i finally decided to take the time & do a heavily requested gif tutorial! this will be very detailed & is how i make every single one of my gifs from start to finish! i’ll also include resources for ps downloads, actions, etc. if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask! & if this helps you, pls rb!!

TUTORIAL UNDER THE CUT!

i’m going to break it down into sections to hopefully make it easier to understand!

1. software i use

photoshop - i use photoshop cc 2020 on my macbook air but any version of photoshop with video timeline/frame timeline will work for creating gifs! i pay for my photoshop but i know there are ways to get it for free. if you don’t want to/can’t pay for photoshop, here (x, x, x, x) are some links to download it without paying!

mplayer osx extended - this is the software i use for my screencaps. there are a lot of software’s out there & i think it truly comes down to preference. i’m just more familiar with mplayer & the screencaps come out really smooth in my opinion. it’s free as well & here is a link to download it!

2. hq movie/tv show/video downloads

ok so i’ll be real, i never used t*rrents until recently & i’ve personally noticed a huge difference when it comes to quality. before using them, i was using files from MEGA & if you’re not comfortable with t*rrents, i would definitely recommend MEGA links! when it comes to downloading any videos, try to make sure they are 1080p or 2160p if available! 720p is also ok but always try to get 1080p. also i’ve found that with movies, 1080p Blu-ray versions look better but again, it’s all about preference!

t*rrents - i only use one t*rrent site which is r*rbg. they have a huge variety of tv shows & movies from what i can tell.

MEGA - MEGA is really nice for people that aren’t comfortable with t*rrents. the way i used to use MEGA was, i followed accounts on twitter that would upload MEGA links to tv shows. here (x, x, x, x, x, x) are some of the accounts that post a wide variety of links to MEGA downloads! i will say, the only downside to MEGA links is that they seem to take longer to download & you can cap out at a certain amount of GB each day.

folx - i use this to download stuff from r*rbg! download this before you try to download anything from r*rbg. its free to use & there are multiple sites you can download this software from but i’ll link a few right here (x, x, x this one is a link directly from the apple store but it costs $15.00). if you don’t want to download from any of those links, you can just simply look up ‘folx mac/windows download’ in google!

4k video downloader - i use this to download videos from youtube! it’s free as well & you can download it here!

3. screencaps

once you’ve downloaded a movie or tv show or whatever you want to gif, open whichever screencap software you’re using & start playing the video. for mplayer osx extended, to screencap you just go to the scene you want to gif, pause the video, & hold down shift + command + S on mac (i think it’s the same for windows i’m not sure).

4. importing screenshots into photoshop

now that you’ve got the screencaps of the scene you want to gif, it’s time to open photoshop! to upload the screencaps, in photoshop go up in the lefthand corner to file > scripts > load files into stack. once you click on that, you’ll click ‘browse’ over to the right & the files on your computer will pop up. go to wherever you saved your screenshots & select all of them! once you’re done selecting them, hit ‘open’ in the bottom right corner.

5. cropping

now all of your screencaps are imported!!! now it’s time to crop the screencaps. go to the crop icon over to the left.

for this gif, i want dimensions to be 540 x 350, so i go up top & type it in

great! now the gif will look like this:

6. actions/sharpening/gaussian blur

now that the gif is cropped, we’re going to sharpen it. i use actions because they are so much faster & easier. i use the action that kylos uses in her giffing tutorial & the direct link to download the action is right here! to access actions, you can either go to window > actions or go over to the play button to the right that looks like this:

when you hit that play button, you will see the actions that you have downloaded pop up! select where it says ‘select here!’ & then go down to the play button at the bottom to play the action. i circled both steps down below

the default radius in this action is 0.3 & i normally change it to 0.4 (it’ll normally pop up & ask you like shown below & just change it to 0.4!)

now the action has been played!! i add an extra step but it’s optional! what i do next is i add a layer of gaussian blur on top of the action. to do that, go to filter > blur > gaussian blur. once you select that, it’ll have a pop up that looks like the one below & you’ll just select ok or hit the enter button

once you do that, you’ll notice your gif looks soft or not sharpened so the next step is to change the percentage of the gaussian blur layer you just applied. to do this, you go to the bottom right corner & hold down option by clicking on the gaussian blur layer. there will be options that pop up & you’ll select ‘edit smart filter blending options’ like shown below (my handwriting looks like a five-year-olds ik)

another pop up will show up in the middle of the screen & you’ll be able to select which percentage you want to place on your gif. the opacity really depends on the gif but i normally do 10%-30%. for a lot of my gifs recently i’ve applied 15% which is what i did on this gif! once you change the opacity to whatever you want, hit ok!

after that you want to change the image size to the same size you cropped the gif to. to do this, you’ll go to image > image size > & change it to 540 x 350 (or whatever the size of your gif is! also make sure it’s switched to pixels instead of inches! once you’ve done that hit ‘ok’ or press enter.

once that’s done, go ahead & save the gif! to do this, go to file > export > save for web (legacy). it’ll show you the size of the gif down in the bottom left & as long as it’s under 10mb you’ll be fine!!! down below i circled my save settings as well! also its SUPER IMPORTANT THAT YOU SET LOOPING OPTIONS TO FOREVER! once you’ve done all that, save your gif by hitting the ‘save...’ button down below that’s circled. you can name your gif however you like just make sure you keep the .gif after it!

now my gif looks sharper than before:

now for time delay & coloring!!!

7. time delay

open the gif you just saved in photoshop by going to file > open. once it’s opened, you’ll see a timeline of all the frames towards the bottom. it’ll likely say 0.07 sec with a small little downward arrow next to it. select the downward arrow & select other. change the speed from ‘0.07′ to ‘0.05′! gifs look much better & more natural at this speed. (also yes i did delete a few frames because i felt it was too long so to delete frames you just select the ones you want to delete & click the trash button down by the scroller!)

8. coloring

coloring can be so much fun but so tricky! i personally use a base psd that i made for all of my gifs & then adjust it according to the gif i’m coloring but for this gif i colored it from scratch! so for most of my gifs i only color/edit them using levels, selective color, brightness/contrast, curves, color balance, & vibrance (in that order) to access these, go to layer > new adjustment layer > & then select whichever one you want to start with.

cyan: cyan +100

3. brightness/contrast

brightness: 5

contrast: 6

4. curves

5. vibrance

vibrance: +16

saturation: 0

then you save it just like earlier by going to file > export > save for web (legacy) & you’re all set!!!! i hope this helps anyone who is trying to get into gif making & if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to reach out!!!!

I really am so tired of people calling Cinder’s backstory boring and unimaginative. I guess one could argue that it was unimaginative, but the Cinderella story has been told since the time of the ancient Egyptians. While they definitely could’ve done more to make more creative, it’s pretty hard to revolutionize a tale that is basically 2,000 years old with hundreds, if not thousands of iterations all being the ultimate “rags to riches” story. A simple tale of a young woman who is deemed worthless gets the chance to finally be something else than a housemaid.

I get that we’ve waited years for Cinder’s backstory, but to call it pointless because it didn’t blow you away is very disrespectful to not only the people who did enjoy it, but the writers as well.

Could it have deviated more from the original source material? Absolutely. However, much like the other characters’ inspirations, they haven’t met the same end. For example, Ruby has yet to be eaten by a wolf, Weiss hasn’t been poisoned, and Yang isn’t running away from 3 bears. For Cinder, she is the Cinderella who couldn’t put up with the abuse any longer. Cinderella is often portrayed as a pure hearted person who endures all of her hardships no matter how difficult it became for her. What Cinder and Cinderella for sure have in common is that in the beginning their suffering continued without any end in sight. When their chance to get what they want was within arm’s reach, her cruel step-family stepped in to ruin that dream.

Also keep in mind that most iterations of Cinderella are usually older than Cinder was. They also have the patience of saints, this in turn makes Cinder’s struggle more understandable and gives it a sense of realism. Simply calling Cinder’s backstory “Edgy Cinderella” wouldn’t be the most accurate summation. Cinder is a child, a child who was pushed around and abused at an early age. Treated like trash for no reason other than existing.

She’s always in the wrong for protecting herself, even when she’s (somewhat) justified.

From Cinder’s perspective, she must be constantly asking herself why must she suffer? Why does no one love or care about her? And most importantly, Why is she not worth it? Unfortunately, due to Rhodes not understanding the severity of what Cinder was going through, the only conclusion she can come to is “You just aren’t worth it”.

There’s something that I just noticed, as we all know Salem lost both Hazel and Watts in V8, but in exchange she got 2 relics.

What I realized was that both Hazel and Watts represent those qualities in some way. You may think Watts represents Knowledge, and Hazel represents Creation in some strange way, but I think it’s the other way around.

Hazel represents a lack of Knowledge, as the main reason he joined Salem was because he was told a lie and fed a (mostly) false narrative.

Summary: Steve Rogers; a Hollywood A-lister and your clandestine occasional hookup. Best friends since childhood, but people change and friendships fall out. You were on your knees with your hands tied behind your back as he vigorously thrust into you. Your heartbeat pounded in your rib cage and you began to feel numb from the hours he had fucked you. Steve was relentless when he was chasing his own climax, greedily used you as a tool; giving zero fucks about your pleasure or your discomfort, to dump his load in.

Steve didn’t need to see your face or hear your consent. He could go on and on for hours and still not feel satisfied. One thing that you had learned from this being in this dead-end friends with benefits thing with Steve Rogers is that his stamina was relentless. And he wouldn’t think twice about getting what he needed whenever he needed it.

Steve impaled you as your face was squeezed into the pillow, you could hear the squelching noises from the ceaseless cycle of disposing his semen in you and then pushed it back in when he was ready for the next round. Your head began to feel dizzy and your visions turned hazy. You’d tell him to stop because you couldn’t take it anymore, but you knew you didn’t have any strength left in your body to do so.

So you ascended from your body and let him take the wheel; allowing him to go as fast as he wished. He kept hammering until he felt your cunt clenching around him and his cock pulsated, then the line blurred as the coil inside you burst, withering every nerve in your body.

You couldn’t stop letting him through your door or drive to his place at three in the morning just so he could let off some steam.

Every time you try to say no, he’d always pay you a visit unannounced. He’d paralyze you with his words and freeze you with his unchaste touches. “Shh, let me make you feel good, baby. You just gotta surrender yourself to me.”

You’d try to push him away but your brittle tenacity was unavailing. Fast forward to five years later, when you finally got your degree and life vagabondized to unexpected places, your sex life was still staying still in one spot.

You were recruited by National Institute of Mental Health as their project manager. You were possibly the youngest candidate to occupy this position but they were very impressed by your resume and your interview that they didn’t have any better choice than giving you the job.

You loved it, you excelled at what you do. Helping people and tending for their mental health was the aim of your life. You had a clear vision of how you were going to initiate a concept, plan a strategy and execute the plan. You respected your colleagues and vice versa. It was a suitable environment for you to work in and you enjoyed every minute of it.

Your best friend aka your former roommate, Natasha was your rock. You still talked to her everyday and she’d always text you in case she couldn’t call. You’d exchange stories about how your days went and she’d always send you pictures or videos of her adorable cat, Liho. It always carved a smile on your face.

The same goes for Wanda, although with her busy schedule of graduate school and supervised experience made things a little difficult for you to stay in touch, she still updated every nugatory detail of her life. You loved her and you missed her excruciatingly. You had driven to New Haven during some weekends to see her and spend time with her, but when the weekend was over, you had to return to New York because your job was waiting for you.

They were your two most endeared girls and you couldn’t wait for the day you finally introduce them to each other. Natasha and Wanda had said hi to each other a few times back when you were still living in the same dorm but, you really wanted to spend time with the two of them at the same time. They would totally click.

But if anyone asks you about your love life? Well, how could you explain something that was nonexistent?

Unless “friends” with benefit counts for something…

A bell on your apartment dinged and you reached for the door. A man in black with purple nuances uniform showed up with a package in his hands. “Miss Y/L/N?”

“Yes, that’s me.”

“Here’s your delivery. Sign here please.” He handed you a piece of paper to draw your signature on and you accepted it without question, knowing full well it was another extravagant gift from Steve. Yep, that Steve.

The Steve Rogers.

A Brooklyn-born movie star of various blockbuster films, a remarkable singer and the face of Calvin Klein’s campaign this year… and Gucci Guilty’s last year.

The notorious womanizer but it was all good because he was the man. When you had starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and posed next to Oprah, who would give a shit if you never stopped playing the field, right?

And because he was The Steve Rogers, he could’ve spent his money on any lavish item and he could’ve put his dick wherever he wanted it. That included you, being the object of his wealthiness and his manliness.

How many times had you tried to reason with him when he constrained you to come over after a drunken hookup with a twenty-something model to clean up the mess and take out the trash? Perhaps just a few numbers exceeding the number of times he’d play the most charming man in the world only to forget your existence until he wanted you again.

So your feet innately transported you to your car, wearing the brand-new crimson red, bodycon dress with deep V-neck that displayed your cleavage, spaghetti straps baring your arms and a backless design that made you shiver due to the crisp air and drove to a place you had grown so accustomed to.

And this was the God knows how many times you were corrupted on his bed again. You had been so busy with your upcoming project that NIMH was ready to announce but you just couldn’t find it in yourself to resist the urge to come over to his place.

You stood on your wobbly feet, cleaned yourself up and see yourself out. Wouldn’t want to keep another mistress waiting in line…

Three weeks have passed since you last slept with Steve Rogers. Whispers on the streets chirped that he had been occupied with shooting a new film, erotic thriller slash mystery genre. Seems appropriate.

You yourself had been snowed under your work. The fundraiser event that NIMH was holding had been wearing you down but it was all worth it when the show was on. Negotiating with sponsorships, seeking donations and managing ticket sales were not easy, and it was all part of your responsibility because you were the boss, but you aced it anyway.

You were also responsible to hire professional entertainers and well, knowing that you got some connections to a well-known actor, of course, he was the first name on your list. But due to schedule conflicts, he couldn’t make it. It wasn’t a problem though, you still had a long list of names; film stars, movie producers, musicians, directors, moguls, etc.

You stood in your black sequin dress at the corner of the venue, inhaling all the sedulity and gumption you had invested in this event for the past couple of months. A part of you was secretly hoping that Steve would be here to see it, but you quickly eliminated those thoughts away.

9th-grade summer break. Upon the verdant hills overlooking the tranquil lake below; the moon’s faint glow ricochets on the water.

“What do you wanna be when you grow up, y/n?” his head reclined on his the palms of his hand, arms sprawled out like a butterfly’s wings.

“I wanna… Help people. My mom is a nurse and my whole life I watched her taking care of people she’d never met and I wanna have her big heart. I wanna do something that saves people.” you beheld the twinkling stars in the crepuscular sky, privily prayed that every word would come true.

“You wanna be a nurse like her too?” His eyebrow raised.

“I don’t know… Maybe I’ll host a charity event or something and then I’ll use all the money for those who need it. It looks cool in the movies.”

“When I make it, I’ll come to your event and help raise the money too! People would be interested in giving money to celebrities, right?” the credence glinted in his eyes.

“But the money will not be for you, doofus.”

“Yeah, I know!” he chided. “I wouldn’t take a single cent even if I could. My mom taught me that if I were given the chance to put others first before me… I should and I will respect her legacy.”

You watched the host and your project leader, Tony Stark stood behind the acrylic podium and he greeted the crowd a good evening. He opened his speech, cajoling the guests with his words to share a little bit of their wealth as many as possible and closed it with a cordial adieu.

You made your way to one of the most respected guests; Benjamin Woods was sitting on the fifth table. Two times Oscar nominee and you were jittery to talk to him, but in this line of work, you were trained to be confident and act like one of the elites. So you weren’t going to freak out like an obsessive fan, you gotta keep it cool and classy. Plus, during the briefing, you were told to fraternize with as many of the guest as possible, persuade them to help us reach the goal.

You had your eyes set on the target until you bumped on a six-foot man, spilling the martini in his hand all over your dress. It caused a few heads turning but that was the last thing you cared about right now. “Shit!” you squawked.

“Oh my, I’m so sorry miss.” a British accent was hinted.

You grabbed a napkin from the nearest table to wipe away the stain but of course, it was futile. He offered a hand by saying “here, let me help.”

“No, no it’s fine, I’ll-” you looked up to see a handsome man with a pair of grey, slightly blue and green fused at the core. His dark brown hair matched the stubble covering his entire jaw and you were captivated by the work of art that was his face. Man, what a gorgeous creature. “…Manage.”

“I’m truly sorry, I must really stop reading through my emails while walking.”

“Don’t worry about it, sir. It happens.”

“Can I at least get you a drink? I’d feel really bad if I don’t do anything to compensate for my error.”

You averted your gaze from him to the person you really wanted to talk to but that could wait. You still got a few more hours to properly introduce yourself. “Yeah, why not?”

“Splendid.” You both walked toward the bar and sat on the stools. The next thing you knew, you had spent the last one hour talking and acquainting with this man. Apparently, he was the executive director of Filmmakers Without Borders where funding films and new media projects that aligned with themes of social justice, empowerment and cultural exchange was the prime focus of his job. He believed that if he could support ideas that would make the world a better place, he’d do it without a second thought.

He was also a big traveler. He loved seeing magical places in foreign countries, he was keen on exploring new cultures and learning new languages even if he could only recollect a few basic words. He claimed that he had traveled to nine countries in Asia and he planned to travel across Europe, his so-called home, once he had conquered the omnifarious continent.

And what enthralled your heart the most about him was that he was a proud father of two adorable dogs; a greyhound and a pomeranian and a benign Siberian cat. He spoke about them so fondly. He showed you pictures of them and he said that he’d love for you to meet them. Oh man, was that a subtle invitation to come over to his place soon in the future?

He was a real gentleman, courtesy and multifaceted were the proper words to describe this man, and you had only known him for one hour. Eventually, duty calls and you still had a role to play in this event, but before you could hop off the stool, he had asked you for your number and you gladly gave it to him. You had a feeling that this wasn’t farewell but rather, an incipience. The question is… What could it be of?

“Oppa!” You squealed as you ran into the practice room where seven sweaty boys all sat around just relaxing, “I brought food!”

“Which one of us got food?” All seven heads popped up and looked right at you.

You pointed at Jin, “My brother duh!! And Jungkook Oppa!”

You were Kim Seokjin’s little sister. The one he treasured beyond words. He was so protective of you, it seemed as if no boy would be approved by him. The only one he would allow you to date is Jungkook since he took such great care of you. But you didn’t see Jungkook in that way, you two were more like two peas in a pod. When you and Jungkook met, you discovered that you two were only a week apart, so you both used that as your reason to be as close as you are now.

However, the one you had eyes for was the closest member to your brother, Kim Namjoon, otherwise known as RM the leader of BTS. You knew damn well Jin wouldn’t allow that. But you also knew damn well that he had feelings for you. But it was too hard to tell if he knew about your feelings for him.

“I am the adopted brother,” Jungkook took the box of food from you, “I am appreciative of the sister I wish I had!” He kissed your forehead and then walked away with the food.

Jin took the other box from you, “Thank you little sister! Do you want to stay for awhile and I’ll bring you home?”

You nodded, “Sure!”

It wasn’t odd for you to spend so much time with the boys. Everyone had a special connection with you. J-Hope loved to dance with you, Yoongi loved that you would always cook meat for him, Jimin loved to play videogames with you, Taehyung loved watching movies with you and well Jungkook, he’s your partner in crime. But when it came to Namjoon, he loved it when you were around in general. You lit up the room everytime you came in. Your laugh was infectious. Your hugs always made him feel relaxed. And he loved that you were accepting of him for who he genuinely was, Kim Namjoon who is a destructive beast, lovable, but mainly destructive.

Currently you were sitting with Jungkook, sharing earbuds, and watching videos of puppies doing funny things. Everyone else was just lounging around the room, by the looks of it, they were done with practice for the day.

“What are you two watching?” A deep voice came from behind you and you turned around to find Namjoon towering above the two of you from behind the couch. A light blush came to your cheeks when you saw him.

God he’s so handsome… And he was just in shorts and a tshirt.

“Puppy videos hyung,” Jungkook held up the phone, “Doesn’t this look like Miri from that run episode?”

Without taking his eyes off of you and you not escaping his gaze, he responded to Jungkook, “Mhm.”

God this man had eyes that you can so easily get sucked into. They were so deep, but beautiful. His profile was so...prince like. Honestly, you couldn’t find anything wrong with him. The way he just stared at you, it made you melt.

“Umm guys?” Jungkook was snapping his fingers in between the two of you, “Hello?”

You snapped out of it right away and your cheeks flushed pink, “Sorry Oppa! Were you saying something?” Not even Jungkook knew about your feelings towards Namjoon. You heard him chuckle behind you and walk away.

“What was that about?” Jungkook raised an eyebrow.

“Nothing,” you leaned on him, “Can we continue puppy videos please?”

The look Jungkook gave you meant that you guys were definitely talking later. You weren’t off the hook with this one. Little did you know, all the members just saw what happened, including your brother. You couldn’t see it from where you were sitting, but Jin’s knuckles were turning white and his face red, because he knew exactly what was up.

You spent the next couple of hours just chilling with Jungkook and the boys as they got ready to call it a day at Big Hit. You yawned and stretched when suddenly someone poked your sides, which was your weakest spot.

“Yah!” You turned around thinking it would be Jungkook or your brother, but it wasn't. In front of you stood Yoongi and Namjoon. His eyes trapping you yet again.

“What are you doing for the rest of the evening?” Yoongi asked, “Want to come over to eat some meat with us? I’ll buy it if you cook!”

You couldn’t resist eating meat with Yoongi. Even though the food was always good, Yoongi always put on a show every time he ate meat cause he just loved it so...damn...much.

You looked over at your brother who was talking to Jimin, back at Yoongi and Namjoon, your brother again and then you smiled, “Sure why not! I’m sure my brother is more comfortable knowing I’m at his apartment then walking the streets of Seoul by myself,” you turned to your brother, “Oppa!” you shouted from across the room, “Guess who’s coming over for dinner!”

“Not you!” he mocked you at the same time you called out to him, “Wait are you really?”

“Yep! Yoongi Oppa and Namjoon Oppa asked me too!”

“That means we can play more video games!” You heard Jimin cheer from your brother's side.

“Yah! She’s coming over because she agreed to cook for ME.” Yoongi playfully kicked Jimin leaving you with Namjoon.

“I’m glad you’re coming over,” he said as he watched the two boys play fight, “It’s always a good time when you’re around.”

“I missed being with all you Oppas while you guys were on tour. I’ll take every chance I can get,” you smiled warmly at him, “You guys all make me happy. Especially you Namjoon Oppa!” You skipped away and linked arms with your brother as you guys made your way out of the building and too the vans.

In the car you sat in the back row with your brother and Namjoon in between the two of you siblings. You yawned as you looked at the night skyline of Seoul past the windows. Car rides always relaxed you, and being with your most favorite people made you content.

“Namjoon look at this,” Jin held out his phone, “What if I ate this for the next Eat Jin episode?” It was a picture of some Filipino delicacy called Dinuguan.

But before Namjoon could answer, he was caught by surprise when he felt your head fall onto his shoulder, you had fallen asleep. You were snoring quietly, one earbud hanging out of your ear while the other stayed in.

“Aw, she’s so cute. I wanna squish her cheeks.” Hobi said as he turned around to look at you and Namjoon.

Namjoon smiled warmly and moved your hair out of your face so that way it wouldn’t fall into your slightly parted open mouth. He took your other earbud that was hanging and put it in your ear because he thought your music would help you have a calm and peaceful sleep. Namjoon totally ignored the hyung next to him who was waiting for an answer, with his mouth hanging open, anger slowly fueling in the pit of his stomach.

Jin smacked Namjoon and angrily, but quietly, whispered, “Yah! Watch your hands!”

“Hyung relax,” Namjoon didn’t take his eyes off of you, he smiled warmly at your sleeping face, “She’s really comfortable. I’ll wake her up when we get back home.”

But there was no way Jin was comfortable with Namjoon being this way towards you. He was wishing that it was Jungkook instead of Namjoon who was loving and affectionate towards you.

“She’s really adorable when she’s like this, hyung how come you’re not like that?” Namjoon mocked Jin earning another smack from him.

“I’m serious, watch your hands on my sister and watch what you say about her.”

“Hyung relax!” you hear Taehyung from the front of the van, “It’s not like he’s hurting or trash talking her! Why are you suddenly being so anal about it?”

But before Jin could answer, they arrived back home.

Namjoon nudged you softly, “Hey (Y/N), we’re home, wakeup.”

You yawned and rubbed your eye, half awake you looked right at Namjoon, “Did I fall asleep Oppa?”

“Yup and you drooled ALLLLLL OVERRRR my shoulder.” Namjoon thought it would be fun to tease you because the reaction he got out of you, well he wished he recorded it.

“E-EH?????” Your eyes widened and you quickly patted his shoulder with a napkin you had in your bag, “W-wait...it’s dry...you’re teasing me again!” You pouted and turned away from Namjoon.

“If you two are done here, I would like to get out of the car, please and thank you.” Your older brother said bitterly from behind Namjoon.

You kept your playful pout and hopped out of the car before linking arms with your best friend, “Oppaaa~ Joonie Oppa is teasing me again!”. You only called him Joonie every now and then, but everytime you did, his heart would melt.

“Can I join in the teasing?” Jungkook flicked your forehead, “Oppaaaa~ Aish, you’re so full of energy every time you wake up from a nap.” He mocked your voice playfully.

You pouted again and ran to Yoongi, “Oppa they’re being mean to me, can we eat now?”

Yoongi flashed his gummy smile at you, “Yes! I am hungry!” he cheered as he dragged you inside their dorm.

You sat down in the kitchen, “Yoongi Oppa are you gonna buy meat?”

He opened the fridge and pulled out a bunch of pre packaged trays of various meats waiting to be cooked, “I kinda expected that you were gonna come when Jin hyung told us you would be stopping by today. So I had this express delivered,” he plopped them down on the counter, “Both you and your brother are great cooks.”

“Which is why I’ll be helping her today,” Jin came into the kitchen rolling up the sleeves of his hoodie, “It’ll be nice to spend some quality time with my sister.” He wrapped his arm around your shoulder protectively and you guys both flashed the same bright smile.

“Even better,” Yoongi began to walk out of the kitchen, “Seems like my services won’t be needed today”.

“Yeah but you’re on cleaning duty. This was your idea.” Jin began unpackaging the meat while you prepared the various types of marinades.

Soon enough it was just you and your older brother in the kitchen preparing the food. It may have been silent, but you knew something was bugging your brother. You could just tell with those sibling instincts.

“(Y/N),” he paused after setting some meat on the stove, “I know you’re growing into a woman, and if you ever fall for someone, I want to know about them first before you bring them to meet me, hyung and our parents ok?”

You nodded, “What brings this up Oppa?” Could he tell that you had feelings for Namjoon? What was he thinking? Were you that obvious? Did Namjoon tell him that he likes you?

You heard shuffling in the hallway in front of the kitchen but you assumed it was one of the boys just running from the room to the living room. You placed some samgyeopsal on the pan and turned towards your brother, “Are you okay Oppa?”

“No. I actually am not” he set down his chopsticks and turned towards you, “How would you feel if your best friend liked your sibling?”

“Well my best friend is Jungkook Oppa… we know their family well. I would be fine with it.” You shrugged. You knew where he was getting with this, well at least you thought you did.

“Okay not Jungkook. Let’s say someone like Juggyeong from back home, how would you feel if she liked me?” He turned back to the pan and stirred some of the meat in there.

“I would 100% support. Juggyeong Unnie is a great girl. I wouldn't mind. Why do you ask? Does she like you?” You were secretly hoping that this story was true and that he wasn’t suspecting anything between you and Namjoon. You know your brother's habits and you weren’t sure exactly how he would react in this situation.

“No. That story was fake, the situation was real, but the story was fake.”

“I’m so confused,” you slid the now cooked samgyeopsal onto a plate and began to cook the brisket, “I really am.”

“Namjoon likes you…”

The room was silent. In your mind you were screaming, you already knew he liked you, but the fact that your brother knows, means he really really likes you. But the fact that your brother was also acting like this shows that he wasn’t approving of it.

“And I don’t approve of this…” he continued on, “I know you like him too. It’s obvious by the way you two act with each other. I don’t approve of it one bit.”

There it was. Your heart dropped hearing those words come out of your brother's mouth. Your brother meant the world to you but the fact that he was talking about this, you knew he wasn’t kidding. He’s serious.

“I- Oppa... “ you looked down trying to hold your tears in, “B-but why?”

“Yes Hyung, why?” You heard Namjoon’s voice at the doorway of the kitchen, “Why don’t you approve of our feelings for each other?” His voice was deep, and serious. His eyes were dark but longing for an answer.

You stood there silently just prepping up the remainder of the food. You suddenly lost energy to speak.

But at least Namjoon knew you liked him.

“You’re my sister,” Jin never looked up from the pan he was working on, “You’re my best friend. Do you think that would work exactly? No. No it won’t. I won’t let it happen.”

“Oppa...I really do like Namjoon Oppa. I care for him a lot.” You said quietly as tears slowly streamed down your face. You really wanted to be with Namjoon, but you also really wanted to make your brother happy and proud of you.

Namjoon saw you and started making his way over to you. He wanted to comfort you, but Jin stepped in the way, “Remember what I said in the car. Watch your boundaries with my sister. I don’t want her getting hurt.”

“Hyung,” Namjoon’s voice started growing louder, “Look. If nobody comforts her, she’s going to end up getting more hurt.”

“That won’t happen if I’m protecting her from getting hurt!” Jin’s voice started rising too, “I’m her big brother. It’s my responsibility to make sure she doesn’t experience it!”

“Are you assuming that I would hurt her? Hyung, you know you can trust me, if I hurt her I would never be able to forgive myself!” Namjoon placed his hand on Jin’s shoulder, “Hyung please trust me on this.”

But Jin shrugged off Namjoon’s hand, “I would rather not take the chance of her getting hurt in general!”

You heard shuffling and mumbling getting closer to the kitchen, so you wanted the boys to stop arguing before things got even more out of hand. You placed a hand on your brother's shoulder but before he could say anything he pushed you off, “You know, you know how protective I am of my sister,” he reached for Namjoon’s shirt and pulled him angrily, “Do you really think you’re going to get an okay from me?” He clenched Namjoon’s shirt in his hand.

You really didn’t like where this was going and you tried to pull your brother away from Namjoon again. But Jin pushed you a little too hard this time and you fell down and hit your head on the cabinet doors. It wasn’t hard but it definitely did hurt. And you now had tears streaming down your face.

“(Y/N)!” Both Jin and Namjoon ran in your direction but Jungkook pushed them out of the way and got to you first.

Jungkook wrapped his arms around you and was stroking the back of your head where you hit it, “Oh my god, are you okay? Does it hurt? Do you want ice?” He lifted your head to look into your eyes just to make sure you didn’t have a concussion but it was too hard for him to tell, “Do you want me to call a doctor to come and check on you?”

Jin’s heart dropped when he realized what he did to you. He turned off the stove and stooped next to Jungkook, “(Y/N)...(Y/N) I’m so sorry. I- Oppa didn’t mean it”. You could hear the sadness in his voice. His hands were shaking as he tried to reach for you.

Namjoon stooped down on the other side of Jungkook. He looked at you, eyes soft, “(Y/N)... are you alright?” His voice was caring and sweet. As much as you wanted to hop into Namjoon’s arms, you didn’t want to hurt your brother. So you decided to just keep your head hidden in Jungkook’s chest.

“Hyungs,” Jungkook helped you stand up, “I’m going to bring her to the bedroom. I think she needs some space right now”. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and quietly walked you to the room, “I’ll call the doctor to come and check on you. It’ll be a bit but I want to make sure you don’t have a concussion. That hit sounded pretty hard”. He took out his phone and typed a message to the doctor before looking at you, “Are you feeling alright?”

Tears welled up in your eyes as you just sat on your best friend's bed, “Oppa…”

Jungkook quietly hugged you and leaned his head on top of yours, “Can you please tell me what happened? We’re best friends, we’re always open with each other. Now tell me please.”

“I like Namjoon Oppa. A lot”.

“Oh, and let me guess, he likes you too, then your brother found out… predictable Jin Hyung”. Jungkook chuckled and sat next to you, “How are you feeling though?”

“I- I don’t know. I’m confused, upset and sad all together. I knew Oppa liked me, but I’m confused at why my brother won’t let him go any further with me. I’m upset at myself for getting in between the two of them. I’m sad because Jinnie Oppa won’t approve of Namjoon and I. I want to make my brother proud and happy, but I’m afraid I’ll hurt him. But then I don’t want to break Namjoon’s heart, because if I do, I’m breaking my own too. I don’t know Kookie Oppa, I don’t want to hurt anyone but I want to be happy at the same time.” You crawled into Jungkook’s arms and cried silently. He just rubbed your back while you let everything out.

There was a quiet knock at the door and Jimin popped his head in, “The doctor’s here (Y/N)”.

Jungkook stood up and wiped your tears, “I’ll be right outside if you need me okay?”

“Check on my brother and Joonie Oppa please? And make sure you guys start eating”.

Jungkook smiled at you warmly, “You always take good care of us”.

He closed the door and left you in there with the doctor. Jungkook walked out to find the boys silently nibbling at food on the kitchen table. Namjoon was sitting on one completely opposite end of the table, away from Jin, who buried his face in his hands, barely moving, not touching his food, and the occasional sniffs because he was crying.

When Namjoon saw you enter the kitchen he shot up from his chair, “How is she? Is she okay?”

Jin slowly lifted his head, eyes puffy and red from crying. He didn’t say anything but he was waiting to hear an answer from Jungkook.

“I’m not sure if she has a concussion or not, we’ll wait to hear that from the doctor,” he took a seat next to Taehyung, “But the poor thing has so many emotions running through her right now. She’s confused as to why you won’t let her be with Namjoon Hyung. She’s upset because she wants to make Jin Hyung happy but she doesn;t want to break Namjoon Hyung’s heart, because if she did, she’s breaking hers by doing so. She doesn’t want to be selfish even though she wants to be happy. She’s sad because you two were fighting. She’s upset at herself for driving a wedge between you two” Jungkook started putting a plate together for you and for him.

“She didn’t get to eat the meat with me…” Yoongi murmured quietly.

“Not the time Hyung.” Jimin punched him in the arm.

After fixing your plate Jungkook started fixing one for himself. But just as he finished the doctor had come into the kitchen.

“How is she doing?” Namjoon walked up to the doctor.

This time Jin stood up, quietly, not saying a word. He was just waiting to hear the answer officially that he hurt you. His precious little sister. There wasn’t any way Jin could forgive himself for doing so. His hands were shaking at his sides, but Hoseok came and put a hand on his shoulder to help him calm down.

“She does have a concussion,” he handed Namjoon a paper with symptoms listed down, “I know she doesn’t live with you but I advise her to stay here for the next night or two. If she exhibits any of these symptoms within the next 48 hours, please bring her into the emergency room as soon as possible so she can receive more extensive treatment. She should still eat and make sure she drinks lots of fluids. In the case of headaches, use an ice pack or heating pad on her head for now so we can avoid the consumption of any possible blood thinners in case of a need for treatment. Make sure she gets plenty of rest and no excessive activity.”

All seven of the boys bowed to the doctor and Hoseok walked him out.

When the door closed, Jin slid down onto his knees and started crying. Namjoon walked away and locked himself in the bedroom.

“I think we should lock those two in a room until they make up.” Taehyung whispered into Yoongi’s ear.

Yoongi leaned down next to Jin and rubbed his back before guiding him over to the couch to sit down and try to cool off. Jungkook finished making your plate and walked back over to the room. He opened the door quietly to find you sitting all the way at the head of his bed, leaning your back into the wall, trying to hide in the corner. Your face was blank, but you looked completely exhausted.

“Want to eat something?” he held out the plate of meat that you helped cook, “You did a really good job cooking this, it's yummy!”

You sighed and slightly smiled, “Kookie Oppa, you’re really great you know that?”

“Oh I know, you’re blessed with the greatest best friend to ever exist, I hope you know that”, He sat next to you on the bed, placed your food in your lap and began to eat from his own plate, “I’ve always got you. We’ve done everything together, nothings gonna stop us now!” He gave you one of his signature cheeky smiles and you leaned your head on his shoulder.

“How’s Joonie Oppa?” You placed a small piece of meat in your mouth, “Is he okay?”

“He’s a little upset and sad, but he’ll be fine. He knows to give you your space,” Jungkook on the opposite hand took big chunks of his food and placed it in his mouth, “He’s currently in his room right now.”

“How’s my brother?” You fiddled with the chopstick waiting for an answer. Your brother and you have fought before, but nothing of this level, so you weren’t sure how to progress with this situation.

“In all honesty, Hyung is a mess. He’s sitting on the couch right now with Yoongi hyung trying to calm him down. You know your brother is just like this because he loves you right?” Jungkook noticed you weren’t really eating, so he took a piece of your food and ate it, “If you’re not eating your plate, I will. But Jin Hyung is being the typical older brother who wants to protect you. He doesn’t want to see you get hurt, let alone by one of his best friends. He wants you to be happy, but happy and not hurt. But he’s also having trouble accepting the fact that you’re no longer his little sister who would run around the house in little dresses anymore.”

“I... I wish he would tell me that,” you sighed and yawned, “You guys are away so much, that I guess it just kind of made my brother and I’s relationship like this”.

“Are you tired? The doctor said you should get plenty of rest, and advised you not to be alone for the next 48 hours, so I guess you're stuck with me.” He got up and pulled out one of his hoodies and a pair of basketball shorts for you to wear, “I know damn well you brought nothing with you, So you can use those and just stay with me if you don’t want to be with your brother or Namjoon Hyung right now.” Jungkook really was the best friend you needed. You were extremely grateful for him.

Jungkook walked out of the room with your guys plates and so that you could change. He walked into the kitchen, put the plates down and then walked into the living room. Jin stopped crying and he was just sitting there with that same blank face that you had in his room. He knew you left an emergency toiletries bag with him so he decided to ask where it was, “Hyung, your sister is gonna stay the night. Where’s all her things that she left with you? She’s gonna get ready for bed.”

Jin got up and quietly walked to his room that he shared with Yoongi. He opened up one of the drawers and pulled out a small bag of your things. He handed it to Jungkook and plopped onto his bed, “Do you think I can talk to her?”

Jungkook sighed, “She’s really tired right now so I’m going to stay with her until she falls asleep. Tomorrow would be better, Hyung. Let her be for the night,” he took a seat next to Jin, “But I think you should talk to Namjoon Hyung. There was major miscommunication between you two and you don’t want this to ruin the friendship.”

Jungkook walked back to his room and chuckled at the sight of you in his clothes, “Man you really are tiny because look how baggy all those clothes are!” He handed you your bag of toiletries and you walked into the bathroom. “I’ll be back!” you heard him call from behind you and he made his way to Namjoon’s room.

He knocked twice on the door before walking in. Namjoon was sitting at his desk just playing with a pen in his fingers. He eyes were sad and by the way he took each breath, Jungkook knew he was conflicted.

“Hyung,” Jungkook sat down on Namjoon’s bed, “Are you okay?” Jungkook has never seen Namjoon this depressed before.

“Did I mess up the relationship that those two siblings had?” He didn’t bother looking up from his desk, “Will hyung and I not be the same anymore? Will (y/n) distance herself from me? From both hyung and me? I don’t want to lose her. But I don’t want to lose Hyung either. I care too much for (Y/N) though to just ignore my feelings. I don’t know what to do. If I distance myself from (Y/N), I’d just end up hurting her and I don’t want that.”

“I’m glad you genuinely care for her. But I can’t give you an answer to any question you just asked. The only thing I can tell you is that you should talk to Hyung before you talk to (Y/N). She’s probably asleep now anyways.” Jungkook got up and placed a hand on Namjoon’s shoulder, “I know she would want you two to patch things before you guys work out how to go further with your relationship.”

“Go further,” Namjoon chuckled, “I haven’t even properly asked her to be my girlfriend yet.”

“That can wait, fixing your relationship with Hyung first is priority. (Y/N)’s feelings for you won’t disappear within 24 hours. She likes you too much and cares for you too much that it’ll take moving a mountain to get her to have feelings for someone else.”

Hearing those words come out of Jungkook’s mouth, Namjoon was able to crack a small smile, “Where’s Hyung right now?”

“In his room,” Jungkook walked towards the door and Namjoon got up and followed, “I’ll go check on (Y/N). Now go talk to her male counterpart.”

“Male counterpart...oh my gosh.” Hoseok chuckled as he walked down the hallway hearing that, “It’s scary but true.”

Namjoon made his way down to Jin’s room and knocked twice before going in, “Hyung,” Jin was sitting on his bed, “I think we need to talk.”

Jin didn’t protest so Namjoon took that as a sign to come in. He plopped down next to Jin and sighed, “We need to start from the very beginning. Did I do something wrong?”

Jin closed his eyes and sighed, “No. You actually didn’t. I thought it over time and time again, but you really didn’t do anything wrong.”

Namjoon sighed, “Then what happened?”

“I don’t know…” he was rubbing his temples, “I- I guess I don’t want my sister to grow up. I always want to be the one to protect her you know?”

“Hyung…” Namjoon chuckled, “She’s the same age as Jungkook, 23, not 12 anymore.”

“And look at Jungkook,” Jin let out a small laugh, “Have you seen those two together? They’re a tornado.”

“Okay that probably won’t change,” Namjoon sat up and looked at Jin seriously, “But there are so many people who want to care and protect her besides your family. Look at the way Jungkook protects her and cares for her. All of us members care for her. I want to care for her and love her. Give her everything she deserves. You acted as if you didn’t want me to care for her. You know I can’t do that hyung. My feelings for her are way too strong for that.”

“I know...and I admit, I acted way out of hand. I let my feelings get in the way and I didn’t even bother to think of the way that you two were feeling. In the end, I actually hurt her. My worst nightmare came true,” Jin turned to look at Namjoon, “I’m genuinely sorry Namjoon. I even hurt you too.”

“Hyung it’s okay. I see where you were coming from, if it was my sister, I would’ve been doing the same thing probably,” Namjoon pat Jin’s shoulder, “But I do want the okay from you to date your sister. I want to love and care for her. And if I ever hurt her, just know I won’t be able to forgive myself. Like you, hurting her is the last thing I would want.”

Jin sat in silence for a bit before taking a deep breath, “I’ll allow it. Just y’know...don’t kiss her in front of me...that’s weird.”

“Hyung, I won’t take it fast with her, I’ll go at the pace she wants. I have to ask her properly to be my girlfriend first,” Namjoon smiled at the thought of getting to be with you, “I will take the best care of her Hyung. And I will respect all your wishes and we’ll respect boundaries, especially around you.”

After a deep sigh Jin whacked Namjoon on the arm, “You better take it freaking slow,” he got up and started pulling out pajamas, “Keep my sister pure! I know your mind.”

“Hyung!” Namjoon’s cheeks flushed pink, “I wouldn’t do that to her...well this fast...well I’ll shut up.”

“Gross, please do.”

“Hyung, thank you though,” Namjoon stood up and walked towards the door, “I promise you, I will take care of her.”

“Yeah yeah, what is she doing right now?”

“I think she’s with Jungkook, wanna go see if she’s awake?”

The two boys walked out of the room and towards Jungkooks. Namjoon knocked quietly and peaked his head in after two minutes of no response passed. You and Jungkook were both asleep on the bed. A wall of pillows in between you two to give you guys your own space and boundaries. It’s not the first time you guys shared a bed. People would suspect you two were dating but your heart belonged to someone else.

And you had Namjoon’s heart too.

“You better do that if you think you’re gonna share a bed with my sister,” Jin looked into the room, “I don’t care if you want to hug her, WALL.”

“Sure hyung…” Namjoon laughed and walked towards the kitchen with Jin in tow. Jimin and Taehyung sat at the kitchen table playing games on her phone.

When Jimin saw you guys he jumped up, “Are you guys good?”

“Are we hyung?” Namjoon asked.

“I guess...” Jin pat Namjoon’s shoulder and walked past him to get a glass of water, “We talked it out and set boundaries, but we’ll be fine.”

“Boundaries?” Jimin tilted his head and Hoseok smacked him.

“You must be really thick headed or blind to not see that Namjoon likes (Y/N). Why do you think Jin Hyung got heated? (Y/N) likes him too.”

“Does that mean (Y/N) will be around more?” Taehyung walked into the kitchen to join the conversation.

“Yah, let me ask her to be my girlfriend first then we’ll see the answers to those questions!”

The next morning you woke up to Jungkook next to you watching a video of a cartoon dinosaur.

“Oppa?” you rubbed your eyes and tried sitting up but you had a sharp pain in your head.

Jungkook set his phone down and helped you up, “Slowly. The doctor said to take it easy. How are you feeling? Anything hurt?”

You decided to tease Jungkook to help lift your spirits, “What happened? Why am I in your bed? Why does my head hurt?”

His mouth dropped open, “Do you not remember anything?” his tone was serious, “What’s the last thing you remember?”

“I came into your guys’ practice room, with food for you and my brother. Wait, does my brother know I’m here?” The prank continued on.

“We’re going to the hospital.”

“Oppa I’m kidding,” your eyes softened when you thought about last night, “do I really have a concussion? How’s my brother? How’s Joonie Oppa?”

“I’m not sure, I told Namjoon hyung that he should talk to your brother. After, I came in here and you were asleep so I decided to sleep too. So honestly, I don’t know. I woke up like 10 minutes ago.”

“You don’t have anything to do today?”

“No, we have the day off,” He flashed his cheeky smile at you, “Want me to make you something to eat?”

“Sure Oppa, can I help?”

Jungkook smiled, “Nope. You’re taking it easy so I will be the best best friend ever! I’ll be back!”

Jungkook ran out to the kitchen and saw Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi and Taehyung eating breakfast, “Morning Hyungs,” he started digging through the fridge, “What’s to eat?”

“Jin Hyung made chocolate chip pancakes,” Taehyung currently had three on a plate, “How’s (Y/N)? Is she awake?”

“She’s awake. I came out to get her something to eat,” Jungkook started piling some pancakes on a plate, “Please tell me you two hyungs are good. She woke up still sad. She tried to play a prank but it failed in lifting her spirits.”

“We’re good,” Jin sighed, “But I am so afraid to face my sister. Is she mad at me? Does she even want to see me?”

Jungkook handed Jin the plate of your food, “She’s been asking about you. I think you should talk to her. Bring her breakfast to her. Namjoon Hyung, you should go in later after Jin Hyung.”

They both nodded and Jin took off in the direction of Jungkook’s room. He took a deep breath before knocking on the door, “(Y/N)? I’m coming in okay?” He took no response as a sign that you were allowing it. He walked into the room and saw you sitting up on Jungkook’s bed, just on your phone. “I made your favorite for breakfast. You should eat some.”

“T-thank you Oppa,” you were genuinely happy to see your brother, but at the same time you still had quite a bit of emotions in you from last night, “H-how are you?”

“I’m okay, I promise,” he reached for your hand but he saw you tense up a bit, so he stopped himself mid way, “How are you? Are you okay? How are you feeling?” His voice was getting shaky and his eyes were starting to brim with tears.

“Just a little dizzy. And I’m still tired,” you noticed his reaction, “But I’m still okay. I’ll be fine.”

“That’s good, you should eat some of your food,” his voice was still shaky, “(Y/N)?”

You cut a small piece of the pancake, “Yes Jinnie Oppa?”

He fell onto his knees and held your hand. He didn’t lift his head and he started crying, “I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I really didn’t. I can’t forgive myself for what I did to you. You’re my precious sister. I’m supposed to protect you, not hurt you. You’re actually injured because of my stupidity. My ignorance. It’s all my fault that you’re hurt. Please, can you find it in you to forgive me?”

You didn’t want to stay mad at your brother. You loved him too much to know he didn’t do any of this with ill intentions. You set your plate down and cupped your brother's hand, “Oppa can you sit next to me?”

Without any hesitation, your brother shot up and sat next to you.

“Now can you answer any question I ask completely honest?”

He nodded.

“Why don’t you want me to be with Joonie Oppa?”

Jin sighed, “It’s not that I don’t want you too. In fact, I would much rather have you be with any of the members then any other boy out there. It’s just, I don’t know what got over me. In my eyes, you’re still my little sister who would run around the house in the Princess Outfits that Hyung would buy you for Christmas. I guess I just haven’t accepted the fact that you’ve grown up. I want to protect you, and I always will, but there are other people too and I have to accept that fact.”

You smiled a bit at your brother's answer. He did get really overprotective at times, but nothing was done with ill intentions. You were his youngest and only sister. You would do the same for him if the roles were flopped. “Oppa, you’re always gonna have your own spot in my life. Nobody is gonna take it. You were in my life first obviously. But hearing your answer, does that mean you’re allowing me to be with Joonie Oppa?”

After the most awkward moment of silence ever, “Yes,” Jin sighed, “BUT, there are boundaries. Just don’t act so lovey dovey in front of me. And most certainly don’t make out with each other in front of any of us!”

You blushed furiously at the thought of it, “I-...OPPA THAT STUFF SHOULD STAY PRIVATE ANYWAYS!”

“But can you promise me that you won’t forget me?” Jin’s eyes were sad, “I still want to be your number one.”

You wrapped your arms around your brother, “Oppa, you’re my brother. There’s no way whoever I date, marry, whatever, will take that spot from you.”

He smiled and hugged you back, “If Namjoon hurts you, tell me, I’ll kill him.”

You playfully smacked your brother, “Oppa!...I will.”

“How is your head?” Jin slowly rubbed the back of it as he hugged you, “I still can’t believe I did that to you.”

“I’ll be okay Oppa, I promise.”

Jin hugged you before getting up from the bed, “I think there’s someone else who would like to check on you too.”

“Hobi Oppa?” You playfully teased your head to the side.

“You’re such an idiot sometimes.” He chuckled and walked out of the room just as Namjoon came in.

He closed the door and smiled at you warmly, “Hey (Y/N), how are you?”

“Hi Oppa, I’m okay,” you pat the spot on the bed next to you, “Are you okay?”

Namjoon sat next to you and smiled, “Hey it's you we have to worry about. Are you feeling okay? No symptoms or anything? Why aren’t you eating your food beautiful? Do I have to feed you?”

You blushed furiously when he called you beautiful, “Oppa I’m okay. Just a little lightheaded. And u-um...I can do it myself,” you started cutting the pancake, “See? All okay!”

After Namjoon made sure you ate your breakfast, he took the plate from you, placed it on the nightstand, then grabbed your hand. He stroked your knuckles and looked you in the eyes, “I’m really sorry about upsetting your brother.”

“Oppa, you don’t have to be sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong.”

“I didn’t respect your brother's boundaries. I like you so much, but I didn’t come to think how that would make Jin Hyung feel,” he sighed, “I’m sorry I came between you and your brother like that.”

“Oppa, I’m sorry I came between the two of you, you’re like his little brother he never had. He doesn’t want to lose you.” You smiled knowing that your brother was surrounded by such great people who genuinely cared for him.

“(Y/N)? Can I hug you right now?”

You giggled at his cuteness and nodded, “Of course, get over here you goof,” You wrapped your arms around Namjoon and he pulled you close, “I assume you know how I feel about you right?”

“Yes,” you felt him lay his head on your shoulder, “When I found out, I wanted to have you in my arms right away...now I actually can. Your brother allowed it, you know?”

“I know,” you looked up at him, “But I won’t until you ask me?”

“Ask you what?” He said dumbfoundedly.

You pouted in response.

“I’m kidding,” he cupped your cheek with his warm hand, “I want to be able to care for you in a position more than a friend. Will you be my girlfriend?”

You smiled and nodded, “Of course Joonie Oppa.”

Soph’s Header + Doodle Tutorial (requested by anonymous)

Hi! I’m back again with the sequel to my icon + colouring tutorial, this time with headers and doodles! 🥰 You will need:

I’m using Photoshop CC 2018 to make these headers and doodles, but you could easily make them with earlier/other versions.

Basic gif making knowledge.

A screencap you want to use, some fun textures, and some time and patience!

I always start off with my headers as size 500 by 281 pixels. It doesn’t really matter necessarily, as long as the size is in line with the tumblr dimensions and fits. I find these sizes work to keep a gif or header small, so you can make it a bit longer without going over the tumblr size limit. I know technically tumblr doesn’t have a size limit any more, but I do still try to stick to the 3 MB limit when I can. This is because sometimes gifs lose their quality if you go over. In my opinion, you can afford to go over a bit, but if you go too far, the quality of the gif gets destroyed, and sometimes for me even on 4 MB they just don't play, so 6 MB or 8 MB doesn’t stand a chance. Not sure if anyone else has run into this problem, but you can read more about what I mean here and here.

Okay, so. Making simple headers is actually pretty easy, it’s just a lot of layering of the right things. Once you have your base size, pick a nice gradient to put on it. For me, I’m going with a light purple to a slightly darker purple:

It’s important that you have video timeline turned on for this. If you are not familiar with frame animation and video timeline, I suggest you take a look at this, since we are going to be using both quite a lot in this tutorial.

Next, you want a nice background texture for your header. You don’t have to, but I think it just gives it a little something extra. You can find some textures here they have A LOT to choose from.

Once you have your texture, make it black and white and set it to soft light (unless the texture is the same colour as your background, then sometimes leaving it in colour can enhance the whole thing). Then you should have something that looks like this:

Now add your cap, coloured + smart sharpened and whatever other adjustments you want to make, on top of these layers. If you don’t know how to do this, please see my icon tutorial, where I explain how to do these steps in depth.

Obviously in this instance, Steve is much larger than if this was an icon. Make the picture proportional to the header size, but it’s up to you how big or small you want that to be! So, you could just save the header like that, if you wanted to. BUT, since we’re going to be adding gifs + doodles, I’ve had to make some special adjustments. As you can see down the right-hand side in the layers tab, I’ve added some purple colour over and under Steve (set to soft light, opacity anywhere between 5-30%, whatever suits you) and also lightened the background A LOT. There is a reason for this, which you wouldn’t need to do if you weren’t going to add gifs (unless you wanted the background to be lighter, of course).

So, for the gifs underneath your cap. Here is a pack of gif overlays that I love and adore, once you have chosen one of those, you want to put it underneath your cap. To do this, open the overlay gif, it will look like this:

And you can just drag it across from one file to another, underneath your cap.

I turned off all the layers above the gif, temporarily, so I could move it into place. Once it’s in your header file, make sure to change the gif to “overlay”, which will then bring back your nice background colour. Setting something to overlay makes everything underneath it look darker, hence why we lightened the background before, as I personally didn’t want it to look too dark for the overall header. (You could also put your cap underneath it if you wanted the gif to go over the person, but you’ll have to do extra editing to make sure the cap isn’t too dark if you do so).

Now you should have something that looks like this:

You want to make sure you end the header where the gif ends, even if your layers are “longer”, as you can see above. Again, this is a perfectly acceptable place to leave your header and save it, but this is where I tend to add the doodles!

Open a new file, I usually make them quite big say 800 by 400 px, as you can scale the doodle down later on, rather than starting small and working in a small space, which makes things unnecessarily difficult. If you would like to add some premade doodles onto your gifs, you can find some here, but I will show you how to make your own below!

You could draw the doodles yourself, probably making your life a lot easier, but if you’re like me and you don’t want to do that (for me it’s because I suck at drawing on ps, LMAO) you can use a picture too. Find a picture of what you want, I usually just google it, so here I’ve got a simple crown:

I used the magic wand tool to cut it out, and now we have this:

Now what you want to do is change the video timeline to frame animation. Click the “creative video timeline” button if video timeline isn’t already displayed, then the three dots in the left-hand corner to convert to frame animation, and you should get something like this:

Now, here’s the long-winded bit. It’s slightly odd and a bit complicated, so if this doesn’t make sense, please feel free to message me and ask further questions.

So, we want the doodle to look like it draws itself, right? What you want to do is crop the image so bits of it are added as the frames go on, thus achieving that effect. The key to this is turning layers on and off on the right-hand side, so only certain parts of the image show themselves one after the other.

Firstly, duplicate Layer 1 and turn the original image off. This is a safety in case we mess something up later and need to revert to the original image. Now, crop out the first part of your picture. I’m going to start on the bottom of the crown and work my way around clockwise. Use the marquee tool (I’m using the elliptical one) to cut out one section of the image, then right click and select ‘layer via cut’.

Then turn off the rest of the layer, so you’re only left with this tiny piece:

Now, add a new frame. On the bottom bar there is a button, next to the bin/trash, that looks like a sheet of paper, which says “duplicate frame” if you click on it. Do that. Now is where the turning off and on part comes in. Each layer on the right-hand side corresponds to a frame on the bottom, and you want to build up what is shown in each frame every time.

This is going to involve a lot of duplicating and merging of layers, because I haven’t found a better way to do it currently.

First you want to turn off all the layers when you have Frame 2 selected. When you’re on Frame 1 your tiny piece (Layer 2) should be turned on (you turn layers on and off on the right-hand side, toggling the little eye icon). Like so:

You want to be working with Frame 2 selected for these next parts. Then you want to duplicate the tiny piece layer (so now we have Layer 2 copy). By turning the Layer 1 copy on briefly, you can cut out the next part of your image, so use the marquee tool again to cut out the next little piece. Make sure you have the layer with the rest of the image selected when you do this, otherwise you could be cropping nothing, since the other layers should still be turned off. Once you’ve done that (once again using layer via cut!) you should now have Layer 3. Move this to the top, turn off Layer 1 copy, and turn on Layer 2 copy, like so:

You may not be able to see in the picture, but the two layers aren’t quite touching. Since it doesn’t matter what the original image looks like for the end result of the doodle, you can move Layer 3 in line with your first piece. DO NOT move the original small layer, Layer 2, as then it will be in a different place on Frame 1 and Frame 2, and you’ll have to try to move it back, and that will be a mess. Always adjust the newest layer in line with the previously existing layers so this doesn’t happen.

When you’ve done that, select both Layer 2 copy and Layer 3 at the same time. I usually use the ctrl key to do this, which I think is command on macs, then when you’ve done that, right click on those layers and select merge layers from the menu that appears. They should now be one layer called Layer 3.

The problem is, when you do this in the second frame, it usually turns itself on in the first frame too, which you don’t want. So click on Frame 1, and make sure to toggle Layer 3 off for Frame 1, and on for Frame 2. And the opposite with Layer 2: make sure it is on for Frame 1, and off for Frame 2, like this:

Now, you want to repeat the process. So, add a new frame at the bottom, so you have three frames. Turn all the layers off when Frame 3 is selected. Duplicate Layer 3. Cut out the next piece from Layer 1 copy, and make sure it aligns with the other layers without moving the previous pieces. Merge Layer 3 copy and Layer 4. Make sure Layer 4 is turned off in Frame 1, because the newest layer WILL turn itself on there every time. Go back to Frame 3, and turn Layer 4 on again.

You should have something that is looking like this:

Can you see how all the different layers are corresponding to the different frames? I don’t mean to be patronising at all, so I hope it doesn’t come across that way. I just know that some people don’t understand how frame animation works, so I’m trying to be as clear as possible.

It doesn’t matter if your doodle is moving away from your original image, because you won’t be seeing the original image when the doodle is done, only the doodle. As long as the layers that correspond to your frames aren’t moved during the process, then don’t worry.

Continue to do this until the whole doodle is made, like so:

I ended up with 15 frames, and 16 layers. You can set this to whatever speed you think is best by highlighting all the Frames. If you click the thee little lines on the right-hand side of the frame animation window, a little menu pops up, and there you can select all frames (or hold shift and click on the first and the last frame). From there, you click on the time underneath the frames and adjust it whatever looks best for your gif, 0.05 usually works well.

Now, you want to convert the doodle into one object that you can move. To do this, click on the little lines in the left-hand corner (where the frame animation dots were before), and all the framers will turn into layers in video timeline. Then, to make them all one object, select all the layers at once on the right-hand side, and go to filter > convert for smart filters.

You should now be able to drag your doodle into your header file! Like so:

As you can see, sometimes the doodle isn’t as long as the loop of your gif, but that’s okay. What you can do is use the marquee tool and right click when you’ve selected the doodle, choosing layer via copy. This will create a still image of your doodle, which you can place after it ends to ensure it stays on the header until your gif is ready to loop again, as you can see here:

As you can see here, I decided to make the crown white, since I felt it fit better with the header’s aesthetic. To do that, I inverted the gif and the still shape, and set them both to lighten. I also added a white stroke of 1px just to make it stand out (double click your layer on th right-hand side, and find stroke in the pop up that appears, adjust to your liking!)

I also added another doodle to mine, using the same process as before. Spelling out ‘king steve’ had a lot more layers and frames, but it was the same process. Then I dragged it over, and copied the layer just before it re-looped so I could have it as a still image for a portion of the gif. You may need to duplicate your overlay gif underneath the cap to ensure eveything has enough time to loop properly, like so:

And that’s it really! If you would like to add a divider on top of your header AKA a header template, these are the ones I use (one, two). To add it, open the file and drag it onto your gif file, then place it where you want it to be. Once you’ve done that, set the layer to screen (here is a tutorial from the op) if you want it to be white, or invert the image (image > adjustments > invert) and then set it to darken if you want it to be black. If you want it to be a different colour, you’ll have to cut out the divider from the background image, and then double click the layer to get the style menu. In layer style, you can select ‘colour overlay’ and make it whatever colour you want!

To save your gif, go to file > export > save for web (legacy). It may take a while, so just let ps do its thing until the bar has loaded. You can preview the gif by clicking preview in the bottom left-hand corner, in case you want to cancel and make some changes to your gif before you save it. These are my settings:

Exposing Sam to your weeb culture. 😎✌🏽

He watches you get dressed in your closet cosplay, ready for this convention you’ve been spewing off at the mouth about for months now

He agreed to go as he’d never been to something like that (boy he was in for it)

It’s Day Zero and you leave promptly in time to get to the center to pick up your pre-registered passes when you get a phone call

A friend of yours was holding the yearly Day Zero hotel party and extended the invitation to you both

Walking around the convention area outside, the streets were lined with people already cosplaying and a string of hotels (you guys got the cheapest one)

You show up to the party and he realizes everyone is trashed and playing a variation of game, a giant beer pong table in the middle of the room where your friends are screaming the lyrics to Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid whilst absolutely acing his shot

His eyes light up and he shakes your shoulders like a little kid. “Babe, can I?” He asks.

“You’re literally a grown man- why are you asking me?” You laugh, encouraging him to go play. So he makes himself a drink of Peppermint Johnny Walker and joins the game, meanwhile you watch some others play Smash Bros.

By the end of the night, you’re stumbling back to the hotel and crash immediately

The next morning, you managed to get up early as you had done every con. And Sam hates it instantly

“I don’t wanna go now!” He whines but you convince him to get up, for you needed his assistance getting into your cosplay

Sam can be convinced to dress up as well. If you succeed, he’ll dress as the Joker. If not, it’s a graphic tee and jeans for you. Either way you’re just happy he’s present

You blast anime openings as you get dressed and Sam bobs his head to a few of them

When you complete getting dressed, Sam immediately wants to take pictures of you. He’s your personal photographer. And he takes DAMN good ones of you as the day goes on

He stops others to take pictures of them as well

Will carry your props when you get tired

Holds all of your stuff when someone asks for a picture of you and clears out of the way

Gets confused when he sees his first furry. “Um....Y/N?” He makes a face of utter confusion and points at the furry fox waving at him and you just laugh and take his hand, leading him away

When you go to the Maid Cafe, he immediately wants to buy you a French maid outfit for the bedroom ;)

Expect all of this to happen when you hit the Vendors:

he will stop to get his face painted

buy all of the Japanese snacks (and eating them all within minutes, complaining that they were too small or that there wasn’t enough but delicious)

he will buy you every plush you lay eyes on (no matter how big or small)

he spends time in the Steampunk booth trying on hats and glasses, ends up buying a cool jacket and wearing it around the con

He absolutely purchases a samurai sword

Reacts like a child when he spots the Star Wars droids rolling around the room

Absolutely joins a Stormtrooper group

When you go to the art dealers, he looks at tee shirts, recognizing characters from shows you’ve shown him on keychains

He’s impressed by the quality of people’s work

He takes a peek inside the hentai tent and leaves traumatized (poor bean lmao)

You play several video games in the Game Room. He almost always ends up trying to hustle some poor kid, betting $20 on each game

Wins every game of Cards Against Humanity and Crabs Against Humidity. “A lot goes on up here in the ol’ noodle.” He says proudly.

Suggests to have sushi at Sushi King for lunch and dinner (he can’t get over the Dragon Rolls and Monkey Rolls)

When you do anime karaoke, he’s recording every second of it thinking how cute it was to see you imitating your best anime girl voice and dancing around as others in the room sang along

You visit panels and his favorite is the AC: Black Flag panel. You offer to stay a little longer since he was enjoying the conversations there

When the evening dies down, you head back to the hotel to change into Rave Gear. He eyes you carefully as your clothing had changed into something scandalous. Fishnets and short shorts with sneakers that lit up and changed colors. He bought a similar pair so he wore them too.

Your outfit definitely puts him in that mood 🤤

He quickly finds out that the convention is literally just nerdy drunk culture as you go to a pregame party before the rave

He buys glows sticks and light up glasses

The man is in awe of the light show and loosens up when he realized there were people that danced TEN TIMES worse than he did

Fist pumps all night

Frequently leaves the room when it gets too hot

He stands on the balcony outside where there was another DJ. This crowd had been there deadass all day. He chuckles as he watches them, sparking up a cigarette as he nods to the music

You guys end the first day and he groans when you explain to him that you’re going to do it all over again in the morning

Only because he actually had fun, he lets it happen and coffee becomes life juice for the rest of the weekend for him

He asks to go again next year knowing he’d be prepared this time and you grin at him excitedly and happy that you could share this will him

hi all, based on some asks i got this week, i thought i would post all the resources i use to make gifs in case they help you with your own :)

01. here’s my gif with no sharpening, no colour, and no adjusted speed setting. so far, all i’ve done is crop out the logo and resize it!

02. first step is to sharpen it! i use this sharpening action — adjust the opacity between 48 and 65 depending on how sharp or soft you want the gif to be. i used that action with an opacity of 58, so here’s how my gif looks now:

* you can go here to learn how to install and access actions

03. colour your gif! here are the exact and imperfect settings i used for this specific gif. curves, select colour, and exposure are your best friends. i’ll also post more psds at the end of this post, so try them out and see if you like them :’)

04. now change the speed of your gif. i set this one to 0.05, and generally 0.04 or 0.05 is just right. you definitely want to make sure your gif isn’t too slow, as the smoothness of the movement can hide some imperfections in quality. the slower your gif, the lower quality it looks. i don’t make the rules ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

05. add some text!!! if you’re like me, you might also add a watermark. i always make sure the text isn’t too close to the bottom of the gif, but that’s my own pet peeve. here are my text settings!

all done! it’s not the perfect-est gif in the world but tbf it’s 2:41am and i am delirious :)

i really have no secrets at all — download everything i linked to above and you can make this exact gif in about 4 minutes!

as for psds... unfortunately i’m always adjusting my psds because the quality of video we panel show giffers deal with is always changing, or a series changes its set, or different episodes are lit differently, or skjhfslkgdhfghrgdsas. so these aren’t necessarily perfect for slapping on to any ol’ clip, but they should only require mild curves, exposure, and saturation adjustments before they work for you! or so i hope...please let me know if these are actually trash when you try and use them lmao

i generally use this site to download videos from youtube (720p with sound or 1080p without sound, because i don’t need the sound to grab a clip for photoshop)

i don’t usually use topaz clean for panel shows gifs, but here’s where i got it, here are some installation instructions and keys, here’s how i learned to use it, here are the default settings i use or if i need serious clean then i adjust edges to 4/1.46/0.48, and this ask cleared up my questions about ps crashing when saving a file with topaz effect

A lovely date with Choi Seunghyun........Because I am trash for him. Enjoy!

It was cold as you zipped your coat up. Seunghyun had asked you to meet him at one of the galleries he had been working with. This wasn't rare since he was always busy doing one thing or another. Which is why you scheduled everything. Well at least that's why you were suppose to schedule everything.

So you weren't particular happy when he said he had some work to do that morning. He apologized multiple times but you were having none of it. Especially after he asked you to come with him to work and walk around with him. When you first started dating this was cute and you were proud to be with him. Whether watching him record in the studio, or on the set of a video.

You have been together for so long that you honestly found the sitting around boring. You didn't complain but he must have picked up on your distaste for this and attempted to make more date nights for you.

Taking a cab downtown and pulled up in front of an impressive building. Looking through the window you saw Seunghyun smoking outside holding the an umbrella. You smiled as you opened the door and he ran up to you. "Hi.", he said kissing you on your forehead. After paying for the cab you both walked inside the double doors. As you went to take your coat off he rub your shoulders to warm you up. "I promise a nice warm night at home.", he said with a huge smile. "Okay...So What new pieces came in that I just had to see.", you smiled as he tightly put his arm around you.

The exhibit was what you expected you barely understood it but you liked how Seunghyun explained it to you. When his partner joined you kinda fell back so they could talk but Seunghyun had a grasp your hand. You walked with him closely this felt weird.

After getting everything handled Seunghyun wanted to walk around and show you all the new paintings. He kept you very close as you looked at each piece of art. Seunghyun was never super affectionate. Well never in public something was up you thought to yourself.

The rest of the day, was pretty much errand running. This was the stuff you liked to do with him. You went to get a few groceries that Seunghyun sorely needed. You held the basket while Seunghyun grab different things that you know he didn't need. You watched as he got two free samples and held it to your mouth. You smiled softly and looked down a little embarrassed. "Jagiya...(Y/N).", he teased as you looked up and bit the cracker with cheese. "Oh my god.", you laughed as you walked off. He smiled and followed behind you. Taking the shopping basket from you he took your hand as you walked to the front to pat for his things. "Do you need anything?", he asked. "I'm fine.", you said as he eyed something behind you. "What?", you asked as he grabbed a candy bar. "This too.", he said softly. "Seriously.", you laughed. "Its your favorite.", he said as you looked down trying not to laugh.

Opening the door for you and holding the bags you walked to his car together. You drove back to his place. You liked being at his place it was like a mini gallery. He poured a glass of wine for the two of you. "So are we staying in tonight?", you asked as he shrugged his shoulder. "Do you want to go out?", you asked. He looked around and played innocent. "I just want to spend sometime with you.", he said kissing you on the forehead.

Sorry this took so long...but with everything going on with e'dawn I was kinda hesitant to continue the boyfriend series. But I enjoy writing these so they shall continue.

Fun side what is a better date with t.o.p then just spending quality with him. He very private so expect a nice night at home laughing at each other's silliness and maybe a sleep over

hey, welcome back to me reviewing and rankin a show that i hold very close to my heart, ive left a link to my previous post if this your first time seeing this. but before we get into the latter half of season 6 i just wanted to note that my hyperfixation on this amazing show, has died, and im already moving on to a new different hyperfixation. this show still has such a special place in my heart, it, and especially it's characters, helped me through a lot of personal troubles, and i couldn't thank it even more. anyway, onto the second half of season 6 under the cut ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

and also since school is back, im going to have to post this every weekend instead of once every 3 or so days so uhhhhhhh

valentine's day 6

cindy wants brick to kiss her, devin doesn't want any for v-day, darrin has a huge valentine's scavenger hunt for sue. i love frankie and mike buying stuff for each other for valentine's, it's sweet. i love darrin, he's such a sweet dude who tries his best. if he went through all that trouble just to ask me that, i would say yes in less than a heartbeat. how can you say no to him? good episode, above thanksgiving 6.

"who schedules a kiss? you know what else is scheduled? executions."

the answer

sue tries to get out of what she go into last episode while axl tries to helps brick with his stims. i love how sue fucking bolts out of her and darrin's little place when his family mentions squeezing a living being out of a clitoris. i understand sue, there's so much to explore in life that getting married still as a teen would ruin it. especially since darrin wants that life now, he wants kids now. so even though this couple is perfect for each other, it's fully reasonable why they would break up. good episode, also really funny with mike wanting to end darrin after hearing he proposed to sue, above the sinkhole.

"oh, my god. her name is gonna be sue sue mcgrew."

steaming pile of guilt

the hecks forgot another birthday with brick's 13th while sue tries to get into the school book, and devin gets sick with axl being an asshole to ashley wyman and breaks up with him but then not really. devin tells axl why she dumped him i guess but she already had a legitimate reasonable answer, that axl treats ashley and a lot of other folk like actual trash so why should he treat devin differently? okay episode, below unbraceable you.

"hey, look, there's riley. i'd bet he'd be fun to flirt with, just kidding, im guessing, no reason."

flirting with disaster

frankie crushes on axl's new friend and it's fucking disgusting, oh my god, why did they ever think of this?? but aside from that, i really loved the nowhere convention side plot with sue and brick, it's just so unbelievable disappointing that those really nice scenes of sue warming up to the convention and having a nice moment with brick is alongside a kinda forgettable side plot of tag trying to drive and a disgusting main story of frankie flirting with axl's friend. bottom of the list.

the waiting game

sue has to wait forever to get accepted into collage, brick and axl have a spat about their messy room, and also the hecks witness mike singing to more than a feeling in his car. i really like how when sue reads about the messages she got from the collages, the video quality worsens because it's framed to be the computer's point of view. nice episode, definitely better than the perverse one, above unbraceable you.

operation infiltration

FULTON APPEARS YAY! sue hangs out with axl and since devin likes how close family are, axl has do deal with her while brick hatches a plan to join a friend group, and rusty and mike clean out big mike's stuff and reminisce about their childhood together. i absolutely love rusty and mike, oh, and also their scenes too. i really enjoyed this one, above the sinkhole.

siblings and sombreros

brick somehow wins athlete of the month while axl and sue fight over a sombrero. i absolutely adore brad and sue trying to get their photo for the school book and the scenes afterwards, the drive with axl and sue, and mike teaching brick about basketball, it's really lovely. another nice episode below the collage tour.

food courting

axl's 21st birthday, brick goes through his teen mood swings, and sue is tempted to join a different food court place after a talk with one of the owners that looks like my old history teacher. okay episode, below the waiting game.

two of a kind

tag's brother and him hang out at the hecks for a bit while sue gets detention for the first time. both dutch and tink are very lovely, i like them. i really enjoyed tag's and dutch's song. good episode, weirdly funny, above food courting.

"he probably left him, like his wife."

"didn't his wife die?"

"yeah, that's how bad she wanted to leave."

while you were sleeping

mike and frankie tries to have a date night while sue "crushes" on this dude who should put a shirt on like, jesus, bro, it's cold, bro, and brick and axl start the heck brothers. decent, above steaming pile of guilt.

mother's day reservations

mike attempts to make a reservation for mother's day while the kids try to find the perfect gift for frankie. has a nice ending, above while you were sleeping.

the graduate

sue's name in the year book accidentally becomes "ana hajarajanaan", axl worries that devin might be seeing other people while they date, and brick is so super smart that he is allowed to go to high school earlier. amazing second half, so sweet and nice and lovely and ansdddd. great, above the sinkhole.

the rankz

maybe it's because im burnt out cuz of personal stuff but this season is kinda like the last, as in it's not really that great.

Hello and welcome to my tutorial! I made one awhile ago but it’s outdated and I have better methods now. The first part is gonna be how to get your clips, the software I use and how to load your frames into photoshop. I don’t use KM player. If you already know how to do that skip to part two! I will also go over coloring in part three!

You will need photoshop Cs6 or CC. There is minimal difference between the two when it comes to making gifs. I do not have the download links for it but honestly torrented versions always died on me so :( Anyways! The rest is under a readmore. Have fun and welcome to photoshop purgatory.

I use ps cs6, so if the layout is different than what I show in my screenshots, google “how to ____ in CC” and it should show you the other navigation in CC. ^^

PART ONE. GETTING READY.

1.Get this handy dandy program. It’s so much easier to use than KM player in my opinion. With this you can download any youtube video in any quality that you desire. Just copy and paste the URL. I believe it has steps for you and it’s a very simple program so we will move on into how to get your “gif” into photoshop!

DON’T download clips longer than ten minutes. The longer they are the more space they take up on your computer and the harder it is to select your frames. DO keep track of your video files by keeping them in a folder with all other photoshop related files. 720p or 1080p is a fine quality for making gifs. Make sure your video is at least 720p or you will have ugly gifs srry.

2.Loading your frames into a single document. The top bar of photoshop is your friend. Particularly FILE and IMAGE.

To load your frames, go to FILE >> IMPORT >> VIDEO FRAMES TO LAYERS. Select the video of choice. Your screen should look like this:

The two little sliders at the bottom are your best friends. Move them to select the part of the clip that you would like to gif. Once you do that it should switch to “selected range only”. DON’T limit to every ____ frames. Make sure “make frame animation” is checked off.

Remember that gifs are usually anywhere from 30-80 frames so when you are selecting what you want to gif, if it says you have selected over 500 frames narrow down what you want to gif. That is too many frames. Put some of them back. Pls.

3. Making sure window settings are correct. After you hit OK you should now have a document open! Does it look like this?

If you don’t have the bottom part or the side part, go to WINDOW >> WORKSPACE >> ESSENTIALS. If you still don’t see the side part or the bottom part go to WINDOWS >> ADJUSTMENTS & TIMELINE. You really need both of those.

PART TWO. TECHNICALITIES.

1. Fixing the amount of frames you have. If you are looking at the sidebar and it says over 100 then you have too many frames. For the sake of this tutorial, cut them down to a smaller amount. Bringing it down to 60 is a safe number.

In order to do this, you have to shift+click to highlight more than one frame/layer. First go to TIMELINE (bottom thumbnails) and remove ones you don’t like/need by highlighting them and then hitting the trash can icon underneath. You probably got some frames from a different clip so get rid of those first. The side thumbnails will not change accordingly and that’s fine. Make sure the frames in TIMELINE only go to 60.

*At the end depending on the coloring and sizing you may have to go back and change the amount of frames because it changes the file size and tumblr only allows for 3MB gifs. This will be explained later but just remember how to get rid of frames.

2.The speed of the frames. The actual movement of the gif nine times out of ten is too fast! You have to slow them down so they aren’t nauseating to look at. Don’t worry though! It’s easy.

Shift+click and highlight all of the frames in TIMELINE and then, on ant of the frames hit the little arrow next to the numbers that look like 0.04 (they might say something else) and then click on OTHER and enter 0.06

*Later when you go to save you might need to change the speed again, but 0.06, especially when it said 0.02-0.04 before hand is a good speed.

You can also hit the little play button at the bottom to see what your gif looks like, however they will probably play slower than how it will actually look after saving.

3. Cropping and resizing your gif. On your left is the bar called TOOLBOX.

To Crop: All you have to do is click this icon, drag the grid on the frame around and hit enter and crop as you please! (It will crop all of the frames the exact same.)

To Resize: The dimensions of tumblr posts are 540px wide, so if you are doing two columns of gifs (side by side gifs) the dimensions are 268px x 268px. The smaller the actual size of the gif, the more frames you can have and still be under the 3MB file size limit.

So go to the top bar, click IMAGE >> IMAGE SIZE and enter the dimensions you want.

Height doesn’t matter, only width. Make sure that chain icon is there otherwise when you change the width it will make your gif look weird.

PART THREE. COLORING.

Now comes the fun part!

The right side of your screen, the ADJUSTMENTS is now coming into play. For this I’m going to show you how to add a PSD and be done with the coloring AND how some coloring tips of my own.

1. How to load a PSD (coloring). First of all, search “PSD” on tumblr, find one that you like, and follow that person’s steps for download.

Go to FILE >> OPEN >> and select the PSD. It will open as it’s own photoshop document. All you have to do now is drag the document so it’s not sitting with the other tab (like using google chrome) and shift clicking all the coloring layers on the ADJUSTMENTS bar and then dragging them onto your gif’s ADJUSTMENTS bar.

*Make sure when you drag them that they land at the very top of your adjustments (above the last frame layer- probably layer 60 in your case). COLORING AND ADJUSTMENTS affect all the layers below it, which is something to keep in mind.

ALWAYS put all your coloring at the top of the adjustment layers.

Now, if you like the way that looks skip to part four.

If you want to change something about the coloring, you can click the eyes next to the PSD layers to see what it looks like without that adjustment layer OR YOU CAN

2. Color on your own. I will go over some of my favorite tools and ways to color things. I’ll be making a masterpost soon of my favorite ways to color and PSDs and tips etc.

I recommend for awhile just playing around and messing with all the different sliders which are any of the following:

Vibrancy and Saturation: The more you mess with those two the grainier the gifs can get. Turn it up a little at a time. When you save a gif there can only be up to 250 colors, so adding more doesn’t mean the gif will be prettier. You can do selective saturation with the square icon under the sun. It will let you make certain colors more saturated. The upside down triangle allows you turn up vibrancy.

Adding value and shadows: The first three top icons are great to lighten/darken a gif.

The first one adds contrast and can brighten your gif. The second one messes with three different levels- the dark tones, the light tones and the medium tones. The third messes with curves, which can smooth out tones and shadows. I love these three.

Here is a PSD for my coloring for my gif of Rey. If you want, open it as you would another PSD. As you can see there are a lot of layers so take some time to click the eye icons on and off to see what changes what. Coloring takes practice and lots of different layers, so go check out some other tutorials and practice.

PART 4. SAVING YOUR GIF.

I know you’re thinking why does this need it’s own part. Well,

1. To save your gif go to FILE >> EXPORT >> SAVE FOR WEB*

*Saving for web is the key part of this whole operation.

You should get a window like this. Make sure everything red matches on your screen.

The square in the bottom left is your file size. If it says anything more than 3.00 MB then the gif will NOT load on tumblr. Double check your width size, make sure it says 540px. Make sure under color it says 256. And to make sure the gif plays correctly hit the play button.

Does it look good? Is it under 3 MB? Then hit save and upload it to tumblr! Congrats! You made your first gif!

To correct file size: click cancel and then in TIMELINE delete a few frames. Go to SAVE FOR WEB again and check the file size. Keep doing this until it is under or exactly at 3 MB.

little things we can do for the environment

nowadays, a lot of people have been inventing machines that help in saving the planet but the easiest and most simple thing that have a huge impact on our environment is following the 3R’s.

REDUCE

here is a list of things on what you should reduce

1. single-use plastic consumption

this is the most obvious material we should refrain from buying. i know it’s tempting but don’t buy that candy, or that water bottle. as they say:

if you don’t buy crap from companies they’ll stop making crap.

think about it, that candy you’ll buy comes with a plastic food packaging. that plastic’s purpose is to cover the candy from anything that can contaminate it, but once the candy is opened he plastic no longer has purpose and will be thrown away on the trash can. that piece of plastic was used once but will LAST FOR DECADES, and in those decades the plastic will go through a lot of.. things. y’know like…

other than plastic interrupting the food chain, we can literally kill all animals with the plastic bags choking them or filling up their stomachs with plastic. we’ve all seen the turtle with a straw stuck inside its nose.

truly heartbreaking. this video started a petition to ban straws, but please STRAWS ARE NOT THE ONLY PLASTIC PRODUCT HARMING MARINE LIFE.

now you can say “I don’t litter so how am I harming these animals? I throw my trash properly.” but no, buying from companies that produce plastic makes YOU part of the problem.

the plastic you throw away “properly” adds into the landfill. as i’ve mentioned before, plastic lasts for decades. if we don’t reduce our plastic consumption, we will soon have a mountain of plastics. less plastic u buy, less plastic is produced.

next time you buy from the mall, don’t tempt yourself from buying beverages and/or foods that come with plastic food packaging. if possible, bring your own food containers and a reusable tote bag or don’t buy at all. quit saying “it’s just one time” a lot of people say that everyday and see what problem we’re facing now? overproduction and overconsumption of plastic asshole. say no to single-use plastic !

2. printing

this one’s new to me and im sure most of you are as shocked as i am. i always thought it was only because we were wasting so much paper by printing documents and other things that don’t really mean anything (tama na pagprint ng pix ng kras niyo mga burnok), but we keep buying cartridges.

here’s a tip: use recycled paper and reuse toner cartridges. I got that here https://www.colorado.edu/ecenter/zero-waste/reduce/paper-and-printer-waste. it says here that it costs wayyy less money cause duh reusing and reducing??? lam mo na yan mag-isip ka chz

3. electronics/appliances anything that consumes electricity

this one. this is something that’s hard for many of us to reduce and i admit im one of those who have a hard time letting go of their phone and uses the light the whole night.

PHONE: for iphone users like me (weird flex but ok), apple produces a new model every now and then and it makes a lot of apple users buy the newest model. don’t be like them no matter how much money u have that u want to flex (money cant help you survive when earth is dying sis) also, iphones don’t really last a looong time for many users since it’s kinda breakable and well it slows down after a while lmao

my tip is buy what you think will last for a long time (coming from me eh) for you and if you want, try buying secondhand phones. for phones you broke that you piled up in a box (yep i do that), you can replace some parts of it that broke it or give it to recycling centers. According to the University of Colorado Boulder, phones have metals that can still be “reused and salvaged such as aluminum, gold, silver, copper and iron.” NEVER THROW AWAY PHONES OR ANYTHING ALIKE ! “The circuit boards contain arsenic, lead, mercury, and other toxins. The batteries contain heavy metals that are lethal to the land. Many of the chemicals in cell phones have the potential to be released into the air when burned and can create air pollution.” (Second Wave Recycling, 2013) This means that the phone you’ll throw away will intoxicate the landfill. just think about insects flying around and possibly animals eating garbage

4. water

do i even have to explain myself? hm maybe.

5. fast fashion

oh you have no idea how much shopping can affect the environment. i didn’t know before either. but not only is the environment affected but also who work for companies that sell fast fashion.

a. people have been treating clothes as disposables. clothes that don’t fit the trend nowadays either get thrown away or just stay in the corner of a cabinet.

b. theyre cheap. and by cheap, i mean CHEAP. most of fast fashion clothing don’t last long that they end up in the landfill. even if you donate/sell it, chances are they’ll be rejected due to poor quality.

c. “. . most garments (especially fast fashion ones) are made with inexpensive, petroleum-based fibers that don’t easily decompose (such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic), they’re going to be taking up landfill space for decades to come.” (Wood, K.) As Cline points out;

“people generally recycle plastic bottles or avoid buying them in the first place, but people are pretty okay with buying lots of plastic clothing”

next time you think of buying from forever 21 or zara, think about it. they are simply made NOT to last. think about the exploited workers, the products you could’ve gotten for a cheaper price if they were made locally, and the effect on the environment. do you really want to support companies that only gives a fuck about their sales?

6. meat and dairy

as a meat-lover myself, this was the hardest thing to do. im basically a carnivore since i hate veggies but i do eat a lotta ass fruits so no need to judge sis. but yeah this is so important yet so hard.

if you can, only buy products that are vegan. it doesn’t necessarily have to be food if it’s too difficult for you to let go. you can also have a #meatlessmonday or not eat meat 1-2 days a week.

7. waste

all in all, reduce waste. avoid throwing away literally anything. aim for a zero waste lifestyle and i can give tips in my next post on how you can reduce waste.

REUSE

this is soooo hard to do. trust me, i would know BUT it is doable by an average person so shut the f*ck up and use that ugly reusable water bottle your aunt gave you. i don’t care how rich you are and how you can afford a lot more, but what does it matter if they wont be used much and be thrown away when it gets old?

avoid throwing things away and think about how it can still be useful to you or someone else. not everything useless to you is useless to everyone. let someone else find purpose for it or repurpose it yourself.

donate, not discard. choose reusable, not disposable.

RECYLE

1. plastic

this is the most important thing we have to do now especially with plastic. now note that not all plastic can be recycled. it’s important to know what type of plastic can be recycled and what shouldn’t

so as it states, 1&2 are recyclable which is what you would see on a water bottle. it means you should throw your plastic bottles in the recycling bin. here are things you should avoid and things you should recycle

BUT OK BEFORE YOU DO THROW THAT BOTTLE IN THE RECYCLING BIN JUST A QUICK NOTE

PLEASE REMOVE THE PLASTIC LABEL AND DO A QUICK RINSE ON THE BOTTLE! IT LITERALLY TAKES A FEW SECONDS OF YOUR TIME.

bottles that still have the label on are considered trash and are thrown away instead of being recycled. if u ask “why don’t they just take off the label? it takes a few seconds as u said” well dipshit they have more bottles to worry about so if i were you i wouldn’t be lazy piece of shit and take off the label.

bottles that contained sugar drinks should have a quick rinse & make sure there is no left over ! not rinsed = trash. do i have to go scientific and geeky as to why they should be rinsed? i think not lmao

for the plastic i find that can no longer be recycled (ex. shopping bags, food packaging, small pieces of plastic i see lying on the ground), i put them in an ecobrick which i will explain in my next post.

2. paper

paper can also be recycled. collect all those newspapers, cardboard, cereal boxes, failed quiz papers, rejected thesis papers and notes from your ex-boyfriend. all of them. don’t throw them away, or worse burn them. papers can still be given another chance at life by being remade. all of the papers should not be mixed with any plastic or wax coating.

TRIVIA: Recycling one ton of old paper saves 17 trees; 2 barrels of oil (enough to run an average car for 1,260 miles); 4,100 kilowatts of energy (enough power for the average home for 6 months); 3.2 cubic yards of landfill space; 7,000 gallons of wate; and 60 pounds of air pollution.

3. glass materials

products that are packed in glass glass jars and bottles like RC or your local nata de coco jar are recyclable as well although i’d prefer to reuse them.

no. i don’t mean sell it to the junkshop but if u want to, go for it. although there are a lot of people who’d rather secondhand books than new ones so sell/donate your old books to those in need !

5. clothes

i’ve mentioned this before already but i’ll say it again. buy secondhand clothes. theyre not gross and you wont look like those typical katip pipol that all wear the same shoes and/or polo shirts charet. you’ll even help save the planet.

*note: it is still better to reduce than recycle so still avoid buying plastic and lessen use of paper. but, you do gain money from selling paper and plastic so start collecting your friends’ and family’s junk.

by doing the 3R’s, you can save energy and natural resources and help prevent environmental issues coming from the landfill and pollution. not only are you helping save the environment but you’re also saving money by reducing your purchase, reusing what you already have and promoting recycling.

A celebrated societal menace - A look at Olamide Baddo

Olamide Adedeji, known popularly as Olamide Baddo is the foremost A”local rapper” in Nigeria. He rose to prominence by being one if the pioneers of rapping in the local dialect. Considered by many as the worthy successor to popular Yoruba rapper DaGrin who died at a very young age from a car crash.

Olamide quickly took advantage of the people’s hunger for an immediate successor to DaGrin and released songs like Durosoke which endeared him to many Nigerians. He was considered to be a “very brilliant chap who would go places”.

Eight years down the line and Olamide baddo is no doubt one of the biggest names in the African rapper scene even though he churns out more pop songs nowadays. He has his own record label which is currently working with Young artistes like Lyta, Limerick, Yomi Blaze and co after producing established artistes like Lil Lesh and Adekunle Gold in the past. He has won several awards and even made an appearance in my secondary school year book where a student named him as his role model, insane!

Olamide has made a habit of dropping albums every year and although he keeps up with this, it’s the quality of these albums that come under scrutiny. Sometimes, the album looks rushed and shabby and therefore there songs aren’t the top quality that the fans expect. A lot of fans complained about his last album titled “Glory” but the rapper seems unperturbed. He recently dropped a “family” album alongside his new signees and proteges. A very good album throughout, much better than his last two.

Away from all the praises, Olamide has built a reputation as an artiste that feasts on the rot in the Nigerian value system. He takes advantage of the fact that many Nigerians have lost their values.

Olamide _ Melo Melo

When Olamide first released the song “story for the gods” a lot of people, like me, couldn’t believe their ears. Here’s a scenario whereby a top rapper in the country released a song filled with vulgar and obscene lyrics and a video showing strong sexual scenes and nudity but that was not the worst part of the song.

Some of the lyrics used by Olamide in the song we’re plainly encouraging sex under the influence, sexual assault and even rape, disgusting! Olamide was “dragged” on social media, but as usual, he termed everyone who dared to have an opinion about his disgusting song “haters”. No sanctions were given to the song or the artiste except an NBC ban that “only makes songs more popular”.

If there’s anything Olamide learnt from the previous experience, it was that he should release even more disgusting songs condoning and even encouraging vices like drug abuse, fraud and illicit sexual affairs. That same year, he released a song called “falila ketan”. Another song promoting obscenities, vulgar language and illicit, even illegal sexual activities.

He went ahead to shoot a video that “supported the motion” he laid down in his song. There was backlash as usual, but Olamide couldn’t care less, after all, the same Nigerians who criticised him on the internet were listening to the song on their phones and in their cars, thereby, “giving” more money to Olamide who made it clear that he would go on yo release more of these songs as long as it makes him richer.

Olamide – Konkobility

In 2015, Olamide released yet another “corrupt” song “don’t stop”. Not only did this one get a lot of flak, it got banned by several corporations and agencies who had the best interest of the youth at heart. Olamide’s fans came to his defence every time anyone dared call Olamide what he turned himself into: the corruptor of the youth.

It’s no surprise at all that social vices have been on the rise and sexual crimes are recorded every other day. While I’m not putting the blame for this on Olamide, I dare to say that whether he realizes it or not, he has a direct influence on these numbers.

Nigeria was rated as the ninth most dangerous countries for a woman to live because she’s constantly susceptible to harrasment and sexual abuse from animalistic men who are no longer scared of the consequences, afterall, Olamide said: ” I want to do shina today, she say she cannot wait o, she say it’s getting late o, she say she wants to faint o ah, story for the gods”.
