Samarkand
Zanarkand (top image) was originally meant to be called “Registan”, which was an important part of the ancient city of Samarkand (bottom image), located in present-day Uzbekistan. It was later decided to be named after Samarkand itself, but with slight alteration. The city was a wealthy trading center.

A real and totally-not-made-up fun fact about Shantae and the Pirate's Curse.
On Steam version 1.03 of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, the EXIT GAME option on the file select screen was changed to "EIT GAME". This was an intentional change by WayForward.
Due to the pirate theming of the game, many players erroneously thought the X in "EXIT" marked the spot for buried treasure, and mistakenly closed the game attempting to retrieve it.

Did ya’ll know Nintendo, the creators of Kid Icarus, originally started out as a racquetball manufacturer? It’s true! They only pivoted to video games out of spite when Peter Molyneaux mistakenly shipped a large crate of baked beans to their offices in 1982

Since its release back on July 14th, 2022, Powerwash Simulator has had three crossover DLC's. The first two were Tomb Raider and Final Fantansy and also completely free. This was likely because the game was published by Square Enix.
Afterwards was the game's first paid DLC, which was a crossover with Spongebob Squarepants. And it was recently announced that the game would also be receiving a Warhammer crossover too.

Apparently if you don't pick up the Portrait of a Boy until after Geppetto gets kidnapped you can give it to Antonia instead! (Haven't confirmed myself since I'd have to play through full game from start.)
Quite the precious rare dialogue~ ❤ Though I may have some bad news for you, Antonia…
You can see the voiced clip in full [here]
