I was chatting with @eudaimonia83 and they said something that was pretty genius.
We were discussing the Valkyries training and she commented on wanting someone, anyone over the IC to continue training them.
My response was initially that Az and Cassian's plan was to continue training them as they had a list of mistakes compiled after the Rite but then I realized that she was on to something. Why should two males end up training the Valkyrie indefinitely? Right now it's really only Emerie, Nesta, and Gwyn (unless the other priestesses plan on leaving the library) but the goal is to build a complete unit of elite female warriors.
Cassian is the general of the Illyrian armies. He already has a job that would pull him away from the females training.
Az also has his duties as spymaster but I do wonder if in his book they'll eventually take Devlon out and he'll end up training the Illyrians.
And regardless of how accepting of female warriors they are, a unit that only consists of female warriors should be trained by a female.
Nesta is gearing up to be the general of the Valkyrie so who could train them?

I've already theorized that Mor may end up living in the Prison lands once it's restored and becomes Valkyrie territory and that she'll end up with Gwydion (and Emerie with Truth-Teller), so what if her role there was to train the Valkryie?
She's already expressed interest in the Valkyrie (once the peace treaty is secured) and we know that she has had as much training (if not more) than the Illyrians themselves because she's learned not only the Illyrian techniques but that of other territories.
Mor's character has been hovering in the background for quite a long time and I'm loving that a few possible pieces to her possible future seem to be falling into place.
SJM had a WIP titled "Twilight of the Gods" and I'm thinking that the Valkyrie setup is all related to the new series she recently contracted for. Twilight of the Gods has connections to Ragnarok which is related to Norse mythology and that is related to the Valkryie (who rode on winged horses though the actual term Pegasus is found in Greek mythology).

So SJM herself stated in the today interview that she thought about going the captain America civil war route for HOFAS, if you don’t know marvel, it just means all these different characters from different places come together to fight. But instead she said she’s labeling it as spider man: homecoming when it came to HOFAS. Whereas Bryce is “spider man” and nesta & Azriel are “iron man” in the terms of Bryce & CC still being the main focus of HOFAS but nesta & Azriel are helping Bryce’s journey.
If that’s the case, I honestly don’t see SJM using any future acotar or crescent city books as multiverses or using them to set up multiverses. Because what would there be a reason to? There’s not another reason as to why any other characters should go to different worlds. SJM made it clear as to why Bryce should go to the night court, but with anyone else she didn’t make it clear that they should travel outside of their respective worlds.
She obviously wants the main focus to stay on the characters she’s writing about not about the different worlds they travel to. And if she did do the multiverse thing, I’m pretty sure she’ll do that in a brand new series, like that twilight of the god series that people have been talking about when everything in the acotar universe is established enough already. Acotar has enough problems in their universe already than to worry about forces outside of their universe.
We know after this next acotar book, she already has plans to write another book, that a lot of people, me included think it might be related to TOG. Maybe if she writes that, it can open up a multiverse since we haven’t gotten anything from tog in years and she would need to open that door to mingle worlds 👀.

Just gonna post a snippet of my lil Amren theory because I'm getting lowkey annoyed by certain parts of the fandom on their theories of who they think the next ACOTAR books are about.
First and foremost, an SJM interview that I've posted before:
Tumblr media
Pay attention to the blue.
"based after and before ACOWAR."
and now I'd like to bring your attention to an interview that came with certain versions of ACOFAS (I don't recall which, maybe hardback, but that info isn't relevant to the theory so moving on...):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"through a course of events that I'd love to tell one day"
"I've got an idea for a prequel that takes place a long time before the events of Thorns and Roses."
The fact that she mentions wanting to write Amren's backstory and follows that up with discussion of an ACOTAR prequel (and then follows THAT up with discussing her future novels) makes me suspicious in the best way possible.
On top of that, she's been really vague about the last novel. I know she says she's keeping herself open to ideas... but she's lied to us before in order to steer clear of spoilers. For TaR, she hyped up Tamlin and lied through her teeth about how she felt about him and Feyre. She knew from the beginning that Tamlin wasn't Feyre's endgame and she still didn't gush about Rhys in the early days because SPOILERS. This woman is a planner. She doesn't outline her stories, but she KNOWS what she wants to happen and makes it work.
Back to the ACOFAS interview, there's a portion where she talks specifically about Elain:
Tumblr media
"everything I did during those weeks became research for her book."
She has mentioned an Elain spinoff before in this interview:
"[Feyre's] sisters come back in the later books, and I’d love to write their own spin-off books one day."
With only two novels and one novella left, I'm seeing a lot of people map out the books like this: ACOTAR 5 = Gwynriel, ACOTAR 6 = Elucien, and the second novella is Mor x Emerie. Which is understandable considering that, in the interview I first listed, SJM stated "each standalone will follow a different romantic pairing". But she also mentioned that she has five ships to choose from for the sixth novel. FIVE. This makes the mapping I've seen so far hard to believe because Elain is just not involved in five ships.
SJM has wanted to write an Elain spinoff for a while and she knew who the first two novels following ACOWAR/ACOFAS would be about, which leads me to believe Elain's book is next since that is the only character who has been confirmed by SJM as someone who will get a book so far.
I also don't think the second novella will focus on a couple. I think it will be more similar to the first novella in that it will be multiple POV's.
Now I bet you're wondering where Amren fits into all of this...
Well, Elain's story is obviously after ACOWAR, but Amren's backstory is before. And if anything, Amren's backstory could open the door to future connections and stories... Crescent City is an obvious one by now. But let's not forget about SJM's Twilight of the Gods WIP.
Amren arrived to Prythian while it was still forming, which was thousands of years ago... and consistently throughout SJM's novels, the Fae (and other supernatural beings) are settlers that arrived to their respective worlds thousands of years ago. There's also some CC2 spoilers I've vaguely heard about that lead me to believe these are connected in some form.
Based on what I've mentioned above, I think one of the books will focus on Amren, or at least provide more detail on her backstory in relation to the histories of the separate SJM worlds.
This makes my mapping of the future ACOTAR books: Elain, ???, and Amren OR Elain, Amren, and ???.
