🥘 Seasonal Rice (€ 23.50, $34.17)

With scampi. Super seafood-y and rich. Not really like a paella but it's really good. Enough for 2.

🍽 Roasted Meat Caneloni (€ 13.50, $19.63)

Not sure what meat it is. Beef? Very rich and meaty. An interesting dish compared to the sandwich.

🐮🥘 Callos (€ 9.50, $13.81)

Veal Tripe. Thicker, with more tripe than Can Vilaro. Can Vilaro's is more of a mix. As all callos, it's really thicc and yummy.

🍫🍰 Hazelnut Chocolate Cake (€ 6.50, $9.45)

SOO MELTYYY. Like a lava chocolate cake. Super affordable compared to SG. Would definitely recommend the desserts. Hotels that can't make a good dessert, you need to hire a better chef.

🥚🍞 Torrija (€ 6.50, $9.45)

Quite a nice piece, topped with vanilla ice cream. Not too sweet. Worth a try.

🥤 Lemon and Orange Schweeps (€ 2.10, $3.05)

Orange one sucks. Lemon version was so much better.

Really LOVE THIS PLACE. It's so good! Wished that we could've ordered EVERYTHING on the menu. We probably called at least half their menu over our two visits.

Every night before I sleep I always make sure to kiss the hair band you gave me that stays on my wrist always. The item of clothing you gave to me the first time we met still lays next to me and when I struggle so much I hold onto it and nothing else. When I close my eyes it’s only your smile I see and that same smile is what keeps me going, that and the hope I can see it again one day soon. The football boots you signed for me always give me the luck and extra push through my days at work and matches because I know part of you is with me. I make two wishes a day about you and because of you. I listen to your playlist to get me through my car journeys and to stop me from doing anything stupid. I know I’m crazy to want something that you don’t want too but I can still hope and dream for something even close to that to keep me going. Without that, I’d have to give up once and for all.

Sometimes I am very happy with life. I feel proud of myself, having lots of fun, seeing the beauty of it all and imagining the even better future waiting upon for me. But other times I feel sad and thoughtful, remembering all the things from before, making me feel so empty. I want to go back in time and relive those moments, stop the ticking clock. Life has it's ways of finding our weakest spots and making us wonder of what we really want, and many times, without giving us a proper answer.

Part 2: Appetizer, Mains and Dessert

🇪🇸 Roostiq, Madrid

🐷 Torreznos Roostiq (€ 16, $23.36)

It's SOO CRISPY and very tasty. Good amount of salty and tasty. 100% recommend.

🍃🍕 Roostiq Pizza with Iberian Ham, Burrata, Basil and Truffle (€ 29, $42.33)

Probably not worth the price but it's darn good pizza. The crust was light and fluffy. CVan't get enough. Could do without the truffle though, didn't add much to it.

🐮🥩 "Picanha" Steak (250g) (€ 24, $35.03)

Didn't have much steak here but this was really tender. It's a good cut with enough beefy taste and fats.

🌶 Confit Sweet Red Peppers "Piquillo" (€ 8, $11.68)

As an add on with the steak. It's so good! Sweet, meaty and really tasty.

🧀🍰 Tarta de Queso (€ 9, $13.14)

Cheesecake looks really solid but it's light and creamy. It's the right amount of creaminess - heavier than the Japanese cow cheesecakes but lighter than the usual cheescakes. It's such a treat! Comes with whipped cream and a nice shot of amaretto.

🍫🍰 Brownie Black and White ((€ 9, $13.14)

So chocolatey and melty in the middle. Would really recommend this. It's like a lava cake rather than the chewy brownie type. Comes with great ice cream.

Would highly recommend this place despite the steep price point for some things. The desserts are actually quite affordable! It's one of the pricier places we went in Madrid but the steak is about the same price as a nicer place in SG. Remember to make a reservation!

First Joshua Tree experience in the books. What a whirlwind of a trip. Coming into the trip straight off a long work week, and nearly 36 hours without sleep. Then broken planes, flight delays, and standard airport wackiness. But finally made it. JTree is an incredible place. I didn’t have many expectations, as it usually takes me a week or so to learn new rock, and new climbing styles. Only expectation was to have fun with friends, and explore a new area. Success on both. Also came away with a near onsite of “Strawberry Contraceptives” - V7. And unlocked the moves and linked most of “The Yogi” - V9. Definitely have reasons and desire to return.
