there is always going to be something a little off-putting to me about claiming a definitive canon sexuality for a character that doesn't actually have one.

like, we all have our headcanons, of course. and that's fine. but there's a world of difference between "i headcanon this character as gay" and "this character is gay in canon", and so frequently the latter isn't even true. if it's not stated in the source material nor by the creator, then it isn't canon. and that's okay!!

like, okay, it doesn't affect me anyway because no listed sexuality could ever stop me from shipping what i want to, but also... this is so often just an excuse to be mad at people for shipping "the wrong thing". it also tends to dip really uncomfortably into biphobic/panphobic territory.

to use a relevant example, unless ryoko kui has officially stated marcille and/or falin are lesbians (i don't think she has?), you cannot act like they are canonically. not only do they have no in-canon definitive romance (because dunmeshi is not a romance story), but even if you interpret their bond as queer (and like, most of us do, i certainly do), that doesn't for sure mean they only like women. you can headcanon that they do, but you can't harass other fans for not treating them that way. you have to accept that they will both be shipped with men, and it's not homophobia unless the shipper in question is actually, you know, being homophobic about it.

nothing another fan does will ever change what happened in canon, nor alter your own fanwork. you can do whatever you want forever. if someone making your fave blorbo a sexuality you don't agree with pisses you off, block them. if they ship things you hate so much that it makes you mad, block them. you're allowed to. this is your space to curate as you please.

people on the other side do it, too. "ummm chilchuck has a wife" is something i've seen slung at m/m ships for him. not only does his canon wife (who, you know, left his ass, stop acting like shipping him with anyone else is unreasonable on that alone) not preclude headcanoning him as gay if you want to, but it ABSOLUTELY doesn't preclude him being bisexual. for fuck's sake. gay and straight are not the only sexualities. i'm going to drop the contents of a dirty litterbox on your head.

like... genuinely, headcanon whatever you want. you could make everyone in the cast the same exact sexuality if you wanted to. what you shouldn't be doing is acting like anyone else is beholden to your ideas. or, hell, even canon's ideas. fandom is about the freedom to do what you want with your blorbos. have fun with it and stop blaming other fans for not making the content YOU want.

incredible chaser game w moments (part 2) up to & incl. episode 4

my prediction of itsuki running into & taking care of little tsuki and the two of them then being found by fuyu, resulting in an awkward and heartbreaking scene, came true exactly like that. i think this scene was genuinely so well done and well acted, it broke my heart. i think this was the scene that really got me to say Damn, I'm invested in this now...

i'm never a fan of the trope of a bilingual character breaking out into their native tongue for swearing or just randomly, but it is fun that only fuyu does it and that all the other chinese characters just don't speak mandarin at all. and i'm happy they actually cast a bilingual actress for fuyu!

episode 4 was the mid-series finale, and it definitely showed. this was the best episode so far by a pretty significant margin imo.

i would like to talk about the best scene of this show yet. i really wished it was longer and was given even more weight. in episode 4, fuyu & itsuki are sitting in the living room together at night, so far apart that they're completely out of each other's camera shots even. i found this to be the most interesting scene so far. there was genuine tension in the shot composition, the acting, the complete absence of music. just silence and their voices. "after all, it was all my fault, wasn't it? that we ended up like this?" fuyu still deep down believes that she was the reason their relationship failed. she wasn't enough, because she's fuyu, because she's a woman. she still thinks that. my heart fucking broke in two

their fight after fuyu came back home drunk was so funny. especially with their height difference... hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby

after finally learning the truth about their break-up, fuyu is absolutely devastated. "you valued your promise to my mother more than the one you made to me?" just completely broken. after all this time sitting with these unresolved emotions, feelings of guilt and deep shame, only for that to be the reason? I feel so bad for her

i had a lot of thoughts on this one and i've found great joy in going deep into the twt tags for it as well. and i'm glad to see many japanese sapphics also being super vocal about the show. it's really interesting to read and interact with that side of the fandom i haven't really seen in this capacity for a (lesbian) live action show yet. i see people slowing down & brightening up footage to analyse who's taking each other's clothes off first, people just posting close-ups of Yuuka's hands, people going into Yurika's past filmography to dig up ancient clips of other sapphic roles she's played (of which there seem to be actually quite a lot?). i love to see it lmao. on a more serious note, it makes me happy to see sapphics from so far away expressing themselves similarily to myself or my other lesbian friends. it's cute!! as for cgw, part b of the series is gonna be intense, and i'm especially curious to see how they're gonna do the inevitable breakdown of fuyu again. my girl is so deep in the trenches, her temporary being on cloud 9 right now is gonna be short-lived and i want to see it happen. i hope she can really stand up for herself and make things right after all!

So difficult to decide! I think it has to be Anthy though. I love her, I love how vicious she is, I love how petty she is, and I love how funny she can be. I find myself always so excited by imagining the future, what Anthy's personality develops into when she leaves the garden.

Least Favourite Character

I mean. The correct answer is Akio, but actually, I think Ruka. Ruka is all of Akio's manipulation and lies, but he's stupid enough to actually lie to himself that the girl he tried to break for two episodes actually could fall in love with him. At least Akio never deludes himself into that.

5 Favourite Ships

Utena/Anthy - Duh. No notes, 10/10, liberatory lesbian love

Juri/Wakaba - I really like the idea of Juri finding real kindness and joy in Wakaba, and Wakaba finding somebody who thinks of her as her most special thing.

Juri/Anthy - Not as one of those ships that's cute and good, but one of those ships where they would be a destructively horrible trainwreck, but I find myself fascinated by it. My characterization of Juri is never good enough to do this, so the past three Yuletides, I've been trying to get my gifter to write me the year that Akio decided Juri would be the one who keeps Anthy as a Rose Bride? I think that would have been an unmitigated, fascinating disaster.

Saionji/Touga - Honestly, this one goes either way, in that I like the idea of them maybe leaving Ohtori themselves at one point, and learning how to have a non-toxic relationships to each other? But also, I LOVE the idea of them just stuck in Akio's nightmare play, getting worse and worse and being more and more horrible to each other.

Nanami/Freedom, get her out of there. Be free.

(bonus) Nanami/Kozue - Two things make me consider this intriguing pairing. One, the contrasted imagery they both have, where Kozue is the free bird, the wild animal snarling her way out of the cage, as Nanami as the cow, the domesticated. What does it mean for Nanami to encounter Kozue's philosophy? But also Nanami who drowns the kitten that draws Touga's attention, and Kozue as the one who saves the baby bird, even at her own expense. Something something, compassion, adoration, self-preservation. Fun contrasts! I feel like they would hate each other at first, but find something genuinely transformative in the other. Also they both love Miki.

Character I find most attractive

Juri. The long hair, the fencing, the way she can go both high-femme and pretty butch? Queen.

Character I would marry

Wakaba. I feel like she'd genuinely try to take care of me, and also I would fucking adore her. She's so cute. She's the sort of person you could hang out with for a really long time, and I value that in a person.

Character I Would Be Best Friends With

Tragically, probably Miki. Very similar interests, and as much as I would shake my head at the way he places the girls he likes on pedestals and then demonizes them if they ever tumble off that pedestal, he would also shake his head at my tendency to avoid all my problems like the plague.

(Canon OTP is obviously Utena/Anthy, and non canon is Nanami/Kozue.)

Pairing I Am Not a Fan Of

Obviously, all of the incest ones, but honestly, I'm pretty meh on Shiori/Juri. A fascinating dynamic when done correctly, but when people write stuff about them in the future where everything's fine and they don't have tension between them...IDK. I think it's important to me that even without the homophobic pressure of Ohtori trapping them both, that Juri has created this false image of Shiori in the same way that Miki does for Kozue, and that Juri doesn't really know Shiori very well, in the end, because of her inability to ever really recognize Shiori's jagged edges. I think that would haunt their relationships, even if they tried to be together, how much Juri doesn't actually see or understand Shiori's inner personality.

Character I feel the Writers Screwed Up

Mikage! While I LOVE the aesthetic and thematic focuses of the Black Rose Arc, I think they don't quite knock it out of the park with Mikage. I wish Mikage was a more interesting mirror to Utena, but his devotion to Mamiya just doesn't feel like it's in a strong conversation with Utena's relationship to Anthy, which I think was a missed opportunity! I would have loved to see more about Mikage's obliviousness, where he knows something is wrong but shrugs it off for one more day. Or I feel like pushing further into the idea of Mikage being a prodigy who is out of his depth as a parallel to Utena which doesn't get explored very much. Idk...after such an incredible slate of character episodes, I remember being pretty disappointed at the climax of Black Rose Arc!

Favourite Friendship

Miki&Nanami! I think they keep each other mostly in check! Miki can sometimes shame Nanami into not showing off her mean girl instincts, and Nanami's a lot more savvy and cunning than Miki is, which helps keep him away from self-loathing spirals, or being taken advantage of. They're fun together!

Some time ago I said I would make a post about my opinion on various of the kuro characters' stance on the LGBTQA+ community so here It comes i guess. Gonna be a pretty long post I suppose.

Starting off with what may be a hot take: o!Ciel ain't homophobic or transphobic or anything. Yana may write him like that, but I feel like that's her problem and not his. It makes basically no sense with his character. He's just a dude trying to live his life and he canonically doesn't judge people for going against what society thinks should be the "norm" (His speech defending Snake in the Campania arc, to name one instance). He HIMSELF doesn't really follow the "norm" of a noble of that time period (Treats his human servants (so not Sebastian) like actual human beings and even family, doesn't seem to go to church or leave his house for fun much, hates socializing and going to parties). I personally even read him as aroace!

Plus he canonically read (or was at least knowledgeable about) Carmilla, wich I never read but from what I hear was gay Dracula before Dracula was invented.

That said, in modern era he WOULD make gay funtom merchandise for pride month only for the profit and not to stand by the gays. Not because he's homophobic, he just doesn't care about being so public in his support for the community if not for that sweet, sweet money. Tiny capitalist child. Awful little man.

Now, if you want to blame a Phantomhive for being homophobic...that's R!Ciel. An actually alive, not bizarre doll R!Ciel could be convinced of the LGBTQA+ community not being bad IF (and only if) his brother was a part of it and o!Ciel slowly educated him on what not to say or think. Like not even the knowledge that his father is the most bisexual person alive would convince him, he'd just live in denial. But we know that o!Ciel is sacred for him. "If brother says this, then it's the truth."

Bizarre doll R!Ciel is like those mums that go "I'm fine with gay people I just think that [insert extremely homophobic statement here]". He also says stuff like "The A in the LGBTQA+ community stands for Ally :)"

Lizzie is very nice and openly supportive, but WILL get sometimes flustered in front of two gay people being gay. She will also sometimes stumble and say something bad by mistake, but she immediately corrects her behavior as soon as she's explained that what she said wasn't right.

Tanaka? Complete Ally. No boomer behavior from the Grandpa ever.

Mei Rin? Ally. She is also a total lesbian who just hasn't come to terms with it yet, though. So for now she just says she's an Ally and moves on.

Finny is also an Ally who just doesn't get he's part of the community yet. He's aroace and doesn't know it.

Bard says he's an Ally, but the fact is that the only gay person he doesn't support is himself. Had his bi awakening after working with Sebastian at the Manor but denies it to himself like o!Ciel denies himself love and happiness.

Speaking of Sebastian, he's a very homophobic gay being. Not with himself. He knows he ain't straight and isn't upset about it. But if another person drops hints that they are, he's mad about it and WONT support them. Unless it's Agni. If it's Agni, he's EXTREMELY happy about it...

Agni is either Bi or a complete Ally.

Soma is the token straight friend. He's a complete Ally tho. Doesn't even hesitate. "Oh you're into men? That's cool! I'm into curry :)"

William is aroace and okay with that but he's also homophobic and transphobic.

Ronald is either Bi or another "token straight, ally friend"

I feel like straightness/Cis is a thing of the past in the Fallout universe.

Almost everyone got a lil bend in them.

Like straight off, the people of the wasteland are prone to having segg’s with non-humanoid species so the idea that Jack and Fred banged isn’t outta the realm of possibility’s and is probably the more preferred option rather then Fred getting it off with the Mierlurk King.

It’s be easy to say that everyone swings both ways considering that no matter your SS gender, the option to romance them will always be there but mostly everyone’s got some lil marks bout them that show which way they lean more towards.

Piper is the definition of a lesbian in denial, Danse for a matter of fact has messed around with a few fellow male knights when he was a knight, Hancock and Cait just seem like a pair who don’t really care what gender you are just as long as it’s fun for everyone, and don’t ask Mac what he has done for a pile of caps.

Curie, for the life of her, cannot figure out what she is and that is fine.

I whole heartily believe that X6, Deacon, Preston, Nick are ace. I’m not just saying that cause of lack of attraction towards a gender, they just seem like a group who just wants someone to hold. X6 hates everyone equally btw

I agree- I don’t think the show is making Jack out to be “the evil lesbian” at all, and honestly anyone who seriously claims that should calm down. LGBT+ characters having flaws, even bad flaws, doesn’t mean they’re evil or that the writers are homophobic, it means they’re characters. JackxKeeley are obviously not going to be long-term for a # of reasons. Like you said, a show doesn’t introduce a long-term couple by having them drunkenly hook up 10 seconds after one of them admits to not being over their ex (and can’t even say his name). Besides, I can’t imagine Brett being ok with ending the show with them still apart lol.

Anyway IMO as a RoyxKeeley shipper, I don’t think Jack was written to be a shit gf that drives Keeley back to Roy. I think it’s kind of the opposite. You could argue that on paper, power imbalance aside, Jack and Keeley make more sense than Roy and Keeley. They’re both similar ages, fun, bi, independent + rich businesswomen, and good communicators. I think Jack’s biggest flaw will be that she’s just not Roy. It was their differences that made Roy and Keeley such a compelling and electric couple. And remember, Keeley doesn’t even know why Roy ended things. I can’t imagine finding out that Roy gave her up bc he thought she would realize that she deserved better would have no impact on her. Obviously Roy’s arc this season has been learning to accept that he’s worthy of good things, and although it’s less clear cut I think Keeley’s arc is similar to the team’s: succeeding takes a lot of trial and error. I think the second half will see her gain confidence as a boss bitch and go after what she wants. And I think part of that will be confronting Roy. Sorry for rambling lol

I do understand where queer people who are upset about the direction Jack/Keeley is going and/or who have concerns re: the "evil lesbian" trope are coming from. As I said in my initial post on this, I think it's a complex issue and mileage is going to vary for different people given their own experiences. A lot of wlw representation in media has been god awful, with wlw characters portrayed as horribly toxic or else killed off needlessly. I see where the concerns are rooted and I am always going to be understanding and sympathetic to queer people who just want to see themselves represented in healthy and loving relationship portrayals onscreen.

Is giving Jack unfavorable traits "fuel" for homophobic people? I mean, of course. I have already seen a number of people latching on to the issues with them last episode and using it as justification to immediately call Jack a "creeper" "abuser" and any other number of things that all more or less translate to "I hate Jack and I think Keeley deserves to return to a REAL MAN, Roy Kent, because I am a flaming bigot." However...that doesn't mean the answer is that the show shouldn't give her any unfavorable traits? The unfortunate reality is these people were always going to be homophobic regardless of whether Jack/Keeley break up or are endgame. It is really disgusting behavior to see, obviously, but I think it's important to remember that it is viewers and not the show itself who are demonizing Jack (at least at this point).

My PERSONAL opinion as a bi woman is this: I think it is silly to say that introducing a wlw relationship to the show is only worthwhile if it's perfect and wonderful and ultimately endgame, or that the writers are only allowed to have a "messy" wlw relationship if they also have a second, "perfect" wlw relationship to counterbalance it. As you said: the writers are just writing characters as people. Putting all these restrictions on the stories people want to tell and demanding they fit into certain boxes to be "acceptable" is going to leave us with a lot of really shitty media, at the end of the day.

We do have excellent queer representation on the show this season and it is in the form of three beautiful queer characters: Colin, Trent & Keeley. I think it is a little reductive to say that the show will only pass the "good representation" checkbox if these characters end up in certain relationships. Keeley is an incredible, complex character who has always been bi, will always be bi, and is wonderful bi representation regardless of whether she ends up with Jack, Roy, Jamie or nobody at all.

OKAY xx now on to the other part, Roy/Keeley:

I agree with so much of what you said. Roy/Keeley certainly had their issues (personally I think it goes beyond just "Roy doesn't think he's good enough for her or deserving of love" even though that was clearly component #1 in the break), but their differences definitely balanced in certain ways that made them an electric, compelling couple! I think both of them really needed this season to explore who they are individually and come into themselves a little bit on their own before their relationship would actually work long-term. And I do think there is going to be a reckoning between them where they lay it all out there (and we learn more about their actual break) and they decide how to move forward together, friends or partners or otherwise.

Personally I do think it would be a little rushed to put them back together at the end of this season with only five episodes left, as there are still so many loose threads between them (together as well as within their individual arcs) and only so much screen time. But the writers tend to surprise me, so if they do it, I just hope they do it in a satisfying way :)

You know, as a bi person, I really kind of hate the aggressive pissing on hetero ships by virtue of it being hetero and not for the actual faults of the couple or characters.

Mind you; this is not the same problem as homophobes people who insist they don't hate gay stuff but have 0 gay couples and fight headcanons saying that they're gay. Those people, even if they don't know it; are homophobic. Their stubborness to face the fact that they're bigots makes them even more bigoted because bigotry does not inherently = being mean, but is about the inability to accept or think of other people. It's scary how many people earnestly think you have to shout some Westbro Baptist Church bs to be actually homophobic, and all that's before you get to internalized bigotry within the LGBTQ culture. Speaking of which...

I saw a thread where people were hating on Friendship is Magic because Pinkie Pie canonically gets with Weird Al's ponysona. --Obv I'm biased because that being made canon was the only part of the finale I liked as obviously I loved Cheese Sandwich for being his own character apart from Pinkie Pie and Weird Al-- but, BESIDES THAT; The complaint was talking about how some characters were "forced into being straight" by the writers and...really? You're incapable of headcanoning Pinkie and Cheese are bi or in an open marriage or just invalidating Pinkie now because she's the only one of the mane 6 who canonically had a kid with a stallion? Really?

There's being queer baited and wanting more gay couples that are also main characters and not off to the side cyclops police. And then there's getting mad that a character without a canonized sexuality is in a hetero relationship at least once in their life. Not even that they themselves are for sure straight, just that they're married or w the opposite sex.

Naturally, I only have women shippers to talk about. I can't quite talk for gay men or m/m shipcourse. Whenever I see lesbiansapphics be all "even canonically straight characters should be made gay"/"this ship would be fine if it were lesbians"/"this character should have gotten with this character so I can have lesbians", I do know it's all just joking. At least, I'm pretty sure. I know the reason you want more lesbians -I want more lesbians too because lesbians are great! You are right in how and what kind of scrutiny is held against you for liking women and like fiction women liking other fictional women...but...maybe don't be so judgemental of the ladies on your side who happen to like some m/f ships more than your appointed 'good' ship?

I've seen people adore The Owl House for being gay because it is but absolutely hate that Willow/Hunter is implied and then be mad that Luz didn't get with Willow because "Amity is a bad girlfriend". It's not Dana's fault that Luz got with the "wrong woman", the show was written with Lumity being endgame and Hunter being an important side character because he's related to the main villain who is a man. Cope. I've seen people hate on MysteryElk because Elktaur/General has a standardly attractive' hunky design; I've seen people hate Edred from Unicorn Warriors Eternal for being an icky 'generic' guy. If you actually know the characters and the relationships in question with their lovers, you'd know that the fact that they're a man is the LEAST problematic thing they got going on! No, the men in these couples being women would not "fix" anything not just for shippers but in the actual show with the relationships. Like, you DO get that the problem is Nowhere King is the aggressor and that Edred is clingy and unsupportive, right? That those are the actual problems with these couples? And GOSH do I now hate Clone High's insistence that JFK is actually a decent person because he's not a 'pick me' like Abe. I hate that, in the wake of the internet realizing how bad tumblr sexymen nice guys really are, we apparently have to pick out the men who are "salvageable" or obsess over the problemed ones problems because they are men. Which- come to think of it, isn't that part of the issue with SnapeWife-types who stan flawed male characters like their the second coming but antagonize women characters for being flawed? Shouldn't we, idk, maybe encourage people to love characters for their flaws and not because we can 'fix' them somehow or hate them because they exemplify a person you hate irl?

Overall, the (hopefully) ironic demand for gay couples all the time like it's a supremacy is kind of irritating to me. I'm just not into living with the "this majority group are all the things wrong"-mindset, or even a "you deserve to feel the bigotry I already experience because that's cathartic for me". I know exactly why people are in pain. I know that pain because a lot of it is the same I have to go through. The reason I'm 'biting back', not at the gay community I'm in but at this specific mindset? Yeah it IS because I'm obsessed with people judging me, but I think it's because I'm self aware of this problem I have that I don't want to indulge the part of me that wants petty payback at all. When and if I like my petty payback, I want to make sure it's not at the people who might be judging me vs the people who actually, honestly are.

TL;DR: I love me some 'straights are not okay'-jokes, but there comes a point where I can not hear them when you clearly don't mean it as a joke.

No amount of active bigotry in this world will make the toxic absolutism you got as a result of that bigotry something I need to deal with as the butt of your anger. I and other bi/pan/ally people are not your stress dolls, inherently. The straights (a group) are not okay, not the straights (individuals), k?

13. Worst blorbfication.

Admittedly, I am An Old, and have a tenuous grip on the meaning of some of these fandom words, but I believe this is just generally a term for "let's really hyperfixate on this particular character, possibly to the point of misunderstanding or completely rewriting their character." Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Cody. Fight me.

I love clones. I understand why they're a popular group of characters to love and write about and make art for. I adore Rex and Wolfe and Gregor. The Bad Batch boys. Beloved Howzer. But the absolute rabidness for Cody makes zero sense to me.

His main personality trait is…. competent? He is a human shaped wall for Obi-Wan to talk at. And he does talk at him. Obi-Wan has more dialogue with Rex, Waxer, and Boil (and probably some others, but TCW is long and I can only remember so much) than he ever does with Cody. He has more chemistry with Rex! 

Clearly this is Codywan related, and, by all means, ship and let ship, but I just really wish people understood that 99% of Cody's so-called personality is absolutely fanon. Not canon. He's boring and flat in canon. Some people write a beautiful character for him, and I appreciate that, but please understand the FANS are making him interesting. He isn't actually interesting. And to be clear, it is the Cody fans that are the brilliant, creative masterminds behind making Cody an interesting character. That's you! Not the creators! Be proud of what YOU created! Be mad your favorite blorbo got the personality of a doorstop in canon!

Runner up is the Armorer, especially in regards to shipping her with Bo-Katan. Y'all, she is not a nice person. Again, ship and let ship, but your favorite lesbian is a cult leader who leads a cult that actively works at alienating the members from each other, she kicked Din out, called him an apostate, and told him he could only be forgiven by doing what was thought, until he steamrolled him way through the challenge, to be an impossible task. She's bad. And it's ok to let bad guys be bad! The baddies are more interesting, anyway! I can go on and on about this but I won't. If you want more, send me an ask.

Honorable mention is woobyfying any baddie. It's cool to dive into why a baddie is bad, but please, for the love of all that is good and holy, understand that it is ok, fun, right, and highly entertaining to love baddies because they are bad. One merely has to read a few of my fics to understand how much I love my garbage boys (Pre Vizsla, Maul, Dryden Vos, Orson Krennic). Let your baddies be bad. You will have more fun, I promise.

14. That one thing you see in fics all the time.

Confession: I read very little fic these days (prefer to write in my downtime), and I typically only read fic written by certain people OR fic that is recommended to me by people who know what I like. I was curious the other day, and clicked on the Obi-Wan/Satine tag on AO3 and was instantly reminded why I have become so discerning about what I read. Despite being on their tag, the first 4 or 5 fics were actually Codywan, Jango/Obi, ArmorBo for some reason, and possibly something else that was definitely not an Obitine fic. And all of those fics were not kind to Satine.

So, this is why I'm pretty picky about fics (keep in mind, I read pretty much only fics about Obi-Wan and/or Kryzes. I have extremely limited interests when it comes to fic, though I'm always up for some good Mara Jade!).

I don't like most m/m Obi-Wan fics. Not because I don't like m/m or I'm a homophobe, or anything like that, but because Obi-Wan is so often written to be a fragile, delicate flower in need of some big strong clone or not-Mandalorian Mandalorian to care for him. And Satine is some mean, bitchy blonde lady who performed cultural genocide. I hate ALL of this. (For the record, while I don't actively seek out Obikin because it just isn't my jam, every one that I have read has been great, because both of them are so well understood by those that write them).

I hate any and all Kryze slander. Full stop. Bo's hate has slowed some with season 3 of Mando (though a lot of people writing her still don't get her because they haven't seen her in anything else, and just don't realize just how far she has really, truly come, or why the absence of Satine's name is felt so deeply by those of who have loved Bo for so long). Satine hate is alive, well, and very strong. 

I also do not like most fics that take you out of a galaxy far far away (I have some exceptions). I love Star Wars because of space wizards, spaceships, laser swords, and aliens. It's fine if you want to pull them out of that world and plop them in….I don't know, a university on earth, but I won't be reading it. It takes all the fun right of it for me.

15. That one thing in fanart you see all the time.

About me:

1: Hello there! Welcome to my blog! You call me by my username or for short Climber, but my real name is Alana but I will mostly feel comfortable going by my username! My pronouns are He/Him but I’m actually a female and I feel oddly comfortable with those pronouns than She/Her pronouns! I’m also quoisexual which means I cannot relate neither understand experiences or concepts of sexual attraction and orientation, but it could also mean I'm confused about my own feelings of sexual attraction and orientation!

2: I am a self-taught artist! I have had many moments in my life where I felt about giving up on art, but I have soon to realize that I started to get better at art the longer I continued to try and practice on my own and make more art! I was a little hesitant on showing my art work to the public internet community since I thought people would make fun of it! But I saw that people started to like my art work that I post and so that gave me more confidence to post more of my art work and improve!

3: There are specific stuff that I post on my blog, things such as DemJay, Law of talos, Endzone, Burning Avalon, Witches dimension! I will sometimes post some slightly suggestive stuff but i will mainly post normal and fluff art of my favorite characters! But I may take a week off here and there every once in a while but I promise to post daily every week!

Random facts:

1: I have actually been through many sexuality from the start of a very young age! I desperately tried to look for the right sexuality that fit me! I went from thinking I was a lesbian, straight, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, aromatic, to finally finding the right one that fit me! Quoisexual!

2: I was a Lankybox fan for a long period of time until they started to post some stuff that I didn’t really find entertaining anymore? I guess that’s how you can put it? I mainly started to watch TikTok and other YouTubes more often now. I actually had a Lankybox TikTok account which one was Gacha and one was edits of them! But I did end up deleting them and changing my account entirely. I did have one other Gacha account on TikTok that I was famous on but sadly I got logged out.

3: I actually have a very old YouTube channel of me and my dad when I was young and they're still up! I won't tell you the account name tho- BECAUSE IT'S CRINGE.. But it's just kinda about my outside garden and me just acting like the child I used to be :P

4: Whenever someone new follows or likes my post I just take a look at their account and see what type of stuff they post! So I kinda stalk your account for a little while!

happy pride month!!!! anyway tua pride headcanons cus i want to lol :P *note- i do not identity with all of these labels. i cannot give you a personal experience or defense for these. if i include any harmful stereotypes, lmk. it’s pride month and queer people are valid*

luther- to me he’s like a cishet guy honestly. i still love the pride hc’s other people have, bc most of the time they’re really good. i just prefer this reading, espec. with sloane (QUEEN!!!!). i also don’t like the s1 era fics where everyone hated luther (almost entirely unjustified) so they would make him be a dick to klaus and stuff. like did he drink reggie’s kool aid? yes. but is he homophobic? no. i think a better example in a canonical kid fic of him saying mean things to klaus for plot would be like,, making fun of him for being a druggie or lazy, because that’s stuff that reginald would actually encourage him to say. rant over lmao that just has always bothered me.

diego- honestly this one is back and forth for me, between bisexual and straight. like him and lila being bi4bi is just too fucking amazing, but he does give off straight guy energy sometimes so i’ll put it at a bi-curious. he’s def an ally though, and i can imagine he would do his best to get over his fear of needles to help v with his t shots, or defend klaus from homophobic assholes. although i personally hc him as cis, the transmasc diego people have their fucking shit together because that HITS DIFFERENT. i think done right, it adds so much to his character in AU’s and stuff and it’s just rly cute!! but bisexual diego is a very fanon thing that i like to see.

allison- i think probably straight and cis once again. she seems very comfy and happy in her femininity and gender, and her with ray??? (sidenote almond as a ship name makes me lose it ITS SO CUTE). i think she’s always been a big ally to klaus. i can also see her as pan or bi, but pressured to appear as straight by the constant eyes on her since she was like ten. i mean not only was she the only girl, but also a black girl? she was 100% so insecure during her childhood because people were constantly critiquing her. so honestly i don’t think it would be too out of the ordinary to hc her as queer.

klaus- i mean, we all know this one. as far as i know he has been canonically (though not mentioned in show, more like an interview or something) pansexual and non-binary. if not then it’s VERY FANON. directly through the show, we see his attraction to men through dave and also his enjoyment of more feminine clothes and makeup and things like that. i hc him as genderqueer and just generally chilling out and not really caring too much about labels. like a “i’ll fuck you if you’re hot” kind of attitude.

five- now this one might get me some weirdness, but i don’t see five as a cishet man for my hc’ing purposes. a common fanon opinion is that he’s asexual, which i totally like. i also think he’s gay. i guess that would be homoromantic? and also agender. he said no. no. MEN. i think that any romantic hc that does not acknowledge delores is not doing it right, bc holy shit delores is so fucking important to the understanding of his character!!!!! i believe in the interpretation that delores is himself, but a separated part that he forced himself to view as a separate entity to survive the apocalypse. he kind of fucking tricked himself into loving himself, though unfortunately as many people have pointed out, he doesn’t see himself as capable of good. he doesn’t see that delores is him- he can’t. he was down bad though for his mannequin apocalypse wife okay??? they were in love fuck you???? idk sexuality is fluid. let this old man live his life. he’s so tired. also agender, i think they don’t like being called a boy (possibly childhood trauma, possibly gender) but still is okay with “old man”.

ben- he is the token cishet of the upper numbers trio ( 567 icons real and true ). the jennifer incident was heavily implied if not directly and canonically stated to be a romantic issue, and also him and jill!!!! yes it was weird but it was so cute. bring back umbrella ben istg idc about the themes you messed them up in s3 anyway. i would talk more about him BUT HE NEVER GOT ENOUGH FUCKING SCREENTIME EVER AND THE THEMES THE THEMES HIS CHARACTER THEY DIDN- gets shot

viktor- canonically transmasc, canonically a woman enjoyer, ten out of ten character. i love looking at s1 era fics where people would be like. there is no way this guy doesn’t like women. *lesbian headcanons*. and elliot page just slaying with the queer rep season after season. i think he/they pronouns for viktor is really good and i like it :)). also some people hc them as bi because of harold (or for weird reasons but we don’t talk about that-) but i think it’s more of a lesbian thing personally. now. don’t come after me i’m not looking for he/him lesbian discourse on my pride month fandom post. AND FURTHERMORE elliot page is a king and he doesn’t deserve in any way the crazy hate he gets for being trans. trans men are men, trans ppl are valid etc. that being said, i hc him as a he/they lesbian. RESPECTFULLY. i imagine there were a lot of complicated factors while he was coming out and realizing things about themself. i think the harold thing was wanting to be wanted and loved more that actually wanting or loving, and you know we all gotta have that spicy *heteronormativity* woohoo.
