Captain America (Steve Rogers) and the Invaders may have won the battle against MODOC and Power of The Outer Circle the nefarious organization but at the cost of losing his two friends - Roger Aubrey (a.k.a Destroyer) who died in battle and the other, Bucky Barnes had kept his distance away from Captain America.

One week later, the Invaders are recuperating and celebrating their bittersweet victory by having a barbecue. Redacted was mourning for the loss of his/their friend, Roger Aubrey so Steve Rogers tries to comfort them. Meanwhile, Dryad (Peggy Carter) seems to be acting suspiciously as she spies on Steve Rogers. After talking to Redacted, Steve Rogers helps out with Sharon Carter in the kitchen when they hear the knock on the door. As Sharon opens the door, Steve Rogers is thrilled to see Ian Rogers, who came to visit his adoptive father.

August 29th - Nick Fury Sr.

Nicholas Joseph ‘Nick’ Fury grew up in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Following a brief yet successful tenure as an amateur boxer, Fury was recruited to join a special branch of the military. Fury was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese air attack and his childhood friend, Red Hargrave, was killed in the bombings.

As American forces entered the Second World War, Fury was placed in command of the First Attack Squad, a specially-trained band of soldiers who undertook some of the most dangerous missions of the war. This squad came to be known as ‘The Howling Commandos,’ renowned for their bravery and effectiveness. Fury and his commandos embarked on missions that took them all over the world, primarily focused on thwarting the schemes of the nazi division known as Hydra.

Fury was severely injured in the waning days of the war. His life was saved by the scientist, Berthold Sternberg, who used his experimental Infinity Formula to treat Fury’s wounds. This formula not only facilitated Fury’s recovery, it also substantially diminished his aging. Fury was able to stave off aging, but only through regular use of the Infinity Formula.

Following the war, Fury was recruited into The Office of Strategic Services and he remained with the organization as it became the Central Intelligence Agency. During his time with the CIA, Fury would have regular interactions with the various super powered heroes of the heroic era. This included The Fantastic Four, Iron Man and Captain America (whom Fury had fought side by side with during the war).

Later Fury was brought on board the newly formed intelligence agency, SHIELD (the Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division). Fury quickly rose to the rank of director and led the agency for a number of years. As an agent and then director of SHIELD, Fury battled many foes, including Hydra, The Golden Claw, AIM and The Zodiac (led by Scorpio, a villain who turned out to be Fury’s younger brother, Jake).

Fury has been involved in numerous romances over the years and has fathered two sons. His first son, Mikel Fury, operated as Scorpio for a time and was later killed in action against Leviathan. His other son, Nicholas Fury Jr., would go on to become himself a high ranking agent in SHIELD.

A version of the character featured in the television movie, Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., portrayed by actor David Hasselhoff; Fury has additionally featured prominently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson. The hero first appeared in the pages of Sgt. Fury #1 (1963).

I recently predicted that a young Rhodey might cameo in the upcoming Captain Marvel film but rumors are coming in that a young Tony Stark might actually appear. This does not mean for certain that he would actually be in person or simply on tv or in the papers. But should he be in person depending on when in the 90s the film takes place he could appear either really young (1991) and in college as shown through the BARFing technology in Captain America: Civil War or he could look about the same (1999) already the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist as shown in the New Years Eve scene in Iron Man 3.
