i make him evil. ok jk but also im serious. im mostly just gonna cover his backstory in my au, rather than his current part in it.

cw for brief mentions of animal abuse, bullying, the usual. AGAIN THIS IS FOR MY AU !! also tysm :3..

liu is about 4-6 years older than jeff. they lived somewhere in the midwest until jeff was about 10.

they were both raised by incredibly good parents and had a very strong support system, always visiting their grandparents, big christmas every year, parents always go to open house/parent-teacher conferences, etc. tried getting their kids into sports, would go to every game, literally just the stereotypical great parent. not even a secret "ooo behind closed doors they r actually abusive...!" thing theyre literally just good.

jeff was always a bit more on the aggressive side, something they especially noticed when he was 5 and could not be left alone with a single fucking pet. he'd yank at and shake anything small enough to pick up, and punch and kick anything too big to pick up. every family pet was scared of him.

even at school, he was a bully - it started as typical grade school shit, putting gum in girls hairs, stealing peoples belongings, pushing kids off the play structures. he targeted girls especially. he's been warned, suspended, expelled - but his dad got a job offer in the east coast that they couldnt really ignore

he was 12 when he started harassing a girl, following her around the playground, calling her a slut, yanking her hair, spitting on her, etc - and eventually, her brother and his friends stepped in.

thiiis is where i wanted to put randy and his friends in. theyre older kids, around 14 and still more on the mean side, but they didn't just randomly target jeff for fun bc he's "the new kid". just like jeff harassed that girl, they began harassing him - but of course with the strength of 3 teenage boys, rather than an 12 yr old. liu would interfere when he could, but he was still a student and began working his first job by this point.

jeff got into physical fights with them for weeks, but he was quick to turn it into something bloody and brought a pocket knife. this time the fight occurred in front of jeffs house, when his parents were at work, and liu ended up running out to make them cut it out. he tried to grab the knife out of jeffs hands, he tried to stop his brother, but jeff was serious about what he wanted - and he wanted to fucking stab randy

so he did, right in the stomach. it was nothing fatal.

liu took the fall, being 16 and terrified of what could happen to jeff if he landed himself in juvenile hall - the other 3 boys were content with this, knowing it meant jeff really didn't have anyone to defend him by this point. thinking it would fuck with jeff even more . . BUT JEFFS A LITTLE SHIT he doesnt fucking careee . something about "i never asked him to take the blame that shits on him" or whatnot.

but obv once randy recovered fully it got worse. it went from schoolyard level harassment to borderline stalking, robbing him, holding him down so randy could fucking stomp on him, so on and so forth.

and eventually the bleach happened, and the fire happened, and it didn't really have anything special or involve a birthday party or whatever . it was just another insane fucking attack on jeff, although randy and them didn't exactly expect the fire to spread so fucking quickly - they just splashed some gas at his feet, threw a match, though it would scare him and maybe fuck up his pants. really did NOT think that shit through

jeff recovered in the hospital, and the trio decided to leave him alone. they were little shits who took it too far, but they werent trying to do all that. jeff didnt snitch, he didnt want them to get put away . he wanted to keep going, obviously

things settled down for a while. jeff was waiting and waiting and waiting. his parents were mortified, they rarely spoke to him now. required family dinners at the dining table turned to just his parents eating together, liu in juvie and jeff in his room. jeff began getting violent towards his parents as well, especially his mom - he started spiraling after the fire, especially since the trio weren't bothering him anymore and it was driving him nuts. he would do freaky shit, showing up at their houses now, shattering their windows, killing their pets. they'd come and beat his ass, and he'd do it again. nobody wanted to get their parents involved by this point, they all did too much shit - but jeff was getting UNBEARABLE

jeff eventually was around 15 or so, liu was out of juvie and 19 and in community college bc he couldnt get into any of the universities he was dreaming about.

liu wasnt nice to jeff anymore. he wasn't "hardened" by his experience in juvie or anything, but whatever he saw in jeff was NOT his little brother anymore - if jeff spoke to him, he'd ignore him. if jeff got too close, he'd shove him off. if jeff slapped their mother, liu would punch him.

liu thinks it was bound to happen. he misses his little brother, even when he was a mean little kid - but he always knew there was something realy, really fucking wrong with jeff, and when he woke up to jeff on top of him, stabbing into him , he knew it was inevitable.

liu survived, the only one in his family to do so. he wondered what he could've done to stop it, especially as other kids began showing up in the news. he wonders if he shouldve just let jeff go to juvie. he's kinda shocked at the fucked up ass police sketches that pop up, he didn't really remember seeing that damn smile when jeff was on him

jeff continues fucking shit up and is a piece of shit all around

In this world there is love, and life and joy. Almost every person has a chance at these things through their soulmate. Someone chose by fate itself to help you have a good life. While not all soulmates are romantic some are, and that soulmate will be with you (hopefully) for the rest of your life.

There are of course cynics who believe soulmates are a myth, those people usually lose their chance. Chance at happiness because they turn away one of the people chosen to help them have it. And some... some choose to defy fate and choose to find others to love, others to create joy with.

And fate... fate does not like to be ignored, so it caused... some backlash in response. Which is unfortunately how you came to be.

You parents were soulmates, but they didn't want anything to do with each other. Of course, fate had its way, and you were born. Born in a home where love and hate ran so closely, they intermingled.

It was one of the reasons why when you realized who your soulmate was you didn't say a word. You in fact began avoiding them all together. But your heart- your soul longed for them. And so you were stuck in conflict. Conflict with your soul and reason.

Which was why you were sitting in the library, in the very back corner. Watching, despite the voice of reason screaming in your head, Damian fucking Wayne, talk with his friends.

Looking up from your book you sighed, he- he was annoying and rude and and and loved animals and was an accomplished artist. So much that he began teaching children with special needs how to draw.

While you may have heard it was a punishment from his father, your soul still ached for him. Letting out a groan you slammed your head against the table. Why was fate such a cruel bitch? Why could fate just once give you a fucking break?

Footsteps caused you to freeze and you looked up to see a red haired boy standing in front of your table. He smiled and waved and you gave him a weak smile.

"Hi, I'm Colin and me and my friends were wondering if you wanted to join us."

He pointed to a table- the table behind him and you winced. Looking up you saw the small smile on his face and your conscious screamed.

"Uh, are you sure? You guys don't even know me."

Colin raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Uh, you've been in our classes since we started school here. And- Dam-" Colin paused before shrugged, "we can get to know each other better. I mean we've been in the same grade for years."

Before you could reply, a dark-haired boy, who you recognized as Jon Kent, bounded over towards you and Colin. He threw an arm over Jon's shoulders and smiled.

"Hi, Y/N. Are you going to join us? You're going to join us, right?"

His glasses slipped to the edge of his nose, and you winced. You were? Oh no you were.

"Uh, Okay." You remarked, "I mean I guess."

"Awesome!" Jon said.

He then leaned down and scooped your things into his arms. Turning towards his table he bumped Colin.

"Get the rest of her stuff."

Colin looked to you and you quickly grabbed onto your bag and stood up. Before you could even blink, Colin leaned forwards and grabbed your book.

Then he turned and followed after Jon. Cursing internally you followed him. They both sank down onto their seats and left one for you directly across from Damian. You watched as he flipped the page and Colin and Jon set your stuff on the table.

Damn it.

Reluctantly you sat down and winced. Damian looked up and you noticed a cut on his face and his eyes looked strange. Was it a black eye?

Your heart stopped and the words slipped from you before you could stop yourself.

"What happened?"

"It's not important, why do you care?" Damian remarked looking back at his notebook.

Why do you care? why do you care

Because you wanted to shout If anything happened to you, it would utterly ruin me.

Instead, you shrugged. "You just looked a little banged up. Sorry for being curious."

He paused for a moment before looking up at you eyes narrowed.

"Do you know who I am?" he asked.

You nodded and answered the right answer instead of the one your soul begged you to say, "You're Damian Wayne."

But, you thought, you have no idea who I am, do you?

Damian blinked a few times his body tensing. And he shook his head.

"That's not what I meant."

You froze, swallowing you forced a smile onto your face. Reaching out you grabbed your book and pulled it towards you. Don't think about it don't think about it don't think about it.

He tilted his head and watched as you brought your book closer. Smiling weakly, you pulled it towards your face.

"You- You have no idea do you. Who I am?" He muttered

Soul crying and reason cheering you blinked. You were always terrible at lying. Maybe- maybe he meant something else? No, no you couldn't even convince yourself.

Shrugging you pressed your face into your book. Why did you agree, why did you do this to yourself?

because now he's close and near and hearing his voice made your heartbeat faster and and-

no- no. No nonononononono. stop that right now. No. No. nuh-uh no way you weren't- you weren't going to let your soul and- that raging bitch or dick or whatever it was fate control you.

Taking in a breath you went to read you book when it was pulled away from you and you met Damian's eyes.

"I'm your soul mate."

"Fucking shit."

Cas babe, I'm royally fucked. The drama that is surrounding me rn is so fucking unreal.

So let me start from the very beginning, so I m a 16 yr old girl and i hv this really close guy friend let's call him J, so J and I have been friends since forever, like I don't even remember when I first met him. I have known him since I was born , like I have never known a life without J. And i love him like a brother.

Ok so fast forward a few years and now we're both 16, and we met this girl, Lottie she was a transfer student and we ( J , Lottie and I) had a few classes together. And slowly we develop a friendship.

Now the thing is that J has a crush on Lottie and he told me as soon as he realised it and me being the great friend that I am have subtly been wingwomaning him .

So, last week after English class (only Lottie and I have this class) , Lottie asked me out. Yeah, and I'm straight af but I'm an ally. So I was like what? But she was like i thought u were queer coz u give very strong queer vibes which is kinda true because I have a MAJOR crush on lily Rose depp and i hv always said that she could run me over with her car and I'd thank her and beg her to fuck me, (yeah I have issues.) And I also have bi friend who i jokingly call my wife bcoz when she came out ppl were being very homophobic and i thought that was the only way to support her. (i was 14 ok i don't judge me)

So back to Lottie I wa obviously s so very awkward I was like ohhh. And i told her in the politest way i could manage that I m straight af (bcoz i am) and I'm kinda flustered that she has a crush on me bcoz she is really pretty. And she got very embarassed and started apologising and I was like no no it's fine , it's totally fine. Yeah but she also kinda requested me not to tell anyone else that she's a lesbian bcoz she's not out to everyone, and I was like Of course .And now she has been trying to avoid me for the few days which anyone in her position would do tbh, so I don't blame her for that.

Ok so now bcoz Lottie is avoiding me she's also avoiding J by extension coz we both r usually hanging out together. So i already told u that J has a crush on Lottie so he was obviously not happy that she was avoiding us and i couldn't tell him why bcoz OBVIOUSLY.

And a little note abt my best friend he is extremely fucking extra , he is the biggest drama queen in the world like Sirius Black level of drama. So now his dumbass decided that he will ask Lottie out, and bcoz he is so fucking extra abt everything he is thinking of using the help of his teammates ( he's on the football team) to ask her out after the football match next Friday.

And in trying to convince him that he should not do it, but when he asks why i don't have any solid reason because it's not my place to tell him abt Lottie. So he's really planning everything to make the proposal perfect, and I'm stressing tf out.

I love J and i don't want to see him get hurt bcoz obviously Lottie is gonna say no, and on top of that it would be kinda humiliating bcoz the entire school and another school would be there. And I'm also worried that Lottie will think that I did this in purpose to embarrass her so now I'm stuck in a huge fucking dilemma.

And ngl I find this situation extremely fucking hilarious BCOZ WHAT IN THE WATTPAD LEVEL OF SHIT IS THIS? IS THIS SITUATION EVEN REAL? LIKE DOES THIS KINDA SHIT EVEN HAPPEN IRL???

pls help me bcoz I don't know what tf I'm going to do and i hv to do something before Friday or 😭😭😭.

So first, I want to say I think you were really sweet with Lottie. It sounds like you're a super kind person, and a wonderful ally <3

Honestly, I would probably talk to Lottie (if possible) and tell her that J is about to ask her out in front of the entire school, and ask her if it's okay for you to tell him that she's simply not interested. The reason I think this is the best option is because, either way Lottie will find out about J's feelings, so you can't really prevent that. This way, you're preventing embarrassment for both Lottie and J. Also, you're possibly protecting Lottie from attention by telling J you just "heard Lottie is not interested" because that doesn't out Lottie. AND even if J doesn't listen to you, you've helped by both preparing Lottie for what will happen and by sort of...introducing J to the idea that she's not interested.

So yeah. I think this is your best bet.

Keep me updated, I'm dying to know what happens!

They’re about 14 yrs old in this (again lol) ………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..……….. Now that Nikolai was in Fyodor’s life, things had changed. He started walking home with him everyday after school, occasionally diverting from his usual path to cater to Nikolais excitable personality whenever he saw something that interested him. It was different, but he really didn’t mind it.

Today, his parents wouldn’t be home for a while, so when Nikolai insisted that Fyodor hung out with him after school, he accepted. He was lacing up his boots and getting ready to leave school as Nikolai told him about something funny that happened today, until he suddenly diverted from his train of thought, which wasn’t unusual for the eccentric boy.

“Oh by the way Dos-kun, I have the perfect idea of where we’re gonna go today.” He says smiling.

Fyodor nods and stands up. “And where would that be?”

“It’s a surprise~” he says, giggling mischievously.

Fyodor never admitted it to anyone, including himself, but Nikolai’s giggles never failed to stir something in Fyodor’s chest.

He laughs slightly. “Alright then, let’s go.”

Nikolai jumped up happily, taking Fyodor by the hand and walking with him.

The town they lived in was fairly small, with thick woods surrounding it. Fyodor never really explored the area, more staying at his usual destinations; school, home, church, and occasionally the store to get groceries for his mother. So he had little experience with the rest of his home town.

But Nikolai on the other hand, was most definitely what many would describe as a “free spirit”. Fyodor didn’t know much about the boy, but he could tell by the way Nikolai walked, that he had more experience with the town than Fyodor.

After a while of walking, they make it to the edge of the town, where roads turn to dirt paths and houses turn to trees. Nikolai kept walking, obviously with a destination in mind. Fyodor tries guessing in his mind where they’re going, until a small, abandoned church comes into view.

“We’re here~!” Nikolai chippers, skipping up to the church door and spreading his arms. “Ta-da!”

“Nikolai, what is this?” Fyodor asks, walking up to the doors. The church was old and broken down. Its wooden walls were splintered and what used to be white paint, was now a yellowish shade of brown, chipping off the wall. The roof came up to a flat point, with a bell tower at the top, the heavy doors an old crimson color with big rusted handles.

“It’s an abandoned church, and the place I hide away in.” He says, looking up at the church. Suddenly grabbing Fyodor’s hand, he pulls him inside. “Come on Dos-kun! I’ll show you around.”

The door opens with a deep, deflated creak and the floorboards respond with higher pitched creaks as they walk inside. Rows of pews lead up to the pulpit, in front of a big window where gentle light streams from, illuminating the dusty interior. A long Gallery stretches along the walls, overlooking the main part of the church.

It was beautiful, with its wise-worn feeling.

“This is the main part. I usually stay here because I like the window, but there’s the back part of the church as well.” Nikolai explains, running through the isles and jumping onto the altar, turning to Fyodor and clearing his throat.

“We are gathered here today to welcome a new member of our congregation, Fyodor Dostoevsky.” Nikolai says, doing his best impression of an old priest, then flashing Fyodor a smile.

He really shouldn’t laugh, but he can’t help it. Fyodor lets out a small chuckle as he looks from Nikolai to the church. It was beautiful despite its cobwebs.

“How did you find this place?” Fyodor asks, as he walks through the church, running his hands along the walls.

“I was bored one day, so I went for a walk in the forest and found it.” He answers, shrugging and sitting down on one of the pews.

“Well, it’s very nice.” He hesitates at his next words. “Why did you bring me here?”

Nikolai laughs slightly. “Because you’re my friend Dos-kun, and this is my hideout. If I’m going to hide, I want to hide with you.. like a clubhouse!”

Fyodor smiles at Nikolai. “Well, I’m glad you brought me here.”

Nikolai smiles happily and jumps off the seat, walking over to Fyodor. “Let me show you my things.” He says, bringing Fyodor to a spot on the altar where there are several trinkets and small items he has collected.

“This is a soda cap I found, I like the color.” Nikolai says, handing Fyodor the bottle cap before picking up another item.

“And this is a string of a guitar, if you hold it like this.. you can make sounds with it.” He continues, holding the string under his foot and the other end in his hand, strumming it lightly with the other, smiling at Fyodor. He hands the string to Fyodor then picks up the next item.

Fyodor watches as Nikolai shows him all his trinkets. He didn’t have much, and seemed so happy over the little things he found, and seemed even happier to be telling Fyodor about them.

After telling Fyodor about the last item Nikolai suddenly gets a brighter smile on his face.

“Wait, I want to show you something.” He says, standing up.

“I should be getting home now, Nikolai.” Fyodor says, carefully setting Nikolais' trinkets back in their place.

“Just let me show you this, really quick, please?” He asks, smiling at Fyodor with excitement.

Fyodor could never bring himself to break that smile. “Very well, but make it quick Nikolai.”

Nikolai’s smile brightens and he takes Fyodor’s hand, dragging him into the back of the church. He leads Fyodor all the way up to the roof, laying down on it and looking up, patting the spot next to him. Fyodor chuckles slightly and lays down next to Nikolai, looking up at the bright night sky.

It was as breathtakingly beautiful as the old church. Sure, he had seen it a thousand times before. But something was different this time, the stars seemed to shine brighter, bringing Fyodor a sense of peace.

Perhaps it was because of his companion?

He steals a glance at Nikolai, seeing the young man looking up at the stars with a soft, melancholy, smile.

That look… that look of far off sorrow, it was like he was seeing another side of the usually eccentric jester. It made his heart thump in his chest, and his stomach grow warm. He felt his whole being gravitating towards Nikolai, his hand pleading to hold the other boys. He slowly slides his hand over, reaching for Nikolais warm fingers, but he moves.

Nikolai raises his hand and points at the sky. “Dos-kun, Look!” He cheers happily. “It’s the Little Dipper.”

Fyodor tears his eyes away from Nikolais face, to look at the stars that now dim in comparison to his friend.

“I wonder how well the birds see those stars…” Nikolai remarks quietly, resting his hands on his chest.

“Birds?” Fyodor asks.

“Mhm, birds. They’re so close to the sky, so free.” Nikolai says, his sorrow dripping into his voice.

Fyodor suddenly understood. Freedom, that is what Nikolai’s heart desired. That is where his sorrow lies.

He goes silent, looking back to the sky.

“I’m sorry, you should go now, shouldn’t you?” Nikolai says with a light laugh, looking over at Fyodor. As his eyes meet the young Russians, they both go silent for a moment.

“No, I can stay for a while longer.” Fyodor says simply, his voice and face masking the millions of emotions in his mind.

“I’m glad. You’re my most intimate friend, Dos-kun.” Nikolai says with a smile, looking back to the sky.

The two young boys enjoy the silence of each other's company, quietly wishing the night to never end. ………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..………..

If you replace a poc with someone else, lets say another minority, and it is obvious that they r a minority, like they r wearing pride flag stuff, they're wearing a hijab, etc. and something vague that someone says about that person, like. idk. about them not being the kinda person you should hang around with. and you would call that person homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, etc. for saying that about the person? It isn't bigotry. If the statement could be applied to anyone. Then it isn't bigotry.

Yes this is about Billy Hargrove. Also YOU GUYS HAVE NO CLUE WHAT CONTEXT MEANS AND IT SHOWS. Max literally yelled at Lucas IN FRONT OF BILLY. HE WAS LIKE 20 FEET AWAY WATCHING AND LISTENING TO THE FIGHT. She yelled at him that he makes her feel like shit/that he treats her like shit. And whether u wanna admit it or not, Billy does care about Max. And even if he didn't, he is forced to take care of her. He has to be the parent. SO WHY THE HELL. After hearing that this random boy he's never met, treats his little sister who he cares about and is forced to be responsible for, like shit. Would he NOT tell her that there are some people you shouldn't be around. And that that boy is one of them. And in the Byer house where he sees her with Lucas again, AFTER HE WAS JUST ABUSED BECAUSE SHE RAN AWAY, of fucking course he's gonna target Lucas and not one of the other boys. He hasn't seen them with Max, he has no reason to thing of them as being bad influences or harmful.

And fuck no it doesn't excuse his actions or make them okay. He still attacked a 13/14 (don't remember their exact age) yr old. But nothing about his words or actions are explicitly, outwardly, whatever word u wanna use, racist. And even if he is racist (which by the way, every yt person, especially/specifically in America has institutionalized racism at the very least which takes a long time, and lots of education to break down, which isn't gonna fucking happen when u live in an abusive household where you have other things you have to focus on so you and ur kid sister don't fucking die, especially in the 80's), Max never fucking says anything about it. Even if what he said or did was racist, Max never said or did anything. Obviously I could understand her not saying anything to Billy because she might think he'd get angry. But she never goes to Lucas trying to comfort him, apologize for Billy's behavior, anything.

While I'm on the topic I might as well bring up the fact that NO ONE IN THE SHOW. EVER FUCKING TREATS LUCAS WITH RESPECT OR UNDERSTANDING IN RELATION TO HIS STRUGGLES WITH BEING A BLACK TEENAGER IN THE 80'S. In season 1, he gets SO MUCH shit from the fandom for not trusting Jane/El. A random girl who showed up out of no where, who, through no fault of her own, brings a bunch of dangerous ppl coming after the group. And basically no one gives Mike any shit for doing the same thing to Max in season 2. In season 4 when he is trying to fit in, to not be seen as a weirdo, outcast, freak, etc. So fucking many people treated him like he's an asshole for that. He is a black 15 yr old boy in the fucking 80's. In a town that is predominantly white. Where all of his friends are white. Most of the people at his school, are white. Of fucking course he's gonna do whatever he can to "fit in" and stay with the popular crowd. Not doing that would put even more of a target on his back. I'm so happy they put in that brief moment at Benny's where the only other black person on the team and at the house comes over to tell him it will be okay after the police show up. That he's not gonna be in trouble. Despite a good portion of the fandom being really diverse, be it queer, poc, etc. so many of y'all put the cishet yt characters on a pedestal and either ignore or straight up shit on the few queer characters & poc characters.

Jason Todd YJ headcanons to go along with this.

2013 - 13 year old Jason tries to steal the wheels off the Batmobile and gets put into Ma Gunn’s School for Boys because of it. Jason finds out the school is a front for training child soldiers and tries to reach out to Batman. Batman initially doesn’t believe him, so Jason tries to take down the school himself while earning a lot of enemies in the process. Batman and Robin eventually do clue in to what is happening and step in to help. Mobster catch on to a connection between Jason and Batman, so 15 yr old Dick lets Jason wear the Robin suit and becomes the “new” vigilante Nightwing to distract the Mobsters. Bruce decides to take Jason in and the sudden mantle swap becomes the new status quo.

Jason absorbs Robin training like a sponge and is quickly allowed to join The Team

Dick and Jason quickly become brothers and it shows. They can be squabbling all day but maintain perfect teamwork in the field.

Wonder Woman is Jason’s favorite hero and that hero worship end up extending to Donna. He often tries to mimic her during training which she finds endearing. He’s quickly claimed as her little brother.

Artemis is the one who gets Jason though. A fellow Gothamite through and through, the two are as thick as thieves and have a weekly book club

Freddy and Mary are the closest in age to Jason and often do their homework together in the kitchen.

That said 14 teammates some of whom live in the cave full time is a lot of people to interact with on a regular basis. when he needs a break he chills in the garage with Conner, Wolf, and Sphere working on vehicles.

Despite the amount of time he spends with Conner, Jason doesn’t like M’gann. He wouldn’t be able to tell you why, but it’s because he’s catching some of those early red flags for M’gann’s more manipulative tendencies.

The rest of the Team he’s friendly with, but not overly close to.

And then Jason dies. It’s the Team’s first death and none of them no how to handle it. There are a lot of upcoming sessions with Black Canary.

Dick is more serious now, not by a lot. But there is a marked difference between S1 Dick and S2 Dick, and this is the start of that.

Donna find herself reexamining hero work as a whole. Heroes do good work, but is worth the cost? She ends up leaving the Team and shortly after begins her career in politics

Mary was taking a day off the day of that fateful mission. She was having fun and now her friend is dead. Would Jason still be alive if she had been there? The Sergeant is around more and more, and Mary less and less. It takes quite the intervention for her to see something is wrong. When she finally leaves the Team, Freddie follows her,

Artemis and Wally mourn, but it takes Tula dying too before they decide they want each other more than they want to be heroes.

Barbara is Batgirl by now, but she’s not on the Team yet. But she worked with Jason on Gotham specific cases. He’s the only Robin she’s ever worked with having only learned Dick was a hero after he became Nightwing. Jason’s death shakes her for a bit. But she’s a cop’s daughter and this only strengthens her convictions.

Which leaves Bruce. Bruce who has never coped with grief well on a good day. It’s a long time before there are good days again.

ok so i’m obviously re-reading GTN + HTN before NTN. (currently on GTN ch 14)

I am pouring over EVERY letter looking for clues. So here’s some things that I think are fishy/ feed into something larger…

1. “Things are changing. I used to think we were waiting for something … and now I think we’re just waiting to die.” - Aiglamene (chapter 4)

ok what does this mean?? I mean this could be foreboding if she died pre-HTN as suggested by her presence in Harrows river bubble. Also I feel this might suggest that she knows more than she is letting on…. say perhaps supports the theory that Aiglamenes is Anastasia + Crux is Samuel (each have one eye).

Additionally “I never saw Nonius fight” (Aiglamenes again) could support this as obviously Nonius is alive around 1000 yrs pre-GTN and she never said she wasn’t alive… only that she didn’t watch him fight! interesting….

2. “The heir to the House had ordered her marshal to do something secret down in the bowels of Drearburh, where bowed and creaking Ninth brothers and sisters worked hour after hour at whatever grisly task Harrowhark had set.” (ch 6)

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WHAT IS CRUX UP TO?? i need to knowww

3. coronabeth: “I do wonder where that funny old man hid the shuttles”

ianthe: “dropped them off the side of the dock, i expect.”

babs: “don’t be mad those things cost a fortune” (ch 9)

ok ok …. so we know that ianthe is indeed correct - we know that bc at the end of ch 8 gideon watched the skeletons shove the shuttles overboard. Now presuming gideon didn’t tell no one about this + ianthe didn’t see this happen - why does she suggest this theory when, as babs points out they cost ALOT? Does this perhaps support the ianthe + BOE theory?

I had always presumed that cynthera might have been responsible for the shuttles but now i’m not sure. Like have I completely missed something?

4. After Gideon’s (rather one sided) conversation with Dulcie/cyntheria in ch 10, Protesilaus just appears out of nowhere and simply says “it’s shut”.

WHATS SHUT? sure this could totally be explained by cyntheria trying to work out if any of the other house have gained the keys to any of the locked rooms yet. But if the theory about Alecto being at Canaan house right + cyntheria potentially knows this (doubtful), could she be checking that Alectos still there/get in?

TBH think that is a long shot and there is probably a much better explanation for this.

5. Finally - not a theory - but in ch 12 when Gideon is thinking about the cohort she’s says she wants to be put on the front line rather than being “in some foreign city babysitting”.

This is basically the premise of Nona ! lmao

I feel like Sam gets mischaracterized a lot as like someone who genuinely thinks they're above others or superior to them, especially in that "not like other girls" way. Which makes total sense bc her characterization is sometimes flubbed in the show (being a 14 yr old girl written by a bunch of older men) BUT one of my favorite small character moments is in Parental Bonding where she keeps insisting that she doesn't want to go to the dance, that she doesn't want to wear the stupid dress that she definitely totally hates, that she DOESN'T want to be asked out. And at first it does seem snobbish, but when Tucker and Danny finally realize that she DOES want to go and Danny as Tucker knocks on the door and invites her...it's such a sweet moment!

The way her face lights up and she gets such glee in her voice is touching. Like, she it's not that she genuinely thinks herself above her peers and "normie" activities but that she's an insecure 14 yr old girl who knows that she's not the first pick for a dance, who fears rejection and pre-emptively distances herself from these situations before she can be proven as inadequate in some way. It's only episode 3 of the show and in just that small moment every front or facade that she's put up in the establishing episodes come crumbling. She does want to be asked out, to go on dates, go to dances, etc! She does want to feel and be percieved as pretty, like she doesn't actually believe that these things are shallow. She's afraid to acknowledge those wants, thinking that she's an undesireable loser. Which when you pair with the reveal that she's rich and hides her wealth so ppl don't befriend her for her money, it just adds so much depth to how she acts.

She wants genuine connections, real acceptance and love. So she plays up her individuality, plays up her contempt for typical high school things, plays up her rejection of the theatre of being a teenager who dresses or acts a certain way to be validated by others. But her whole schtick is just another type of theatre, a way of protecting herself from hurt AND a way of guaranteeing that anyone in her life loves her for HER, as she aggressively tries to present herself authentically and unapologetically. But as it happens, every now and then that act slips just enough to show her genuine joy and relief for "normal" teenage things. There are individual episodes that I think completely loses this nuance, but I think that it's a shame when ppl act like Sam is truly a mary sue or no deeper than "i'm not like other girls" bc this just isn't the case!

#plus she's like super young lol #if the show kept up with all their maturation and character development i think we'd see her get more confident #and thus more open and honest about her real wants and vulnerabilities

How RE Village (8) SOLVED almost every problem that I had with RE Series

Okay - a few weeks ago I made a post that was “The ones that suffer the most” where I showed and explained my main problems with Chris and Jill and the RE series in general

RE 1 is my fav game of this series and probably one of my all time favs, I player every RE there is to be played except 4 (because I dislike Leon, sry)

Recently, specially after 4, the franchise had a few problems, specially in writing/map design/lore

Resident evil 5 for example (I love this game) but it has it flaws, Chris there is only driven by anger and action - Sheva is used as a tool for lore exposition and to be Chris’s new partner

PLEASE: be aware that game at that generation didn’t have much lore - with some exceptions, like God of War 1 2 3 were a simply game with a simple lore, and the most recent GoW has evolved a little bit in the storytelling

Until we hit rock bottom in RE6 - I know a lot of people like this game, but this is only and action game, bad writing and generic stages.

Chris there is so mistreated that makes me mad (if you want to read more about this go to my other post “the ones that suffer the most”)

Until RE7 appeared, Capcom had a new engine and they wanted to do a game that was more horror like - since RE is know for being a Survival horror game.

I liked 7 - some people complained about Ethan being without emotion and others complained about the mold, a few didn’t like the FEAR vibes from Eveline.

I personally enjoyed the game, I thought RE series was going back on track, that game has it’s problems but it was really nice compared to what we had in 6.

After that game I had a conversation with my best friend and I said that I wanted a game that portrayed Umbrella’s fall since the only game that shows this is Umbrellas Chronicles (and that is most a resume of what happened)

And I said: “Bro, I wish that when they made that game, they could tie some mythological lore and human evolution before Umbrella - using Spencer, this would solve LOT OF STUFF and open new ways to handle this series”

and guess what - this happened in RE8 and kudos to the one writer that did that, i have my gratitude.

RESIDENT EVIL 8 is probably one of the BEST RE games that we had IN YEARS

And I want to address all thing that I loved in this game and do some predictions to what will happen in the next games.

“WELL WELL IF IT ISN’T ETHAN WINTERS” (The Father of the year)

My father was not a great guy... really, so I want to be the best dad ever, I really want be like Ethan - a guy who is ready to sacrifice and fight every monster in the way to save my family.

Ethan was a character that in RE7 was used to make us fell like that it was us in the Baker’s house, so that is why he didn’t had that much personality (in my opinion) but they changed that in RE8, here he has nice dialogues AND a diary

He has one of the best story line in the whole REverse, a guy that did EVERYTHING in his power to save his daughter - and you saw that playing the game, every sentence line that he delivered, he tried to save others too and even tho Chris said to him stay put ... but he couldn’t, he had to go to the altar, he had to help Chris, he had to go forward and keep going, specially after having the tools to face Heisenberg.

The plea from a father, that was his last wish, after he heard that Mia was alive he knew that someone had to stop that monster, he made a promise to his daughter “Daddy won’t let those weird fairy tale monsters get you” so he trusted Chris, to be the one that teaches his kid how to be brave and strong

I will not address Chris and Rose situation here because this is Ethans part and he deserves completely all the spotlight, his sacrifice was 100x times better than Steve (CV)/Piers(6)

My cheers to Ethan Winters - You have my respect !

Revelations -> RE8

So leaks from earlier times said that RE8 sucked and Revelations 3 was amazing

Revelations FYI is know for using old tales in RE stories

Revelations 1 - Dante’s Inferno

Revelations 2 - Frans Kafka

Revelations 3 - Dracula

But since RE8 sucked, Capcom said to the REV3 team that they could make REV3 become RE8 and they accepted

Revelations series is one of the best in the games, they handle Jill in a way that I love, Claire and even Barry - so they deserve all the spotlight for making this awesome game - you CLEARLY can see that they love this series and that they treat all the characters with the love that they deserve.

Keeping that in mind, they are the same team that made Rev 2 and in REV 2 we have this file here

So they had a plan for Jill and we can see that in RE8 - I will address that later but keep that in mind - this team cares for the old characters, they were the ones that brought Barry back to the games :V

Chris Redfield

This is a hard one, because he is my fav character and I usually have the most critics regard him, since I’ve expect a lot from Capcom

In the latest games they made him kind dumb, only muscles type of guy and an alcoholic that let all the people in his surroundings die (RE5,RE6,Vendetta)

RE6 treats him the WORST

But in RE8 he had an amazing part in the storyline, it was obvious that he wasn’t evil and they FIXED HIS EYE COLOR - FINALLY

I still don’t like the model face that much but it’s way better than 7 - so I believe Capcom, I still feel that he need more jawline

But let’s go to the most important thing - here he really feels like a squad leader and a veteran, he has his team but he is the one in the front line, he covers and ask for help when he needs, everything about his line delivery makes you feel like “Woah, this guy is a badass, he is not some stupid guy only driven by emotions”

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FINALLY GETTING THIS RIGHT

If you remember my post about the ones that suffer the most / Jill is also in that list and I will talk about her a little bit later but if my guess is right RE8 saved her character aswell

Another thing that I enjoyed here is the fact that he is kind of a mercenary / Neo Umbrella kind of guy, even tho he is one of the founders of the BSAA

So I will give you all my score to this game:

9/10

I won’t give 10/10 because of some technical issues, the cursor lock didn’t work and mouse sensitivity was i dunno, not the best.

RE8 and the future (PREDICTIONS) - Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, BSAA, Neo Umbrella, Ada Wong and Rosemary

First let’s look Rose

The first time I saw Rose all grown up - I thought to myself : She has the same problem as Eveline (age a lot faster than normal)

But she also absorbed Miranda’s power since the metalicite (something like this) thought that she was a better host. - so maybe she will live longer or something because I doubt that they will do a 14 years time skip.

This is not the same as Terra Save logo (Claire’s job) but it kind reminds me of it - her shoes appeared at least 3 times in this cut scene so maybe they are trying to show some hints with this

She really reminds me of Jodie (Beyond two souls, a game where a girl has a lot of power and the gov uses her in missions and stuff, but she also is learning how to be her own person)

Another thing here is that they don’t have a logo in this car, it really reminds me the car that Chris as using in RE8

This supports the theory that Chris’s organization is dealing with her instead of the BSAA, the she is a hot headed girl and that she had a lot of powers.

So here you can say that she is just a kid because she is a teenager, but what if she actually grows older really fast (like Eveline) maybe this is just 1 year later / 2 yrs later. (after RE8)

So this is the tricky part, this is Chris’s guard/soldier, someone that Chris trust to stand by her side, in my mind I do believe that Chris is kind of a father figure to her, so when this guys says this he is thinking about hot head Chris but she replies “Yeah” thinking about Ethan - (she has the mold memories, so she can actually remember Ethan’s memories)

Now let’s look at this

BSAA

So in REV1 is hinted that BSAA is not the best organization in the world, but since our heroes work there we think that they are the good guys right ?

In REV 2 (it’s important to remember that the team that created RE8 is the same from the REVELATIONS and they had this file here in REV2)

This email is from Jill and what does Jill have ? T-Virus

Wesker is a different case since he was a project and she had the vaccine but this would make a lot of sense if they had this tests with Jill to get the T-Virus

If that is the case, they explained Jill’s absence in the main games, could even explain why Chris left BSAA and opened a new window to a lot of possibilities

My Predictions:

- Chris had trouble dealing with BSAA and Jill’s case, he wanted to get her out of there, maybe he removed her from there but that resulted in him being expelled from the force

-Jill may or may not know what they are doing with her blood, but she will have a huge part in the BOW used by BSAA

-Chris is married to Jill (sorry- I had to place this here, in a perfect world he has two kids with her and they all love aunt Rose)

-Chris will hopefully be a father figure to Rose and they will be in a game together since in the end they came to get her

-Rebecca is still involved in BSAA activities (leak from new REV3) if you consider Vendetta canon, she maybe the one that used Jill’s sample of blood to create the virus soldiers

-Barry maybe retired

-I don’t think Leon will be in this game, but he will get his RE4 Rmk

- I do believe RE9 will be release after Code veronica rmk and MAYBE they will do a game about Umbrella’s Fall (Chris and Jill in Europe against Red Queen and BOWs)

But that is it, you can see a lot of elements from old RE games in RE8, they tried to do something really smart and the game felt amazing to play, that was something else and it’s been a while since a player a RE game that made me feel that way <3

I find this amusing & outright paranoid at the same time!! lol. This Paul Jones fellow was obviously a newspaper columnist or editor; which (supposedly in 1964) makes his stiff-necked opinion somehow more important than the millions of teenagers that watched that show on February 9th 1964? I don't think so. And I'm sure I wouldn't have thought so then, if I'd known about what he wrote.. I watched that show and I was 14 yrs old. I wasn't screaming or even excited during the broadcast. My father was not impressed; although he did like one of the songs the Beatles did (Till There Was you?); even though he immediately said, "They look like a bunch of girls wearing their hair that long! What the hell is wrong with them?..Jeesh!" I'd guess by now that this fellow is long dead and probably his column in the many newspapers it was published, is under 58 years worth of layered landfill that's once again "Mother Nature's Son"...<ahem> Anyway, this memory is a good reference for the more recent generations to contemplate, when they wonder what "state of mind" people were in, back in those days... Paul Jones' column was what I would say, represents a typical religious Conservative that has refused to accept the change that was happening in front of his eyes. Every generation goes through this. Every. One.
