Since we have officially entered the Aries' season I thought I should honor the fact that it's the Darkling's birthday! 🎉🎊

(No, we don't know his exact birthdate but we know he's an Aries. Anyways)

To celebrate it let's remember some facts about him.

Even though he was a Shadow Summoner, he loved bright colors. Blue, red, purple but most of all the color of sunlight.

Since we mentioned that he was a Shadow Summoner, isn't it endearing and ironic how he feared the dark when he was a child?

Once he didn't sleep for two nights because his mother had left him in a tent without a lantern.

He loved sweets! Cakes, pies etc. but his two favorites were a cake with cherries and sweet cream from Kerch and candies coated in sesame from Shu.

He had trouble mastering his powers as a child. He felt embarrassed for the fact that he couldn't make the Cut at the age of 13.

He could play the violin. 🎻

He was really intelligent from a very young age. Until the age of 13 he could speak three languages fluently and could read people and their behavior like an open book.

He was awkward and felt uneasy around children his own age since Baghra always kept them on the move and insisted not to let anyone touch him or for him to get close to someone.

He never met his father although he kept asking about him to his mother and wanted to meet him. The only thing he (possibly) ever knew was that he was a Heartrender.

He loooved nature. The trees and forests. The smell of them. Especially the evergreen trees. He even decorated his room in the Little Palace with carvings of trees.

Oh and he loves animals too! In the "Demon in the Wood" he got excited in the thought that he would see white tigers for the first time and Leigh once mentioned that he's kind to animals (we even saw that in "The Tailor" when he took time out of his duties to visit his horses, pat them and whisper to them soothingly).

And he actually saw those white tigers eventually.

Apparently he has great good looks to the point that he attracts others (and especially girls) like magnet since forever.

And his life was full of sex so he was experienced with it (Alina, your opportunity to fuck around and find out was literally right there).

The author confirmed (in 2014-2015, years before even the show came out) that he indeed harbored strong feelings for Alina and believed that they were destined for a future together (my man was ready to buy IKEA furnitures for their future house😭😭).

He had many, many half-siblings (one of them was a mermaid) and throughout the centuries he sought them out, out of a need for kinship, companionship and a desire to not be alone (🥲🔫)

This one is especially sad. He wasn't conceived out of love.

On another note though, his smell has been described as the smell of winter, forests and of the night.

In a solar eclipse his powers wouldn't be affected.

He's the Grisha with the most aliases in the Grishaverse (that's what living in a persecuted environment as a child does to you).

It's confirmed by the author that he was created after fantastical villains that she used to love, so please let that rumor that he was inspired after her abusive ex finally rest for good.

He had indeed fallen in love many times in the past but he kept witnessing the people he loved die from their mortality. At some point he just gave up on love and became more and more closed off. (Let's talk about the break he never had💀)

We might not know which person was the first he ever fell in love with, but we know which was the last one: Alina.

Do you remember those countless letters Alina was sending to Mal in "Shadow and Bone"? Well, the Darkling not only kept them secretly but read ALL off them.

He has a throat-neck fetish. And it's probably canon. The way he kissed Alina's throat every chance he got, the way he once nipped it, the collar and how he was always touching it.

According to Leigh, he didn't start wanting to be King. But this ambition came eventually after deeming it the only way to change things.

Kaz has been described as more selfish than Aleksander.

Well most of them turned out to be sad and tragic but that's because he had a tragic life and he himself was a tragic character.

👕Character whose fashion you like.

Phoar! Startrek really isn't a show I associate with being fashionable. It's very camp isn't it? In theory a lot of the wardrobe is really cool and they wanted to gain that retro-future aesthetic. Did it work? I'm not sure. However it does make a statement. The Startrek aesthetic is really recognizable and that's important! I think that's where modern trek kind of looses the plot. It's not as careful about the unique visual design as a whole anymore and as a result it doesn't settle in our minds. Is it bad artistry? No but it's not as stringent. What I mean by that is older trek cared about nuance. For example every haircut was done the same way on men, or suits were tailored in a way to look sleek but practical (they weren't). Gaudy patterns were important to denote things like status. It looks ugly on the outside but when you're watching the show it envelops you and makes you feel welcomed into the universe.

I digress.

To answer this, the most fashionable character, hands down, is Quark! That mfer always looks good, and has the finest drip in the galaxy. Love that.

🥲 ST moment that makes you cry.

There are two moments that make me particularly sad. Kate's acting in the climax of Resistance is incredible. I read somewhere she had a special-wink-wink- relationship with the Director in the early seasons and she was being tested by this episode in some regard. I think it paid off. I treasure any time her captain-hood is removed, and the extreme vulnerability of Janeway is on display-MWAH MWAH poignant. This episode is beautifully intimate, particularly this scene. It's overall gorgeous and unique in how she whispers to him, as if there is nothing more important than to secure his peace of mind as he dies, and it's heart rending when it ends with her just crouching there, emotionally alone. I love how Janeway is forced into the father-daughter dynamic between her and Caylem, one that she would ordinarily resist (heh themes) because I think it inherently weakens her status. The back and forth throughout the episode of them taking care of each other's welfare is so it's terribly sad when it's torn down and we discover the truth behind Caylem's family. If you've dug around her character you know that her Admiral-Father has had impact on her life. She's haunted by him in both a figurative way by being a Captain, and literal sense later on in Coda. Much like Caylem, she looses her father in a violent manner that she has to carry around while she forges ahead. It also reflects well on Kate's relationship with her actual father, she recently revealed that she was never able to get him on her page, but in spite that she adore him with all her might. So a scene like this is really revealing-I believe she was able to draw upon those feelings and that's kinda neat to be so raw as an actor. SIGH.

This one just straight up made me cry fr because Prodigy s1 is a really mature, well done piece of (Startrek) media. Holo Janeway has an irony about it where in the end she is program designed to be a teacher, and she didn't expect to develop a strong bond with the crew. Her final moments are of displaying a huge amount of selflessness and courage to help the kids get out of trouble, similarly to how Janeway would approach dire circumstances. The music swelling and the ship activating is just OOOOF!!! I love how it parallels Dal's initiation of the first Protojump in a Moral Star. By that means It suggests how proud she is to get to do this for them. As a character she is really interesting to think about, in a way I can't entirely articulate. A lot of her moments are quite sad in general, she has to keep an active role so she isn't ignored, and help where help is needed, but at the same time she has constraints, one being that she manipulated by the antagonists. And In contrast to that, the kids do their best to help her feel like she is important and more than a command program to be used insincerely. She grew to love the Protostar crew, that's evident in her body language in this scene. She has a lot of depth overall. Equal to the real Janeway she deeply feels love, guilt and pain, but importantly she is transformed by the her time on the Protostar and while active, learns and grows with Dal, Rok-tak, Zero, Jankom and Gwyn. It's REALLY sweet that they care all care about each other.

I love her and I love JANEWAY!!!!

🥹 Favourite behind the scenes picture.

Ooooh I love all behind the scenes stuff. My brother in Christ It's super difficult to just name one thing and I'm very greedy!! I wish we had more BTS content for Voyager but sadly, it's a matter of grab what you can, however you can. Anyway, I have an inherent interest in seeing the cogs behind the wheel. I chose these samples because I think they're charming.

The continuity polaroid's are so fun and a lost technique, I like to think about assistants having to pull the actors aside and asking them to take those. How daunting! Kate's grin in the one where she is offset is SO cute. So she must have been in a good mood, super Cheeky!

Following that is a screenshot from a video of her having her makeup done. A rare catch. I like this because she often sooks about how much time hair and makeup was spent on her to become Captain Janeway. I get it's a huge time-sink, but love or hate it, the full irony is that her early season appearance is really iconic and in it's own right adds to Captain Janeway's sensibility. Silly goose Kate! Besides that, she looks hot checking herself out, haha.

Moreover, I love on-set editorial photos of actors in costume. While we did have heaps of them in the Starfleet uniform, I wish we had a larger collection with clearer releases, it would have given an opportunity to see in things of interest better detail. Particularly the lower half of unique costumes. For whatever reason special outfits weren't often established or framed for us to see the legs in the show, so a nice big photograph would have solved that. Also I love that these style of pictures capture an impression of an episode without giving it away.

Similarly, fly on the wall on-set photos are cool. They're way more intimate and candid than anything else and it makes me feel as though I am spying on the actors, but they're also a good way to document how things might have been on set.

The Timeless one is interesting too because it's of a deleted scene, we never see Chakotay look at a dead Janeway (how deliciously macabre!), but at some point in time it was in the script and they filmed it.

Hmm this bts picture of Janeway in the Cardigan is adorable! I believe it was worn by Kate for a Charity but look how cute she looks? Makes me wish we saw her mess around with things like that more because 7 Years is a long ass time to be in uniform everyday ( coming from someone who went to school in a Uniform and enjoyed it for the most part). Casual Fridays anyone?

I love this gif. It's from the first shoots of Caretaker and Kate looks so radiant! Her smile is is breathtaking! Whenever I see this gif I get a sense of delight. Poor thing had no idea what she was getting herself into, haha. Really though, check out the original Caretaker photos, they're super-cool. The history behind it is fascinating; I'd love to see more footage from that version of the pilot episode. Unfortunately, it's probably not preserved well, much like lots of Paramount's historical material.

On a similar trend, it's fun to see this set of pictures too. It's for the First Contact film / maybe the Universal studios ride, when she reprised her role as Vice AdmiralJaneway. Kate was genuinely delighted to do this cameo and it shows. As per her operandum she put her whole self into this small segment and that's so darling. It makes me wish we had more of this Janeway at that point in time. I love post Endgame chubby-Janeway. In a fictional sense it denotes that she is comfortable or stressed to be an Admiral (sadly it's the latter in real life) or whatever and I love that for her.

These kind of pictures are fun because it's been said that at times it was the most playful set to be on. There are tales that the cast were not that serious all the time. You get that impression here, and it's probably why the majority of them are still good friends to this day. They're like a family bros!!! Having worked in media I know that wrapping up after working on something for a long time is really rewarding and I bet they had a good time at parties.

Apropos previous, the opposite can be said. While they had fun, the hours were long and the scripts intensive. Kate was around for all of the episodes of Voyager in one way or another, and still managed to bring her A-game each time. She is truly admirable! Seeing her so exhausted is charming. She had a lot of weight to carry for the franchise and did an exemplary job performing her way through 7 years of weird and wonderful material. I wonder how often they fell asleep on set? I know I would. Get some rest queen!

Finally, I've been following Prodigy bts as best I can, and because of my career in animation I get pretty interested in Production art. I love seeing the fast metamorphosis of a visual style. It's really impressive how much attention they applied to the designs, maintaining the older stuff, while adapting a new frontier. One of the lead artists made some pretty neat observations to get Kate's appearance right. It's so cool that they documented that journey, because from my dabbling I know she has a very beautiful, distinct face that isn't easy to capture.

ANYWAY Thankyou for reading my fat thesis fellas. tl;dr i love this stinky Startrek Voyager and by extension the franchise.

In 2022, when he got his rimac his videos popped off among car enthusiasts with over a million views (he was the very first! that's where the monaco based youtuber headline came from lol) and he promised a bunch of stuff he was gonna film with it, like drag racing and 0-1s accelerations but he never did. nicotube was always a passion project, he never did ads or sponsors. in 2017/2018 he was using it to find his post f1 career footing, those videos were more car porn, driving around in fancy sportscars, vlogs of boats or even f1 race vlogs and recaps, starting his own karting team (which kimi antonelli raced in!), and finally dipping his toes into sustainability with greentech festival. he started doing one hour podcast sessions with f1 and then other notable figures, which really popped off during covid. also doing f1 simulator races of every track and talking about the best ways/corners to drive and optimise the track. even tracks he never drove, like he did the sim for Miami in 2022, but not vegas. f1 is ofc his childhood love, he talks about the sport and his career fondly but even that with his sky commentary duties he only attends like 5 races, and no more race vlogs or his driver rankings of the season.

these days, his most used social media is linkedin actually. he's big on tech, startups, and specifically sustainability. esp with Rosberg Philanthropies where he's funding scholarships to phd grads in Oxford who research in sustainability and environmentally friendly tech. so making videos of ferrari car porn doesn't really align with the brand unless it's to promote electric cars.

does that mean his YouTube channel is over? no. I wouldn't be surprised if he drops another video whenever he feels like it, but the olden days of a bunch of sleekly produced videos every other week are long gone. he's moved past it and gotten into other projects he cares about and knowing the rosbergs I wouldn't be surprised if he slowly transitions into more projects where he's not the public facing front of it anymore.

I loved nicotube. i probably wouldn't be as big of a fan if I hadn't discovered it because it allowed a glimpse into nico outside of f1 driver, outside of sky sports narrative, just nico rosberg the person who is genuine in his enthusiasm of explaining how car wings work, who is cringe and funny and endearing and embarrassing. there's some absolute gems there. I'm sad there won't be more but hey, people change and people grow. 🥹 nico especially f1 fandom at large likes to box into unchanging, fixed category, like he was f1 driver til 2016, then monaco youtuber from 2017-♾️, but that's not exactly true and I'm acknowledging one of the changes.

So many weird choises with the social media plot. It didn't work for me for three reasons.

First: It's stupid

The royal court left Simon and Wille completely alone to deal with the media. The court with a massive PR-team relies on the troubled 16-year-old prince to keep his boyfriend's social media behavior in check. Okay. I guess everyone in the court were busy trying to bring some life into Ludvig while Kristina was too sad and no-one thought to give her pills before episode six 🥲 (good thing that hearing how bad parent she is cured her depression)

I read a theory that leaving Wille to handle Simon's social media was intentional on the court's part to drive a wedge between Wille and Simon. It's a good theory if you believe in the evil monarchy (I guess Lisa does). I didn't see any indication about it in the show though. In episode 3 after Simon posts the First of May photo, Farima tells Wilhelm, "Talk to him. Or we will." This makes me think that it was Wilhelm and Simon in the first place who denied the court to have any contact with Simon. That I can believe at some level.

Simon would want his autonomy, but I don't understand his naivety concerning social media, especially since he recently was a victim of a grave online violation and got unwanted attention because of it. I assumed that he was already laying low in regards to social media after the sex video.

Wille was trying to talk to Simon about not posting with sensitivity and he apologises that Simon must do accomodations because of his Crown Prince status. Why didn't Simon listen at all?

Second: It doesn't fit the narrative

I have a hard time understanding why Simon felt so erased after deleting his social media. It was never established in YR universe that social media meant so much to Simon unlike in the case of Felice, for whom it played a big part in season one. She used it to create a version of herself that she felt other people wanted to see. In YR posting on social media has often been about conveying an image: Felice at the stables despite not wanting to ride, August posing at the gym while suffering from eating disorder. It didn't fit the show's use of social media that an authentic person like Simon would feel so sad about deleting his account.

I got the impression that Simon used little social media. It was implied that it was for example his first song that he posted (he got a comment that was surprised he could sing). So social media hadn't been an outlet where he commonly shared his creativity. Simon seemed to be sorry to delete pictures of people he saw all the time anyway, family and close friends. It's not good storytelling that we didn't see any foreshadowing about Simon's feelings towards social media earlier in the show.

Third: It breaks my heart

The part that actually makes me cry is that it was established in season one that Wille and Simon truly see each other despite their differences. Wille was the first one in Hillerska to treat Simon friendly and be interested in him and it made Simon feel special and seen. In the same way Simon saw Wilhelm as a person first rather than a prince. Isn't that a big part why we fell in love with their love? Isn't Wille the person that makes Simon feel seen and not strangers in his social media? 😭

There where so many things that created or could have created drama between them; the drugs, August, Micke, their different backgrounds, homophobia, classism. I don't think that Simon posting was a needed storyline in the show.

Sorry to be a complete romantic, but the way Simon looks at Wille from season one—I thought he'd happily toss his phone to the lake to finally be with this boy.

I can't fully explain how powerful this scene is to me. One thing I love about Dimension20 is the fact that they're never afraid to roleplay the hard situations and the hard talks. It's-

I love how Tula has this hard conversation with her mom and she isn't afraid to tell her mom that she has an obsession with power and control. Ava really seems like she's at a loss for words, and it's understandable, because she's being called out on it....and it's hard. It's because Ava feels so much guilt and shame for losing Ken. The same feeling that Tula probably feels for losing Geoffrey. Ava chooses to feel guilty and tries to forget what happened... while for Tula, her losing Geoffrey is a constant reminder to her that you have to always be careful because so many bad things can happen? It's like- ugh. I don't even know if what I said is right..but that's... that's how I feel and it's so strong.

I wish I could have a talk with my IRL mom like this. In a way that she can just understand and apologize. Which, Ava didn't apologize right away, she did it later on. But I don't even think my IRL mom has apologized to me for so much. She just guilt trips me and says that she failed to raise me...or whatever. And I'm like...if I could have a talk with my mom like Tula did with Ava, and my mom actually just sat there and tried to actually understand what I was saying, I really feel like my own relationship with my mother would grow. 🥲 It's crazy how they have these types of talks in a show like this!! It's SO REAL and they're just playing a game of D&D! It's insane!!

And like- Viola standing up for Tula! Ugh! It was SO NICE! I LOVE Viola and Tula's relationship SO MUCH! How Viola sees Tula as a role model for her own self! I'm- It's so amazing! Tula and Viola are definitely my faves this season! I just can't with them! Rashawn did such a GREAT JOB with this season and I want to see her in more seasons! She gets so involved and attached and I can't even explain how much I enjoyed her in this season!! 😭✋

Also, Lila trying to comfort Ava near the end because Lila felt a little bad for her. Ava was getting cornered, but...the reason Ava gives for thinking and feeling that way...it kind of makes sense? Even though it's not the best thing to say or even think about and put onto yourself mentally. About like, when something bad happens, just finding someone to put blame on or saying that you haven't done enough or telling your own kids that when they lose someone. That's so tough. It's not right. But I can see why someone would feel that way. It's like- always wishing you could've done more. Because if you did more, then things like that "won't happen". But the truth of the matter is that sometimes things are just out of our control...and we have to have an understanding of that. Sometimes there really just isn't anything that could've been done. :/ As sad as that is...that is basically what Thorn was describing to Ava. Sometimes, life just HAPPENS! And you can't do anything but stand and watch.

I love how this season is scary but is also able to explore these super interesting family themes! I love it so much! It's so relatable in multiple ways and it's insane because these are stoats! It shouldn't be this relatable but it really is! I love watching shows that involve strong family dynamics! (One of the many reasons why I also love "The Umbrella Academy"!)

Family is strong! And it's so cool to see a family grow mentally, emotionally, and physically! My relationship with my family isn't the best. But it's cool to see the people inside of a family trying to talk things out and improve their relationships with each other so that they can finally bond and become stronger! 🥺 The messages here are so strong and powerful and I don't even know how else to say it or explain it in words! 🥺🥺🥺 This has been such a strong, and heartfelt season! 😭✋❤️

I'm laughing at how jealous and possessive Eddie is when it comes to Buck. When Buck and Taylor first start flirting Eddie cuts in without remorse or subtly, the anger at Buck making that reckless promise to Abby to get her fiance back regardless of the danger to his personal safety, his hurt at Buck already forming a team with Taylor for the treasure hunt, and then my personal favorite, his passive aggressiveness during the dinner episode.

I can't recall any other moments, but I am cackling at Eddie. At this point, he should just tattoo his name on Buck's ass and be done with it. 😂

Eddie being a possessive and jealous little shit when it comes to Buck is by far one of my favorite things about him. He literally met Buck and got to know him and within days, he was like “that tall blonde is mine”. There are so many cute and funny moments where Eddie’s jealousy really shows!!!

Eddie interrupting Taylor and Buck trying to flirt in 2.06. The way he strutted towards them with his hands on his hips & his little eyebrow raise. As if he’s looking at Buck all, “What do you think you’re doing?!” He wanted Taylor to know to back off bc that one is taken.

How about when Eddie found out Buck had slept with his therapist in 3.09 and his immediate reaction to that was jealousy. He’s all, “You slept with your therapist?!?” All eyebrow raised and annoyed bc how dare Buck sleep with anyone other than him?!? I love his sassy response so much 😂

Before we even get into the whole Abby of it all in 3.18, let’s not forget in 3.17 when they’re in the truck talking about hot air balloons. And Buck was all giving facts he knew bc of Abby and Eddie’s all “Maddie tell ya that?” With an eyebrow raise. The man knew Buck was most probably talking about Abby and Buck was so quick to change the subject after that bc he lowkey knows how Eddie can be about the Abby subject.

Then the entire Abby of it all in 3.18. That man’s jealousy was radiating off of him. Since the moment he realized who she was, he couldn’t keep it out of his eyes. My favorite part is when he spit out her name in the train and tried to get away from Buck, IN A VERTICAL TRAIN 😂

The crossover episode where Eddie was clearly jealous and bothered by Buck staring at Marjan. His entire body language was closed off with his arms folded and his little attitude when he tells Buck, “You’re staring.” Not only that but his little punch to Buck’s shoulder before he walks off was nothing other than jealousy in my opinion.

Then before he was blatantly jealous about Buck working with Taylor, let’s not forget his petty “Your girlfriend” comment he made to Buck beforehand. And then his little, yeah sure, facial expression.

Then the man used his pretty face and sad eyes to convince Buck to work with him too on the treasure hunt. My favorite was the whole “Go team” moment. He really did so much research to impress Buck with his little facts and Buck’s attention was on Taylor instead 🥲

And of course season 5 where we have the lovely dinner at the Diaz household where Eddie literally looks like he poisoned Taylor’s dinner and is waiting for her to drop dead. Meanwhile the meal he cooked his husband was being completely devoured by him. Eddie dead ass was thinking, “Why is she in my house?!?” Look at his face man that clearly shows how much he dislikes her lol.

Finally, my favorite part is in 5.14, where they’re at the equestrian place and Buck explains to Eddie how he found the place. Buck was all, “I was doing some research with Taylor.” And Eddie rolled his eyes and was all, “What kinda research 🤨?” Even though Eddie was literally the worst he’s ever been mentally, he still can’t help but be jealous at the mere mention of Taylor. His mind probably jumped to a horrible conclusion and he couldn’t hide his jealousy and disdain for that idea. Like how dare Buck mention her name while they’re having a lovely family outing?!? Oh Eddie 😂🥰🥰🥰

In conclusion, Eddie Diaz is in love with Evan Buckley and he really should just put a ring on it already 🫶🏻

Also, I love that Echo is back, but again, I AM SO SAD REX ISN’T WITH HIM! Because if Rex isn’t in this episode, then he probably won’t be in the next two either. Like I was really hoping we were past the “let Rex show up in ONE (1) arc per season, somewhere mid-season” thing. Like I was hoping we were gonna actually tie him into the story so that the torch for “clone centric animation show” could be passed to him and now I’m less optimistic.

I mean, anything can happen still but… we have two episodes left and somehow we still don’t quite know what the deal is with Omega’s blood and M-count, she still needs to escape, we still don’t know who clone X is, and we somehow need to find a conclusion for the batch AND the clone rebellion that explains their absence in future storylines without being rushed and… that’s,,,, A LOT?

In conclusion, I am very confused and scared and I’d like to go home now pls (by which I mean the batch should get to go back to Pabu with ALL THE OTHER CLONES IN TBE GALAXY and have a nice little life🥺)

So here are my thoughts about In Blossom!

This post may have some spoilers!

I finished watching it yesterday and decided to make a post about my opinions while the drama is still fresh in my mind.

So, the drama made me interested from beginning till the end and overall it's great! It's nothing really revolutionary in terms of plot/story (historical dramas tend to have some similar stories) but it delivered what was promised: mystery, romance, investigation, a bit of thriller with amazing shots and gorgeous costumes!

About the leads:

Liu Xue Yi as the male lead really raised the level of this drama. His performance was one of my favorite things while watching it and i'm so grateful to whoever casted him as the lead because he deserves it (enough with playing the bad guy who never gets his happy ending or the girl 🥲).

At first, I was a little bit concerned about watching because I wasn't a fan of Ju Jing Yi's acting from the dramas I've watched with her but after finishing this one I think she made a solid performance (it's not the best one but definitely her best one yet) and it didn't compromised the drama at all. I've seeing a bunch of not so nice comments towards her specially because people were not happy with the actress "swapping" and although I think the "original" Yang Cai Wei did a great job I'm still satisfied with how things turned out and I like both "Cai Wei".

About the main couple:

For me, it's really poetic how Pan Yue loved Cai Wei since childhood, got to reunite with her after 10 years from being apart of each other, to think he finally married her and then "she" dies on the eve of the wedding, and how he goes insane about her death that get white strokes on his hair and goes on a mission to know who is behind her murder WHILE Cai Wei it's alive by his side but with the face of someone he despises (Shangguan Zhi) and when they start to work together on the cases, they begin to be close to each other and he hates himself for developing feelings for Shangguan Zhi thinking he's betraying Cai Wei's memory. It get's even better because he's falling in love again as she's behaving like the Cai Wei he knows so he get's even more confused and watching all of this was a delight!

They had chemistry, their scenes were fun, interesting, tender and sometimes even hot so it's a win for me actually.

About the second couple (SPOILER!!!!):

Their interactions were pretty cute and they had chemistry but it's a shame what happened to them, specially with Lan Jiang (he deserved better). I always felt that they were a "doomed" couple and I'm sad that I was right about it, my heart hurts for them both as the characters themselves and the ship that didn't sail.

About the cases and the story:

Another thing i liked about this drama is how the cases were introduced, they were directly or indirectly related to the main "mystery" and every case were solved so they didn't left any loose ends. Some dramas of this genre tend to abruptly solve the cases and they end up not adding much to the narrative so I'm glad this were not the case here.

The pacing of the drama was pretty good but I do feel like the last two episodes were a bit rushed. We can't have it all, can't we?

The ending was good as expected (not for some characters I would say) but still good. SPOILER!!! I liked that the cliffhanger did not affected the characters so it could have a second season if the producers wanted but it's not necessarily needed (My Journey to You can't relate).

Overall, it was a pleasant watch so I rate 8.9 out of 10. It's not perfect but I would totally recommend!

You swear you had been staring at this paper for hours. You had a research essay due tomorrow at midnight, and you couldn’t find a way to make your paper fit the required word count. No matter how much editing you did, the word count still seemed unobtainable. You let out a shaky sigh at your desk.

Gunil was across the room, folding and putting away laundry. He heard your sigh and turned your way.

“How’s your paper going, love? Do you need help?” You slowly turn around in your chair to look at him, with your bottom lip jutting out slightly and a very prominent frown on your face. “Oh, honey,” Gunil discards the shirt he’s folding and comes to your side, gently pulling you up from your chair and into an embrace. “What’s wrong, hmm?” You felt tears well up in your eyes as you clutched onto him, one of his hands running up and down your back soothingly.

“There’s no way I’ll be able to reach the word count for this paper,” you cried softly. “I feel like no matter how much I look up, I just keep finding the same information.”

Gunil nodded attentively as he listened to you. You had been talking about this paper for a while now, and you had spent a lot of time doing the research for it.

“How many more words do you need?” He asked.

You sniffled and pulled away from him slightly, looking at your laptop screen. “About 500 more.” You let out a defeated sigh, looking up at Gunil once again. “I don’t know what I’m gonna do…”

Gunil gently took you by the shoulders and leaned down slightly to be eye level with you. “What we’re gonna do,” he started, “is get your paper done. Let’s look through your notes together and see what you have. If you need more information, I’ll help you look for some, okay?” He wiped the tears that remained on your cheeks. “You’re so smart, (Y/N). I don’t have a doubt in my mind that you’ll be able to finish this paper and get a great grade.” You smiled at his kind words and took a seat in your chair again, preparing to show Gunil your notes with a newfound ambition to get your paper done.

kim jungsu

You hated group projects more than anything, so when you found out that your biggest grade for the semester would be a group project, you were anything but thrilled. Your group had decided to do their work for the day over video call, so you could all work from home. That was fine, until it turned into a little over an hour of you being the only one contributing ideas, and your other three group members goofing off or having WiFi issues. You closed your laptop and let out a huff, making your way out to the kitchen for a glass of water.

“Hey,” Jungsu greeted as you walked past the couch, where he was currently doing some work of his own. “How was your meeting?” Instead of the response he was expecting, Jungsu was met with a loud, frustrated groan from the kitchen. He stood from the couch and made his way to you. “That bad, huh?”

“Our project is due in two weeks!” You began as you rooted through your cabinets for a glass. “We should at least know what we want to do our project on- but no! Nobody is coming up with ideas but me, and then nobody likes the ideas I come up with!” You filled your glass with water and then quickly began to drink it in an attempt to cool yourself off. Once you finished, you took a deep breath. “I just… need to take a break and think about something else for a bit.”

Jungsu smiled at you, “I know just the thing.” He grabbed you by your hand and pulled you back to the couch, pushing you into the soft cushions and laying on top of you. “Think about me instead,” he giggled, taking one of your hands and putting it on his head as an incentive to play with his hair. You laughed back and did what he pleased, running your fingers through his soft locks. As you cuddled with him, you could practically feel your stress melt away.

kwak jiseok

Jiseok was woken from his long awaited post-class dorm nap by a string of texts from you.

Jiseok

baby

when you have time can you please come to the library?

I feel like I’m going insane

He laughed to himself, giving you a quick reply that he’d be there soon. Eventually, Jiseok made his way into the library and found you in a study room, silently seething over a pile of papers.

“I’m here,” he called quietly into the room, shutting the door behind him. “What’s wrong?”

“I cannot get the answer to this chem problem right!” You ran your hands over your face. “I’ve attempted this problem three times and I don’t know where I went wrong in the process.” You turned to Jiseok with big puppy eyes, “Can you help me please?”

He chuckled at your attempt to beg him, knowing that he would’ve said yes without it. “Of course, baby.” He took a seat next to you at the table and looked over your papers. “I told you not to take this chem elective.”

“I know,” you admitted. “But at least I have my super sexy science boyfriend to help me,” your teasing tone made Jiseok laugh, pulling you in and planting a kiss on your cheek.

“Keep talking like that, and I might just do the whole problem set for you.”

oh seungmin

“I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong,” you turned to Seungmin with tears in your eyes, showing him your newest grade in your writing class. “I followed the professor’s directions to a T and they still gave me a 60%. What did I do?” Seungmin pulled you into a tight hug, resting his head on top of yours.

“It’s okay, baby. Maybe you can talk to your professor about it.”

“Seungmin, if they don’t fix this grade, I’m gonna fail the class,” you spoke into his chest. “This paper was a huge percentage of my final score.”

You would hear Seungmin let out a small “hmm” as he thought about how to help you. You had made him read over your paper at least twice, checking it with the rubric to make sure it was perfect.

“What if,” he thought aloud. “We sit down and send your professor an email, asking them to look over it again or at least explain where you went wrong. That way, it’ll at least show that you care about your grade and passing the class.” You looked up at him with teary eyes, and he looked down at you, shrugging. “Just a thought.”

You took a deep breath and nodded, seeming like your only options now were to send this email, talk to your professor in person, or do nothing at all. “Okay,” you let go of his embrace, grabbing your laptop. “It’s worth a shot.”

He pulled away from you and gave you a kiss on the cheek. “That’s the spirit, baby.”

han hyeongjun

When Hyeongjun came home from practice to find you crying at your desk, he wasn’t really sure what to do.

“(Y/N)?” He came up to you at your desk, putting a soothing hand on your shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing-“ you said, quickly wiping your tears. “I’ve got it covered. Don’t worry.”

“Are you sure?” He asks quietly. “I can help. Talk to me.”

You let out a sigh, “My workload for the end of this semester is crazy. I’ve been working for hours and I feel so burnt out, but I gotta get this assignment done.” You picked up your pencil again. “I’ll be fine, really. I just gotta tough it out.” As you began to work again, Hyeongjun looked at you with a frown.

“How long have you been working today?”

“I started around lunchtime.”

Hyeongjun looked out a nearby window. It was now dark outside. “Have you eaten dinner yet?” You shook your head. “Then let’s go eat.”

“I’m not hungry.”

“Too bad.” Hyeongjun started walking away from you towards the kitchen. “You need to let yourself take breaks. Give me 20 minutes to make something quickly and then you can stop working for a while.”

You turned and looked at Hyeongjun, almost a little surprised. He was typically more gentle when it came to telling you to take care of yourself. He must’ve been able to see how stressed you were. He’s living proof that actions can speak louder than words.

You gave him a smile. “Thank you.”

“You’d do the same for me,” he smiled back.

lee jooyeon

The groan that echoed through your tiny dorm room probably could’ve been heard through your neighbors wall. You promptly closed your books and started putting your notes away. Across the small room, Jooyeon lifted his head off of your pillow.

“How’s the work going?”

You groaned again.

“Glad to hear it’s going well,” he joked.

“I don’t get it,” you complained. “What professor assigns a five page paper the week before finals start?”

“I don’t know, honey.”

“It’s not like I’m stressed enough as it is!” You took a deep breath, and Jooyeon sat up on your bed, patting the space next to him on the mattress. You took the hint and sat next to him.

“It’s gonna be alright,” Jooyeon soothed, wrapping his arms around you. “You’re very smart, (Y/N). I don’t have a doubt in my mind that you’ll get this paper done.”

“I know,” you spoke, feeling a bit more calm now. “It’s just really stressing me out.”

Jooyeon nodded understandingly and started to gently rock you both back and forth. A silence fell over the two of you, and Jooyeon started to hum.

“I should be working,” you admitted, trying to break from his grasp.

“But I’ve been laying over here all alone for hooours,” Jooyeon whined. “Can’t you stay and cuddle for a little bit?”

“Jooyeon, I really need to get back to work.”

“Pleeeeease?”

“Jooyeon, I’d love to but I can’t.”

He thought about it for a moment. “When you finish your first page, let me know. We can take a break then. As a reward for all your hard work,” he smiled brightly at you, and you couldn’t help but to laugh.

“Okay,” you gave in. “We can do that.”

“Good! Now get to work! I wanna see that first page done asap!”

my thoughts on ghosts finale

I just think how beautiful that ending of ghosts was. i've calmed down (if i think about it im in tears so maybe i haven't calmed down yet) but... I get it. eventually in life you just have to let go of your family to make a new one. And with Alison's struggles by keeping up with the ghosts and trying to be with her family, she just had to.

It was literally the ghost's decision too. And like, how their intention for Alison to leave changed too. In the first season, they wanted to chase her away because they didn't want the change of the house and they kept to themselves. By the end of season 5 they just accepted it. They've all changed in a way as individuals and they all ended up as Alison's family and wanted what was best for her. What was best for her was to leave to start a family of her own because everyone will have to move on eventually.

And it is implied that every christmas, Alison comes back to Button House and reunite with the ghosts like a big christmas family reunion 🥲🥲

Can I even talk about the Captain?! His whole demeanour around Alison changed too. In the first season he was all rigid and stiff and as the seasons progress he began to relax and the stiffness and rigidness was leaving. When we see him wave, he doesn't tuck the swagger stick under his arm, but he holds it like a hand. When he walks it's like a stroll and not a march, when he waves it isn't like a salute but a real actual wave. This man has softened at his core.

Yo, i'm crying again as i write this because oh my god that finale was just something. it even made my dad sad 😭

EDIT: Can i also say, the exorcism thing was the funniest thing i've ever seen because it would be the exact thing my mom would do too . idc if ppl say it felt out of place, i think it was perfect 😭

Summary: You and Eddie get married after he finally graduates high school.

Warnings: Some crying and cursing, minor season 4 spoilers, brief mentions of Eddie being in the hospital

You and Eddie were both sure of the fact that you wanted a small wedding. The two of you settled on this the day he had been released from the hospital after being attacked by those demobats.

Currently, you were sitting in front of the vanity you had in your room. You were finishing up your makeup, a soft smile on your face as you continued to get ready.

You were more than happy to get to spend the rest of your life with Eddie, especially after everything that happened in the upside down this year. You had been so afraid that you would loose him, but he continued to fight, for you, for Dustin, for everyone.

And all he wanted was to make sure that he spent every single day by your side and not dead in some freaky dimension.

He had managed to cheat death and actually graduate your high school. You were incredibly proud of him, but he was tired of hearing you say that, his cheeks blushing bright red every time you brought it up.

And luckily for him, Nancy was able to pull some strings with local government, clearing his name and getting them to drop all charges.

You looked down at your engagement ring one more time then got up, straightening out your dress as you stood up. You then headed out of your bedroom and down the main stairs of your house, where your father was waiting for you.

“Ready?” your father asked with a smile as he held out as his arm to you.

You linked your arm around his, “Of course.” you said with a smile.

Neither you nor Eddie wanted an entirely traditional wedding, so you didn’t carry a bouquet and the ceremony would be performed by one of your fathers long time friends who had recently become a priest. And you were having Dustin, Eddie’s best man, give you your rings.

Your father then lead you to the backyard then down the isle Eleven and Max had created last minute. Eddie was wearing a tux, something you never thought you’d see him wear. He looked so handsome and you couldn’t wait until the ceremony was over so that you could kiss him again.

The second Eddie saw you start to walk down the isle, his eyes began to tear up. You looked absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. He had no idea if he would be able to muster up the courage to actually speak at all once you reached him.

But, he would try his best, for you.

You smiled at him as he took your hands in his, “You look really handsome.” you whispered to him as goosebumps started to appear on your arms.

Neither of you could believe that this was actually happening or that any of this was real.

He blushed, “You look so beautiful, sweetheart.” he said, grinning at you and making you blush.

Your fathers friend then started the ceremony and while he spoke, your eyes never Eddie’s and his eyes never left yours.

And before you knew it, it was time for you two to read your vows. You had decided that Eddie would go first since he was a bit better at public speaking.

He still keeps one of your hands in his as he speaks, “(y/n), you are half of my soul. You could take away all of my senses and I’d still be able to find you,” he starts, taking a deep breath in an attempt to keep his tears at bay, “You’ve been by my side through it all and I truly can’t thank you enough for that.” he told you.

You could tell that he was incredibly nervous so you rubbed your thumb against the back of his hand to comfort him.

He smiled at you briefly then continued on with his vows, “I love you more than anyone I’ve loved before and I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving you, even in death,” hearing him say that made you burst into tears as you had almost lost him two months ago, “I don’t want to start crying more than I already am, so I’ll just say a couple more things. I love so fucking much and I’m glad that I’ll get to have you by my side for the rest of our lives.” he said, finishing his vows.

“Fuck.” you muttered to yourself, feeling a bit embarrassed that you were crying in front of so many people, the curse word you had said making everyone chuckle.

Eddie softly wiped your tears away for you and wordlessly encouraged you to start reading your own vows.

You took a deep breath then started to talk, “I’m not the best a public speaking so I’ll make this short. Eddie, you are my favorite person in the whole world and I adore so many things about you. I adore how you are always able to make me laugh. I adore how you always know how to comfort me. But most of all, I adore you. You are more then I could ever want in a friend and in a lover. I love you more then words could ever explain, I promise.” you told him, your eyes rarely leaving his own.

And although your vows were short, they still made Eddie sob. He cried every time you reminded him of how much he meant to you. You wiped his tears away for him and then sent a comforting smile his way.

“(y/n) (y/l/n), Do you take Edward Munson to be your husband?” the priest asked as he gestured towards your soon to be husband.

“I do.” you said confidently, a bright smile on your face.

“And Edward Munson, do you take (y/n) (y/l/n) to be your wife?” the priest asked, now gesturing towards you.

“I do!” Eddie basically screamed, causing everyone to laugh again.

Dustin then stepped out from his spot next to Eddie and handed your ring to Eddie. His hands shook as he took the ring from his young friend and slipped it onto your ring finger.

And once your ring was on, Dustin handed you Eddie’s ring. You grinned at him again as you slipped the ring onto his own finger, a look of true love in your eyes.

The moment the rings hit your skin, you couldn’t help but look down at them. They were simple silver bands that had each other’s initials engraved in them.

“By the power vested in me and the state of Indiana, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride!” The priest happily said as he began to clap.

Eddie effortlessly slid his arm under your back and dipped the two of you down as he kissed you. You couldn’t stop yourself from smiling as you kissed him back, you were just so happy.

“I love you.” you whispered to him before pressing another kiss to his soft lips, he smelled like some fancy cologne you knew Steve had probably given him, the thought of this making you smile once more.

“And I love you, Mrs. Munson.” he murmured against your lips, causing your skin to heat up.

And once the two of you had pulled away from each other’s lips one last time, Eddie scooped you off of your feet and began to run to where the kids had set up the party.

On the way there, you smiled and softly chuckled as you stared up at your husband. And to you, your future was looking pretty fucking good.
