Sagau w/ an impostor would be so simple with me because the characters can easily tell the fake apart from the real
Mostly because the fake would probably be graceful n shit
Meanwhile the real one keeps picking up every single sweet flower, wandering around to random places and quietly walking past sleeping hilichurls because it'd be rude to wake them up!
Like the characters would have to put up w/ me cooing at the sleeping, snoring hilichurls 😭 like no way am I waking them up
No but really, I can't even ambush the sleeping once, if I need to kill them I at least wake them up before the fight akdhsksj
the thing is that the characters don’t really know what the (creator?) is like, so even if you and the imposter were entirely different people, it’d be difficult to see who’s real and who’s fake because, well, they don’t know you as a person. in fact, because the fake is so graceful and all, people would be more likely to think that they’re the real one.
though because i’m a sucker for drama, i think there’d be factions throughout teyvat, rallying behind you or the fake. some believe that the fake is real simply because they’re more elegant and ‘god-like’ in appearance, so to speak, all intimidating presence and authoritative voice. others believe you’re the real one because only the true god would be so in tune with nature and compassionate with all living beings, benevolent and empathetic and all the good parts that make you human. tho the humanity you have also serves as a double edged sword because it places you down the pedestal of what they think a god should be.
among the archons, the ones i see rallying behind you are venti and nahida. as for the imposter, it’d be zhongli and ei. (though i imagine zhongli would soon see through the fake simply because of how old and knowledgable he is.)
also, you’re a better person than me anon bc i don’t discriminate between sleeping and awake hilichurls. if i see one, i’m immediately throwing hands.

i had a friend who was raped as a teenager and had a really strict mum who did not let her go out so she was really lonely. when she turned 18 she started going clubbing and since we live in a city with a big fetish scene, she started going to the kinky venue. since she was young, naive and very pretty, she was immediately roped in by older men who did bondage shootings with her and everything. she started working in the club. to me, she was clearly groomed, but she works in a fetish shop now and is fully immersed in the scene
i have a friend who answered a job ad for a secretary when she was abroad and she and her friend ran out of money but when they arrived there it was a brothel. they both prostituted themselves for several months. they were only 18. she still talks highly of that brothel, how clean and safe it was, and wants prostitution to be legal
i read the gut wrenching biography of a thai woman who ran away from home, whose parents refused her education and treated her brother very preferably while openly hating her, and entered prostitution in sex tourist destination pattaya at only 13. she was paid by men in their 50s first for her virginity, then to piss on her. she exited at 19 and developed psychosis. she defends sex buyers, hates feminists and wants prostitution to be legal
do you see where im going with this? brainwashing is real. despite the obvious facts, the grooming, the system that pushed and pulled them, the men taking advantage of them; they defend it. so yeah, we shouldnt dismiss firsthand testimony and personal experience, but always take it with a grain of salt, always contextualise, always see it as one part of a bigger picture. liberals dont do that and have duped too many people into not doing it either. „if thats her choice its none of our business“ fuck you!

Oblivion has the weirdest aesthetic choices going on. Everything is super bright and saturated, the characters look silly and almost bordering on cartoonish, and the voice acting and delivery tends to be pretty silly. The whole things has such a strong classic fantasy vibe compared to the other tes games, but also there's a bunch of realistic gore and rotting corpses and really dark questlines with gross visuals (for the quality of those visuals). it's such a weird game.

There's a lot of posts out there reminding people that they don't have to respond to every stupid post they see but I feel like it's worth saying that you also don't have to finish reading the post once you've realized it's stupid. Easily one of my favorite things about the internet is the ability to get like two sentences into a post and go "actually I think you're wrong" and then just stop reading.

actually jeff and britta are fucking great together okay. they're both terribly emotionally immature and the definition of toxic. i hate them so much. they base their entire personality on the way others perceive them (britta wants to be seen as good person, jeff wants to be seen as cool) but when push comes to shove they always back each other up. they're both losers and fucking pathetic and they have the two most fragile egos in the whole group. they're absolutely ridiculous, they can never feel compassion or empathy in a natural way and they're actually awful fucking people. i love them so much. i need them to be together forever but in a quarantine sort of situation

I dearly love you, tumblr, but sometimes you're just absolutely exhausting. Not every statement is a personal challenge that needs to be countered aggressively. Sometimes I'm neither being bold nor assuming anything.

“What really drew me to it was what Rupert Sanders wanted to do with it. He wanted to completely reimagine the story and the character and tailor it towards a modern audience.” - Bill Skarsgård about The Crow remake x
Then it's not 'The Crow', is it?! Get out of here with your Pete Davidson meets Jared Leto's Joker, wannabe Constantine crap. Tell me you completely missed the point of the original without telling me you completely missed the point of the original. The Crow (1994) honored the spirit and intent of the graphic novels, rather than reimagining them.
The original was simultaneously over the top and exquisitely subtle, the character development was brilliant, and the writing was spectacular. There are no substitutions for the 1994 original, no I will not be taking any questions.

I remember people cringing about trans people getting tattoos of the chemical makeup of testosterone/estrogen or their hormone start dates, and I was looking at some of those tattoos, and honestly, they are so incredibly cool and unique and frankly beautiful. It's cool to get tattoos of important or life-changing moments in your life. It's cool to make your body a canvas to paint, a temple to decorate, a place to live.

Oh, and another thing about fandom culture atm. People do know that they can just... Ignore what actors, directors, even writers and creators say, yeah? They may have their own reasonings about why characters do what they do, how they feel internally etc. But they're just their own thoughts. You can ignore them. You don't need to take them as gospel. The only thing that really matters is what's presented on-screen, and you're free to interpret it yourself and come to your own conclusions. You don't need to take someone else's opinion as gospel. If it's not explicitly shown or stated, you can ignore it.
