Just felt like drawing Salem again.
Yes, I'm fully aware there is strong visual overlap to my Darth Vader pic I did last year. 1) I'm not creative. 2) I loved that style.

Hello, a question about the artbook. I remember seeing one of your posts about a map of remnant and their concept names, is it alright to know them? And where can I buy the artbook? Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for the ask.
I'll answer the second question first. I got my copy of the art book from the Crunchyroll store, and it looks like it's still available there:
RWBY art book on the Crunchyroll store
Just in case you haven't seen one of the posts where I mention it: the majority of the book's text is in Japanese, including the interviews with CRWBY.
The concept map of Remnant with the place names on it is interesting, it's just definitely not entirely accurate with where places turned out to be in RWBY.
But with that caveat out of the way, sure, I'm happy to share them. Some are tricky to make out because the map's text is tiny (bonus pic of the napkin with sauce stains that inspired the map):
Detailed pics and transcribed place names under a read more cut:

Far to the east of Anima: Sea Fan
Dragon shaped continent, unnamed and presumably uninhabited in canon RWBY.
North to south:

Solitas, with the Kingdom of Atlas, formerly Mantle.

North to south:

I need ideas for a RWBY fic!
Specifically I need ideas for the solar system Remnant belongs to!
What's it called? How many planets are there? Where are they and Remnant positioned? What are their names?
I promise to credit you if you offer ideas

I am flabbergasted by how shortsighted RWBY's "critics" are with their "criticism". Somebody on that sub once claimed that it's bad writing for Remnant to have problems with racism, poverty, homelessness, alcoholism, and mental health issues since negative emotions attract Grimm. These problems have been plaguing humanity since the dawn of human civilization, and will likely continue to exist for the remainder of out species's existence. This is especially true for racism, as any attempt to regulate it on Remnant would likely be ignored by the public. Have you ever seen the movie GATTACA? In that movie, world governments made it illegal to discriminate against people due to their DNA differing from what was "ideal". No surprise, people did it anyway.
You mean this?
I haven't watched it yet, but I'll take your suggestion and give it a try.

Do the people of Remnant know that the moon is broken? That it once was whole? How many children must have grown up thinking the scattered shards were the natural way for things to be, that there’s no other way a moon can exist?

Okay. Bit more explanation as to my thoughts on the horned man being a god.
Quick little side note is that this theory is hinged on the idea that there were four gods of Remnant, as everything in this show comes in fours, and that Light and Darkness got rid of the other two for some unknown reason. There is a secondary bit of this theory that theorizes that these two missing gods are faunus, which lines up with The Shallow Sea and The Judgement of the Faunus from Fairytales of Remnant. I am not the creator of this theory and I unfortunately don’t know who started it.
TLDR - the horned person from the trailer might be a banished god of Remnant, and might be the god of Choice or Knowledge.
If there are, in fact, four gods of Remnant, and they do line up with the four relics, that would theoretically make Light and Darkness, respectively, Creation and Destruction, leaving Choice and Knowledge.
“But Crow,” you say, “wouldn’t it be more thematically appropriate - if this guy is a god - for him to be Destruction? Because Ever After seems like a place that’s run by chaos, and chaos is usually linked to destruction in opposition of order (or the creation of rules and laws).
And I would say yes. Operative word being “would.” But Darkness destroyed the fucking moon and is somewhat linked to death in the old world before Remnant, with Light being the equivalent of Life. So yeah. Creation and Destruction.
Which leaves our weird little freak, if he is a god of Remnant, to be either Choice or Knowledge.
“But Crow,” you say, “that doesn’t make any sense.”
It does if you consider them in the extreme.
If he is Choice, it would make sense that the people of the Ever After can do whatever they want - and that applies to the physics of this world as well, which is why everything looks so balls to the wall insane. Or, considering how he looks a bit sinister (and we know the gods to be assholes) it could be the absence of Choice. No one is allowed to do anything that upsets him, and the world reflects whatever he wants. @cinnakincat and I recently discussed the actions of Light and Darkness, and she likened them bringing Ozma back and killing him again and repeating that cycle of tug of war (and Darkness only becoming angry when he realized that Salem had gone to Light first) as two children fighting over a toy and doing things just to spite their sibling. If this new god is anything like that, childish, the lawlessness of Ever After could be his own choice, but he throws a tantrum whenever he thinks someone threatens those choices he makes.
On the opposite side of the argument, although less plausible, we have Knowledge. This might be a bit more abstract, but I propose the idea that either the entire Ever After is gifted with wisdom, something like Jinn not not as powerful. These creatures are content with the Knowledge they have and the world constructed around this Knowledge looks abstract to everyone else (sounding like nonsense) but makes perfect sense to them. This could be backed by everyone asking Ruby “what” she is, meant more in the philosophical context and not the physical sense. Or, everyone could actually be speaking absolute nonsense and have a lack of Knowledge, kept ignorant by their god because he wishes to hold his intellect over them.
I think Choice would be more likely.

Since DC and Marvel Comics have different Earths from each dimensions.
For RWBY universe, I call it the Remnantverse. Cause they officially called their planet, Remnant instead of Earth. This might've given me an idea for different fanfics based on different universes of Remnant.

The Fixing RWBY episode with my art is now out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCPOf9Vhah0 So I can start posting these. I again lent out my services to Celtic Phoenix's Fixing RWBY series on Youtube. He gathered a team of talented artists to help bring his RWBY rewrite to life.
This is Set 1 art. The scene I was assigned to 1st back when we started work last fall. Like last time, I'm not gonna explain the scene. Best leave that to Celtic.

“It took some trial and error to find the balance between "goofy" and "heroic" that’s essential to his character. It was important for him to be both familiar and ordinary to represent his background, but also be filled with the potential and charm of an important character in the works.”

Hey remember in Fairy Tales of Remnant when Tai was reading The Warrior in the Woods to Ruby and Yang and it was the story of a blonde boy who looks a LOT like Tai falling in love with a Silver Eyed Warrior who looks like a cross between Summer AND Raven that ends tragically when the Warrior vanishes into the night?
And then it turns out that’s exactly what fucking happened to Summer and Raven?!
Gotta say, it feels nice to be vindicated XD
