And no I simply cannot :( I have one main research class, which is taught by that hot professor HAHA but in that class we have to replicate studies in order to see because there’s like a huge replication crisis in psychology research or whatever lol and I think my group chose something about a dogs and humans idk!? And the other class is not a research class but our main project for the class is researching a sex myth and like provide evidence and stuff. Oh I am a STEM lady through and through. Everyone on tumblr, in the past, has been shocked about this given my “good” writing and whatnot. But my heart belongs to Pythagoras and Newton. That’s FASCINATING to me about the replication. I teach a section of AP statistics and we have a chat about why replication is so vital to a good study/experiment so it really paints a different picture when I think about stuff I read.

Omg group project?!?! 🙃🔫 I HATE group work. I always end up doing the most because I’m a psychopathic control freak. Also I think every group project I’ve ever been in is composed of me and the three dumbest people they accepted my year of college. I know it’s harsh and sounds super elitist of me but it’s MIND BOGGLING. I’m here to get a good grade. Ugh it seems this is my trigger 😂😂😂

I actually read book number three today 🙈🙈🙈 Christina Lauren again. Roomies. The male lead had an Irish accent so I was SCREWED. Gave me an idea for my own writing 🙃 but I literally couldn’t put it down! I bought myself a habit tracker so I am trying to do be my best self in 2024. in case you're wondering what I listen to on repeat all the time while writing fic

i also have indiana evans's other songs but they're on 🤢 spotify. they go so hard in HQ tho so it's worth the struggle. not really a fan of Amy Ruffle's songs, tho I do like In My Garden bc it's a certified bop. she has a great voice don't get me wrong they're just not my style and do not have the nostalgia factor (i was in HS when it released)

... do you know how much it upsets me that we've never gotten an official OST release with ALL the official tracks? like Last Time by The Wells (plays for a maximum of 30 seconds in two Mako Mermaids episodes) or Bella Becomes a Mermaid (one of the prettiest tracks in the entire series!!!) I'm kinda debating emailing them again to ask once more for an official soundtrack release (the last time I emailed them they sent me a bunch of signed Mako Mermaids pngs, it was really cute lol).

I would imagine they're still using some of the songs in the Bureau of Magical Things if Ricky Edwards's webpage is to be believed, but I don't watch Bureau beyond hearing about all the new totally non-canon mermaid stuff...

- I love how well the aristocats mix with the alley cats. There really was no prejudice at all

- This is one of the best party scenes in movie history. The dancing, the vibrant color palette, the vibes, the mix of cats from different classes, the music that keeps growing in intensity and stops when duchess starts playing but then keeps growing again until the house literally goes down. I love that visual so much. And they keep singing through the streets of Paris with broken instruments. The vibes of this crew are immaculate.

- O’Malley looking at duchess and the kittens with such affection…. He really loves them already

- I will romanticize Paris till the end of my days. The rooftops alone make my heart race. I cant explain it. I love Paris

- Thomas and duchess’s talk on the rooftop is so personal and romantic and simple and domestic and real ugh this is such a good scene. Many couples wish they had the intimacy these fictional cats share. Like the way they put the kittens to sleep to have a moment alone under the moonlight like 2 teenagers but she’s a single mom and rich girl and he think she doesn’t like his house and his friends but she does she assures him his friends are lovely and just wishes the house was cleaner cause he’s messy and she’s not but she is casually mentioning how she wants it to have a female touch aka her touch which sounds like she wants to share the house with him and he wants it too and they are in love but only now met and she has kids to care of but he doesn’t mind cause he loves her and he also likes the kittens and thinks they might need a dad aka he wants to be their dad but she has a worried owner to go back to but they wanna be together but he understands she has to go ugh it’s so good so good, the layers on this whole scene eye- AND THEIR TAILS OMFG

- The way edgar’s fake ass is calling the cats when the woman comes to the door to call for them 😭😭

- The poor mouse always with his neck on the line

- THE MAN DUMPING HIS WINE AFTER SEEING THE MOUSE RUN AFTER THE CATS BYE

- Idk if I have a fave cat…. I like them all….. I think we all have a fondness for Marie but the other kittens are equally as amazing. I probably like her and Berlioz the most but I love them all

- I wanted to finish my disney marathon before encanto but that’s just not gonna happen with the pacing I’m taking 💀 now the goal is to finish it before the end of the year but that also seems unlikely…. So I guess I’ll try at the very least till encanto is available for free on disney+ so it can be part of the marathon too

so i passed out last night 🤡 i'll read everything tomorrow after my engineering exam but i shall spill the tea akhbdfn

so my uni has this festival thing going on for three days similar to the rodeo? but on a smaller scale (not naming it for privacy reasons)

so obviously i was planning to go with a couple of my friends but in the last minute i find out that they're all going with their s/os which makes it more awkward for me because,, i'm the only single one... and i didn't want to third wheel the entire evening akbhdfn

but lucky for me one of the people in the group brought his friend who by the way was actually pretty cute and vv nice 👀 who had came home from his uni for the weekend so we both ended up hanging out for a majority of the time because we were the trademark singles of the group akbjdfn :D

the evening was going fine, we were enjoying all the booths and food trucks there and whatnot and we saw that there was a roller skating area so me being me decided to drag him over there because i love roller skating sm and why not do a semi adrenaline inducing event with a cute guy i mean what

so we get our roller skates and begin skating, but what i do not know is that this man has never skated in his entire life so i'm standing there trying to drag his ass across the rink while reassuring him that he won't fall over and break something lol

and it's going nice!! we're having fun!! we're holding hands because that's the only way that he's going to get across the damn rink!! we're laughing to much that our stomachs hurt and we're wheezing!!

and then shit goes down

whenever i laugh i usually throw my head back and after i did that i was laughing so hard that i was wheezing so naturally i did the hands on knees squat thing to catch my breath and when i looked up istg i saw my entire life flash in front of my eyes BECAUSE ONE OF MY FAMILY FRIENDS WAS THERE WATCHING THIS ENTIRE INTERACTION OF US HOLDING HANDS AND NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT IF SOMEONE SAW THAT WITH NO CONTEXT THEY WOULD HAVE THOUGHT WE WERE ON A ROMANTIC DATE AKDBJFNKM someone take me out

sksjsjs no one asked for it, but after hearing everyone’s first impressions of enha (which if anyone still wants to tell me about theirs, pls do so, i love hearing about them), i wanna tell mine too! bc mine of jay’s- ,,,, yeah 😭 so get ready for a long story time lol. also all of these impressions were from i-land <3 (and for more context, i started and finished watching i-land just after all the eps were aired)

so starting with heeseung, he seemed pretty cool but intimidating ngl. i think cuz he was so well known among the trainees for being so talented, he just kinda intimidated me lol. i was still trying to learn who was who at the time, but i remember that ep where he became the leader of the group near the beginning of the show,, and if i’m being honest, my impression of him became kinda,, bad? ahh i’m sorry don’t come for me 😭✋🏻 i barely even knew him at the time 😭 i thought he was a pretty serious, cold guy. but now, i adore him and i love him sm. he has such a funny, caring personality and he’s so talented. i love him sm 🥺

and for jay, honestly this applies to most of the members, esp sunghoon (maybe cuz they came in together?) but i didn’t really know who he was at all at the time and he didn’t really stand out. i didn’t even know he was jay until probs many eps later tbh 😭 ok this is where it gets,,, idek 😭 i’m a bit ashamed, that’s what 😭 ok so my first impression of him rlly started during the beginning of the whole r.a.s era. and when he kept volunteering to take the parts but never got voted for them, i rlly felt so bad for him. and i felt like,, ugh idek. anyways, i think bc produce x 101 was the survival show i watched not too long prior to i-land, i thought these trainees were a lot older than they were. skdjsjjd i thought,,,, i thought jay was like at least 24 😭😭 he just seemed so persistent and experienced idk 😭 so when i eventually found out he was born in ‘02,, the reaction i had man 😭✋🏻 it was truly shocking news to me (in a good way ofc) i’m sorry jay 😭 i feel so bad 😭 he doesn’t even look old or anything. idk what my 15 year old self was thinking 😔 also i’ll never forget when jay straight up drank honey mid interview to relieve his stress- pls i found (and still find) that hilarious ✋🏻

anyways moving on- jakey! k before watching i-land, i had a glance at all the members profiles and their names, so obv the name ‘jake’ would stand out to me, being one of the only english names in i-land. for fun, me and my friends also made final lineup predictions based on just the names of the trainees,, and if i remember correctly, i don’t think i put jake’s name on the list 😭✋🏻 just knowing the name ‘jake’ before i-land, ig i didn’t have a super good impression of him? probs cuz the only jake i rlly knew was- 🤢 ja- jake pa- 🤢 jake paul 🤢🤮 ahemsjdjdjd so yes anyways- i don’t associate him and mr. jakey sim at all so yeah. but so when i first thought of the name ‘jake’ i just didn’t have the best impression of him sjdjsjd but when i first saw jake walk into i-land, i was like, “oh so that’s jake!” not in like a necessarily good or bad way. just neutral. and then after that, i tried to keep my eyes open for him more. it def wasn’t love at first sight that i can remember,, which i hAVE NO IDEA WHY BC SKSJSJ WAS I B L I N D ??!!!? i-land jake was gorgeous pLS- anyways i think it took me a while to actually put his name to his face but- ok remember when he,, when he lifted up his shirt in the practice room and would show off his,,,, abs?? sksjksjsjsj well that’s not smth i’m rlly drawn to in guys and that kinda set my impression of him a little low i’m sorry 😭 you guys know i’m the biggest jake stan so don’t come for me pls 😭 it wasn’t til after i-land tho, i think shortly after i-land that i fell in love with him. and sadly, i can’t even remember why i did. i try hard to remember but i can’t 😭 i think it might’ve just been cuz i started thinking he was rlly cute. and then i found this jake compilation on yt that i would watch multiple times a day for like a whole week- that’s when i knew i fell for him 😭 and it wasn’t til recently that i remembered the abs and muscles clips from i-land. it’s so weird yet cool cuz i think of him so differently now. jake also just has an insane duality. but yes,,, i love you jake 🥺😭💗

for hoon, like i said before, i didn’t quite know who he was at first and he didn’t rlly stand out to me? tbh yk that iconic part in i-land where he first comes in and the camera is just on his face where everyone admired his visuals? for some reason,, i don’t remember ever seeing that the first time 😭 for some reason his visuals didn’t stand out to me much until later in or after the show. idk what was up with 15 year old em back then i swear- yeah tbh i don’t rlly remember much about my first impression of him. i kinda just got to know him v slowly over time, so i don’t actually rlly have much of a first impression of him :(

sunoo! hmm tbh, the same as jay and hoon, he didn’t rlly stand out much 😭 srsly what was wrong with me back then? 🙄😭 i was still getting to know their names and that was probs just what i was most focused on at the time. i do remember thinking at some point in the show that he was a complete vocalist,, bc that boy- that boy can sing. when i tell you this boy’s voice is underrated, i’m not 👏🏻 lying 👏🏻 i’m literally in love with his voice. there’s just smth about it. i even made a post just about his voice before pls. i def thought he was a more outgoing, bubbly guy, esp after the whole convo w sunghoon about him being cuter than jake skdjdkdj originally, i also thought he wasn’t going to debut,, i’m sorry don’t come for me i don’t even remember why i thought that. but that was early on in the show so i didn’t rlly have much to go off of. before i could even begin adding him onto my final lineup prediction, i got spoilers that he would debut 😭 he was the first member i got spoiled with and i ended up getting a total of 4 or 5 of the members spoiled before i could even finish the show 😭 and i tried sO HARD to not get spoilers- 😔😔

oooh wonie! my first ever bias 🥺 tbh the first time i rlly knew jungwon was in maybe the first or second ep? it was when heeseung was the leader and was watching all the i-landers dance individually to the choreo of ‘into the i-land’ and as a dancer myself, jungwon completely stood out to me. right when he started dancing, i immediately sat up in my seat, rubbed my eyes and watched him with so much attention. jungwon has always been one of the best dancers in my eyes since then. right after i saw him dance that time, i made sure to remember his name. him and niki were probably the two boy’s i could name first. also, there were many times i got jungwon and geonu mixed up- idk why. they just looked so similar to me at the time and there were so many times i got lowkey so confused between the two skdjdjdj

and last but not least, riki! ever since all the i-landers entered i-land, niki just stood out to me. idek why. but right when i could, i was just like, “i’m gonna choose him and i’m gonna root for him all the way through. i’m calling it, he’s gonna debut.” oooh em out here spitting bars or what?? skdjdj- but yes i thought he was rlly adorable at first. and then later in the first ep i thought he was a little bit of a bratty kid ngl skdjjddj also, i thought he was older than me bc at the time, it was still so knew to have idols who were born in ‘05. so when i found out how old he rlly was, i was shocked and i felt sad for myself that i was older than him. the things he’s already accomplished at such a young age,, meanwhile there’s me over here writing fanfiction about boys who live on the other side of the world who don’t even know i exist 💔 but anyways- riki was my #1 in i-land since day 1 😌
