Finished Holden’s Griffin GRF-2N, so I guess it’s time to work on six UrbanMechs so the whole crew can get in on the Urbie Derby, and then…? No idea on the Rocinante Company front, but I do need to paint Drummer’s Marauder II and get her a lance.

Hello there sagau brain rot like in many sagau versions reader/creator are often to soft to kind to my taste and then Idea comes to my head what if creator reader shows his cruler uncaring side to the pepole he truly hates or thinks deserve thier wrath like I can image that in place of raiden shogun the creator kills Singniora after begin defeated by traveler, azar the grand sage after whole begin in that day loop, and scaramouche when he had audacity to think that by begin inside giant mech he is now a God becose even if the creator is the kindest begin in tevyat.....his wrath has no bounds
@zardas75 welcome back to my very dead mailbox LOL—Let me see what I can come up with with your brainrot.
I don't fully get the Raiden Shogun vs Signora part, so I'm going to (unfortunately) not include that in this post.
The Creator Being Moody Fr (Jkjk—Unless? 👀)
(Disclaimer: Might Be OOC & Spoilers to the Genshin Impact Archon Quest Lore!)
Boy oh boy...where to begin...
To put it simply: It's Azar's Fault. Blame and point your fingers to the rusty old man, bois, we ain't forgiving him any time soon. It all started with him.
The moment you saw him in the Archon Quest, you knew, without even needing the slightest hint of evidence, that you did not like him and he was sus.
And when things escalated throughout the Archon Quest, you swore so loudly it shook the entire nation of Sumeru, if not all of Teyvat.
Here were Some of the Sumeru People's Reactions:
Cyno
He finished his confrontation with Azar and was waiting outside when you swore like your life depended on it. During his entire time being under your presence, Cyno was aware of how much you hated the guy—every moment you had gotten, you were seething and spouting insults from your mouth about Azar.
Even the General Mahamatra was stunned and shocked to the very core. He didn't you could and would do this.
And when you made it clear that your tantrum was yet to end, Cyno just braced himself for the fate of Sumeru to be in your hands.
"At least Azar is truly facing the wrathful judgement of the gods..." he mutters to himself, trying to convince himself of the situation at hand.
(Meanwhile You in the background: "YOU MF HOW DARE YOU. HOW DARE YOUUUU I WILL F—KING KILL YOU IF YOU CONTINUE THIS YOU SON OF A B—")
Scaramouche & Nahida
(Decided to add them both here since It's the False God Fight. This is kinda for the sake of convenience—)
Nahida never knew such intense emotion could ever erupt from Their High, Almighty Grace, and here you are, cursing and insulting Scaramouche. It wasn't as bad as Azar's, since you weren't throwing in any "I will have your head by morning" or anything similar threats, but it was still pretty intense.
Scaramouche, on the other hand, has heard you yelling at the old man Azar, and he already been yelled at for—quote on quote—"killing Teppei" (REST IN PEACE, TEPPEI 😭), so he knows what your wrath was like.
He did not like it then, and he still doesn't like it now. That much was a solid fact. Nevertheless, he has an image to uphold, especially in front of that Buer.
"Their Almighty Grace is really mad..." Nahida thought as they were confronting Scaramouche. (Cue you in the background still insulting Azar) "And it seems they won't be forgiving Azar anytime soon..."
"So, Their Grace still hasn't let go of their grudge against me..." Scaramouche mutters to himself once he was out of the view of Their Almighty Grace in his mecha. "Tch. Whatever...I'll make them see my true potential one I've squashed these insects."
Dehya
She knew you were explosive. She's seen it happen by the way you were cheering to beat Rahman's ass and "save the kid's grandpa!"
She knew you were pretty emotional on behalf of them. She's pretty happy and honored about that—that means Teyvat meant a lot to you.
What she was not expecting was to hear you curse and scream at Azar at the top of your lungs, as if that was the only enjoyment you were able to indulge yourself in.
You sounded murderous, and yet here you were, just yelling. Dehya would've shrugged it off, since she understood getting things out of your system was good, but she was not expecting the world to shake with your voice.
She looks over at Rahman. "You think Their Grace is handling this well?" "Probably not...Hard to say, Dehya." "Well, we'll just have to wait it out, then. They'll get it out of their system...eventually..."
Dehya was not expecting to wait until after beating the False God for it to be truly over. Gosh, that was scary...
Tighnari
He sensed that you didn't like Azar the moment you saw him, and frankly, he's pretty glad you don't trust him too. What he wasn't expecting was your explosive personality.
For all the stories about the Almighty Creator's kind and gentle nature, you were ANYTHING but. And you were proving it HARD.
Tighnari thought he heard it all when he got struck by lightning. Boy, was he wrong, because you just one-upped his expectations with the amount of cussing, cursing, threats, and insults you were hurtling in one go, streaming out of your mouth like you were running a marathon with your words.
So here he was, waiting in some form of dread in Pardis Dhyai, waiting if you were going to strike down the Akademiya with your godly might.
"I hope they don't accidentally blow up all of Sumeru..." he mutters to himself as he prays to all the archons that the nation wouldn't be turned into water or something.
Alhaitham
He should have taken account of your behaviour to the plan. You did play a crucial part. That was the sole mistake he overlooked.
Then again...it didn't seem like you were doing anything other than yelling at Azar...So perhaps the plan wouldn't change all that much.
He should keep in mind of how reactive you are, though. You...remind of his roommate sometimes...
"Hm. It seems Their Grace has yet to let Azar go of their scandal." He says it so calmly as he waits in Aaru Village. Candace stands a few feet away, looking unsure of what was going on—and probably praying that Their Almighty Grace won't strike down Sumeru in their anger against the rogue Grand Sage.
And let's not talk about the Traveler or Paimon. Those two are both used to it and still terrified. But they're okay with you dw 👍

Long caption warning 💀

PLEASE. Ignore my spelling errors I’m so tired.
*cracks knuckles* Alright, some people on Instagram asked for this and so now I will share. (Angst warning pssshhh)
My timeline for my F!Donnie (starting just before CJ was introduced):
- Over the years, Donnie would join in battles, mostly providing long range defense, all the while blasting his tunes on full blast
- But that changed when he got Krang’d right to his head, Mikey was able to remove the infection, but this caused Don’s eyesight to become quite poor (and for him to not trust himself in combat afterwards.)
- After that incident, Donnie became absolutely fascinated with Krang tech and biology, subconsciously wondering if he could replicate that raw “power” he’d felt when the Krang was infecting him, and if he could control it, understand it.
- He didn’t like that, but over time he felt it was necessary to beating the Krang. “Keep your friends close, and keep your enemies closer” type deal
- So Donnie becomes “the guy in the chair” (oh yeah he also rebuilt Shelldon. Finally. </3)
- Cj was born, Cassandra had fallen in battle only a few months later, leaving the turtles and April to fully take care of CJ
- While Leo, being the leader, took on most of the responsibility, Donnie got to spend more time with CJ as a result of staying at their base more
- Donnie LOVED being around CJ, he would teach CJ everything he knew, even if CJ didn’t quite understand him yet. He even let CJ hang around in his lab, (as long as he touched NOTHING.) Donnie even upgraded Cassandra’s hockey stick and mask then gave them to CJ
- only a few years later had Raph fallen as well
- Donnie felt as if it was partially his fault Raph couldn’t get out alive, and so he begrudgingly quit his role as “the guy in the chair,” dedicating all of his time to his inventions
- He became MUCH more reclusive, leaving everyone in the dark about what (and how) he was doing. To CJ, he was more of a “presence” rather than an uncle now
- He then revealed his new invention, the Raph mech (Don has the shittiest coping skills known to man)
- Another couple years pass, Don still using all of his time to conduct his “experiments”
- Around this time, Leo had lost his arm. Donnie reconfigured one of his Raph mech’s arms to fit Leo to use as a prosthetic, the Raph mech was later decommissioned
- One day, Donnie oddly insisted on tagging along on a mission with Leo and Mikey
- HOLY MOLY LONG STORY SHORT, they get caught by a Krang soldier on their mission. But instead of taking cover, Donnie charges straight for the Krang mech
- Mikey and Leo watch in astonishment as Donnie manages to swiftly climb up onto the Krang mech and mount himself on its back, using his battle shell’s limbs for support
- To their horror, Donnie rips off his gloves and reveals his robotic arms, and starts tearing into the back of the mech, digging into the inside of it
- He deploys the wires and his own Krang biomass from his robotic arms, and shoves it all into the back of the Krang mech
- For a few moments, he struggles. Then, with purple glowing markings, his expression suddenly changes and the opening where the Krang soldier was mounted closed up, crushing the Krang inside
-ok so longer story shorter- through all of the struggle, the Krang he’d trapped in his prosthetic arms had been creeping onto him and was soon to make contact with his skin. And the building they were all in starts to collapse, (and when I say “building” I mean a giant NY style skyscraper,) and in an effort to save Mikey and Leo from being crushed, Donnie holds up what rubble he can with the now possessed mech, getting himself crushed, unable to hold up all the weight forever.
(But not before an epic and heartfelt monologue and musical number.)
Good god I’m so EMBARRASSING
I wish. I could wright fanfiction.
Goodbye now 🏃💨

〔 DEMO (COMING SOON!) 〕 〔 CHARACTERS 〕〔 PLAYLIST 〕
Rated 18+ for violence and sexual content. Trigger warnings will be provided at the beginning of each chapter.
Twenty-seven years ago, the Giants woke up. Behemoth machines powered by AI machine learning, they destroyed much of the infrastructure of the world in a period known as The Fall. Humanity retreated to walled Cities -- first Kowloon, then others. And then Rider happened. A shining star in a half-formed mech, Rider beat back the Giants and became humanity's first and greatest hope. Then they died. And now there's you -- a carbon copy ten years later, built from a smattering of cells to kill the Giants and set the Cities free, an exact replica of the Rider the world knew and loved. You are one link in a chain of fallen soldiers. Cannon fodder, in smooth, pretty, porcelain white mechs. The white knights of the globe. They named you Fury. You're about to prove them right.
〔 FEATURES 〕
Customizable MC. Play as male, female, or non-binary; trans or cisgender; customizable pronouns.* Customize your appearance.
An angry clone. The anger keeps you alive, sure -- but what about the rest of you? Is your anger calm or explosive? Do you prefer to solve problems with violence or words? Do you meet problems head on, or work around them?
Who was Rider to you? Someone to look up to? A rival? A messiah?
Romance!! Or not!!!! Two romance options. Play as gay, straight, bisexual, or asexual; aro or alloromantic.
Get in the robot, Fury. Pilot your mech, DANIEL, and fight giant robots on the post-apocalyptic Great Plains. Exploit their weaknesses as rogue AI -- or just beat them into paste.
〔 ROMANCE OPTIONS 〕
Lane Black Kettle. [They/them] An Off-Gridder raised in surprisingly pleasant post-apocalyptia, Lane is in City 17 possibly illegally -- and definitely has a warrant out for their arrest. They can show you the nitty gritty underbelly of City 17, and a unique perspective on life outside the Walls. You just have to let each other in. Flavor of romance: The Outsider, enemies to lovers, snark as a love language.
Matthew "Mattie" Sorenson. [He/him] A computer genius whose obsession with the Giants tends to put people off, bug his overwhelming charisma and jovial nature reel them in again. Mattie wants to fix humanity's mistakes -- and you will help him. Flavor of romance: The Insider, competing egos, saving the world (and each other)
〔 OTHER DRAMATIS PERSONAE 〕
Luka Marik. [He/him] Your creator, the Alpha and Omega -- and a sad little man. Originally the creator of the mechs used to fight the Giants, Rider's death has left him with one purpose -- to bring them back to life.
Rider. [He/him or she/her] Begone, foul spirit, and let me not mourn you! Your genetic template, messianic savior of humanity, tragically killed in action ten years ago. Haunter of your narrative, very much against your will.
*Although many characters assume Fury is cis, the player will have several opportunities as the story progresses to transition -- including changing Fury's pronouns and aspects of their gender expression. Fury's transition will be a major plot point, if the player so chooses.

Y/n was busy at work, rushing back 'n forth between different groups of truckers. The dinner was packed when midnight rolled around at a snail's speed, Y/n was slammed with work and slow all at once. Even at the late hour the dinner was hectic, despite it and the truck stop now the only business open. Y/n rushed to get done, attempting to be polite to the last few of her tables, but it mostly came off as exhausted contempt. Her tips by the end of the night were abysmal. But finally she could leave, strolling through the truck stop first.
Y/n walked up and down the few isles, idly singing What's love got to do with it. At the counter Y/n left the cash for her goods and waved the only other worker off. However Y/n didn't notice the eyes watching her as she walked out into the small parking lot. The small area was only lit by two yellowing street lights, there were only a handful of cars in the lot; all old looking and dirty. Not very distinctive considering she didn't know what the other bots' alt modes are. Ultimately Y/n went to each car and tried to examine them, but the dim light did not help her.
Until she came to the end of the line where a mismatched Porsche 911 sat, Y/n peered around, having a sense of unease settled on her, but there was no one. So she scanned the smaller car for anything of significance. Feeling ridiculous she stopped at the hood, a small trickle of light was hitting the car, it was just enough to see the all too familiar Autobot emblem in the center on the hood. A wash of relief hit her.
“Oh thank god.” Y/n sighed with a breath of relief, nearly collapsing onto the hood. A soft hand gliding over the small emblem as she drifts in her thoughts, her thumb circling and running over the small symbol, converting every detail to memory. So lost in thought she didn't register the engine igniting beneath her touch, nor the two men standing behind her.
“Hey there lil'thang.” One of the burley men said while trying to grab Y/n's arm. Surprised, Y/n whipped around pulling her arm from the man's grip, nearly shrieking out. She ended up with her butt and lower back pressed against the hood. Before she could speak or move the second man took a step closer, “Is this your car sugar?” Both men were intimidating, Y/n recognized them from the dinner, they'd tried to grab at her then too.
Y/n's heart was pounding in her chest, but she held what little composer she had left. “Y-yeah it is.” Her tone was confident, but she still stuttered.
“Lookin a little beat up, you fixin it yourself?” The first man was closer now, leaning in more than appropriate. The fake polite conversation had Y/n's skin crawling.
“Yes, it's Nevada, hard to get parts,” Y/n spoke through her bile, each word coming with a bite to it. Y/n however took the opportunity to slide over the hood, her work skirt hiking up ever so slightly, revealing just enough of her legs; the two men moved forward again. “But I've got it handled.” In a rush Y/n slid over the hood and headlight, back stepping to the door, a clammy hand groping the handle; internally pleading they'd let her in.
The two men moved around the front of the car, attempting to close in on Y/n, when the door suddenly opened. Y/n wasted no time climbing into the driver seat, the door slammed shut, the engine roaring fully to life before speeding forward; intentionally almost hitting the two men as the Porsche sped off into the desert.
Not a few miles out and Y/n breathed a deep shaky sign, harshly rubbing her hands over her arms. “Thank you.” Y/n's voice was small, but full of gratitude.
Mirage was silent a bit, the whole experience leaving a bitter taste on his golassa. The fear, anger and relief Y/n went through in less then five minutes had the mech rapidly speeding in an unknown direction, the sand he was whipping up left large clouds in his wake. But hearing that same wash of emotions in Y/n's voice despite her being far from the situation had him slowing down to a near crawl.
“It’s alright.” Mirage's voice came out from his radio, gentle and soft despite the anger in his spark. “I'm sorry…” The mech trailed off, uncertain of what or how to say what he wanted. Y/n smiled warmly at his radio, that unique tenderness returning to her expression.
“It’s okay. Thank you though, it means more than I can say.” Y/n sighed again, but it was more like she was pushing the rest of those negative thoughts and emotions out. “But I don't want to dwell on it.” She said finally but her smile and the light hearted way she taped his dash hinted towards her now relaxed demeanor. Mirage still felt revved up, but listened to her nonetheless.
A beat of silence fell on them, Mirage internally stuck in his slowly dissipating frustration, as if Y/n could see into his helm, she pulled him from his thoughts. “Mirage,” She started, her voice was sweet but mischievous, but to Mirage, his name on her lips lit something in his spark he wasn't prepared for. “Would you like to go to the track tunnels?” Her tone mocked innocence.
Mirage recognized this knowing himself well, “Depending on what that exactly is?” He said mimicking Y/n's tone.
Y/n failed at stifling a giggle. “It's an abandoned half constructed highway. It's used as a racetrack by pretty much anyone in town under 30.” Y/n rolled her eyes at her one words. “It's a good place to blow off steam, but it's still early in the night so you probably can't transform.” She was hopeful the idea would interest the mech, vehemently not wanting to go home just yet.
Mirage paused for a minute, pretending to think it over, but when he made a sharp turn, causing Y/n to slide in the drive seat, joyfully shrinking out in a fit of laughter; they both knew where they were headed.
However Y/n was correct in the assumption that there would be people at the track, several teenagers with their souped-up cars racing around, other small clumps in the tunnels gathered together drinking and partying the night away. But quickly Y/n and Mirage found comfort and release in speeding through the tunnels and around the makeshift concrete track, even making a few rogue jumps here and there. But after a few hours their racing rampage was cut short by Sam and Chromia.
Mirage was rounding a turn, Y/n cheering him on from the driver seat, the two speeding into the longest tunnel for the hundredth time that night when Chromia pulled up behind them with Sam in her driver's seat.
Through the radio Sam called out, “What the hell are you two doing? You were supposed to be back hours ago.” In moments like this he sounded like Charlie.
Y/n's eyes widened for a split second at the radio before she twisted around to see Sam and Chromia a bit behind them, even with Mirage's alt mode being less than perfect, he was still faster. “I had a long day Sam, come on.” She whined at them, despite it being true.
“Yeah Sam, come on.” Mirage mimicked, dramatizing Y/n's tone, effectively teasing her, as her response was to playfully smack the dashboard.
“Not helping Mirage.” Chromia was sturn, “Let's get back.” But similar to Sam it disappeared quickly, finding enjoyment in the late night drive.
In the end Sam and Chromia decided not to tell by wager of a race back to the Bunker. Mirage and Y/n won. The Bunker was dead quiet when they arrived, Sam and Chromia parting ways soon after, leaving Mirage and Y/n in the main 'hanger'.
“That was great.” Y/n said breathlessly, her cheeks dusted red and a bright smile plastered to her lips.
Mirage felt warm all over, something about this night, about her, had him charged up and peaceful all at once. And seeing Y/n punch drunk on adrenaline wasn't helping. “Yeah that was. I haven't gotten to move like that in cycles!” However Mirage didn't feel like he was containing his energy.
Y/n stared up at him, taking a quick moment to really take the mech in, his sterling cerulean optics captivating her. “We should do it again, soon.” Y/n felt emboldened by the rush and pending crash of adrenaline, “But I gotta sleep before my legs give out,” Y/n had started walking backwards towards her room as she spoke, “Goodnight, Mirage.” Y/n spoke a little slower, emphasizing his name, but what made the mech's spark burn was the coy wink and the persing of her lips before she spun on her heel and disappeared into her room; leaving Mirage standing dumbfounded in the hanger.
“Forward for a human.” Mirage thought while he hummed to himself. He watched her bedroom door for a moment, replaying the night in his helm, he smiled to himself, “Goodnight, Y/n.” His voice was quiet, but somewhere he hoped she'd heard him.
— —
Several weeks had passed since that night, in that time Mirage came up with every excuse to spend time with Y/n, whether it be taking her to or from work, or sneaking off during patrols to the track, he couldn't get enough of her. And she was equally as smitten, but neither could find it in themselves, or the "right time" to say as much to each other. However they still had their awkward moments, where even from space their feelings for each other could be seen.
It came to ahead the night Mirage and Chromia were off from patrol, and Y/n and Sam were free from work. The four decided to see a movie at the drive in, deciding on what to see by vote; ending up on Alien. Much to Y/n's dismay, who found it a little odd to see a supposedly scary movie about aliens with aliens, but was also unprepared for horror.
The two bots parked as far back as possible, tuning into the drive-in's frequency, it was a crystal clear night, perfect for this occasion. Sam was in Chromia's drivers seat, happily watching the movie while munching on some snack he'd snuck through. Whereas Y/n, who was curled up in Mirage's seat, was gripping the soft leather of the seat tightly in her hands, her face tucked behind her knees; unfounded terror gripping her imagination with each scene. They'd gotten a little over half way through the movie when Y/n just couldn't watch anymore.
“No. Nope, no no.” She said repeatedly, grabbing for the door handle, but Mirage wouldn't let her out.
“We can leave.” He stated simply, completely understanding and willing to do whatever Y/n needed. He started to back out, switching his radio to speak to Chromia and Sam. “Hey, we're gonna split. See ya back at the Bunker.” Mirage didn't give any explanation nor the two a chance to question the mech before he was driving off.
Half way back to the Bunker Y/n let out an aggravated huff, “Ughhh. Why am I like this.” She spoke with a whine, but the gravel that came with annoyance was still present. Mirage just chuckled, the sound normally a comfort for Y/n just annoyed her more in the moment. “It's not funny Mirage.”
The mech held in another chuckle, “I know but it's okay. You're totally safe, ya know?” A pause happened in their conversation when they arrived at the Bunker, the place was empty save for Prowl who was somewhere in his lab, but the rest of the bots were out on patrol and Charlie working a night shift. The two ended up on the bot sized couch sitting somewhat close together.
“I mean, they're not even real Y/n.” Mirage was trying to comfort her, but the situation baffled him slightly.
“How can you say that when you're real. I'm real. So who's really to say.” Y/n retorted, despite not wanting to be scared by a movie, the goofy conversation was oddly enjoyable.
Mirage went to speak but stopped when he mulled the thought over a moment, he put on his most confident smile and leaned a little closer to Y/n, “Fair, but I'm right here, I'll keep you safe.” Though it started as a silly teasing argument, Mirage was slipping little things about his feelings into what he said.
Y/n smiled, throwing a hand over her face to hide the stifled laugh. “Their blood is literally acid, if their not vaporized or somethin their blood'll eat right through you. What am I supposed to do then, huh?”
Mirage cocked a brow at her, that devilish smirk that made Y/n's stomach flip appeared on his lips, “So you'd worry about me?” The mech was leaning in closer, his arm was loosely hanging over the back of the couch so he could be covertly closer to Y/n, but now with how the two were sitting his helm was so close to her, he could feel the warmth that radiated from her.
Y/n was blushing madly, the red tinting all the way to her ears. “Mirage!” She playfully shoved at his chassis , knowing it wouldn't move him even if she did try. But all the gesture did was bring them closer together, as her hand landed on the smooth metal she slipped forward, her chest now pressed up against his chassis , faces inches apart. Y/n stopped, all thoughts left her head in that instant, lost in the desire to close the gap between them. Mirage was equally as stunned, unsure what to do, but so certain of what he wanted. He was so close to leaning in and connecting their lips, but at the last second they both pulled away. Y/n scooted away, but not far, mumbling “Sorry, bout that.” As she did.
“No worries.” Mirage smiled softly, the smallest hint of disappointment in his optics. But the moment was still awkward and leaving both of them tensed. Mirage went to move, not necessarily leave, but Y/n stopped him.
“Would you stay…out here?” She wasn't scared anymore, wasn't even thinking about the movie, but internally it was her excuse as to why she asked.
Mirage stopped the second she asked, slipping back into his spot without question. “Yeah. Of course.” He answered as if it was the silliest thing she could have said. The mech grabbed a small blanket just big enough of Y/n from the opposite couch and draped it over her. The two fell into a comfortable silence and soon after into a deep sleep.
— —
Two weeks after the movie and almost kiss, Mirage was on a night patrol while Y/n was at work. The night was moving slowly for both Mirage and Y/n, one passively driving around the town and grater area, and the other running from table to table as if her life depends on it. It was rounding 11pm when a group came in, one Y/n instantly recognized; her friend Kirby and his gang of weirdos.
They came in loud, moving through the whole dinner until they found a too small table for them, but they crammed into the booth nonetheless. The two other servers working avoided them like the plague. Y/n held off seeing them until she had no choice. The group was still in that same booth, Y/n smiled at Kirby, silently pleading for the night to be over.
“Hey Kirby. Guys. What can I do for ya tonight?” Y/n was exhausted, but she fought it. Kirby was all too happy to see Y/n.
“We're doin fabulous Sweets, gonna be heading to the track after this. It'd be cool if you'd come with us.” Kirby coolly slipped the invitation into the conversation. Y/n paused, knowing he and his group would ask, in that moment she was thankful for her job however. Y/n was about to decline, but like she was made out of smoke Jessie appeared next to Y/n.
“The track huh? Well Y/n I think it'd be good for you. Why not take the rest of the night for yourself huh?” Kirby and his gang lit up, now overly excited for such a mundane occurrence. Y/n wanted to retort, wanted to decline, but Jessie leaned in just enough so only Y/n could hear. “Just get them out of here. I don't care if you go, just get them gone and I'll give you a raise.” Jessie clapped her hands loud with a boisterous smile before leaving. This threw all plans Y/n had out the window. Normally when Y/n would get off work Mirage would be waiting for her, but it was hours early and he wasn’t done with patrol yet. Kirby knew before his group walked in that Y/n didn’t have her car today, she had very little to use to get out of the hang out.
Begrudgingly she agreed, first stopping to change out of her work uniform and into the clothes she’d already had in her bag; the outfit she was planning on wearing for Mirage. But she did not want to be at the track in a skirt with Kirby and his friends. In no time after the cluster of friends left, they were at the track tunnels outside of town; some were racing, but Y/n was adamant that she was not getting on the track. Truth be told she didn’t trust but two human’s behind the wheel and neither were there with her. Y/n and Kirby were leaning against his mustang that was parked in the gravel just off the track. Other cars were parked alongside them, some with people standing around and others rocking with intimate activities.
Y/n was standing a little always from Kirby, watching cars go by, mind wandering elsewhere. But Kirby was slowly moving closer, Y/n didn’t notice at first, used to his flirting; but something was off.
A little before midnight Mirage was back in town to do one last drive through before picking up Y/n. However when he got to Jessie’s he picked up no scans of Y/n. Thinking his sensors were bugged out he scanned again, but after three attempts and still no sign of Y/n he knew she wasn’t anywhere in the area and especially not the dinner. The mech pulled towards the building and parked as close as he could before giving it one last ditch try.
Back at the track, Y/n was deep in thought, totally unaware that Kirby was now right next to her, their arms would have been touching but Kirby slung his arm around Y/n's shoulder, pulling her flush against his chest. Both unaware of the Porsche that had quietly pulled in behind Kirby's Mustang.
Kirby was too close, his words fanned over Y/n's face. “So Y/n, I know I'm not the most subtle guy around, but Would you wanna go out sometime? You could always kick my ass in another race.” He was smiling like he'd just won a prize, his arm was loose over Y/n but his hold was firm.
“Oh.” Y/n knew what was coming, but the question and situation had her nerves on edge, “Kirby.” She started trying to take a step away. “As sweet as that is, I'm just-” She cut herself off, unsure of how to say it, how to explain that no human interested her; but she was struck with the unexplainable feeling of being watched by unseen eyes. “I'm not interested in anyone–man, right now. Okay?” Y/n hoped that she was direct enough, but the words felt wrong, like she was being too vague.
Kirby pulled his arm back, still smiling, both hands snakking into his pockets. But he was being too quiet. “It's all cool. Better to try and fail blah blah.” Y/n let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, returning the smile, happy to be over this situation. However when Y/n looked at Kirby, he was closing the small distance, trying for a kiss. Y/n's eyes shot open wide, automatically she took a large step back, hands out to stop the unwanted advance. Kirby did stop, but not because Y/n was backing away, but because the Porsche's alarm started blaring the loudest it ever had. Both Y/n and Kirby stopped in place.
“Is that your car?” He asked, surprised and clearly annoyed. “Did Sam drop it off?” Kirby was having to yell over the alarm.
“I guess.” Y/n ran to the drivers side, irked that the 'door' wouldn't open. “Look I gotta go, get this figured out!” Y/n was screaming so much her throat hurt, all while struggling with the door. Yet the moment she said that the door violently flew open.
Y/n jumped into the car, having to pretend to mess with the ignition, “Mirage! What are you doing?” The mech didn't answer, instead slamming his door shut, stopping the alarm and revving his 'engine' as hard as he could before spinning out and speeding off and away.
Mirage was pissed. Though he knew he had no reason to be, had no real right to feel so jealous. But seeing that spindly human hug, flirt and try to kiss Y/n, even after she'd clearly rejected him, had his spark flaring red. Mirage was driving so fast that Y/n was pressed into the seat, forces silent by the speed. While Mirage was stuck replaying the less-than-five minutes incident in his helm. What snapped him out of his thoughts were two things; one being the Bunker closing in and Y/n.
“Mirage, what the fuck is going on with you!” She was near screaming again, feeling as if he wasn't listening to her.
The Bunker's door was open, the only ones inside were Sam and Chromia. Mirage slowed just enough to not skid out when he sped into the 'hanger', driving past the two and down the hall to his berth. Both Sam and Chromia shared the same expression of confusion and mild surprise.
Mirage didn't transform until they were out of sight, holding Y/n in one arm pressed against his chassis while he stormed into his berth. Y/n tired to question things again. “What's goin-”
“He tried to kiss you!” Mirage interrupted, for the first time in front of Y/n yelled. His voice filled with so much emotion. Y/n was stunned, never in all the moments that they've shared, had she send him so angry or upset. Y/n assumed it was pent-up anger from everytime Mirage witnessed her being hit on or gawked at. Despite being in his own room, Mirage was still holding Y/n.
“Mirage, I know. I was there. And I didn't want it.” Y/n spoke with a bite and harsher tone then intended. “But why are you freaking out?”
Mirage scoffed, causing Y/n to pull away, as much as she could in his hold. “Why aren't you? Why are you okay with them treating you like that?” Mirage was veering into unknown territory; yes the mech hates seeing random men flirt or try to touch her, that first night in Jessie's lot, he about transformed to bat those two men away. But this was something else. Y/n had captured his whole spark, he was her's, spark, body and soul.
However, Y/n wasn't in the mood to have this argument and bit back, “What's it to you huh? Why should you care?” Her words betrayed her feelings. Truthfully she wanted Mirage to care, to hold her in a loving and compassionate way. Instead there they were, in his berth, needlessly arguing.
Mirage let loose. “Why would I care?” The mech questioned first, his voice harsh. “Of course I care Y/n! I care about you! I care that you're safe a-and happy. Why wouldn't I care about the person I love!” Mirage let the words and feelings out before he could stop himself, but he screwed his mouth shut the instant the words left him, his optics looking anywhere but at the woman in his hold. But his hold on her didn't wane, in fact he held her a bit closer, despite anticipating rejection. All but knowing he was the one being in the universe she wouldn't.
“Mirage.” Y/n spoke so softly she wondered if he could even hear, but slowly he turned his gaze back to her. Y/n summoned all the confidence she had in her, and then some; with the one arm she had around Mirage's neck, pulled herself up, finally connecting her lips to his.
The kiss was soft and full of all the passion, even with the size difference Y/n's lips fit perfectly against Mirage's own. But the kiss was short, as fast as Y/n had done it, she was already pulling away; leaving Mirage wanting more.
The two stared at each other for a long moment, both fully processing what just happened. Neither got far. Mirage pressed their lips together again, his metallic lips slotting against Y/n's. When he pulled away he had the biggest, brightest smile; even the blue light of his spark shined brighter.
“I knew you had a thing for me.” The mech said while wearing a coy smirk. But Y/n knows how to play his game.
“Oh, so you don't want to kiss me again? You can just put me down then.” She spoke with a playful tone while lightly patting his chassis. Though Mirage took it half-seriously, holding her a little closer.
“No. T-That's not what I meant.” His words were rushed, “I'd very very much like to kiss you again.” Mirage, seeing Y/n's kiss swollen lips, had his confidence and cockieness back up; leaning his helm closer so his lips were to her ear, “I'd like to do a lot more than just that, Y/n.” The mech emphasized her name by grazing his lips over her ear and down her jaw. Y/n's whole body was hot, her eyes fluttering shut for a brief second before Mirage pulled away once again; now being the one to leave Y/n wanting more.
However, in that same instant, an intense wave of nervousness stuck her. Calming up, she pulled her arms against her chest. Almost instantly Mirage relaxed his hold, moving to his berth. The mech set Y/n down gingerly, sitting next to her in the same motion.
“I'm sorry Y/n. I-I didn't I…” Mirage's mind jumped to all the unwanted advances Y/n had gone through in the short time he'd known her, comparing himself to those men. Y/n silenced him before he could spiral further by wrapping her arms back around his neck and pulling him into a hug.
“Mirage it's not like that. I love you too.” Y/n spoke her feelings to his chassis, holding onto him tightly. The mech returned the embrace, gently wrapping an arm around her frame.
Y/n pulled back a bit, but didn't let go, “I'm just-” Her face began to heat up, embarrassment flooding her, but Mirage was listening earnestly. “I just..lack…experience…” Y/n was internally smacking herself, her words failing her at the worst of times. “Sexually.” She said finally, a bit too loud. “A-and it's not that I don't wanna, in fact I'd very much like to-” Y/n cut herself off abruptly, looking at Mirage, he held the same expression as the night of the movie. Y/n's stomach flipped before pooling into a deep heat in her core, her mouth suddenly gone dry; a sharp quiet inhale was all she could muster.
Mirage brought his servo up, ghosting over her head before two digits swiped Y/n's hat from her head, she let out a gasp that had Mirage bursting with laughter. Y/n pushed at him, “Not funny, Mirage.” But he refused to let her go.
“I's just teasin ya.” The mech spoke through his laughter, quickly stifling it all together. “Seriously,” Suddenly Mirage was very stern, holding Y/n's attention. “You don't have to do anything you don't want to, and I never want you to feel obligated to do anything.” He paused to pull Y/n a bit closer, lowering his helm to her forehead. “I'm happy if you're happy, everything else is a bonus.” Y/n's lips bloomed a smile so warm and soft, barely moving to quickly peck his face plate.
“Thank you, Mirage.”
— —
Y/n stared a second longer into his cerulean optics before planting another kiss on his lips. This one much longer, full of passion, desire and yearning. The only reason Y/n pulled away was to gasp for air. Mirage laughed at that too, it subsided at the sight of her flush face, sultry expression and swollen lips.
She leaned back in, pressing her face to his, “I do want to do more with you.” Y/n spoke clearly, confirming her consent and intent. “I'm just not sure how this'll work physically.” She said while gesturing between them.
Mirage simply smiled, a servo soothingly rubbing her back. “It'll work.” He said with his signature cocky grin. “Trust me. I've given it a lot of thought.” It took so much for him not to laugh at his own joke. It turned out to be easy, Y/n gasped in response, whether real or playful Mirage took the opportunity and captured her mouth with his. Still he asked for permission, by darting his glossa over her lower lip. Y/n gladly let him explore her mouth.
The mech was entranced by the feeling of her petal soft lips and the heavenly sweet taste of her. Y/n found the metallic taste and smooth texture of him intoxicating. Mirage moved a servo down her back till he was cupping her ass, gently squeezing and groping, a moan was caught in her throat. His other servo came up to her waist, dressing up and down, a stray digit drifting over her chest. Only separating so Y/n could breath, Mirage placed both servos on her hips, gently guiding her to lie down. But Y/n stopped, sat at the edge of his berth and kicked off her shoes. She went to pull her shirt off but was halted by Mirage's servo seizing her arm.
The mech's lips were to her ear again, “Let me do that.” His voice was low and heavy. Experimentally he nipped at her ear, kissing and licking his way down her neck, stopping at the crook to bite just hard enough to leave a mark but not enough to hurt. The action and sensation had another whiny, wanting moan slipping from Y/n. Mirage again guided her to the center of his berth, laying her down all the while showering her in kisses.
Mirage stopped to appreciate Y/n below him. Her hair falling around her head and face, skin soft, warm and flushed. He started with her shirt, gliding his servos over the soft mounds of her chest, teasingly squeezing before slipping down further. His digits sliding under the black fabric, pausing to trace along her pant line, feeling her soft skin; drinking in every little sensation and motion she made. Y/n wasn't wearing an undershirt of any kind, her chest bare for the mech hovering above her. Mirage's optics were a blaze with desire, his glossa darting out to swipe over his lips. He asked for permission one last time, his gaze locked on Y/n face. She nodded impatiently.
Without hesitation the mech cupped her breast in his servo, the cool metal perking the small bud of nerves. The mech tentatively licked his glossa over her nipple, soft whimpers and moans escaped Y/n as Mirage explored her chest and her sensitivities. When he finally made his way down to her pants it took everything in him not to tear them to threads off with his denta.
At an agonizingly slow pace, the mech peeled Y/n's pants down her legs, not wasting time, pulling her underwear off in the same motion. Y/n's first instinct was to snap her legs shut, but she was comfortable, warm and filled with a sense of security, so she stayed put, watching the stunning mech through half lidded eyes.
Mirage spread her legs, fully settling between them. He took a moment to kiss and stare at her center, causing a shudder to rock through her. Slowly Mirage kisses up her thigh, nipping the soft flesh, licking the small mark he'd made. With his optics welded to her wet core, he slid his glossa over her folds, her legs already beginning to shake. Lapping at her increasing wetness, optics drifted shut as he fell into the pure taste and pleasure of Y/n.
Mirage was fully between Y/n's legs, flat on his chassis with his legs out behind him. The mech had found a rhythm of his liking. His glossa pressed between her wet folds and licked up to the oversensitive bud of nerves, swirling the metal appenday around until she was near crying; each time he'd flick his glossa over her clit she had to suppress the volume of her moans, bucking her hips into the mech's mouth. But each time she'd buck or push against him, trying to chase her release, Mirage would pull back just enough to leave her whimpering; her eyes became pricked with tears of ecstasy. Deciding she was ready for more, Mirage spread her legs a little further apart until they were over his shoulders, her feet propped up on his wheels; with his servos gripping her ass and thighs, he used his thumbs to gently spread open Y/n's weeping hole, all the while he hadn't stopped. The mech's optics drifted from her pleasure contorted expression to her center, embarrassment floods Y/n again, her body shaking and pussy dripping with want.
Y/n was thrown further into the waves of ecstasy by Mirage's glossa sliding past her entrance and all the way into her tight hole. Y/n let out a long and loud moan, the sudden sensation had her quaking, turning her into a whimpering, moaning mess. Y/n lost all composer, forgoing holding her sounds back as Mirage relentlessly fucked her with his glossa; his face plate shinny with her slick. Y/n's whole body was sticky with sweat, her mind blank, eyes barely able to stay open, always falling back to Mirage's optics, who was watching her every move, expression and sound. Faster then she was expecting, her climax was fast approaching. Her entire body began to shake, her hands near frantically searching for something to grip onto, settling on two of Mirage's digits that were curled around either hip. Mirage soothingly ceressed and messaged her soft hips and thighs, coaching her through her orgasm. When the knot in her core finally snapped, the moan that erupted from Y/n had Mirage turning merciless; holding her hips and thighs firmly in place, forcing her still while his glossa darted in and out of her. Sliding from his intake all the way to the bottom of her core. Mirage didn't remove himself until he was satisfied she'd cum completely and fully. Y/n gasped at the sudden empty feeling, whining at the loss.
The mech licked her clean, joyously overstimulating her. Y/n was a puddle underneath Mirage, his large frame caging her in completely. Mirage gazed down at Y/n, totally and unabashedly adoring every part of her. Her mind was blank, fucked silent. Mirage's optics dragged up and down Y/n's body, watching the fast rise 'n fall of her chest, stopping again at her center. Mirage was sitting on his knees, tall above Y/n, he was thinking on all the things he wants to do, but stuck on what to do next. Staring at her weeping core, the mech's gaze shifted briefly to his servo before zeroing back in on her. Y/n was recovering, her body slowly returning to it's medien; her attention drawn to the mech between her legs, who was wearing a devilish look on his helm.
Mirage let his mischievous curiosity get the better of him; with one servo he again held Y/n's hip firmly in place, with his free servo he coated his middle digit in her slick. Circling her clit with his pad, gliding down till he was lined up and slowly pushing in. Y/n's eyes flew open, a deep groan roaring from her chest as Mirage pushed his digit all the way in, bottoming out till his palm was flat against her. Y/n was drunk on pleasure, rutting her hips into the mech's servo. Mirage watched her face, her eyes rolling back and closed, her mouth lulling open as moan after moan fell from her.
The mech lowed his helm to her, scraping his lips over her face, hot breath and smooth metel cool on her skin. “Ah-uh, that's my job Lil'Blu.” His voice was full of list, low just for Y/n as he pumped his digit into her. The new nickname combined with the thick digit buried inside her had her fluttering tightly around the smooth but ribbed digit. She cluthed onto his arm, her head thrown back, his name falling from her lips in a slurred half mumbled manor. Mirage wore a sultry smile that shorn down at her, kissing his way up and down her body, whispering sweet dirty things to her; “You're so good for me. Love the way you sound for me.” What pushed her over the edge was Mirage, “I'm gonna fuck you like this every night, Lil'Blu.” Before he bit her neck again. The moan that started deep erupted like a scream from Y/n, clamping down around his digit, but he didn't stop, his digit and servo covered in her slick juices. While he fingered her through another climax, the mech let his spike out, positioning himself so his spike was above his servo but sweetly rubbing against her oversensitive clit, with a few thrust of his hips his spike was also coated in her wetness, in one motion he removed his digit and lined up his spike.
When his optics came to her face he thought his spark would stop. Y/n was looking at him in a way no being ever had, her eyes were somehow as bright as his, her lips parted, but a welcoming smile was still presnt. Y/n threw her arms up hoping to wrap them around his neck, but she only reached his chassis, with a soft gaze he silently chuckled; but he lowed himself so she could be holding onto him, their lips connecting into a light passion filled kiss. Mirage was a cage for Y/n, his whole body near covering her, using the new closeness he slowly pushed his spike into her; Y/n braking the kids to gasp, wrapping her legs around his hips locking him in place, her face buried in his neck.
It was slow and deeply intamate, from how he was holding onto Y/n, to how carefully he entered her. With enough patients he was able to get their his flush together. Y/n was about lost in pleasure, holding onto Mirage like a lifeline to reality, but she reveled in the feeling of the mech, his body, so intracate and strong, she felt safe. Mirage had been holding back for so long, watching, teasing and wondering, finally connected to Y/n in the most intamate way, it wasn't long before he was pounding into her. “Feel so good Y/n~.” Mirage was whispering and whimpering to her, his words barely formed as he couldn't contain his own pleasure. “Wanted you for s' long.”
Mirage's thrust were becoming irratic, losing rhythm as his own overload began. His release was long, pushing Y/n over the edge of her final climax. Still holding her close, Mirage vented a gust of hot air, effectively warming Y/n's legs, before he collapsed beside her. The two lay together for sometime recovering. Y/n blinking away the few pleasure made tears, while Mirage hid his spike back behind his modesty plate. Recovering faster then Y/n, the mech sprung up from the berth and left his private room, leaving a still punch-drunk Y/n confused. Not five minutes and he returned, he had with him a towel, two pillows and a blanket for Y/n. He was very serious when he said he'd be there for her.
While they cuddled, Y/n laying on top of Mirage, a pillow tucked under her head and stomach. Like this she could fall asleep while staring at Mirage. The mech had switched off the light and pulled the blanket over Y/n, but before she started to sleep, a thought hit her.
“Mirage?”
“Hmm.”
“How did you find me? By the way.” Mirage chuckled softly.
“I asked Jessie.” His tone was tired but still teasingly matter-of-factly.
Y/n popped up on her elbows, “Seriously?” Her expression and tone skeptical.
“Seriously. I just used my holoform. Ya know a hologram-humany-me. Told 'er I was your friend, 'nd she told me where you went.” He never dropped the tone despite his speech being slurred by exhaustion.
“No way.” Y/n gawked at the mech. “I didn't know you could do that.” Y/n smiled to herself, imagining what a "human" Mirage would look like. “You'll have to show me sometime.” She spoke while curling up on his chassis, close to drifting into sleep.
“I will. Promise.” He adjusted slightly so he had a servo resting on her lower back.
“I love you Mirage.” Her voice was small and tired, but the smile seen only lit from the light of his spark had Mirage leaning down for one final peck.
“I love you too, Y/n. Get some sleep.” The two fell fast asleep, together in each other's arms.

NINJAGO SPOILER
(The spoiler is about jays memory, the rest is made up)
Nya losing her gi mask and jay trying to get it back to her, one step behind each mission.
"Have you seen the ninja?"
"Sorry they just left"
He would try so hard, eventually getting a glimpse of a beautiful ninja mid- fight, her hair flowing behind her like majestic waves, watching her fight made his heart skip a beat.
Suddenly while she was distracted by a wolf masked man a giant one eyed green mech suit snuck up behind her, without thinking, jay used his power. Electrocuted the mech suit, saving the woman from her attacker. She turned at the noise and all he heard was a gasp before seeing the exquisitely perfect lady hes been chasing. He didnt even remember that they were betrothed but part of him couldn't help but fall in love with her over and over again.

My drafts were being weird @skatermusic so here we are
Tumblr media
Heatwave headcanons
He was lower caste on Cybertron before coming to the Rescue Bots
This mf is shit at reading due to this, but he tries his best to hide it
His formal education is whatever they taught at the academy, and even then due to the age he was when he came in and his graduation year, his education level isn't as high as the others
He is street smart though, and has a basic understanding of things around him. He isn't stupid when you actually look into what he knows
Sometimes doubts his position as leader due to this. Majority of the team leaders have been fire bots, so he sometimes believes that is why he was chosen as Sigma 17's team leader
Doesn't help that their team's graduation was rushed. That part was never really explained to them
Out of all of the Sigma team he is closest to Chase, but isn't Amica level with him (that honor has been given to Blades)
Loves to lie to the humans about basic Cybertronian things. Things from how they sleep, refuel, if they can cry or not, all of that is fair game for him to lie about. Anything that can actually be useful for them to know, such as patching them up, he allows Blades to explain
Speaking of Blades, these two started to rough house more as Blade's confidence grew. The rest of the team likes to watch them wrestle with each other
Literally cannot tell if Quickshadow is either flirting with him or making fun of him. Blades does not make it any easier as well with his input
Blurr gets under his plating but most of that is due to him seeing a younger self in Blurr. He tries his best to guide Blurr away from making the same mistakes as him, but sometimes you just gotta let him learn the hard way
Will never admit it, but loves when Kade insists on them visiting different scenic areas of Griffin Rock. The scenery was one of the small things that made him want to stay
Speaking of these times, he will also never admit that he loves hearing the stories Kade tells him. When he isn't trying to pose up for others, Kade actually makes a good talking partner to the bot.
While he doesn't fully understand the whole Kaiju movie industry, he will admit that watching giant monsters beat the shit out of each other is entertaining. Kade has dragged him off to a Godzilla movie marathon
Cody throws off his guardian coding, especially with all of the danger he gets into
He teaches Cody with his holoform different self defense mechanisms, and sometimes drags Kade in to be the test dummy
Has broken his training dummy so many times that Boulder had refused to fix it for 2 solid months. After that they came to a conclusion to create a metal one
Will allow Chase to infodump about his detective movies and books, but if there were a test at the end, he would fail
Finds metal and punk music to be the most similar human music to his favorite Cybertronian genres of music
Use to follow Megatron's speeches due to his position in the lower caste, but gave up on him after the council meeting and the fall out after that
"Why the frag is half of this island brain dead?"
Has never killed a man or bot, but isn't opposed to it if he weren't a Rescue Bot and was under oath
Is very sassy after the bots are revealed to the community. Has ruined many of Huxley's clips by swearing in English
Swears the most in English, but Blades wins for Cybertronian swearing
Races Hightide in boat mode. Only won once because Hightide took pity
Would gladly fuck up MECH if they met
And those are some Heatwave headcanons! Hope you enjoy

Finally got around to playing Armored Core 6 (thanks @self-loving-vampire!) and I’m loving it so far. The movement is a hell of a lot of fun, which is a good sign as movement is usually the first thing I start complaining about in a game (this is mostly a me thing, I just like being fast and zippy and it’s very easy for games to start feeling sluggish if they have fairly normal movement). The weapons feel nice, I’m getting a feel for how it plays, and I quite like the aesthetics. Mechs are cool!
I had some vague knowledge of the game before playing but even so I wasn’t really prepared for just how blunt and on the nose it is about the fact that you’re the bad guy here. In one of the early missions, you come upon a pack of trash mobs and a radio line plays of some guy talking to his comrades. He says something to the effect of "there's just one of them, we can do this!" in the wavering voice of a man who has never fired a gun before trying to find any amount of confidence before he puts his life on the line for his home. And then you unceremoniously blow him and all his friends straight to hell and move on. It doesn’t even tell you which enemy was talking, he’s just another faceless mook for you to brush aside on your way to destroying the objective.
Every now and then one of them will ask why you're doing this, and there's literally no answer to give them even if you could. The game doesn't even pretend that you're fighting a ~just war~ or something, they're just like "yeah, these guys are the Rubicon Liberation Front. They're getting in the way of our corporation exploiting their world, go destroy them" and then you do. And it's not even very difficult. They've got terrible equipment and no training whatsoever and just don't stand a chance. But you keep getting to hear their comms, and those comms keep painting an ever clearer picture that you’re not a soldier fighting a war so much as a grown adult beating a bunch of children to death. Nobody tries to justify what you're doing in any way whatsoever, your handler in the intro makes a comment like "y’know, if we make this job work then we'll strike it rich and you can buy your life back" and that's it. Regardless of what “buy your life back” is referring to here, it’s plain that you’re in this purely for selfish motives.
And that’s to the extent that 621 is even deciding to do this at all. So far it’s also done a great job of dehumanizing the main character completely, and you never really make any decisions beyond which of two missions to do first and how to build your AC. People keep referring to them as their handler’s dog, nobody expects them to have anything to say or any opinion whatsoever, and that’s great because as a matter of fact they don’t have any opinion about any of this. They’re just here to blow up whatever they’re told to.
The most memorable instance of this so far, and what really made it clear that this isn’t just the game not wanting to voice the MC or something, was one of the early mission briefings. You’re tagging along with some ACs from one of the corps, and the guy in charge of their in-house fighters at the end of the briefing says something to the effect of “now sound off!”, followed by a beat of dead silence. Then he says “eh, good enough” and ends the call. This makes it clear this isn’t just a pre-recorded message; it’s someone talking to 621, expecting a response, and not getting anything. It’s a little detail that I laughed about in the moment, but I really like how telling it is about your character as a person.

Linumi Hc
An incomplete and not in order list Because my brain is running a hundred different directionssssss
He is 10 years older than her but nothing starts with them until after the Linzin breakup so Lin’s like 33 ish he’s 43, long after she’s established in the RCPD and Toph and Su are gone.
Bumi wasn’t a violent man towards family and friends but the next time Bumi was in port after he heard what Tenzin did to Lin. Dropping her for Pema. (And expecting a kid within a year of breaking up with Lin) he decked Tenzin in front of Pema and the other air acolytes on ATI. Dropping Tenzin like a sack of bricks to the stone. “That’s for Linny.” He all but spat at the dazed Tenzin.
They write a lot. A LOT a lot. Lin receives several letters at the same time because Bumi has to mail them all at the same port after a while at sea. She saves every one of them but she would never admit it and Bumi assumes she tosses them but they’re hidden under a stone in her house. Lin doesn’t write as often to him as it usually ends up at the wrong port for him to be able to collect it.
They’re actually married but NO ONE KNOWS because Lin won’t wear a ring when she’s at work and no one can catch her when she’s not at work and Bumi doesn’t feel the need to tell anyone if they haven’t figured it out yet (*cough* Tenzin being oblivious)
One time Korra catches Bumi kissing Lin while they think no one was around at ATI and she was shoook
Bumi didn’t get any updates on what happened after Amon until it was weeks after everyone was at Katara’s house and as soon as he heard about it he couldn’t get there fast enough and no one dared tell Commander Bumi II that he couldn’t leave his assignment to get to his wife after what they heard happened.
Lin was in such bad state omg all the other hc injuries and nightmares but she was so pale and sickly thin when he got to her. He pulled her close to him and Lin just breaks down crying and apologizing over and over. (The night terror / comfort ficsssss please I beg)
When Bumi gets his airbending Lin grows distant a bit not really a huge fan of the new development but not discouraging him from his excitement. They do eventually talk it out but that’s kinda post series.
Bumi frantically digging through the wreckage of Kuvira’s mech to find Lin. (A Fog Au where Lin and Su are thrown into the spirit world by the explosion and Lin gets lost in the fog of lost souls- I think I have a few of those posts somewhere still)
Bumi joking that Mako/Rina(oc) or Bolin/Opal need to give him and Lin grankids soon because he’s retired and his niblings are growing up and finding other things to spend their time on than joking around with uncle Bumi.
Bumi loves making Lin smile and always manages to get a smirk at least as he’s goofing off in company. Sometimes he gets a chuckle and his week is made. Nothing can beat his Linny smiling and laughing.

Thoughts on Megarod?
thank you
I really like this ship.
Honestly i wish it had more content.
Megatron and Rodimus have this understanding and acceptance of each other and things most do not.
While many chalk Rodimus up to a terrible prime and disastrous bot he’s more than that and Megatron can see it.
The same can be said about Megatron in Rodimus opinion. He knows Megatron did terrible things, is actually trying and deserves life and peace. He can also understand why Megatron lead the war in the first place. He won’t hesitate to state this nor stand in his opinion while admitting Megatron lost sight halfway through.
Many hate his take on it but Rodimus knows he’s right and he knows in how Optimus cannot look him in the optic when he says so is also an indicator.
Megatron and Rodimus built friendship and mutual understanding first while being honest without worrying of the other using them or having ill intent.
Both have insecurities and more so on Rodimus part, truly both but mostly Rodimus, a fear of abandonment.
They have their own way of reassuring the other and communicating and many don’t get it because of their biases they hold the two under, its pretty apparent how easy the two function and coexist together.

Idk i just really like this pairing along with people having expectations of how they should be and how horrible a pair they are together when its so far from the truth.
No one understands how they are conjunx, they never planed on revealing it but knew it was a possibility.
They didn’t invite anyone to a ceremony nor did Rodimus tell Drift who he felt he owed the universe for putting him and his conjunx through so much.
When Drift heard about it he was understandably hurt and angry and demanded why Rodimus didn’t say anything and Rodimus simply tells him he didn’t want to burden Drift anymore than he already has & that he knew their union would not be taken well by anyone. He wanted Drift to spend time with his revived Conjunx uninterrupted and Rodimus felt he didn’t deserve Drift being there when he caused so many problems for what he declared his former amica.
“Seriously Drift, you should be enjoying time with the doc and you deserve a better amica than I’ve been.”
Its a pat to the shoulder and a little smile that Rodimus leaves off with and Rodimus curling into Megatron later in their shared berth is met with Megatron understanding his decision even if he wishes his conjunx could see he doesn’t need to punish himself anymore than he already has.
But he does revel in sharing how proud he is of Rodimus for growing in a maturity he wishes he never needed to.
Its easier for Megatron to share his bonding with Rodimus to Optimus who feels an immense guilt for not properly training the younger to be a prime.
Its also oddly easier to share with Soundwave, who after beating the slag out of Megatron- which he knows he deserves- states Megatron did always pick the oddest bots to have an attraction to though they all shared a kindness and a beautiful smile bots would follow.
“You’re such an old perverted mech conjunxing someone so young and full of life.”
So many old man teasings and so many you’re too young to appreciate/understand this jokes between the two its heart warming.
I feel i got carried away with this post but i just love the angst and love and determination they both have and i will always be heart broken how the writers ruined drift & rodimus friendship & then killed Ratchet. Fuck canon Ratchet comes back and drift & Rodimus work on having a better friendship.

Okay so I watched all of Ninjago Dragons Rising s2p2! I've got so many thoughts and I'm dumping them all here in a long list. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
to start: Cole!! He's a family man! He's got a boyfriend and they hold hands and they care for their kids and Bonzle so obviously came out to them and omg I wanted to cry. The joy of acceptance. I mean come one she kept saying how alone she felt, they're found family, she was repeating that she chose he town name and identity and the villains were insistent that she wants a person but just a spell like come on
But there's more than that, I have questions I have concerns!! Like wtf happend on Coles quest?? With Sensei Wu??? Like he disappeared and turned up again and said he would explain but never did.
Cole also came back from that in his bolder form so did he figure out he could do it on his own then? Is that what he learned on his quest?? If so it's gonna be a little awkward when he tried to explain that to his bf Geo.
With part 2 I really want to see the whole gang meet them and talk and catch up on everything. Like cole has been missing since the merge and no one this season cared. At all. They hadn't seen him in ages- didn't even know if he was alive until drs1 but nope no worries or concerns. Not even a question of what he was up to.
When he came through the portal Zane wasn't worried or confused at all, just oh? You need some help?? Sure let's beat these bad guys and not worry or show emotions! Is a tearful reunion for my fav character too much to ask?? Cuz he clearly deserves it. :(
And then into both Zane and Coke this season!! Love them!! They've always been my fav duo (gonna have to start shipping geo/Cole/Zane as poly now) it was so fun to see them going around together with Bonzle. They had some great moments and I'm praying we get more in the next part.
On the other hand it was a shame they got such small roles- just seperated from the others as a way to help Bonzle. It means they didn't have the same lessons or knowledge the others got which is totally unfair!! They have a lot to catch up on. They also never got a chance to be part of the main battle
It's dumb but I was kinda hoping for Cole to show off his stronger powers (he always seems to get new powers every other season but that's a discussion for another day). Like sure he could use his robotic mech suit but that's been done before! He can do his boulder thing now (unless somehow he still thinks he can't which means he kept up that form for several days on his quest) and when he made that giant mid hut to protect his family!! I want to see him do that again! Let me man go ape shit to protect Bonzle.
And on another note, Geo my beloved, you should get a chance to shine with your powers. A chance to show off or at least have a talk about them with Cole.
Next up WyldFyre. I was worried they would make her the annoying comic relief cuz if her injury but her talks about losing loved ones and dragon culture and her home were really sweet and it was great to see some development so driven by battles. I love those too don't get me wrong but like I needed to see this side of her. And I adore her relationship with Kai, being besties/mentors/dad for her works so great for both characters.
I will be first to admit that
Kai wasn't really my favourite. If you couldn't tell I love Cole followed by Zane. Always have and likely always will. I suppose that early Kai reminded me too much of some guys form my class and they turned into shitheads and I've always struggled to reconcile Kai's image form theirs. He was always a little too brash, hotheaded, and too often written as stupid to fall into my good graces.
And yet this season I adored him. Of course I've never hated him but like this season made me see what all his fans (many many fans) see in him.
I thought Kai being the first to master such a new, difficult and crucial skill was incredibly satisfying. Form all the way back to season 1 he's been the butt of jokes- having to learn he's not the centre of the universe and sometimes it's others like Lloyd who are the chosen ones. That's all great but him now getting a starting role, his ability being fueled by thoughts of his family, by his childhood and by protecting is friends was just too good to ignore him. Love this form of his character more than any other I've seen.
And now Kai is trapped :(
I'm glad he's got Bonzle with him tho so hopefully they can have each other's backs (she's meant to be a POWERFUL spell after all) they'll need each other if they're trapped with those other 4 guys. If they can apparently demolish everything then I'm rather worried for the duo. Tbh I'm sure they'll survive just fine, probably making jokes at Cole's expense all the while.
On a side note, I found it super cute how WyldFyre was willing to protect and go down with Kai. Besties I'm telling ya
Now Jay. I've never thought too hard about him I know he's one of the favs of the fandom but like Kai I was never so besotted with him. Still a great guy and omg I feel so bad. One of his worst fears was always being alone and now stuck, confused, forced to hide such a fundamental part of himself.
On the other hand he's got a gun now so that's fun!!
And you can't talk about him without mentioning Nya. He worst fears being him forgetting hurts my soul. And she was so sure it could never be true that she snapped out of her nightmare state!! She's going to break when she finds out.
She's already grieving her own brother, we saw her break down into WyldFyre (more proof she's an honorary sibling by now) but now knowing what's happening with Jay, I'm saying the angst is going to be overpowering. It's a greek tragedy fr
Part 2 is going to be rough. Jay only had a single scene but it's already a sign for the worst to come.
Speaking of things being rough, Lloyd is going THROUGH IT!! give this poor guy a break. I do appreciate that we physically get to see the effects of all his trauma- that everything that's happened has real consequences for his character and the story but I can't help but feel bad.
I've also suffered from anxiety for most of my life so to see it in a character like that feels really personal to me. Hope he gets a little break though, god knows he deserves it.
Have to say it's pretty funny that Lloyd's had so much Oni trauma that he forgot that he's part dragon too. Yes ninjas dragons can do spinjitsu why are you surprised at this point
The animation this season has been incredible, the fights were beautiful the angles so interesting and dynamic and I could go on for hours about how much I love it. It's always great when kids -and even animation in general is treated with respect. It doesn't dumb it's ideas and stories and characters for the sake of it's younger audience, and that makes it so much better for me who is definitely out of the age range.
I have my more points to make but I've been adding stuff in and off for ages so I'll probably go through this all later. Thanks for reading, please I want to know your own thoughts too I love discussing that kinda stuff!!

"a place to stay" preview
I don't want to wait 24 hours for the poll to end so here is the preview of my current WIP "A Place to Stay". This is about a month after Seabound ends when Lloyd makes the decision to leave the monastery and his old life behind.
...
Lloyd shuddered as he walked down the mountain. A million thoughts taunted him. You have nothing. You are nothing. You did this. You let her down. She’s gone because of you. Nothing he did could shut them out. Everyone leaving made them worse.
It wasn’t fair. Not for Nya. She had given up so much. Everything. She had given up herself for them. There had to have been another way. If only she had given him a few more moments to think. He had let her down. Now she was gone. She made the choice, but it was because he had failed as a leader. He had let Kalmaar get that far. It would have all been different if he had checked the amulet, or attacked Kalmaar at the island.
Maybe he should have gone for blood.
He reeled back at the thought. His hand gripped the side of the mountain, stabilizing himself from the horrible thought. It wasn’t the first time Lloyd had thought about taking a life, but this time he actually wished he had done it. Even after regaining his balance, he let the thought linger. Before, he would have blocked it out, reminded himself that he was good. He was always good. He had to be good.
No, he wanted Kalmaar to burn. If he wasn’t already dead he’d find him right now and beat him into nothingness. That’s what Kalmaar had done to Nya. His actions lead to her sacrifice. It wasn’t fair.
It was only a few steps more down the mountain. He could’ve taken a mech, but what was the point when all it would do is attract attention? Nya had given herself to the sea only a month ago. Possession? Fine. Let the people swarm him. Getting his heart mutilated and shattered by the one he cared so much about? He could handle that. Being relentlessly beaten and thrown through a wall by the man he once called his father? Sure.
Losing his sister? He would break. He had broken.
His whole life was falling apart faster than he could repair it. He looked back up the mountain; the monastery couldn’t be seen from here. So he really had left it all behind. The one constant in his life was now nothing more than an echo of the past.
Lloyd had hoped that the last step of the mountain would give him clarity. That he would know where to go once he reached the bottom. No. There was still nothing. He had nothing.
You are nothing.
The voices that taunted him weren’t wrong. Being a ninja was all he had. The only life he’d had outside of it was petty crimes. He had nothing. He was nothing. No life. No family. No friends. Not now. Not after everything.
Something about this was different. When Zane had died, why hadn’t he quit? Why hadn’t he given up? Guilt struck his body; his neck burned with shame. Had he not cared enough? No. He was distraught. He overworked himself. It was all to get that loss out of his mind. Why couldn’t he do that now? Where was the desire to keep going? He wasn’t supposed to quit. He never quit.
Oh, but he had.
He wasn’t going back, either.

palisade 43
man. incredible episode.
really pulling the entire divine cycle together—calling back to the hypha, to strati, to volition—and the whole sweep of partizan/palisade.
extremely cute intro. hopping back on air (while high) to freestyle for the entire twilight mirage, honor the dead, drop one “valence” in there real quick, and get out again. parti rights. we’re baaack~ :D
thisbe this episode: hooting hollering etc. worldwide resonance!! her conversation with volition was really compelling. it did strike me that volition seemed to approach the question of divine autonomy from a rather individualist angle (just think yourself free! let people do what they want!), which i suspect is an artifact of (a) living in a supportive community for 500 years & so somewhat forgetting the importance of that, and (b) being volition. i do think that thisbe is on the right track in the principality context, looking toward community building.
also it’s so funny that volition just is an obsidian orb again sometimes. trans rights
brnine this episode: describing grief as a disconnect from your past akin to leaving entire planets is so perfect for brnine. also devastating. loved the sandwich callback as well, that was one of my favorite twilight mirage beats.
am pulling together thoughts about brnine getting challenged to stay in the mirage or leave and fight. when you’ve been defending the distant concept of an ideal, how do you handle the reality of it—especially when that reality is something you were never meant to see, and is so disconnected from the circumstances of your life and your cause. but of course brnine’s tied their life entirely to their idea of keeping up the fight, and haven’t thought that anyone they’re honoring could ever have wanted anything else. (it is also: blue channel going back at the end of partizan.)
have we considered the possibility that ali isn’t gonna have brnine say valence’s name unless and until it’s with their last words
on that note: you know, if someone was terrified of dying, but also sort of craved death, and also grounded their self-worth in their fight for their cause, it would seem awfully appealing to be promised endless life as long as you don’t stop moving. very here for jesset’s motion era. i don’t think there’s enough left of motion to take an elect… is this a dark mirror of integrity? something burrowing in? jesset’s brain gets hooked into that mech…
but also what do we think he’d pick for his elect name if he did pick one. has to be a plant, right? and he already has another naming scheme to fit as well… i think it should be catnip
eclectic this episode: of course he’s trying to arrest the divine who killed his squadmate in front of him, aka the first chapter of every noir procedural ever.
what is futgure doing ohhhhh my god
hey also we still don’t know dre’s new character? many questions
cori this episode: SO glad she’s joined perennial. love this for her. also the… black russian sage wings???? excellent. her entire conversation with perennial was so moving—reaching out to figure and finding their god doing the same is such a piece of tragedy. and the way the need to protect is shared among the three of them—have not stopped thinking about figure just wanting to see cori safe and happy. and then cori holding perennial as she sobs.
“we were figure’s people” is exactly what i wanted someone to say but also ;-;
the conceit of doing a story in a time loop is that you’re gonna repeatedly say, well, can’t do it this time, better move on—which sucks when the loop is a revolution, right, because then it’s implied that liberation is a one in a billion chance and more than likely impossible. (fine starting place, frustrating ending.) but with perennial no longer able to turn back the clock, it gives cori room to declare that there’s no need to keep restarting, they can win it here and now. it’s never impossible. which i am glad for.
look i’m sure they’re just gonna do 1-2 more downtime eps and then 4-7 finale eps and that’ll be palisade but. clears throat. taps mic. It’s Gonna Be Really Funny When They Do Thirty More Episodes. ok that’s all

New Random Oneshot! I only edited through this once, so the quality may be poorer than I usually do.
(At the time of writing, I haven’t watched S3 yet, but still: Sonic Prime Spoilers!!)
Synopsis: After saving Sonic from the throes of death, Shadow wakes up back home. Within the next few minutes, he finds that their victory together may have come with unintended consequences (aka feelings). Read Below ⬇️
As blinding white light dissipated, Shadow the Hedgehog promptly fell flat on his face. His mind raced too fast, contrasting his body which had come to a complete and painful halt.
The first thing he noticed was the taste of grass.
Not rock or whatever the hell those shards in the void were— grass, green grass. The kind that belonged to home. He rolled over and barked out a laugh.
He’d never been more happy to eat dirt.
Man, if Sonic had heard him say that…
Oh, shit, Sonic—
Popping to his feet so fast he nearly fell back on his face— which was most definitely counterproductive— Shadow staggered, shaking off the static black and nausea of vertigo before looking around frantically for the blue hedgehog. The events moments prior flashed back through his head like a sick movie.
No no no, that idiot couldn’t have died right? He’s too stubborn to just disappear like that, this wasn’t happening, where—
Up in the distance, he heard the faint sound of yelling, barely audible against his rapid heart beat.
“Sonic, NO!”
Shadow immediately ran toward the sound, up the mountain. Instinctively, he reached into his quills, gloved fingers making purchase on a smooth gem— when had it come back?
No matter. It would get him where he needed to be, and that was all he cared about.
“Chaos control!”
………………………………
Shadow reappeared at the cavern entrance, immediately faced with the inexplicably idiocratic scene of Sonic hugging Eggman.
Of course, the villain didn’t take very kindly to Sonic’s sudden affection, promptly opening the cockpit of his mech and driving a fist into the hedgehog’s gut, eliciting an inappropriately surprised grunt. Shadow repressed the urge to facepalm. Really?
Sighing, he leapt Sonic’s rescue for the millionth time since that dumbass shattered reality.
Within seconds, Eggman’s mech sat mangled, kicked to the side of the cave and far away from the prism. The doctor let out a strangled squeak in fear.
Shadow didn’t pay him any more attention. The sound of metal crunching was one he had wished not to hear again for a long, long time. Stupid faker.
Speaking of his counterpart— “Hey Shadow! Nice timing!” Sonic grinned, peeling himself off the ground and, oblivious to his friends’ shocked looks behind him, hopped over to Shadow with an outstretched hand. “Up top!”
Shadow just huffed at the gesture, grabbing Sonic’s wrist and pulling the hand close to his face.
No transparency.
A sort of delayed relief flooded through him at that, and part of Shadow realized just how scared he’d been. That was a first for the ultimate lifeform.
“You’re okay.” He stated.
“Um. Yeah?”
“Well, that’s great,” Rouge remarked, flying over to where they stood. Her smile widened dramatically and she stared at the Paradox Prism with a bit of crazed fervor in her eyes. “I’ll be taking this beauty—”
She might as well have said she was going to kill someone, because both hedgehogs reacted with a violent jerk, lunging for the rock in unison.
“Wait no!”
“Chaos control!”
A flash of light left four friends wondering what in hell they just witnessed (and one evil genius quietly making a getaway).
………………………………
“Ugh.” Shadow spat, steadying the prism. “So what do we do with this thing?”
Sonic didn’t respond, which was surprising given that he never shut up (not even on the brink of death). The black hedgehog rolled his eyes and glared at him. “Well?”
Sonic stared at the ground, then up at Shadow, and cleared his throat quietly. “Uh. You can let go now?”
It was then that Shadow realized he still had a death grip on Sonic’s slender wrist.
Oh, he wished he could’ve disappeared right then, and he meant it with every fiber of his being.
Shadow didn’t know what was worse, the fact that his face was most definitely burning a cherry red, unable to give a proper explanation for this act, or the fact that part of him didn’t want to let go.
He settled on awkwardly retracting his hand and letting out a choked “Sorry.”
Sonic coughed and peeled his eyes away from Shadow’s face, for which he was grateful for. “I was thinking… maybe we could leave it in Tails’ Lab.”
“So you or your friends can break it again? Definitely not.” Shadow rebuked. “We should take it somewhere no one could chance upon by accident.”
“So why’d you even ask me?” Sonic pouted, tapping his foot impatiently. “If you got it figured out already then go ahead. I certainly don’t know any secretive places.”
Shadow paused at his statement.
Why had he brought Sonic along? Since when did he get that instinct?
…to keep him close?
“Shadow? Hellooooo—” Sonic waved his hand in front of a dazed face, effectively breaking Shadow’s trance. Emerald eyes peered worriedly into his own crimson. “What’s up?”
“Nothing.” He grumbled, turning away. But of course that didn’t work, because Mr. Annoying just stepped back into his line of view.
“Aw come on, don’t give me that,” Sonic said, circling him to keep eye contact. “You never act like this. Hmm…” Shadow could practically hear gears turning inside that peanut brain of his, and unfortunately, this time they worked. “...is it… wait. Don’t tell me you’re worried? About lil ol’ me?”
“Shut. Up.”
“Okay. Sorry, sorry.” Sonic gestured defensively at Shadow’s death glare. “But I’m fine, you don’t gotta worry.”
“It’s not that.” He snarled in response. Sonic just gave him the most unamused look.
“Well, what is it then? What’s the saying… penny for your thoughts?”
“It’s nothing.”
“It’s not nothing.”
“Shut up.”
“No.”
Shadow growled and imposed his fiercest glare on Sonic, hoping to scare him off, but his rival (Rival? Friend? Ally?) just stared back with equal intensity. “You don’t scare me, Shadow.”
“Well— you scared me!” Shadow admits, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could catch them. He dipped his head to focus on the ground instead, hoping futilely that it would swallow him whole. “I… I thought that… you… I thought that you were going to… that you would—”
“Die?” Sonic put a hand to Shadow’s chin, tilting his head up to meet his eyes. Shadow scowled but didn’t deny it.
There was silence for a few seconds, neither hedgehog knowing what to say.
What kind of words could fix seeing someone nearly slip from reality? …in your very arms?
Maybe there was some magic phrase that would sooth that pain, but none of them knew it. They weren’t exactly the best at communication, after all, seeing as they fought things out most of the time.
Sonic eventually pulled away and broke the stillness with a sigh. “Shadow. I… I don’t know what you want to hear. It’s probably not that I don’t regret my… decision. But that’s the truth— Gosh, this is awkward. Amy was always better at this… I’m getting side tracked, aren’t I?” He rambled, glancing up at Shadow to see if he was still listening. Shadow gestured for him to continue. There was no harm, right?
“Look. I… it was risky, but it was better than the alternative, right? And it worked! I lived, even! You guys saved me. It’s okay.”
“You expected to die?”
Sonic winced. “Uhh— I… yeah. That’s not the point, though—”
“What do you mean, that’s not the point?!” Shadow exploded, causing Sonic to back up. “That’s not okay, idiot! Do you think I could’ve lived knowing you sacrificed your life to save mine?!”
“And the others,” Sonic piped, then cringed at the face Shadow made. “Wrong answer, wrong answer. I—”
He was interrupted by Shadow pulling him into a tight hug. “You selfless moron. The answer is no.”
For a few seconds, Sonic was too stunned to speak or reciprocate the gesture. Then he hugged Shadow back, squeezing him tighter than the other had gripped him moments away from entering the gateway. “I-It’s okay, Shads. I’m fine now.”
“Tell me you won’t try something like that again.”
“...no promises. But I hope it won’t come to that.”
“Sonic.” Shadow tangled himself and held the hero at arm's length. He just let out a laugh, and Shadow found that he couldn’t be angry at those sparkling emerald eyes. “Just… try. Please?”
“Mhm. You should know by now, Shads,” Sonic grinned, “I kinda suck at dying.”
Shadow couldn’t help the smile that formed on his face, which he tried in vain to hide.
“You smiled! I saw it!”
“Did not.”
“Did to!”
“Just admit it, Shadow, you’re not as grumpy as you seem.”
Shadow rolled his eyes but didn’t deny his statement. Sonic took his silence as agreement and cheered. “I knew you were soft on the inside! Just couldn’t resist my charm, could you?”
He looked so happy as he picked up the prism that Shadow swallowed the quip he was going to make. In the scattered rainbow light, Sonic was… was pretty.
Ugh, stupid skittles rock. Messing with his thoughts.
He hoped Sonic couldn’t see the blush that tinted his cheeks as he hooked arms and teleported them away.

Things I think would be Interesting to see in the second half of the season.
Spoilers for Dragons Raising Below:
I really do hope Jay & Cole are not together, not because I don’t like them together, but because their characters do really cool things when they are away from the other ninja.
First of Jay, who is the ninja who has had twice to lose all of the team without warranty that they could come back. How would he react when he finds himself alone in the blink of an eye? What will he do? How is he going to keep going?
I do think there is a chance we will be seeing a very different version of Jay, one that has become harder by having to survive years by himself in a land he doesn’t know. Jay has a tendency being loved by people… So imagine Jay is now ruling over a kingdom far away from where Ninjago once was, a kingdom that despite the merge has not connected with the rest of the land. Helping a community fight off Monsters that appeared after the Merge, having his own army… I don’t know, this are just my hopes, but I think it will be interesting to see something like this from the character that usually just takes the beating, you know?
Still on Jay… I don’t want him to be completely alone… I think that at some point after he gets to rule the Kingdom he should find Pixal, if anything I think Pixal should be the one helping him rule. Pixal and Jay, for 2 characters with so much in common, have barely interacted through the show and I would like for that to be fixed. They have similar interests, and I think that Jay’s self deprecating humor would bounce off pretty well from Pixal’s no nonsense one.
So imagine, Pixal wakes up in a land near the kingdom, survives by herself, too far away to try to reach Ninjago. Eventually Jay hears about a Mech flying around fighting monsters and he knows it has to be her, they stay working together after that.
And Now we go to Cole… and I am going to be honest and admit my biased feelings, he is my favorite, so, if he ends up being the last one we find I’ll be okey… if it is something similar to this:
When Cole is separated from the main group two things trend to happen: he either 1) starts a revolution, or 2) gets a new power up… And hey, if they start teasing that Cole is death once again wouldn’t it be fucking awesome if the dude was chilling in some unreachable place with a new set of powers?
I think it is very unlikely to find Cole completely by himself, he tends to make friends easily, so if he had to protect his new found friends from an enemy, l do believe the dude would have end up unlocking a new ability just by pushing himself. Earth and Energy have been shown to be very versatile elements so I would honestly not be surprised.
On that note, I lied, there is another thing I would be okey with seeing, and is Cole retiring… but not quite.
I am not so sure about how willing the show is the get rid of Cole after everything with Kirby Morrow (may he Rest In Peace), but if they wanted for Cole to take a step back in the show, I think a good way of doing it would be to give Cole a kid.
Imagine, the Ninja hear about an elemental master of Earth, they are happy and think this is their clue to find Cole. The find the elemental master but she is just a little girl. She would join the team and Cole would be back but he would became more of a background character who spends his time in the monastery helping out/ training the kids but not so much in missions. Kinda like Mysako in the earlier seasons (in rewards of screen time, not behavior). But this is probably not going to happen, who knows, I just want him to have kids, he would be a very good dad.
I just hope the second half is good, man.

Day 5, Prompt 1 of @tamlinweek: Shapeshifter
Notes: I've already written a couple of Shapeshifter-Faerie Tamlin scenes, so I wanted to see if I could put a twist to the prompt. So, welcome to Pacific Rim!AU ACOTAR. This fic is ongoing and multi-ship.
I'll probably put the masquerade prompt in this fic, too. Trust the process 👌
Read Courting the Apocalypse on AO3 or below the cut.
THE FIRST ATTACK
They came out of nowhere—somewhere deep in the sea, a place no one could follow.
The first attack happened in Australia, on the coast, and before long the massive creature was dragging itself into the city, destroying the lives of thousands. It had taken five days for the air force to take it down, in tandem with the military, and any other goddamn fighting force at our disposal. But the damage was done.
We called these creatures kaiju.
And that first guy? That first big, ugly, fucker? We called him Hybern—a level one kaiju that came back after the winter. We thought we had him, but whatever death we saw was a retreat. He waited, recuperated and hibernated until it popped up on our sensors again.
After the first attack, we knew we needed to change. We need to get bigger, faster, stronger. We needed to defy what we were in physicality by using what set us apart as the dominant species of this planet—our brilliance. We were no longer at the top of the food chain, but not for long.
And that is how the Jaeger program was born.
Giant mech suits that allowed us to change our shape and meet those things on a level playing field. We were knights—fuck, we were goddamn superheroes. We were anything but helpless little humans once the world came together and started sharing all their innovations, coming together against a single enemy. We could be whatever we wanted, fight in whatever way felt right. Plasma guns? Check. Swords? Check. Rocket launchers? Hell yeah.
But it wasn’t always good, and it wasn’t always shit.
My father was a part of the initial Jaeger Program, and he was the commander of Western Shatterdome of the Pan-Pacific Defense Force. My brothers were rockstars. They were the first dual pilot-team—the first soldiers who were able to set aside their hangups, their wants and needs, and blend into one another as one. They became our cause, and they became everything we needed.
Until me and my co-pilot killed them.
PRESENT DAY
“You need a new partner.”
“No.”
“Tam, will you slow down.”
“No.”
The auburn-haired soldier jogs beside his friend until he can stand his way; he can barely get Tamlin to stop, and much less look at him. A thick white bandage covers his eye, and Lucien knows that’s exactly why his friend won’t look at him. He sighs, trying to catch his gaze.
“It wasn’t your fault. None of it was. Not this, not what happened back then. If that’s what’s stopping you—”
“It’s not.” Tamlin snaps, looking at the metal walls of the hallway. The shatterdome isn’t made for comfort, it’s cold, utilitarian efficiency. Right now, it’s a lot more comforting than the warmth (and forgiveness) Lucien is offering him. “I’m done.”
After two partners, both of which that ended in some kind of tragedy, Tamlin gets the message. He’s not made for this fucking life. He can’t keep his partner safe, and he sure as hell can’t help his other teammates. What? Lucien doesn’t think he knows what they say about him? The PPDC are a superstitious bunch; the rangers have their rituals, and he wouldn’t be surprised that on their next deployment, if they manage to coerce him to get into one of those godforsaken machines again, they’d steer clear of him. Bad luck is contagious.
“Just go see. Andras found her manning an abandoned model two alone. Do you know how insane that is? Do you know who the only other pilot is who did that successfully? Will you,” Lucien snaps, grabbing Tamlin’s face to look at him. “It’s not your fault. I’ve been in your head. I know that you’re beating yourself up over guilt that doesn’t belong to you. I knew what I was in for signing up for this shit.”
His amber eyes search Tamlin’s emerald ones, finding all the grief he wishes wasn’t there. Lucien sighs, shoulders slouching.
He remembers the first time he jumped into Tamlin’s head—the fear and the anger had been so overwhelming. More importantly, the desperate cry to keep others out of his head was deafening. Lucien wonders if he’s the one that’s in the wrong, if he’s asking Tamlin to sacrifice himself for ‘the cause’.
“There’s so few of us left,” he says softly. Pilot compatibility has dropped over the years. Hell, there isn’t even enough people to test. The war against these monsters has worn hope down. “Someone has to believe in the PPDC. If it could be me, you know I’d free you.”
“If it’s not you, I’m not doing it,” Tamlin says softly. “We are one.” He shaped himself to Lucien—he slotted himself against his heart and mind. To abandon Lucien is to abandon a part of himself. It has to be him.
But it can’t. The second Lucien steps into the Drift, he’ll rob both of them of their left peripheral view. He knows they could adapt; he knows that Tamlin is so damn stubborn, he’d give Lucien his sight back like a healing, avenging angel. Pair that weight along with the responsibility Tamlin feels for Lucien, he’d be taking too much of the mental load. It’s a risk that he can’t take.
Lucien pulls Tamlin close, pressing their forehads together. “Just because I’m not in there with you, doesn’t mean I won’t be there with you.”
Tamlin eases at his touch, and listens. He closes his eyes, latching onto that familiar voice that’s lived in his mind for years.
“I’ve asked for a transfer to LOCCENT. I might not be in your head, but I’ll be in your ear.” Lucien grins.
“What?" You’ve been planning this the whole time?”
“Yeah? Do I look like a quitter to you?”
No, Lucien doesn’t quit. Lucien is a fighter, through and through. To think, they’d sold Lucien to Tamlin as the failure of a legacy family, just like he was. To think, they’d made the best team—brain and brawn.
“Fine, I’ll go see her.”
“Good man,” Lucien pats Tamlin’s cheek, affectionately. His smile falters, as his hand slips to Tamlin’s shoulder. “I need you to know. He’ll be there. He’s still looking for a partner.”
Well, fuck.
