Jazz becoming the next big Gothem villain is such a solid concept. Theres so much to explore.

She targets corrupt mental institutions. Corrupt companies who destroy their workers state of mind so they wont quit. She attacks landlords who make it impossible for people to live comfortably.

She is the staple anti-hero of anyone struggling to get back on their feet. People should have to work three jobs just to afford a crappy one bedroom, no utilities, half bath, in crime alley apartment, with a roommate.

Shelters should be aiming to gain a profit instead of using the donations to support others.

She is tired of these big name heros leaving children to clean up messes. She has watcher her own brother wither away to a shell of his former self trying to make a change and she is sick of it. Hell she herself is a child but if this is what it takes, then this is what it takes.

And it terrifies them. Helps them find themselves again and to move past their troubling pasts. No force and no mind control. No manipulating. No one but those who she has helped know the truth but when they tell the truth it only fuels the fire of her being controlling.

Theres one thing also fuelling the flames of mind control. Thats the fact that every single major hero to go after her can’t. Any who approach her find themselves no long near her. Superman just wants to talk, well she doesn’t, and he is then back in his city?!? Batman is stalking her to figure out how to deal with her but once he gets too close he suddenly finds himself in the batcave?

At first they think it’s teleportation but time is passing? Theres video feed and tracking of no they just went back themselves. No response from them the whole trip. As if possessed. (Lmao it’s just good brother danny pranking his sis a little by making her seem all powerful but also protecting her anyway he can. Or could be Dan instead)

AHHSGHD pleasantly surprised that the random loosely connected thoughts are well received lmao, considering the way i write is all over the place and very very loosey goosey (esp at 2am... which was the time i sent that ask in)

anyways the thoughts be thoughting right now and. hm. yknow the whole concept of "human ascends into godhood"? what if that happened to mafia!reader? that'd be a cool concept to play around with i think

maybe this happens after criminal!stone has already gotten overly attached to reader and basically worships him as is. and then the reader doesnt show up in the office space of the compound one morning... strange, right?

maybe stone kicks down the door after not getting any response, just barely hearing pained gasps. probably thinks this is like a heart attack, with reader sweating and clutching at his body.

i feel like the transformation is painful. its unnatural, it isnt *supposed* to happen to humans. to *anyone*

maybe reader made like a deal with a demon, maybe it was some other forces. or maybe its a sick type of revenge by the ghosts that haunt him daily. but no matter whats the cause, it *hurts* and it *burns* and its completely changing the body and the mind.

maybe reader is rushed to the medbay on the property. maybe *nothing* is helping, nothing is going the way it should, no painkillers can help, they cant even put him in a medical coma to soothe the pain that way

maybe it last a day, a week. month, maybe? doesnt really matter. but during this time, reader changes so much hes unrecognizable.

im fond of the idea of reader maybe being around 5'9ish, so stone is the taller one. but that suddenly changing after this. what if hes ridiculously tall after this. 7 feet, maybe? i dunno.

how do we feel about hooves? fangs and claws? maybe a tail and horns? just small changes to the body to symbolize the loss of his humanity. reader cant easily hide this now, so he has to face it head on. face that he now stands out *so* much in a crowd. face how the reflection isnt *him* anymore

id love to know how stone would feel, but i struggle to get into his mind in this scenario. guilt, maybe? i mean, yeah, probably guilt. he cant do anything! his dearly beloved is in inhuman amounts of pain and he cant do anything!

the existence of godhood implies magic, and magic implies a LOT of fun stuff. maybe reader uses a cloaking spell to at least *look* human. to look like how he used to. but like all magic, its draining. even gods get tired. it takes a lot more for it to happen, but it still does

in short what im saying is hurt/comfort but taken to the next level. how does our dearly beloved worshiper comfort a *god*? what works? what *helps*? massaging the base of the horns? oh fuck nope thats a growl directed at him, onto the next thing we go.

maybe reader turns the entire compound into his temple, all of the goons his worshipers, but stone at the very forefront of it all? yeah. YEAHHH i like that a lot actually

idk i just think humans becoming inhuman is neat :) esp when its awful and suffering-inducing :3

Criminal!Stone would still worship you, hell he'd be like "Your newly divine form is testament to the fact that you were, are, and will always be a god." It was painful to watch you go through that transformation and not be able to do anything, but now he's working on ways to become an even better worshipper.

Stone figures out how to comfort you in this divine form, he ensures the compound, your temple, is taken care of and is fit for the god you are. He ensures the rest of your followers (your goons) are just as reverent as he is, that they stay in line. No one dares to oppose you now.

And he adores how you're taller than him now.

Older Brother's Duties (and also i recommend reading the second fic in the series as well but the first is my favourite of the two). au where luffy is the older sibling and ace just joined the whitebeard pirates and luffy comes to check up on him. i find it very cute (gen fic)

Who We Were Meant to Be, au where luffy joined the marines for reasons and now ace is about to be executed and im not gonna say more because even though me telling you the plot wouldn't really spoil anything cause it's obvious i think you should just experience it all for the first time with no huge primer on it (gen fic)

Watashitachi wa Roger kaizoku desu (we still stand proud), au where the remaining roger pirates come to save their captain's son from execution, also heavy on the shanks and buggy friendship and their not so good past with their former crew members (like in terms of the au not canon stuff) (gen fic)

Shanties for the Weary Voyager okay so this is a series not a singular fic but i have to rec the whole series cause god damn. shanks/makino fics, the first few in the series all follow the main story and then after that are au's of the og fanfic or are one shots connected to the og fanfic. overall summary is it's just shanks and makino falling in love when he first is in foosha and then her waiting for him to come back after he has to leave and then them living happily ever after. first fic in the series is all fade to black but a lot of the ones after are explicit, like straight smut just to warn you so yeah big nsfw warning on this one

You, Drowning Between My Arms usosan fic, interesting concept where sanji keeps reliving the day after he turned down usopp's confession and is trying to fix it EXCEPT it's told from usopp's pov which i really enjoyed it. its like. kinda angsty obviously cause usopp got turned down and sanji is suffering cause he's trying to fix it but it's not heavy heart breaking angst

the demon perched upon the sun zosan pokemon au, another interesting concept, as the fic is told through an oc character. their goal is to beat the pokemon world champion but the world champion, zoro, has disappeared from society so they have to become the world champion and then find zoro where ever the fuck he is to reach their ultimate goal. sanji tags along on oc's quest. you meet the other strawhats every so often. so really its just zosan from outsider pov but done really really well imo. again, kinda angsty, but not heavy i promise

the thing that remains lawlu fic, its just law falling in love with luffy over the course of them meeting until wano. really, thats it. well written. nsfw stuff, though i believe its only right near the end and its not plot relevant so you can skip if you want (iirc i havent reread it in a bit). the rest of the series it's in i also enjoy, though the sanji/katakuri ones are just straight smut so. yeah lmao

Wine and Dine and... Guns? zolusan (is that their correct ship name????) mafia/gang au, the strawhats (excluding sanji) are a gang, and due to certain actions sanji has to join them. nothing much else to say

A Split Thread zolu fic, luffy and zoro get sent back in time after their journey and have a chance to make everything right. zoro goes off on his own to kill blackbeard while luffy gathers the crew. i also quite enjoy the sequel that is zoro's pov

lmao someone mentioned my anon to you about the self states and just said the strangest thing.

when a young child is hungry, they may go into a self state that focuses almost exclusively on food and becomes distressed when it cannot be accessed for whatever reason, be it neglect or just an inappropriate time for the child to be eating. adults can regulate their hunger self states much better than children because their whole sense of self is much more well integrated and stable than that of a two year old.

....do they mean like. emotions ???? that is describing the emotion/feeling called "i am hungry".

tbh thinking about their comments just makes me believe your post more. a child who feels emotions and then cannot handle those emotions due to neglect or other forms of trauma may create an agent to handle that emotion instead. at least that makes more sense than "a child goes into a self state that fixates on food" like. bestie that child is just hungry thats not a "self state".

(to be fair, maybe they are conflating emotions with the phrase self state, and i think of self states as a different concept entirely, since i see it more like how one puts on a persona at work compared to their home life. those arent different moods, unlike being hungry, which is a mood/emotion/feeling. self states, the way they describe it... are just moods. which is different than what you describe, which the way you describe it just makes more sense in how someone can have headmates/alters that are fully separated people with different moods and personas/self states unlike... whatever they're saying lol)

I really want to do more research into the subject of childhood slef-states, because I find them equally perplexing when it comes to how to differentiate from just... normal emotions... I admit that this isn't an area I'm particularly knowledgeable in.

Like, hunger can cause physical pain and that pain is going to feel more intense to a child. If a grown person was starving, they would probably be pretty single-minded in wanting to eat. And so I think this is something that is going on in this particular example. The child feels hunger pain more intensely than adults, and wanting to eat is instinctual. It's a biological imperative. So... what actually makes this a "self-state" and how is that different from an adult wanting to eat?

At the same time, we do see plenty of examples in adults of experiences that are much closer to plurality. This is pretty much how Internal Family Systems Therapy was formed. A therapist listened to his patients and realized they had these internal voices, and they could identify each of the voices. Not by name, but by wants and desires.

To me, this could be seen as a minor form of dissociative compartmentalization, with these voices in someone's head being distinct and autonomous. And there are plenty of people who might actually feel like different people in different contexts. So where's the line between normal emotions and self-state?

Beyond that, one thing they suggest is that I'm unaware about older theories about how DID forms and the relationship with ICs.

I'm not.

My issue concerning the theory of structural dissociation and imaginary companions is that these theories haven't been integrated.

I think if you look at the history of psychiatry and psychology, one thing you'll often see is competing theories where the pendulum will swing between them, an older theory is seen as being replaced by a newer one, and only later do they look back and see that both are partially true.

I support an integrated model that would acknowledge a connection between self-states, the parts of IFS, and the autonomous imaginary friends experienced during childhood by many children.

I also want to point out that the developmental window I referenced with a starting age of 2 was based on a diagram they posted.

This is their source. And to be clear, I don't think the developmental window should be taken as an absolute. (I certainly don't agree with its maximum age of 8.) Kids develop at different rates, and treating these developmental windows as absolutes would be silly. And this very paper references an alternative window proposed that starts at 18 months.

Generally speaking though, DID doesn't develop until the period when a child starts developing their sense of self.

Now, back to the Imaginary Companion theory, since it's mentioned in this article...

They sum up the stages of this theory into this helpful diagram.

Now, I believe that among other things, one major reason the imaginary friend connection was abandoned following the theory of structural dissociation was because it was deemed invalidating. Imaginary Companions, 20 years ago, were seen as completely controllable characters within the power of the host children, as demonstrated by the diagram indicating that the companions wouldn't become autonomous until Phase 3.

It goes on to suggest that IC's acting independently is something out of the ordinary.

Now, two major things happened in the 2000s in regards to imaginary friends. First, DID research moved away from the IC theory. And I think for patients at the time, this was validating. As again, ICs were viewed as things that are "not real" and "just pretend." The personal experiences of DID systems who formed alters from imaginary friends were thrown out entirely in favor of this new theory as the only way alters and DID could form.

But the second thing that happened around that same time period was that we learned that this perception of ICs was wrong. Much of this is owed to the work of Marjorie Taylor.

A full 35% of Imaginary Companions were reported to not always do what the host children wanted, and 29% demonstrated more negative characteristics outside of the children's control. That's 64% of ICs that demonstrate behavior outside of the host child's control.

So at the same time that the DID field moved away from the IC theory, studies of children found that the majority of ICs were actually more like alters than believed by Pica and other DID researchers when it came to autonomy.

And while Marjorie Taylor and others at the time referred to this as an "illusion of independent agency," some researchers have more recently switched to other terms.

After acknowledging that there is growing recognition of ICs acting outside of the host child's conscious control, they intentionally choose to use the term "IC autonomy" instead of the more invalidating term used by Marjorie Taylor and others.

More recently, we're seeing increasing research into the tulpa community, where tulpas are fully sapient and autonomous imaginary companions of adults. Companions which can learn to switch with the hosts through intentional dissociative practices.

I completely understand why many systems are hesitant about the IC theory. In the past, so often, it's been used as a way to invalidate and dismiss headmates as nothing more than figments of the imagination so many times.

But I believe what the current research is showing is the opposite. Not that alters are less, but that what we call imaginary companions may be more.

I believe that the research is pointing to a model of many ICs that are every bit as real as any alter, and in turn, every bit as real as their host children. That these are not simply characters under a child's control, but independent agents capable of thinking and feeling for themselves just like any other person.

hello!!!!!! tee hee hee im glad my insane words make some sense 2 you. i can surely attempt 2 talk abt bosselot some more + specifically abt fate. hrm . mission commence.

i guess. i suppose there's an element of fate like in a cruel twist of fate way running through the whole saga of the boss, the sorrow, ocelot, snake etc; like when the boss kills the sorrow, neither of them know the other is involved, she doesn't know it's him until they come face to face etc. and they've no choice but for the sorrow to die. star crossed lovers or whatever the hell.

and then in mgs3 its the fuckin. ocelot doesnt even know who the boss is at the start. much less that she's his mother. and he falls in love/is infatuated with snake whilst being totally unaware that snake is later going to kill his mother. thats not exactly fate ig or is it idk what im saying here but like....u know??? its the cruel irony of it all basically. i suppose there's an element of history repeating itself (which is in the wider series a big element ig. never ending cycles.) one must live and one must die, first with the boss + the sorrow and then with the boss + snake.

i guess also hghgfgfm. have u ever seen that post, its in the bosselot tag i think by captmelbourne and it goes like. 'thinking abt ocelot being born from a snake shaped wound and destiny and shit.' and jhghg listen i think abt that always. idk. ocelot being fated to/born to meet snake or something. idk.

i suppose in a wider non-bosselot way maybe there's some kind of fate or full-circleness about ocelot in mgs4 being killed by solid snake. i.e. he was born from a snake shaped wound + was eventually killed by a snake. hm. ...

there ARE a couple actually. two of them are related to my other fic so ill get to them in a second, but the first one is actually something ive gotten like .. half written but not rlly happy with.

i wrote this other weird ass oneshot thinkpiece where majima as a 40 year old has a bad trip and kind of hallucinates meeting his past self in the hole. if you havent read that i can post it again if you want. i have this whole Thing about traumatised characters getting to be their for their younger selves when no one else was, because like. if no one else was there for me then i needed to be there for myself, you get me? so i wrote that, and then i COULDNT stop thinking about that concept

so logical next step: time travel. LMAO. idek i came up with this bullshit idea of like. somehow directly after the hole early 20s majima gets thrown through a time loop all the way to uuuhhh around 2010 ? between y3 and y4. and ends up washing up on morning glories beach. and cue being taken in by kiryu and getting to heal (CAN YOU SEE THATS A COMMON THING WITH ME ?) and kind of becoming a big brother to the kids and eventually kiryu has to call yknow Present Day Majima cause he cant keep this secret anymore. and eventually that leads to young and old meeting and etc etc whatever would come with that. again i have it half written and dont . really know if ill ever do anything with it but itll always be in my head

aside from that i have all the various ideas in my head for thtfy spinoffs - i have an entire yakuza 0 rewrite plotted out in a document with the first couple chapters (Poorly.) written. idk if ill ever Fully write that but theoretically that would be a sequel (spoiler: it ends in kazumajimako polycule.) im happy to post parts or all of that plot skeleton if ppl are interested in that

the other one thats most clear in my head is actually nishida centric LOL cause .. i cant say like Exact stuff cause itll be thtfy spoilers but nishida and majima wouldnt be able to meet how they do in canon but i REALLY LIKE their relationship so i needed some way for them to meet. and that fic would essentially be a majima retrospective from nishidas pov, an outsider look on his courting, engagement and eventually marriage and child with makoto, etc. i just love nishida. it would also be heavily inspired by tatsu and masas relationship from way of the househusband if thats any indicator

Don't mind my nonchalant ass coming on here to rant about a 20 year old book series, but can I say that if J.K Rowling ever decides to write a sort of mini book series to go along side Harry Potter (Sort of like mini stories coming from other characters perspectives) I feel it is DESPERATELY NEEDED for her to make a stand alone book from Ginnys perspective.

This girl is so underdeveloped in the first 3 books its not even funny (And since I'm in the middle of reading Goblet of Fire rn I won't add that book to the list JUST YET- but the only time girly has spoken was when she was comforting Ron about him not having date, and defending Neville when Ron was being a major dick)

Sure, she was the mf that was writing those messages in blood on the walls and being constantly under Toms control, but STILL. She still barely spoke in the COS, both book and movie form.

I wanna see what girl was thinking when she picked up that diary and poured her soul into those hour long rants she was sending Tom about how nice of an ass Harry had.

AND I LITERALLY CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME REMEMBER ANYTHING GINNY DID IN POA. LIKE GIRLY WAS TRANSPARENT THE WHOLE BOOK/ MOVIE.

Sooo show us what she was up to during that time. Maybe she was being outcasted because of previous events, and this is where her friendship with Neville begins. They would get along for being outcasts (Ginny would eventually gain back her traction within Hogwarts later on, sadly cannot be said the same for Neville :,( Sorry babes soon enough soon enough)

I'm sorry I just really like the concept of Ginny and Nevilles friendship- I just like established relationships between characters period.

ALSO IF SHE DOES EVER WRITE A SIDE BOOK GIVE GINNY A BADASS PERSONALITY! Since I'm pretty sure the fandom has already massively headcanoned her as badass- SO WHY NOT MAKE HER A BADASS?? (Also for quick clarification, she might become badass later on- Idk I haven't read into OOTP, HBP, or DH- and I haven't watched the movies in awhile :/ So please correct me if she really is pretty badass and I'm just uneducated lmao)

Also give her other established friendships- like with Luna and Hermonie.

I started watching bsd cause you post them and it an interesting show I got to the final season and it alright but I like the characters more than I care for the plot but it not bad sskk are soulmates

second of all, i wholeheartedly agree with you.

i've actually been thinking about this ask for a few days now - about why bsd feels so weak as a manga/show. i know you didn't ask for this lmao but... rant under cut.

the premise is any literature nerd's wetdream. a world where authors have magical powers, based on their previous works all in search of a blank novel that, when written in, changes the very fabric of reality. there is so much material to draw from, so much that can be done with this concept! but bsd, all in all, falls flat.

the seasons feel disjointed. there's many, MANY glaring plot holes. we know very little about the characters, their thoughts, their feelings, their fears or motivations. the times where the characters actually seem to shine, when we actually get to know them better, are the arcs based on the light novel. Fifteen, Dark Era and Untold Origins of the Detective Agency are all standout 3-episode arcs that add more to the story than the base anime. hell, there is a decent subset of fans that prefer the BEAST light novel alternate universe to original universe (...myself included.)

and honestly, I think that's the answer. asigiri is a short story writer. look at which authors he chooses to have as his main characters. short stories rely on concise narratives, character qualities only being disclosed by actions, and plots that force the readers to look beyond what is simply written. there's a lot we have to infer about the story and characters and thus become active participants in crafting the story itself.

for example, there was a Great War utilizing ability users. We know almost nothing about it, other than it happened 15 years ago. What occurred during this war is a major driving point for many characters motivations/traumas (and may also be the reason that so many of out current main characters are orphans.) Yet, with this in the background, there's a lot of things you can consider - is this why there are so few people with special abilities? were there more before? is that why you can only use your ability in public with a permit? do you have to register than you have an ability? are there people hiding because of their abilities? discriminated against? abused?

i doubt we'll ever know. that's also probably the point.

you can't expect trilogy-level continuity and world building in what, essentially, is a collection of short stories using re-appearing characters. not to say that it's bad, at ALL. but BSD (in my opinion) was meant to be more like a serialized Sherlock Holmes sort of story - just various adventures without any necessity for interconnections. of course, manga doesn't work like that, so we have 12 years of huh?! Asagiri what the HELL are you talking about?! why is there now a random creepy tower in Yokohama? Was Subarachi City there the whole time? Why the fuck are there prison-planes? HOW IS ATSUSHI RELATED TO THE BOOK THATS LITERALLY WHY EVERYONE IS TRYING TO KILL HIM ITS BEEN 12 YEARS THATS YOUR MAIN PLOT DRIVER CAN YOU TELL US ANYTHING. ANYTHING AT ALL. ABOTU THIS FUCKING THIng.

it leaves so much unanswered, so much empty space, so few connecting links - and i think that's part of what stimulates the imagination so much. there's so much i need to fill in, so much that i want to see developed that it just HAVE to write for it.

that is in harsh contrast with my hero academia. horikoshi is a brilliant writer and artist and he only continues to get better. he introduced this world to us within the comforts of the shonen genre and decided to subvert each expectation. now that the series is ending, you see things come full circle. what are heroes? what are villains? who determines this? can someone that isn't born 'special' still make important changes in this world? what does it mean to be a victim? is there such a thing as being born evil? there are a lot of fantastic essayists and analysts that can break things down much better than me, but i'm saying all this because the plot is cohesive. the characters are consistent and have demonstrated stupendous growth. everything and everyONE from the story is making an appearance. its incredibly rewarding as a fan to see these 'lose' threads come together. horikoshi writes like a novelist - everything small in the beginning adds up to something grand in the end.

anyway, i say all this because: when i started writing for my hero academia, it was at the end of the 4th season. heroes rising was just coming out. we had JUST learned that izuku had more than one quirk. deku vs kacchan part 2 was, at that point, the most positive interaction izuku and katsuki had. we had NO idea what the future would look like for any of these kids. but we all that the inkling of something bigger, something GREATER. so many fandom favorites started around this time - because it sparked the imagination!

and, in all honestly, the way in which horikoshi is wrapping up this story is stupendous. there's nothing for me to fill in. it feels complete and resolved in a lot of ways. although i do miss writing for them, i'm satisfied with this outcome.

....this is an extremely extremely long way to say, ugh, i LOVE BSD, and it would be SO GOOD if it was good. alas. thank you for watching it i am truly sorry and/or blessed

Uhm, in case you're having trouble writing a glitchy red request where he meets the reader in a dream, I am the anon asking for that haha. Please don't push yourself to write for something that doesn't suit you or simply doesn't work out, that's okay! The last thing anyone wants is for something fun to become something exhausting.

YEA... thats the one. don't feel bad abt it lmao its just hard to format it again when i just wrote a fic bc i have to go through the motions again so i kept on writing towards the dream thing instead of just going in and writing the dream stuff first bc i feel like that'd be too disconnected ig. i should prooobably cut off the fat of the "intro" where you buy his cartridge again bc its just the same old same old but yk... it was an interesting concept, n i wanted to play with his whole dream thing since people forget about that aspect a good chunk.

i should probably write shorter fics and hcs for the sake of myself and others, but the 'tism makes it very hard for me to condense things </3

but honestly the one time i did it for glitchy its just bc i was hit with inspiration and a few scenes played out into my mind and i know i couldnt show that as properly with just a bulleted hc post lol. i mean i could? i know some ppl do headcanons and write a little bit of drabble between some of their headcanons but i wanted to give that one a proper story...

also the ending was in my mind and i knew that'd be good as hell lol

the only thing is that i have a short attention span ( adhd... among other things ) so sometimes i feel like my fics are p disjointed. like. literally. its why i just sort of timeskip to different scenes bc i am not dedicating myself to writing every inbetween )(*&^ so theyre a little rushed(?) but yk.

OK FINALLY FREEING THE THOUGHTS OF MINE ON 02 THAT I CAN STILL REMEMBER SO I CAN FINALLY WATCH DIGI FILM FOURRRR:

ok so i actually liked a Lot of 02′s concepts. like the premise of oikawa is really cool and tragic, and i loved how it ended up connecting to and consequently strengthening iori’s character, i loved everything about ken’s character development, i really enjoyed the new kids, but... the execution of most of these ideas, were not good. honestly the execution of many things in general is what was rly wrong w 02, like yes the new kids are likeable, yes takari technically did get substantial character focus, yes there were good new ideas... but the execution Sucked.

The Ending is a good example of this weirddd execution problem like im actually rather neutral about the ending, like i think tai becoming an ambassador is actually so on brand and is honestly kinda cute, but man is seeing their children being exact clones of them really.... urk. but thats not what im here to talk abt, im here to talk abt how this series does not take its time AT ALL.... except for fanservice episodes (more on that later). like w this ending, there was absolutely no time to digest anything or parse this moment that is supposed to be sad, like hellooo oikawa just turned into butterflies, and not even 30 seconds later we’re suddenly in the future like what the fuck. so weird and jarring and i wouldve honestly preferred to see the aftermath instead?

personally the ending is like the easiest thing to single out when it comes to pointing out the weird ass execution in 02, but another good example is honestly takari too. 02’s writing style is veryyy different from adventure, in the regard that there isnt as many character focused episodes. in adventure, the first few arcs of unlocking adult evolutions, obtaining crests, then regathering all the children, are structured so that every character gets some spotlight to themselves. 02 definitely does this to a degree, but its wayyy more subtle now. but even so, the 02 New Character episodes are often sharing the spotlight with a kid from adventure. which isnt always a bad thing but like... it ends up costing time that couldve been used to strengthen an actual kid of the main cast.

and this stands out especially w takari because patamon and tailmon didnt get as many evolution forms, since they already had their adult forms from adventure, and so they had significantly less spotlight. and in a show like 02 where character groundwork is placed down sooooo subtly to the point where it’s barely perceptible without a focus episode, takari just end up feeling neglected instead. hikari fares a bit better than takeru bc she gets her whole dark ocean deal, but takeru... god, takeru almost felt like a side character? yeah he lost his cool when facing off the kaiser and had his smug beatdown which was very nice, but other than that.... ?!?!

like in adventure, no one really outshines another because screentime is more or less balanced. you would think tht it would focuses slightly more on taichi + yamato since theyre the only 2 with digimons that can ultimate evolve, but it honestly doesnt really.. theres loads of episodes where these two arent the focus at all, so in the end no one in the cast feels like a side character (except hikari the latecomer lmao kinda, but honestly i feel like she was more solidified in adventure than 02?!) meanwhile, takeru and hikari w one less evolution than the rest of their gang just feel. completely sweeped off to the side :/ yes they definitely had moments and solid interactions etc etc but what they really needed, (takeru especially!!) were solid character focus episodes !

and this ‘execution’ problem im speaking of is a bit more than execution, but also just the really weird pacing of this show in general. like i already mentioned how many ‘character focus’ episodes end up sharing screentime with a older kid from adventure... its fanservice. it’s fanservice, and i honestly enjoy it, but it also rly imbalanced the grounds of the main cast, i think! and i think its a big reason why kaiser arc was So Fucking Long... like i still dont understand the point of that gun digimon episode. like literal actual filler like huh... also i dont understand why shurimon had an extra episode to themselves when that couldve easily instead been a episode focusing on thee neglected hikari or takeru likeeeee. DO U SEE ALL THIS WEIRD FILLER?!?

also speaking of that shurimon episode, that red vegetable he fought NEVER CAME BCK OR WHATEVER! this is another issue i had w 02! what they give to u in earlier episodes dont really come back to you in a satisfying way, if it even comes back at all! like if i were to compare it to adventure, which of course the example im abt to state wont be entirely fair since i watched adventure and 02 back to back, but like every character we removed a black gear from, or even whatever stupid silly little digimon we encountered, almost always came back to play a minor role in later arcs. ogremon, numemon, yukidarumon, etc, they all become allies or whatever later! you’re rewarded for noticing and remembering earlier details!!

02... 02 did not have this, even when you thought they would. gun digimon man... was just there. did not come back. same with the vegetable shurimon fought!!! like seriously omg i thought they would come bck somehow BUT THEY DIDNT??? i mean what i think they tried to do instead was wink wink nudge nudge the world tour arc, what with mimi becoming a new yorker and various american cameos or whatever, but like... honestly that arc kinda sucked :/ i was rly hoping for it to be much more fun but it really did not stick the landing :/ i wish it transitioned towards the final arc better.... like i was hoping for like, tokyo arc but its not spreadout throughout the world. man. that wouldve been so cool..

and also fucking daemon omg i was so astounded with the resolution of that thing cuz LIKE.. ?????? tried a whole “omg two antagonists are fighting one another” angle again kinda like metal-etemon and puppetmon except daemon hardly had any footing asides from some vague ‘power of darkness’ BUT OMGGGG IT WAS NOT?!!? FUCKING WORTH TO GO BACK TO HIKARIGAOKA FOR...!!!!??!? like hikarigaoka is an actually significant place and they just have a scene take place there FOR NO GOOD REASON?? literally the final arc was sooooo messy it was insane 😭😭 also looping back to bad execution eg; the ending, the desires of the digidestined or whatever was soooo rushed too like omg thats actually an amazing premise and you have a whooping FIVE characters to deal with!!! TAKE UR TIME OH MY GOD... literally giving miyako the stupidest desire like hey can my girl have some emotionally touching depth instead of just wanting to eat cake or something?!? 😭

(i dont remember how i felt abt blackwargreymon’s arc ending tho.... see this is why i need this blog so i can remember anything ever 🤦)

ok i think that covers most if not all of my bases on the problems that really irk me with 02.... i sound like a biggg hater and while i didnt leave 02 feeling that satisfied i definitely did enjoy a lot of it! like i genuinely loved all the new kids, they are as sweet and likeable as their previous counterparts!! seriously, none of them are annoying to me, they are all so endearing and <3 <3 <3

KEN! i gave 02 a lot of shit for it’s subtle writing style but as bad as that form of writing did for pacing, it seriously shined in regards to showcasing ken’s reformation. the different members of the friend group coming to accept ken as a friend at their own pace was done very subtly and naturally and it’s honestly one of the best things about this series! also ken’s backstory episode was a full-out character episode, rather abundant in adventure but scarce here in 02, but man was it the best episode of the entirety of 02. like i saw gif spoilers for it so i knew what to expect but it STILL made me cry!! do u know how good smth has to be in order to cry when first experiencing it despite already having spoilers... the delivery of everything in that episode was just fantastic. honestly the 02 version of adventure ep 21.

and for as much grievance i give 02 for its abundant fanservice that came at the cost of a better paced and more well-balanced show... i did enjoy the fanservice lol. it was rly nice to see the previous kids all grown up!! 🥺 <3 although the entire time i thought they were highschoolers cuz boi these proportions... joe looks like a goddamn college freshman!!!!

paildramon’s first jogress evolution was cool as hell too. seeing the opening change for ken was also very neat. blackwargreymon’s and agumon’s conversation was extremely touching.. oh yeah i remember blackwargreymon a bit better now!! it was really fitting that he died protecting someone, im really happy w that choice. although i dont get the whole becoming a seal for hikarigaoka thing...

also i was hoping this would loop back to tailmon’s holy ring, and the reason blackwargreymon was more intelligent than other black tower digimons was bc he had the holy ring in him. TOO BAD for me for expecting something as satisfying and logical like this... just like how i hoped picodevimon would mean a devimon reappearance but instead devimon just became trans... oh well! what else... loved the christmas episode, that was just perfection. yeah, i think thats all i have left to say for 02. of course ill still say whatever abt them but these are the main thoughts i can remember. NOW I CAN FINALLY FUCKING WATCH DIGI FILM 4 JFCCCC

when he's in a lee mood, he's often too embarrassed to go to anyone, so he uses his magic on himself

aside from magic, the main people who tickle him are Dark Choco, Poison Mushroom, and his lil minions Bat-cat and Shwarzwälder

DC does is whenever he's being kind of annoying, PM does it just whenever they feel like it, BC and Shwarzwälder do it after failed missions to cheer him up(or if he's being too naggy >:( )

Enchantress does it sometimes too, as a sort of punishment for failing missions(it never goes too far though, she's very careful)

sometimes the others poke him to get his attention, and it's not that they mean to tickle him, he's just. very sensitive

the main people he tickles is PM and Bat-Cat(because no one else let's him close, rip)

sometimes PM asks for it, sometimes Lico just feels the urge to, but either way they always end up happy

and Bat-Cat does that cat thing where they refuse to get leave his lap/hood so Licorice kinda has to force up them up lmao

he's tried tickling DC before but it didn't work and just ended up with him screaming on the floor

he almost tried with Pomegranate but the glares she sent told him not to

Demeter 30 day HCs

HELLO IT IS I TUMBLR NOOB ANON I AM BACK AND I DID A WHOLE LOT OF RESEARCH ON DEMETER (on wikipedia but still) AND BOY DO I HAVE NEWS FOR U

- apparently demeter was not just an agriculture goddess, she was also worshipped as a mother goddess, a CHTHONIC (underworld) goddess and (possibly) an earth goddess as well. Apparently she was also conflated with rhea and gaia, and could have similar origins with other mother goddess from other civilisations like cybele from ancient anatolia. Demeter was huge yall

- apparently apart from some other myths, demeter only gets REALLY upset when 1. persephone gets kidnapped (we all know she let all agriculture die) and 2. poseidon rapes demeter (apparently she was called demeter enriyes, or raging demeter, and had to go through cool stuff to purify herself). And even during the time when she was tired and distraught looking for persephone, she even had the heart to help people like demophon (whom she nearly made immortal) and triptolemus (whom she first taught the art of agriculture and told him to teach everybody) as reward for their father for showing her hospitality. So i think demeter was mostly a very chill, kind goddess, who is more inclined to help you than hurt you, and who will only get VERY angry and upset when faced with severe loss and heartbreak.

- ofc im going to talk about persephone. Ok so it seems to be that demeter and persephone were IMPORTANT AS HECK and were often worshipped together. It seems to be that demeter was worshipped as the mother, bringer of life, etc, and persephone as the daughter, bringer of death and destruction. And the whole process of her kidnapping, the search and her ascent from the underworld symbolised the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth. Apparently worship of demeter (and persephone) was related to obtaining a better afterlife for yourself. What i am trying to say is that to me, it makes little sense to characterise demeter as "bah mean helicopter mum" like what vans said in the tags of the original 30 day HC prompt. When you do the research (i mean i barely did anything but still), it feels that hades' abduction of persephone and her becoming queen of the underworld was inevitable, and demeter was just playing the role of an antithesis (like an opposing concept) if you get what i mean. Ofc myths reflect reality and humanity but i just find it so interesting that abstract but very real concepts of life, death, rebirth, and agriculture could be interpreted so vividly

- anyway getting back to the HCs, i really can't quite imagine what demeter would look like. After all the history surrounding the myths and all the folklore about her, i really can't picture her other than a vague concept of "benevolent but ultimately unknowable all-powerful mother goddess of agriculture, life and fertility". Wow thats a mouthful. What a concept. No wonder she had so many interpretations and no wonder so many of her cults are mystery cults (meaning only the initiated get to see and experience what goes on in the cults)

- also btw demeter's sacred flower is the (opium) poppy. And bcos demeter was worshipped in very prominent, very important mystery cults that were OLD AS HECK and lasted A LONG ASS TIME, some scholars believe that the lasting power of the mysteries/cults came from PSYCHEDELIC DRUGS. Make of that what you will. Imagine demeter getting high LMAO. Although maybe thats part of the reason why the eleunisian mystery cult believed that worshipping demeter and persephone would help them gain a better afterlife. Bcos they were using the drugs to conjure/see the afterlife. Wow it's so interesting and intense

Anyway i think I'm done. Honestly youtube channel OSP (who did a video on hades and persephone which covers some stuff i mentioned in my post, i love OSP so much i have learnt so much from them) influenced me significantly in the sense that i honestly think that the history/folklore/context surrounding the myths is a lot more interesting than the myths themselves. Like from one story, the society it was in and the history of the society, we can analyse and glean so much info from it. It blows my mind. This is true civilisation yall. Truth is stranger (and more interesting) than fiction.

Anyway sorry for boring yall with this post thats not really about HCs at all LOL. Its literally just history and comparative mythology LMAO im sorry

maybe ive been watching too many of those horror analysis videos (thanks cinema summary lmao) but the 30 days smp / free trial smp / whatever the name is smp has a concept that would fit so well with a death game.

like imagine you are zapped into a 100x100 world with people and you all know you are going to die in 30 days. you cant respawn and there are limited resources. out of lore, we know that everyone knows each other and such and wouldnt really want to kill each other but if we do an assumption that no one here knows each other at all? that would make it so much more interesting. or better yet, theres no explanation to the timer and people start assuming that its a “last man standing” scenario instead of an “everyone is gong to die at the end” scenario.

you could add even more angst by adding some headcanons as well. we could have a maze runner moment where tommy is revealed to be working with whoever put them in the world. tubbo having some sort of effect happen to him which allows him only 3 hours every day which significantly lowers his time with everyone else as thats only 12.5% of the entire duration and ranboo feeling like he knows this guy and wanting to protect him and befriend him but theres just not enough time when hes awake since hes constantly working to catch up. tubbo suddenly figuring out a way to dupe the border but it still damaging him and him almost dying could be elaborated to something even more with some sci fi elements. the whole bit that charlie did initially with “it all not mattering as we know that death is coming” being an overarching theme of the smp. the battle of ideologies with jack’s communism or better yet the battle of morality with jack accidentally killing charlie could easily become a major conflict. heck the entire phil wilbur thing that we’re not even sure is canon could have some ramifications.

all in all, my mind is going off on this death game idea and idk if ill ever develop this further but its all very cool.

eren admit to killing 80% of the population bc he did... he’s admitting to what he did, and he says that he wanted to paint them to be the heroes— but not only did he do that, he ended the curse of ymir and gained freedom for his people. it wasn’t just to paint them as heroes

“He also did it so the rest of the world couldnt murder them”

he didn’t “also” do it for that reason, it was an effect, the rumbling ended up killing so many people that they can’t wage war on the eldians like eren says, it keeps them a little safe which they needed especially since some of humanity knows that paradis is what started the rumbling. it’s a cause and effect type thing. because eren killed 80% of the population that remaining population won’t be able to retaliate and try to kill the eldians since there are so little of them

the tybur family is treated like some of martyr and apparently pulling the strings which led to the deaths of millions of innocent eldians was actually a GOOD thing

this scene was interpreted wrong, armin says “...so you want us to be like the tyburs after the great titan war? we’re supposed to protect paradis from reprisal from humanity outside the walls?” he’s asking eren if that’s what they’re gonna do, he never says it’s a good thing. then that’s when eren explains that either way so much of humanity is destroyed that they wouldn’t be able to retaliate if they wanted to

armin thanks eren for doing what he did to free them. not thanking eren for for mass murder period. it’s because of eren that the curse is lifted and that they are free and that’s what armin’s thanking eren for. mass murder is inexcusable, and eren knows that. that’s why after he panics and goes “but i dont want to die!” he comes to a realization that all the people he killed didn’t want to either, that the only way to atone for his sins is by dying himself. even if he didn’t die he would’ve probably been executed, or imprisoned for the rest of the life. just like in mikasa’s ova, “eren’s death is inevitable, no matter what reality you go to eren will always die because he carries death within himself.”

in another translation of the chapter armin thanks eren for being the bad guy so that they could win. he knows what eren did was bad. he’s not excusing it, he just understands why eren had to do it and that eren had no choice if he wanted them to be free.

from the get go freedom was one of the themes of eren’s character. if eren lived the whole entire world would be ruins and eren would’ve been even sadder than now, there would be nobody and it would’ve been worse than it is now. eren killing everyone was definitely not the ending to go. the ending we have could’ve been executed differently, sure, but in my eyes since i get the gist i think isa did an amazing job portraying what he had in mind.

once again, armin isn’t all that upset with eren because he understands that eren had a path laid out for him that he had no choice to follow. the point of eren committing mass genocide keeps getting brought up as if it’s not know that mass genocide is a terrible thing. it is and that’s why everyone was so angry about it from the get go, that’s why that one plan of blackmailing humanity with the rumbling and not actually go through with it was brought up once— because they knew how cruel it is. armin knew how cruel it is as i believe it was him who brought that up

he’s upset with eren about mikasa’s feelings in like a banter kind of way. it’s like “this whole entire time this is how you felt but you couldn’t tell her that and let her suffer???? don’t forget what you said to her, she went through hell!” kind of thing. they had already talked about the whole mass genocide thing, mikasa was the next topic of discussion

“Eren then finally shows some fucking emotion and cries abt how he doesn’t want mikasa to be with anyone but him”

in another post i say, "okay so first i think the issue is that a lot of people fail to realize that the way eren acted all throughout season 4 isn’t eren really, that is him putting his emotions at bay so that he can complete something that he laid out for himself for his friends.eren from season 1-3 still exists, and that’s lowkey the eren that was talking the whole time in chapter 139— you can see the how he cares for his friends, you can see the desperation again, the compassion, everything in between.”

eren is still that s1-3 eren, season 4 eren just had to put his emotions aside so he could walk on the path that ymir put in front of him.

him crying over mikasa was one of his selfish desires coming to light, and it was realistic. it’s finally dawning on him that he’s gonna die, he’s finally getting to sit down and ponder about mikasa, he’s getting desperate, he’s panicking, and that compassion that he’s always had for his friends is showing through again. this gives realism to his character— it makes his character all the more human. one second he’s complaining about how he doesn’t want to die and wants to be with his friends bc its crashing on him, and the very next second he’s trying to be at peace with himself, realising that the only way to atone for what he caused is by dying. one second he’s complaining about how he wants miksa to be with anyone but him, the next second he’s coming to terms with himself and that mikasa needs to move on, because he loves her and wants her to live a long and happy life even if it means without him. the selfishness that showed for that mere second makes his character realistic. it shows that he’s still whiny, that little whiny angry boy from s1-3. he was never heartless and he was never cold. he was and is still eren jaeger, and you get a glimpse of the eren we know in that scene.

The founder ymir was apparently in love with the king???? another women stupidly devoted to a man, great.

i’m not too in depth with ymirs story so im not gonna speak too much about this because i myself do wish that whole love thingy went more into depth. i get how mikasa and ymir parallel each other, but other than that i’m not too sure myself, and i’ll admit that. it could be a case of stockholm syndrome, it could be that bc ymir was infatuated with living and she was confined to such a familial role she wanted to live in that role again with the king bc he’s the only person who gave her that familial lifestyle. i’m not sure. but if anything mikasa was im pretty sure the only character “devoted” to a man in aot. and it was because of the role eren played in her life, she’s not a bad written character, she has her developement. which i explain here

apparently mikasa’s unhealthy devotion to eren is what took her out of it????? in fact the series overly romanticizes mikasa’s love for eren despite the two having no chemistry and eren being an ass to her

in a sense, but that’s a simple minded way of saying it. ymir’s devotion to king fritz was unhealthy, eren describes it as “agony of love” because it was pretty unhealthy obvi. like i said ymir and mikasa parallel each other, and seeing mikasa be able to let go and kill the one she loves was that realization for ymir that she was able to do the same thing— that’s how i interpret that scene personally.

and in mikasa doing so, killing eren lifts that curse of ymir and frees ymir regardless, so ymir was happy about that as well. thanks to mikasa for cutting eren’s head off.

the series doesn’t necessarily over romanticize mikasa’s love for eren in my opinion. how i see it is that since eren is a big part of mikasa’s character he was necessary for her development as well, and her development was to let eren go because of how infatuated she was with him. this being said the series points out how unhealthy the way she loved him was especially in s1-3, and her love becomes more healthy when she gets her development in chap 139, finally being able to let eren go and move on. compare that to in the s1 when eren almost dies and she’s ready to die as well. thats development if you ask me.

one of the themes of the show is sacrifice, and almost every character has made one, mikasa sacrifices eren— she kills him and she chooses to go through with that decision despite how much she loves him.

eren was definitely mean to mikasa in s1-3 because she was overbearing, and thats one reason why i say the way she loved him was unhealthy at first. eren wasn’t able to reciprocate her love in the way that she loved him because it wasn’t healthy. eren also wasn’t able to reciprocate it because the last thing he was focused on was the concept of love. once again he had a path laid out for him that he had no choice but to follow, and mikasa didn’t have any play in this path until the very end, so the boy who keeps moving forward does just that and doesn’t pay her much mind, doesn’t get to sit down and think about his feelings for her, what she is to him.

(and i dont think i even need to explain the “mikasa i’ve always hated you seen, the chapter covers that enough)

they do have chemistry time to time, the eren v dina fritz scene, the scarf scene, “what am i to you”, little stuff like that goes into play and gives them these little sparks of chemistry. they couldn’t always grasp onto the full scope of the relationship they had and it was only some times they were able to do that with everything going on.

apparently the titans are just gone now….??? i cant even tell if its because Eren died or because Mikasa really made Ymir calm down

... eren controlling rumbling, eren dies rumbling stops, ymir finally lifts curse bc 1) eren died 2) shes able to come to realization that like mikasa lets eren go, she needs to let fritz go and the curse go. ymir lifts curse, eren’s goal is complete, if titan curse is lifted there are no more titans

Characters who murdered thousands and were the cause for AOT’s entire plot in the first place are now treated as heroes to the eldians… despite the shit that they did.

everyone in aot did some “shit” they all are murders, eren commited mass genocide, reiner commited mass murder, annie murdered so many people, reiner, armin destroyed thousands of people in one go, they all have killed somebody. they are seen as “heros” because they stopped the rumbling that was going to kill everyone else...... idk about you but if you just saved me from a horrid death, my racist opinion on you doesn’t really matter because you just saved my fucking life lmao, yes despite the shit that you did— because they have killed people too, and they were ready to kill the eldians still until armin told them that they killed eren, that they saved their lives and eliminated titans for good.... like whew???

the series went from “The military is cool” to “the military did a lot of fucked up shit” to “the military is SUPER cool”, and buffed it up

i’m not really sure where you got that tbh,, like the military wasn’t really a big thing up until the whole marleyan thing??? and they didn’t have much plot in the story besides it existing so like i’m not sure what to say ab this, i can’t really remember many times the military was even mentioned until now, but if anyone wants to elaborate on this for me that’d be nice

oh and they buffed up the military because since paradis had eren jaeger who started the rumbling, just in case, they had to be ready to fight again if the rest of humanity wanted to do something. after marley they updated all their technology, why can’t they update the military as well? it’s realistic, new weapons, new military, and all that

The military was buffed up bc the eldians are scared of the rest of the world retaliating, so Eren didn’t really fix shit except giving the Eldians an upper hand in the war

eren jaeger was the one who always screamed “i will kill all titans, we will get freedom” ya de ya de ya.... didn’t he do both of those things????? i thought those were some of his main goals as a character, he fixed those issues, the issues that have been issues since the start of the show

the rest of humanity don’t know the full scope like the eldians or marleyans, they’re probably just as scared and like in real life not all nations are at peace with one another. this is just another realistic factor— attack on titan is becoming a world closest to the real one we live in, there are militaries, there are still conflicts, there is still all these little aspects that bring the manga even more to life.

in my opinion it’d lowkey be weird if the rest of the world was just like “oh yeah those mfs that started the rumbling we love them haha” no... it killed 80% of the population like eren said... that’s not something to love.

Historia has a really disturbing speech about how the fight isnt going to end until either the Eldians or the rest of the world are exterminated, despite Gabi has an entire arc about her being deradicalized and learning to see the other side of things.

and yes i am not kidding, the heroic conclusion is that there’s still going to be a war, eldians are going to commit mass genocide (which was proposed by eren) and people straight up thank eren for the evil shit he did.

“this fight will not end until either eldia or the world dissapears. this is what eren said and he may be right.” she doesn’t say that it’s for sure gonna be a fight until one or the other is wiped out, she says there’s a possibility of this being the case because of the fact that these nations aren’t at complete peace yet.

not everyone is gonna be able to see the other side of things, and this applies to the whole word— us as humans will never be able to agree on one thing, and that’s what this shows. no matter what the cycle of hatred will always continue, and this applies to real life and this manga. we are human beings and that’s what makes what historia says even more real. “this is the world we live in, a world without titans.” titans are no longer their conflict. now it’s only like the real word— humans against humans, and as far as humanity existed it’s always been humans against humans. historia’s speech shows that.

the heroic conclusion is that as a human race nothing will always be agreed upon, eldians are going to fight if they need to like our military fights when they need to. people are thanking eren for freeing them and ending the curse of titans that they suffered with for 2000 years. nobody’s thanking him for his actions of mass genocide, they are thanking him for the motive behind his actions, and thats what makes him so heroic.

that he endured and did something so terrible so that anybody who lives after him can be free, and humanity can continue existing as humanity should’ve existed from the beginning.

Ok so swap aus, love them whole lot!!

Like personality swaps are interesting but the thing that gives sanders sides an edge to swap aus is the idea of the sides swapping traits!

Obvs dark side light side swaps are neat as well but that’s a whole other discussion so

Because I am a hoe for my ships ( that being moceit, analogical, Platonic/brotherly creativitwins ) let’s start off with the concept of

Logan - anxiety

Virgil - logic

Patton - deception

Janus - morality

Remus - light creativity

Roman - dark creativity

Now it’s important to note that listen you rarely see this type of swap, I’ve never seen it atleast??

It’s mostly logicality prinxiety swaps and I get the appeal they’re opposites, so it causes conflict, Same with Logince and moxiety is also a common swap

However!! I do have some ideas :D it’s not a fully fleshed out idea but still a concept!!

Commonly enough when people switch traits for the sides they honestly dont keep a lot of what that side was. For example patton is a hyper, kind hearted sad dad when anxiety he just loses that and just acts like a droopy Virgil yk yk?

So we are gonna try and preserve those personalities without making them not fit for the trait entirely, meaning we may have to exaggerate some details about them

For example:

Canonly, Patton can sometimes be manipulative so we may have to heighten that up a bit, stuff like that

So back on topic

I think we should still keep C!thomas the same, atleast in the beginning of me writing this, we work around the idea of him staying the same as canon and from there we can change him as needed

Logan as anxiety

- a bit more confident as hes listened too more than logic!logan sadly enough

- I’d say hes a lot more open about his more negative emotions, while he does try and to still not show them his anger does slip out a bit much whenever he feels like his points are gonna get thomas killed, lmao insert tempest tongue falsehood joke here

- he’d have the look more that of a tired professor

- wrinkled black button up, he’d have a purple tie. Instead of just like makeup eye shadow, he’d have actual eye bags

- probably kept C!thomas up through many college and school nights for studying

- is always anxious YouTube is gonna fail and regrets not putting up more effort for Thomas to go into his chemical engineering degree

- obvs cause I’m an analogical hoe I’ll sneak this in, Logan really does like virgil as virgil too values thomas’ education and just kinda sits there while Logan angrily rants every single possibility of what could go wrong today

- “and there’s a highly probable statistic that we could end up dying participating in this activity! 75%, virgil!!”

- I think when overwhelmed with his mind racing through probabilities he’d end up messing with or loosening his tie, cleaning his glasses a lot, or chewing on the end of his sleeves

- I think he accidentally blurts out a lot of words especially when he’s trying to hold in his anger, like “THATS A BAD IDEA” then slaps his hands over his mouth and just kinda says, “apologies... I need to stop my sudden outbursts as they’re becoming a frequent problem” and hey the outbursts getting even more worse and uncontrollable could lead to Logan doing an ol duck like in AA

- I think I myself would love a dark side who comes in sickeningly sweet but has “darker” intentions I suppose?

- I think Janus wouldn’t like Patton in the start because he knows how easily manipulated C!thomas can be and to see a seemingly innocent dad try and push some morals on you, he’s cautious

- so Patton when he first appears doesn’t hide himself like Janus did behind a disguise... well sort of?

- he comes in dressed as his outfit in the series, maybe throughout the whole time he’s redirecting the conversation in his favor so no one reveals him, which we’ve seen canon Patton do a good job of being able to distract the sides from fighting so we can say he has that ability himself as well

- maybe like Janus he can stop people from saying words he doesn’t want thomas to know, or well thomas himself doesn’t wanna know

- but instead of the obvious slams hand over mouth it’s more like, Virgil speaks up saying “Thomas, It would probably help you to know that, Patton isn’t exactly-“ and maybe either he tries to finish his sentence and can’t speak, he just lets out air instead of a noise. Or forgets what he was talking about all together, another form of misdirection?

- patton’s whole thing is he came up here, dressed in his lil innocent dad outfit, being sweet as all hell “kiddo, I heard about a certain show you messed of Joan’s? Now we don’t joan hating us do we? We love Joan to death and we wouldn’t wanna hurt them! Can you imagine the look on their face?” Which Janus just says, “are you asking him to lie? You and I both have the understanding that Joan hates being lied to.”

- patton’s like “ehhh I know, but I think saving the relationship is more important! We don’t know if telling the truth could end up hurting Joan more then just a small fib?”

- so blah blah Patton is revealed

- his cardigan is back to his cat hoodie which is the black variety, instead maybe tied around his waist? He could have fingerless gloves that kinda look like cat

- paws? Like, he’s the unlucky black cat. He doesn’t have snake makeup but maybe he has sharps canines/fangs like cats do. And maybe we could keep the polo just make it yellow? Not sure though, but I do wanna have his lil logo go from just a blue heart when first shown to a yellow one with it like, being broken with a claw mark, like someone tore through it

- and why he chose to come in blue in the first place maybe he wanted to show thomas he was similar to Janus or maybe he has a crush on Janus? 👀👀 who’s to say

- but he’s revealed and just ahHhwhaj OH NO THE CAT PUNS, “apawogies Thomas for deceiving you a bit there, I was just trying to help make sure joan is feline good in the end! I do think you should really reconsider- meow I better get on my way then ol’ creativity needs some pasta. Keep my ideas in mind kiddo!” Then leaves lmao

- and that could be a solid set up for Thomas to be like- wait is there two creativities? Yk yk

- I do have some ideas for how svs and svs redux could go but yeah

- overall Janus, not really that known for having an animal trait as much as Patton and Roman but Janus could turn into a snake for svs redux-

I’m getting a head of myself lol

- point is, lmao- Patton’s animal trait is a cat

- he’s still kind? He can be a bit more pushy then canon Patton. But his first method is always just a gentle nudge and, “oh come on kiddo, I think your father would probably agree with me on this one”

- he’s not so much for thomas’ self preservation as more so he pushes thomas to help his friends and because he wants to make sure thomas looks good enough for them so they’ll stay he ends up pushing for lying

I have some more ideas for the other sides as well but just wanted to see what some thoughts are before I keep on developing this :D
