i’m not kidding when i say that when i die, i want everything that can possibly be transplanted harvested from my body for transplants. organs, skin, corneas, bone marrow, bone tissue, hands, face, scalp, connective tissue, everything. if something is too diseased/injured to be transplanted, take it out and preserve it and send it to medical schools. if something can’t be transplanted due to the nature of the tissue, take cell samples of it and make prepared slides for high school biology classes. take everything you can. it’s not like i’m gonna need any of it anymore. let me live on in saving other lives; whether directly thru organ transplants, or indirectly from doctors and nurses saving lives because of what they learned from my body. in ~70 years’ time when i pass, my body will have served its purpose for me, and will begin its purpose for others.
