As a Golden Girls superfan, I am an expert in all things related to this iconic show. The Golden Girls has captured the hearts of fans around the world with its timeless humor, heartwarming friendships, and empowering messages.
One of the main ideas to focus on is the theme of friendship. The bond between Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, and Sophia is the heart and soul of the show. Their unconditional support for each other, their witty banter, and their ability to navigate life's ups and downs together is truly inspiring. It reminds us of the power of friendship and the importance of having a strong support system in our lives.
Another key aspect to highlight is the humor of the show. The Golden Girls is known for its sharp and hilarious dialogue, filled with witty one-liners and comedic timing. The comedic chemistry between the four leading ladies is unparalleled, and their ability to make us laugh while dealing with serious topics is a testament to the show's brilliance.
Lastly, the Golden Girls is a show that empowers its viewers. It tackles important issues such as aging, relationships, and societal expectations with grace and honesty. Each character brings their own unique strengths and vulnerabilities, teaching us valuable life lessons along the way. It shows us that age is just a number and that we can continue to live vibrant and fulfilling lives no matter what stage we're in.
In conclusion, my expertise in the Golden Girls stems from my deep appreciation for the show's themes of friendship, humor, and empowerment. It is a show that continues to resonate with audiences of all ages, reminding us of the power of laughter, love, and the enduring bonds of friendship. So, let's keep celebrating the Golden Girls and their timeless legacy!!!

Happy birthday Robert Carlyle, born in Maryhill, Glasgow April 14th 1961.
Bobby was brought up in Glasgow, the son of Elizabeth, a bus company employee, and Joseph Carlyle, a painter and decorator. His mother left when Carlyle was four years old and his dad looked after him from then. He left school at the age of 16 without any qualifications and worked for his father as a painter and decorator; however, he continued his education by attending night classes at Cardonald College in Glasgow.
Carlyle became involved in drama at the Glasgow Arts Centre at the age of 21 (having been inspired by reading Arthur Miller's The Crucible), and subsequently graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In 1991, he and four friends founded a theatre company, Raindog (named after Tom Waits' album "Rain Dog," one of Carlyle's favorites) (a company dedicated to innovative work then, which is now primarily involved in television and film work), and guest starred in The Bill. The same year he starred in his first movie, Riff-Raff, directed by Ken Loach.
I first noticed Carlyle in the excellent ITV series Cracker, as murderer Albert "Albie" Kinsella, it wasn't long after this he had a series of his own with Hamish McBeth, the dope smoking village bobby in a quiet Scottish town on the west coast, the series ran for three seasons from 1995 to 1997.
Since then Robert Carlyle has been able to pick and choose his roles, his films include, The World is Not Enough, Plunkett & Macleane, Ravenous, 28 Weeks later and of course as Francis "Franco" Begbie in the two Trainspotting films.
On the small screen we have seen him in as the title role in Adolf : The Rise of Evil, Human Trafficking and The Last Enemy on this side of the Atlantic, in the US he has starred in the TV movie 24, SGU Stargate Universe and the continuing Once Upon a Time..
The third season of British political thriller-drama COBRA is due on our screens in the coming months
Other projects in the pipeline are a TV series of the popular film, The Full Monty and pa re-World War II drama The Performance is also in production.

People often talk about when you first become obsessed with an actor, you pretty much scorch the earth to watch their entire filmography. You sit through god awful movies because your fave is in it, watching a specific episode of a tv show because they had a guest role, or if they had a small role in a film you fast forward through the film to relish what little screen time they had.
However, what people don’t talk about is what happens when you no longer like said actor. It’s even worse if the actor turns out to be a less than stellar person(I’m mostly talking about them saying or doing questionable to downright problematic things, not extreme cases like them being accused of dv or sa because that’s an entirely different conversation). So it kind of feels embarrassing that you went to great lengths to watch content from an actor that you now can’t stand.
And before anybody ask, I’m not talking about anyone specifically. I’m just talking in a general sense.

I was simply just better, than all of them. i was the one trying to be more while they were all happy acting like puppets under his command. I was the only one that took action, I made something and for that, I am punished. I am simply too intelligent for them to understand, my actions would have worked if that damn that Addison came along and fuck stuff up. I know you see this Network, You WILL free me from this screaming void. I have done more than enough to please you, don’t you see that? All the others are just toys- I was something more- you and your goddamn static.

I watched 'its your fault I'm fat' which is hilarious but also kinda rude. Like they have control over themselves and what they eat. Great telly though, fucking funny.
I honestly didn't think I'd get through the first 10 minutes when I put it on but it's good. Not as much drama as I'd hope so maybe the next episode will be 🤞

Happy Birthday Scottish actor Richard Wilson.
Born Ian Colquhoun Wilson,July 9th 1936 in Greenock, he went on to study science there before completing his National Service in Singapore with the Royal Medical Army Corps. Wilson was a late convert to acting as he worked as a research scientist in Glasgow until the age of 27. He then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London. Before his most famous role as Victor Meldrew, he participated in theatre productions in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester. He also directed several plays.
After several bit parts in TV shows including The Sweeney and Some Mothers Do Have 'Em' in 1978, he portrayed a regular character in the show A Sharp Intake of Breath'with David Jason between 1977 and 1980. This was followed by lead roles in the show High and Dry in 1985, and Hot Metal in 1988. It was in between these two series that I first noticed Richar Wilson in the fantastic BBC Scotland series Tutti Frutti with a host of other Scots, including Robbie Coltrane, Maurice Roëves and Katy Murphy, Richard was Eddie Clockerty, the group's devious and exploitative manager, I remember fondly the scenes he shared with Kate Murphy as his lippy secretary Miss Toner.
Wilson then won his most famous role as Victor Meldrew, although he initially turned down the part as he was younger than the character, in the sitcom One Foot in the Grave. The line 'I Don't Believe It' became the character's catchphrase, the show ran for ten years before they finally bumped him off
After One Foot in the Grave, Wilson enjoyed roles in 'High Stakes' and Life As We Know It' in 2001. Between 2002 and 2004, he appeared in several TV movies including Jeffrey Archer: The Truth and King of Fridges
Wilson returned to a recurring TV show in the form of Born and Bred' between 2004 and 2005 and has since made the transition from a grumpy old man to a wise, old apothecary in Merlin, which debuted in 2008 and finished in 2012. Since then he has been picky with his roles and not appeared in too many shows, however a wee look at Indb tells me he has two projects on the go just now, Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men also stars Alan Cummings and How Sweetly it turns.
Richard has devoted his time to working for the gay rights campaign group Stonewall he is also a patron for the Scottish Youth Theatre and has been a long-term supporter of the charity Sense.
Wilson was planning to reprise the iconic character of Victor Meldrew for one night only at The Edinburgh Fringe a few years back but in the run-up to the event the actor suddenly fell ill and had to pull out.
It was later revealed he suffered a heart attack but remembers nothing of it. He told BBC Radio 2′s Graham Norton:
“I had a heart attack and fell off a balcony. I don’t remember a thing about it.The great thing about the accident – I’m going to mention because I’d love to know who it was – the great thing about the accident is that there was a doctor walking by, and if he hadn’t been walking by, I wouldn’t be talking to you now"
The veteran actor is still working, latest roles have been in Around the World in 80 Days in 2021, A new film, Sweetly It Turns is next for Wilson.

Sometimes I just remember that terrifying episode of Between The Lions where Lionel was in charge and the computer caught a fucking virus that warped reality and played a loop of that evil bee bitch laughing and caused Click to have a seizure while Lionel had a mental breakdown while the world fell apart, until Click was able to tell him about the antivirus software that unfucked things up. And Theo slept through the whole thing and didn't noticed the damn Hee Hee graffiti on his glasses.
That was a thing.

[ Tino ]
"Awww! Lookit that, all happy!" Clapping with both sets of hands, Tino grinned brightly at him. Shifting his weight to his right leg, he placed both left hands on his hip.
"Nah, I was kinda surprised! Our Varky's mean. He doesn't like me that much. But yours is like, soooo cute and sweet and junk!"
Bending a little to place his hands on his knees, he reached out to pet Vark between the eyes.
"Aren't you, Varky?"
