Hey not the same anon but I saw the Cliff HCS and was curious if you had any more thoughts on the possible little sibling for cove you mentioned in the first ones. I’d imagine it would definitely be an unplanned ordeal with how I see Cliff at least(obviously okay if you see differently! But the guy just had his own little guy grow up and leave the nest so I can’t see baby 2: electric bungaloo being planned) but I just have this image in my head of both Cliff and (his ofc)MC freaking out because they think MC is dying, rushing to the hospital and getting back a “not dying, just pregnant” and both of them going “oh. OH!” (1/2)

But yeah! Plus only-child-turned-big-brother Cove is such a fun concept to because while there’s probably a lot of emotions™️ there, I just know he cries the first time he holds the nugget. (Also Canon!MC whether dating Cove or not is honorary big sibling as well). But to wrap it up whether you have any ideas or hcs for this idea yourself(absolutely okay if you don’t ofc!) I love the whole dynamic of Cliff’s MC and I hope you have super fun with writing whatever it is you do next!

-- So honestly I could see it going either way. By the time Cove turns 18 and moves out, Cliff isn't even 40 yet, he's active and healthy and being a dad is his favorite thing ever, so I could see him planning a second child with you, after he's sure Cove wouldn't be upset by the idea.

-- Some parents would be like "My child is grown now, I am living my own life and if they don't like it then that is sad but I have to live for myself, even if it upsets them." And that is just not Cliff.

-- But Cove wouldn't mind either, it wouldn't have to be some big ordeal. He loves his dad and wants him to be happy, and he knows you make him happy, and it might be fun to have a little sibling, even if they're going to be a very very little to him.

-- Cliff is going to really like the process of trying for a baby. Sorry but it's true, do whatever you want with that.

-- He'd be really active in tracking your ovulation, mapping out the best times to try, all that. And boy does he have a can-do attitude!

-- When you do get pregnant, what a gift you have given him. He is going to be over the moon. He already takes care you you like nobody's business, but you haven't seen anything yet.

-- But a surprise pregnancy is always fun (in fiction lol, be safe out there)! Once he figured out where you were with it, he would also be on cloud nine, pleased as punch, so on and so forth. Because sure, it is a little wild to raise a whole entire person from the time they are born until the time they are an adult then turn around and repeat the process entirely like that, but he's more than up for it.

-- He knows the baby is going to be their own person, and he'd never try to use them as some sort of redemption for himself. But he is still determined to not repeat his old mistakes. He will communicate with you about everything, you will make every important decision together, a team 100%.

-- Cliff is an absolute dreamboat and it's a shame that we don't talk about it more. We're a small enough fandom that we could be having regular meetings to address issues like this.

-- He goes with you to an ultrasound and you're told that the baby is measuring weeks ahead and is going to be a big baby! Cliff is smug. Also hopeful that this one won't outgrow him like Cove did. He likes being a big boy.

-- And then what if the baby comes out tan with blonde hair looking just like him, what about that.

-- Cliff with a newborn is crazy. He is running on fumes but you'd never know it because he's just so damn happy. You know those dads who never change a diaper or insist on not waking up in the night because they need their rest for work. Could NEVER be Cliff.

-- Cove comes to visit at the hospital after the baby is born, he's not really sure how it will feel and he's been a little detached during the pregnancy, not out of any kind of meanness, just because he can't really grasp at that point what this means for his life, you know? But when he meets the baby for the first time, maybe they have a feature or two of his, some kind of familial resemblance, and THAT'S HIS LITTLE BROTHER/SISTER. He's a big brother. Thoughts racing, tears flowing, utter joy unlocked.

-- He is going to be the best big brother the world has ever seen, he is determined. He asks Derek for advice. He researches how to take care of babies. He wants to babysit! So many presents for the baby. So many plans made for every stage of baby's life. Cove is talking to his MC about them renewing their wedding vows one day and if he should ask Cliff to be his best man again or ask the new baby, and MC is like "........"

-- Kyra is involved, that's her baby's baby sibling and she is so happy for Cliff she can't stand it. You have to be cool with Kyra to be with Cliff too, that's a rule, but it's not like it'll be hard.

-- I said this in another one, but it's going to be really important for Cliff to keep the house in Sunset Bird if at all possible. That's where Cove did most of his growing up, and he knows it would be hard on him to lose it. Cove would be totally fine with giving up his old room that he's not ever going to use again for his new baby sibling.

-- Living by the beach, his best friends across the street, his oldest child living nearby and his baby safe in his arms, and you, the love of his life, by his side through all of it. What a life Cliff has.

Fic Reader Highlights from this year! Thanks @mostlymaudlin for putting this together! This is such a lovely idea.

Fic that made me laugh: Worst Disney Princess Ever by @hushed-chorus.

So technically I listened to Demi read this in the discord, but who's counting. This is such a cute and fun fic in the absolute best way. The pigeons! The undead plotting rats! Baz's resignation to being the Disney princess with his undead animals 😂 Demi, hearing you read this was my first time reading (or listening) to this fic, and it was INCREDIBLE.

Fic that made me cry: you never quite say (but i hear) by @that-was-anticlimactic.

Yeah, this fic made me sob. It reminded me so much of my best friend, who also has ADHD and a loud voice and loves talking about their special interests. I adore them so much and love listening to them talk, even if I don't really get DND. I remember immediately sending them this fic after reading it. This is such a special fic. I absolutely adore it, and Zuko is the best boyfriend.

Honorary mention to He's Cruel But You Don't Have to Be by notanotherfanficwriter. Definitely made me cry. Soren's character arc, especially in Finnegrin's Wake, is incredibly cathartic.

Fic that gave me a story hangover: None Of Those Tiny Fluff Monsters In The House by @roxan1930.

Whatever a story hangover is, this definitely gave me it. I ended up naming one of my micropets in the Finch self-care app Poof because of it. I sometimes go back and reread parts of it because it's just That good and fun.

Fic I want to discuss book-club style: The Gay Bar by @scone-lover.

I think the Carry On discord actually has discussed this one before! It was very very lovely. Both the discussion and the fic. I ended up making a cover of this fic. The fic is so lovely and a very real depiction of queer experiences. Sconey, you are a gift to this fandom.

Fic that got me a lil flustered: Symbiotic by @thrandilf.

Um, yes. Hello. I am very very bisexual for a slutty gay practically-a-god elf tying up another slutty gay pretty-much-a-vampire elf and letting her drink from him. Thank you.

Fic by one of my favorite authors: Blooming by @hoothalcyon.

If you only read one neurodivergent ruthari fic, read this one. It's a collection of oneshots with autistic Runaan and supportive husband Ethari, and is so SO sweet and wonderful. Each chapter is a little slice of warmth and happiness to cut through the difficulties of life. And it's just so lovely seeing autistic adults being written about.

Fic I reread more than once: Keep You Safe by Tragicomic_Warrior_Poet

Just... Hakoda being a good dad to Zuko. Yeah. I love seeing that in zukka fics. I come back to reread this one a lot. Hakoda is such a good dad, and you can definitely tell how much he loves his kids. (And how much he cares about Zuko.)

Fic I sent to everyone I know: On the Edge of Morning by LassieLowrider

I love seeing the Carry On characters being disabled. I don't agree with Baz's leg being healed, and I really wish Simon being neurodivergent was touched on more in the books. So you better believe I sent this to the Carry On discord when I found it! It's such a wonderful slice of life fic <22

Our Flag Means Death S2 Spoilers!

Something people doesn't seem to realize, is that pacing has a key impact to a story. Yes, the tale you want to tell can be the best someone has ever come up with, but if your pacing of it is awful, it pulls the whole story down with it. To rushed pacing? It loses meaning and impact, because there's no time to become attached. To slow paced? It becomes boring and uninteresting, finishing the book, show or movie feels more like a task than actual fun.

The first 4 episodes of season 2 of OFMD were awesome. The pacing was perfect, we had enough time to register what was happening and to sort out our emotions. I was a bit thrown off by ep 5. Because, while still good paced, you can start the see the problems because of the missing 2 eps ( for example the skipped fight, instead choosing to tell, not show. )-

Then episode 6 and 7 happened. And oh boi, I wanted to drop the show, only my love for it keeping me going.

I know that it isn't David Jenkins and the production team's fault, since the 2 episodes got cut, giving us the total of 8. But I can't excuse the decision to cram the plot of 10 eps into 8. If you have so little time left, why don't just cut some 'unimportant' storypoints?

Like Ned Lowe, he was introduced and died in the same episode. His purpose was to give GentleBeard development I know, that still doesn't give him enough importance to let him stay in the shortened version. Just like the second break-up from GentleBeard we got in ep 7.

Instead we got very out-of-character characters, Stede for example. I can see why he acts the way he does in ep 7. It would make sense, had he more time to have proper character development! Instead he feels weird, plus the very very uncomfortable second-hand embarrassment scenes (like the fight with Zheng). And sadly after ep 3, I couldn't feel the same chemistry GentleBeard had in S1. While there were cute scenes, like the end of ep5, I felt like something was missing to make me actually care. It's just my feelings, so not very important, but it was a bit disappointing.

The end of ep 7 gave me hope. Because it was a perfect way to introduce a villain, who's a genuine threat to our heros. And I maybe like Prince Ricky a bit to much. Then ep 8 came crushing down while drowing my love for OFMD, that made me ignore everything wrong with the second half of S2.

I like ep 8, well the first few minutes. It felt like I finally had time to see what's happening and David Jenkins didn't leave us completely clueless. ( Let's ignore the logic holes since it was is a comedy show and they were always there. ) And I was way to busy squieking like a pig of happiness to think critical.

I have many criticism points, but will only focus on one;

Izzy's death. And by god, I. Am. Pissed. Killing a character that is beloved by the fandom isn't the problem. While I love him, he's my favorite, I also love a good ol' angst. But he was in the middle of his redemption arc, and ending this with death is just such weak writing. I have nothing against killing a character off for development. Iron man for example, his whole story is about becoming a better person and jumping over his ego. And it ends just like Izzy in death. But Tony was through his arc, his death was the final, showing he has changed, showing he would do everything to save the universe and more important, the people he loves.

If Izzy died at the start of or before S2 I wouldn't complain, because it would've been perfect for him. Maybe if he died a more impactful death I wouldn't write this. But you can't make a character finally change and then destroy the meaning of it by killing him off in the fucking middle of the change. It would've had so much more impact seeing how he becomes a part of the crew he loathed not even a few weeks ago. Episode 5 did that great, while a bit fast. I like how he and Stede get along. Growing closer. It was a bit too fast paced, and I hoped for them to finally communicate, not talk. The same with Ed, I wanted him and Izzy to finally talk to eachother and not through eachother. However, giving us acutally communication while Izzy's fucking dying is not how you give impact. (And credit where credit's due; I really like that dialog, it was beautiful and the right words choosen to explain how Izzy feels)

Not to forget what a meaning it conveys. Izzy always did what he thought was right, even when it was completely wrong. But when he finally grows and begins to do actually what is right and let's go of Ed, he dies?

Still, I wouldn't say that they shouldn't have done a season 2 at all. It has great potential and I can see what they were going for. So, while it has it's problem's, it's nothing what a good fanfic can't fix. So I look forward to the amazing works that will build up on this hot mess and / or 'correct' it.

So bye, I'll go cry and give the last three episodes of S2 of OFMD, the last 20 minutes of S2 Go treatment T^T (except that GO S2 was fucking fantastic through the whole season)

here's my list of the best bl kisses with a few of my favorites. in my own personal opinion.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

●dark blue kiss

i think p'aof went very galaxy brain with the idea of an underwater kiss and for that, he is very valid because it's a very iconic kiss. the show itself could have had some work but then again, it was 2018. everything was wrong back then.

● still 2gether

NOW i talk a lot of shit about this one AND WITH GOOD REASONS. HOWEVER, gosh mantype stole the show for me WITH ONE SINGLE KISS. imagine that. it was groundbreaking FOR ME. too bad we will never gonna see them together again.

● 2 moons 2

this was the only time joong knew how to kiss. no further explanation.

● history 2: crossing the line

even though this whole scene was a dream, it was still a marvelous experience and for someone (me) that was just starting into this bl bs, this one sealed the deal for me.

● history 3: make our days count

this whole scene... you just had to be there. also they had the most happiest ending ever. for sure for sure.

● history 3: trapped

what can i say? taiwan always put their money in those workshops. their plots might be a little outta pocket with the incest and the getting killed because of some salt but i can always trust them to put on a show.

● manner of death

i have no explanations WHY this is a favorite. it's just too good. and it's not only their porn-level kisses, the show itself was a masterpiece. if no one got me, i know maxtul got me. manifesting a show with them again.

●lovely writer

the show itself didn't click with me. too many sound effects and some of the characters were very annoying to me. HOWEVER, the food was very tasteful. let's see it again.

● a tale of thousand stars

i really debated between this one and the final kiss but i had to choose this one because i feel this one is more meaningful. it was a promise that they would see each other again and i'm a sucker for promises. still, p'aof lost some points for giving us one single actual kiss for the very last minute.

● like in the movies

picture this. we are in the middle of a pandemic, unemployed, some places are starting to open back up, thailand is in shambles so they can't release anything. enter the philippines with the vision of starting business with the bl industry and they release this masterpiece. it was such a good show and they had the material for a season 2 but sadly, their time is over. 10/10 tho.

● we best love: no.1 for you

gosh, taiwan. you will always be the best.

this was a very emotional scene and they truly deliver with the kiss and the tears and the bridge. it was all 10/10

● bad buddy

I MEAN, DO I EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN??? like damn. now i do have some complaints here and there but this kiss right here??? it was such an experience. like the girlies that watched this while it was airing know how it felt because not a lot of people were prepared for how ep 5 would leave the whole fandom in shambles. the confession plus the kiss PLUS how it ended??? emotional damage 100. incredible.

●enchante

LISTEN!!! YOU BETTER LISTEN!!!! because these bitches, as rookies as they were, DELIVERED. see because even though enchante was a flop in terms of views and gmmtv never giving them an inch of promotion, my kings ate each other on camera and gave me the most toe-curling kiss ever. i don't care if you thought the plot was silly or you want to act funny and say forcebook look related, whatever that means, they did what needed to be done. end of discussion.

●not me

"but offgun had better kisses!!!!111!!!" i don't care about any of that. i came here because babygirl first is a homie hopper and he was going to kiss another man on camera.

the show itself was really good, a little bit draggy towards the end (and there were some Things with some characters that the fans weren't that happy with) but overall, they put on a great performance. HOWEVER, danyok will forever be famous. a tragedy too.

●to my star

GOSH. the originals. the men that weren't afraid of success. see because up until this point, kbls were a flop in terms of kisses (some even in plot) and their first kiss was a flop too BUT THEN this final scene came and robbed me at gunpoint. i was so sure we would never get a proper kiss AND THE BITCHES CAME AND SLAYED ME. not only they gave me a proper meal, it lasted for hours. i was left in shambles. 14569722/10.

●to my star 2

i have to put both scenes because what the fuck. I MEAN, WHAT THE FUCK MAN???

there's absolutely nothing i can say but enjoy??? i guess??? they said "oh, the industry is a flop. let us fix it" AND THEY DID... now the show itself had its ups and downs; a lot of people didn't like how it was made and how the plot was going; it was devastation after devastation and no one could see the light at the end of the tunnel. personally, if they had done the plot a little different, a lot more people would have been happier, including me. but that doesn't take away the fact that they killed it, amazing performance and the kisses speak for itself.

● my secret love

now was this show groundbreaking? no. in reality, it was more of the same stuff we all have seen but the catch with this one is that the acting is good enough and the plot is engaging, and you can actually see that some actions lead to repercussions in the show. however, i do have to talk about these two. they stole the show and they weren't even the main couple and my theory is that because they didn't have enough screentime, they decided to go all out with their scenes and god, what a time. this was just the beginning of this scene btw, there's more to it.

● golden blood

this one goes to show that sometimes you just need vibes, exceptionally good chemistry, some silly characters and a small mukbang. golden blood was a disaster in like everything, so when i tell you i stayed for them, i'm serious. they were the only reason i kept watching. the rest? i don't even remember because i skipped most of it.

● cutie pie

see, decisions were made when they filmed this. the show was very silly itself and there were some plotholes that were ultimately overshadowed by zee's tongue. i honestly don't remember much. i just remember the iconic kisses and how tonnam stole every single scene (and that's how he has his lead role now). also perth. but those workshops came through because all four of them ate this (and each other).

● cutie pie 2 you

before anyone says something about zeenunew, save it. i watched this long ass advertisement just to get nuersyn crumbs. that's it. i don't even remember how many episodes it had but it was so unnecessary. HOWEVER, tutoryim came and gave us the performance of their lives. i have absolutely no complaints with those two. would i ever want a special focused on them? yes, 100%. i also have to add maxnat also had a great performance with the little to no screentime they had. we were living off crumbs, for sure.

● you're my sky

oh, bestie. when i tell you this show made me climb my walls every saturday last year, i'm not kidding. THESE TWO, MY GOD. for the girlies that watched this show, you know what i mean. the tension was OFF THE ROOF. THE WORST PART? open ending. the most toe-curling tension right here just to get a drunken kiss and then NOTHING. the most excruciating 12 weeks.

● don't say no

this show was a wild ride. like, the toxicity surrounding leo and fiat? it was too much and the plot was nonexistent, which it was the point. basically, it was "two best friends in a room, they might kiss" and they did, so what happens next? this is the "next". how they actually act now that they are in a relationship. fiat had a lot of baggage plus being horny. those two fucked like rabbits and NOTHING was left to the imagination. the biggest surprise was smartjames. they had an awful ending but at least we got good food.

●blueming

you know what they say, tms walked so that the other kbls could run and this is a prime example. then again, it's the same director, so there's a standard these shows need to have and damn, i think they exceeded. now, the show was very different from the manhwa but it was still a good show enough that there might be season 2.

● kissable lips

compared to some of this list, this kiss is not even that good. HOWEVER, in the context of kbls, it was really memorable, especially when you have watched the show and the only thing that you can remember is that one of them was a vampire and died but died after having a good fuck... honestly, they had $5 and a dream and they made it work.

●cherry blossom after winter

the dream kisses are always the best ones.

this was a very cute show overall and i think it had the first m|m couple that gets engaged with a ring and everything in a kbl. very iconic, if you ask me. very brave too.

●cupid's last wish

listen, i'm not a fan of the body swapping trope but at least they went original with this one (at least no one died... side eyeing the shipper). and i'm pretty sure the director told earthmix to go wild with this one. pretty sure it was the pent up energy from atots. what a performance. a think there are a few kisses from this show. great food.

I really love the way copperbadge writes the Avengers team dynamics. Found family is one of my favorite things ever, so it always fills me with joy when a writer does it so incredibly well. Plus, the humor and feel-good vibes are top notch, and the dialogue has made me laugh out loud on several occasions. Reasons why I love it: Awww, not Steve being jealous because he wants to be the one taking care of Tony, he's so precious. I really love all the talk about the arc reactor and its influence on Tony's health. And Steve employing the same remedies he received back when he was sick feels really nostalgic, especially with that nod to his memories of his mother. This fic is really great, and if you haven't already, I hope you go and check it out!

A Partial Dictionary Of The 21st Century By Captain Steve Rogers, US Army

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 13,888 Tags: Getting Together, Loss of Virginity, Steve vs the Future

Summary: Steve is adapting well to the new millennium, and he has the dictionary to prove it.

Reasons why I love it: I take a special kind of joy in fics that talk about all the ways Steve is adapting to his new life in the future, and this is one of the best. I love all of the other Avenger cameos, and Steve's developing relationship with Tony is just delightful. Plus, all the little tidbits of Steve loving futuristic things put a giant grin on my face. I love this fic so much, so I hope you check it out, if you haven't already!

Summary: Steve discovers a secret simulation on the game server.

Reasons why I love it: The Sims was one of my favorite games growing up, so I'm really happy that it found its way into fandom the way it has. Also, the plot twist of who created the simulation in this fic is really fucking sweet. I love this one so much, and I bet you will too!

Summary: Five times the Avengers pawned kids off on the Jean Grey School.

Reasons why I love it: Long-suffering Logan is so much fun. Also love how casually everyone drops off kids in front of Jean Grey School like it's nothing. This fic is hilarious, especially if you love the X-Men as much as I do, so I highly suggest you go and check it out.

If you also enjoy cooking, she's more than happy to share the kitchen with you, though she can be a little bit particular about things, especially with her new dishes - everything must be prepared in just the right way to bring out the best flavor, after all! You two can definitely get some quality bonding time in while preparing meals together, sharing advice and making jokes the whole time you cook.

If you don't want to cook with her, that's perfectly fine too! She doesn't mind at all. You can always help her gather the best ingredients for her dishes! After all, that's far more time-consuming than the cooking part, so you'll have plenty of time to chat while you forage for the best ingredients. She'll especially appreciate it if you can help her with hunting, regardless if her sights are set on boar or slimes!

Xiangling obviously loves everything related to food and cooking, but that's not everything you do together. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new things with you! She has such an adventurous spirit and she would be so fun to explore with! She's constantly pointing out interesting things to you as you travel together.

Plus, Guoba is so cute! Hanging out with Xiangling means you get to see him a lot. He doesn't talk, but he's very sweet! He listens intently whenever you talk to him and responds with simple gestures. He's also more than happy to help carry things for you on your adventures, and he often brings you and Xiangling pretty things he finds along the way!

I also feel like Xiangling would be the type to make you friendship bracelets or something similar. She would make you something more permanent than food to show how much she values your friendship! It could be a bracelet, or it could be matching charms on necklaces, whatever you'd prefer. She'd probably also make a matching one for Guoba!

All in all I feel like you'd have a very wholesome friendship, and you'd be such good friends!

Do you relate to your favorite character(s)?

Yes and no.

My fondness for China and Norway isn't one based on their characters because I haven't fleshed them out (yet) in my head. I have no idea how to write for either of them! I genuinely would love to spend a day cooking, painting, or just talking with Yao. I yearn for platonic companionship and Yao isn't chaotic and we share similar interests. Our aesthetic interests are very different, but oh well!

I don't know what Lukas has to offer tbh, he's entirely eye candy to me (sobbing).

My fondness for France and Ukraine has to do with self imposed headcanons.

My Francis is honestly probably ooc -- but I don't care. I have taken these guys and run away with them. A lot of my Hetalia writing is Human AU because I have a hard time connecting with immortal creatures as someone who cannot see what even the next year of their own life looks like. I guess what Francis and I share is a fondness for food and art (like with Yao), but those aren't activities I would want to do with Francis. We can both be dramatic, I will over-dress just to go out with a friend, and we're both a bit pathetic. While my Francis isn't like early canon France (you know what I mean...), he's still a romantic. I am not.

I don't think it's a necessarily rare headcanon, but I see Miss Ukraine as fat. She's plus size to me and that's something we share. I've been wanting to write a Kateryna centric oneshot about the difficulties and mental struggles that come with shopping as a fat person, but I haven't been in a reading/writing mindset recently and this topic would be a bit taxing on me. One day, though!! I'm still formulating my characterization of her... CanUkr oneshot is STILL in development hell.

TLDR: Yes because I impose bits of myself onto Francis and Kateryna for RP and writing purposes and also for comfort. No because a good handful of my favorites (including some not named) are just little guys I'd like to put in a shoebox and shake around.

10. How long have you been in the fandom? What's your lore?

In 7th grade a friend told me I might like Hetalia because I liked geography and history was my strongest subject in school. I cannot remember when exactly I checked it out, but I definitely was into by Spring 2014. I literally have emails from back then of memes we exchanged...

My best friend and I met online at the end of that school year and we actually started talking because he played this video over skype screen share. Fast forward to the summer and I'm drawing, writing fic, and we made our Hetalia Instagram account. There were three of us. It was essentially just a repost account because we were all in middle school. I never really interacted with others from the fandom other than the two friends I ran the account with, both of whom I still talk to <3

Our instagram account died off sometime around 2018. We deleted it around 2020-2021.

I came back to Hetalia by a freak accident. I was going through my old google drive and rediscovered the three-way-POV fic my friends and I wrote and immediately ran into our group chat. It was a bad fic. Basically Hetalia in the setting of Outlast meets FNAF vibes. Yes, it was a Wattpad fic... (now deleted). We made the joke of rewriting it, but that thought only lasted for one night. Then out of curiosity I got back into listening to the official character songs, and that's what did it for me... (shoutout to "Aiyah, 4,000 Years," "Mein Gott," "Overflowing Passion," "Maji Kandou ☆ Hong Kong Night," and the Hetaloid song "Brother Complex").

Got back into reading fic. Somehow I went through my original stint in the fandom without reading "Gutters" and that's what pulled me back into fanfic. Made an A03. Eventually figured, why the hell not, and made a Hetalia Tumblr so I could stop using my personal account.

I did have that hiatus, but I guess I could say I've been into Hetalia for 10 years now, which is nuts. I definitely had a period of regret and revulsion from 2019-2022, but still kept up with "oh, they made a new season" or revisiting some old art.

4. What's a headcanon you need to work out?

A lot of my headcanons have to do with Human AU FACE fam because I use them to cope with things, but I guess something that's been on my mind lately is the Tudor dynasty. My senior thesis, far before I got back into Hetalia, was actually supposed to be about the Tudors, but I abandoned it for something else. I recently got a book about the entire dynasty for my birthday and have yet to take a peek at it. I would love to write a fic where France or Marianne visits England over several Christmases to explore the relationship of Arthur/Francis or Alice/Marianne as England & France's relationship changes through the changing of the monarchs and especially as Henry VIII cycles through wives like calendars. I have to do research about it, though. I need to see how realistic it would be considering the on-again-off-again relationship between England and France (1520 The Field Of The Cloth Of Gold meeting vs Henry wanting to prove his military strength and trying to invade France). Funnily enough, I know almost nothing about France in the 15th and 16th centuries outside of :

1. Mary Tudor's [Henry VIII's sister, not his daughter, Mary I] brief stint as Queen Consort of France & Anne Boleyn's subsequent time at the French court as a lady in waiting to Mary

2. how Henry VIII repeatedly used war against France as an attempt to prove his strength [eyeroll]

To be honest, that fic is entirely an excuse to explore the different influence each of Henry's queens has over the court through various means. I don't think anyone else would really be interested though, so it may be something I keep to myself.

She is an agent of chaos and I hate her so much, it's great 💜 I don't have a lot of experience doing the just straight up ridiculously depraved, but writing her is also giving me practice for writing future LRH adjacent fics involving Gabriel 👀👀👀

8) uuuuhhhhhh I like cuddles 😅😅😅😅 I'm fine with both, just not big on smut. I think I'm a little bit romantically starved tbh because sometimes I pull up a comfort fic that I know is gonna make me cry because I just kinda *need* to cry if that makes sense? I'm asexual and finding a romantic partner is hard 🥲 But anyway yeah I'm fine with both! RN I'm on a baby fic kick so send me babies 💜💜

9) My current comfort character is Patton from Sanders Sides, and no one is surprised. 😅 I just vibe with him a lot because in also a very emotionally-open and emotionally-invested person, I tend to be a caretaker and I like to be prepared in case someone around me needs help. And RN with fandom drama especially, I just feel connected with Patton. I also experienced a period of my life where I tried to help but made some mistakes and then was demonized and called an abuser, manipulative, gaslighter, horrible person and then I found out I was autistic so the things I was doing (like leaving a party to sit outside and decompress when I was overwhelmed and crying) weren't as common-sense and understood as I thought (aka said behavior was called me going off and crying to isolate people and make them come take care of me) ANYWAY. It's kinda funny because I've always bounced between Patton and Virgil for TS; it was mostly Virgil at first and then I had a gap where Good Omens took over, and then it was back to TS but now more vibing with Patton

10) I can't really think of a comfort character that would be considered "not good" besides like. The characters I call my "Anime Boyfriends", Jake English and Dirk Strider from Homestuck, but that's more because like,,, the creator of Homestuck kinda uses a *lot* of slurs,,,, but also I only read like 1/4 of the whole comic,,,, and I go off of fanon interpretations,,,, from ask blogs c2012,,, so.........

11) I do not understand the obsession with Janus and Remus. I'm gonna admit - I don't like them in canon. At all. I am ok with most fanon interpretations, but I just don't like them. I like the "Core Four" (Logan, Virgil, Patton, Roman) and that's it. And I do NOT look forward to the "orange side". And to be 100%, I get frustrated because I want to read poly fic of just the core four and so many people are tossing Janus and Remus in the mix and I just want to find the ones that don't and it takes *forever* to filter out all of the different variants of ships. 🥲 obv I'm not going to tell anyone else to stop enjoying their ships and characters, but I'm not gonna go searching for the stuff that I don't enjoy, either.

the fact that she always acts like she doesnt care about what people think of her but she secretly gets very happy when people think she's really cool! in the finale for pso2 she complains about all the work she got sent to do but gets outed "you were very excited when they told you you were our ace in the hole" :')

this is kind of a biased question but im playing genshin a lot lately and i keep thinking of how she could translate into teyvat + the game's core mechanics, like what element she'd use and her weapon type (since she normally uses twin machine guns, and there are no dual wield weapons in genshin)

im not very sure! but i know she definitely loves her friends and family a lot, and i love mine too

we dont see her interact much outside of her very close circle but the anime did give us some interactions between her and matoi that i really appreciate, because we see her more gentle side even if just for a little bit

she's already very close to aurora so if not afin, then her. they both share very similar guilt and did decide together they would work to be better people to make up for it. plus aurora already does get eucie to talk about her feelings in the open, which is very, VERY rare

there's not many fics for her other than some my friends have written (to which im very biased LOL) so i cant really opinionate on this

So I made a TWST major characters tier list...

Premise: Ranking this based on how I personally like them and how much enjoyment I have writing them. So, this is heavily biased.

Short Answer:

My Beloved (platonically): Tier reserved especially for my most favorite boy in the whole canon and I will write for him.

You earn a special place: Really like them and would write for them, but not as much as My Beloved (platonically).

Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition: Mostly neutral but I have personal headcanon for them.

Actual Normal Amount: Don't really have much opinion about them.

Me against what TV told me: Fandom ruins them for me but I have personal enjoyment from personal headcanon.

It's like looking at the mirror and I don't like it: Nuff said.

Born in Superhell: Fandom ruins them for me and I will avoid them mostly.

Long Answer:

My Beloved (platonically):

Riddle

Riddle is my first boy and my favorite boy. Look at my son! Starting from his design: I love them. I have a soft spot for princely/young master-ish characters, thus Riddle has it. He looks tiny and I want to squish him. His personality is also something I like: jerk with a heart of gold. His method is not the best, but he always has the best interest. And we actually see his character development at the end of Episode 1, so that's a huge plus. His situation with his mother kinda reminds me of my personal relationship with my mom back then, but we changed, so I can hope Riddle and Mama Rosehearts' relationship can be better.

And I love writing him, whether for ordinary fic or OPTU. He's just so much fun to write, like, he's trying his best guys. Riddle/Jonah is my original pairing and even if they don't end up together, they still are good friends. ROnah is my comfort ship. He's also one of the most well-built characters in my fic: has a backstory, extended family and relationship, and after story that hadn't changed for the longest time. And writing him from the start of the fic until today, I can see the growth in him from the harsh prefect to a more caring boy. I just like him very much.

You earn a special place:

Ace, Deuce & Grim:

I'm putting this together because you can't talk about one without mentioning the others. They are a package. They're sharing brain cells though Ace usually has the most custody over them. They've been with us since the beginning and it's hard to imagine TWST without the three of them.

Between the three of them, I really like Deuce the most. I just love to see someone trying to redeem himself. His Wish Upon a Star Personal Story? *chef kiss* I adore it. The screen time he gets in Episode 5 caught me by the throat and made me love him even more. He's such a good boy.

Grim comes second because he's in the same situation as Crowley and not everyone like him. Yes, he is annoying but I see him as a little brother. And really I can see the slow but sure character development in him. Like, compare him in Episode Prologue and Episode 4. And honestly, he's more of a main character in that game!Yuu (game) ever was.

Ace comes in last because honestly, I don't have much to say about him. Like, he's cheeky and is a piece of shit, but he's kinda close off as well. There are a lot of things that we don't know about him, including his unique magic, which kinda makes him kinda an abstract. But he is entertaining.

In OPTU, I really enjoy writing the three of them. I do have a backstory for Grim and extended family for Ace and Deuce, but none of them has an After Story just yet. Ace/Deuce in particular is a pairing that I really enjoy writing. It's just blooming feelings and subtle gestures. If I have to pick one pairing that will come true in the fic, it'll be ADeuce.

Azul:

Azul is a piece of shit and I love him for that. I just really love bitch characters who are in for the lols. And he's just entertaining honestly.

And hoo boy, OPTU was a ride. I'll never forget the time I'm adapting Episode 3. I wasn't expecting to get attached to Jonah and Azul's relationship, but here we are. Seeing people shipping them makes me like shipping them. They have the most potential for romance seeing that Azul is also the first one to narrate his feeling in recent chapters. So, if Jonah is going to have a romantic relationship first, it'll be with Azul.

Sebek

Sebek only appears a few times and is not really popular. So, of course, I'm gravitating toward him. I love underrated characters and Sebek honestly is entertaining. His loud voice is very funny and yet he's very dedicated to his role as Malleus' guard. He's just a little dork, like a puppy. And of course I enjoy writing him despite I haven’t done it much. He brings me joy.

Crowley:

I think I'm in the minority who likes Crowley. He's silly and sus at the same time and I love that about him.

OPTU-wise, you know I love Birddad. Crowley and Jonah having a Tony Start-Peter Parker father-son relationship is something I would die for. It's also funny when everyone is surprised that I write Crowley in such a dad way. I also have a long backstory for him, which involves the fate of the universe, but that's a story for another time because it's not well-built just yet.

Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition:

Cater & Trey:

Lumping them together as well because I wish I can see more of them.

While I don't write Cater that much, I still find enjoyment in him. I love the Caterella and Former Dorm Leader headcanon and kinda implemented it. I also love that there's a hint of something melancholic about him and I really want to read more of him.

Trey earns a big point for being the big brother and I just really love that archetype. Other than expanding this Family Relationship and his Backstory, I don't really have much. But I do love his relationship with Riddle.

Kalim:

Kalim is an interesting character but he's not enough to go up a tier. I do love his development between Episode 4 and 5 (one of the few on-screen developments and I appreciate it). I honestly really want to know more about him.

Of course, I can't talk about OPTU Kalim without mentioning his own arc. Man, it was a ride to write his arc. It was also the first time I ever write what is technically a breakup story. And he actually makes me reconsider Kalim/Jamil end game. While I still ship them, in some context, I can't make them endgame at least for now.

Vil:

A similar situation with Sebek: I'm gravitating to someone who isn't a top pick in the community. I really admire Vil and his hardworking attitude, especially in Episode 5 despite the uneven screen time he gets. I don't really like how fandom treats him, especially bringing up that one time he slaps Epel. But really, the twerp started it.

Of course, in OPTU I kinda expand it. While I have to say goodbye to my Bastard Prince Vil headcanon, I still have a soft spot for Future Headmaster Vil. It's always fun to see the reaction of Vil's 'Uncle Dire' for the first time.

Actual Normal Amount:

I don't really have much to say about the characters in this tier mostly because I'm not that invested in them, so this will be a quick summary.

Ruggie doesn't really give me the strongest impression. I do like his Aladdin vibes and I do have some headcanon for his family, at least before the reveal in his birthday card.

Jack is a good boy. A wolf boy so I get a bit of the appeal, but not enough to make me interested in him and I also haven't read Port Fest Event so that can change.

Jamil is fine. I understand his struggles, but that doesn't mean I have to love him.

Epel is a twat and has a bit of toxic masculinity, but I kinda like his Lab Coat story. Don't like his Ceremonial Robe. And he has too much screen time in Episode 5. Other than that he's fine.

Rook is fine. He's in such a mood in Episode 5. The harassment toward Yana and his Voice Actor is really unnecessary though.

Ortho is cute and can be funny. But it's really hard to separate him from his brother.

Lilia and Silver are a package, can't talk to one without the other. I like the father-son relationship.

I have nothing to say about the teacher, but I like Trein the most for his grandpa vibes. Vargas is entertaining. Sam and Crewel doesn’t leave the biggest impression, but I’m in the minority who doesn’t really like being called ‘good boy’ by Crewel

Me against what TV told me:

Leona:

Starting this by saying that the more I write Leona, the more I like him, at least in OPTU. He is an asshole and I will never forgive the half-episode flashback, but I can see his potential. He's not the entertaining version of an asshole like Riddle or Vil, he's just unlikable to me for the longest time. He's actually the first character that I actually gave an After Story, along with expanding his relationship with Farena. His Chrismas Arc section is in my top favorite chapter to write.

But, if I like Sebek and Vil because most don't prefer them, the opposite can be said of Leona and many below him. He's a popular character and the more people ship/simp/thirst on him, I tend to scoot away from them.

And I just don't like 'herbivore (affectionate)'. Leona's nickname to the player is not a cute nickname, but many treat it as a cute nickname. Leona apologize to Ruggie when?

Jade & Floyd:

Lumping them together because they kinda have a problem. Shady eels can be interesting, but I don't like how the fandom treats them. Uwu Jade and Floyd are the bane of my existence. Floyd's nickname is derogatory, not affectionate. Floyd's squeezing is a threat, not a teasing hug. Jade and Floyd can kill you and they won't be sorry. But their trio with Azul is peak comedy. They really shine in Episode 4, however, that is not enough to make me love the twins. And I don't really write about them, so other than the Leech Famiglia headcanon, I don't have anything for them.

It's like looking at the mirror and I don't like it:

Idia:

I'm in a dilemma with Idia. I can understand his past, I understand his struggle, and I can vibe with his attitude. He's just like me, and I'm just like him. And I hate it, just like how I hate myself. Which is funny. Usually, when you have a character that reminds you of yourself, you'll like them. But I just don't like Idia. This doesn't help that he rarely appears in the main story and suddenly he's a boss. He's pathetic, I'm pathetic, and I don't like it.

Malleus:

Okay. Listen. This is a very controversial opinion, I know.

Malleus, on his own, I will put in Actual Normal Amount, maybe even Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition. He's a prince and royalty drama is my favorite trope. He's lonely, so I can explore more of his loneliness. His bond with the Diasomnia gang might be an interesting subject to see.

But! Like Leona: the more popular character becomes, the more I will avoid them. And because Malleus is the poster boy, it's only a matter of time before I get annoyed with seeing him on my dashboard.

But for some reason, unlike Leona, my dislike on Malleus got worse. And we're not even talking about the mess that is Endless Halloween Event. I'm mostly talking about the fandom. Malleus for me is the biggest victim in fandom treatment. TWST is not an otome game yet we're treating it like an otome game, and the dialogues that were often chosen are Malleus' dialogue. Especially after the Glorious Masquerade event. This extended to Malleyuu. Every interaction between Malleus and Yuu is often treated as romantic. And as someone who is figuring out her romantic orientation (but is probably around the aro spectrum), this is tiring. Yes, I know you ship them, but you don’t have to spell it in front of my face.

Another part is because of some toxic fans. It feels like not liking Malleus is a sin. I remember one of my friend getting hate messages from anon because they said they don't like Malleus. I swear if I get hate messages or anon pushing me that I don't understand Malleus enough, you'll just prove my point.

And because of this, I don't enjoy writing Malleus. I can try, mostly exploring anything outside a romantic relationship, but there's this desire to make Malleus a bastard out of spite.

My first impression of them- I'll be honest, guren was just some guy to me when I first read vampire reign at the tender age of 13. I literally just didn't really care about him that much until one of my old friends who I dragged forcibly into ons with me started reading catastrophe and went NO REALLY THESE GUYS ARE SO GAY and I had to see the light.

When I think I truly started to like them- see above.

A song that reminds me of them- you know and have known for a very long time that I have a playlist for Guren and it's all the most 2000s emo amv music. A very selective few of them would be

-Violet Hill by Coldplay (lamenting what the world has become over the years with hints of war, catholicism, and political turmoil) plus a Hefty dose of "lover that may be dead or not dead and remains out of reach and yearned after"

-The Calendar by P!ATD . This is a real bittersweet one because said old friend was insane about it and was the first one to point to its. Gureshin-y-ness. Comments: After a very long break I’m back to writing requests! All other peeps are on the way I promise!

So, I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption lately and I have to say I can’t stand Bonnie. I’m sorry, I know she’s supposed to be this head strong independent woman, and I support that but I can’t stand her voice anytime I’m doing a mission for her. Why is she screaming at me, why is she insulting John so much, please Bonnie calm down QAQ. And I like the idea of Micah and Mary-Beth ever since watching Micah get rejected by Mary-Beth in Chapter 3 (was it chapter 3? idek it was so long ago). I may have went a little overboard focusing on Micah’s insecurities and emotions, and may have turned it into a character study, but it’s okay XD. I hope you enjoy this!

Micah Bell the third only ever had 2 things on his mind: money and women. Money was easy. He had always had a knack for landing a score, whether that was through violence or his cunning mind. Money turned him on almost as much as women did, but women were a much more difficult thing for Micah to conquer.

They were a mystery that usually just frustrated him more than it was worth to touch their soft flesh and feel their warm bodies. Even whores stayed clear of him. It was humiliating. The women at camp only glared and gave fake smiles at best when he was around.

But oh, when Arthur fuckin’ Morgan was around all the women flocked to him. What did Arthur have that he didn’t? He drank just as much booze as he did, sure Morgan was maybe a better shot then Micah, but they still did about the same amount of chores at the camp. Well… when Charles or that O’Driscoll cunt didn’t already have them done…

Yet, all the women, even Abigail who was techincally John’s, would go to him for every one of their needs or wants. Morgan was gone most days and they still gathered around him when he returned and asked after him every waking second of the day. It disgusted Micah that they blantantly held favortism.

He would never approach Tilly, even if she had the most beautiful dark skin and wore that yellow dress that made her look like a little sunflower. He wouldn’t stoop that low.

Karen had nice tits and wasn’t afraid to drink, but she was loud. God awful loud, like a bird choking on a fish. Plus, Micah was sure Sean would throw a fit if he ever tried to make a move on Karen. Sean’s annoying Irish whine was almost worse than Karen’s drunken squawking.

Abigail, oh she was pretty. He cursed the day John went and got her pregnant, officially ending her whoring days five years ago. She even had a cute snorting laugh, but only Morgan and Hosea seemed to get her to let it out. Her kid, whatever his name was, was a pest that would run around without a care in the world. Not to mention if Micah was messing around with her, he’d have Marston, Morgan and the Old man gunning for him. Blegh, no thank you.

Miss Grimshaw was too old for Micah’s standards. She acted like there was a stick up her ass, and maybe there was. She used to be Dutch’s bitch all those years ago, making it a bit of a taboo to even attempt to approach her. Same went for Molly, as pretty as she was. Those two were off limits, as far as Micah could tell.

Mrs. Adler was just about as wild as she was attractive, and she would probably cut his pecker off if he approached her. She was sobbing most the time anyway.

That just left Mary-Beth, the hopeless romantic. Micah genuinely liked Mary-Beth and her low cut dress. Sure, he didn’t really understand some of her rambling wants about some fantasy guy who oftentimes sounded a lot like Morgan, but her freckles and the way she smiled when talking about her book always made his heart thump a little faster.

He had tried being nice to her before Blackwater. Greetings here and there, tips of his hat, that sort of bullshit. The damn freeze of Colter happened and everyone was in a piss-poor mood before they traveled down to New Hanover. Then he got imprisoned in Strawberry and was away from camp for nie on two weeks.

But now that they were at Clemens point and things were quiet, Micah planned to make his move. He had been in the Rhodes General store buying cigarettes when he saw a leather bound jounral on the shelf. He wasn’t one for journaling, it was a waste of time to write down his own thoughts, but Mary-Beth liked writing those silly little romances.

He approached the counter with the pack of cigarettes and the journal, laying them down in a huff. His heart was jerking uncomfortably in his chest, and his back was sweating through his shirt. The clerk tried to make small talk with him, but he just shot him a glare from under the brim of hat and went on his way.

Baylock greeted him with a snort and a stomp of his hoof. The tempermental nag even had the balls to sidestep when Micah went to mount him after putting the journal safely in his saddle bags.

“I will cut those damn balls off, boy, test me again.” Micah hissed through his bristly moustache.

The cobalt steed calmed and allowed Micah to swing himself into his saddle. On the way back to Clemens Point, Micah made it a point to stab his spurs into Baylock’s flanks as punishment for his transgressions. Baylock pinned his ears and wheezed as they galloped through the thick woodland that kept Clemens Point hidden from prying eyes.

Williamson on guard duty could hardly ask who was there before Micah flew by and cantered to the designated horse area. The O’Driscoll looked up from the detailing of a saddle when Baylock nickered and came to a sliding halt.

“Hey, O’Driscoll, unsaddle my horse.” Micah shouted while sliding off Baylock and searching through his saddle bag for the newly bought journal.

“M-mister I ain-”

“I don’t think I asked, O’Driscoll. Are we gonna have a problem?” The O’Driscoll shook his head, bowing to hide under his ridiculous straw hat. “Good, now be a good boy and do what I asked.”

Micah didn’t turn around to see if he followed through with his orders, his mind more set on the beautiful Gaskill sitting at the center table. Her hair was done up with half of it up and the other cascading in curled locks down her back. Clad in a maroon skirt, white low cut shirt and dark pink waistcoat, she looked radiant with the way the bright sun caught on her necklace made her breasts pop.

The only problem was that damn Morgan was talking to her at the table. He couldn’t just go up and give her the journal without an explanation, especially with Morgan right there. He’d be made a laughing stock. With a growl, Micah made a beeline for his tent. He would wait until that night, corner Mary-Beth to give her the journal and express himself to her. Yes, that was a good plan.

Micah sighed softly as he sat on his bedroll and looked down at the leather, flipping through the pages. They were good quality, or he thought they were. Surely, Mary-Beth would appreciate the gift. An uneasy feeling settled in his gut, something he only felt when something went wrong. He wasn’t a nervous human, but the thought of courting Mary-Beth made his stomach twist up and heart skip a beat. Maybe this was a bad idea? No, any idea he came up with was never a bad one, just needed some improvising if it went wrong.

In the heat of the Lemoyne sun, Micah laid out on his bed roll and tipped his hat down to hide his face, hands cupped under his head. His hair felt greasy and tangled, maybe he should go to the Flat Iron and wash up a bit before approaching Mary-Beth? His shirt also felt damp and rough against his skin.

With a snarl of frustration, Micah sat up and trampled around his tent to grab a sliver of soap and a ragged wash cloth. A clean dark grey button up lay at the bottom of his chest, he hadn’t worn it since… he didn’t know when. Rolling his eyes, he grabbed the shirt and left his tent with a flourish. The things he did for women.

No one spared him a glance as he walked to the lakeshore, following it until he found a partly hidden cove. He stripped down and waded into the water, scrubbing at his skin with the soap wrapped in the cloth until the blonde hairs on his chest were suddy and the faint smell of cedar filled his nostrals. He spent more time on washing his hair, dunking his head under the water and latehring it with soap.

Scratching at his moustache made him think maybe he should shave too, but the stubborn part of his mind told him he was already doing too much to impress Mary-Beth. He shook his head like a dog and wrung out the long strands before exiting the cove and using his old shirt to pat himself dry. Before leaving the cove he saw a flower nestled in a patch of bulrush. Its petals were white that bled to a dark pink. It reminded Micah of that marooon getup Mary-Beth was wearing at the domino table earlier.

He picked the flower without a second thought and hid it in the folds of his red shirt.

He returned to camp dressed in the grey shirt and his dusty white pants, hat low on his head. He knew people were looking at him now, freshly bathed and in a new shirt. It made his skin prickle unpleasantly, but snapping at that scrawny mutt that wandered into camp made him gain some control back of the situation.

After storing the soap and his dirty shirt back in his chest, Micah flopped on his bedroll, the flower stem pinched between his fingers. He wondered briefly what kind of flower it was, but he was sure Mary-Beth wouldn’t care. His mouth felt dry and his heart did that stupid pitter patter in his ribcage. A sip or two of whiskey calmed his nerves before he gathered the journal and flower in his hands.

The sun was just starting to bathe the sky in a mellow orange color, and most people were off doing whatever after dinner. Marston, Uncle, and Javier were sitting around the main fire, and Morgan’s horse was gone.

Slicking back his still damp hair, Micah slinked around the tents toward the girls’ tent. He got lucky enough that Karen and Tilly weren’t anywhere nearby, but Mary-Beth was curled up on the ground scribbling away in a journal.

Micah stopped a few feet off to the side of her tent, working his jaw and trying to figure out the right words to say. Morgan would know what to say without a problem, prolly something flirty or a greeting-

“Uhm… good evening, Mr. Bell…?” Mary-Beth’s quiet voice broke him from his thoughts and pushed him to action.

“Good evenin’, Ms. Gaskill-” Micah awkwardly shuffled closer to the bedrolls before playing with the leather of the journal in his hands, “I uh, I came to- Shit. Here.” With a severe lack of flattery, Micah held the book out to Mary-Beth.

Mary-Beth tilted her head and confusion flashed on her face as she slowly set down her pencil and journal. “What’s this for?”

“I uh- saw ya like to write, and I saw this at the general store.” Micah said dumbly before remembering the flower he was worrying in his calloused hands. “And uh saw this at the shore line, thought ya might like it.”

Micah could have imagined the light blush that colored Mary-Beth’s cheeks in the evening lighting, but she took the flower, their fingers brushing. “Oh, why… I’m sorry, Mr. Bell this is all very… odd.” She twisted the flower stem in her grasp, not meeting his eyes as she chewed on her lip.

Micah turned away, teeth gritting together as anger surged up through his body. Of course she would reject him just like every other whore-

“Thank you, though. It’s a very lovely gift, and the journal too. Mine is on it’s last few pages…” Mary-Beth took one of the curled locks of her hair and tugged on it bashfully.

Micah blinked, the anger draining from his body like a long needed piss. “Oh, uh, you’re welcome, Ms. Gaskill. I-I’ll leave ya to your writin’ now.” As Micah swiftly walked away he heard Mary-Beth’s muffled giggle. It wasn’t born of ill-humor, but it sounded like it was a flustered one.

He could get used to hearing that more often.

i was reading through all the asks and i was having the best time reading about the matties lmao anons just kept going and going and i love it 😭 also, i’m glad pop is well!

today was pretty uneventful, i sat on the phone disputing a charge on my bank account today ugh but i finally got the bank to give me my money back so i can’t complain there. oh but i did catch up with some friends i hadn’t seen in a while over the weekend and that was lovely

todays update: i was extremely surprised by our update today!!! i loved it sm while atkh matty has my (and everyone else’s) heart rn, it’s good to hear from my first favorite, infection!verse matty <3 unfortunately he wasn’t doing too hot but that’s not a shock lol, what DID shock me was that we are exploring different birthdays! i thought from the first chapter we were gonna continue with matty being 28 and leading up to the attempt form the og storyline!! I love the attention the detail you always add to your work. it just shows how much you love the fandom and how much you care for your own work. like mentioning the balloon wanting to be held, and the reference to the real cake photo lol

After sending me spiraling last week and costing me lots of money the little fucker has decided that he is "totally fine now" and he hasn't even started his new expensive medication yet because it had to be special ordered 😑 The official verdict is that he was sore after playing too hard in turn out so really he's just an idiot who did it to himself. I rode him before work today and when I got to the barn he was bucking and playing on the walker. I was like SIR YOU ARE SEVENTEEN PLEASE STOP and then he was his version of wild for our hack - he just wanted to zoom. 🤦🏻‍♀️ LOL the Multiple Fictional!Matties of madness! I was giggling so hard yesterday answering all those asks. Those anon(s) are iconic and I am so grateful to them for indulging me and sending us down such a fun rabbit hole (or at least... I thought it was fun)

AHH I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed today's update! I know it probably wasn't the one ~the people~ were hoping for, but I had a lot of fun working on it and have been not so patiently waiting to post it lol (plus that one anon a while back did always say it was best to post that fic chaotically when it was least expected!) ATKH Fictional!Matty might be the current favorite child, and I am SO GRATEFUL that for all the love that he has received! But Infection Verse Fictional!Matty will always be the OG favorite child lol

I'm glad I was still able to surprise you with the fics direction! I took a page out of The A&E Fic's book and decide that each chapter was going to follow a different birthday / year instead of it being one "moment" in time like the Christmas Fic (the Christmas Fic was supposed to just be a very long one shot though RIP) Don't worry, we will still eventually return to twenty eight year old Fictional!Matty and his very not great year and subsequent inpatient treatment / adjustment to his new normal after. I also really want to write about Infection Verse Fictional!Matty and Fictional!George getting together as teenagers the first time. I swear I'll write those fics eventually I love the infection verse too much to leave it fully lol I'm excited for the next birthday - any guesses how old fictional!Matty will be turning? 😉

Including the cake was a last minute decision - someone had sent me that photo a few weeks ago and I was like omg I must include it somehow! And the balloon thing is one of my favorite little details - ever since reading that New Yorker article I've been trying to weave that little detail / feeling into all the different infection verse fics.

TALK SHOP TUESDAY TIME

When I'm in a creative slump I usually put on my writing playlist (lol I listen to The Chainsmokers when I write because millennial) and just write something, anything. I make myself write at least 500 words a day, whether it's for a fic, my own original fiction, or literally anything. By making myself write SOMETHING everyday, I'm usually able to push through my creative slumps because even if it sucks I did write *something* which usually helps keep me from getting too in my head if that makes sense? Chatting about fic with a few mutuals has also been very helpful as well!

In terms of sharing my work / ideas with someone before posting about it on here- I used to share it with my bestie but then she got a new boyfriend and decided she wasn't into fandom or fic anymore so out of respect for her I have stopped doing that, I do now have a very beloved trusted mutual on here though that I usually spit ball ideas with now and then I am very, very grateful for them!

Militat Omnis Amans: The Beginnings by edaen - 92k words, fantasy, werewolf!jk, vampire!jm, forbidden love, super slow burn but super worth it, JIKOOK IN THIS IS MY FAVORITE JIKOOK IN ANY FIC EVER EVER EVER, this is the ultimate all or nothing will freeze hell over for the other kind of love, and the way this is written is just so... how do i describe it. like you can just tell the author wanted to be very realistic with their feelings. you’ve seen the word count, this is SLOW burn. like you will legit feel their struggle to just be able to love each other and while it hurts, it’s also SO GLORIOUS. i love this one so much and if you like reading angst with happy ending but like cranked up to 200% then read this. bonus feels if you read the whole series

Until Dawn (series) by edaen - this is the long series where the previous one above is part of. highly rec if you love fantasy and you wanna read about bts being a rag tag group of supernatural beings fighting evil yay. also it makes the above fic more satisfying because you see more of jikook just being tgt and in love (with bonus angst because of course)

QUESTION: how did your bakudeku journey begin?!?!

uhhhh hmmm good question anon LOL

technically i've always been interested in bakudeku as a dynamic i guess? i started watching mha in 2017 when s2 was airing, so when i watched the first season i was like woah! these two characters sure are connected! (this was before i realized they were narrative foils lol) i entered the series with zero knowledge of the fandom, i just saw the show online and wanted to try it out. therefore i didn't know bkdk was so universally panned at the time and i ... liked it!

but then i heard people saying that bkdk was abusive so i was like oh uhhhh u know what?

by 2017 the most prevalent ships were tododeku and kiribaku, not bakudeku LMAO since s2 introduced us to more interactions within those ships! and so i guess i felt pressured to ship tododeku and kiribaku way more than i could ever ship bakudeku. the whole "bakudeku is abusive" argument was very VERY active during this time, and i didn't want to get harassed online for liking a relationship that was deemed abusive, so i tried avoiding it as best as i could. funny thing is, though, i didn't even reach s2 in 2017 — i dropped the series after s1 bc i guess i just ... didn't want to continue??? i'm not really sure myself but mha's fandom was already pretty big then, and i was informed of kiribaku way before i even encountered any of it in s2 and s3. anyway, that's why i felt inclined to ship kiribaku far more even when i didn't see too much of it in the series yet

i picked up the series again in 2019 bc one of my friends wanted me to, and that's when i finally watched s2 and s3. during this time i was a far more active shipper in the fandom (in 2017 i technically didn't ship anything bc i didn't actually get anywhere LOL). my otp was tododeku and i liked kiribaku just as much. bakudeku was still, well, THERE but i was very scared of calling myself a bkdk so i tried to talk myself out of ever shipping it. bkdks got a horrible rep bc they were so-called "abuse apologists" (which is ridiculous lol but i digress) so i didn't want to involve myself with that whole thing. instead i played it safe and shipped the tamer deku and bakugou ships at the time. BY THE WAY i still really like tddk and krbk haha they're just not my main ships anymore

and oh yeah this was even after watching deku vs kacchan part 2 LMFAO idk what the hell was wrong with me in which i watched that episode and felt NOTHING??? even after that ep i was like lol cool. anyway tddk—

i just really tried programming my brain into disliking bkdk for a hot second. which is super ironic bc during this time i was also reading a lot of mha doujins of practically any ship, and yes, that included bkdk. but after while i kinda just got ... tired ??? of hating bkdk? like idk it seemed a little pointless to aggressively advocate AGAINST a relationship when it's just a fictional ship, and a narratively important one at that. so in october of 2019, to test the waters, i drew this:

and i got a grand total of ........ ZERO HATE COMMENTS!!!!!!!! granted i had like no followers on twitter and i don't think anyone cared on my instagram (the two sites where i posted this), plus i explicitly said this could be either platonic or romantic, but i felt ... free. i felt free!!!!!

i continued to ship tddk as my main ship, but i just felt a lot better knowing that i could ship bkdk and not get immediately cancelled on the internet for it LOL. i guess at this point i started to feel more inclined to ship bkdk bc i DID like them. i really did like them!!! they were my favorite characters when i first watched the anime, and it became such a chore to hate their relationship when it was objectively a great one to analyze and indulge in! why should i keep lying to myself just to seem "morally superior" or whatever by not shipping an "abusive" fictional ship? like what was my end goal here lmao

i chose to appreciate them in secret bc idk, i was still subconsciously afraid of haters, until i decided u know what? fuck it. i don't fucking care anymore, and thus i drew this little doodle in december of 2019 which ended up ruining my life forever:

bc u know what happened after this little doodle? a little lock opened in my brain and this small little devil on my shoulder went, "hey. hey guess what? u've crossed the threshold. u've accepted bkdk into ur heart. u can draw bkdk now. u're FREE, min. u're FREE!" and i guess i took that to heart bc after that i started shipping bkdk at an EXPONENTIAL rate. i was no longer chained by my fears. i just didn't fucking care anymore and it was AMAZING.

i still tried convincing myself that i liked tddk more, but at this point i was just lying LOL i most certainly enjoyed bkdk far more, and honestly probably would have from the start if i wasn't such a fucking pussy. AGAIN i still like tddk to this day but bkdk has cemented itself as the main ship sorry todoroki

so yea ...!!! that's the min bkdk story ヾ(´▽｀*;)ゝ” if u wanna know when i started openly shipping bkdk, as in posting bkdk art frequently and under a clear romantic lens, i'd say ... march of 2020?
