Moriarty the Patriot meta:
The Man: James Bonde, Agency and Gender Euphoria
[yuukoku no moriarty spoilers for anime/manga scandal in Bohemia arc] [also this got so long wow who would have thought i had so many thoughts about my best boy]
[he/him pronouns for yuumori Bonde/Adler, she/her pronouns for Holmes-canon Adler]
Everything about the James Bonde reveal is so perfect to me. It’s Holmes-canon that Irene feels comfortable cross-dressing so that would be a fun slightly unhinged direction to take even though it could go so wrong and I was so braced for it to be a Bad Take.
Tumblr media
I was so ready to have my heart broken but you beat the odds you stunning son of a gun
But then. Irene/Bonde becomes a perfect transmasculine fantasy, Irene is The Woman and Bond(e), who he becomes instantly and nearly seamlessly, is most definitely The Man, always the embodiment of super cis hetero masculinity, reincarnated forever to fit whatever that means for the times. (We like hairy womanizers because it’s the 70s so that’s who Bond is. We like Conflicted Dark Thoughtful Protagonists because it’s the 00s so that’s who Bond is. Etc.) And now. And NOW. Bond is again THE MAN, perfect masculine sex symbol, evolved from The Woman, a character who was actually a gender symbol to Holmes, and then became a more conventionally-understood sex(ualized) symbol only by repeated reinterpretation, meaning, yknow, lazily written misogynistic takes on Adler.
(I am forever yelling about how No One Understands A Scandal in Bohemia so, quick explanation of what I mean by that:) Adler’s whole (Holmes-canon) deal was taking back agency over her love life and sexual decisions from men who by default didn’t believe she deserved that autonomy. And then basically every adaptation of A Scandal in Bohemia has gone and done that to her metatextually by making her a manipulative criminal mastermind and/or some kind of super famous courtesan and/or serial blackmailer, explaining her behavior the maximally sexy way rather than honoring the (imho) more interesting original motivation to just move on from an old relationship but not believing she’d be allowed to do so without drastic measures. And also her non-criminal background is so much more interesting as a foil for Sherlock Holmes in that she’s not trained over a lifetime to be that foil, she is a regular fairly clever person who just happens to be overlooked by his prejudice, a lesson he explicitly tries to take to heart, making her “The Woman,” his personal model of all womanhood, remembering her as a worthy adversary.
And this version gets the same sexist setup, except that Adler made it up. Sherlock gets to learn the same lesson but Adler is involved in something totally different, and the whole Scandal in Bohemia story was a fabrication — Adler doesn’t just finally get agency back, Adler basically gets authorship of the canon story. (The government secrets situation, the actual tension in this version, is obviously out of Adler’s control but also kind of out of everyone’s hands.) And I think it’s important that Adler plays this role of a woman, The Woman, perfectly, to set up what comes later. I am reminded of a Daniel Lavery essay about the transmasculine impulse to defend one’s prior femininity — “a desire to maintain that one didn’t transition out of necessity but desire: being a woman is hard but I was good at it, I think is the underlying anxiety, nobody fired me, I quit.” The perfection of Irene Adler’s presentation as a woman neatly prevents the idea that transition might be an action taken with a kind of resignation (“I failed to be a woman”) rather than agency and positive desire (“I am and wanted to be a man”), relating nicely to agency and personal choice as a major theme from Holmes-canon Adler.
So then Moriarty the Patriot takes James Bond, The Man, a sex symbol but always in control of his sexuality because his masculinity grants him that privilege, and bestows that identity on a character whose sexuality has always been textually and metatextually out of that character’s hands. And he’s perfect at it, immediately, his transition is instantaneous (and with later argument only from Moran the stock Straight Guy Who Doesn’t Quite Get It, and his status as a man is not even defended so much as stated: it’s a basic, obvious fact confirmed by William as the voice of leadership and Louis as the voice of pragmatism). The transition scene obviously brought to mind another moment that looms large in my personal transmasc mythos, the Disney Mulan fantasy of cutting off your hair and that magically Makes a Man Out of You, except Mulan spends the movie kind of being visibly bad at Man Things and earns her power when she returns to her gender like masculinity was the unknown land on the hero’s journey, and Bonde’s hair cut scene equally set my brain on fire but with the payoff of actually being instant magical transition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at him!!!!! That’s the man!!!!!!!!
I don’t know how other people feel about the name situation (certainly at least a little unusual to not choose one’s own) but I personally love the idea that Bonde is granted a shared first name, a brotherhood, and gets to choose his last name and discard the patronymic, breaking with patriarchal tradition but fitting into a new kind of family that has some of its own customs which he gets to be a part of. (This also fits the queer life pattern of learning about queer identity and culture by horizontal/peer association (brotherhood) rather than vertical/family association (fatherhood). Or more simply, hey look Found Family Trope.)
And this interpretation feels so joyous to me. Amidst all the crime drama we get a relatively positive and bright and uncomplicated character who is taking visible joy in his new identity, strutting around town being The Man, late to important mission meetings because he wants to try out a new car, flirting and winking all the time because now he gets to be in charge of that kind of interaction, inventing new drinks that sound pretty terrible, being playfully over-familiar with everyone he meets. I love that some of this borrows from who he was as Adler, and some of it manages to re-cast the sort of icky James Bond tradition of reveling in masculine power into simple fresh gender euphoria — arguably the performance of Bond’s hypermasculine persona was always a certain kind of gender euphoria, but too often at women’s expense, and now it’s not, because this Bonde is explicitly a little protective of women’s boundaries, taking the bar fight opportunity to get someone out of an uncomfortable situation, and being only reservedly flirtatious with Moneypenny (again we use Moran for Slightly Confused Straight Guy contrast here).
And this choice of Bonde’s origin also feels so generous to me, a gift for my little gay heart. “James Bond is yours now, transmascs,” says Moriarty the Patriot, “it’s your time to be The Man.” I just. Love this series so much. It’s always the opposite of queer baiting. It’s a subtle invitation to a queer feast, with a family who would happily and immediately call you brother if that’s what you ask.

for pride month, i figured i'd do a non-exhaustive list of people/looks that have given me gender envy and inspired my sense of style as a transmasculine fellow.
this post is about to be long and also likely 'cringe' (which is dead, so i do not let it dictate my decisions, but just in case a non-mutual reads this and wants to send me hate-mail for my 'bad' taste: I KNOW.) since it includes several people i worshiped as a tweenager. if you don't wanna see me talking about five billion emo men, then you probably don't wanna read this :^)
Tumblr media
mulan (1998) was one of my first experiences with gender-nonconformity and experimentation. her dissatisfaction with living as a woman and her shame with feeling that way deeply resonated with me, and her transition into ping lit up light bulbs in my tiny mind, as well as the scene in which she is outed against her will due to an injury.
-
Tumblr media
from a very young age, i've always kinda wanted to embody the swagger of freddie mercury. i would say that as a 6 or 7-ish year old i experienced my first bout of true gender envy over him. i wished i could look and sound like a man because of him. i ended up shoving down these feelings for many years due to internalized shit and outside influences. yet he still remains forever in my heart as a major influence both as an artist, an outfit composer, and a person.
-
Tumblr media
eddie van halen is cool as shit. idk man. i dig his style. these patch work pants did irreparable damage to my psyche.
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ryan ross was a big idol of mine as a tween and still continues to inspire me to this day. i wished i could do my makeup like him and have his fop-y floppy 60s mop cut, which was probably the beginning of my obsession with having hair that looks Like That.
*bren.don. ur.ie gets a dishonorable mention here bc i don't wanna talk about him but when i was 13 i also wanted his p.o. era mop sooo bad like soo bad i was planning on getting my hair cut like that for real but instead life happened and i haven't had my hair cut since like 2019 and now i've committed to it being a mile long.
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pete wentz is at the forefront of writers that i would say have influenced my works. his influence is just about inseparable from anything i've done since 2018 at least. he just, like, gets me, you know? including, of course, his fashion sense, which lingers still through my daily wardrobe.
on the right, i added a pic of him recently that made me lose my mind.
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i'm grouping william beckett and gabe saporta together because both are scene fellows who had lesser but still notable affects on me. the former's hair and the latter's sense of style have stayed with me all these years for a reason, and that reason is because i wish i could look like them.
-
Tumblr media
renfield is just like me for real so of course i wish i could steal dwight frye's gender. the suspenders plus the vacant, hazy look in his eyes did things to me.
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the man, the myth, the legend, my most special of interests, mr sir peter wilton cushing obe. if i love him, and i feel unloved, then i must act like him and sound like him and look like him to feel truly loved, right? because i want someone to love me to the extent i love him? because i hate myself so much? it's psychosexual to me in a way but also 100% from my heart. i need to look like him ^
he cracked my egg. which i will be getting more into in the next entry. but! basically i realized that maybe it isn't normal to want to look exactly like a man, deeper voice and flatter chest and all. and then i was like what is stopping me from being trans actually besides other people's disapproval, which i had at that point stopped letting get in my way. so trans ellie canon and real from this point forward.
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sherlock holmes is an entirely separate entry on this list than peter cushing because sherlock is a fictional character that has been portrayed in many different mediums and by many different actors, many of whom i at least kinda want to look like.
but most of all, i want to be like him, the idea of sherlock holmes. a protector who saves the meek and weak and who persecutes the oppressors. he is good, he is just, and he is loved by nearly all. also he is a major fucking nutjob, like me. he inspires me so much. this yearning helped me realize who i wanted to be, who i am. it makes my heart glow with hope and pride knowing that someone who so obviously has so much 'wrong' (wrong like me) with them can not just be a hero, but also one of the most definitive heroes in history.
-
Tumblr media
adam ant's gnc swag.... idk man he ignited my historical obsession with highwaymen.
-
final thoughts:
i am so happy to be a trans fag ! my life is so much better since i realized that i am a boy ! 🥰🥰🥰 i am trying to experiment more with my appearance and i am loving it.

1, 2, 10, 11, 15, 19!
Thanks Syb! <3
1.What’s something new that you tried in a fic this year? How did it turn out and would you do it again?
I wrote erotica involving a trans character for the first time in A Proper Apology! (Well, technically he's not actually human and wasn't really assigned any gender at birth, but you know, basically I wrote him like he's trans.) As someone who's still in the process of figuring out a transmasculine identity myself, I often prefer to read and write fics where the characters are all cisgender because it's like, I'm here to have fun, I don't even want to deal with thinking about all that complicated stuff that affects my real life right now. But I'm happy to have given something different a try with this fic, and I hope it's something I'll be able to do more in the future as I get more confident in who I am. Shout-out to @glitterarygetsit for beta-reading that one and helping polish it!
2. How many fics did you work on this year? (They don’t have to be finished or published!)
Apparently I've published 16 (most of which are pretty short), and I also have my Yuletide fic about to be revealed and bring it up to 17! Then in my unfinished drafts I have at least 5 more, all of which are for Our Flag Means Death. The new season gave me so many ideas that I didn't finish all of them, but maybe I'll revisit some in the new year!
10. What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?
Probably my magnum opus, Tonight on Ring of Revenge! It's my longest fanfic and probably in my top 5 longest works of fiction I've completed in general, and it was really fun and satisfying to be able to gradually make a wild idea I had while watching wrestling work out. I'm really proud of it and it feels very unique to me - like plenty of other people are also great at writing the kind of horny one-shots I do a lot of, but no one else made the pirate wrestling AU, that's a Jaime Special
15. Rec a fic you wrote or posted in 2023
I'll do the same one I just answered - Tonight on Ring of Revenge! It loosely follows the overall plot of season 1 of OFMD but set in the modern era with the characters as pro wrestlers instead of pirates. Is that an extremely silly idea? Yes! Does it also actually suit the themes and characterization of the show really well? You bet! Are there ridiculous campy wrestling plots and choreographed fake violence and also sex? Hell yeah! I had a lot of fun doing research for it and I think there are plenty of details in there that wrestling fans will appreciate, but I also added plenty of author's notes explaining things for readers who are less familiar with wrestling. It's about 26k words and has a cute happy ending! Enjoy!
19. Share your favorite opening line
I think I have to go with this one from When You Like And Where You Like!
"We have three years of the past to discuss. Let that suffice until half-past nine, when we start upon the notable adventure of the empty house." As Sherlock Holmes leaned casually against the desk in my study, a self-satisfied smile on his pale and aquiline face, I was seized with a momentary urge to leap from my chair and throttle him.
The first line of dialogue is directly out of "The Adventure of the Empty House," and if I remember correctly, it precedes a bit of a timeskip to the story picking up later that night. The second line is me starting a little missing scene! I really enjoy writing stuff like this that follows canon closely and could arguably have happened in between without necessarily contradicting anything, and I think it's a solid opening in terms of how much it establishes in those first two sentences: if you've read this story you'll probably recognize that line and know immediately at what point in canon this is set, and you'll understand why Watson is angry and why this is something that deserves a missing scene to get into his reaction to what's going on more!

Tips for dark academia fashion
I've had a difficult time coming up with outfits for a few reasons so these tips are especially helpful for trans masculine people, autistic people or people who have sensory issues, and people trying to dress vegan.
-Try looking for clothes in second-hand stores.
It's better for the environment, and for the you.
The clothes are cheaper, so not as big of a deal if you change your mind about them later.
If you accidentally buy something that's made out of animals, like fur, leather or wool, it doesn't cause as much harm. Your money isn't going directly to a company that exploits/kills animals.
There's also a larger variety of clothes, so you can find things with the right textures that won't mess up you up.
Finally, a lot of the things are donated because they're older or out of fashion, which means it's a good collection of vintage clothing.
-Items to add to your wardrobe.
Waistcoats are really nice, especially if they're made out of a soft fabric. I have one made out of polyviscose with a polyesther lining, and it's so comfortable. And since it's secondhand, I don't feel bad about buying plastic. As for sensory issues, the waistcoat is kind of a nice sort of pressure and it makes me feel better when I'm walking around in public. Feels like a hug, 10/10.
Plaid flannel button-ups. I didn't think that it was particularly dark academia but it actually works really well as a second layer. Under a coat it just looks like a sweater vest or something, they're really nice. Again it's important that's it soft, and if it's a re-purposed pyjama top no one has to know. Plus flannel is usually vegan and made out of cotton, which is ethical and really comfortable.
Solid colour button ups. These are easy to pair with coats and plaid flannel layers. I bought a bunch of really comfortable button-ups from an op-shop, you can sleep in them if you wanted, they're lovely. The one I'm wearing now is a polyesther/cotton blend so again it's vegan.
Coats and jackets. I bought a jacket recently but it's a bit scratchy so it's been banished to the depths of my closet, lol. But hey it cost five bucks so who cares really. I also got a coat that is the love of my life. It's kind of heavy so that's a really nice pressure to have when you're out and about, very grounding. It also has inside pockets. I really recommend the inside pockets. Coats are very timeless and you see them a lot in like British tv (Endeavour, Doctor who, Sherlock) so I really associate them with vintage/dark academia. I'm not completely sure what my coat is made of as the label was torn/chewed off (part of the op-shop charm), but the lining feels like the lining of my waistcoat, kind of a viscous silky feeling. (Though hopefully it's not actually silk.) The outside is kind of a soft cottony feel. I don't think it's wool because I have a wool allergy and I would have perished by now.
Scarves. I bought a light blue viscose scarf which is really soft. You can also buy really light square scarves to hang on the walls for a bit of drama, especially if they have nice colours or pictures.
Pants. As for pants a straight leg black or brown pair would work with most outfits. I bought a polyester pair on sale at a hiking goods store, and they're really light and comfortable because of that.
Hats. They really do make an outfit vintage but, yeah. I've yet to find a hat that doesn't make me look strange. The reputation of fedoras have been forever sullied so we're not even going there. I'm currently on the hunt for a baker boy cap that doesn't make me look like an idiot, I will let you know if I ever succeed.
So some general tips when it comes to dressing vintage/dark academia with these limitations:
-Dressing to "pass" as a transmasculine dude.
They weren't lying button-ups really do help.
If you dress vintage, you might be read more a a guy. In the 1920s or similar time periods, people were more strict on separating men's and women's clothing, so old-fashion clothing is generally read as either feminine or masculine. Kind of depressing for people back then but at least we can use it to our advantage now-
If you're wearing a coat, flannel and button-ups, all of those layers can hide your chest so you don't have to worry as much about binding. Also the cut of the coat might be able to give you a more "masculine" shape and provide that good gender euphoria.
These layers don't cling to the body as much as cotton t-shirts, so even if you're just wearing one button-up it can hide things well and give you the shape you want.
These are donated by a bunch of older dudes so if you're like me they'll look huge on you. A lot of fashion sites say not to do this but personally I prefer looking like I'm drowning in a shirt. But if you want them to fit better you can alter them or kind of fold them into a waistcoat.
Rolling up your sleeves and buttoning them is pure gender euphoria. I love it.
-Dressing with ethical materials
Second hand clothing reduces your environmental impact and keeps clothes out of the landfill.
Using plant-based fibres instead of animal based ones means that animals aren't being harmed for your wardrobe. The moral issues with fur are present with all kinds of animal clothing, eg (and trigger warning) leather means that calves are shot, wool means that sheep are cut during shearing and eventually sent to slaughter, silk means that silkworms are boiled alive.
It can also be better for the environment as animal agriculture is a leading cause of climate change.
It can help human rights issues, as having to kill/handle animals can be mentally and physically harmful to workers. There's also the problems with leather tanning affecting water supplies and causing cancer in workers.
-Dressing for sensory issues
A lot of these materials like cotton, viscose and flannel are really soft so they won't cause sensory issues.
Feel free to go through op-shops and just touch fabric until you find something that's really comfortable. You don't have to settle, take home an outfit made of clouds and dreams. Plus op-shops have a lot of cool dark academia things like doilies, candleholders and antique paintings, so you'll probably want to go through them anyway. Might as well get some clothes while you're at it.
The low-cost can make it easier to quickly create a new wardrobe that doesn't make your skin want to escape.
Heavy coats or waistcoats can provide a pressure that's grounding and comfortable.
So there you have it, a very specific dark academia fashion guide. Hope it's helpful!

sexuality/gender headcanons about the sherlock gang
18+ (not really nsfw) content under the cut ♡
post author is bi & nonbinary! these are just my own personal hcs that i keep in mind when i write fic, it's 100% fine if you don't agree c:
sherlock holmes
homosexual, grey-aromantic transmasculine.
sherlock, despite public perceptions, has an absolutely average sex drive, but had never really felt romantic attraction in his life until he met john, and he can't imagine falling in love with anyone else. he spent a fair bit of time on hookup apps prior to meeting john. sherlock is KINKY.
he's known he felt more aligned with masculinity since he was very small, but never felt the need to go on hormones or have surgery, because he finds society's expectations of trans people restrictive and doesn't want surgical recovery to slow him down. he binds (sometimes unsafely, much to john's annoyance), and it does wonders for his dysphoria.
john watson
allo, bi cis man.
dating sherlock from the great game until the fall, and after mary's death. john's romantic attraction STRONGLY leans towards women and femmes, but sherlock is The One for him. he had a purely physical relationship with sholto when he was still in the army.
john's sex drive is actually super high.
mycroft holmes
allo, gay cis man
a lot of people assume mycroft is aro/ace, because he never seems to get himself involved with anyone. mycroft is married to his work, in the truest sense of the word, and simply doesn't have time for sex or relationships.
mycroft is in a bonded pair with his right hand.
greg lestrade
allo, straight cis man. (token cishet white man!)
dating molly, unofficially just after aSiB, officially asked her out in tSoT, when they were tipsy at john & mary's wedding. greg is super comfortable with his sexuality/masculinity and he's experimented plenty. before john & sherlock got together, he kissed john in the pub once, just to see if he'd like it. he had a fling with a bloke in police academy when he was young, but decided in the end that dudes weren't for him. he appreciates beauty in all genders, and isn't afraid to point out an aesthetically pleasing man. he's also VERY much an ally, most of his friends (and his girlfriend,, uwu) are queer. he fiercly protects his queer friends and coworkers.
greg is an absolute HORNDOG. filthy filthy filthy. he'd be doin' it every day if it was up to him. he's a pleasure/service dom and
molly hooper
demisexual, bi, cis woman.
dating greg. is pretty much split 50/50 in her attraction, maybe with a slight lean towards men. even though she's shy, her sexuality is one of the few things she's open and proud about.
mary morstan
haven't really thought about it much, but if there was a gun to my head, i'd say shes a bi cis woman?
mary doesn't like to label anything about herself, much less her sexuality. she goes with the flow.
(i don't think about her much bc i don't like her, also amanda abbington is an unspeakable terf)
irene adler
allo, lesbian cis woman.
irene didn't come out until her late 20s, struggled with A LOT of comphet, explaining what she thought was an "attraction" to sherlock. they're seriously just bros now, though.
irene actually couldnt really care less one way or another about how often she has sex, but she knows she's good at it and can use it to make money.
sally donovan
allo, bi trans woman
sally is t4t, and dating anderson. she lives stealth, almost nobody knows other than
philip anderson
allo, straight trans man
dating sally. anderson is quite insecure in his trans identity and used to be truscum, explaining the animosity between him and sherlock. he blamed himself a lot after the fall, and took a long hard look at himself and his politics, helped along by a kick up the arse from sally.

Aight so I did the remaking of a tumblr about a year ago but now I am really gonna start trying to use it. Can't edit my actual blog until I get a pc again so that's fun but here's a little bit about me!
Tumblr media
1: I do art sometimes lol, this picture here is of my online persona. Right now my art is on pause due to not having a working computer, unless I get motivation to try traditional again.
2: I have many pets! And you will probably see many pictures of them! They are a dog, 3 cats, and 3 rats uwu
3: I am a gay transmasculine demiboy, most likely also asexual?? Idk the urge to get dicked down and being repulsed by the thought fluctuates a LOT lmao.
4: Not really about me but I think I'm gonna make sideblogs for things. Like make a grimoire on one, a recipe blog on another...those might be the only 2 I keep more or less separate from my main blog. Just so I can have different custom styles for them without having to scroll through miles of code to add more to each one, yknow? Unless I find another way to do it idk we shall see when I get a computer to try it on again lol
5: Uhh...I am a part of many fandoms. Some I still have to admittedly catch up on (i.e. Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock. Also Homestuck I guess cause I haven't read Homestuck2 in a while lmao). Right now though I am rewatching the first season of The Owl House cause I saw Disney+has the second season. Then I will be watching the new stuff for Inside Job and The Cuphead Show.
6: I play videogames! Mostly on my ps4 rn cause I, again, don't haveba working computer. But I play some GTAV Online, Overwatch 2, and wanna get back to playing Cyberpunk 2077. When I have my computer I also play Wizard101 since I am now an adult with money and can go to the areas I couldn't as a kid without money. I have too many games I haven't finished yet cause my interests can change constantly, but maybe someday I will finish them who knows? Not me!
7: I want to make this to 10 points so...music? I like music. I have yet to find a song I absolutely HATE but back to interests changing a lot it's the same for music. I have to be in a particular mood for certain songs which is just...amazing when I'm in control of the music in social situations.
8: I'm into the paranormal, divination, and other witchy things. I haven't started participating in witchcraft as much as I would've liked to but...that is going to change now that I'm in a place I feel comfortable and safe in.
9: Sometimes I'm funny 🤷‍♂️
10: I made it to 10! I really can't think of anything else to add so...I just want to say my blog is a safespace for everyone and anyone. I'll try my best to tag things with potential triggers but if I miss any just let me know and I will fix it asap!

In a lot of fandoms, notably Supernatural, Star Trek: TNG, Dune(books and movies), a lot of Neil Gaiman's works, Sherlock Holmes (All of the medias), classic literature in general, Hannibal Lecter(all kinds), and Marvel stuff including the X-Men. I also like a lot of music and other miscellaneous things/shows/movies, so who knows what you'll see. Bit of a Kandi kid and a major theater kid, and I play dnd so expect nerd stuff overall.
I speak english, but I've learned a little french and I'm working on ASL. Might learn some fictional languages, too, who knows
Minor
Major simp for a lot of characters and a lot of actors.

I just hope that they don't end up queer-baiting Sherlock as trans.

by the way, i recommend Angel Of The Crows, the book that just came out. it's gaslamp sherlock wingfic, and watson is, spoilers, explicitly transmasculine and living as a man, if personally a little uncertain about what gender exactly they are. as soon as sherlock figures it out, he doesn't use any pronouns for watson at all. it's very neat to see.
Holy shit. That sounds amazing. Thank you so much for the rec!

4, 8, 26, 44 for the autism asks
CW: Long Post. First of all, sorry it took me so long to reply to this. I'm going on holiday tomorrow so I've been pretty stressed about it recently.
4. Are you LGBTQIA+?
Yes. I am transmasculine, pansexual and demisexual.
8. If you have any, what are your special interests?
Star Trek. I would describe my special interest as just 'stories'. I certainly get very obbsessed with certain stories when I consume them (chronologically: Harry Potter, BBC Sherlock, Torchwood, Star Trek). I memorise as much of the information about the plot, characters and universe as I can but the main things for me are certain characters (e.g. Ianto) and the universe it's set in. Once I've consumed all the episodes/books of a series the way I interact with it changes because if I rewatch it it's kinda weird because I've memorised the plot. Going to be obbsessed with Star Trek for a long time though because there are lots of shows and I am way too attached to so many characters. Anyway that probably doesn't make much sense I'm still trying to work it out myself.
26. Do you avoid eye contact?
Yes. If I'm looking at someone's eyes and they turn to look at mine I turn away because it's just uncomfortable and distracting to me.
44. Who are your favourite autistic bloggers? Say something nice about them.
@yourea--stubborn--man you have great taste in Star Trek posts and seeing you on my dash always makes me happy because your blog just has good as safe vibes.
@spacespirk you must have many braincells because you have very correct earl grey tea, hot. Also I love your posts about Data specifically.
@im-a-doctor-not-a-bricklayer idk what to say other than we have the same taste in posts every time you pop up on my dash I'm like "yes this is exactly what I wanted to see today". I don't think that's a good compliment sorry but you make me very happy.
I probably follow more awesome autistic people but I don't know that they are autistic so sorry about that. Also if you couldn't tell I'm not really used to getting asks so sorry that this is a mess lol. Thanks for the ask anon :)
