The main show is definitely these two images here!

Danny should definitely be wearing his normal shirt and paints combo during The Host role, but change outfits depending on what “role” he’s playing! But the little pin identifying the role stays throughout all outfits mostly because I think it would be funny! Also the no swearing bit is because little ghosts (box lunch) likes to watch this show, along with many Amity Parker’s in Danny’s home universe (if we’re going with good reveal Danny)

Existing in more than one fandom space is like having more than one group of friends but both of them being so wildly different that any overlap at all would be like getting shot in the head

You know what's actually my favorite part about 2ha? Of course I could list things like the humor, the characters or the writing style, but what really makes it as great as it is... is Meatbun's obvious love and passion for the characters, the world and.. well, everything. It's so blatantly obvious how much she loves the story she created - just look at her unhinged 3AM tweets where she can't stop drooling over her own characters lol (same)

Or the funny little mini theaters at the end of every chapter. There is no reason to write them, they aren't even included in the official English translation. Sometimes these mini theaters are just an elaborate build-up for a silly joke, sometimes she's just bullying her own characters a little, one time she even wrote half a page about potential fanfic AUs for 2ha. I repeat: this is just the author's note and all the fans who only read the official English translation will never see this.

And let's not forget the bonus chapters. At this point it's obvious but I adore these chapters. Xue Meng trying to find a date through some form of magic tinder (and consequentially wrecking havoc in the whole cultivation world), Chu Wanning celebrating his birthday or you know... Ranwan being canonical soulmates who will always end up falling for each other in every universe possible? The bonus chapters are a love letter. Written by Meatbun to Mo Ran, Chu Wanning, Xue Meng and the whole cultivation world she created.

Seeing a writer loving their own work so much just fills me with joy. How proud she must be, how much love and time she must have put into this. It just makes being a fan so much more enjoyable because at the end of the day, I have the feeling that the greatest 2ha fan is actually the author herself.

Every time I draw my line art style just gets more and more complicated💀😭.

Guess who gained a new interest to stick on the wall?? That's right! Me~~~~!

So, I have this very unhealthy habit of choosing favorites that never get fanart ever. In this case, Goth Teensy (my pookie💖) and Romeo.

Some info and progress photos under cut:

My sibling indoctrinated me into this fandom, and I should have seen all the signs but my fixation on GT rn is too much for my ape brain to see though. (First a fanfic about GT that is eerily characterized close to me, then forcing me to endure CLH twice (it's not that bad), then being nice to me while playing Origins, then being there while I played Rayman 3, then wrote a story about GT together that's in the works lol).

Anyways, I have a sort-of interpretive version of the tennsys lol. They remind me of Moomins, so I gave them tails lol. Also, the amount of "nightmare" magic a teensy uses determines hair growth and fluffiness.

Since this is based in our AU origins story where Goth Teensy turned into a nightmare during his formative years, he's a purple fluffy teensy. Romeo is a regular nightmare magic user (Livid Dead resident), so he's fluffier than the average teensy and is able to maintain a head of hair lol.

(Ales fits in this too, but he can't keep his hair cuz his magic is super weak and embarrassing L Bozo.)

Romeo is Goth's babysitter-sorta-found-family-adoptive-brother. When Goth isn't in the lower levels of the Livid Dead (where all the nightmares are), he's with Romeo doing gardenwork, learning about the Glade, or just practicing his magic with someone who can coach him properly. They both listen to rock a lot too.

The problem with big fandoms (using "problem" in a very loose sense here) is that it's really hard to stumble across the weird niche undertagged stuff when its being buried in five million coffee shop/royalty/high school/soulmate aus. If there are 150 works in the tag total you can look through very quickly and find anything that appeals to you. When there are over a million it is much harder to do that.

#im very into a genre of fic i like to think of as #'canon adjacent but we got silly with it'#like crack treated seriously and very specific canon divergences and obscure crossovers #the lore is intact but the plot diverges #or it doesnt even technically diverge its just set pre- or post-canon or focusing on side characters #i want two characters who never met in canon running into each other and getting into shenaningans #i want time travel fix it but only for this one specific guy who doesnt know or care what the protagonists are doing #au where due to some cascading nonsense the plots of season 1 and 10 are happening at the same time #this specific character didnt get killed off and is just sort of around now #au where everything is the same but one of the protagonists is some sort of creature #unfortunately this is a very broad category #and it is impossibly to effectively filter out everything that does not fit the bill while still including everything that does #i can filter out my notps but if im ambivalent towards the juggernaut ship of the fandom that doesnt help much #fanfic

It's 3.7k words, and is oc-centric!

Skye Rosewall is a new hire at the Pizzaplex as the new naptime attendant! She meets some of her coworkers and is very endeared by Sun's general goofy actions- but she's confused by some of the rules in place. Like- Why does she need to be out of the building by 10 pm? Why is Sun so insistent on keeping the lights on? And why does management want her to have a taser when she's working with toddlers??

I am mentally ill about my own oc and I wasn't satisfied by only drawing her- so surprise! Fanfiction time. Inspired by Solar Lunacy as well as a few other fics I've been reading the past month or so- and

I've also never written Sun or Moon before so forgive me if it takes me a bit to get their personalities and characters down. But I hope I did ok with Sun!

Rewatching episode 1 where the Victorian ghost girl goes "He's the brawn?" about Charles has sent my train of thought skipping over to Cabin Pressure (my brain is only ever a thought away from Cabin Pressure at any given moment in time) and Ottery St Mary where Douglas introduces Arthur as the brawn and the lady with the piano goes "He doesn't look very brawny" and Douglas responds "true, but it's nothing compared to how much he's not brainy" and now I am thinking about an AU where instead of the Dead Boy Detectives Agency it's the Dead Boy Moving Company. (Dead Boys With a Van?)

Instead of being a detective agency helping ghosts with their unfinished business through solving mysteries they help ghosts sort through and move their treasured belongings and, Marie Kondo style, often this ends up with the ghosts managing to resolve their unfinished business and moving on through the healing power of packing up your shit into boxes and thinking about what it means to you and what you can get rid of. (This also allows Edwin and Charles to deal with cursed objects holding people against their will.)

(how does this look to alive people? I haven't thought the logic through that far)

(Cabin Pressure, you might note, is mostly about people on a plane, but apparently my brain decided that Dead Boy Moving is where this train is going)

They meet Crystal when the Victorian ghost girl comes to them to ask them to move some of Crystal's stuff out of her house where she left it and then they get involved in the David the demon thing (because half their customers end up moving on to the afterlife halfway through a moving job they have ended up with loads of stuff and so Edwin is on top of the magic shit), however they never go to Port Townsend because their mail is about moving jobs and not missing people (and also they'd never be able to get their moving van there). Thus almost the entirety of season one is avoided (and they never meet Niko or Jenny or Monty or the Cat King or Esther, WOE), instead they drive Crystal around in their van trying to work out how to get her memories back while they work some moving jobs. At some point they get to run David over with the van (maybe twice).

#dead boy detectives #so there's so much good meta and art and fic in this fandom #and i am LOVING it and having a lot of feelings about it #however my contributions are just absolute nonsense like this sorry everyone #i thought it was funny #this is the dumbest au concept ever #but how does this fit in with their issues about their deaths being unsolved and their lives forgotten and edwin's we didnt matter speech?#edwin gives the same passionate speech about helping people pack up their lives which allows them to move on #WE never got a chance to have that closure but we help other people get it #yeah idk the thematic parallels are significantly less uh present

There are few things that annoy Dazai the most.

The first one is definitely losing to Edogawa senpai in the school exam ranking (he's aiming for first place this year, it's his last chance before Edogawa graduates, studying seriously for once in his life).

The second one is the most important, but also the trickiest. He absolutely hates that Chuuya is so popular. Every year since last year of middle school, when they met when Chuuya transferred to their school from France, Dazai is forced to watch boys and girls and anything in between fall in love with the red head. The amount of chocolate every Valentine's is frankly appalling. Or worst - the amount of times Chuuya has been called from class to receive a confession or an invitation to Christmas dates or to walk together during the cultural festival.

Dazai feels like murdering every single one of those ugly and annoying teenagers who dares to breathe the same air that Chuuya. Odasaku and Ango are always looking at him weirdly when he says those things aloud so he just stares and glares silently. And writes in his Chuuya diary (but that's a secret).

And here he is, second year of high school, having to go through another Valentine's Day yet again.

Everything is going as he predicted and that's annoying him a bit too much that it's starting to show. Dazai himself received some chocolates, both romantic and friendly, and gave none (although there is a little heart shaped box hidden in his bag and he refuses to think about it). Chuuya already has an overflowing bag of chocolates beside his feet by his desk, and there's probably more to come and Dazai is seriously considering murder.

But it's okay, everything's okay. Chuuya never once before accepted any of the confessions. It's fine.

(Dazai is definitely not biting into his metaphorical handkerchief, he's not)

(maybe on the way back home today, he can—)

"Chuuya-kun!"

Dazai turned his head so quickly, his neck made an odd clicking sound that hurt, but he ignored it because standing by the door with a grin and a square box of chocolate in one hand, was Edogawa Ranpo.

"Senpai." Chuuya greeted, voice composed although his expression was of confusion.

Edogawa walked inside their class as if it was normal and paused beside the red haired boy, putting his little chocolate box on his table without another word.

"There's a café I want to go to, I heard their pancakes are delicious. What do you think?" Edogawa asked, shocking everyone around.

Never once before the third year showed any interest in anyone.

Chuuya blushed. Chuuya blushed. Chuuya never blushes.

Oh no, oh no, no, no nonononono—

"Today...?" Chuuya asked, voice breaking at the end.

"If you're free." Edogawa's grin widened.

"I— Yes! I mean, yes. I can go."

Dazai will murder Edogawa, to hell with seniority.

"Chuuya—" Dazai started, only to be cut by another senior.

"Oy, Ranpo-san, class is starting." Yosano-senpai said, lowering her phone, clearly taking pictures of what happened.

"See you later, Chuuya-kun." the older boy waved sweetly and walked out of class.

There are few things that annoy Dazai the most, but only one thing he hates.

And that thing is called Edogawa Ranpo.

genuinely i don't think i can say anything about skirk and the abyss without stepping into spoiler territory i'm afraid

i guess i can only say that yes, there is an abyss, yes childe was there, and yes he found skirk in there. i wasn't going to add this bc i mean why would there not be an abyss but then i remembered there was no abyss in babysitting so like. yeah it makes sense that not everyone would take it for granted, there were some comments who were also wondering about the abyss i think
