↬ i think he’d pick up photography as a hobby, maybe he’ll dabble into playing around with the settings on adobe lightroom or maybe secretly attend saturday workshops, on his way home from his bakery run, where he gets to learn all the fundamentals on photography composition. he eventually learns about instagram and he downloads the app on a whim when he gets bored at work. he appreciates the user friendly interface and gets the hang of it pretty quickly. he usually posts thrice a month, more if his schedule allows.

↬ now the thing with kento is he doesn’t usually put captions on his photos other than single emojis like: “🐱” or “🥐”. an exception to this is when he posts your birthday photos. he lovingly spares a few words for you that are minimal, at best, only containing a short birthday greeting. but hey, it’s written in pretty font, sooo~~

kento watches you from the couch situated near your home’s screen door leading to the pocket garden the two of you set up when you first moved in together. a small smile plays at his lips when you momentarily jump in surprise as your cat rubs herself against your legs finally ending your little game of hide and seek. “there you are,” you crouch down to scratch her ears. the loving scene of domesticity unfolds before him like a record tape from the nineties, complete with subdued hues of yellow and rose. “sweetheart, could you look here for a bit?” he calls as he fumbles with his phone. you look up confused and that’s when he decides to snap the picture. “hey! i wasn’t ready,” you protest. but he’s already posting the picture on his instagram with the caption: “💕”.

↬ yuta has a fascination with sunsets. there’s just something so alluring and somewhat sorrowful about the last flicker of sunlight waging a war against her opponent, the night sky and her stars, to keep its dominion over the sky. yuta has always struggled with the notion of impermanence — he finds change to be downright terrifying which is why he took it upon himself to confront this fear by taking pictures of the setting sun, a form of change that is ironically as unchanging as his love for a certain someone, hehe.

↬ he normally uses his instagram as a digital journal of sorts. he’s always away owing to the many missions he’s now been assigned as a sorcerer second only to gojo satoru. he writes down entries, as much as possible, on a weekly basis to properly process the many emotions he’s felt that day.

↬ naturally, you’re always the first to view the pictures ergo press the heart button which always makes him turn a bright shade of pink despite the many years you’ve been together. AND, even though you’ve already technically seen the pictures, yuta will ALWAYS show it to you again when he gets home from work and regale you with all the amazing details about his recent trip.

yuta practically melted into your arms when he came in through the front door. “missed you,” he murmurs. you crane your head back to get a good look at him and you heave a sigh of blissful relief when you neither find a single scratch nor bruise on him. “are you alright, my love?” he asks, head tilted to the right, his eyes wide with curiosity at your silence. “yeah, fine,” you shake your head, playfully pinching his unscathed cheek earning a whistle-like chortle from the young sorcerer. “you know,” he says thoughtfully when his laughter dies down. “i never realized how beautiful the hida mountains are,” he recounts the wondrous things he’d seen and taken photos of from the sleepy lake town they took refuge in, to the mighty mountain river he and gojo had crossed on their way to the summit, to the towering willow trees with branches so ancient they could practically block out the sun, and finally to the mysterious abandoned forest shrine that only showed itself to an honored few, emerging from the haze like a ghostly apparition. he continues to ramble on for a substantial amount of time, scrolling through his phone gallery, not knowing that you’d dozed off. “2:48 AM,” the clock read. yuta sighs at your sleeping form, hearts practically swarming in his eyes. he lifts the blankets to cover your forms. “guess we’ll just have to go together someday,” he says, pecking your cheek before shifting ever so carefully to turn off the nightlight.

↬ posts low contrast pictures with low brightness because he’s cool that way. if not for the fact that he mostly shares memes, his feed actually looks pretty good, it’s subtle but appealing in many ways and it looks glorious on dark mode, it kinda reminds you of those pinterest or twitter moodboards. he knows his way around setting a moody vibe on his feed, and to think almost all of his pictures were shot on his old iphone. satoru gojo, the strongest sorcerer of his generation, much to the surprise of many, is actually quite talented. who would’ve thought?

↬ but please PLEASE someone get instagram away from this man, the world is not ready for his genius. now unlike the others, satoru uses instagram purely for fun. and yes, he posts dumb shit like they’re scripture. he got in trouble with the community once when he posted a picture of dixie (depicted above) from the teletubbies with the caption: “bake those cookies dixie”. you had to help him submit an incident report to the community moderators and a promissory note stating that he’ll never post such lewd things again. and he didn’t (thank god). for a full week, that is. he relapsed almost immediately.

↬ on the bright side, though, his followers always find it cute whenever he posts pictures of the two of you on your dates, even the ever-stoic nanami couldn’t resist the urge to smile whenever he comes across a picture of his senior having the time of his life with you. god knows how much gojo satoru deserves to love and be loved in return, even if he once thought it to be the most repulsive of curses.

gojo watches you from the other end of the table, a tipsy simper on his features when he notices your eyelids drooping, your head bobbing in your drunken stupor, your lips slightly open as your breathing evens out. “you drunk, baby?” he slurs as he polishes off the last of the yakiniku set you ordered, the oily, sweet and salty grilled meat seemingly simmering down the effect of the alcohol. you were the only ones left in the izakaya, at this point, the owner has half a mind to throw the both of you out so they could close for the night. “nooooo,” you sniffle before a tiny hiccup rips through your throat. cute, satoru stares at you with lovestruck eyes. “stop that,” you look at him through your blurred vision. “stop what?” satoru asks, his head resting on the hardwood table as his hand searches his jeans for his phone. he had to capture this moment before he blacks out. “looking at me like i’m the most beautiful girl in the room,” you scowl disapprovingly. he manages to find his iphone just before he nods off to sleep, snapping a picture of the both of you. empty plates and half-finished shot glasses are strewn about your table and the night’s festivities are perfectly captured in the frame. the two of you looked absolutely hammered — your normally tidy hair was disheveled, and his face looked like a cross between a sore thumb and a ripe tomato — but still, you looked happy. and to satoru, that’s all that really matters. “but you are, baby,” he pats you on the head before finally passing out. “you are.”

☆ Robert often goes to cuddle up with Radford during the night. Usually because of nightmares but sometimes Robert gets too lonely to sleep comfortable. But then those days. The days of his parents death come to haunt him and he goes to cuddle with his older brother for comfort

♡ To everyone, he is the sweet, kind, and goofy older brother. And they are right. But at any moment, Radford can snap. And its happen before

☆ When? When Robert got bullied for the first time. When Robert came home with bruises on him, Radford instantly became curious and asked him what's up. Robert, in tears told him and Robin that he was being bullied by a group of girls, through verbal and physical means.

♡ Something snapped in Radford and he went to the school right away. He confronted the principal to do something about this. He got basically nothing. So he handled it his own way.

☆ He confronted the girls directly and their parents/siblings. He ended up yelling at them and very gently making sure that if they try anything with Robert again that it would be the last time they do

♡ "Dont you dare talk, touch or even look at my brother again? Do you understand me? Cause if you do, it'll be the last. YOU GOT THAT?"

☆ Yea they never tried anything with Robert again.

♡ Robin said he went too far but Robert was happy someone stepped in

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

For obvious, be it very personal reasons, grief plays a major role in many of the things I write. Loss of a loved one, but also the mourning of chances not taken, of paths now seemingly blocked. (The latter has a lot of overlap though with me trying to not romanticize Organized Crime, so it's not just 'here is someone grieving for their past self and that is something normal we all go through', but 'Living this life will never make you happy and instead lock you into one of your potential worst selves').

I liked some good eating metaphors, even far before I knew what was going on metatextually, but now it's kicked into hyperdrive. Food, teeth, hunger, all those are things that often find their way into my writing, in minor ways.

I also love a good historical allusion, goddammit. To be fair, I don't know how many I've actually written into my writing, but I very often think about how I could represent characters with elements from myth or history. I adore a historical nickname, even if it is rather for the parent generation. Fernando's nickname being 'El Rey', and thusly Antonio at first being called 'El Principe', before the other senior Spanish mobsters realized he's pursueing a different style of business conduct and so he got stuck with 'El Conquistador'. Salvatore being known as 'Caesar' or 'Dionysius of Palermo'. Haunted houses, HUGE thing. The English office being a former Victorian era factory, Michele's house made to resemble a Roman villa, the O'Connel's house formerly being a house where in Industrial times, dozens of people lived in crammed conditions. Two of the Danish subordinates are directly based on two heroes from the medieval German epic 'Kudrun'. Dolcetto's cat is named Machiavelli and Lovino is the reason.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I can't judge this one on subject matter (Though I guess, as far as fucked up shit goes, La Sicilia dell'eterna notte gets disturbing very quick for something with less than 500 words). Therefore, I will go for the writing process. No Rest For The Wicked was written within a week, with no prior planning whatsoever and with a deadline for rarepairweek to meet. That was some topsy turvy shit. And the latter half of Italian Affairs, like the last third I guess, is a rollercoaster ride - both in its creation and within the actual text.

But the award has to go to The Amulet. I still have to have a call with Emi and iron out the last comments, before I print the 70 pages out and proofread them. And then I can finally, FINALLY upload them.

I started writing the first draft of the story on paper in January 2017. The idea of wanting to write something with my Greek and Turkish OCs had been ghosting around my head for a while. But I initially started writing because I was stuck on Italian Affairs and none of the characters would talk to me (e.g. everything I wrote in their voice sounded ooc), so I started writing something else to 'make them jealous'. Absolute pro tip btw, pivoting away from one story when you are stuck with another will do wonders for making you inspired for the first story again. Get out of that rut. Anyways, so I started writing that draft and then continued doing so when I had a free minute at school, until the story was done. I then typed up the draft and did a first round of revisions. I tried to find beta-readers for it, which also worked in 2019. But I still didn't publish it, because the beta never made it to the end. And then it sat and sat in my drafts, while I worked on other projects. My writing improved, my standards raised themselves. And I began to see why the story had always bugged me. I saw that I would have to scrap the whole thing and start from scratch, with extensive research and some soul-searching. And this is what I did - Before I was able to write part 3, I spent weeks hovering up information about the Turkish Republic and the 2014 election and so on. Only for it to vaguely matter for half a page in this 70 page epos. (But worth it, I love learning stuff). I eventually got dear Emi as a beta, who immensely helped to improve this text. Let's all hope that after 6 years of work, it'll finally see the light of day.

I really love DIY tote bags and I recently made some my self. It's very easy and fun,and of course a bit messy from time to time. What you need is a plain,basic tote bag (I'm sure you'll be able to find them at the craft or Dollar store),some acrylic paint (you choose the colour) and of course a design of your choice(you can find some on the internet or just make one yourself).And you obviously need paint brushes,some cardboard/paper and some tissues. For beginners I recommend you start with a simple design (emojis,lines,circles, squares etc.).

TUTORIAL

First,you must prepare the bag for painting.Lay the bag on a flat surface and put cardboard /paper inside the bag so that the paint doesn't transfer to the other side(of your bag).

Then you prepare the paint brushes and the acrylic paint you'll use.You can trace the design onto the bag with a pencil ,but I personally didn't do that since I did a pretty basic design. After you sketch the design,start painting the bag with the paint. Now you can do multiple layers of paint depending on how thick or thin your paint is. If you decide to do multiple layers of paint,make sure that the layers are dry before you add new layers.Wait for the paint to dry completely.

To make the paint last longer,turn the bag inside out ,put cardboard/paper inside the bag. Once you do that,iron both sides of the bag(WHILE STILL INSIDE OUT!!!).Also once you decide to wash the bag,wash it inside out so that your design doesn't get damaged. And that's it!Have fun!

i've actually been trying to find your blog for weeks to not only binge atp for the millionth time but to reblog it with comments as i finally made time to do it 😅 i'm sorry for being part of the problem!

i'm a writer (yikes i know) who's dealt with a similar issue on wattpad where the only interactions i got were people adding my stories to reading lists, so likes are super rare and i literally don't know the last time i got a comment or a reply to a comment (and i doubt ny notifications go back far enough to see 🙃). it's one reason why i've kind of stopped putting stuff on there (again: yikes i know).

yet i'm terrible at commenting?? especially on here because i always want to write an essay everytime because i know how much work goes into writing something as short as a blurb so i feel bad about writing a 'i love this!' even though i personally enjoy those comments? no one will be more pissed or confused about me being affected by yet contributing to this problem more than me. again, i'm sorry. i know much a heart emoji means and how much silence hurts.

i have a fanfiction sideblog (which i will not share bc there's shit on there that's between me, the author who wrote it, and god) bc i didn't want to reblog on the account i post my own writings on, mainly bc i feel like it will annoy people if i reblog every fic i read bc... there are a lot lmao. so first tip is maybe run a sideblog where you just reblog fics you've read and loved?

second tip is to have a queue running if you're scared it will annoy people?

i have a system where i reblog when there's a fic i see that i wanna read but i dont have the time for yet and tag it with 'to read' then i'll reblog it again with insight/comments. that way the post is in circulation and even if i dont get to it ever, i've still helped out he author?

i hope you don't feel too guilty. it's something we all have to work more on to make sure writers feel more appreciated! i genuinely dont have any vendetta or ill feelings towards you or anyone, i just choose to write for myself now <3

Scarlett and Y/N being besties for 7 minutes straight

Pairing: Scarlett Johansson x reader (younger!fem & platonic)

Summary:

You find a video complication that sums up your friendship with Scarlett Johansson.

A/n: this is what happens when you binge watch a lot of avengers cast interviews and I wrote this in a day btw (more notes at the end!)

Warnings: none other than fluff !

You let out a short cackle when you came across the video that immediately sparked up your interest. The thumbnail was your best friend, Scarlett Johansson and yourself hugging each other affectionately with assorted iPhone heart emojis, during what seemed to be an interview - you can’t remember since you’ve done so many with her.

‘Scarlett Johansson and Y/N L/N being besties for 7 minutes straight’.

How can you not?

You cast your phone to the TV. It started with a short intro of the video title in comic sans font and Wii background music as all fan-made compilations should.

“Speaking of Y/N, you already knew each other before working on the Avengers movie, right?” The first clip was of Scarlett’s interview with Ellen a few years back.

She opened her mouth to speak but went to look behind her first which made Ellen and the audience laugh. “Sorry, it’s just a precaution. I didn’t like what happened the last time you mentioned someone.” That being Chris Evans, the man scared her from behind the last time she was on the show.

“Don’t worry, no one’s popping out today,” the talk show host reassured with a smile.

“Good - uh anyway, yeah,” Scarlett chuckled. “Y/N and I did know each other like way before Avengers. She’s one of my closest friends actually.”

“Oh really? Can you tell us all about it, how did you two meet?”

“Um, yeah. It was at dinner, I was working with her dad on a movie when I was young - Y/N’s father is this incredible director yeah you all probably know - and... uh, yeah. I met her there,” a picture appeared on the monitor of both of you at the premiere of your first movie together. “I was around fifteen at that time and she was probably around five or six.” She pointed out.

The camera slightly moved to the left where you could be seen creeping in sight behind the actress. Ellen and the audience were doing a great job not to ruin the surprise.

“That is amazing. So you met Y/N way before you met Chris - Chris Evans?”

Just to be sure again she looked over her shoulder at the mention of her goofy co-star but you were already hidden behind her chair and ducked, erupting more laughter from the audience at her antics. “I met Chris shortly but yeah, I’m sort of like a family friend to Y/N, you could say.”

They talked more on how you’ve helped her a bit to get in character for Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2 since you read a lot of comics, how the first person you called was Scarlett when you got your first Marvel role and how she became your on-set big sister on your first days working with the Avengers cast.

“I remember her being terrified of the thought of being in the same room as Robert and Mark,” she paused to laugh. “As if she wasn’t a big actor as they are-”

You jumped up from behind the seat, putting your hands abruptly on her shoulders and yelling, “SCARLETT!”

She yelped, covering her mouth then her whole face as the whole studio went wild. You hopped and landed smoothly on the arm of her chair to hug her tightly.

“Who’s terrified now?!”

“This is called Avengers: Phone-A-Friend,” Joe Russo announced. Scarlett, Paul and Chris Hemsworth were competing in a game at a UK fan event.  “Let’s see who can get a fellow Avenger on the phone quickest. Get your phones out, fastest one wins!”

It cut to the part after Paul and Scarlett decided to call each other. She was quickly scrolling through her phone, after Downey didn’t answer her call, she managed to get to her latest text messages which was you, so she tried to call you.

Grabbing a microphone as soon as she saw the call connect, you spoke the same time Robert did on Chris’ phone.

“Chris, is that you my dear?”

“Hey Scar, I was kinda sleeping. What’s up?”

The whole room went quiet, The Russos gaped and grinned, didn’t really expect to get two on the line. Paul was still figuring out what the heck was going on.

“Y/N?”

The room started to go loud again but not that much, Chris was holding in a fit of laughter and stuck both his and Scarlett’s phones so you could continue the conversation.

“Oh hey Mr. Robert,” you sometimes called your co-stars with ‘mister’ or ‘miss’ before their first names just to tease. “What’s going on?”

“Well I’m in my living room, and you happen to catch me at a nice time...” he started.

“You’re not with Scarlett right now?”

“No,” Robert’s voice was filled with confusion and wonder. “Isn’t she at a fan event with-”

He was interrupted by loud cheers of the fans. “Wait you really had no clue we were at the fan event?” Scarlett directly asked you as Chris and Robert laughed.

“Well, everyone was doing a great job of being quiet and I’m still half asleep.” That earned even more laughter from the fans.

You and Scarlett tossing jellybeans in the air and trying to catch them with your mouths in the background after playing a game with some of your other co-stars at a talk show.

The original clip was cropped to focus on the both of you so the quality was slightly bad. Not bad enough to miss how one bean almost entered your eye and Scarlett covering her mouth to suppress her laughter though.

Scarlett was in the middle of a red - or purple carpet interview at the Infinity War premiere.

“Um, it’s-” she went to answer but was cut off by a squeal from behind the camera, followed by a yell.

“Scarlett!”

Recognizing who it was she rolled her eyes playfully and decided to continue the interview. “Anyway, I was-”

“SCARLETT! JOHANSSON!”

“I am so sorry, that’s..” Scarlett chuckled and the interviewer had an amused expression as they went to look at your direction. They handed the microphone to Scarlett, “it’s okay! Do you wanna...?”

“What, what do you want?” She spoke through the microphone. It’s funny because the camera never showed where you were and just focused on Scarlett and the interviewer.

“I - I JUST WANNA SAY I MISSED YOU.”

The interviewer laughed, still amused by all of it. Scarlett scoffed, “we literally did each other’s hair before we arrived.”

“CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU LATER?”

“Y/N-”

“PLEASE?”

Being an actress your whole life had cons, because that meant you didn’t have a lot of free time whenever you had something going on so school was tough.

But you managed to graduate.

Scarlett came to support you. You had just received your diploma as the camera followed your movement - probably recorded by a relative or friend - then your best friend came into view as you ran into her open arms.

The best part was you were both unbothered despite being huge personalities and you appreciated it greatly, it just made you more happy and you got to process everything.

“Oh my gosh, you did it!” Scarlett exclaimed which could still be heard on the video even if the place was noisy and they were still calling up students on stage. She loosened the hug a bit to get a look at you. You put on a genuine, excited smile and hugged her again.

You just fiddling with Scarlett’s polished nails during an interview, none of you acted like it was a big deal and Scarlett didn’t look like she minded. You always felt like you had to be fiddling something during interviews, especially when you’re thinking of a thorough answer. The only times you didn’t is when you’re making movements with your hands to answer the question or you’re distracted with an interview game the producers planned.

And Scarlett wanted you to be comfortable, so she just went with it and eventually got used to it.

“Alright, I’m just gonna...” you adjusted your stream settings. Whenever you had nothing to do, no projects to work on, you streamed and played games on Twitch. Not too much though, and all the money you earned from there goes to your favorite charities. “Wait hang on-”

You mostly played with mainstream and famous streamers, sometimes your co-stars, and sometimes your Avengers cast members would stop by to watch the stream and it was really fun.

Where did these streams take place? You and Scarlett’s apartment. The both of you agreed to buy your own little place so whenever either of you had shootings nearby you’d just stop by there instead of booking a hotel room. (You bought the place in the middle of Scarlett’s divorce and you thought it would relax and take her mind off things a bit).

You switched the screen to say ‘be right back’ because you smelled smoke. You remembered Scarlett telling you she’d be preparing something in the kitchen.

“Scar?” You called out. Your voice was still booming on the stream because you forgot to mute and you haven’t left your chair yet. “Scarlett?”

“Yeah?”

“Everything okay in there?” Your voice was a little bit far away from the microphone now.

Two seconds of silence. “Yup, I’m fine. Just working on this casserole-”

“Well, is it burning?”

Another moment of silence. You eyed the fire extinguisher in the corner of the room just in case.

“...no?”

The video cuts to the part where everything’s fine now and you turned your camera back on. “Okay, so-” you scrolled through the chat box, and your eyes widened at what everyone was talking about. 

“Oh god I forgot to mute, didn’t I?”

You burst out laughing, scrolling further into the chat and checking your phone as well, a few texts from Anthony Mackie, Lizzie Olsen and a missed call from Cevans. All of them asking if the both of you were okay and if they needed to call the fire department.

“Scarlett’s going to kill me.”

“Action!”

Held by strings, you threw harsh punches towards the supposed Black Widow, and you dodged hers back. Both your expressions were cold and stern as you tried to take the other down. 

Not until Scarlett accidentally hit you with one of her batons on the temple.

She was out of character before the director could even say ‘cut’, you nearly stumbled when she ran over to check if she had hit you that hard. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Was it hard? Come on let me see,”

“And now we’re going to show you something a little bit different here is an audience reaction to a particular scene from Avengers: Endgame.”

You and Scarlett were invited to do a video where the both of you would react to all the movies you did together and maybe say something about the experience working on it.

“It better not be - oh no,” you tried to hide your head behind Scarlett’s shoulder as she watched the scene interestedly since she wasn’t around that time anymore.

Since your character and Widow didn’t get along on all the previous movies, the Russos thought it would be touching to add a little scene right after Tony Stark’s funeral with Clint, Wanda and your character talking.

Audible mutters can be heard from the audience when the camera showed your face, emotionless, but your eyes were starting to gloss.

Then you said something short that made the audience gasp, and when tears came out of your eyes the reactions were loud. Just goes to show that your character actually cared for the person they despised.

“Touching,” Scarlett chuckled turned to you as the scene ended, a little smile played on her lips. “You know what? You look adorable when you’re crying.”

You removed yourself from her shoulder with a pout. “Well do you wanna know what was on my mind while we were filming that?” You were talking to both Scarlett and all the people behind the camera. “I was thinking of this stupid fight me and Scarlett had-”

“No!” She laughed, hugging you, but you kept talking and the crew started to laugh.

“In fact I don’t know what caused it, but I know it was stupid and we didn’t talk for weeks-”

“It was embarrassing and made no sense at all!” Scarlett cringed.

“And, like, all of you know I can’t last a day without this woman she literally ties my shoelaces for me,” you laughed. “But I cried at least three times because I missed her.”

The next clip was the actual Endgame scene they showed from the interview.

“We won. We did it.” Clint said.

“She knows,” Wanda nodded. “They both do.”

They held each other for a bit, but Clint noticed something off, spotting you sitting on your own on the grass with your knees against your chest as you stared blankly into the lake. Wanda tilted her head to show her concerns as well.

“Hey!” Clint called out.

But you remained silent.

Your character was cold, much like Bucky Barnes when he’s the Winter Soldier but instead that was your character’s actual personality. Doesn’t take shit from anyone, barely smiles or shows any emotion whatsoever. The important thing for your character is to get things done, and they believe it’s what they’re alive for.

You won’t deny, you were a fan favorite.

So when your character met Natasha Romanoff in Age of Ultron, both parties did not get on the same foot, having short fight scenes when it was necessary (which was so fun to film), ever since they never got along. Your character always gave bitter comments towards Natasha, she just ignored you, that kind of relationship.

But then she died retrieving the soul stone from Vormir.

Your character and Natasha last saw each other at Wakanda, you were one of the heroes that got dusted after the snap.

“You okay?” Clint asked as both him and Wanda walked over to you. You didn’t budge from your expressionless state not until the archer spoke again. “You know you can tell us anything, right?”

You blinked then looked at the ground where you sighed. “I....” you shook your head and when you went to look at him, full face shown to the camera, a tear or two ran down to your cheek. “I just miss her, Barton.”

Clint sighed understandingly while Wanda looked at you sympathetically. The scene ended with all three of you watching the lake from afar, before switching to Happy and Morgan’s.

You smiled as the video came to an end, deciding to text your favorite human just because you haven’t seen her since her wedding, then you had to be home at all times because of the pandemic.

In Supersons we see a couple of kids that are implied to be Damian and Jon's children and the boy has laser eyes and can fly, so I asume he's not adopted. The girl, who calls Bruce grandpa, can also fly, btw. So it's canon (probably by accident) that Jon can have kids and he must have married one of Bruce's kids. I wake up to my buzzing phone as the sunlight peeks through the windows, making my eyes hurt.

I take a look at my phone, one eye slightly open, and am shocked to see about a hundred texts from Vivi. Without thinking, I open them.

I groan into my pillows as I read Vivi's text.

Madoc's is the last place I want to go to. Not after I found out his secret. The only sane people left there are Oak and Vivi but if they found out what he had done, I am sure they wouldn't give him a chance either.

I still remember my mother's listless dead body covered in blood as it was being carried away. Her fingers had turned pale and her once beautiful warm eyes were now robbed of their colour and soul. All the life in her seem to have vanished into thin air.

I didn't get to see my father that day; his body had already been buried by the murderer, the one who was responsible for ruining my childhood. I didn't even remember their faces anymore.

Madoc and Oriana had been kind enough to take us into their care and I was thankful for that; I truly was but I hadn't known it was because of his guilt.

A I get ready for the horrible night ahead of me, my thoughts drift to Cardan and when he had me in his arms. I can still feel his gaze on mine and his warm hands caressing my back.

No. Stop.

This was Cardan fucking Greenbriar, the most popular jerk in school, the person who has been creating problems for me since day one. He would only take advantage of my weakness. I had to build myself a wall, not of brick but of iron. I had to protect myself. I just had to or else--

I get into Vivi's car and I notice a slight shadow of disappointment on her face.

" Heather can't make it, can she?", I say.

" No. it's not that"

"Then, what happened?"

" We kind of had a fight"

"Kind of?", I ask suspiciously.

"It was a stupid fight", she starts the engine as her amber eyes shift to me, "what the HELL?", her eyes bulge out as she yells, " you are wearing that?"

"Yes, I am. And you can't stop me", I say defensively, raising both hands and she starts driving.

No response.

Maybe she is too stressed to even talk.

The ride to Madoc's is silent. Neither of us say a word.

The red brown door opens to reveal a masculine figure, one of his hands holding a cup of coffee--my foster father.

He is still the same, his amber eyes enough to make a man tremble. And I hate him.

I still remember Oriana's shrill voice filling the room as she had said, "why do you keep those children? They are a burden on us!". I was never Oriana's favourite child but...

Nothing could've prepared me for what Madoc said next, his tone filled with rage and guilt as he confessed, "Because I was the one who killed their parents!"

"I was the murderer", he repeated, his voice barely a whisper as he fisted his hair and closed his eyes as if refusing to accept the truth.

That was the last straw; I hadn't waited much longer before moving out.

None of my sisters were aware of the truth for it was enough to break them, enough to leave them completely shattered and I wouldn't ever accept such a thing. No. I wouldn't let my sisters pay the price for a crime someone else committed and I would go to whatever lengths to protect them, even if they didn't need protection, even if we had our differences.

I step into the house and before I can process what is going on, Oak is atop me, his hair tickling my cheeks. I pick him up, his arms around my neck as he giggles, dropping a kiss to my cheek.

For a brief moment, I feel as if all my worries have washed away, as if I was truly... happy.

But that is interrupted by Oriana as I close my eyes shut, fighting the boiling anger inside me.

"Oak, stay away. Don't jump like that. You'll get hurt and I wouldn't like my son to get hurt", she shouted from afar, running towards Oak, pulling him away from me.

Unable to keep my mouth shut, I snap at her, "He is my brother too, you know", before walking towards the kitchen to calm myself down before I throw another tantrum.

My hand rests against the cool black marble of the kitchen slab as I say, "Don't even think about it."

I turn on my heel to lay my eyes upon his wicked face.

"I just wanted to say thank you", every word of his was a deceit as I walked towards him, one step at a time.

" I came here only for Oak and Vivi. So don't get ahead of yourself"

"Jude..."

"Don't bother asking. What you did was unforgiveable"

I strut out of the room, not once turning back to hear what Madoc had to say.

Enough. Let's get this dinner over with.

Just as I take my place on the dinner table, thinking this day couldn't get any worse, Taryn walks in and she is not alone.

Her arm is locked in with Locke's, their fingers entwined but it wasn't them who had left me perplexed: it was the figure behind them.

"Sorry I am late. I brought some friends too", she locks her gaze with mine as she gestures towards Cardan with one hand, "is that okay?"

Unable to contain myself, I throw my utensils on the wooden table and storm out of the house, not caring about the huge thud I make when the door slams behind me.

Cardan POV

I leave dinner soon after Jude does. I shouldn't have listened to Locke; I know better than to trust him.

I find Jude standing outside on her terrace as she stares into the night sky and I can see the moon shining in the mirror of her gorgeous eyes. But it isn't the moon I am captivated by.

It's her.

Her hair is now a light brown and her features enhance as she stands in the moonlight, eyes closed against the wind.

I know it isn't right to follow her to her house, I know it isn't right to be staring at her like that but I just... can't stop.

Gosh.

Jude POV

I am standing on the balcony, breathing in the chill mists, digging them deep into my lungs as I hear footsteps behind me and before I know it, my fist is against Cardan's jaw.

Funny. I don't remember deciding to punch him.

"Aah", he groans in pain, his jaw now turning red, "what the hell is wrong with you? I mean, you are generally a psychopath but... aah...", he exclaims, grabbing his jaw as he turns to look at me.

I should feel sorry. I punched him without reason but...

"Are you laughing?"

"You... you", I try to catch my breath as he comes to stand beside me.

"Quit it, Jude."

I laugh and I laugh and I laugh. I can't stop.

It had been so long, so long since I had laughed like this, since I had actually, genuinely laughed. And it felt amazing. It was euphoria, something that hadn't been in my life for quite some time now.

My hand coils around the cool black railing as I finally stop, though I can't stop smiling.

"Bitch."

"Suck my dick, you asshole."

"Oh, so you have a dick too", he mocks

"Yep. Much bigger than yours", I return with a vulgar gesture.

There's a short pause, a peaceful pause filled with the chirping of birds and the crickets singing their with their euphonious voices until I say, a smile plastered on my face, " I hit you pretty hard, didn't I?"

"Hard? You broke my face!"

"Oh, stop whining."

"That is the third one this week!"

"The first one was because you pushed me into a pool. The second one was because you asked, no, tried to force me into backing down from the fencing competition, in which you failed miserably by the way, and the third..."

"You punched me without reason this time, Jude", he argues, raising one finger.

"You were standing behind me like a creep!"

To that, he shakes his head in question as if trying to prove me wrong.

"Self defense, Cardan", I explain to him, taking a sip of my coffee whilst clutching onto my black cardigan. "By the way, how did you get in?"

"I will not tell you."

Stars above...

It was the first time I had seen her laugh. And that laugh...

I swear I felt my heart skip a beat when she started laughing. If it was possible to play that moment on repeat, I would've.

But love desire is a dangerous thing. It makes one weak.

I am not weak.

She hated me and I hated her. And that would never change. She had left dinner because of me and I, too, because of her.

"You really hate me, don't you?", I ask.

"Almost as much as you hate me."

Two years ago

Miami, 5:30 a.m.

You are lying in bed, a warm arm around your waist. You awake to the sound of your cell phone vibrating, and groan softly as you reach for it on the dresser.

- Hola? - You mumble as you answer it, sitting up in your bed.

- Hey, Y/N. - You hear a female voice. It's Cris. You blink in surprise.

- Cris? Is everything okay? - you ask feeling worried immediately. 

Your sister gives a dry laugh on the other end of the line.

- Yeah. - She says breathlessly, sounding tearful. - I wanted to tell you that I like someone. - You frown, but don't interrupt her. - But it is a girl.

You blink, then want to laugh. If only Chris knew what you were up to.

- I don't know what to do. - She confesses and you know she is crying.

- Cris is okay. - You assure her, getting up and walking to the balcony. - Have you told her yet?

Cris laughs again.

- She has a boyfriend. 

- Damn it, Cris. - You mumble. - You had to like the one who's already taken, right? - You try to joke and Cris gives a weak laugh. You swallow dryly trying to think of what to say next. - Listen, thanks for telling me this. I wish I could be there with you.

- That's fine. - She assures me. - You were the first person I wanted to tell.

You smile.

- Wow, baby sister, you are so sweet. - You scoff slightly and Chris laughs. - But seriously, talk to your girl. Make things clear between you two.

Cris sighed. 

- Thank you. - Cris says after a few minutes. You'd like to hug her.

You stayed on the cell phone with your sister for a few more minutes until you hung up. You found it ironic that your younger sister came out of the closet before you did, but you didn't say anything.

The next year, when you came home for Cris' birthday, you also told her before you left that you also liked girls, and Cris laughed and hugged you, saying that you always seemed to.

Now you were back for your sister's graduation, after traveling almost the entire United States. You intended to avoid your mother's questions about college when you arrived at the door of your house carrying your bags.

After hugging and greeting everyone, you got ready together with Chris for the ceremony, and then you all drove to her high school, which had once been yours. It was strange to return, even though it had only been three years since you left.

Then the ceremony began, and you smiled and clapped your hands together with everyone else, and then Cris ran up to you and your brothers, ecstatic with happiness.

- I'm so proud of you. - You said to her as you hugged her. She smiled and thanked you, and then she waved to some girls in the distance.

- Hey, try not to flirt with my friends. - she joked.

- I'm not going to f... fuck. - You whispered the last part as a blonde girl reached you, followed by the others. You swallowed hard, trying to cover it up.

- Y/N, this is Nora, Eva, and Viri. - She introduced them, you already knew Amira, and she just nodded. You thought maybe you were staring at the blonde, Nora, too much, so you blinked and forced a smile, holding out your hand to greet them. And then Chris let out an excited exclamation, and ran toward Joana, who you only knew from video calls, and had just arrived on the scene.

- They are cute. - You commented with a smile watching your sister jump on the other girl's lap and hug her while laughing. 

When Cris came back to you guys, she said she would like to celebrate for real. You told her not to tell your mother that you were taking them to a real party. And so you ended up in one of the most exclusive clubs in Madrid, with VIP tickets courtesy of a friend of yours from Miami. Good thing they were all eighteen years old, you thought as you walked into the club. The girls were very excited.

After a few minutes of dancing, drinking, and greeting old friends, you were curious to meet Nora, so when she went to get something from the bar, you followed her.

- Hey. - You called out to her, leaning against the counter beside her. She smiled at you. - Tell me again how I didn't meet you before.

She lets out a little laugh.

- Cris told me you were traveling. - She says. - We've been friends for four years, I guess it was bad luck.

You sip your drink, smiling. Then the bartender brought her something, and she thanked him.

- What did you order? 

- Anything without alcohol. 

You looked at her drink, and let out a giggle.

- Wow, Paulo gave you the worst non-alcoholic drink in this place. - You commented with a smile, and then leaned back on the counter, sliding your hand to the inside. You let out a contented exclamation as you reach for what you are looking for. - You'll like this one. - Nora looks at you curiously, and you hold out a small circular bottle. - Don't tell anyone that I showed you my secret hiding place.

You joke, and reach for two small glasses from the bar and place them on the counter, pouring some for both of you. Seeing Nora bite her lip, you quickly clarify:

- There's no alcohol in it, it's just cider. - You say with a smile. - I got it in Ireland, it tastes very good. I brought it here when I graduated, because there was nothing alcohol-free to drink in this place.

Nora smiles, and reaches for the glass. You toast before taking a sip.

- Wow, that's really good. - She comments, and you smile.

You are startled when Cris and her friends join you, looking considerably more cheerful than before. But you smile, and let yourself be pulled onto the dance floor.

This is the longest you have stayed home since high school. It had been two weeks since you were back in your old room, and when Cris asked, you told her you were choosing your next destination. But you knew that it was because you didn't want to say goodbye to Nora.

When Cris said that she was going away with her friends two weeks ago, and you had the perfect excuse to ask for all her friends' numbers for safety. And it all started with a little emoji and "take care of my sister" so that you would make a habit of talking to Nora every day for the next two weeks. 

You didn't want to admit it, but you were completely hooked. When Chris came back, you were nervous about seeing Nora again, but you texted her that you would like to see her, and she called you for a date in town. You were smiling at your cell phone screen a few seconds before Chris came into the room.

- Ulala, who are you texting? - She teased, and you were startled, quickly putting the phone down and feeling your face heat up. She looked at you with amusement. - Wow, it's a girl, isn't it?

You laughed, sitting up in bed. 

- Actually I wanted to talk to you about it. - You start awkwardly, and Cris looks at you curiously, sitting down in the chair at the study table. You take a deep breath. - I'm going out with Nora.

Cris blinks in surprise.

- Nora? My friend Nora? - You nod. Cris looks in shock for a few seconds, but then she laughs. - Oh my God, I can't believe you're her mystery crush. Eva is going to love this.

- Aren't you angry?

- What? Of course not! - she says, looking excited. You feel a sense of relief wash over your body. - This is actually amazing! After Miguel and Alejandro, she seems so happy now.

You run your hand through your hair, really happy with Chris's reaction. 

- That's good to know. - You comment with a smile.

Eventually you tell her that you have been talking to Nora for the past few weeks, that you really like her, and that you are afraid that the distance will eventually separate you. Cris hopes that things will work out for both of you. 

When you leave home to meet Nora, you are relatively anxious. But you are immediately more relaxed when you see her, and she walks timidly toward you, and then hugs you tightly by the neck, while you close your eyes to enjoy the feeling.

- It's good to see you. - You comment when you two part. Nora smiles with flushed cheeks.

You spend the day walking around the city, talking about your favorite subjects. And then you walk into a library.

While Nora is distracted by the bookshelves, you are distracted by her. And she blushes and smiles when she catches you looking. You end up buying her a book of poetry, saying that you wish she had something to remember you by when you get back on the road. And then you leave the bookstore, and walk back.

- Do you already know when you are leaving? - she asks a moment later. You have your hands in your pockets as you walk beside her.

- By the weekend. - You say. - I've already found a room and a temporary job.

Nora bites her lip, keeping quiet for a moment. 

- Why do you always leave?

You blink in surprise at the question and give a sad smile.

- I really don't have a reason to stay. - You say, looking down at the ground. - My parents are fine, my brothers are graduated and well. And even Chris is already looking for an apartment with Joana. There is nothing holding me here.

You are beginning to think you said the wrong thing, because Nora stops walking and says nothing for a few seconds. And you stop walking to stand in front of her with a worried expression.

- What about us? - she asks in a low tone. And you swallow dryly. - What happens when you leave?

You feel your cheeks flush, and look away quickly.

- I would like to continue this. - You confess. - But I understand if you feel that the distance doesn't w-mmp...

Nora shuts you up with a kiss on the mouth as she advances against you. And it's sweet and gentle, and makes your whole body electrify. She pulls away quickly, though, as if to confirm that everything is okay. And when you see her, her eyes dark, you bring your mouths together again, now kissing properly.

- Don't go - She asks breathlessly between kisses. You smile against her lips when you agree.

When you drive her home, you hold hands all the way there. And on the same day you look for a job in Barcelona.

Since Carlos has decided to ruin his reputation this last month, I thought I would update this post I made back in 2018 explaining why he’s a bit of a fascist.

I will give some context so it’s easier to understand the spanish political climate, so this post will be quite long, sorry about that!

The political parties he mainly supports are Ciudadanos (C’s) and Partido Popular (PP). PP has always been the default conservative/right wing party in Spain, but on the recent years we’ve had a few more parties show up in the political climate, between them are C’s, which will always claim they’re a “centrist” neoliberal party, but that’s a complete lie because in the last elections they’ve decided to only make deals with conservative parties and have only positioned themselves to the right. They’ve turned into the default right wing/fash party for young people who don’t want to admit they’re sexist, racist and classist because that sounds bad, basically. C’s has also done deals with VOX, just straight up fascism, so I’ll let you make your own conclusions from that. 

How do I know he supports these parties? Cause he follows them. Oh, Trump too, btw. Las time I pointed this out I did have people tell me that “following *insert right wing politician* doesn’t mean that he agrees with them”. Fair enough, it doesn’t. But let’s be honest here, if he only follows right wing politicians, right wing newspapers (El Español) and “troll” accounts that spend every day making sexist, LGBTphobic and racist jokes (Colmenero), doesn’t that sound quite shady? He also keeps liking tweets from right wingers. 

The next thing and what, for me at least, is worst than this is how over the top nationalist/patriot he is. He has the spanish flag  E V E R Y W H E R E. Even he’s dogs have a collar with the flag.

Now, I don’t know if this is only a thing in Spain or what, but to put it simple: Using the spanish flag is the most clear sing one can see to know if someone is a fascist or not in Spain. This flag has ALWAYS been linked to fascism. I have yet to meat someone non-fascist who has the spanish flag hanged in their balconies, or wearing it as a bracelet, etc. 

You know how all the trump supporters in twitter now have the US flag emoji in their names? That’s the same in Spain but worse. 

To put two of those pics above into context:

The one where he’s posing with Fernando he got quite a lot of shit from spanish people for what I just explained. He came out to say he “didn’t have anything to be ashamed of and was proud of his country”. Right at that same time, people in Catalonia were being beaten up in the streets by the police simply because they wanted to vote for their independence. People went to jail (and still are in jail) for purely political reasons. Five men who gang raped a girl were on trial and almost got free because Spain is just like that. Is that the right time to come out and say you’re proud of your country? 

The dog picture.  All I’ll say about this one is that “Día de la Hispanidad” is Columbus Day. Ironically, I’ve also seen this day referred to as “Day of the Race/Heritage” quite a few times. 

I’ll also explain the reason why I’m updating this post now just in case there’s someone who still hasn’t caught up.

Last month Estrella Galicia did a PR “event” where they asked the athletes they sponsor to tell a funny anecdote that’s happened to them. The rest of the people just told harmless stories, but Carlos decided that his “funny” anecdote” was that one time he went to China, a friend of his recommended him to go to a chinese restaurant, but when Carlos and his team got there, this chinese restaurant, in China, was “too chinese”, unlike those you’d find in Europe. They saw a cat get inside the kitchen, but not come out again, so Carlos joked about how he thinks “they ate cat meat”. Because we all know all people in China do is eat cats and dogs. 

I also thought I’ll add a bit more info about Carlos Sainz dad because he’s worse than his son, and will just straight up associate himself with Vox, the fascist party I mentioned earlier.

They seem to have taken a liking to him, because they keep congratulating Sainz on social media when he wins something.

day 11 & 12

With Festa in full swing last week, I feel like I didn’t have a chance to breathe let alone sit down long enough to articulate a review worthy of Day 11. I shall endeavor to do my very best to make up for that here. And, upon reading the start of Day 12, I am actually kinda glad I waited because I think that it gave me time to put both chapters into perspective. 

Day 11 was a very emotional one for Jungkook and I feel like we got to see those emotions coming to a head in this chapter. On the whole, Day 11 was such a fun, lowkey entry that I wasn’t really sure if I would have anything coherent to offer beyond high pitched squealing accompanied by the occasional swoon and cooing. But after seeing the tension and subsequent squabble that transpired at the breakfast table on Day 12, I see that perhaps there was more to ruminate concerning the feelings that Jungkook had experienced in the confessional booth. It’s so interesting from a writers perspective that you chose Jungkook to be the one to reiterate the whole point of the show; he’s younger, thus perhaps conventionally he’s a bit more emotionally immature than the rest of the guys. And yet, from the beginning, none of these guys have ever been portrayed as stereotypical or conventional; you have always expertly reminded the audience that each of the contestants (including our lady!) is more much complex than what meets the eye. It’s one of the things that I love so much about this series; none of the characters are ever “too perfect” and it’s those candid moments of vulnerability or weakness that truly makes this story stand out from a lot of other stories that I read. So to choose Jungkook as the person to make those “bold” comments and to have Namjoon be the one to call him out for being insensitive makes me feel like Jungkook’s response was much more complex than what it seems at glance. Like, it’s pretty obvious that Jungkook likes and respects our lady and perhaps he realized his indiscretion just a little to late but now he’s put on the spot, he’s been called out in front of everyone, and beyond the fact that he probably feels like shit for saying what he said and inadvertently hurting our lady in the process. He’s probably also hella embarrassed. I wonder too if maybe Jungkook is also ashamed that the person who called him out was Namjoon, someone who I want to believe, he respects and perhaps maybe admires a little. And despite the fact that I chuckled a little bit when our lady noticed that Jungkook was “staring at his pancakes like he’s trying to make them burst into flames”, I realized that he might also be both angry and disappointed in himself for his behavior. *sigh* Boy, you were so right all those weeks ago when you said “emotions are messy”. Anyway, that’s my roundabout way of saying, I liked the breakfast scene. Haha! Drama is inevitable; I love that you don’t shy away from presenting conflict for them to overcome. It offers opportunities for character growth and character exploration and I really appreciate that! 

Speaking of character growth, Namjoon got a chance to really flex those skills he acquired from “Hoseok’s School of Sexual Prowess”. That scene left me melting! Melting, I say! I’m not sure if you noticed but I make it a point to not reveal who my actual bias is in these reviews because I feel like I want to give all of the guys a chance to win me over for fan favorite. What I will say though is that you kind of hit on a lot of my personal preferences with Namjoon’s scene. Beyond the fact that the scene was really, really hawt, it fulfilled me on an emotionally intimate level, so it made the scene extra special. Bravo! 

And I suppose Jimin also deserves a standing ovation for that amazing show he put on. Holy smokes that was so hot. From the light banter and quips at the beginning of that scene to Jimin actually owning that entire lounge! And as amazing as the show (plus subsequent private scene with our lady afterwards) was, my favorite bit might be the exchange between Jimin and Hoseok, another scene that filled with tension and new revelations! It might actually be the most fascinating scene because it gave a glimpse at something rather unexpected; something has transpired between Hoseok and Jimin. I might be reading too much into the exchange but it feels as though something has happened away from the cameras between them. Because it feels like there has been a shift from blatant hostility between these two to something more akin to a genuine understanding that this is now a battle for power and control. I could be reaching but I feel like, at the very least, there have been words exchanged between them! It made the scene all the more intriguing! I loved every moment of it. Oh! Speaking of which, what is up with Jin?! When Yoongi asked Jin to speak to Kookie about what had happened that morning, it seemed he was a bit apprehensive to take up the task. I know that there might not be anything more there than just the fact that Jin might not want to be the one to have to broach the subject with Kookie but I feel like there’s more there than what meets the eye as well… my theory is in it’s fetus stage though, so I feel like I’ll hold back on my thoughts concerning Jin for now. And Yoongi, for that matter! I feel like there is something more there as well. AH! Too many theories to juggle! I will let you know what my thoughts are about it once I have gathered more adequate information. 

I still feel guilty for not being able to give you a full length review of Day 11. It really was such a great, light day. Jungkook’s scene left me all hot and bothered to the point where I spent the entirety of the week, searching up Jungkook smut fics to fulfill my Jungkook fix that that chapter evoked in me! Not to mention that the boys getting up to antics for a whiteboard that in the end they didn’t really need just made me all the more baffled by their behavior. It was fun, hilarious and just what I would expect from the guys.

To make up for not having anything for last week, I would like to take the opportunity to tell you about me loving this amazing story so much I nearly force-fed my best friend to read it with me so that I would have someone to fangirl with. Let me tell you a little bit about her. See, she doesn’t consume fanfics with as much verocity as I do. She is a very casual fanfic reader and if she does (which is rare in it of itself) she only ever reads MxM. Period. So when I told her the premises of “The Gentlemen” she was curious enough to read the contestant profiles. But I must say, from Day 1, you had her HOOKED! She would text me screenshots and emoji filled fangirlings in the wee hours of the morning (the only time she had to read at all) every single thing she loved about each chapter and it brings me so much joy that she was really dissecting and appreciating all the little things that I too loved about your story! We would have long, deep discussions about her prompt theories, her favorite members, tiny details that you’ve so expertly woven into the story (like Jimin’s tattoo for example, which is something she is obsessed with, btw) all of her favorite traits that our lady of the house has. It’s been so blissfully fun having this to share with her especially since I have her to thank for getting me into BTS in the first place. So, please know that you have a secret fan of “The Gentlemen” who would like you to know that she has been enjoying herself thoroughly and that she looks forward to your updates just as much as I do now! 

Anyhoo, I think I’ve prattled on long enough. Thank you so much for your continued hard work and dedication to this series! This was such an amazing chapter I cannot wait to see how everything unfolds; it feel as though these last 2 chapters have planted some major seeds (no pun intended!!); I look forward to see what it sows in the coming days. 💜 Jan

i’m not ashamed (okay, maybe a little) to admit that i kinda teared up and did a happy lil dance when i saw the email that you’d sent in a submission fksdjfkds i figured you’d probably been busy with life or with the mountainloads of content bighit is giving us these days so i was content to wait patiently, and it just made it that much more exciting when i saw this come in !

thank you, as always, for being so sweet and articulate and thoughtful in your reviews of the chapters. often you point out things that make so much sense that perhaps i hadn’t even noticed when writing. other times you hit an idea that i’d slipped in right on the nose. 

jungkook definitely is having a pretty tumultuous time on the show. for him, i imagine he feels like he’s the only one having a difficult time ironing out his feelings, or that if anyone else is struggling too, that they’re acting like nothing’s up. i also feel like jungkook’s competitive streak comes through in unexpected ways. of course he feels proud of his sexual prowess and kinda wants to showboat a little bit, but i think there’s an aspect too where he needs to be the one that’s always bolder than the others to assert his position. writing the namkook scene i kind of drew on that feeling where you’re fighting with someone you care about or think highly of, and even as you realise you’re wrong, you don’t want them to think badly of you and so you desperately scramble for a way to come out on top or prove you’re in the right. there’s also def a degree of him trying to convince himself the show is just about sex and that the rest doesn’t matter. he certainly doesn’t feel that way inside, but we see him vouching from that position so fiercely in d12. 

i’m glad you liked the namjoon scene !! one day i’ll figure out your bias fkdsjfksdjk you do such a good job at analysing and discussing everyone equally that it’s difficult >.<

it’s so fascinating to hear your jihope theory that they’ve spoken before. i must keep my silence on the details BUT there will be a very important scene between them coming up in the next few days of the show that i think will really change things between them and also how the readers see them. i’m super excited to write it ! 

beyond that, i’m happy you noticed something about jin in this chapter.... yn and jin still haven’t resolved their issues yet, plus here we are having jin not respond that well to being asked to counsel one of the members, something he always stated he was happy to do,,,,, hmmmm 0.0

You know what’s ironic? I’ve actually been writing a lot of fic lately. My kiddo has gotten to the age where once she’s asleep for the night I’ve got a few hours to myself, and I’ve probably written about 40k of fic over the last couple of months.

The issue is that I’m writing a lot but not actually finishing anything, lol. I started a Drarry fic, got about 8k in, and stopped. Started a fic for Critical Role, did about 10k and made a moodboard, stopped again. Just this week I started and have written about 15k of an ATLA fic.

Maybe I’ll be able to publish something soon, but for now I’m basically shrug-emoji.
