btw i love revenge stories i dont think anyone should ever move on peacefully. a bit obsessed with the way weissman went to the synagogue and rabbi and asks, "my choices killed a child. would god take mercy on someone like me?" and the rabbi says "it's not god's mercy you should look for. its the child's" and like you think that would spur this man into charitable activities and to maybe look out for orphans but instead he goes on a 24 hour revenge bender that ultimately ends in two revenge killings and his own death. what's better than righteous anger and wrath and love twisting someone into the worst but also a truer version of themselves <3

Can we talk about Wren?
Okay, so this question has been plaguing me ever since I finished If We Were Villains and I want to know if anyone else has any opinions.
How much does Wren really know about what happened that night?
We obviously know the basic facts about the night of Richard’s death, but I want to focus in on when James, Filippa, and Wren are all huddled up in Wren’s room, trying to comfort her.
This heart of absolute gold literally begs James to go out into the woods to find Richard so he doesn’t do something stupid. Now, from Wren’s perspective, we see James leave the room with the intention of finding Richard. He’s gone for maybe an hour or two, long enough for Pip to get worried and go out to look for him, so now Wren is alone in her room. She knows James (and now Filippa) are both in the woods, looking for Richard.
A few (probably) hours pass when suddenly, I’m assuming, Filippa comes into Wren’s room to tell her something bad has just happened and she needs to get to the lake asap. I’m assuming Pip is the one who tells her because by the time Oliver and Meredith get down there, everyone else is standing around and Pip was the one who summoned those two.
So, in Wren’s mind, the course of actions were: James leaves to find Richard, Filippa leaves to find James (and Richard), time passes, Filippa retrieves Wren from her room, and they all find Richard dead dying in the lake.
Now, when they all agree to let Richard die, they start discussing their separate stories. Where they were at the time of the murder. And Wren makes the statement:
“They’re going to want to know why one of us didn’t go after him.”
- If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio (Act III, Scene 1)
...What’s that supposed to mean, Wren? Weren’t you the one who begged James to go find Richard? And didn’t he leave with the sole intention of doing that? What do you mean no one went to go look for him when you know full well that James did?
My theory: Wren knew the whole time. Maybe not everything, but she’s not stupid. It’s too much of a coincidence. And I don’t know what story James and Filippa would have told her to make her think they were innocent, so I’m thinking Wren, like Pip, wanted to protect James.
“She didn’t speak, didn’t even open her mouth--just nodded, slowly. Yes.”
-  If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio (Act III, Scene 1)
I don’t think she knew the full story, but there is no way she didn’t think James and/or Filippa were hiding more than they were letting on.
This also might be part of the reason why Richard’s death was having such an effect on her. Obviously, losing a family member would be hard on anyone, but the fact that only Wren and James were diagnosed with PTSD and went through the most changes after the death seems very telling.
Not to mention Walton’s later suspicions about Wren:
“My money’s on the cousin,”
-  If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio (Act III, Scene 11)
Which, like, come on, man. She’s been through enough!
So, if she knew, to some degree, who was really guilty, I’m curious about her reaction to Oliver getting arrested.
“Alexander’s face was so full of sadness that there was no room left for surprise. In Filippa’s expression there was only a desperate kind of confusion. In Wren’s, emptiness. In Meredith’s, something violent I couldn’t find a word to describe. And on James’s face, despair.”
- If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio (Act V, Scene 7)
I think the fact that Wren never came to visit Oliver is telling, at least. Was she too guilty, like James, for letting Oliver take the fall? Did she think the whole time James was covering for Oliver? What does she really think happened that night and when does she confront James about it?
She has to have found out the actual truth at some point because, come on, who really wants to hide something like that from the victims family forever?
I just want to know how much she knew and for how long because I think seeing this story from Wren’s POV would be so interesting. At least these scenes.

1 - 19. all the numbers >:^)
most overrated character?
Doing this again because there are so many of those : Shikamaru and Hinata. Before someone kills me I do like Hinata, I just hate her fans. Like in what way did she surpass Neji when she can't be arsed to run without falling. Bffr Neji's the strongest Hyuuga. And Shikamaru isn't smart when his entire victory hinges on dumbing down and nerfing both Hidan and Kakuzu.
2. was sasuke right?
Answered
3. were naruto's intentions with sasuke selfish?
Answered
4. are the romantic undertones between naruto and sasuke intentional or accidental?
Accidental. Kishimoto's misogyny made him fly too close to the sun of yaoi.
5. can kishi write romance?
When he wants to? Yes. It's not the wildest romance, but he showed he can write a decent one with Tsunade and Dan (and arguable Minato and Kushina although I hate that couple for other reasons). Even ShikaTema aren't too bad. He's just clearly not interested in writing romance
6. what makes the Naruto ending bad?
Everything leading up to it. The way the antagonists (especially Madara) were treated both by the narrative and characters, the way Kaguya came out of nowhere, the way Naruto and Sasuke kept getting unearned power ups. Hell on earth. Then all this culminates into a VOTE2 fight I never wanted to see with a Sasuke who's blabbering nonsense, and then suddenly, skyscrapers and ugly ass kids of ships that got little to no development. None of the questions brought up by the story got resolved
7. should Naruto have become hokage ?
Answered
8. show a screenshot of your latest draft with no context
Tumblr media
9. which Naruto fandom words are you allergic to?
"deserve" (always used in ship wars), "who has the saddest backstory", "babygirl", "yandere", "actually kishi didn't intend-" (amazing under theory posts /s) and such
10. is sakura a shitty character or shitty-ly written?
Shittily written. That girl did not catch a break from the moment she got introduced, and she's not the only one, pretty much every female character is shittily written. They're just one of two misogynistic stereotypes, with no fulfilling arc, no space to throw hands like the male characters etc etc. Yeah yeah Tsunade isn't too bad but she still suffers from misogynistic writing
11. is Itachi a martyr, a victim, or a perpetrator?
Perpetrator. There could've been an argument for him being a victim, but adult Itachi does say he regrets nothing so clearly he's fine with the massacre and would've made the same decision as an adult aka he's nothing but a shameless genocidal murderer. I'm not very interested in waxing poetry about how hard it was for him to kill his own parents when he had like, so many choices to make, and I think such discussions are stupid when Sasuke (and the Uchiha clan) are the biggest victims of both Itachi and Konoha and yet don't get a fraction of the sympathy that Itachi gets
12. who should've died in war arc?
Gai first of all. Why the hell did he survive 8 gates? What was the point? It cheapened his sacrifice, and made it obvious that the stakes, no matter how high, are never that serious. Frankly I didn't even want him to be the one to open the 8 gates, it should've been Lee's moment (and yes, death) but well. At least one of the Gokage (preferably Onoki and/or Gaara) should've also died. And Hinata or Hiashi should've died to protect Neji, it would've been THE perfect symbolic end to the Hyuuga issue. Oh Shikamaru should've also died, he was useless and it would've made more impact. Probs another death in Konoha 12 would be great (like Kiba maybe?) but Lee's and Shikamaru's deaths (with potentially Hinata also dying) would've been great for tension and emotional impact. Oh also neither Obito nor Madara should've died
13. was kakashi trying his best? / was he a "good" sensei?
He was a good sensei bc he made good child soldiers. He was also a good sensei bc he did try his best to keep them safe. I don't know why people argue he's the worst. Gai, Asuma, and Jiraiya are fucked up, and Kurenai got 0 screentime teaching. Kakashi also trained Sakura, and recommended her to Tsunade. The idea that he completly neglected her is fanon
14. openings or endings?
Openings, most of them are so iconic
15. Is naruto white coded for having blonde hair blue eyes?
No??? his name is literally Uzumaki Naruto, and he has monolids. He's Japanese.
16. Is tobirama racist against uchihas?
Tobirama is Japanese. The Uchiha are Japanese. No he was not racist, and he didn't do half the shit people claim he did (he didn't disrespect Madara's body or Uchiha's funeral practices, he didn't segregate them, he didn't force them to be in the Police Force, he didn't focus solely on the Uchiha and no other threats, he didn't call them slurs (cant believe i even need to say that), he didnt hunt them specifically, he didn't kill Izuna for shits and giggles, he didnt seek out Kagami to use him as the "black friend", he didnt spread rumors, he didnt spy on them, he didnt blame them for Madara's actions etc etc etc. He was prejudiced, as was Madara (who even went as far as to cut Tsunade in half just bc she's Senju. That's way more violent than Tobirama calling Sasuke an evil brat). I think it's perfectly understable why he was so cautious about them, and I wish he was given half the understanding the Uchiha get for their own backstories and actions, considering he too was a traumatized child soldiers who watched his siblings die and was abused by his father. He's a product of his times, and even he acknowledges that. That's why he has faith in the younger generations, and why he died for them twice.
17. Is Sakura useless?
Not at all. Naruto would've died in the Waves arc without her, and that's just the first arc. People just hate female characters, and belittle healers.
18. ship wars or power scaling debates?
I prefer ship wars bc I'm not rlly a shipper so I don't get annoyed and can make fun of people who get mad at me for my opinions. Power scaling tho....I'm a great power scalers and when ppl just make shit up (like saying Hinata is stronger than Neji or Itachi than Obito) I get pissed.
19. pettiest fandom opinion you've blocked someone for?
not an opinion but i've blocked people for misspelling kakuzu's name

Ah yes, it’s that special day where once again I find myself wondering what the ever-living fuck Joe Finigan was thinking.
This is the story of how I utterly failed to have the appropriate emotional reaction to 9/11. Mind the trigger tags. I’d add more but I ran out. This story is insensitive by nature and I probably shouldn’t share it, but it’s also such a weird slice of American life that I kinda feel like I gotta.
So, context.
Columbine happened in 1999, when I was in 5th grade. Schools across the US started to be like, “hm, maybe it’s time to actually address this issue somehow.” Our elementary school brought in some random police officers to talk about it. Police who, if anything, had been trained in how to make kids more traumatized.
We didn’t have active shooter drills back then. They were just like, “Hey kids, I want you to imagine this fucked up scenario that I am vividly describing. What would you do if it happened to you? Do you have a Plan? Will you be able to stick to your Plan even while your classmates are screaming? You should think about it hard, in graphic detail, so that when the time comes you won’t hesitate to make Tough Choices. Breaking your leg because you jumped out a window is still better than being dead! Listen to this story of a girl who hid under a desk, but then the gunman found her and she couldn’t escape because there was no room to maneuver and so she was trapped and the gunman shot her while she bravely said her prayers, we have a weird creepy obsession with painting the victims as modern Christian martyrs and we totally invented the entire story but you won’t realize that for at least a decade. And remember: don’t run in a straight line, run in zigzags so that you’re harder to shoot.”
So yeah, that was 1999, we were 11 years old, and we took that shit very much to heart.
Two years later, it’s 2001. There have been 15 new US school shootings in that time. My sister and I are in middle school, it’s early in the school year but we’ve started to get into a normal rhythm,
Suddenly there is a totally unexpected blare on the intercom. It’s Principal Joe Finigan, he is about to make the most significant announcement of his career, and for some fucking reason he decides that THIS is the best thing to say:
“There has been a, uh, a terrible tragedy. Everyone should go home now. Uh, ask your parents what happened. As far as we know, we are not a target at this time.” Click.
We don’t have any other sources of information. The teachers aren’t telling us what’s going on, but some are crying.
Obviously there must have been a school shooting in town. But what the hell did he mean by “as far as we know, we are not a target at this time”? That makes it sound like the gunman is still at large. Is this a sniper situation? Is it even safe to walk home? Are we going to have to line up in the office and take turns using the school telephone to call our parents?
We cautiously head outside, and there’s a line of parents already out there waiting in their cars to pick their kids up. Oh shit, it must be bad. Was it the kindergarten? Or the Catholic prep school?
Our mom is upset. She says she doesn’t want to talk about it while driving. She’ll show us the news on the TV when we get home.
We get home and steel ourselves to face the news, fully expecting to see the names of close friends and neighbors listed among the dead.
So please imagine how appalled our dear mother is when we say, “Wait a minute- all this fuss is because some buildings are on fire in a completely different state?!”
“As far as we know, we are not a target at this time.”
Dear Joe Finigan. What the fuck made you say that. Please tell me, did you genuinely imagine terrorists being like
“At this time, our target is the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. But next, we shall target a mediocre school in a bland suburban town that nobody has ever heard of! Ohoho! Ah hah ha ha!”
Anyway, there’s something to be said about how after both events, the US response was, “You see, this is why we need more guns. We tooootally promise they’ll only be used to hurt Bad Guys! After all, we’re the Good Guys! USA! USA!”

tate and violet vs. embarrassing childhood stories? like they both wanna be cool kids so bad but i know they've got 'em...
Violet
Got super into vampires in elementary school. She read Dracula over a long break and insisted on dressing up as a Stoker-accurate, period appropriate vampire for Halloween. She was 11 years old.
Her first kiss was in the 5th grade. Jeremy Harris, a 6th grader she shared a band class with, approached her near the swings having fallen victim to a triple-dog-dare at the hands of his friends. He laid one on her and, right as his gaggle of laughing buddies rounded on them, she slapped him.
Ballet classes from 4-11, 7 years worth of "embarrassing" dance recital footage lay in wait on a camcorder Violet secretly hoped would get lost during the cross country move.
Freshman year Violet had a lengthy Sylvia Plath phase which resulted in a handful of notebooks full of poems she was sure would someday be read by legions of teenaged girls just like her desperately searching for understanding. Upon further review, however, she realized maybe poetry isn't her calling— she'd rather stick her head in an oven than ever let those poems see the light of day.
That summer she got way into musical theatre and begged her parents to send her to Drama Camp where she promptly fell in love with Cate, a beret wearing, cigarette smoking camp counselor (who most certainly did not awaken or inspire a single thing within Violet, thank you very much).
Tate
Collects beanie babies.
In the 4th grade, Tate was sent to the principals office for having stuck a thumb tack on his teacher's chair. He denied up and down that he was the perpetrator all the way up to the moment his desk was searched and the box of yellow thumb tacks was discovered poorly hidden underneath a fractions worksheet.
Indiana Jones for Halloween 3 years in a row.
Tate and Justin, his best friend and the only other guy on the track team who liked punk rock, got high for the first time on Justin's older brother's stash. Tate puked.
He's got a handful of incredibly nerdy, poorly executed stick n poke tattoos, including a Legend of Zelda triforce on his ankle and a d20 on his thigh. He'd hoped that they'd fade some with time. They haven't.
Tate is actually a nickname. His full, legal name, as it appears on his driver's license, is Orville Tatum Langdon.
Had nightmares for a week after having begged his mom to let him watch E.T.

When the canon timeline means you can't write a canon compliant fic...
Oh this is so frustrating. Hear me out.
The original order of the phoenix all gathered together one day, during the first wizarding war, and took a photograph:
Tumblr media
in the picture there is "Marlene McKinnon, she was killed two weeks after this was taken"
And also "Caradoc Dearborn, vanished six months after this, we never found his body."
In Deathly Hallows, Harry finds a letter written to Sirius from Lily in which Lily mentions two things of note:
Thank you for Harry's birthday present... We had a very quiet birthday tea.
and:
Wormey was here last weekend, he seemed down but that was probably the news about the McKinnons; I cried all evening when I heard.
Lily's letter tells us that this is after Harry's first birthday, ergo she is writing sometime after 31st July 1981. It also implies that the McKinnons' death is recent. They knew about it last weekend, so perhaps the news came a few days before.
This means - at the time of writing - Marlene has been dead maybe two weeks. And she died two weeks after the photo was taken. So at the time of writing the photo is only about a month old.
Even if Lily was writing bang on the 1st of August 1981 (and let's be honest, she probably left the thank you letters a couple of days - or longer), this would make the date of the photo 1st July 1981 - at the earliest.
Voldemort falls and the war ends on 31st October - four months after the photo was taken.
But according to the timeline Frigging Caradoc Dearborn can't vanish until another two months have passed!
This would mean Caradoc doesn't vanish until Dec 1981/ January 1982. When the war is already over. Which is just deeply irritating for someone trying to write a canon compliant war story, killing off all the order members at the correct time.
There are four solutions I can see:
Caradoc Dearborn is the victim of renegade Death Eaters who make a strike against him after the war is over. Frank and Alice are tortured into insanity after Voldemort has fallen, so it's not impossible ... This means Caradoc would still be alive at the end of a canon compliant fic which finished at the end of the war... and would lead to comments in the comment section like "canonically Caradoc Dearborn died" and "I was expecting Caradoc to die but he never did - he died in canon". Gah!
The McKinnons are killed much earlier, but the news about their deaths isn't discovered until around the time of Harry's birthday. Which means the photo can have been taken any time between July 1978 and April 1981 - and Caradoc can still vanish six months afterwards. However this means just writing the McKinnons out with no explanation and then revealing their death in July 1981... and honestly, had they been missing for any length of time during the war, I think Lily would have long since resigned herself to the fact that they were dead, and would be unlikely to spend an entire evening crying or attribute Peter's sadness to the news when it was finally confirmed (after all - I know fanon loves Marlene as Lily's best friend since they were 11, but this letter doesn't really convey that to be true. Lily doesn't even mention Marlene by name.)
Marlene is killed two weeks after the photo is taken (anytime between July 1978 - April 1981) and the Death Eaters come back and finish off the rest of her family in late July 1981, hence "The news about the McKinnons" and not "The news about Marlene". There's nothing wrong with this version of events per se... but Marlene appears to be the only actual member of The Order, if the photo is anything to go by, killing her off early doors and then sweeping back around twenty chapters later to mention the rest of her family are dead now too just doesn't seem a massively impactful piece of storytelling.
Moody is just being inaccurate when he states how much later Caradoc disappeared. It is, after all, fourteen years ago, and four months is practically six months. The photo could be taken early July 1981 (meaning Marlene's death then lines up with Lily's letter) and Caradoc vanishes a couple of days before Halloween, which - 14 years later - seems like it was 6 months to Moody. Only, a matter of days before Halloween 1981, all readers are braced for impending Jily death, Sirius going to Azkaban, little orphan Harry ... who's going to notice Caradoc Dearborn going missing? Which then circles back to the 'You didn't kill off Caradoc Dearborn' comments. Gah!
Which all just goes to show the ridiculous lengths fanfic writers go to for their hobby. The canon isn't even bothered about being compliant with itself, and here I am trying to make it all make sense because if I can't somehow fit in these contradictory facts and make them work, someone somewhere will tell me I did it wrong and judge my fic accordingly... and maybe tell other people that my story wasn't as canon compliant as it claimed to be.
I want to write a canon compliant fic about the First Wizarding War and canon itself is making that difficult for me. And that is frustrating

ranking nightmare time episodes
under the cut because this is gonna be a long post and it is only for me and no one else<3
i recently finished all the nmt episodes and now that i have no more new hatchetfield content to consume i need to dish out feelings and opinions and i like ranking things i like. this is based on vibes mostly. and my attachment to these characters. i love all of these episodes and the entire cast and nick & matt lang for giving me so much lore to chew on. here is the brutal order of ranking my children
13. daddy
somebody had to be last......first of all i just wanna say jaime lyn beatty is a literal god for performing the double role of sherman and sheila young here, she IS versatility in human form. however young at heart just isn't one of my favourite songs and sherman & frank really aren't as compelling characters to me as some other ones in the hatchetverse and i feel like it doesn't offer that much more lore to me.
i do find that there is a lot to be said about the way sheila holds frank & toy zone hostage with her money and it's yet another case of characters using their money for power and glory in hatchetfield and how those characters eventually become victims of the lords in black and characters that abuse their power. i still had so much to say about this even though it's last on this list and that also speaks to how GOOD this series is okay
12. perky's buds
this one is just absurd????? i truly think perky's buds, jane's a car and hey melissa are the holy trinity of batshit nmt episodes.
this is essentially the most we ever learn about the hatchetmen and their descendants (the metzgers) which makes me a little sad, that lore i am still a bit lost on and honestly the amount of lore (and this being grace chasity's first appearance in canon) is mostly the only reason i prefer this one over daddy. also the fact that joey richter plays a monotone talking bird + emma finally gets her pot farm (even if it all burns down in the end</3). this one is just a little silly to me and the song isn't my favourite either, it's a taste of characters (like the metzgers and ziggs) and lore about the history of hatchetfield and i just wish we knew more
11. forever and always
this is my official apology to paulkins nation for having this ep so low lmao sorry guys
if i'm being honest my favourite part about this episode is how it weaves together with time bastard. idk if i'm allowed to say this out loud because i fear i'll get crucified by starkid / hatchetverse people but honestly i'm not *that* invested in paulkins as a ship.......i love that in this iteration they are just so fucked up and weird, i remember in the hotel scene thinking there is NO way paul wouldn't kill emdroid here. she is an EVIL ANDROID!!!! and then the reveal that he's actually paul 23 made so much sense. anyway i like this one and i REALLY like the song!! it's so fun having such a heartfelt sounding song at the top of the episode and then it actually being so fucked up by the end.
10. hey, melissa!
tbh i wanted this one to be higher because it was SO absurd in a way perky's buds could never even fucking dream of, i truly want to know what possessed nick & matt lang to think that the side character who has maybe four lines in tgwdlm likes dehumanizing men and turning them into her pets???
all this being said i think hey melissa gets a bit of a bad rep in the fandom. i actually think it's a very interesting episode, i will never ever stop thinking about WHY paul makes the decision at the end as he does? i think there is so much to dissect there and in general about paul as a character in this episode. we really don't learn a lot about paul in tgwdlm and in contrast, in the timeline of hey melissa we hear an entire story from his childhood that clearly impacted him a lot? and it's something he thinks about to this day!
i also really wonder the question of if he hadn't told that story, would melissa still have him held captive?? obviously melissa is not a very reliable character in the early part of the story, but paul's memory clearly affects her a lot? does she actually lose faith in him in that moment? and that's why she decides to keep him as her dog (of course he doesn't end up being one lmao) ? i just think there's a lot to be said about this episode! still, i am def forever haunted by this and can't never hear it the same when humans say bark or meow. also what do you MEAN you'd have to NEUTER him to let him OUTSIDE
9. the hatchetfield ape-man
this one has such a special place in my heart for whatever reason<33 full disclosure angela as lucy stockworth is also maybe 80% of why this is higher than the others so far, it's just so fun seeing her play a character who seemingly is just so innocent and sweet and has such a big heart but then who's also very aware of what she's doing and schemes a bit herself. i can't believe this is the only iteration of lucy stockworth what is she doing in the other timelines. i want to know.
also idk why but the reveal that ted was just playing konk fucked me UP!!! like that was insane. also as the first episode that has the cast and nick & matt still figuring everything out it's just very sweet and heartwarming which you cant say about a lot of hatchetfield content<33 honestly no real explanations for this one i just love angela giarratana and also jamie lyn beatty for singing HERE'S A LITTLE STORY BOUT THE HATCHETFIELD APE-MAN
8. watcher world
the scenes with the sniggles???? genuinely horrifying. the idea in itself that someone is always watching is so creepy, i think blinky is maybe actually the most terrifying lord in black. at least he manages to have the most terrifying nmt episode. the fact that he somehow makes a father and daughter almost kill each other and wants to watch for his own enjoyment like........this one actually haunts me sm!!!! wtf is that scene with alice and the blinky mascot!!!!!!
it's also one of the only hatchetfield stories with a genuinely happy ending with basically no catch. and after bill and alice's tragic fate in tgwdlm i'm so glad they also get a good ending<33 it's also just so lovely to see them actually bond in this story and we learn a lot about alice !
this one also has so many songs and i am of the opinion that snoozle town is genuinely heartbreaking and the way angela can just do that while singing the most insane shit like "and we'll have two snoozles that can snozzle / our own bayou where the boogle boggles flow with goo" is beautiful
7. jane's a car
GOT MY FOOT ON THE GAS ok im SORRY im sorry its just. funny
tbh i am a little sad this gets reduced to the car sex episode, i think it does have a lot to say about navigating grief when you feel like you've finally been able to move on and live life again and suddenly the person you lost is back in your life. and they're also a car.
not to mention the ending???? is fucking terrifying????? poor becky quite literally dies and the "mommy's home" paired with the way the script narrates the moment as "becky sits down and jane smiles". like that's. cunt
anyway just to conclude i really wish more people understood the more compelling parts of this episode and not just tom fucks a car!!!! dont overstimulate the cupholders!!!!!
6. honey queen
i was GAGGED seeing the editing quality step up from nmt 1. this is truly the cuntiest nmt episode because we pit two beautiful queens each other and BOTH just fucking perish lmao (that editing step up also contributed so much to the final scene being so terrifying. it's an incredible introduction to nibbly and the scene being followed by the nibbly ditty is just SO gooooooooooooooood)
something i did already mention when talking about daddy is the continued sort of "motif" that rich people either still always lose to the lords in black or (something that i didn't bring up last time) they themselves are corrupt and have essentially sold their souls to the lords in black. like gerald & linda lie, cheat, steal and kill their way to win this pageant and yet. they still both die.
also also!!!!! i love that we learn how linda ended up so incredibly cold and uncaring. like it's not just from being rich as fuck, it's also trauma from being mocked, ridiculed and ignored throughout your entire childhood. i think roman murray might genuinely be the most evil character in hatchetfield and i loooove how jon matteson plays him. king shit
i also just love. gerald and linda. they are so fucked up and so perfect for each other. the way gerald helps her so much to sabotage the pageant and is her BIGGEST cheerleader, knows that deep down linda does not like her father and is afraid of him and literally gets himself killed essentially in support of her.............i love them.
5. time bastard
i'm gonna be honest i wasn't ted's biggest fan after tgwdlm so i didn't reaaaally understand the love i saw for him in the fandom, but after time bastard i really got it. time bastard actually fleshes out ted as a character and even though by the end he kind of is still a dumbass we do still learn a lot about him!! tinky and his little box are both objectively terrifying and being stuck in his box honestly sounds like a worse fate than hell. i feel bad for ted ngl
the reveal that homeless guy is ted spankoffski is also so insane. like the fact that these two exist in the same timeline a lot of the time is so interesting and also brings up the question of did the homeless guy ever try to go into ccrp and try to take his job back??? or did he just resign to his fate. we dont know. speaking of ccrp also learning more lore about what a fucked company it actually is super interesting, especially knowing they too tried to harness tinky's power.
my one and only gripe with time bastard is that it gets a little too complicated for me at some points but that's more a me problem, it just feels slightly hard to wrap my head around it while also connecting it to the events of forever and always. i do love complicated lore but this one fucks w my head sometimes
4. abstinence camp
as a grace chasity girl it is illegal for me to have this episode any lower than in the top 5. these top 4 episodes truly expose my favourite hatchetfield characters so bad lmao
god abstinence camp is SO funny!! the writing here is hilarious, just grace's first appearance is so silly and angela does such a stellar job. i love her in this role so much. along w her i'm so glad this story introduced us to boy jerry and girl jeri who i am begging to see again in another timeline like i need to see their backstory!! how did they find each other the first time and how did they end up abandoning their faith to have a child!!!! jon matteson and kim whalen are so good in these roles
we also cant talk about abstinence camp without mentioning that virginity rocks is objectively the BEST nmt song. jon and kim are serving absolute vocals it is such a banger and the fact that they paired it with axe man is so fucking sick
3. killer track
killer track is the only nmt episode so far that's made me actually cry. god. he was watching the fireworks.
to be completely honest i. don't even know what to comment on for this episode i'm just stuck in never ending holloweane brainrot. god he's so in love with her. AND SO AM I!!! miss holloway is such a compelling character and this nmt episode especially teases a lot about how she ended up the way she is. we also learn about her past and just like everything about her is so interesting to me, i love her protective nature but also that she's so calculated in her every move. and somehow always knows exactly what to do. also i love duke keane i can't leave him out of this
the concept of this episode is also just so viscerally horrifying, it's essentially something i used to have nightmares about like something scary that's ringing so loudly in your ears that nothing can block it out so this genuinely hit like a sort of irrational fear that i pretty much used to have as a kid. it's not so bad that i can't watch but still hit me in a sort of way that reminded me of my own fears. maybe that's also why i love miss holloway she would save me if i ever ended up in that situation
2. the witch in the web
i feel like witch in the web is very underrated?? i don't see a lot of people talking about it compared to some other episodes which i think is such a shame because it's so incredible
the scene where hannah thinks she's seeing lex and then it turns out to be the witch was SO spooky watching it the first time, seeing angela play out this sort of over-excited version of lex and it slooowly becoming more and more sinister is so insane especially with her pulling out the dolls of the lords in black. it's such a great scene!!
also the lore we learn about the witchwood forest and what originally happened to willabella muckwab and how the black book came to be is so integral to the entire lore, and i love the way it's told with hannah & miss holloway sort of walking in this old dreamlike world. plus the confrontation with wilbur cross in the starlight GOD this episode has so many cool moments and it can do so much because they're in nightmare time and not in actual hatchetfield most of the time. i do, however, despise the idea that lex foster is serving what FOUR years in prison in this timeline. dont do that to my girl
1. yellow jacket
the scene where hannah & ethan come home and lex is waiting for them, so disappointed in herself not only for forgetting hannah's birthday but also for failing the test, angry at ethan for not reminding her about hannah's birthday.....that scene is probably my favourite moment in the entire hatchetverse? angela just fucking blew me away she plays it so well and not to mention joey richter ethan just. kills
yellow jacket just had to be first here, i'm so invested in these relationships and their past and how it led them to where they are here, the way this episode portrays how hard it is for lex and ethan because they're just trying to survive on what little resources they have while lex is also taking care of hannah: she cares for her so much that she's wanted to move them out of their mom's trailer. of course hannah would feel responsible and maybe guilty because lex has so much to worry about, of course hannah wants to take the first opportunity she gets to make them copious amounts of money, of course she's willing to put herself in terrible danger, all to help lex.
i love seeing this perspective on hannah, especially since in black friday we mostly see lex (and ethan) protecting and saving hannah when she's in trouble (although she definitely can fend for herself a little!). in yellow jacket we really see how responsible hannah must feel. when her and ethan see the ipad as a possible prize, her first thought isn't all the fun things you could use the ipad for, it's how much money they could get selling it. she doesn't understand the sheer danger of fighting pokey, which makes sense since she doesn't know that that is quite literally an eldritch god, she just wants to support lex.
this episode is just incredible in its every element: the portrayal of the characters, the story and the way it talks about the influence that money has on people's lives. not to mention watching literal children fight each other for entertainment. it's brutal but the core relationships are what eventually survive despite the circumstances
well. this was long

Hmm flying pasta huh? You've given us much food for thought, Mouse. It's all a bit confusing, so I have to use little but of my brain here. But let's see... HnM, and essentially the BRF, is throwing a lot of random, some true some false, stories out there to see what gets the audience engaged. Right?
Trying to list all the random pasta being thrown out lately. As in, all the random disconnected PR tangents out there. Let me know if I'm missing something ..
1. HnM are separating and their marriage is really bad (too.much chatter about this, makes me think this is not true and very much orchestrated by HnM themselves to further their joint victim narrative)
2. The car chase
3. Random awards for Meghan and her humanitarian work
4. Meghan got new agent, WME. She is going solo. My guess is WME was already engaged by Harry for zoom/lecture circuit but it was not official. This is because he has been working with Jill, Serena william's agent for sometime now. Meghan then hired WME the agency via Jill's recommendation.
5. They will not do any more interviews, podcasts, shows about the BRF.
6. Harry and his Visa issue and that court caseim the US (my guess is nothing will happen with that and that Harry already got his O1 Visa renewal this year. It's a 3 years visa that he first got in/around June 2020)
7. Harry and his very many media lawsuits in the UK.
8. Harry maybe is, maybe isn't still a counselor or state. He keeps going back to UK just when his dad is overseas. Once can be a coincidence, but twice??
9. HnM looking for houses in LA
10. HnM selling their montecito mansion. Or renting it out?
11. Harry has a spare room always on hold at a hotel in LA/SF. (Previously this same rumours came out about Meghan but turned out she was shooting for her podcast at the hotel)
12. HnM and their mystery friend whose house address they did not want to disclose in NYC. My guess is that it was Fitzpatrick the hotel guy.
13. Travlyst put a new ad out a few weeks ago. Interesting timing, and my guess is that Travelyst and the CHIMPO gig are somehow related to Harry's visa and tax status. That's why the only time we hear about Travelyst is 2020 and 2023 when his Visa was due.
14. HnM will make a royal feature film for Netflix. My guess, HnM and neyfy will work that into the promotion for The Crown S6, that's the only way HnM will make any money.
15. Charles and Camilla don't like Catherine. That's the weirdest news I have heard lately, and think it's not true at all. Mainly because Catherine is too classy to let a fued with the King and Queen be known publicly within months of their reign.
16. Harry has hired lawyers months back.
This is a very long list and I'm sure I missed some points. I'm just wondering what the purpose for PR salad is... how does it serve HnM other than just keeping them in the news cycle? Where's the money for them in this?
And how does it serve the BRF other than just putting the main players under immense (and unnecessary) scrutiny?
Hello! Thank you for this lovely, thought out and detailed message!! You definitely named a lot of the main PR Pasta stories I was discussing. From what I've read here, you have three main questions:
1. How does this serve H&M?
2. Where is the money in all of this?
3. How does the Flying Pasta Game serve the BRF aside from putting the main players under immense and unneccesary scrutiny?
Let's look at question 1:
If you strip back the sensationalism that is in the press, and you strip back the titles, money, and fame... what do Harry and Meghan really have to offer? Not much. Keeping them in the press, like you mentioned in your question, does keep them relevant. And, we'll discuss why this equates to dollars in a moment. But, think of this. If Meghan and Harry weren't in the press... all their critics would move on. They don't need fans, as they don't have a whole lot of them in truth. They need people to criticize them so they can cash in on those victim interviews. But those have run out.
If you remember, this mouse said way back in the day that eventually MM and H would run out of steam regarding the victim narrative and the BRF. You can't be a victim of someone you aren't even allowed to see. UNLESS... they can use the press to weaponize it and keep this going until something better comes along.
A lot of the time, people give narcs and cons too much credit. They think that these people go out and have detailed master plans, and most times, it is just on the fly, go with the flow kind of things. While there IS ALWAYS a general plan and direction, there isn't a step-by-step, day-by-day list of boxes to check. Most Narcs make it up as they go. And it's that way because information is always changing. One insignificant little point someone says could be something used against them later.
So, to summarize my answer for the first question... ultimately, the press not only keeps them relevant in a fast forgetting world, it also gives them a way to perpetuate the victim narrative. Most importantly, these stories give the powers that be feedback on the general public. You can't read the comments section and see if it's the right time to drop something or do something if you don't have anything written about you.
Question 2: How does that equate to money?
Well, at face value it does not. But, EVERY pap shot and leaked source story probably follows with a favor or payout. The laws in CA are strict. You cannot take the picture of a child and publish it without consent of the parents first. So if you see a picture of their children, and they aren't suing... it is because they can't sue after consent. Like Harry suing PageSix rumors.
Even when they are not getting paid with direct cash for scoops, stories, or pictures from Paps... they are using these stories to garner sympathy and empathy from people with money, planes, houses, beaches, etc. We saw proof of this recently from TB. Tom Bower said that is exactly why everyone marked them as grifters. They keep pushing woe-is-me to get handouts. They also use these stories to create relationships with people to manipulate them. An example of this is how MM used Jessica Mulroney to get into SoHo. If you can relate to someone, you can get them to trust you. If they trust you, you can get them to help you. If they will help you, you can manipulate them later on. It's how cons use emotions to manipulate.
Now to Question 3: How does this serve the BRF aside from creating unneccessary pressures (paraphrasing of course):
I am a firm believer that Daddy never cut Harry completely off. For several reasons aside from the source I have in London. I've posted their actual mortgage docs way back. The mortage, escrow, upkeep, etc... well let's just say the bank put a clause in there where they could rent the property out at any time, and they could do whatever they legally can to recoup that money for the mortgage. It even says if they fail to upkeep maintenance, they will come in and keep it up and then bill them.
While most rich and famous trusts are like that, the payments for the property alone are astronomical. Then security. Clothes. Cars. Trips. Appearances. Hair. Makeup, ETC.
It is expensive. And they haven't brought much in to set that off. So who is injecting the gap funds? IMO Daddy is paying for it all.
These stories are serving the BRF at least two-fold. Charles looks like the dad who tried everything. Wills the brother burdened with the crown he didn't ask for, and now little brother is estranged. Insert poor family member of the narcs and cons story here. The second way it serves them is because it keeps everyone focused on this drama instead of the other dramas they could be focusing on. It doesn't matter if the rumors are true... if it takes our attention away from LITERALLY ANY OTHER scandalous senationalist story regarding Andrew, or the suitcases of Cash, or the Rose rumors. Even the lizard rumors (LOL THAT IS A JOKE). Confusion is the goal here.
Another way this serves the BRF is it allows Charles to gauge the public opinion. YouGov polls aren't what they seem. Polling is very skewed. As with the Harkles, this allows for an echo chamber. This allows for Charles to see what his real options are with containment.
Charles is an expert with the Press. He has managed to turn the other woman (IMO the only woman, as he loved her but married for duty) into the Queen. When they wed in 2005, did you expect Queen Camilla? I didn't.
Charles is self-absorbed, and you can see that by how he acts in the shadows. He told his mother he cut Harry off because he wasn't a bank. But yet, there is really no proof he cut anything or anyone off. Just them hoping we all buy it. And I do not.
You do not release something as explosive as Meghan and Harry from the fishbowl unless you have a goal or you have no choice. I've said it before, and I will remind some readers...
I believe the Queen kicked Harry and Meghan out. I believe she made them leave. And I believe that Charles always had it in his mind, that if he had to do it to protect his own hide and reign. I believe he would pay for every kind of story to see how gullible we are all and how we all feel about things.
If you know the masses will forgive surrogacy but not smack-talking a dying lady in her late nineties, you can proceed differently.
Summary:
Q1: H&M use the press to get paid for leaks, pap shots, and mainly to keep themselves relevant. They curate and change themselves to fit the response
Q2: H&M benefit from always being in the news because they can use the victim narrative to manipulate and grift their targeted people. They probably already have an audience and purpose in mind with every story. Stories are the way cons use and abuse their targets
Q3: The BRF benefits from the Flying Pasta Stories because it keeps the masses focused on that trainwreck instead of other issues. They benefit from using the narrative to garner their own empathy. They benefit by seeing how the public will respond to potential decisions, too.
At the end of the day, I cannot believe that Harry and Meghan can afford everything they claim they are doing. And when I got contacted from a London source, I started to see things from a different perspective. When some of the things I was told came true, well... I started to change my whole outlook. It all boils down to data analysis. All of this provides data, and it allows them to manipulate people with the stories on both sides.
When I was in active conman mode, I would often just post stories on my social media so that my friends and family would see them. Say I knew one friend just got paid and they lost their mom to cancer... I would make up some nonsense to use that connection to pull on their heartstrings to get their money. I did it in all kinds of ways. I am ashamed of the things I used to do, and it is why I try to expose it when I see it now. This holds me to account in my own way. That's why I see things the way I do. I see what I used to do right there in the news all the time. And it's sad that it's allowed to happen. Because journalism isn't what is was before.
Thanks so much for the question, and I am deeply impressed with your list so far!!

"You be a good girl."
She heard these words only when new customers came. Or better yet, victims. Y/N let her pity display on her face just a minute before pushing her lips up, letting her teeth shine while her long blonde hair strands danced with every move. It was an identical routine over and over again: greeting the people coming through the door, smiling shyly while playing their feelings like a guitar. Then, after maybe 2 weeks a friend of "Hertzoon", "a Kerch captain" entered the scene and told them all about some cane fields being flooded and how sugar stocks will be low for a while, that's how he trapped the innocent.
For Y/N, it got boring. Everyday was the same, the same lines, the same scene, the same story. The people were different, but it didn't matter if she stayed the same. Everytime they scammed people, she left hell, and everytime new guys came in, she entered it. Y/N out, Saskia in. She felt like an actress in a very cheap theater that can only afford one show they play all the time, her sketchbook was soon to be covered by straight lines, counting the days. She felt like a prisoner, yet was sure that it would be better behind bars.
A warm voice of her mother awakened her, giving her a cue to stand behind her long dress and act shy. After a little introduction that Y/N quietly repeated in her mind, it was her time to shine. With the words "And this is my little girl, Saskia." she wanted to tell the people to run, expose Rollins and save them, but the urge to do so got smaller and smaller with every group passing by, so she only smiled and hid behind her mother. Maybe these will get lucky.
------
Her feet picked up the pace, hurting, but she pushed them forward. She can't let them catch up, not this time. She planned it all, wasted nights and her only free time. Everything will be for nothing if you won't be faster she said to herself, stopping for a bit to take a sharp turn. The moon and the stars lit her way and the waves, crashing into the harbor, cheered her on. People kept looking as she ran by, but luckily no one cared enough to stop her. After another turn, the buildings became familiar. This was usually where her owners caught her or where Deln was already waiting. However, she took another turn, a different route, longer but maybe life-saving one. The girl risked a glance behind her, seeing only a few people passing by in the bad light, Moon could only do so much for her.
A cautious happiness glimpsed inside her as her owners were nowhere to find. A glimpse, because the moment it appeared, she tripped thanks to someone's foot. "No, " the girl repeated quietly, "please please no". She rolled over, ready for a sharp pain to come. Yet once her eyes recognized the figure, the glimpse rised in her chest again.
"Mom!"
Y/N got up and stared into her mother's eyes. It was such a long time without seeing them. When they met hers, she lunged her arms forward, closing her mom in a tight hug. Tears couldn't hold the urge to hug her mother as well and escaped through the girl's eyes to do so. Y/N smiled once her mom's scent got into her nose. She felt save, a feeling that became so foreign to her in the past 2 years. The woman put a hand on her back and squeezed her lightly before pulling away. Y/N's smile fell a little after seeing the face of her mother. She expected to see fear, happiness, sadness, even anger in her features, anything.
Yet her face was empty. So, so empty that Y/N could fall into the hole her mother displayed. Her eyes caressed the girl, making her feel almost uncomfortable with their dead gaze. She looked deceased, only her body working like on a command. Y/N would be convinced of that theory if her mother didn't speak: "Come on, we have a boat to catch."
She grabbed her hand and pulled it harshly towards the harbors. The Moon was worried of her as it slowly fell asleep, leaving the space for the Sun. Y/N didn't know what was happening, but she was tired and stressed out that she just followed her mother, trying to squeez her hand as hard as she did hers.
------
Their new home in Novyi Zem stood on a field with a beautiful view at the sunset and lovely neighbors gave them a warm feeling of safety. Y/N liked to spend her time outside, alone preferably, but when a kid joined her activities, she didn't mind at all, usually it meant staying outside longer, which she aimed for. Everything was better than going back home.
Her mother didn't speak more than a sentence to her. After boarding on a boat in Ketterdam, Y/N thought that she might just be scared as her, not speaking out of fear, and gave her time to open up. However, she never did. Once in their new home, Y/N's mother became colder, even though their house was warmer than anything Y/N experienced. Her mother fed her only lunch, leaving her daughter to make something herself and went to sleep early at night. The girl knew she was going to sleep whenever her bedroom door harshly closed. Y/N never asked why, she just put up with it. She soon found that ignoring was a great way of doing so.
Things became worse when her cold mood changed into anger.
Y/N missed being avoided after the first week of insults. "You shouldn't eat that much, you don't deserve it.". "Who told you you could play with kids? They don't want you there.". "You should really think about how selfish and horrible you are.". Her mother carelessly said things that hurt her, made her cry before sleep and change her view at life. She watched as her mother, her only comfort, her reason to keep going, slowly faded into the only danger present in her life. She felt her heart transform the love for her parent to fear. Their house that kept her safe and relaxed soon changed into a haunted place, killing her good mood whenever she stepped in.
Her mother's words, unbeknowst to Y/N, cut through her head, filling it with doubt. She felt weak when her mother said so, she felt selfish and spoiled. Even without any proof, she knew she was everything her mother said. That's when she started to punish her every mistake.
But in 14, her mind gained clarity. She became aware that some things her mother says aren't correct and started to ask the question she should've long ago. Why? After not finding a reason, she made the mistake of asking her.
When her bedroom door slammed against the frame, Y/N knocked and entered. When she heard her sobs, she stopped. Her mom was always so harsh and cold that she forgot she had any other emotion except hatred. It awoke a warm feeling in her, something she never thought she would feel again for her. Her foot took a slow step forward. "Mom?"
The sobs stopped immidiately. Y/N looked at the small light on the bedstand, seeing her mother's reflection. "What do you want?" said a harsh voice, covering the girl's found empathy with fear. "How dare you to speak to me!" yelling, she got up from the bed and stood in front of Y/N. She frowned. Even with all the hatred she felt from her mother, she didn't feel frightened. Not now, not in this moment.
"What do you mean?"
Her mother's mouth opened, shock widened her eyes as she spoke loudly: "You little spoiled monster!". She stepped closer to Y/N, making her take a step back. Yet the girl still stood tall, her bravery rose on top. "Why are you calling me like this? All I did was ask a question and you act as if I just yelled at you. Why do you treat me so horribly?" she began, taking a step forward, pressuring her flabberghasted mother to retreat. Her eager kept her talking, encouraging her buried anger to dig itself up: "I haven't done anything that would give you reason for this. Why do you do this? Why are you so awful?!".
All of the adrenaline bursted in the last line, but was unexpectedly gone and in it's way quickly stepped pain. Y/N fell to her side, feeling her cheek burn. She hit her. She hit her hard. The girl froze when she realized, on the contrary, her mother was on the move, grabbing Y/N by her hand and slamming her back on the ground. "You fucking brat! You took everything from me!" she screamed and kicked her. "You ruined everything, I was happy and you fucking spoiled it!" Y/N crawled on the ground away from her mother, her cries matching the tone of her screams as the woman followed her.
"YOU MADE HIM HATE ME!"
She yelled, kicking Y/N in the face. The girl sobbed and curled into a ball. Tears streamed faster when she felt a hot drop running from her nose. Y/N suspected that her mother fell in love with Pekka Rollins, she also saw the way he manipulated her. Her love for him wasn't pure, it was constructed by him, implated in her. He controlled her while she thought she had the upper hand. Genius, he was a great asshole. Y/N had fought with him, not loudly, mentally, sending obvious signals and doing obvious little things to let him know she despises him. Her mother noticed as well as he did and probably blamed her for him disappearing and returning them to Deln.
Not an asshole. A devil.
It was hard to discern which pain hurt worse, on the outside or inside. Y/N lied there, crying for a long time. Her mother went with no words and another loud slam of the door back to her room. Her cries filled the room and the dark hugged her tightly, her tears mixed with blood flowed on the ground. But there was a weight missing. Something went away, like a boot finally stepping off of her back. Something that soon took her tears with it and she felt as if she could relax now.
This feeling was dead to her. And her mother was too.
"After that, I became a hitman."
Kaz looked at her, she still couldn't see behind his tall walls, but she felt listened. "And I swore I wouldn't come back to her." she finished the story and looked on the ground beneath her chair. The floor was darker then before, it pointed her gaze on the chandelier that shined less and less with every passing hour. Hour, they were here 3 hours now. Does she really have that long of a history? It all seemed like it happened yesterday. Shift in Kaz's position distracted her from her thoughts. Y/N realized that he now knows everything about her.
Not everything.
She couldn't say the most painful part of her past, the one that still haunts her in her sleep, everynight as she begins to think her life is getting better. "Are you gonna say anything?" Y/N stopped her mind before it could remind her of that again and broke the long silence the two of them were holding. She needed him to speak, she longed for this moment, she never knew it would be possible to tell Kaz about everything, but exactly that began 3 hours ago and he didn't utter a word yet. He took in a deep breath, extending Y/N's torture. "Well," he began, "She was right in one thing.". Y/N's breath latched, patiently waiting on the following words, deep down already knowing them.
"You are a monster"
Her eyes widened, desperatly searching for a sense of sarcasm while her heart tried not to collapse. But it failed, as did her eyes. Kaz's face was unfazed, like he just told her the sky is blue. His eyes were cold, as if she did not just pour her heart out. She got up from her chair fastly, having to search for balance once on her feet. She felt betrayed, tears rushed above when she backed away from him. "You are just as guilty as he is."
"Stop." she warned him, her look not leaving him until she reaches the door, she was scared what he could do to her if her eyes let go of him. "You talk about all the pain you had to go through, pitying yourself and not the lives you took." he spat, making her jump. "STOP" she ordered loudly and desperatly grabbed the empty space behind her, trying to find the handle. "Trust me, the only thing worth pity is the horrible lie that you didn't secretely enjoy killing us all.". Y/N cried out loud when she found the door, quickly opening it and running out. Her feet didn't go very far and she slipped down on the ground along a wall.
Her heart fastened to beat it away, tears took it with them when they ran down her cheeks, her sobs yelled it out and her exhales dragged it out to the deserted hallways, but none of that made the pain disappear. Y/N put her hands on her ears, but it was too late as the voices were already there, repeating every single word he said. She trusted him blindly, she trusted his nice act and the sweet sound when he said her name, her real name. All of that got her to hope he had forgiven her, that he was ready to listen. He took her broken heart and glued it together, only so he could smash it in smaller pieces.
The same she did to him.
That hit her like a bullet through her heart. She did this as well. She promised to fix his sad heart after his father died, then drowned it in the tides. She did this, he only got revenge. Y/N didn't think she could hurt even more, but as the realization came to her, the pain flooded her entire being. She is a monster. Her mother was right. Kaz was right.
She wanted to avenge him by killing Rollins while she should really kill herself.
Y/N was only aware she was crying when her tears formed a little puddle her hand got wet in. However her mind was clearer than ever.
She will kill Rollins, for her revenge.
And then kill herself for Kaz's.
-----------------------------
It pained.
He never felt pain this intense before and definitely didn't expect it now. He hurt her, but maybe hurt himself even more. Kaz always makes plans that wont backfire and will meet his expectations, but right now he felt defeated. Even though it went as planned, he felt monstrous. His heart ached while his eyes got wet. Dirtyhands never cries, and definitely not for her.
When he saw her tied to the chair, he saw the opporturnity to get even, for him and for Jordie. He could just push the trigger and she would be just a terrifying memory as she always was for him, yet he didn't. Not that he couldn't, he didn't want to, and that's what he feared. He wanted her to live, he wanted to hear her story, he wanted to forgive her. He was being nice to her because he wished to be, cursing himself for it in private. That's why he had to do this, he had to know he could still pull the trigger, he still needed her dead.
Yet now, he felt like he killed himself.
Y/N was a victim just as he was. She didn't ask for Rollins to use her as a pawn in his treacherous plan. She was just a slave, put in the place of Saskia against her will and then returned once she was irrelevant. He knew it all, and that made it harder. If he wouldn't chase the knowledge and just painted Y/N as the villain, the bullet would pearce through her brain and he wouldn't be now clutching his fists 'till they're white. First of all i would like to introduce myself. Hi guys, my name is Jillian T. Matias, 17 years old, Born on July 05,2006, I lived in Talon-talon Morning Breeze Zamboanga City, Philippines. In our family of 6 including my mother and father im the oldest or what we can say 1st/first born. So to start, i would like to share to you what are my 3 favorite things to do. Number 1 is Eating, i love eating so much especially sweets that's why i have so many cavities haha. Number 2 Sleeping, i love to sleep also because that's the only way i can get away with my stresses, there are time that i overslep for 10hrs isn't it cool? haha joke aside. And the last one is Playing basketball, i remember when i was at the age of 10 or 11 I guess? haha it was a very long time ago but to continue, me and my uncle used to watch NBA at first i don't want to watch but by the time i was idolize with Stephen Curry becau of his amazing 3 point shots that's where all it started. I learn and stop but when im i got in this school (SCC) there's an opportunity waiting for me and im gladly risk it all because it was one of my passion in life too, to play and compete with other schools. I forgot to mention here that my nick name is "rai" only my family and close friends call me that name. Moving forward. It's me who's very lazy at all but wanted a good future and want to repay my parents sacrifices even though they don't have trust in me because im always been disappointment all this past few years. But despite of all that it made me realize and became my inspiration in life. You know why it became my inspiration? because they see me as disappoinment and through all of that there's a word that comes to my mind "prove them wrong" but before this words i am hurt through there hurtful words and that's the reason why.
Myself has gone so far, im just so glad that i didn't give up in any attempts on finishing my life. There are so bad many thoughs coming through my mind and im thankful that God our heavenly father always guiding me. Well i can say it's really hard to live when you're the eldest, you have to be brave as much as you could. right now im experiencing the word "blame" which is they does to me all the time. In this story i don't want share to you that im the victim here because i have some faults to, I just want them to realize that it's not because im the eldest im responsible for my siblings who's a year older than me. She can be the eldest too when im not around right? not just they are blaming me at everything because im not in our house always. Myself just wanted to be understand. Me, I don't usually share my problems i just don't know why, maybe i did get used to it facing my own problems, But aside of being problematic person i am a joyful when it comes to my friends, They bring joy to me thankful to have a friends like them because when im with my friends it feels like im free. They now me so well, im so glad that I've met them. Atleast they made me realize that life is not about just problems too, it's about fun things that you can do, as what they have said enjoy and cherish every moment of you because life is too short and yeah they are right about that. I'm not good everything, but im glad that im always trying my best. thankful to god that he always guide me through all my decisions in life. I am soft hearted, I don't want anyone shouting at me. I cry to my mother when i can't find my things i know it's too childish but that's i am haha. As what I've said i am strong but there's another side of me is soft not all the time i can deal with all of my problems and my solution for it is just i talk to god and cry. A lot of you dont see me like this because im always being crazy out there and I agree. I think i might end here, thank you for listening about my self god bless y'all

You're maybe annoyed about this but, regarding Neon visiting her dad first, do you (or other people) actually recalled the ACTUAL reason why she visited him? About calling her a spoiled brat for this, cuz that seems to be just like inserting own headcanons for that and ignoring actual one. I mean that, she visits him cuz she feels powerless from her failure to save Sara and other victims, she asks him to make her a Kamen Rider again to prevent more victims.
That is the opposite for, perhaps the personal matter of "her father who doesn't love her" stuff that is accused for her, but it's about a care for people in general who can at any time suffer similar fate to Keiwa... she visits her dad for the SAME reason why Keiwa visits Tsumuri, to ask for power to protect.
Is this about the one time I used the words spoiled brat?
Because I have said it in great length before that Neon is not a spoiled brat but a victim of abuse.
That one thread was on twitter and complaining about how stripping neon of her relationship with other characters, like cutting out her emotional reaction to Sara and was 90% me just spitting trash cause I was frustrated with how little these emotional moments actually emotionally affected me.
It wasn't even about visiting Keiwa, fuck that. Keiwa is a big boy, his actions are his responsibility- would it have been nice to see them visit him? Yes. But then the conflict wouldn't have space to exist.
Some of these story telling choices are upsetting because the bond between neon and Sara wasn't just some little thing, they were about to move in together .... And we get like 2 minutes of her just :( and nothing else.
And I think that's very valid to be upset over.
As for her father thing .. I think the family things in itself is too rushed and not handled well at all.
Considering this is 11 years of abuse prior.
- isolation
- physical abuse
- her father didn't even think of her as more than a tool to make a connection with future folk.
All that thing stretched thinly over 4 episodes because of the inherent need to show a victim once again failing to escape her abusers and settling for the bare minimum is a trashy ending to her otherwise really good arc.
In fact this new shit pissed me off so bad I don't even care that neon didn't have a harder reaction to Sara because this is so much worse.
Those old fucks might get better and get there shit together but i still will hate how this was handled right now.

Rotten Judgement – On foreshadowing (II)
Following our series of hints in the narration, and to celebrate the new chapter, today I’m going to talk about:
The foreshadowing about Eren’s marriage proposal to Mikasa when he was 17, and his rejection.
The marriage topic was something I had had in mind until “I did not live until today”. The proto-idea of my first fic included a scene like this—the character of “Eren” knocking on “Mikasa”’s door to confess—so I was really up to writing this upgraded scene. However, as one of my goals was to dose the information, I had to make it clear from the beginning, but not too clear so that when it came to chapter 11, it would still surprise the reader.
Given, I still think that if this had been a novel and was read all together, the hints would have been clearer (maybe!) and with retrospect, I would have had to make it even clearer so that the readers would remember these hints. But I didn’t, so here I am, reminiscing.
Eren’s first rejection
To introduce Eren’s complex guilt about bullying Mikasa and also trying to protect her, it was crucial that he’d have to reject her. That way, Mikasa could have some pent-up anger towards him, and then his confession would be misunderstood by her—she would be thinking, “Is he confessing because he feels sorry for me?” But in reality, Eren was proposing because he always loved her, but he was late.
Eren’s rejection is first introduced in one of the first paragraphs of the story, from Armin’s pov: “One would be pretty stupid to reject her, and Armin knows just the guy.” After that, when Eren and Mikasa meet in Chapter 2, Eren’s motivation, guilt and sadness are already set very straight-forward: “to get to the third date before thinking what it would have been if he had not been a prick, if he had not been so late.”
In Chapter 4 we even get much more information about Mikasa’s confession and how it happened: “he could have never imagined that he would hurt her so deeply —that he would say no and she would run down the stairs from the rooftop; that he would mouth the joke and would see how her eyes watered. […] all puddle, all guilt, and, above all, all Mikasa.”
But after Eren’s rejection comes Mikasa’s anger and hate, and it was important to introduce this too so that the reader would know that Mikasa held a grudge against him. I decided to do that from Eren’s POV, because even if Mikasa thought about the moment she confessed, that confession towards Eren was overwritten by the bullying after, Armin’s experience and the proposal three years after: “She humiliated him in front of everyone, that wrench —with that beautiful, gentle smile of hers. He hates her. Eren definitely hates her-who-must-not-be-named.” [Chapter 1] Eren needs to believe that Mikasa hated him because of the rejection, and not because of the bullying, because he doesn’t want to come to terms with what he did. If he does, then it crumbles him, because he acknowledges how bad he hurt Mikasa—much further than a simple rejection: “he remembers himself being the victim of that hate, never quite believing that it had come to this, even if he had every hint that of course—it was my fault, it was my fault—she would break his heart at his turn.” [Chapter 5]
The topic of “providing”
One of the toxic ideologies of Eren is that the husband needs to provide for the wife and family. That comes from Grisha’s beliefs, and it completely sets the mood for his love for Mikasa. Since he’s little, Eren knows that Mikasa is poor: when he proposes to adopt her to Carla and Grisha back in chapter 3, they tell him that she’s not an object to keep, so Eren knows that he has to work harder to keep Mikasa in his life. When he elaborates his—childish, yes—plan to protect her from Floch by hurting her, he only has in mind Mikasa’s protection and providing:
“(Grisha) It’s in our blood to provide for someone, Eren.” […] Eren doesn’t believe in providing, in marriage—that he has long forgotten these are his solutions because he thought so hard once that they were, he ended up broken. […] He could tell Grisha that he got onto his knees some years ago. He could tell Grisha that Mikasa is back.” [Chapter 10]
The topic of providing is understood differently by both of them. While for Mikasa, providing means mostly economically, Eren understands providing as something whole. Back in chapter 4, we see how Eren is a care-giver and we get a first glimpse of the scene of the orphanage: “Or the way his smile tilts every time he can provide for someone —being it helping Connie with a massage […] and then the stairs changing, morphing in the dream into some porch stairs, in which Mikasa is standing above him, looking at him with tear-streaked cheeks, and Eren is crying, and they are both three years older than they were in that dream, young, utopian, and she says, You’re quite late, now, Eren.”
Also in chapter 4, before that paragraph, Levi acknowledges Mikasa’s problem with providing: “’You have a problem with providing, Mikasa’, he chooses to say, instead of berating her further. She blushes, tries to hide her face in her exposed neck. ‘You don’t like depending on people, and that’s why you’ve been heartbroken.’
She merely whispers: ‘So you know.’”
This “So you know” is emphatic because Mikasa is referring to Eren’s proposal. Levi knows it—he was their homeroom teacher after all—so it’s the first hint about the conflict of providing.
However, Eren and Mikasa don’t acknowledge this problem together until chapter 7. In part, it is because if they speak about providing, they need to tackle the proposal (which we’ll talk about in just a second), but also because Mikasa has grown and realized that Eren’s wishes, even thought not really respectful of what she was, came from the best of him. As they drink beer after Marco’s funeral, though, the truth spills out when talking about how Eren had to take care about Carla economically after she was diagnosed by breast-cancer:
“When he looks at her, Mikasa’s gaze is beaming under the brewery lights, as if she had fallen into a realization. Maybe she has, Eren thinks, and her cheeks are blushed as she whispers: ‘You did what you had to do to provide.’
He merely says: ‘I would never stop providing for the ones I love.’”
Eren is smooth, but he’s basically confessing in here. Mikasa is too clever to ignore it, so that’s why she grows defensive about it and they begin the “famous” rant about this being Eren’s redemption story.
The proposal—sacred matrimony
If you’ve reread some passages of Rotten Judgement, you’d have known that the topic of marriage (they ironically call it: sacred matrimony) appears quite early in the story. In fact, we have the first mention of marriage already in Chapter 2, before Eren meets Mikasa 10 years after: “He has never even believed in sacred matrimony. Of course, the girl is not here, and it’s alright, it’s not a big deal, he tells himself, it’s not like I was to marry her. Then the mind goes back in time, to a promise.” Aha, my friends: we kinda knew that Eren thought about Mikasa romantically enough to promise her to marry her. The first thing we read after they see each other for the first time in years is: “They could have remembered the time when they were eight, or the time when they were eighteen —the first words they said to each other, sweet and toothy; the last words they said to each other, crying and angry”. So, we know that the first words were when they were little, and the last ones were a disaster.
I decided to introduce Eren’s beliefs after that. In chapter 3 we go back to the past for the first time, and we realize that little Eren wants to marry Mikasa. He talks about it with Carla, but because of Carla’s traumas and her relationship with Grisha, she takes away Eren’s romantic beliefs from it when Eren asks what marriage is:
“‘A contract’, Carla looked at his son, eager to know, curious as always, as she turned off the faucet, ‘is a document that you sign. It’s binding. Do you know what binding means?’ Eren shook his head no. ‘Binding means that there’s no going back. Once you sign it, there’s no saying, I don’t want her anymore. You won’t be happy that way if you’re bound to someone whom you do not like. Do you understand?’
Eren nodded. Then, the fire burnt in his eyes as he looked at his mom and said: ‘But what’s the issue, mom? I will always want to be bound to Mikasa.’” This is one of the first clear foreshadowings about the proposal.
But if he read further in the chapter, which is called “The contract”, we get to the party where Historia and Jean make Eren and Mikasa sign a contract saying that they won’t make war: “Historia and Jean watch Eren and Mikasa with avid eyes. They watch how their eyes meet, how their eyes skim over the paper, come back to their orbs, blush. They bite their lips, scrunch their noses, and want to get over with it. They take their gaze away from each other as if it burned.” In Eren and Mikasa’s reaction, they are acknowledging what a contract means and how the proposal went, even if they don’t say it: they feel ashamed, almost disgusted by it.
Yet: they think the same thing. They understand marriage as the same thing—a contract, providing, almost devoid of romantic love. Because they don’t understand marriage as an effort, only as a saving mechanism, they don’t think marriage can last, because it will make you responsible and miserable. The others (and, so, the reader) realize that something is wrong with Mikasa and Eren and marriage in chapter 4, when Mikasa confesses the reason why it didn’t work with Tetsuki:
‘“He wanted to marry, and I didn’t.”
The truth of it still catches Eren’s breath.
[…] “Well, Sasha, I don’t believe in sacred matrimony.”’
The fact that Eren is listening to the conversation, and how the reader reads into Eren’s reaction, is primordial here: I gave it to the pacing so that the reader follows the same hints as the friends, so when Sasha marvels saying that Eren says the same about marriage, the reader also is reminded of that (since Ymir says it about Eren in chapter 2!), but when placed in that conversation, there’s an “ah-effect” (hopefully).
Mikasa reminisces the proposal quite early, too. In chapter 5, we have the scene playing again but from her POV: “For his lips on hers—demanding, forceful, salted with tears. She has always wanted it so much—but has forbidden her to think about it during those ten years. Moving on implied not thinking about Eren.” After that, she confesses to Armin that even if she was in love with Eren at the time, love was impossible: “’Well’, she says, now bitterly, ‘not all those relationships end up with love, neither.’ Armin knows that in her downcast smile, there are some green eyes.”
The duality in here is that the reader can think that she’s talking about her rejection in the rooftop, but really, she’s talking about how their relationship ended. Furthermore, her guilt is something that also stains all of the narration, because it’s not as easy as “Eren was the bad one, and Mikasa the good one”. This is definitely something that I don’t like in stories: I believe I do my best when I portray the grey of the characters, and how everyone moves according to their mistakes and their interests.
So, having Mikasa also feel guilt towards Eren put another layer in the narration, because it made her feelings much more complex: she can’t forget him for the hurt he did to her, but also feels compelled to know that she hurt him in the same way by rejecting his marriage proposal.
Although we know why Mikasa rejected the proposal in chapter 13 (she couldn’t stand Eren’s pity), it is already in chapter 10 that we get Mikasa’s truth about how she feels towards the whole ordeal, even before we know, a chapter after, that Eren proposed:
“‘It’s just so shameful, to accept that I hurt him. I’m not sure how we can fix the damage we made’, she exhales. […] ‘But, sometimes, as we’re together, Levi—I don’t know, sometimes, he makes me wonder if I ever really wanted to leave him.’”
***
Next, and to finish off the series, we will talk about Mikasa’s voice. I am still very happy about chapter 13 (I feel like it’s one of the best chapters I have ever written…) so I want to talk to you about how I had to introduce the problem with the voice very early on. If you reread the first or second chapter and find the first time Mikasa’s voice appears, you’ll get a very delicious cookie! (hehe, kidding).
Thank you for reading. Rotten Judgement chapter 14 will be up tomorrow <3

Rating: 1/5
Book Blurb: Eight hours. Twelve contestants. A flight none of them might survive. A flight to Paris full of teenagers seeking opportunity turns deadly in this suspenseful, locked-door YA thriller. Perfect for fans of Diana Urban, Karen McManus, and Jessica Goodman. Seventeen-year-old boarding school student Emily Walters is selected for an opportunity of a lifetime—she’ll compete abroad for a cash prize that will cover not only tuition to the college of her choice, but will lift her mother and her out of poverty. But almost from the moment she and 11 other contestants board a private jet to Europe, Emily realizes somebody is willing to do anything to win. Between keeping an eye on her best friend’s flirty boyfriend and hiding her own dark secrets, she’s not sure how she’ll survive the contest, much less the flight. Especially when people start dying… As loyalties shift and secrets are revealed, Emily must figure out who to trust, and who’s trying to kill them all, before she becomes the next victim.
Review:
When twelve contestants get on a flight to enter into a competition to win a scholarship that would set them up for life, what they didn’t plan for was to for all their deepest darkest secrets to be revealed and one of them to be a killer killing off the other contestants. Emily Walters is a seventeen year old boarding school student who has been keeping some dark secrets: she’s in love with her best friend’s boyfriend, she cheated her way into this competition, and she is currently living in a car with her mom. Emily knows she isn’t suppose to be in this competition but she’ll do whatever it takes to win because she desperately needs the money... but when the stakes get higher and dead bodies start appearing and all their secrets are being revealed, Emily begins to realize that everyone on this plane has something to hide and someone is willing to kill for it. Now she has to figure out who she can trust and how far she is willing to go to win. This is a locked door mystery with a bit of romance. Let me first start off by saying I adore locked room mysteries, but this one really missed the mark for me. Emily was a very unlikable protagonist, and yes i know she’s a teen going through a rough time and is meant to come off unlikable so that when she has a “growth” moment later on in the story we are rooting for her, but if I’m being honest I definitely wasn’t rooting for her. Then there’s the killer reveal which was completely odd because it came out of nowhere, like the motive and the actual reasoning behind why they did what they did was not great at all. The romance was unnecessary and I didn’t really believe it. Sadly this one was a miss for me but if you enjoy locked room mysteries maybe give this one a go, maybe you’ll like it and have a better time than I did.
*Thanks Netgalley and PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Young Readers Group, Razorbill for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

youve heard of “i have a new favorite buddy daddies episode” now get ready for “i have a new LEAST favorite buddy daddies episode” // buddy daddies ep 11 spoilers
as i was watching ep 11 the things i kept repeating as i watched were “WHAT?”, “????????”, “this is not fucking happening”, and “oh my fucking god”
needless to say i’m REALLY unsatisfied with the choice to kill misaki off ): i’m 100% not impressed at all whatsoever. i don’t think it was a good or sensible choice, even for the tragedy points. it left a bad taste in my mouth and it really sort of bothered me for the rest of the episode. there was nothing other than annoyance and dissatsifcation with the way she dropped dead.
is that the point? maybe. to which i say: that’s not cool, dude! i don’t think i will be satisfied with this result no matter what!
buddy daddies has had REALLY GOOD story beats so far. much of the writing, i was cool with! i really liked buddy daddies for the refreshing writing it had with this sort of concept. however, killing misaki off right after she had shown just how much she tried to change for miri, just how desperately she wanted to give miri everything, just how much she wanted to do for miri is so wasteful. not to mention, killing off a single mother who tried her best to change and did leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
was she the most righteous character? no. you could even say that her attempt to change even after all the neglect she put miri through is a little tasteless. not a lot of people like her, and it makes sense because she didn’t treat her daughter all that well, only to come back for her. but she’s a much deeper character than the surface hypocrisy that she displays. she was dealt a terrible hand. she was unlucky and, while she may have perpetuated her unfortunate situation, there’s no changing that she is a victim. and not every victim plays out to be someone who can be admirable or likable. the point is, though, that despite everything, misaki proved that she wanted to be miri’s mother. and that she really did try her best to be a good mother towards the end.
(fuck i hate saying that! “towards the end” is so stupid!)
i, for one, actually really like misaki’s character. i don’t like what she’s done, but she’s a very well-written and complex character. she’s supposed to be this parallel to kazuki, which was clear from their confrontation in ep 3. that’s really neat IMO! the two of them contrasted each other well, especially with how they learned to be the best parent for the same child.
but killing her off? it just seemed like a waste. i don’t feel like there’s a way to justify that choice that will satisfy me. revenge will not make it any better for me, nor will some other choice. i have no idea what they’ll do for the last episode, but i don’t feel like the conclusion will be satisfying for misaki at all. i hope they prove me wrong, but i’m not particularly that hopeful.
would it have been hard to fit her into miri's life if kazuki and rei managed to fix everything? sure. it would've been hard, but it would've been worth it. miri's happiness includes her mother, too. especially her mother who tried her best despite the bad hand she was given. just 'cause it's hard doesn't mean it's wrong.
anyway, what else? that confrontation between kazuki and rei! if there’s anything to be satisfied with in this episode, it’s probably definitely that. the contrast between kazuki wanting to pull away from miri’s life to keep her safe vs rei wanting to continue their family was really great! it flipped their dynamic on its head!
i’m always here for rei growth, ok? the way the last few episodes were about rei’s growth (ep 8 + 9) was really good for what ep 11 did to cement that character growth! and seeing that resolve become what it is now - the determination to give miri the happiness she deserves for bringing warmth into his life - is really so good to me.
and kazuki’s complexity is shown further in here. he just watched misaki die (FML!), possibly even blaming himself for it. at this point he brought BOTH of miri’s biological parents to their deaths. that’s not something that someone as soft-hearted and family oriented as kazuki can take. from this point onward, he has to cut ties with miri so that he doesn’t take any other part of her - or worse, have her taken away from him. in his eyes, nothing has changed at all. he can’t do anything but bring misery to everyone around him, exactly as misaki had once told him. wow! ouch man!
but thankfully rei can convince him. rei, who is now determined to follow through with his resolve. rei who desperately wants to keep the warmth and happiness he’s been shown by this little family of theirs. he can’t achieve that warmth and happiness alone. kazuki was part of that happiness, so he’ll do his goddamned best to to convince him that they can change - for the child who brought that happiness into their lives.
there’s a thousand things i could say about their confrontation, but there’s so many other people who are also talking about it and i don’t want to rehash everything since i agree LOL but i just ... i really liked that flashback sequence, too. “we can change” and kazuki thinks about meeting yuzuko and losing her. he thinks about meeting miri. “this time, we’ll make miri happy” and he thinks about karin’s faith in him to make miri happy. yes you can, kazuki!!! yes you can!!!!!! because when has rei wanted something this badly before? if he’s by your side, if your efforts are combined, can’t you achieve that impossible dream??
it’s not bad for both of them to need each other. it’s not bad for all three of them to need each other. altogether, their little family makes all of them happy.
but mark my words, PAworks. i care more about miri’s happiness than you do GRAHH misaki’s alive in my canon ok

6 and 11 please!!! I'm especially interested in what other plot bunnies you have floating around in your head/ wips you haven't made public!
Hello hello! Thank you so much for the ask!! I've got ten minutes before a meeting starts so I'll try to answer this before that happens <3
6 - Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?
I don't have many unused OCs at the moment, at least any that are like... active.
I used to be extremely, almost problematically (for me) into Star Wars back in the day, and I have a BUNCH of Star Wars OCs (Lorrdian, Twi'lek, Togruta, Dathomiri, etc) that I used to RP with on a MUD way back when, and some I just drummed up to think of using some day for (typically) that game, but yeah. They're still in my head, in the back, just chillin'. I don't know if I'll ever go back to Star Wars fandom to that degree, but it's there.
I DO have one... kind of. She's vague at the moment, but... when I was still watching MHA (it's been a hot minute and I was way behind even when I stopped watching last) I had an idea for a super-hero character and I SWEAR if I ever get over my fear of writing action and a couple of other things, I would LOVE to write a Superhero story (though probably not MHA-related so much as the original idea was) with her in it.
11 - Sum up one or more of your wips!
The Rescue - A man is shipwrecked after a storm claims his ship and his crew, and winds up being saved by a woman who is 50 feet high, in a giant world.
The Stranding - Nearly two years after rescuing a 7-inch tall man from the waves near her home, a woman's journey to return him home ends with her shipwrecked on his own shore. Now she begins to live as a 50 foot tall person in a world not built for her.
The Faerie Spell - A girl falls victim to a very crafty Faerie's use of a forbidden spell, and now finds herself cursed to shrink whenever the Faerie decides to steal her height and get up to mischief wherever they are. Now she's trying to navigate her life as normal, but things seem... dramatically different when your perspective changes like this.
No Name Superhero G/t Maybe-Someday Story - A new superhero looks to join a team/is recruited to a team. Their power is (vaguevague for reasons vague) size manipulation of others. Members of the team try to uncover more about this new member/their past/what's actually going on with them. ***THIS MAY NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE I AM SCARED but I do have lots of ideas of it.
I hope these answers were good and that you enjoyed them!! I wound up not getting it finished before the meeting so now it is after-meeting time, but always feel free to send asks or reach out! Thanks so much for the ask <3

How villains are made
I really liked how the whole story of 1 was foreshadowed by that DnD campaign in the first episode. You thought Vecna is dead? Too bad, he’s back even stronger. Again.
I dislike how they always kill the most fun new characters. At least, this time they all had plot reasons. Nothing would have changed if Alexei lived (I was pretty shocked that this season's Russians lived).
I really liked Nancy and Robin doing stuff together and becoming friends. Too bad the show kept El and Max separate till the very end. There can be more than one female friendship on scree at the same time.
I'm not sure how I feel about them rehashing the who will Nancy chose thing. I find love triangles trite and tiresome (unless they plan to do Sense8 and let them end up together). This is for Jonathan-Nancy-Steve. I'm too old too even consider the other one and even when I think of actor's ages not characters. The older I get the weirder is to think about kids so young being set up by stories for forever love.
Also, I hope Mike, Will and Jonathan get to do more in next season. Jonathan especially, since he really had no plot - outside being the driver (and stoned). Will at least was involved in propping Mike up through his relationship problems (and hiding his own infatuation) while Mike was dealing with being love interest of superhero instead of a main character. Those are like kind of plots at least. Jonathan had nothing. No wonder Nancy is looking at Steve again - that guy gets character development (but, no seriously, I liked Steve’s life goal is being a dad - he knows what he’s good at). Still, it's funny how Robin's love life looks better than Steve's.
But I really enjoyed this season otherwise - much more than the last one. I loved El getting a chance to deal with her past and confront Brenner on his abuse and toxic love. Her dad, was the one who tried to help her even from the other side of the world. The one who trusted her to do what she must. Papa only wanted to control.
No wonder El also thought Henry was bad because of Brenner. She wasn't there when Robin and Nancy figured it out and when he told his real story. She didn't know he was always like that and it skewed Brenner's view on the kids and the methods he used to keep them in line. Every step just making worse monsters. Until Eleven escaped and found real family to love her.
I also loved Hawkins storyline. The way they figured out what was happening and saved Max and even that they tried to save the world. They thought they are alone at this and - no more superheroes or even authority figures to help any more - and they came up with a pretty good plan. They still couldn't fight a mind reader - as Steve said they needed El - but they laid out everything so it all was ready when she came and gave them the opening they needed. They really managed to inflict some damage when. Too bad El couldn't get there on time in person to make sure it lasted. And they might've even stopped the opening of the big gated if some stupid, white boy with a hero complex didn't spoil everything (and crush the walkman).
And now comes the theory time
What 1 does is consume the people he kills (she even tells his victims they will join him). He did it in our world but when 11 send him to Upside Down he could grow this taking over that whole reality and moulding it into his perfect world and what he consume there into his hive mind. Now he is coming back to the same to Earth.
I think the only way to defeat him will be to free all the people he killed (maybe even to free to Upside Down creatures - that Demodog Dustin raised shows they may not be inherently evil). It most likely means 11 will need to go into 1's mind to free them and she may not come back (maybe she can take over ruling Upside Down?).
This is also why Max’s mind is empty - 11 brought her body back to life but the mind is still in 1's possession keeping the Gates open. When 11 frees all the minds they will be able to finally die but Max has a body to return to so she can be saved.
Of course, the biggest issue is they aren’t just fighting 1 - the military is still hunting 11 and Owens has been captured and their allies are left with few resources. I bet they also will blame Hawkings on 11 too.
