Not because it's my fic and it's genuinely so insane you won't believe it, but honestly, it's the best idea I've ever come up with, even better than the widely beloved my heart is readily yours. For me, it's the perfect continuation of their story, and the most unhinged plot twist you could find in a fic.

2. Half of my soul by @clockwrkpendrxgon. [G] [2K] [MCD] [golden age growing old together]

This fic is half of my soul, or what the poets say. It's so much better as an ending than what they've given us. At least this is filled with such golden love it makes you ache. At least this makes sense.

3. from hearth and ashes, we’re reborn by @remuscariad. [G] [5K] [canon era magic reveal].

This fic is so good you'll be on your knees from it. The prose, the characterization, the tropes used... it will linger in your mind and fester there from how beautiful it all is. And the art in it by @onepeppercorn... stunning.

4. Our broken pieces by @aramblingjay. [T] [10K] [canon era established relationship]

You can pry this fic from my cold dead hands. I will never stop recommending it until it gets the fame it deserves. One of the most beautiful fics ever written about them, and genuinely encompasses their characters so perfectly.

5. gentle as an early spring breeze by @prattery. [G] [2.5K] [canon divergence golden age]

They are alive and in love and we're all living in this fic because it's what they righteously deserved. The way their life was written here and the love between them... I swear this author could write anything and I'd kudos it before even reading it.

Why did the Evans' have only 2 girls?

Lily was born in 1960.

The baby boom!

Before abortion and wide spread contraception (which actually only became available in 1961 in the UK).

And of course the mentality of this time is that your family was only complete once you had a boy. So why was there only Lily and Petunia? If it was fertility issues well...infidelity was pretty big back then too.

It is completely logical for Harry to have had other live muggle relatives to go to.

Imagine, petunias half-brother shows up at her doorstep (on a journey to find his family) and then leaves with his young nephew in tow, disgusted at the person who shares his blood.

It means the blood ward/protection Harry has still applies.

Perhaps he also has a magical partner who can help little Harry into the wizarding world. ;)

So character A is hanging out Character B's new friends for the first time, they're all drinking and laughing and then one of them makes a highly inappropriate joke (a rape joke probs) and it gets some chuckles. Character B is shocked silent but Character A is livid and the guy is all like "you're ruining the mood, it was a joke."

Character A: Okay. I have a joke then. Your mom. Who's been banged by at least three people here and tried to seduce your grandfather as well your uncle and your physics teacher! But you somehow still failed. Which is quite the feat because I have seen your mom.

* Guy tries to interrupt *

Oh and you know what else is funny, you think you're so smart but the only thing behind that *massive* forehead of yours is polluted air.

And you think changing your hairstyle will hide the fact your hairline is rapidly receding but it doesn't sweetheart. You'll be bald before 25 and that is not a look you can rock.

Character A: and you. If you were to ask someone if they'd still love you as a worm, they'd say yes because it would be an improvement. Then at least all the dirt that comes out your mouth would be useful. And you'd finally have a purpose in life

Character B knows this and is a part of an organisation that captures time travellers but has slowly fallen in love with character A and can't bring themselves to say or do anything other than just ride along with the chaos

I wish more "I was transported to a fantasy world" material considered all the technicalities and humorous possibilities of that situation.

Like how can MC just talk to everyone? Doubt they have the same language, like yeah magic but imagine fantasy Mc getting stuck with a magical Google translate and all the hilarious situations that could transpire.

"I am not a lizard! (whatever that may be) but I feel it is insulting. I am what you call an Incus Draconae!"

"...A house scaled fire bird? Weird name."

Like imagine the POSSIBILITIES

Another possibility. Air quality! So a world that has not gone through a sort of industrial revolution (very common setting) the air quality between our world and this fantasy world would be very different.

So imagine Mc arrives in this world in a flash of magic and they look around shocked and then faint, because of the oxygen levels😂😂

Situation idea:

You and your newish friends decide to do a challenge. A smut reading challenge. Whoever can keep their face straight the longest: wins.

This should be easy. You've had unrestricted internet access before you knew how to spell all those words. However, one of the stories that were chosen for everyone to read was one of yours. From when you were 16! Fuck.

Now you have to keep your face neutral for an entirely different reason and try and not cringe and die as you read your past writings. The grammar mistakes, the overused tropes and the ever dreaded "their tongues battled for dominance." And your friends will be reading this!!!
