Hi all. I hope you've been doing well this month.

As I start to play catchup on archiving recent faire season shenanigan's, I wanted to first and foremost start with a shout-out out to the crew that joined me at this years Midsummer Faire.

Every year comes with new challenges and obstacles to overcome, and this year was no exception, but through it all, it was the team that made it as fun and memorable as it was. ❤️

I feel truly fortunate to have found the squad I have, and I'm so grateful to have had their help and support this season and the days outside of it.

NO ONE ASKED BAD TO GRIND THE MATERIALS FOR EVERYTHING AND THEN GIVE THEM TO PEOPLE FOR FREE!!!! NO ONE DID.

Any time someone asked Bad for materials, all Bad had to do, if he didn’t want to give them it, was say no or give me something in return.

A majority of the things people asked him for they could have gotten themselves but they asked him for convenience because everyone knows he already had everything because he grinds for stupid hours and doesn’t touch grass. So there was no reason in looking when they could ask everyone first before looking(which they all do often).

But I digress because I could go on about how Phil gave stuff away for free and never got a thank you because he gave away a bunch of food, blocks and items away to eggs and players and also never got a thank you.

Or how Foolish gave away building blocks and made shit for people when they asked and never got a thank you. Even Etoiles with the amour and weapons. Or Pierre and his shit factory, potion maker or gegg farm. How about the Tazercraft concrete maker? Even Tubbo’s factory and people taking stuff from the terminal?

Bad is not exclusive for this behaviour. Stop treating him like he’s been personally victimised by everyone.

this has probably already been established but the realisation that dh doesn't go down to penacony , the land of dreams , because his nightmares would manifest instead since that's what he perpetually experiences as we've been shown multiple times — even as far as the dreampeek call — is so brutal and painful. imagine being sunken in a sedative concoction that forces you to slumber and being plunged in a nightmare you cannot escape from.

#personal stuff #thorn plays genshin #hm. hm.#can't believe albedo has another sibling! fontaine event where albedo goes to elynas. who's with me #hsdgfjdkh but fr i thought so after completing the quest!#big dead dragon born from a cosmic void with blood that crystallizes. cells that literally drop Alien Goop #and then the world quest where we get the pov of the ship's crew talking about the Abyssal sea monsters #AND THEN. now. rereading durin lore #durin specifically arose from the Sea and is described as being a black *serpentine* dragon in line with elynas's appearance #festering desire also speaks of a Mother #then dragonspine spear paints durin as being gentle and wanting to befriend the people of mondstadt #and feeling no ill will towards them or dvalin when he died #which is VERY in line with elynas saying he realized the things that interested him brought fear and pain to others.#and that if he could traverse this world without causing pain or fear he would.#is very similar to durin wishing he could have met dvalin and venti and mondstadt under different circumstances #both weapons speak of being born from the same darkness that elynas talks about #AND both of their hearts are still intact. why tf did jakob want to get elynas's to beat again. what the fuck #just aoooh. i love how much of genshin exploration is just realizing how fucking fitting the Cataclysm is as a name for what happened #and how much it happened Everywhere #like. at least 3/7 of the original archons died. which is fucking. bonkers to me #considering MOST of them lived until that point with the only confirmed exception being the og pyro archon #don't even get me started on the fact that most of these deaths aren't even known #makoto obviously and rukkhadevata retroactively. no one in fontaine says a WORD about the lord of amrita #the only ones who seem to care about her are the oceanids. what the fuck #but god. like #the narzissenkreuz institute and the order of skeptics questline. the impact that people trying to investigate the cataclysm had #on others and themselves #like it makes a lot of sense but we don't see it anywhere else!! fucking of course people would try to study the cataclysm!!#of course people would try and find out wtf happened!!!#but now everything to do with the cataclysm is confidential to the point where people don't believe that most of the stories are true

As the year comes to a close, I just wanted to stop and take a moment to thank all the people who have made this year possible for both the Archer Inventive shop, and for Loreamour and it's Knights.

It was a busy year filled with plenty of uncertainties, hurdles, and challenges to overcome, but thanks to all of you Loreamour was able to throw not just one event for the community but TWO! On top of that the The Knights of Loreamour were able to attend multiple events, and you allowed the Archer Inventive shop to continue to grow.

It took a lot of hard work, late nights, and a few smashed pumpkins, but thanks to all of you, we did it!!

So, to those who helped spread the word, or who inspired and motivated through kind words, Thank you!

To those who visited the shop. Thank you!

To those of you who came out to help us with setup and teardown, or simply to say hi, Thank you!

To those who donated their time and/ or resources to make all the events of this past year possible, Thank you!

Good news: I got to the end of the Eleventh Book.

Bad news: my hatred only got worse. You guys were right, it got worse.

I got so impatient for the end of that agonizing book that I skipped a lot of chapters. I don’t want to go back to find out what I missed, most of them are Boris’s POV and I did not have enough crap to give those a chance.

Oh yay Boris saved everybody, oh no he’s got a lifetime supply of trauma and guilt now.

He’s not getting that attention and concern I had for him at the beginning back though.

Anyway, Book Ten through Eleven’s got me craving fried chicken. I wonder why :)

#genshin #genshin impact #genshin impact headcanons #this is largely aimed at people who are under the mistaken impression that any characters have a CANON age particularly the travelers #sarah miller-crews saying she was under the impression the travelers were 15 and then correcting #and saying “actually i don't know for sure that's just what i thought” has left the fandom with the mistaken idea that that is solid canon #and it most definitely is not #i find it much easier to believe the traveler is biologically 18 at the very least #largely because of that part in one of the mondstadt quests where kaeya is openly flirting with the traveler (obviously as a joke but still #he's clearly a young adult and would not at all be flirting with a teenager as a joke or otherwise #this is also why the way lisa flirts with the traveler makes me extremely uncomfortable (and i think it's intended to)#because even though i headcanon them as 19 she seems like she's in her late 20s and that's a bit much of an age gap #this is also largely aimed at one particular artist who keeps drawing neuvillette and wriothesley and making them both look like old men #it weirds me out because there's literally a line in the fontaine archon quest where paimon says wrio's younger than she expected him to be #and neuv is pretty nimble and uses the young male adult model so idk where that person got the idea that they're in like their mid 50s #calling them both “wrio” and “neuv” feels very cursed but there is unfortunately a character limit in the tags #it annoys me that the fandom is completely blind to context and just goes “medium height model equals teenager #and tall height model equals adult" because if the medium height female characters in liyue are any clue that is definitely not the case #ganyu and keqing literally work IN THE GOVERNMENT #hu tao RUNS A FUNERAL HOME #yanfei is a freaking lawyer #they would not be letting teenagers do that #heck this is the case in every nation almost #tighnari runs the whole dang forest ranger thing out in gandharva ville #cyno also literally works for the government and is like their frickin chief of police for the entire frickin country #faruzan is a licensed professor at arguably the most prestigious university in all of teyvat #layla is literally in college and as far as we know is normal college age and isn't doing advanced classes as a teenager #in inazuma ayaka runs their clan's GOVERNMENT WORK along with her brother #kokomi and gorou are literal generals in the army #heizou is a licensed detective

so i know ive talked about kit x elora before bc of the tension and that last scene that can be read romantic (to me its honestly just a good ole crack ship or maybe the posibility for a throuple but yeh, nothing can get between tanthamore. but thats for another post), but to be honest i just really want to take a moment to recognize it as a friendship because it is just so rare to find a female friendship, more so at the center of a show, and even more so a fantasy show - fantasy being a genre were most of the characters are always male and, if you get a woman, its usually just someone's love interest.

but in this show we got two women whose friendship is so powerful they manage to complete the quest and find airk because of it. and they still have their rivarly!! but its not a petty catfight!! and its not over some boy!!! and even beyond that theyre both so complex, they have other struggles aside from their rivalry and their trauma, they even have love interests of their own!! like, honestly, this show is so amazing in so many ways (interracial wlw relationship being respected and developed and given a place in all of it without either of the women being reduced to just a love interest???) but i just think we should take a moment to apreciate the realness of these women, and the platonic relationship thats built between them, between kit and elora, and how they overcame everything, together, to become pivotal to the plot. without the trust they develop between them, without elora coming into herself and persisting in her helping kit, and kit letting go of her resentment and jealousy to believe in her, the whole crew would have never found the immemorial city and would have probably ended up dead in the shattered sea trying to find a way back
