Murdoc convincing Stu to go to a gay club with him (don't ask me how. probably with his mouth), and him just having the worst time.

People trying to flirt with the "weird looking twink". Murdoc making out with a different guy every five minutes. Easily convinced to inhale poppers. He doesn't make it out alive.

If Stu doesn't storm out, I can imagine them walking out to either find a cab or to make it to the motel by foot.

"You didn't have fun?"

"No. I didn't."

"Hm. Alright. Anything I can do to make your night worthwhile?"

"...Do something the blokes in there don't get to see from you."

I can't type out what Murdoc's response may be now that I'm thinking of Diana, but there's probably some talk of back tattoos and exaggerated anatomy...

Ha, see, I'd sort of imagine this scenario like they're both there slightly against their will-- a party, maybe, maybe something Noodle's holding akin to the Yearz club chapter-- and discomforted for different reasons. Murdoc's trying to tell Stu to just relax, stop being so wound up or he'll make it worse, no one's going to bite him; Stu's pointedly aware that he's not the only bloke in here who knows Murdoc. Once or twice, someone smiles across the way and stops to make very brief, stilted small talk, telling Stu they liked a couple tracks off that last record, catching his awkward demeanor then ducking away from him to say something private in Murdoc's ear. Murdoc's always had a far better poker face, muttering short responses behind the rim of his glass. Stu excuses himself for a smoke and walks to a chip shop a street over. It's closed so he sits sulking on the kerb.

I could also picture a version of this when they're in Ibiza. Murdoc's blacked-out time there is canon but it's not a struggle to see it for Stuart either. Maybe the first couple nights are filled with women and lights but somewhere in that week, Stu finds himself fading from the E, feeling sick on ketamine and becoming more keenly aware that he's lost Murdoc again, but the pairs he's catching sight of in the crowd seem... well, he's got an idea which bathroom stall Murdoc's in right now. Blame the binge but he's feeling seasick.

I remember discussing Tintin casting choices with a friend from Germany and remarked how it was odd he often has an English accent in adaptations rather than a Belgian one, and my friend just replied "that's because Tintin gives incredibly strong English boy energy (derogatory)"

Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.

Sewed Up Heart

[ID: A Trigun comic done in grayscale with red accents. First, an anatomical heart gushes blood, forming a puddle which shifts into Vash's coat. Vash's gloved hands can be seen sewing up a tear at the hem.

Vash raises his hands, which are now bare and covered in blood. He looks sweaty and distressed, and he raises his coat to his face and cries into it. His clenched hands rip the sewed portion apart, and the red thread leads to a heart whose own stitches are tearing apart. The background gets darker and darker, and the red looks brighter and starker against it.

Then the background returns to white, and brown-skinned hands using embroidery scissors snip a red thread. Wolfwood holds up Vash's repaired coat, grinning proudly, and does a happy thumbs-up in Vash's direction. Vash lifts his head, seeming distant.
