was experiencing the grief of two people at once: that of a close childhood friend, and that of someone who Nemuri had helped feel like a person.

Okay now time for a nicer headcanon

So when that asshat programmed him, he prolly did something interesting to his sleep schedule. To do his job effectively, Kurogiri might have to stay awake for days at a time during bad situations. For him to be able to do that, he is going to have to be able to compensate for that later. So my hc is that during periods of "inactivity", like when he feels generally safe and doesn't see anything to attend to, he just passes tf out sometimes. So during periods where he's feeling anxious, he probably just. Doesn't sleep, bc in his mind he's like "omg threat detected". But if you hug him for too long, he'll fall asleep on your shoulder. But like most of the time it's a p light sleep so he can be ready to take on anything that may try to sneak up on him or whatever, so sometimes it's hard to notice when this happens bc you can't really read his face and also he wakes up so easily. But occasionally, his body will simply say no 💜 and my mans will be OUT for like half the day or longer depending on how long he's gone without a proper rest. He can usually tell the difference between his lil micronaps and a Konk-Out as Present Mic starts calling it, and he will try SO HARD to fight it but he does not win ever.

This literally took me like an hour to type holy shit lol but anyways yeah

First of all, I lov bby junhui ice skating!!

he always wanted to be an ice skater ever since he was young bc he used to watch figure skaters at a nearby rink

he saw this figure skater doing a beautiful routine once

and immediately he was like I WANNA ICE SKATE

his family brushed it off at first like aw he likes the figure skater

but NO he actually wants to skate!!

Then they signed him up for ice hockey classes but boi was like

"No!! Figure skate >:( "

but his parents already paid for a couple of classes, so he picked up some basic skating and hockey skills!

In conclusion, he's practiced ever since he was smol and is v skilled at it

looks damn great while skating too

Like. The CONFIDENCE radiates from his body. we stan

He also enters some small competitions and wins medals in them!!

to him, it isn't so much a competition than it is dancing on ice

(different from ice dancing tho)

so he essentially wins awards for having fun!

it's a double win!!

he picks up moves and spins so quickly and executes them flawlessly istg

he competed in the junior comps for years and was v successful

literal p r o d i g y

this year would be his fourth year competing in senior-level ones

However, he’s always so focused on learning and perfecting his skills that he hardly talks to any other skaters besides his coach, Tao

so his coach went "Jun ur always so antisocial even tho you’ve competed for so long, I’m signing u up for a pair competition, ok?"

Junhui was like “yeah sure idrc”

little did he know, that choice would change his life forever :)

You're also a figure skater; an astounding one!!

But your coach, Faith, has had u on a break from competitions for the past year or so

this was due to an injury and family wanting you to stay home to recover

The thing is…it was mainly just a lie

you were injured mentally and had to talk to a therapist to help control some stress you were getting from skating comps over the years, but this wouldn’t normally warrant you taking a full-year break of doing almost no skating

But Faith agreed that you needed some time off to spend with family instead of constantly in comp after comp, year after year

Faith wasn't pleased at first, but she felt better about it knowing you’d come back stronger

Eventually, you did come back…

…kind of weakly, though

your self-esteem and confidence had gone down from inactivity

not to mention your physical strength had decreased greatly

a lot of those tricks didn't feel as easy as they were before

Even worse, the new season was about to start >:(

since u were rusty, there was worry that you wouldn't be able to get back on your A-game in time

So for this year's season, Faith signed you up for the International PAIR Comp. Program!!

That's right, folks: You were gonna have a partner from another country for the majority of the competition!!

Each eligible competitor entered into the program would be paired up with another competitor from a different country

these pairs would only compete in the competitions that allowed both countries to

so competitors could also compete on their own during the season

There was one Big award you were looking forward to: the Best International Pair award!

but you also had another one in mind: the Overall Best Individual award

(kind of a Miss Congeniality situation where your attitude/actions are taken into account; these aren’t real awards btw lol)

you were the runner-up for that award during the season before your break, so your coach was adamant about you winning it this year to represent your resilience and your country

The season officially starts on July 1st, but you still had time to prepare with your teammate before you had to compete

Speaking of which, you have to find out who that is!

The International Skating Union posted online that they’d send personal emails to only the coaches of the participating countries to keep it discreet

On July 3rd, Faith gets the email and waits until you arrive at your usual practice rink the next day to check it

the first thing you did before practice was read the email, giddy and nervous

"Partner Country: China"

You: "Ooooooof… China? Weren’t last year’s competitors really good?"

Faith: "Well, yeah, but you’re just as good!!"

you’re pretty intimidated knowing you may be looked down upon by your partner if they’re like 5x better than you

but ok, deep breaths, deep breaths.

gotta meet ur competition partner

Faith and the coach for China’s competitor agreed on you flying to China to train

so you pack up for a long trip and set off for China!!

You get off the plane early in the morning and, despite being wildly jet-lagged, have to head to the ice rink to make living arrangements with the other coach

So, at 7 am, you and Faith step into this hugeeee building with the biggest ice rink you’ve seen since your last competition

there you officially met Tao!!

he has to escort you inside since it’s a members-only rink before noon

you sit on bleachers with Faith and Tao as they talk about where you’ll stay

But you aren’t really paying attention to the conversation; you’re watching the skaters

There aren’t many people since it’s still early, so you assume most of them are preparing for competitions

regardless of whether they’re wearing casual clothes or not, they all look intimidatingly professional

everyone on the rink is so skilled and are executing difficult moves with ease

How could I ever compare to them?

…and suddenly you’re regretting coming here, worried you’ll be judged for being rusty

a couple of skaters catch your eye, specifically because they’re wearing casual clothes and yet still look proficient af

there’s a girl wearing sweats who performs a pearl spin and a handsome guy wearing all black who seems to be flying across the rink

After a few minutes, Tao calls out a name towards the rink, which snaps you out of your daze and makes you notice the handsome guy wearing all black skating towards you

n o way—he’s my partner???

Junhui skates up to you, stepping next to Tao to introduce himself

he shakes your hand while you’re still trying to process his beauty

"Hi, I’m—uh, I’m y/n, I’m your partner—for the international competition."

"Nice to meet you! I’m Wen Junhui. You can call me Jun or Junhui."

you both talk for a bit with your coaches and agree that you’ll stay at Jun’s place for the duration of your stay in China

skating strangers slumber party wooo

Jun then invites you onto the rink to join him and "see what you’ve got"

you’re 96% sure as hell that this is some kind of trick to see how bad you’ve gotten at skating

thankfully, Faith cuts in and saves you

Faith: "Maybe not right now, y/n’s pretty jet-lagged at the moment"

Jun: "Oh, you’re right, of course! Don’t want you getting injured~"

He says it with a smile before stepping back onto the rink, 100% definitely showing off now

you can’t help but let him win you over; he’s skilled and not afraid to show it

again: the c o n f i d e n c e

the gracefulness!!

Junhui On Ice: nyoooooooooooooooom

You and the coaches watch him for a while until he finally steps off the ice

he takes a seat next to you while pulling off his skates, a little sweaty but still radiating positive energy

he passes the vibe check ig

Tao drives the 2 of you to Junhui’s place to set down your things

before you know it, it’s noon, so the coaches go out to buy groceries and whatever else you need while Junhui makes lunch

His fridge is packed with healthy food, so he lets you take what you’d like before sitting at the dining table and turning on the TV

the two of you watch an anime (guess which one ahah) together quietly until you’ve finished your food, which is when Junhui sparks up a conversation

"I heard you were the runner up for the OBI last year"

what is this, an interrogation??

You: "Yeah. What about it?"

J: "Do you have to be really social to win it?"

You: "I just try to be respectful to everyone during off-time. Are you aiming for that this year?"

J: "Kind of. Tao said I need to be more social during comps, so I guess it’s ironic I got paired with you"

You: "Hah, I guess it’s because we could both work on our social skills a little more"

this earns u a chuckle from Junhui :)

The next few weeks are gruelling and miserable

not as miserable as they normally would be, though, since Junhui is your partner!!

whether it be his goofiness, his positivity, or his stunning looks, he always manages to put a smile on your face

At first, you were a little nervous to practice with him

mainly because you’d be in front of a few other competitors who would probably judge you

when you were first warming up on the rink, you tried some spins you had learned before

you were having a little trouble doing some layback spins when the girl in sweats that you saw the other day approaches you

"I saw your balance was a little off, would you like some help?"

The girl, who introduces herself as Jieqiong, shows you a warm-up she likes to do that helps with balance

it helps you a lot and you thank her sincerely before executing a spin well

Jieqiong smiles and congratulates you before going off on her own again

Junhui, who is nearby gazing at you curiously, realizes at that moment why you were chosen as the runner-up for the OBI

sure, you’re not super social, but you leave a good impression on people you do talk to

you left a good impression on him, at least

he skates up to you when you’re catching your breath, circling you before grabbing your wrist to pull you with him

he’s gotten closer to you over the past few weeks, spending some time with you in an attempt to socialize and get to know his competition partner better

as a result, you’ve grown. uhhhh. a very tiny crush

it’s not that big since you’re trying to focus on comp

but the thought always comes back to you during your time away from the rink, or when you’re just watching him skate

your thoughts sometimes get the better of you though, especially when you wake up early for practice

you’ll still be really tired, so Junhui holds onto you while you’re skating until you’re fully awake so you have a lower chance of falling

usually, that means linking arms with him and gliding along while chatting

in those 5ish minutes, you can’t help but gaze up at him when he’s looking away

your face would probably melt the ice from how hot it gets

Junhui’s quirky, but he knows how to make you smile while being a wonderful skater on top of that!

he helps you prepare for competitions and gets you back on your feet both literally (whenever you fall) and figuratively (since you had a break year)

he also critiques and improves your solo routines with you!!

Faith is overjoyed that you’re able to get your skills back so quickly

Speaking of solo routines, Jieqiong actually spends a bit more time with you too!

She helps you with stretching and warmups in the morning and since you can’t really talk competition with her, you just do small talk

you bond a lot with her!!

ur more comfortable talking to Jieqiong since talking with Junhui for too long makes your heart palpitate lmao

and she talks to you more often once she notices your crush on Junhui before you do :)))

dw tho she only teases you a little

but she teases Junhui a L O T because she’s known him for a while

they took a couple classes together, competed against each other, and ofc train at the same rink

He’s a little annoyed at her for pestering him, but only because he kinda likes you too

Jieqiong: “hey, so, you know how y/n has a crush—”

J: "ughHHHHHHH JIEQIONG STOP REMINDING ME"

JQ: "but it’s cute!!!"

J: "I ALREADY KNOW Y/N IS CUTE—"

JQ: "YOU THINK Y/N IS CUTE?!?"

J: "SHH—YES OKAY don’t say anything to them!!!"

Junhui, being a great dancer, is doing an amazing job at making sure your routines are well-choreographed

…the issue is that he gets distracted by you sometimes

all he wants to do is squeeze you in a hug and quit practicing to take you out to a hearty lunch

sadly ur job requires many hours of practice, so that won’t happen anytime soon :/

regardless, he gives you the hope that you can win :D

Soon, competitions start!!

you’re not scheduled for as many solo comps this year since you’re competing as the intl. pair, but you insist on seeing any competitions held in China and competing in any others out of the country that you can

Your 2 biggest competitions with Junhui are the Grand Prix Final in December and the World Championships in March

Before then, you’ll be competing in a couple of rounds locally

Junhui will also be competing in some singles comps

you made sure to cheer him on during all of them!!

he encourages you to go back to your home country while you have time to compete in some comps there too

so you take his advice and fly back for a few weeks to compete for fun with some of your friends

Junhui makes sure to watch you perform online whenever he can :DD

You actually win bronze in your country’s Grand Prix and immediately call Junhui (who was watching proudly on his phone uwu)

the chatter in the skating community that day was that “y/n is making a comeback!!! :D”

Which gets you to talk to an old skating friend from the USA, Joshua!

he congratulates you on making a great comeback and y’all chat for a bit

you also tell Joshua abt Junhui and he cannot keep his mouth shut afterwards

You: "Shsshhs it’s confidential info bc the intl. pairs haven’t competed/been revealed yet!"

Joshua: "Too bad y/n. You like him and he’s… oH MY GOD tHey WeRE TEaMmAtES!!"

You fly back to China just in time for your first comp as a pair with Junhui

it’s the evening before the competition and you’ve been trying to sleep for half an hour, but it’s not working

you’re just SUPER nervous.

…and sitting quietly on your makeshift bed in the living room on your phone in the dark

Suddenly the light in the kitchen flicks on and your head snaps toward it

it’s Junhui, who greets you with a "Hey. Can’t sleep?"

"Yeah. I’m just…nervous, I guess. What about you?"

"Oh, I’m too excited," he says while putting strawberries into a bowl

"Hah, I wish that was me."

Junhui brings the bowl of strawberries and sits next to you, offering you some

he asks you why you’re so nervous, so you finally explain

Truth is, you’ve never won a gold medal in bigger competitions

which is okay on its own, but Faith is a bit disappointed since you keep getting silver

you were always second place—never better, never worse

it’s another reason you took your break year: you were even second for the OBI

it gets tiring watching other people improve and move on to bigger goals when you’re always stuck with silver

"I get that, it does get tiring. But you have me to lean on, okay?"

you thank him and he almost leaves once y’all finish the strawberries

but you ask him to stay with you afterward

so you end up falling asleep next to him

aw :’)

IT’S TOMORROW NOW, WAKE THE HECK UP!1!1!

you sleep in to get enough rest, waking up to the sound of Junhui’s soft breaths next to you

it’s cute :)))) but you gotta get up and get ready for the first big comp ahead of you

first impressions to the public are important, after all!!

u prepare brunch for the both of you since Junhui isn’t up yet

he wakes up and makes his way to the kitchen, back hugging you

it startles you a bit, but you relax quickly and finish preparing breakfast

Junhui’s also a tired bean when he gets up, but his body wakes up fully before yours

you both enjoy this nice quiet time before heading to the rink to do some last run-throughs before the comp in the evening

Then, finally… HERE IT IS!!!

the first intl. Pair Competition you can compete in, which is taking place in Korea!!

you and Junhui are competing later in the evening, so you watch in the sidelines for a while to see the other competitors first

Before the intl. pairs, there are a few more singles performances before the intl. pair comp officially starts

one is your idol: Sunmi she’s a gold medalist and was the OBI winner a few years ago!

you watch in awe as Sunmi glides across the rink gracefully, holding onto everyone’s gazes

your heart is warm from seeing her perform;

maybe one day you’ll be like her!!

but sadly, the feeling quickly fades away once the intl. pairs start

it’s nerve-wracking to watch the other pairs before you

you’re still convinced that you’ll disappoint Junhui or your coach or—

Junhui notices your uneasiness and gives you a tight squeeze to calm you

it works :’)

you get a few comments abt lovebirds but whatever

After a brief moment of watching, you and Junhui head back to the lockers finish getting ready for your performance

he meets you back near the rink and you try to mentally prepare for your performance

deep breaths. deeeeep breaths.

Junhui notices you still struggling, so he compliments your outfit to take your mind off of nerves

You: “It’s not like you haven’t seen me in this before!”

J: “Yeah, well, you look amazing tonight”

his comment gives you the last bit of confidence you need to feel ready

And so you set off onto the rink once your names are called!!

the music choice for this round is a song both you and Junhui like, which helps you skate with more energy

…which is important since he has to lift you up at one point

And you get through your first performance with flying colours!!

Junhui is proud and everyone is in a bit of a daze

Faith and Tao are very relieved 😂

both of you get a lot of compliments, which Junhui lets you handle lol

you get a question from an interviewer about what it’s like competing together

and ofc, you answer by showering Junhui w/praise as he showers you with compliments and lowkey flirts on camera

and Joshua finally gets to freely ramble (with friends) about you liking Junhui since everyone knows you’re partnered up now

The weight has been lifted off your chest and you and Junhui are able to compete in a more relaxed state

so you do really well in your following competitions!

as you and Junhui gain popularity due to your teamwork skills and your personal comeback to skating, many other skaters start talking to you often in between comps and practice

Junhui is hesitant to chat but you manage to get him to socialize with old and new friends

you even introduce him to Joshua and the two hit it off really well!!

(which gives you a proud parent moment)

The soonest big competition in China is the Cup of China, which you watch with Faith at a special skater’s area near the rink

A beautiful skater performs and you get super excited when she does her signature pearl spin—it’s Jieqiong!

she finishes her routine perfectly, and you stand up to congratulate her once she’s off the ice

Jieqiong’s tearing up a bit from adrenaline and gives you a brief hug before leaving

Near the end of the evening, a familiar handsome face steps onto the rink…

It’s Junhui (ofc)

He shoots a smile in your direction before the music starts and your face flushes knowing it’s directed at you

Although you thought Jieqiong’s routine was perfect… hoo boy, Junhui breaks your expectations and redefines "perfect"

You had seen videos of his performances before and have skated next to him, but seeing his solo performance live was something else

Once he’s off the ice, he also pulls you into a hug—a long one—before leaving to be interviewed

there’s definitely an article out there going:

"The stunning skater making a comeback and the handsome Chinese gold-medalist; are Wen Junhui and Y/N in love?"

just pray that Joshua doesn’t find it and spam you with it

And, of course, Junhui wins gold

"I won gold last year too, I don’t think they’ll let me compete anymore," he jokes during your celebratory dinner

Before you know it, you’re in Korea for the Grand Prix Final (which will have the final Intl. Pair Comp)!

Joshua is there since he performed earlier in the afternoon, so he gives you a double thumbs-up from the sidelines when it’s your time to skate

your heart is practically pounding in your chest as you step onto the rink with Junhui

Tonight, you can feel everyone’s stares burning into your body

Junhui glances at you before you step out and gives you one last hug before you perform

“We got this,” he assures you, “take a deep breath with me.”

one last deep breath.

you look up at Junhui and thank him kindly before pulling him onto the rink

As you and Junhui begin your routine, you struggle to perform while keeping in time with the music

Faith and Tao were informed your song had to be changed pretty last minute, so you and Junhui had to get used to the change in timing with your choreo

it was difficult, and you almost missed a jump with Junhui at one point

Thankfully, you manage to get through the entire performance!!

it wasn’t perfect, but you’re both satisfied that it was as good as you could do in the given situation

after you’ve gotten some water and caught your breath, you go with Junhui to be interviewed

Junhui lets you answer the first set of questions since a lot of them are about your successful return to skating

to reflect on the season you also make sure to mention Jieqiong and some other junior skaters that you knew before your break year since you’re so proud of them

Since it’s your last performance as a pair, you’re asked once more what it was like to perform together

you start getting a bit emotional, so Junhui puts his arm around you and rubs your shoulder before answering it himself

J: “I’m very grateful I was able to perform with Y/N this season. I think we’ve taught each other a lot and…well, you know, it was nice to work with someone I learned to care about so much.”

this makes your heart MELT and you barely manage to mumble out smth just as sweet to Junhui

now even more people think you’re dating ahah

Sometime after your interview, the finalist winners are announced:

The winners of the International Pair Competition are…

Two skaters you don’t know! WOO CONGRATS TO THEM! 👏👏 (no sarcasm)

You, Junhui, Faith, and Tao are a little disappointed since you worked so hard to get back into competition shape and all had to work with strangers

but you’re still proud nonetheless of competing together and making it this far!!

You and Junhui start chatting as some other awards are mentioned

You: “Those things you said during the interview…”

J: “I meant every word.”

—when Faith starts shaking you vigorously and pulls you up from your seat

You: “Why are you—what’s happening?”

Faith: “YOU JUST WON THE OBI!!!”

You: “...”

You: “WHAT”

Faith eagerly leads you to get your award, a sweet trophy!!

Once the other special award winners are announced, you rush back to Junhui who congratulates you with open arms!

he presses a very firm kiss to your forehead and nearly squeezes you to death

After you’ve taken off your gear and are about to head home, Sunmi walks up to congratulate you

you’re so flustered, both from Sunmi’s praise and from Junhui holding you close to him the entire way home

Once Faith and Tao drop you off at Junhui’s place, you immediately collapse next to him on his couch, laughing from relief and excitement

J: “So, are you happy you won your second big award?”

You: “Yep! I can’t believe—wait, second? We didn’t win the Pair Competition and I haven’t won more than silver in anything else.”

“Ah, right, I should properly congratulate you… You won my heart first.”

Naamah’s “Match-Up” That I Made Needlessly Complicated!

IT TOOK ME A WHILE BUT I DID GO CRAZY AND STUPID

hewwo @baalism I made u......less of a match up and more just headcanons on how u date the people. i hope u like it <3 I divided them into tiers depending on how well I think they mesh w you too!! so here you go!

TOP TIER (NOT kissing up 2 u!)

SATAN

I think Satan is your #1 man because the two of you just seem to be.....kindred spirits. (I am calling you the same as Satan but like as a compliment?) Y’all got that academia vibe to you with your books and your museum dates and your air of mystery. You two are the hot nerd squad is what i’m saying

Plus Satan is a social butterfly! He’d not only like the quieter moments w you but also when you went dancing he could either be living it up with you or making new connections (although. if he was going to the club why would he stray from the main attraction? make it make sense)

And with him that trust would be super easy to get bc if you’re dating him, HOO BOY. He’s got some Issues but he trusts you to help him get through them! There is a lot of him that feels prickly and dangerous and if you don’t shy away from that and can help him through it then you have his heart! As long as you aren’t ripping his attention away from a thrilling chapter, he’s a great conversation partner too. His quiet nature at first is NOT shyness, it allows him to be observant!! You are one of the few who get the chatty inside ^u^

Plus he loves ur cat and will be on her side when she screws with your puzzles.

THE ONLY REASON he is not number one is he’s a bit too much of a wallflower to be into the partying like Satan would be. Otherwise....hot nerd squad two electric boogaloo

Is a bit more down with the witchy outdoorsy stuff and the occult and the abandoned place exploration thing than Satan would be. I bet one of his favorite things to do is take u to an abandoned building and after being there for a while when you start to get bored, he enchants it to look like the inside of some old castle and you dance together or something :) memories for u

isn’t always super chatty but is great for listening to you rant. he makes up for his lack of chattiness by asking the perfect questions to get you fired up again, so your ranting takes up most of the time. loves to pick ur brain, so you can talk about anything. he’s like: i want to dissect that smart lil organ of yours. lovingly <3

i see jin as super affectionate (unsurprisingly), but this doesn't mean that i think dabi isn't. it's more so that he just doesn't act on it really, but when it comes to jin, he really soaks up the attention. i think initially he finds clinginess itself kind of annoying, but when it comes to jin he doesn't really mind.

jin is also obviously the more vocal one in the relationship and i think that suits them really well. actually, i hc that one of dabi's love languages is words of affirmation, so jin being very loud about how much he cares about him means a lot. and i think that one of jin's is physical touch obviously lol.

one of the hcs i've been writing out recently is that dabi crashes at jin's place every now and then — the motel he's staying at before the lov is on the run. i think that both of them benefit from having another person there at night, and also i like the idea of them being ridiculously domestic.

i hc dabi as a bit of a neat freak, like not extremely, but i do think he's neat and he doesn't mind chores. jin, in contrast, is pretty messy and disorganized (at least to anyone else, he totally knows where everything is though). but! yeah. when dabi stays with him, things are a lot neater just cuz. also him just being rlly observant... i think it would make him a very considerate partner, especially with jin, who's pleasantly surprised when dabi references stuff he's said long ago. like woah! you were listening to that? and just. also it makes him good at giving gifts.

when it comes to these two, i kind of feel like there would never really be a label on their relationship... jin's definitely crazy sappy and he totally uses pet names even if dabi half-heartedly complains and tells him not to. (he doesn't actually mind, it's just embarrassing )but i think dabi's def the type to avoid outright defining any close relationship, strictly out of his own fear of vulnerability. still it's blatantly obvious to anyone who knows them that they're in love.

something i never really talk about but felt like ranting about right now.

hi, i’m may, i stan fictional villains, and i have a shitty autoimmune disease.

i don’t make a big deal of it because i don’t think it’s defining who i am but i won’t pretend it’s not a huge part of my life.

just a little backstory. my disease started to kick in in my teens. it started very slowly and snuck up on me. the first time i noticed something was off, was when my right knee started hurting. back then i didn’t think of it as much though, just maybe i was getting hurt at the concert i was at a a few days prior (it was good charlotte, my friend is a huge fan and dragged me to their live it wasn’t bad but lol). it started to bother me when the pain in the knee didn’t go away after i kept applying some cooling gels and whatnot and my knee kept swelling up. my cousin, who’s a doctor got me some cortisone cream too and it helped a bit but you can’t use this for long. so as soon as i quit using it the pain was back just as bad, if not worse.

i started seeing doctors and they were just confused. i got my knee punctured and liquids drained by doctor 5 times. (long-ass needle goes under your kneecap and liquid gets pulled out) this procedure hurts like shit but it always gave me a little relief for a few days. but after that it still got progressively worse. it started to also affect my left knee and my right wrist and eventually my lower back. and at this point i was taking a lot of pain meds to at least be able to have pain-free days. in the mornings i couldn’t get out of bed, i couldn’t walk. i had to always take pain meds in bed, wait until they kick in, then force myself to get out of bed and try to walk. always stiff, always having to keep my legs moving if i don’t want them to turn stiff like rocks again... my knees were too weak to keep me on my legs for long so whenever i was in situations i had to stand a lot, i would threaten them cos i would have to find something to lean on and that wasn’t always an option. shitty fucking situation.

i kept seeing doctors who were not sure what it was. idk how many times i left a doctor office and then had a mental breakdown, crying cos no one could tell me what’s wrong and i just wanted it to be taken care of. like lit felt like i was left so alone with my pain and no one did anything to help me with it. i even felt like i wasn’t taken serious enough. one doctor even made some comments that it might all just be in my brain. because i am also diagnosed with GAD and clinical depression he was like “this could be part of that.” such bullshit. sometimes doctors don’t take you serious for having mental illnesses is what i learned from that.

anyway, things were looking up a little after that.

about 7 years into living with pain i was finally getting a diagnosis. all this time it had been psoriasis arthritis, an autoimmune illness that attacks my joints. the reason why it took doctors this long is because this condition rarely ever comes without the skin condition psoriasis. i didn’t show it on my skin, and even my blood tests seemed to not show the results doctors needed to diagnose it. the only reason doctors did find out, was because i had googled my symptoms a lot and i brought up the idea to my doctor that this would be it. plus my grandpa and my aunt have the same disease and it’s something genetic. honestly without me telling the docs i think i have psa i think i wouldn’t have a diagnosis even now.

idk what changed on the day i got my diagnosis and why it suddenly showed in my blood tests also. but i was relieved to say the least, knowing what was rly going on with my body. but the thing is, i lived 7 years undiagnosed with it and now have to live with the consequences of that time: these being, i was always walking cautiously because of the pain in my knees, it ended up in me now having a crooked walk, i can’t stretch out my legs completely anymore, neither bend them completely. it’s now just something i have to live with, that i won’t prolly never walk normally again. i’ve ruined my posture thru that, and now have chronic back pains caused by it and i get lots of migraines that result from the back (idk how it works i aint a doctor)

now i am on strong medication called mtx, it’s kind of a med that many ppl are critical of, because of its strong side effects and it not being rly good to the body. i have my blood checked all 6 weeks cos i gotta make sure they don’t slowly kill me lol. but for me this med is rly saving my life like holy shit. i do physical rehab in a program whenever i can, i stayed there for weeks before and it was kind of nice. the issue with my medication, however, is that i have to pause them whenever i even have as much as a small cold. since they suppress my immune system or whatever, i can’t take them when i am sick or i won’t ever have a immune system to get me back to becoming healthy again or some sciency shit idk lol.

either way that brings me to now. i had a fever not long ago and had to pause my meds again. mtx stays in the body for like 2 weeks or so, if you pause any longer than that, your body is set back to the state it was before you started therapy on this medication and mtx takes up to ten weeks to even take effect. meaning, when i pause it, i am set back to before i started the medication and have to wait at least 6 weeks for them to kick back in and make the pain slowly go away again. now, currently i am in one of those in between times before the meds work again. i am in quite a lot of pain, i can barely get out of bed. not only do both my knees rly hurt but so does my back. and i am like /: well that sucks.

it’s hard to focus when you’re in pain. as i am right now. i try really hard to focus on anything other than that but no matter what i do, my mind’s always going back to the pains in my back and knees, my wrists feel surprisingly fine and thank fuck cos i need them to write lol. point being, my focus is gone. i wanna write, i wanna create, i wanna draw but it’s rly hard man. i feel whiny and like overly dramatic... nothing should keep me from writing, realistically. look, i mean, i just typed out this wholeass essay. i honestly think i am blocking myself. i’m like ‘woe is me.. i have some pain’ and somehow almost use this as an excuse, i guess, to be a lazy pos.

someone gotta tell me “stop being a bitch and get to work” so if you read this and if you would lol. just don’t pls, for the lov of king shiggy , don’t feel bad for me or say anything to pity me. that’s not what i want /at all/. i’m a badass for living with this pain, lemme feel like one at least lol. if you can sympathize that’s nice but i didn’t write this to make anyone feel bad for me i promise. i don’t feel bad for myself either, i honestly think i am lucky in many ways that i get to live in a country with free health care, get to work from home, get to be a lazy pos when i am in this type of situation without having to worry about anything rly.

i’m also writing this rant to kind of push myself. get out of this stupid slump DO SOMETHING.

Oh, there you are. I was wondering what was he going to do next. And apparently this comes right after Sad Man's Parade so the timeline is kind of intertwined this chapter. Honestly, his plan of going to the front line and doing the job himself is stupid af, but we already established this guy cannot think straight and panics for every little think. He's going to die and I'm going to enjoy it.

Society in this world should address bullying because of quirks more. The exact same thing happened to La Brava (and Izuku too was heavily bullied for being quirkless). In previous chapters it was mentioned that the MLA measured the value of people depending on their "meta ability". But that's something that happens already. This is the wrongs society has to face and doesn't. And is the League of Villains yhe ones who will actually change something. I can feel it.

Also, the fact we were shown that Spinner used to be severely depressed before Stain, and later Shigaraki, gave him some hope makes it more easier to understand why he is the way he is. Even though motivation wise or ability wise he isn't that special, it only helps to make him painfully relatable. I'm rooting for him.

+ He and Shiggy are both neets who talk in videogame and if they grow close after this their interactions within the league are going to be hilarious.

Once upon a time, Brian Wilson was daydreaming about girls going to the museum which was very educational. More educational than daydreaming about girls which is good for you which is why he was daydreaming about going to the museum instead of girls.

“Yoo hoo brothers!” he said.

“I have decided to go to the museum which is a very educational activity for us to do which will be beneficial for us,” said Brian. “I will call our cousin, Michael Edward Love, and our friend, Alan Charles Jardine.”

“Oh ok, big brother,” the two younger Wilsons said. “As soon as we get out of the shower and clothe ourselves (which will probably align with the arrival of our cousin, Michael Edward Love, and our friend, Alan Charles Jardine), we shall take off in the Beach Boy MobileTM to go to the museum as you wish.”

“THE BEACH BOYS!” the bug boys ejected.

“THE BEATLES!” the sand children exclaimed.

They started fighting and in the moment of anger, they broke!! The statue of David (not Crosby unfortunately for the statue of David Crosby has cursed the museum for over a century now)!!!!!!!

“HEY” said The Manager of The Museum (which was an unfortunate name given to him by his parents sad emoji)

“Oh no” said Brian Wilson.

“We can’t either,” said the Beach Boys (for they had already spent enough on getting a nintendo switch to play animal crossing: new horizons.

This is left the poor, poor Monkees. “Bruh we poor af.”

“Then you have to work to pay for it smh,” said The Manager of The Museum.

“OH NO!” said all of them at once.

“You must go around the museum to find three fragments of the broken statue that you have broken, which somehow have been transported into the museum which you must complete challenges to get!”

“Like Dora the Explorer?” asked George Harrison, the youngest member of the Beatles.

“Yea,” saidThe Manager of The Museum. “Ok bye im gonna play animal crossing: new horizons now :))))))”

“Ok. We must split up into three groups.”

And to make this complication more complicated, the author decided to make David Crosby, Graham Nash and Neil Young walk into the scene.

“Oh no not again,” said Graham Nash, already getting another headache.

The other lads shrugged and took poor Peter Halsten Dorkelson who was too confuzzled and befuddled and bamboozled to be crying.
