There is not a single human in existence that can convince me that Hugo and Eugene don’t end up becoming brothers.

They hate each other at first, which is understandable because Eugene is Eugene and Hugo keeps antagonizing him (and Gene isn’t over the piano incident yet.)

But after awhile, and maybe after one life changing and life threatening adventure where they bond, Eugene adopts him as a second little brother.

They still hate eachother, but it’s a playful hatred.

Hugo still antagonizes him though, but it is not nearly as malicious and Eugene no longer wants to strangle him or put him in the stocks and throw moldy tomatoes at him.

i rlly think that ppl are gonna be happier with this purgatory arc in the next few days when the players get bulked up a little more. they’re still getting used to new survival mechanics and there’s rlly powerful mobs around and their gear isn’t good enough just yet but i think once the teams have grinded a bit more they’ll be less frustrated bc they won’t be dying constantly and that’ll make viewers less frustrated too. there’s no getting around the frustration from a lot of ppls lore being cut off but the fact is that this arc will only be 2 weeks and the players aren’t going to be suffering as much as they have the first few days. i’m excited to see where this goes and i’m so ready for the pvp guys to have some star moments

I mean, it’s established that Athena and Poseidon hate each other’s guts, and I’m certain Percabeth stepping over their parents’ grudge to be together is a thing in the story.

And while Hades and Apollo don’t technically have anything against each other (Hades hates everyone on principle but that’s not the point), they do represent opposite concepts and whatnot. Again, that results in a… paradoxically resonating (?) effect in Nico and Will’s dynamic, and they end up happy together, too, after all.

Anyway this post is to say that I believe Athena and Poseidon still have that air of tension and they let it out by subtly compete over the smallest things, whereas Hades is grossed out by Apollo, who refuses to pass any chance of flaunting the word in-law in his face. (And jealous bc Persephone ignores him in favor of her brother when Apollo comes to visit)
